Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Emojoe in the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I'm thinking that a kid's not listening at this time
unless you have a kid in your car, And if
you do, I'm going to forewarn you that what we
will talk about here, especially if they're a little kid,
could break the magic that they love. So just fore
warning on that. What's happened in Shannon sche in the morning.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
So my niece, my five year old niece, just lost
her very first tooth, which is like, oh, bigacation in
that household, right. So last night, while I was tucking
my son Smith into bed, I said to him, how
crazy is it that the tooth Fairy is going to
come and visit Stella tonight? And he's eight, he's in
second grade. And he looked at me with the most

(00:39):
serious face and an air quote. He goes, mom, the
tooth fairy. And I was kind of taken aback, and
I tried to play dumb and I was like, well, yeah,
like the toothairy is going to leave her money and
take her tooth into the dad and he goes, mom,
I did an experiment last year. I lost a tooth
and I didn't tell Dad, and I put it under

(01:01):
my pillow and nothing happened is staying there in the
morning and there was no money, and I was like,
that is broll yet, yes, but also he's very aware
because he did his own experiment to find out the truth.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
That makes me sad.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Why because it makes me so sad that the magic
is done and because he's still young. They got YouTube, man,
And it also makes me sad that that he would
He must have known that something was up for him
to do that experiment, because you don't do that experiment.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
You know. Uh, he has YouTube. It's so accessible.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Were you Sadd's house not yours?

Speaker 3 (01:48):
He kept kicking it. He was like, and you know,
and then he was like and the elf. He's like,
I found a ziploc bag full of elves and Dad's closet.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
I was like, I'm going to pick up the phone
call your dad. It's something about dad. Something's going on.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
But it does like kind of sort of kills me
because I'm still holding out hope that the big secret
I at least get this last year. But I'm thinking,
if he's already aware of everything else.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I hope, how would he believe in that big secret
but not believe in any of the other secrets you
know I am just now he's playing you for gifts.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
So when I found out about the tooth Fairy specifically,
my mom tried to play it off because then I
went into the you know, the other stuff, and she
was like, well, Santa has helpers. Oh yeah, he just
he can't reach all the houses, so I get the
gifts from him, and then you know he has helpers.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Anna, how many do you have siblings at all? Yes?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I have an older sister.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
All right, So so Anna, you have an older sister
and your older sisters how much older than you?

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Five years older than me?

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Did she try to bust it for you so that
you or did she hold on to it knowing that
she would.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
I was a mischievous child. So I was listening and
spying on my parents one year and I heard them
talking about it. My birthday was running around Christmas, and
I remember like sitting up on the stairs listening down
to try and see what they were doing for my birthday,
and then Christmas got brought up and I was like, uh, oh,
you see.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's funny because I always feel like the kids who
ruin it are the kids that.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Turn out to be the burnouts later, and.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Like like the like the kids, the kids that ruin
who you know the magic is are the kids that
later in life You're like, are they going to alternative school?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Now? You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Like that's like one of the I said what I
said to my husband, I'm like, this makes me so sad.
I thought I had more time, and he was like, Shannon,
this is very age appropriate, and I was like, I
think I was in sixth grade.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
My younger sister age years old.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Second, I knew till middle school.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
That's what I said. I had to tell me. And
Wes was like, you're you were dumb.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Wanted to if we lived in a time when we didn't,
you know, have people that ruined it for us?

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Well, I mean, like, I think technology has to be,
if not the leader right now, I'm ruining the.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Magic has got to be a class.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Second, ask chat GPT about Santa Claus It, We'll come back.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
What's up Courtney High, Hi.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
Good morning. My daughter did the same thing at Smith
did and did not tell us that she lost the tooth,
and then it was a whole thing, and so we
left the note, we left money, but then she kept
writing notes back to the tooth theory. So then we
had to like keep that going for a while. But
I'm like, when do I.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Say, like, okay, the two series like has.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
Other things going on in life? Yeah, And it was
a whole it was a whole mess. And then she
found our elf on the shelf stuff. I had to
lie about that, and it just it reminds you of
a parent, just how much you truly have to lie
to your kids to get through life.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
It really is sad. It's sad. As a dad.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
If I were Smith's dad, I would have felt bad
that that happened, you know, with me, But I I
could see where that would happen more with dads than happen,
you know, with moms.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
For the record, shat Shept gives one answer and then
it says, would you like me to answer this in
a more kid for me?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
That's how it should be. That should be what's up, Heather,
how you doing?

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (05:20):
So, like the Big Secret, how I ran into this one?
And I have four children and my youngest one, the
older three found out about the same time, and the
youngest one it was still kind of a thing and
they were like, it's not real, and I'm luck it is.
And the way I got around it is. It's the
big secret is in all of us.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Amen.

Speaker 7 (05:43):
Yea, yes, Yet I love that, I said, I like
I I even told them, I said, if you start now,
even though like I said, it's a spirit, it's a feeling,
it's everything. Yeah, I said, if you start now, you
can keep that that big secret going for the rest
of your life. And like they did, they never wreckt
it for the younger siblings. It's just like this great, big,

(06:06):
amazing gift that everybody has.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
That that is a beautiful way to put it.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I appreciate you calling and saying that. That's a great
way to put it. Uh, I mean, what's up? It's
not on the morning, Hey, good morning.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
I just keep picturing Smith acting bad for an entire year,
just to see the big man is reel.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
You can keep witching for what that what does he do?

Speaker 7 (06:27):
No?

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I keep it.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
I keep envisioning like Smith, like testing the seat, just
being bad for an entire year to see.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah, Smith would be great asking for something like so
over the top, you.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Know, see what happens? What's up? Kevin?

Speaker 7 (06:41):

Speaker 1 (06:43):

it's always a good day with my kids, and so
I when they were excited to go to bed. You know,
we go to church and may go to breakfast, and
I'm excited to be to be Santa. My boys are
twelve and thirteen, and so they go to bed kind
of early, and I kind of got my mind right
and uh me in a little bit of the sweet
leaf and and they'll put out gifts and I'm having
enjoying it. Like I sit down my massage here and

(07:27):
then I fall asleep. And then like two in the morning,
my kids bust into my bedroom like jet sposed to
creep through out here.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I'm like, what do you mean? He spells the.

Speaker 8 (07:34):
Grief through out there? Santa Claus comes. It's like they're like,
Kenny came. And so I go out there and I'm like,
oh my god, you came.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
I missed him.

Speaker 8 (07:40):
And the cookies are eating and spells the griefer and
the kids are like, so, who's smoking reefer? I said,
Santa Claus, I wouldn't refer and and I'm sitting this
massage here. And then so a few months ago, my
son saying something to me about not leaving Santa Claus.
I'm like, wait a minute, So who explained who's smoking
all the reaper?

Speaker 7 (07:59):
Then?

Speaker 8 (07:59):
And he like, I know you might like to smoke
a little reefer it every now and then that you're
okay with that.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
That is, by the way, that is not refer that
is missiletoe. And by the way, as far as Smith
is concerned, you want to get Smith to believe again,
show him this video.
