Speaker 1 (00:00):
I got something I want to bring up at this time.
We're going to title this the party is over. So
I read this and it was how do you end
a party that you're hosting? And this is perfect because
a lot of people will be hosting parties over the holidays.
It said, when you're ready for the party to be over,
nicely tell everyone to leave. Say this has been so fun,

(00:23):
but as it's approaching my bedtime, it's time for everybody
to get up and go.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh my god, somebody would do this.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Most people will actually be relieved by this and be
ready to make their exit. The party never ends. Crowd
will actually know that it's time for them to go.
By the way, the party never ends crowd. I know
who those people are. I just won't call them out
because Chelsea would get mad at me if I call
out these people. And those people that we're looking for
an opportunity to go will look relieved when they know

(00:51):
that everybody is getting up and going. I have never
in my life done this, And this is interesting because
with having family and friends over with the holiday and stuff,
I've never been the guy going, well, it's been great, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
You know, my family and friends will all tell you,
I start to fall asleep, like truly, my eye, my
my body does not. I can't rally or stay awake.
If my body wants to sleep, I go to sleep.
So they know when they start to see this look
in my face that somebody makes the announcement that chan't
it's look at you. Everybody look at chant because I
I'm like.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah, I see, I'm the same one. I fall asleep too,
because it's the job that we do. But I will
say this, I always feel like if you're that like
the interesting ones that are at the party, because I've
been this at other people's houses, and if you get
up and go, you sometimes can party kill you can
crash a party because all of a sudden, if I
see at Chelsea, all right, Chelse, we're not going to

(01:48):
do an Irish goodbye. We're just gonna say goodbye everybody
and leave, I feel bad.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Because everybody follows. People start following.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, but I want to know how does a party
usually end at your house? And is there anyone that
actually calls out the time, like, all right, guys, it's
time for you to go. My aunt will start like
offering leftovers.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
She'll be like we got some extra months to go
home with it, and I'm like, all right, it's time.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Because it's nice and telling. Yeah, I'm an overstayer.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
I'm telling you, I know, my homie Jju listening, it
had been hell of time's bro where I just don't
know when to leave.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I'm having too much fun.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
And it's been sounds where his wife tressa where I know,
like she didn't gave him the look and then he
had to ask me to leave because like she'd be
ready for me to go.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
You know why you're an overstare because you're a late
shower up. You never show up on time. Kevin is
always gone. And I'm telling you, you know, I've heard,
I've heard I saw up at the right time. I
might not be on time, but it's the right time.
When you show off, the party definitely starts. I will
say that, but the right time. What's going on, Samantha,

(02:49):
good morning? Hey, what's happening?

Speaker 6 (02:52):
If we have to get together, I will literally just
stand up and be like, all right, you don't have
to go home, but you can't stay here.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
So you do make that announcement.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
And is that with even your closest friends or what
do you do, like any type of party.

Speaker 6 (03:09):
We usually have monthly game nights. But that even means
my son's got to go home, like my daughter's got
to go to bed, Like that's it, that's we shut
it down.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, it's you know what. I kind of like it.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
It actually is nice, but it could come across a
little rude if you're all of a sudden going all right,
everybody's got to go, Uh, Helena, what's up?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Helena?

Speaker 7 (03:31):
Ah?

Speaker 8 (03:32):
So what I was, I'll openly take him all the
tone in front of everyone, changing my pajamas.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I'm on the couch, play on my phone and not
talk to anyone.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
And whoa, that's wild, But that's bold that you're just,
you know, in your pajamas. I think that's the thing
that I've wanted to do so many times, is put
my pajamas on.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
But I feel so rude going in.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Doing it, you know, where all of a sudden they're like,
Worre's time and he comes out and I'm here, I
am in my pajamas.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Started doing Like when we get together at each other's houses,
you have to come and comfies. I like, which is
the best because then everybody's comfortable and you tend to
want to stay like hang out a little bit longer
that you're not like dressed up and uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
You know.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Then the never leavers now are staying overnight. Mary. What's up? Mary?

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Hi, it's Mary.

Speaker 8 (04:20):
First time, long time.

Speaker 9 (04:26):
I always I have a party weekend before Super Bowl.
They it's the weekend that nobody has.

Speaker 8 (04:32):
Anything going on.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
So that's my holiday party.

Speaker 9 (04:35):
That's my one year party.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
But in the past I.

Speaker 9 (04:38):
Started having it at seven o'clock. I'm sixty five and
we party early at my age. Yes, anyway, I changed
the party time to three o'clock in the afternoon. But
now with my friends from work, they were coming at
like eleventh twelve.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
One o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 8 (04:54):
Oh, we were done.

Speaker 9 (04:55):
So now all my party invitations say seven pm to
eleven o three.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
People don't show up.

Speaker 8 (05:07):
If you know me, Mary, I worked at Bryan.

Speaker 9 (05:12):
An exact time I saw.

Speaker 8 (05:14):
I'm always uh you know exactly.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I like that she puts the times on there, but
the times aren't even times.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yeah, yeah, that's random. That's interesting.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
What's happening, Megan? How are you?

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Good morning?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Good morning Megan. What does your dad do.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
So we used to throw crazy, wild Christmas parties, and
a couple of years in a row, my dad was
notorious for just going upstairs and going to bed while
the party was going on, and then someoneould be like,
where's Jeff, where's Jeff, and then they know he went
so then people would like slowly start dipping out because
it was just kind of awkward at that point.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
That's great, like dad, Dad's up in his room watching TV.
You know what you should do next time that happens
and people are wondering where Jeff is. You should have
everybody go up in bed with Jeff.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Over Jeff. That would be awesome.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Hold on, initial A wants to talk about their mother
in law, but voice disguised.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
What's going on?

Speaker 7 (06:18):
Hello? So he only stays so late?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Do me a favorite.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Take us off bluetooth and talk into your phone because
the Bluetooth doesn't.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Work well with voices. Guys, is this better? That's much better? Yeah?
Go ahead.

Speaker 7 (06:35):
So for example, folloween night, she stayed over even though
I got up and started vacuuming, I mopped the floors,
I even put the kids to bed. My husband was
taking out the trash, and she was still sitting there
and did not live.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Is she trying to talk to you or is she
just chilling by herself?

Speaker 7 (06:56):
She's just watching us clean.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
You know what, it's even healthy. It's funny.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
The idea that you're starting to clean, pick up and
throw the trash out and she's still there. That's where
you just say to her, lock the door when you leave,
you know, turn the lights off on her.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
And this is your mother in law. You don't want
to offend her, right.

Speaker 7 (07:17):
No, And if this is right, I don't want to.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
I'm calling You.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Got to make your husband be the one to kick
his mom out, say I'm sorry, mom.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Yeah, he's a little he's a little of that. Huh,
he's a little Heather, what's going on, Heather?

Speaker 8 (07:37):
No, Hi, morning guys, Good morning morning. I have a
friend that when they're inviting you over, she will give
you a specific duration of time. She will say, do
you want to come over for two hours? Do you
want to come over for three hours? So if you
show up at six, when that clock strikes seven to
fifty five, you know that it's your time to go.
And it's almost a race to see, like who will

(07:59):
starting up first? Like like okay, well, I know I
have to leave the eight, so let me start standing up.
And sometimes she'll beat you and say, all right, well
this has not really fun, and it's great to start
to leave first.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
I've done that only once, and that was when our
volo was invited over to my house. I had to
give him my heart out. But that's great. That is
an awesome idea. Hold on, initial b what's up?

Speaker 9 (08:20):
Hey?

Speaker 7 (08:21):
Good morning?

Speaker 2 (08:21):
So your voice disguis.

Speaker 7 (08:24):
My I'm just I'm voice susguised because I know she's listening.
We were invited over. She invited us over for New
Year's Youth, and she started packing up everyone's stuff at
eleven forty five. And I'm not kidding when I say
at twelve oh two we were in our car.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
So that's it. There's Ryan. You didn't even finish holding Zinne.
You guys are already in the car right right exactly.
That's funny. I like that you say she's listening right
now as she knows who're Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I like Jay's way of doing it. Let's end on this, Jay,
how do you end a party?

Speaker 8 (09:06):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (09:06):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Guys?

Speaker 7 (09:07):
I've done this since college.

Speaker 9 (09:09):
If people won't leave, I'll call a noise complaint to
the police department.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
It's never failed, nobody's ever gone to jail. It's always
been very kind. I'm sorry. We gotta wrap this one up.
