Speaker 3 (01:40):
Good morning? Good morning Don? How are you? I'm okay?
How are you good? Don?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
We are here this morning to do something that I
think is needed in UH and I think that you
have been such an amazing grandma and a mother and
you are going to be recognized this morning for that.
We received a beautiful letter from Ashley about you, and
I want to have her read that letter.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
So I want you to listen to this phone.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Okay, okay, dear model in the morning. My name is
Ashley King, and I would like to nominate my sister
in law John before your breaking and entering WHISH program.
John is one of the most caring and solvesless people
I have ever met. She would give you her shirt
off her back, has a hearty goal, and always make

(02:31):
sure everyone is taking care of before herself, especially her
children and her grandchildren. Mojo, I have to tell you
how much I admire Don's strengths. She has been through
so much. Seven years ago, her beautiful daughter, a Man,
had passed away unexpectedly. It's something no mother should ever

(02:54):
have to go through. John took on the role of
raising her grandson, who is now sixteen. The heartache doesn't
stop there. Just a few short weeks ago, Don got
a phone call that her daughter Rachel, had been in
a car accident and passed away. To say our hearts
were absolutely shattered is an understatement. I can't imagine losing

(03:20):
one child, let alone too. Don is now also caring
for Rachel's five beautiful babies. I'm hoping, Mojo, that you
and your community can help alleviate some of the stress
for Don this holiday season. She's there's a beautiful Christmas.
Thank you from the bottom of the heart. Ashley.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Wow, Ashley given hugs right now. If you're watching on
the video, it's your emotion. Yeah. Thank you, Don.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
You were you were called upon to be a mother
a couple of times. Here now to your beautiful children,
and we are so sorry about the losses that you
experienced with.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Amanda and Rachel.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
And you got some great grand kids. Man, those kids
are beautiful.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Aren't they have a lot of family in here right now?
Or spring these gifts?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Where are they at?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
What was this right here?

Speaker 6 (04:25):
This is your sister Grandma and Randma.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Grandma, good morning you, Hi, Grandma.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Thank you so much for all you guys do for everybody.
It's just unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Well, we're not here to get the thanks. We're here
to give the love. And Don deserves it.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
You know, we feel it down.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I want you to know something that when we read
this letter, it stood out so much. And the reason
it stood out is because there are so many people
that can relate to you. There are so many people
that our grandparents that now are taking on the role
of being parents again because of some circumstance. And for

(05:09):
all of them that are out there right now, we're
recognizing them by recognizing you with this wish. And that's
why this morning are breaking and entering Christmas Wish program
and all of our elves are going to bring a
bunch of things into your house right now to make
your home just beautiful for Christmas.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
You know we got here, understand amazing.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
How's Ashley holding up?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Though Ashley was a mess when we were going through
that letter, we had to. We had to have a
couple of times because Ashley had to stop down.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
The pace right now. But it's okay.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
I'm just I just can't. I can't believe this. I
just I can't believe it.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
It's just truly amazing gifts.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
Yeah, it's unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Ashley.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
You talked to that letter so much, and I want
you to just now instead of be reading that letter,
I want you to talk from your heart right now
and tell me about what kind of a mom and
a grandma Don is.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
She's just amazing. Don is just an amazing grandmother, an
amazing mother. One thing I just always admire about her
is her love for her children and her grandchildren and
her just her family. I mean again, she has been
through so much and she would stop whatever she's doing
to just make sure that everyone else is taking care

(06:34):
of and to make sure everyone else is okay. And
she's been there for us a lot too.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
My son was.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
Diagnosed with leukemia and John just showed up and did
things that we will never forget and we're forever.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Grateful for that.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Well, I want for grandbabies in her hand right now,
right that one of your granddadless Miley.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
In her hand right now, you know, Donna, I want
to talk to Grandma. Grandma. Yes, my name is Kevin
and one of my favorite people in the world is
my grandma.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
And I uh, you know at this time where it's Christmas,
you know, we we think a lot about money, and
people can tell you sometimes the price of things, but
they can't really understand the value. And the value is priceless.
And what you are doing for your grandchildren is priceless.

(07:32):
And the love that they have for you is going
to overflow for generations and generations. And this is just
a small moment that we can show our love for you,
and they tell you that we see you and we
appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Me and Christmas, thank you.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
I appreciate you too.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
And they's funny how Grandma's house was always a safe place, right.
Oh yeah, And to now know that Ryan, who's sixteen
years old. Which what do we got for Ryan Channing?

was for a gaming chair. So Anna and I picked
that up along with tons of lions and Michigan stuff
and all sorts of Xbox gift cards and door Dash
gift cards. Everybody got new clothes, new bedding.

so we got her a ton of self care and
some cute clothes, new batting, Starbucks and door Dash gift cards.

from barbies to dollhouses, to arts and crafts supplies to games.
