Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it's Mojo on the morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
So this is something that when keV was telling like
a couple of different stories, he kind of passed by
this one and I was like, wait a second, that's
got to be the topic, right there? Have your son
Josiah went to go get a haircut.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Yeah, he wouldn't got his hair done. So Josiah is,
he wants to like maintain his youth, and I think
a huge reason of it is because he wants to
be a voice actor and he's already doing an amazing
job with voice actor.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
They just dropped something called The Basics.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
They got over a million views on YouTube and like
five day's like he's he's really into this, and he's
a child voice actor, so he's understood watching some of
his favorite shows, the turnover of his favorite actors once
they start to mature in their voice deepens. So Josiah is,
I won't say really concerned, but the thought is there
of like what if my voice changed years old, about

(00:54):
to be thirteen, and he you know, heightens his voice
sometimes for these characters and he doesn't want it to change.
So maintaining his youth is a big deal. Josiah has
saw hair growing on various parts of his bodies. Some
places he's okay with. One of the places he's not
is like his mustache. He does not want a mustache.

(01:14):
This has been communicated between he and I multiple times before.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Dad, Can I shave my mustache? Absolutely not.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I even tell him when you shave it, it's gonna
grow back even quicker, hoping that that would deter him
from wanting to shave it in the first place. Conversation
after conversation after conversation, I take Josiah to the hair
salaiaes and he got a lot of hair. So he
got these two strand twists, you know, you know, so
he get his hair twisted. U all of a sudden,
after I take him back home, after you get his hair,
I take him to his mom's house because she can
take him to school in the morning.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
She calls me on the phone, was like, did you
know Josiah had his mustache shaved? I said what, because
this has been a conversation with him and I before
he shoved own mustache. No, the damn hair addresser did.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I feel like she should have asked me no, No,
I'm not, I'm not. I think more of the onus
is on Josiah because he knows that that's something that
we've talked about before and that's not what you're supposed
to do. But also blame to be placed on this
grown ass. Let me not saying some gonna have to
have a commerce, I want to say on this beautiful
young lady who I've grown to have an amazing relationship with.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
She loves Josiah, so I'm sure it was harmless.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
She thought it was probably okay, but I still feel
like she should have asked, as a father with a
young child, is this okay?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Do you think Joe asked her to?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Absolutely, she didn't just do it out of her own thought,
but even then she should have been like, Dad, is
this okay?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
And crazy thing? I was there? Now, let me say this.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
When I dropped Josiah off, I left for about thirty
minutes and then I came back. She had to have
cut it while I was in the salon, so it
would have been nothing for her to look over and
be like.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Hey, cav he wants that da da da da.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
But again, I'm thinking that she's just doing it, like
she's not thinking it's that big of a deal. But
I still feel like that's a boundary you shouldn't cross
without having the parents' permission.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Wow, Another question, So why are you not, like, why
don't you want him to shave it?

Speaker 1 (03:03):
What is like a normal age for a guy to
start shaving? I don't even know.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
I mean, I don't know that either, but I know
twelve for damn show. Ain't it like allow yourself to grow,
allow yourself to mature, allow yourself to like become the
person you're meant to become.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Because once you start to do it, you're doing it
every every day, right, every other day.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
I don't know, can I can I pop in here?

Speaker 6 (03:25):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yeah, I don't like your face right now.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
No, I'd like to pop in because I was the
kid with the excessive hair.

Speaker 7 (03:32):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I basically had full on mustache and beard when I
was like in the sixth grade, all right, Josiah's in
middle school right now.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I had hair underneath my arms that.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Literally looked like I had like a gorilla growing under
in there.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
And so I played basketball.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Kids would not want to guard me because I had
so much hair in my body. Long story short, my
dad would not let me shave my hair like you
wouldn't let Josiah let the kid have his hair off?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Why?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
But I don't think I listen, I don't think it's
the right that that woman does it without asking you.
I don't know the story behind that, other than as
a kid, I don't want my hair like you don't
want to go to school as the kid with the mustache.
And any guys with the mustaches when you're a little kid,
call us up and tell us.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I remember.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
I remember when I was in ninth grade, my boy
Thomas shut out Thomas.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
I want to say, Thomas had.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
A full beard. Yeah, the girls and that was attractive.
I listen, I'm going to say this to you. I
used to get carded the other way when I would
go into school. They were like, excuse me, dads aren't
a lot Asia, what's up? It's Mojoe in the morning.
What do you think about the hair hairdresser that shaved

(04:42):
Josiah's face?

Speaker 6 (04:44):
Hey, good morning y'all. So I feel like that's a
complete no. You always speak to the parent first before
you do something. My son, he has super curly hair.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I love it.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
I've always headedlong. His father lived in Kentucky. He went
down to Kentucky for the summer and came back looking
like a little bill.

Speaker 8 (05:08):
You I E.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
I'm texting what is going on? And a stepmom did it,
but she blamed his dad and like my son was
like five at the time, He's like, no, miss Shada
did where are we lying? Because she just didn't know
and understand how to take care of his hair lives. Still,
it's most definitely something you talked about to the.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Parents about that. What's up, Rebecca, how you doing?

Speaker 9 (05:36):
Hey, how are you guys?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Good morning morning, what's happening?

Speaker 6 (05:40):
So?

Speaker 9 (05:40):
I used to be a barber, and so I did
a lot of men's haircuts, and anytime a parent would
bring in their child, and a lot of times they'd
want mullets, especially hockey season. Some parents were cool if that,
some parents weren't. But anytime there was a child in
my chair, I would always verify with the parents exactly
what whom they have done and what can't they have done?

(06:02):
So I feel like maybe that should have happened.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, for sure. Well, and the other thing too, is
I don't know a full disclosure. Maybe Josiah said, yeah,
my dad said it's okay to shave it.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
But even still he's twelve. You double to ask what's up? Michelle?
You better not have done that.

Speaker 8 (06:17):
Good morning. Well, my brother got a razor kit for
eighth grade graduation ten, so he was harry at thirteen.
So I really have a hard time you telling your
son he can't shave when it's something he really wants
to do. Because my parents didn't want me to shave

(06:37):
my legs, so guess what, I snuck and did it
and was not taught the right way and.

Speaker 6 (06:43):
Ended up with razor burns so bad.

Speaker 8 (06:45):
It's important to teach your kids the right way, especially
if they want to. Shaving your mustache is not a
big deal for you, but it is for him.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I mean, coming down on you.

Speaker 7 (06:57):
Yeah, man, okay, my parents were terrible with me growing
up and doing.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
I begged to shave my legs because I was the
only girl like Rossia Middle School in gym class that
would sit I would.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
I remember looking like left.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
And right and being like, why do my legs look
like so hairy and everybody else's are smooth.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
I agree with some of the points that she brought up,
but I also want Josiah to grow up and be
comfortable in his skin and if his reason is to
maintain his youth for acting. There's only so much that
you can control, like changing your voice, that's one thing,
but like shaving your face just so you can like
stay young and look young.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
You're twelve years old. I saw him the week before last.
I did not he had a mustache at all. What's up, Tyler? Alright?

Speaker 10 (07:53):
So I was in seventh or eighth grade. I was
the hairy kidding school on a pretty prominent mustag. My
teacher pulled me aside and said I had to shave.
It was inappropriate to have it in school. Got my
parents involved and just said I had to keep it
shaving and take off the mustache.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
You know, it's crazy that the teacher can comment like
it is interesting.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
There are some I don't know, There.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Were some some kids that I went to school with
that were told in high school that they had to shave,
like they were told by the teachers that they couldn't
have because we went to a private Catholic school, so
you couldn't have mustaches, you know what I mean? Like
that was it, and these kids had full on mustaches.
One kid had like a little hitler And I was
going to.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Say, I'm not lying like you not be walking around
with that damn thing around? What's up, tiviany I?

Speaker 4 (08:46):
And how's it going, guys?

Speaker 1 (08:47):
What's going on?

Speaker 9 (08:49):
I just wanted to comment because I feel like that
keV just got you got to take a different approach
to this and look at it from his point of view, Like,
how would.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
You feel it?

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Say talk to me, I'm listening, talk to me.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah, So like how would how would it make you feel?

Speaker 8 (09:04):
Like for yourself if you didn't want let's just say
you were my sash.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
I haven't seen you recently, so I wouldn't know if you.

Speaker 9 (09:09):
Have one, but you didn't want that, and then people
were telling you you couldn't do that, Like how uncomfortable
that would make you?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
What's her?

Speaker 3 (09:15):
This is Tiffany, Tiffany, I'm thirty five damn years old.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
That the SAME's the same.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
It's the same concept.

Speaker 9 (09:23):
If you don't want someone, you want your kids.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I know, but like these kids.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
We cannot make these kids adults so fast and just
give them free reign on making every choice and every
decision of their life.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
He's twelve years old. You living under my room?

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Somebody, don't don't say don't say no, no, I love it.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
By the way, I love it. I love it.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
You pulled the you're living under my room listen to
Hope situation. Hope, what did what did your tell your
story about your daughter?

Speaker 7 (09:55):
Hi?

Speaker 4 (09:55):
First time, long time and then that from school. But
my daughter's grandmother, her dad's grandmother, actually shaved her arm
pits when I sent her over there for Bible camp,
and I was very pissed off. She didn't want to wait.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Is this your your grandmother? What your grandmother shared? Nope?

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Her dad's grandmother.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Oh, wait a second, her dad's grandma. Are you and
the dad together?

Speaker 9 (10:24):
No?

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Oh, so your exes grandma. But her father's you know, mom,
h shaved your daughter's arm pits and didn't ask for
permission from you? Did she ask for permission? Did she
ask for permission from the dad?

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Nope, she didn't ask anybody. I called her dad off.
I sent her like a very kind message saying, hey,
I would appreciate next time, you know, a conversation first,
and she went off. She was you know, how dare
you and all this others up? And my daughter was
not happy either.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Was it like religious reasons?

Speaker 4 (11:02):
She just thought it was she's too little old school,
So she just thought it was like not attractive looking
on her.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Oh yeah, how thick was it? That's something as a mom.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
So is there moments you want to share with your
daughter for the first time? You know, I would be yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
That's something that a mom should do with their daughter,
and a dad.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
She's shaving your legs another one, you should do that
with your daughter for the first time.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Listen to this. Sarah took her daughter to go get
a haircut. Your daughter wanted what kind of a cut?

Speaker 11 (11:36):
Good morning? She wanted like the door of the Explorer,
the real short haircut.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
And you didn't like that idea sup her curly hair.

Speaker 11 (11:43):
So when they let her go back because it was COVID,
they didn't want parents as long as the kid sat still.
And she brought her out and she had a full blown,
side to side, curly little afro.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Wait, and you didn't ask for that, absolutely not.

Speaker 11 (11:57):
It was really clear that I wanted it sold length,
you know, at least, and she came out short. But
you know that the lesson out of this is that
my daughter walked out with the world's biggest smile and
she felt like a million bucks. So although I wanted
to be upset. Being upset with it made her feel
less than amazing.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Yeah, well did Josiah have was he happy that he
was shaving?

Speaker 3 (12:20):
I didn't even look you know the craziest part. He
didn't even look different. That's the craziest part. See, then,
why are you worried?

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Because we got to.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
Until today he's gonna look like you.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Got start healthy habits.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Man, I'm going to get him some after shave. We're
gonna get him there. I'm gonna take Josiah. We're going
over to that shaving store that's in the mall that
nobody shops at and I don't know how it's still open,
And I'm gonna take him over there, and I'm gonna
get him a whole little kids. You're the same guy
that has probably offered my son orgs.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
You offer me right,
