Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen. We do this year after year, and
I'm going to tell you something. It's my favorite thing
that we do on the show, aside from an occasional
Kevin catches us off guard fart moment that for some
reason gets me too. But if you have a wish
that you would like to grant for somebody, if you
know somebody that's going through any kind of troubles, we
want to make their holidays bright and try to help

(00:22):
them out so that their next year is going to
be great. Breaking in entering Christmas wish, go to Mojo's
wish dot org. Bianca is the master of this. So
she's out with our letter writer, Adrian with you, Bianca.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yes, I got Adriana here, Adrian hears me right, Yes.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
That was my mistake.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Adriana, good morning, Good morning. How you doing, Adriana.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I'm doing good, excited.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Adrian is a really special lady.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
We got a chance to talk not that long ago,
Adriana on the phone, and Adrian has been battling her
own thing right now. She's going through some medical stuff
and we'll talk about that coming up here in a
little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
But you want to get your cousin up on her feet.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Right, yes, And.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Adriana, do you think that she has any idea that
we're about to do what we're about to do, No
idea whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I don't even think she knows that I'm out here.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
So this is going to be one of those moments
where when we go and show up at the house,
that that we're going to be causing some some surprise havoc.
I guess are we ready to do this? Ya, Lydia, Lydia,
Let's try and see. Sometimes we get them to answer
their phone, sometimes they don't. And we're calling Marlena this morning, Marlena,

(01:46):
the beautiful mom of five kids. She's got five children. Yeah,
all right, no answer.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
No, I called her twice.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Okay, So Bianca, I'm gonna have you go up to
the door.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
All right, let's do this, and let's.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Know're gonna we're gonna break an enter right now.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
This, by the way, is truly what breaking and entering is.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Where before we would just call and then we would
have him open the door. Now we actually have to
kick in the doors.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Nobody answers a number.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
They don't I know. Yeah, it's tough, all right, they're
gonna walk up to the house.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Young almost went up to the Wronk house.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
No she did not.

Speaker 6 (02:37):

Bika wants at a friend door.

Speaker 3 (02:42):

Speaker 5 (02:43):

Speaker 4 (03:15):

Speaker 1 (03:16):
You got five little ones. They all range from yeah,
from from what age to what age?

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Seventeen to five?

Speaker 3 (03:24):
You are a busy moham.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Listen, yeah, I am listen to them making some noise there.
All right, Well, Marlena, we're here for our Mojo in
the morning breaking and Entering Christmas Wish program. Every single year,
we always hear about these amazing people that are in
our community that maybe just need a little bit of help.
And we heard about you, and I want you to listen.

(03:49):
To listen to your phone because the person who told
us about you is going to read you this letter.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Okay, okay, Dear Mojoe in the morning. My name is Adriana,
and I'm writing this letter with tears in my eyes
and hope in my heart. I'm currently battling stage four
breast cancer and this Christmas, my biggest wish isn't for myself.

(04:19):
It's for my cousin. Marlena is a young single mom
of five beautiful children. One of her little ones is autistic,
and she pours every ounce of her love and energy
into giving them the best life she can. But life

(04:43):
has been so unfair to her lately. She lost her
dad this past October, after already losing her mom. She's
been carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders,
trying to stay strong for her babies. But I can
see how much she's struggling. There are nights she goes

(05:09):
without so her kids can have something. She never complains,
never asks for help, but she's tired and scared, and
I can see it in her eyes. She deserves to
feel seen, to feel loved, and to have a reason
to smile again. Mojo, this is my Christmas wish. I

(05:34):
want Marlena to breathe a little easier, to remind her
that she's not forgotten and for her to know that
there is hope. With all my love and gratitude, Adriana, Wow.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
What a beautiful letter from a really special person.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
About another really special person.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Yeah, about another special person exactly. Yeah, she definitely is
strong too.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
You are doing literally everything you were doing, all the work.
You're making sure that these kids don't feel any different
than anybody else.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
You're keeping a roof over their head.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
And we heard from just talking to Adriana, we heard
that that house is a beautiful home, but that home
needs some things. And so this morning here on the show,
are breaking entering Christmas Wish program is going to bring
everything in that house to make this Christmas the greatest
Christmas for a screaming child ever.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Excited.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Sanna is arriving today, and I want to make sure
that you know this. We're going to be bringing in
truckloads of things to your house. Oh wow, we heard,
we heard that you guys have limited furniture. We understand
that basically bean bags are kind of it for what
you guys sit.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
On in that home.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah, well, we're going to make it different. We're going
to bring in some furniture. We're going to make sure
that you got a nice place to to lay your
head and watch whatever you want to watch on television
at the end of a hard working day.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Thank you guys so much.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
And we want to make sure the kids have all
the beds.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
And comforters and everything that they need just to be
feeling great this Christmas.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
All right, Bianca, are you there? Yea, yeah, I'm here, Bianca, get.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
The entire elves, all all of those promo team elves
to bring in everything right now.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
All right, let's load it up.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
We're loading up the house.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Merry Christmas.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Hey, let's do it, Adriana.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
We want to make sure that all the kids are
going to get everything that they need for the holidays.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
They're having an emotional moment right now. They're hugging it out.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
It's beautiful.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
I know how excited the kids are, and they're about
to get really excited when they see the truckloads of
gifts that are about to come in that home.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Look at everything for the little ones. I mean, Marcia,
we've got some wicked fans.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
We've got some roadblocks fans, a little artist in that household.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
So Marcello's five I believe that that's who we're hearing, yes,
and then Sahara is seven, so they're getting all the
toys and gifts that they need, while Burnell, who is eleven,
it's getting everything that Burnell wants, including the Lions gear
because such a big Lions fan, as well as all
the games like the Roadblocks and the Minecraft.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Bri Asia is fourteen and she had a few wants,
but she needed a new bed. She didn't have a bed,
so we definitely had that on our list. And then
since here is seventeen and she is getting all of
the girly things that she could ever ask for.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Adriana, you you don't seem like the type of person
that asks for anything or ask for help. You said,
you you seem like the type of person that wants
to do it on your your own. And that's that's
where I will say this to you that, Adriana, we

(09:38):
want to we want you to know that your your
cousin Marlena is going to be getting a lot of
help today too. But we got something at the end
that we want to also help you with. Oh okay,
so I'm gonna I'm going to talk about that. Tell
us a little bit tell us about this, this beautiful
cousin of yours and these wonderful kids that were given
their little Christmas to this morning.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Oh gosh, my cousin. I've been really close with her
my whole life. You know, she's been through a lot,
and I'm glad that you guys could be able to
help her and her kids. Like she said, they range
from seventeen to five. Folk big age yet, but they
pretty much get along, you know, beautiful kids.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
They all look alike, and I'm assuming that the seventeen
year old has to also help out a little bit
around the house.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Right and yeah, yeah, they out try to help each
other out.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
But yeah, it's incredible.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
I'm watching on Facebook right now and there are so
many people that know Marlena and say that this is
the most deserving family.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yeah, yeah, definitely, you guys were embracing on Facebook just
a little bit ago. Is Marlena close right there to you?
I can't see.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah, I think she's right here.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Let's yeah, let's grab her real quick. Okay.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Excitement in the background with the kids is just.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
It's amazing, beautiful het Marlene, Marlena, we want to make
sure that your home has obviously everything that the kids
are gonna want, but we want to make sure everything
is there for you too, So we're bringing in everything
that you would need to make this house a home,

(11:22):
like all the things for the kitchen. Our friends from
Kroger going to bring in a ton of groceries for you.
Kroger every single year does this. But we want to
make sure you take care of yourself. And that's why
our friends over at Hand and Stone are giving you
a spa day. Our good friend George over a six salon,

(11:43):
our good our good friend George over a six salon
said that he's going to make you look even more
beautiful than you already look, and he wants you to
come in and get pampered too at six salons.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
And then we want to too much.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
We want to make sure that you have money to
be able to get the kids around, so we got
gas cards in there so that you can actually make
sure that you fill up your tank and are able
to get the kids to all the activities that they have.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Oh wow, thank you. So this is too much for
six o'clock in the morning. I was not expecting this.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
That's our goal and Marlena is Marlena is not too much,
you know, you being the mother that you are to
all five of those children, giving everything up in the
world to make sure that they have something. And beyond
all the gifts and the bean bags, what they have
is you and you the best gift that any of

(12:38):
these kids can ask for. And this is the reason
why this is happening is you do put your everything
into everything and God is showing you that you're not
alone in this moment. You got people out here looking
for Thank you so much, and can can Adriana hear
us too?

Speaker 4 (12:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Right here, okay, both of you guys.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I want to make sure we're breaking it and Christmas
wish that we try to help out those that are
in need, also not forgetting those that are always looking
out for others. And with you battle in right now
and you are going to overcome and win. Cancer does
not understand who cancer is going to have to deal
with in you.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
We want to pick the wrong one. I love that.
I love that.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
We want to we want to write a check to
Marlena for one thousand dollars to use towards anything that
we might have forgot, but also bills.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Oh my god, thank you so much and Adriana.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
We're also going to write you a check for one
thousand dollars two to help you with anything that we
don't have to do any of this. But you know what,
this isn't from us. This is from everybody that listens
to this radio show.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Thank you guys so much.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
We really appreciate it. Thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
This is the best Christmas ever.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Merry Christmas to you, guys. Bianca. Let's make this thing
a party. Can we turn this into like a bi party?

Speaker 4 (14:05):
All right, let's got your kids.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
We're gonna marry Christmas.

Speaker 6 (14:07):

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
