Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it is Mojo on the morning show. KP
had a relationship test over the weekend. She's on crutches
this morning, did you guys, she's on a crutch.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
She's a single crutch, a single crunch. I felt too
extra with book.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
What did you do? What happened here?

Speaker 4 (00:17):
Well?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I went skiing.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
I went to Traverse City Shush Mountain, and I met
up with some friends. This is the first time I've
ever been skiing, and my worst fear happened. I went
down on the hill and I fell and my ski
got caught and did not release. So when I fell,
I twisted over my skis and destroyed my knee destroyed me.

(00:40):
I could not get down the hill, so they had
to call ski patrol to toboggan me down the hill
to the first aid, which was so embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I looked like her corpse. Like I'm not kidding you.
Was it dead body coming down the hill? It was.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
It was very fun until I almost ate Hutchinson myself.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Oh no, I meant that to bottom ride.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
No, it was more and I'm so glad they covered
me in a blanket because it just looked so extra.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
How soon after after you started this. Did you get
this was the first time you're going down?

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
No, first down the hill a few times.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
You went downst you at least caught wind of what
it's like to ski.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yes, are you a I'm not a skier?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Did kno said this was her first? This is not
a good first.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Hill, but going down the actual hill it was. I
was terrified. I was pretty good at pizzaing, pretty good
at break friend, I don't know how to fall.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
How is this a relationship test?

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Explain that to me, because this was supposed to be
the trip where Zach meets my best friend Jenna and
her boyfriend. And he did explain who Zach is the
guy that I've been seeing almost my boyfriend, So we
at this point, I think it's I think it's official.
With what he did for me this weekend. He had
to take care of me the entire weekend. After I

(01:58):
fell and they tobogganed me down the hill. They took
me to First Aid. He met me there, picked me up,
carried me to the car, took me to the emergency room,
got the X rays.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
We waited there for a couple hours.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
He was wheelchairing, tearing me all around and then carrying
me back to the car. And then I could not walk,
so I couldn't go to the toilet on my own.
And this is the ultimate relationship test. When you can't
you can't bend, and you can't squat, and I can't
like lean over to take my pants off, so he

(02:30):
had to take my pants off and sit me on
the toilet.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Wait, how long have you guys been seeing each other?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I've been to.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Man for five weeks and he's literally helping me take
your break.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Did you really think about just like going in your past. No,
because I need to have to wipe it up.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Oh no, because everything I felt like, Wow, this is
why going You have to go on trips with people
that you trust. Because I was immobile because of this
trip and this person was in charge of taking care
of me, and had he not been a good partner
or someone that I thought was a good person to

(03:10):
rely on, I would be crapping my pants and not
having anybody to help. So yeah, that was like the
ultimate relationship test. And he took care of me on
Friday when I was really sick, and then when we
went up north on Saturday, I was just trying to
get through the weekend and then this happened, So it
was like a double whammy at once, and he was

(03:32):
he was the best.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
And let's not forget two weekends ago he took care
of you after you had that face.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
It and blew up like a balloon.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
I had a face treatment. It was like a laser
in my face. Looked like I got stung about eight
hundred bees. And he took care of me then. So
he's only known me.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Five weeks and he's take care of me twice.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Do you think he's getting a hint that this is
what a relationship with you is going to be?

Speaker 6 (03:54):
Like?

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Yeah, I know, I'm like, am I showing him all
the worst sides of me?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
There's a couple of things that I caught on with
this one here could you're talking? And by the way,
anybody ever go away with somebody on a date thing
and injure themselves and you or you got injured and
they had to take care of you or you had
to take care of them, because there is something like
you're stuck like there's it's not like it's this is
all the great vacation that we planned. I now gotta

(04:21):
what did you have to clean your ass and all
or what no.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
My hands?

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Okay, yeah, okay, But there's a couple of there's a
couple of things I'm thinking with this. Number One, you
test him in his sympathy that he has for you.
But at some point, this guy's got to realize this
is a lot holy cow. But also then secondly, you
learn a lot about a person by how they deal

(04:47):
with pain or illness. And if a person is a
whiner when they're dealing with it or kind of like
requiring you to like take care of everything you can't
take care of themselves, that could be bad too, Like
you have to be really careful, Like it's not like
your mom taking care of you, right, your mom will
do anything for you, you know what I mean. The
guy you met five weeks ago may go, you know what,

(05:10):
I don't know if I've had.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Enough of this, you know?

Speaker 7 (05:12):
And what I like about this because you got to
know yourself, and I know there are moments where I
have suggested that their level of pain wasn't what I
thought it should have been, and that's a problem when
you're in dire need. But I don't think it's that serious.
So that's the type of care I give you to

(05:32):
know that he didn't approach it in that way, but
was exactly what you needed.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
It gives her for this.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
She was that and more.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
And I'm the type of person who I do not
like the idea of even being on a crutch.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I'm mortified to be on a crutch right.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Now, and so to have someone that's now responsible for
taking care of me is so embarrassing to me. And
the way he was towards me was almost like he
was he was treating me like my.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Injury was worse than it was in a way.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
So I felt like he was going above and beyond
and was very helpful and empathetic. And I almost felt like, man,
I wish I had broken my leg because this is
how you're treating me.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
You're you're you're.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Treating me like I'm more injured than I actually am.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
You how did you get to work to Did you drive?
Or do you picked me up? Okay? So you are
you not allowed to?

Speaker 4 (06:19):
I injured my driving leg, so I can't I cannot
put full weight on this leg. I can move it around,
but I can't put weight on it, so I can't break.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Do you need surgery? I don't know. I wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
It got an X ray, but that can't see any
ligament damage, so I don't know what's on Katie.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
What happened to you, Katie?

Speaker 8 (06:40):
Yeah, So I had been dating this guy. I'd only
known him six weeks, had been dating him five weeks,
and I was sick. So he took me to urgent
care and I just thought I had like a cold
or something. I had used the bathroom while I was there.
On my way out of the bathroom, I felt very busy.
I ended up passing out. The doctor like pulled my
then boyfriend into the hall away. And but like when

(07:01):
you pass out, like especially, I guess you're sick, Like
I kind of like emptied out my bowels. Yeah, yes,
and like cut so embarrassing, and so I refused the ambulance,
but they said I had to go to the emergency
room because I wanted to go home and clean myself up.
So this man took me home, cleaned me up, and
then took me to the er. And yeah, and now

(07:24):
we've been married seven years.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Oh marry by the way, that poor guy, So you
knew right away either he was going to stay or
he was going to go.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
At that moment, right.

Speaker 8 (07:37):
Oh absolutely. I'm just really glad because I had to
get into his talk afterwards and I was just wearing
sweatpants and they were like obviously not and so and
he's like, oh, no, I have a towel. It's fine.
Like I'm like, how many people.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Have this happened?

Speaker 4 (07:48):
So you.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Got into the truck with a towel because your bowels
still had some stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
On their part?

Speaker 9 (07:56):
Yeah, like I couldn't.

Speaker 8 (07:57):
Like they were like, get to the er and I
was like, oh yeah, we're like take me, take me
to a shower.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Geez man, oh man, that's the see that that this
might be a sign of things to come.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
KP for you. What's up, Jessica.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Hi.

Speaker 9 (08:17):
So when I first met my husband about four years ago,
we were only together for like six or seven weeks,
and he invited me to go on a trip to
Tennessee for his birthday for the week and Gallensburg. So
we're like, let's we'll drive down there together, and so
we decided to go on a hike and I was like, yeah,
let's get some champagne. So you know, obviously drinking and

(08:40):
going on a hike or the best options together. And
then also just decided to take a couple of gummies,
and I'm like, yeah, are.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
You not, That's the only way to do it, and.

Speaker 9 (08:52):
So and then I was like, you know, I really
have to pee. I'm gonna go around this tree. Can
you just make sure no one's going that way and
I'll just be really quick. I quickly turned around the tree.
Oh no, I didn't roll down the hill, but I
quickly pulled up my pants, and I was trying to
like whip around the tree to like look cool, because
I was trying to impress them still, and instead I

(09:14):
fell over this massive tree branch and my shoulder and
like everything went forward and I ended up carrying my
right like my shoulder labrum and also my shoulder was
out of pocket. So and I had this little like
scarf thing in my backpack that like somehow he was
able to like be smart in that moment to like

(09:35):
make a mini sling. But I'm the entire way back
because we had to walk back to his truck. I'm
just crying. I'm like, oh my god, this is the
worst saying ever. And then he's like trying to lift
me into his truck and then that like kind of
popped my shoulder back into place, By.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
The way, is not a great thing, or hiking, or
maybe you guys should go to a movie. This at
a bar, right, I mean seriously, nobody got injured unless
they fall off the barstool.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Can I tell you?

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Though doing this and getting injured like this, and being
put in the situation and seeing how he was acting
towards me, mite solidified how I felt for him.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Oh beautiful, How do you repay him?

Speaker 6 (10:18):
No?

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Really like this? This this man?

Speaker 3 (10:20):
How are you repaying him for taking this treake care
of you?

Speaker 2 (10:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
You gotta figure. Do you think he feels the same way?

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Or do you think he right now is calling his
friends going, oh my god, this is a pain in
the hand.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
No, I think I think he knew before I did.

Speaker 7 (10:36):
You got to throw out a nick muscle to something.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (10:41):
Hey?

Speaker 10 (10:42):
So a little crazier story than skiing. Less than two
months into dating my boyfriend, we decided to go hiking
and hacking hills, and my dumb butt decided to ignore
every sign that said do not go off trails will
be fined two hundred and fifty dollars.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
So I went off trails.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Uh, because you know, why not, and immediately fell on
my butt and fell off cliffs, landed on did cliff
and sliced the entire back of my leg open, and
he got to see what my hammy looked like.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
God and real worse than that, did you guys get
fined for going off.

Speaker 10 (11:27):
The Oh that's the best part. The sheriff, who saw
my leg dangling the wind while waiting for the helicopter
to show up, followed me to the hospital, made me
sign my ticket and then handed it to my boyfriend
and said.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Oh my god, helicopter to the hop insult to injure.
Hold on, Amy, Amy ran into you, ran into KP.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
You got to meet this guy.

Speaker 11 (11:51):
Zach the I sure did, Hi KP.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
Yeah, actually my name is Amy Amy okay, And yeah,
I'm the one that brought the food to KP in
the truck after this.

Speaker 11 (12:04):
Whole incident happened. He was yeah, Hi KP. Yeah. So
she was skiing with a bunch of friends of ours.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
They were all in the same group, and when all
this went down, my husband and checked on her and
told me what happened and said, yeah, this is this
is this woman get KP that got hurt And I
think she's on the radio, and I'm like and then
I done on me who it was, and I'm like,
oh my gosh. So they all the group ended up
coming over to our condo, which is right around the
corner from the ski patrol, and somebody said she was hungry,

(12:33):
and I jumped into mom mode because I'm a mom.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Is that not a king? She's hungry?

Speaker 11 (12:43):
Yeah, I mean she was hungry.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
You don't want to go to the hospital with with
you know, hunger paints, because you know.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
What, she needed surgery And they're like, the last time
you wait, you're like fifteen minutes ago.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
The whole story, you just she just told the story
to tell us about this guy. What do we know
about this guy because we've never met.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
So Zach was really really friendly and very social and
very respectful employed.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Does he looked like is he good looking guy?

Speaker 11 (13:08):
And he's very good look and he's tall, he's handsome.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
KP.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
I think he got a good one there because he
was waiting on you, and you know, he came in
the condo and I said, you know, get some food.

Speaker 11 (13:19):
I got to get over up for KP. And I
you know, he was he said hi to everybody and
he was very friendly.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Either this is going to do one of two things.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Either this is going to keep him around, or she's
going to go home today and all this stuff is
going to be gone.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
One of the two is going to happen.

Speaker 11 (13:36):
That's the case. I think he's he seems very genuine.

Speaker 6 (13:39):
He seems very real.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
We got and he got and your husband's also genuine too.
He got her broad worst.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
That was great.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
It was so funny.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
She he was helping me get up and doubt it.
The first aid lady was like a little old lady.
She goes, is that your tiger? Like yeah, she's like,
she goes and asks him. He goes, she goes, is
that your baby? Weird?

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Do you when you when you go and and then
one of these trips, there's nothing romantic happening, right, Like,
there's no romance happening. I can't say that really, Okay
on pain Pals, I mean we yeah, we.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
We went out and got we've got food, but we
still I mean we.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Were I mean, but you know what I'm talking about romance, Like,
there's no there's You talk about sexy time, Well.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
I'm saying there was none of that, right, That's that's
over when you hurt.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
When you hurt, you.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Lay in the bed.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Let's just say sometimes you don't need Viking toilet.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
I think that would be the last thing in the world.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
If my legs just dangling, there's it's fine.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
And then what happens if you have to go to
the bathroom
