Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Mojo in the morning show phone number eight
four to four Mojo Live. The text is nine five
five zero zero. And if you do text us know
that we will call you up to get you on
the radio. And when we do, you got to tell
us if you're a first time long time Shannon, the
(00:22):
creepy guy and the bartender, where were you at?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Well?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
I can imagine that this happens to bartenders or like
retail employees a lot, where you get somebody that just
develops a crush on you and then hangs out. And
I saw this happen in action on Friday night I
was at. I was at actually a hotel bar, which
I think even makes it a little bit creepier. And
(00:45):
there were three very very cute bartenders I would say,
all female, all maybe in their like mid twenties, if
I had to guess, And there was a guy who
was also probably in his mid twenties who rolls up
to the bar and he sits across the side that
I'm sitting on, and he sits all by himself. There's
really like nobody on that side of the bar at
this time of night, and it is very obvious that
(01:08):
he has the hots for one specific real cute blonde bartender.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
So again he's solo. He orders a drink.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I overhear him say to the bartender, Oh, it's nice
to see you again, and made a comment about how
he was there the night before, so this was Friday,
so he had to be there on Thursday. And he
would not stop talking to her. And it was to
the point where I'm kind of watching this going. She
is uncomfortable, very clearly, but anytime she turned around and
(01:40):
like made eye contact with him, he would try to
catch her attention and like continue to talk to her.
And I felt so bad for her because it was
creepy to watch this island and she did not want
this attention whatsoever. You could see, like she came over
to talk to me, over to the talk to the
(02:00):
two couples that were next to me. There was a
wedding at the hotels or there were a couple of
girls from the wedding that were on the other side
of me, and she came over.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
She did everything she could to avoid this guy.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
Was he not good looking?
Speaker 4 (02:10):
And he just like sat there and stared at her.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
What was he?
Speaker 4 (02:15):
I mean, I want to be mean, but because he
was good looking.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Probably he was not good looking, but I'm like, okay,
so he came last night, he's here again tonight, and
she was just not having it.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
I wonder if she outright said to him like sir,
I'm not interested, or I have a boyfriend or something.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
Because I would think so. I don't think she did something.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
I think that that that if you're a bartender, I
think that that probably does happen to you a lot.
Is it the place that I think I know where
it is? Is it that starting deep? No? No, no, no no,
(02:57):
and thedaction to me feels like there are people that
go there all the time and pick people up all
the time. I was so I went into the to
the Daxton once with Jeff Saqua and we and we went,
we went in there and we hung out there for
five minutes, and I said to him, I go, we
got to get.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
Out of here. He goes, and he goes, why is that?
Speaker 1 (03:16):
And I said, because I feel like we're two guys
that look like they're here to pick up, you know,
twenty year old girls, and it's not a good look
for a guy like me, who's a married guy that
you know, I don't want to Yeah, And I know
you are. And I said to him, I go, like,
can't we go get ice cream? And I just think
(03:38):
it looks like you can't go to hotel bars, like
as a as a guy. That's you know, like if
I'm in a you know, you're in a relationship, you
can't hang at a hotel bar.
Speaker 7 (03:46):
I haven't been to a dax to many times, but
the Toms I have gone at Barbie.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
BEng It it is.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
It is basically a clue. Yeah it does.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yes, it's a very it's a very nice place, but
it's not a place that you go to sands your
wife when she's out of town.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
I would that's not a good look.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
But this was just and like we were.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
We did a tomic earlier, and please go back to
the podcast about feeling trapped somewhere, and that's what this
girl what she had to work.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
She had to tend to everybody else. And I'm like,
and he's just watching.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Are you Are you with a group of people or who
you know? I was with Wes, you're with West.
Speaker 7 (04:18):
I wonder what you're do in that situation if you're
the bartender, because it's not like you can leave your job.
Speaker 6 (04:23):
I would have said something, But.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
What do you say to him he's sitting there, I
would say no.
Speaker 6 (04:27):
If he keeps talking to me or like hitting on me,
I would say, sir, you're making me feel uncomfortable.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
You can't. You'd be a horrible bartender. Then I would
I guess, you know, and no offense.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
But you would never Probably they would probably say something,
that's one guy.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Here's what I'd be nervous about in that situation. He
knows where your work, and he knows you probably well,
you could figure out what time the place closes, and
then he's waiting for you when you walk out to
your day long I do. I watch it every days
and every day three thousand episodes.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
I know him all three thousand episodes.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I think what you have to do is if you're
teamed up like that, like where there's multiple bartenders, she
said there was one, a few that.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Were there were I think there were three girls.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
I think what you do is you send one of
the other girls over to that side and you switch
sides to the bar. But I think that most cases,
I think that bartenders probably just play the game because
they don't.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
She was not playing the game, like.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
If you if Anna did what she said that she
would do. That would be like the you remember that
restaurant edded Bevics at all that was remembered Bevics at All.
Ed Bevics was a restaurant where they basically mean to you,
Anna would work perfectly at one of those places.
Speaker 6 (05:33):
This is one customer like, I don't need your tip.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
I think, But I think if the guy was who
Shannon said he was, like, was he that?
Speaker 5 (05:41):
Was he that? I mean?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
You know you said he thought he thought he was creepy?
But was he verbally like abusive? If he's verbally abusive.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
He was not verbally abusing. And to be honest, I
couldn't hear a lot of the conversation because again he
was across. But the way that he.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
Like his drink and was just sitting there looking wanted.
Being a woman is hard. It's hard to be beautiful.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
As someone who used to I still do, but own
their own business. I did social media consulting. This was
constantly an issue with me where guys would always like
act like they wanted me to do work with them,
but really they just wanted to take me out to dinner.
I've had clients that refuse to pay me unless it
was in person, like, no, we have to go out
to dinner and I have to give you this check.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
I can't mail it right. That's just so, that is
so uncomfortable. So would you then not do their work anymore?
Or would you continue?
Speaker 6 (06:31):
Someone still owes me fifteen hundred dollars collect done?
Speaker 5 (06:36):
Why don't you do this? Then? Why don't you have
me go collective form? Please? Please do No, it's what
you do. You say, yeah, I'll meet you at this.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Point, and then you say mojoe kind of you say,
say the guys say listen, I'll meet you wherever you
tell me where to go, and I'll walk in there
and I'll go. You know, I'll look find out what
the guys who looks like I walk over and go, Hi,
I am the Anna Rob Collection Agency.
Speaker 6 (06:57):
I would love that because for you that I know,
and they make me your grandpa will go when are
you available for dinner? So I can give this to you.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
I think that if I here's the thing, I know
a bunch of people that are bartenders, a bunch of
bunch of people that in over the years, my sister
Tracy was a bartender, and my sister Tracy would have
guys all the time that would come up to the
bar every.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Single day, regular hours.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
For hours, and she would listen to their stories and
hear their stuff, and after a while they become where
they feel like you're part of their family. Obviously, you
have to be careful of the people that are going
to cross the line and be crazy, But a lot
of times these people just will sit there and that's there.
That's their only interaction that they have with anybody.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
You know's the show that I had to stop watching
on Netflix because.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Thank you? Yes, wait what baby Reindeer? That was a female?
That was a female who was a crazy one.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah, see, it does happen. There are women that are
that way. Don't always think that us guys are dirty, creepy.
We most of the time.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Shoke out finished it.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Yeah, uh look at this one here call this text.
I'm a bartender. Men are gross? Why is it all
men have to be gross? I want to know what
men are not gross? This guy is gross, and maybe
the guy you encountered is grossly one or two experiences.
I mean, Kevin and I aren't gross, are we?
Speaker 7 (08:23):
I mean I'm not gonna sit at a bar and
like I'm knowing somebody not interested and I'm moving on.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
If you were single, if you were saying, well, you
are single, I was gonna say, if you're if like
to me, if I was single, if God forbid, Chelsea
and I weren't together and I was single person, I
don't know if I'm going to be hanging at the
Royal Park Hotel bar.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
You whispered it on the air. You could hear it
on the air. You said Royal Bar, royal for sure. Yeah, Like,
I'm not gonna hang out at.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
The Royal Park Bar, Mary lovely bar with good food
by the way.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
And fine waitresses.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
I'm gonna be hanging out, gonna be hanging out with
what's the strip club down the street in America? Legends, Legends.
I'm gonna be hanging out of Legends, Skinny and Tamraw.
It's up Tamra, so I hear, hi, how are you good?
Tamra is the one who texts that she's a bartender
and men are gross. What's the grossest thing that a guy,
a male customer's ever done.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
They told me they wanted to toss my salad. They
wanted to toss her to salad.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Hey now, and they weren't saying that, Caesar, Huh.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
No, we don't have those ones there.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
No, So what do you do then?
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yeah? Do you kick them out?
Speaker 4 (09:37):
What do you do?
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Well?
Speaker 8 (09:38):
Luckily it was a regular, so I just kind of
go with the flow. But I've had to ask people
to leave because of being inappropriate and some girls can't
handle it.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Wow, you shouldn't. You shouldn't have to handle What kind
of a place was this?
Speaker 6 (09:54):
What? What?
Speaker 5 (09:54):
What place was this?
Speaker 8 (09:56):
It's a sports theatery, It's it's a nice little bar restaurant.
I mean, I worked at I Hop for eleven years
and that was horrible, and then going from something like
that where I'm at now.
Speaker 9 (10:05):
I'd much rather work where I'm at.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
You'd rather be around I Hop.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Like I was gonna say, the last thing in the
world I want is some kids screaming at me and
you know, dealing with snot nose kids and stuff.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
I'd rather be probably at the bar than that too.
Speaker 8 (10:23):
Can be a little uncomfortable sometimes, but laugh at them
and keep pushing through it.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
I guess somebody was telling me and you'll have to
say that. Tell me if this is the case, if
you're a bud tender, I heard that guys will go
or girls sometimes too. We'll go to the dispensaries and
we'll be there all day flirting with you and stuff like.
I heard that that because you know, not everybody drinks,
but they will go to the dispensaries and just sit
(10:51):
there and flirt with the girls because the dispensaries got
hot girls all the time.
Speaker 6 (10:55):
Very friendly too.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
Yeah, exactly what's up, Derek Good? What's going on about?
My wife used to work.
Speaker 10 (11:02):
My wife just to work at bern Kane and people
used to drive to the drive through and offer weed
to like get her in the car.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
What the hell are you doing? He's working on the
line somewhere.
Speaker 9 (11:13):
I know.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
I'm at work in warehouse. Okay, so you delivered tortillas.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Wait a second, so people, you delivered tortillas for a living,
or you're talking about your wife with TORTIASA I.
Speaker 10 (11:23):
Delivered tortillas for a living. But my wife worked at
Burger King and she worked at drive through. People would
offer weed for her phone number and they would just
give it to her. And then one time she was
blocked out of the car and some guys walking hey baby,
So it was like lot my cheese in the car
and I was there trying to get it in get
or get into the car.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
Yeah, and this guy he.
Speaker 10 (11:43):
Goes, I don't do this especially, but he opened the
door in like five seconds. Wow, and hand his number
was interesting.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Did you just stop and take a deep breath. You're
worrying me?
Speaker 5 (11:53):
He's running hard? Can I tell you that?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
It's funny you talk about the drive through the the
Starbucks that go to every single morning. Every time I
go in there, very very attractive girl. She always hey, sweetie,
how are you doing?
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Honey?
Speaker 1 (12:07):
She's always like that, and she's like in her twenties.
And I'm thinking to myself, there is definitely a guys
that come through there and you call him sweety and honey,
and they're probably sitting there all.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Day, laptop in there.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Yeah, what's up?
Speaker 1 (12:20):
James is a bartender who wants to say that men
are not the dirty ones, right, James.
Speaker 9 (12:26):
Man, that's right?
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Oh, first time, long time.
Speaker 9 (12:29):
James.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Man.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
I was working at the bar this past weekend. It
was crazy. I'm talking. It was all girls.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
They was all dressed in orange.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
And I don't know if I'm attractive or what, but
it was just crazy.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
So the girl do the girl say dirty things to
the guide bartenders like the guys that sit there and
get all kind of creepy at the other bars.
Speaker 5 (12:54):
All the time. Maybe it's just where I work all
the time. I think a lot of it. They're trying
to get free drinks. We gotta watch out for these women. Man,
So they're flirting with you. Watch out? Uh, you trying
to give free drinks? Do you give them free drinks? Sometimes?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
You do?
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Oh James, hold on, Alison, are you there?
Speaker 9 (13:18):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (13:18):
Yeah, what's up? Allison?
Speaker 2 (13:20):
On the comment I called a comment about the being
a buttender. Oh, man, I got so so and I
got tipped the lower when.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
I was a budtender. Really so the guys coming in
to flirt with you all.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
The time, Yes, And if you want to flirt, we're
gonna we're gonna upseill you come in for a let's
get this own.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
This is uh the owner of that particular locations dream
come true, Allison the bud tender.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Oh they love me, They loved me.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
My favorite is have you ever seen in this happened?
I remember one time at a bar in Atlanta. I
was there visiting normal old and we were sitting at
the bar and This woman was very attractive and some
guy was doing this flirting. She made him buy everybody
in the bar drink. It was the first time that
I had ever tasted Louis. Have you ever tried Louis before?
(14:14):
It's like literally like one hundreds of dollars.
Speaker 5 (14:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Yeah, this guy bought for for everybody they're sitting at
the bar because she was did exactly what you did,
the bud tender up selling the whole deal. She probably
had a crazy tip that night. What's going on, Sydney,
not the one he wanted to give them. What's going on?
We apologize for Kevin some portions of this moto on
the morning show or not?
Speaker 5 (14:37):
Go ahead?
Speaker 9 (14:38):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (14:39):
So I have a story on both ends. I've had
a customer asked to pay for my underwear that I
was wearing.
Speaker 5 (14:48):
Oh my god, and wait, just like that collar? How much?
And did you no?
Speaker 9 (14:54):
And I didn't.
Speaker 5 (14:55):
Even ask, Okay, were they nice underwear? Were they?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Yes? They were? Because I was gonna say, if you
had your ugly underwear on that night, I would have
sold it in a second.
Speaker 9 (15:04):
Oh yeah, I should have now that I'm thinking about it.
Speaker 8 (15:08):
So but also on the other end, I've had a.
Speaker 9 (15:10):
Customer I work at a place in Birmingham, not gonna
stay where, but got mad at me and literally forced it,
like pushed his finger into my forehead, screamed at me,
yelled at me, got kicked out of the restaurant and
sat outside and waited for me.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
Oh jee, oh yeah we did.
Speaker 9 (15:31):
And then on top of this, because he made a
very nasty review about me, and so, being the girl
that I am, I looked him up and I found
out that he worked under my aunt and I'm pretty
sure he got in trouble at wore her.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Oh God, for your aunt.
Speaker 9 (15:50):
I know.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
And I'm not gonna say which one, but one of
the big.
Speaker 9 (15:53):
Threes and she works in HR and I he got
in big trouble.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
Wow. Well, thank you. Glad you're safe, Sydney, And I'm
glad you have your underwhear not with my daughter.
Speaker 9 (16:04):
She always wants me to call you guys, and she's
with me.
Speaker 5 (16:06):
But tell her we said, hi, what's her name?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Podcast August.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Yeah, I've called in with her before, I think I remember.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Yeah, she always wants me to call I try to
catch you guys on Friday.
Speaker 9 (16:21):
She always thinks that this is the mojo, the mojo
in the morning.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
I love.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Yes, and and Mom kept her under her Amanda, what's up, Amanda?
Speaker 8 (16:35):
Hey, I don't know if I can really say this,
but I had a first of all, first time mom,
and then I was actually your bartender for IOI a
couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
What's yeah, Irish and Irish? Oh okay, we didn't ask
you to buy your underwear, did we?
Speaker 8 (16:57):
No?
Speaker 1 (16:57):
No?
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Okay? Goodness making sure.
Speaker 9 (17:00):
So I had a customer and he he said that
he wanted to eat my cookie while I was.
Speaker 8 (17:08):
On my leader.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
Oh my god, that's just like that second date update.
This is a customer that he doesn't know. Wow, that's crazy.
Speaker 10 (17:18):
Yeah, he kicked him out.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
Yeah, I gotta go.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
Do you tell the bouncer and the bouncer kicks him
out or how does that work?
Speaker 8 (17:26):
I just went and told my manager at that my.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Manager, what I would do is make an announcement to
the entire bar and watch everybody to beat the crap
out of him.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
All right, we'll see you this year. Okay, Yes, I'm ready.
All right, we'll talk to you later. Amanda,
