Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it is Mojo in the Morning Show. Have
you ever returned something and when you returned it it
was one of those things where you go into it
at the store or wherever it is, and you worry
that they're going to think like you're a criminal or something.
Arrett Do you ever get that filling, Megan, when you
are returning anything that they look at you like differently
(00:20):
for trying to return something.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
I hate returning things. I hate it so much it's
not even funny. I feel like I will eat the
cost of whatever the item is versus taking it back,
even if the product's faulted. Do you know how many
like eyeliners or mascaras I bought that were dried out?
And I'm like, well, I'm not going back and telling
them that they're going to think I brought the old
product in and.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
That's expensive stuff too.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
I won't do it.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
But my girlfriend has balls of steel. She took her
two year old patio set back to the store that
she bought it from because she wanted a new one,
and they returned it and gave her the full price back.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Micasco no Minards.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Yes, that's that's Cosco.
Speaker 6 (01:09):
Yeah, and they took it back and she used it
for two years. It wasn't just sitting in a box, babes.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
It's been outside for.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Two whiles two years and then even that full birs
back though.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
That's forever. That's insane.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
What's the longest that you guys have ever done?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (01:28):
The return on? Like what? Like you had it around
for a while and you return it.
Speaker 6 (01:31):
Sometimes I find stuff when I'm like switching out my car.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Lease, that's it, like fell under a seat. I'm going, oh,
dang it, I really did want to return that.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
I have shower curtain hooks right now that I bought that.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I'm like, I won't even drop them back off to
send back to Amazon because I feel bad.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
I feel guilty returning them. There's nothing wrong with them.
Speaker 6 (01:51):
I just I can't even see out of any of
the windows of my car right now, any of the
windows or the rear window because it's floor to ceiling
with patio cushions that I still have to take back.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
It's so dangerous for me to be driving to take away.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
You have to take them back because you bought them
and you don't like them, or what.
Speaker 6 (02:08):
Bottom wasn't I put them on our furniture in our
backyard and they looked hideous. So we had to reload
them in my car. And I can't see you dang thing.
I have to at some point, fine time to do it.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
What about you guys with the gosh with dresses for
our events and things like that. I see you guys
sometimes buy things and then return them after you wear them.
Do you guys ever feel guilty about doing that?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
I did that once for our what was that? Our
prom our?
Speaker 6 (02:35):
I wore that dress for twenty minutes and it was
so ugly.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
I'm like, this is going right back.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
That was just a picture though, right, We were just
taking a picture.
Speaker 6 (02:41):
Yeah, we did, Kelly, we did. It was COVID. Yeah,
we did a live stream or something.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
So it wasn't like you went out and sweating it
or anything like that.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Let me know, I'll tell you.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
But I still feel like they know when they see
you walking up to that you.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Want to intentionally bought ugly dresses.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I kept dress.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
I felt guilty returning, did you. Yes?
Speaker 1 (03:02):
I like when you can return it to a UPS
store or to like the FedEx places, and they do
like those returns where you just go.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
In there and you hand it to them, and Whole
Foods you just drop it in the thing.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Bringing it to the stores, and actually the stores that
sell it, like after you bought something, I always feel
like they're looking at you.
Speaker 6 (03:20):
Well, now, Target asks you why really, what is wrong
with the item? Why are you returning it? And sometimes
I'm like, my daughter thought it was ugly?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
I get so honest.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
I had that one of the big department stores in town.
I was returning something that I bought, and they did
the whole thing, and they give you like almost like
a run around, like I feel like online they give
you a run around too, like where they go through
such a process where it's like, ah, I forget it,
I'll just keep the damn thing.
Speaker 8 (03:42):
I went to return something at Target and the person
prior to me had these sandals that they brought in.
As soon as she walked away, the ladies start talking whatever.
And when you walked up, these sandals had been so
walked in it was like she was march with Martin
Luther king.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
From here to so much you can return, you have
to take them, I will say so.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
Speaking of Costco, I was there last weekend, and you
know how you have to walk past the customer service
on your way out to get your receipt checked. And
somebody was waiting in the line to do returns and
they had it looked like a tree like they were
going to plant trees for their yard, which they sell
at Costco.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
This thing had not one leafer butd on it.
Speaker 6 (04:24):
It was a stick and the guy had it in
his car and I'm thinking, now you did not buy it, like,
like what this is the story with that that you
were bringing it back?
Speaker 5 (04:33):
What's up, Anthony, Hya, It's moje in the morning.
Speaker 7 (04:37):
How you guys doing this morning?
Speaker 5 (04:38):
We're good, doing good, buddy? What's happening?
Speaker 7 (04:42):
I was going to take some stuff back to the
store this morning. Uh, somebody bought me. You know, my
birthday was a couple of weeks ago and somebody bought
me some you know, people got me gifts. And it's
the wrong size and you know, the fan was too small.
So I was going to take a fan back and
I didn't open it or nothing because it's too small.
And I go to take a back leg it's the
wrong sand in here, and I'm like, are you kidding me?
(05:03):
Right now? And that's the thing I mean it's a
plain new fans.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
That's the thing. You probably got somebody else's return. Huh.
Speaker 7 (05:11):
The way they did it, I have no idea. And
it's like, I I got a receipt the box a field,
Can I returned it? They're like, absolutely not, and they
t calling security I because I kind of got a
little pissed off. Wow, I'm a trail driver and I
got a little attitude problem, you know how it goes.
I got.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
Hold on.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
I didn't know you can get banned from stores from
returning which amy you got banned from what store?
Speaker 7 (05:39):
The target?
Speaker 9 (05:40):
Actually, when I had my daughter, people got me stuff
that was not on my registry. She was growing out
of clothes too fast and the diapers.
Speaker 7 (05:48):
So I was.
Speaker 9 (05:49):
Returning stuff and they told me that I had reached
a limit and I wasn't allowed to return anything for
the rest.
Speaker 10 (05:54):
Of the year.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Was that a long time ago?
Speaker 9 (05:57):
That was two thousand and well twenty three.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Oh okay, I think they must have changed it, because.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Well they're trying desperately to get their customers.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
Yeah, they had to have changed. It's why I tried.
I buy returned so much stuff from there.
Speaker 9 (06:12):
I definitely have not been back to Target, but because
I was like, that's no way.
Speaker 10 (06:18):
To help me do business.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Yeah, for sure, I took it ehere.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Especially if it's like baby brand new baby stuff. Obviously
that's coming from like our registry or something like you
know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Like weird See works at Costco and you probably see
some of the craziest things. I remember we had a
call one time SEE from a person who said that
the person brought back a half eaten chicken.
Speaker 5 (06:41):
I get the hell out, what's going on?
Speaker 11 (06:45):
Somebody brought back in six dozen rolls and two dozen exhibit.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
A news reaster.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
And you have to take them back.
Speaker 11 (06:54):
We have to take them back, but we had to
throw them in the garbage because you can't return eggs.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Oh man, So how many how many pumpkin pies get
returned half eaten?
Speaker 12 (07:06):
I don't know, But the.
Speaker 4 (07:07):

dump those things in a in a garbage somewhere?
Speaker 5 (07:19):

Speaker 1 (07:21):
They must You guys must make so much money though
that it doesn't matter.
Speaker 7 (07:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Yeah, that's pretty crazy. Uh, what's up?
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Somebody? You returned a pool? How did you like like
a swimming pool or what like a baby pool?
Speaker 7 (07:39):
Me?
Speaker 13 (07:39):
Yeah, yeah, I'm here. I didn't hear you say my name.
Speaker 12 (07:43):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
I didn't seem sorry. I was just saying I said
your story. But you returned to pool.
Speaker 13 (07:48):
I saw it was a friend of mine and she
had it all boxed uff and like told me that
she set it up and it didn't work. So I
didn't think anything of it. To get back to Mayer
without the receipt they reached earned it. But then they
told me I was giving me blacklisted. I'm figured it
was just like I couldn't return something without a receipt. No,
(08:09):
I'm like blacklisted from doing any return to any Meyer
ever again.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
Wow, man, oh man.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
So you know what, you pay me half and I'll
return your stuff at Meyer for you.
Speaker 14 (08:21):
I'll be I'll be your mule. Okay, all right, all right,
I'll see what's up, Barb. How you doing?

Speaker 11 (08:36):
I ordered this around sound system, got at home to
set it up, and it was a totally.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Different old one in there.
Speaker 11 (08:41):
Someone had previously bought it, switched it and returned it,
and I was the one that got the and you
know the bad deal of that, right, Yeah, So thankfully
I knew somebody at the store, so they were willing
to take the exchange for me that's the one, and
gave me the proper one.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
But that's the worst.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
I with clothes, And I know Lydia has. We talked
about it.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
Where you get you order clothes from like an online retailer,
like a Revolver or something, and you get it and
they either smell in the armpit or they have makeup
all over them, and you're.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Like, dang, I hate sometimes when you have the person
tried it on in the back, you know, dressing room
and they had all over it or worse body odor
like the.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Order and I for me, it's always stretched out right.
Speaker 11 (09:24):
The chest don't fit anymore because you know, someone stretched
the ELASTICA.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Hey, hey, hey, hey, leave us alone.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Autumn. What's going on in the morning?
Speaker 11 (09:32):
Hi?
Speaker 14 (09:33):
Hi, how are you good?
Speaker 5 (09:34):
What's going on?
Speaker 10 (09:36):
So my husband actually took back dead goldfish to Walmart
as they died. He put them in as a flat
baggy and kept them in the freezer, and then when
all of them died, he took them to Walmart and
said something was wrong with them. And he wanted an
exchange a gift card and they did it.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Wow, shut up.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Imagine taking a bag of dead fish from a customer.
Speaker 12 (09:58):
Yeah, I wouldn't.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
We're embarrassing.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
And then here's here's a good one for all of
you girls, a little uh purse hack or handbag hacked?
Speaker 5 (10:10):
Angela you there?
Speaker 12 (10:13):
Yes, So I worked part time at Macy's at the
Summerset Collection, and I worked in fine handbags, and so
this lady would come in every year. She was a doctor,
and she would bring back her Michael cors back and
say that something was wrong with it, and she would
they would force us to give her a replacement bag.
(10:35):
And I looked at the sales ladies that were there
longer than I and I'm like, okay.
Speaker 10 (10:39):
Wait a minute.
Speaker 12 (10:40):
And she's serious, and they were like yep. And every
time she comes in, we walk away. So we're letting
you handle limited. And I'm like, but wait a minute.
The bag has been used prayed, you know, the straps
were you know, frayed with the material coming to loose.
But every single year she would come in and get
a replacement that she was not the only customer.
Speaker 14 (11:03):
I mean, she's a doctor. This is a doctor. Yeah,
all right, there you go.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
All right, so there's there's a there's a return hack.
I'm trying it today, Angela. I'm gonna see what I
can do.
Speaker 13 (11:15):
I wonder what you what you see now?
Speaker 12 (11:18):
Macy, you know they're pretty much out of business.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
That doctor put them out of business operation.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
I can't believe her.
