Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Mojo in the morning. It got back from going
to a wedding this weekend. I was telling you how
we went to the wedding of Jed's brother, Luke Jed
from the Joe Show. We had such a great time.
The wedding was down in Florida, so we ended up
picking up Joe and his fiancee Alyssa, and we drove.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
We had to drive.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
It took an hour and like twenty five minutes or
an hour and thirty minutes to just go like thirty
miles because it's like it's like La traffic because you're
going over this big skybridge from Tampa into Bradington Beach,
which is gorgeous. If you've never been down in that
area before, it is so nice. He got married on
a beach Luke and Kayla. Kayla is also local too.
(00:42):
Her family's from Toledo, so they listened to us. I'm
kiss And it was a fun wedding. It was a nice,
quaint wedding because they had just like kind of family
and stuff there. Jed's family, Jed Senior, his brother owned
the play center that's up in Flint Saginaw area. There,
(01:02):
everybody kind of knows it. It's like the place that
everybody would go to, you know, you'd go to for
all your family fun. And he sold it and then
retired and went down to Florida. So I'm hanging at
the bar and this is prior to the wedding starting,
and the way that it was set up was it
was at this restaurant called the Beach something or another.
I don't even know what it was. Everything down there
(01:22):
is beach Beach, are saying Sandy Beach something Rightever, Like,
you know how hard it must be to find phone
numbers to places because you go Google and it's like
it's got beach in it and it's got sand in it,
and that's pretty much where you're going. So I'm sitting
at the bar and I'm having some drinks. I'm talking
to some people, and these people at the end of
the bar are all wearing Lions shirts.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
So I'm like, man, you know, usually you don't see
a lot of Lions fans up in this area. You
see a lot or Detroit people. You see them usually
down towards Naples or Fort Myers or Marco Island. And
so I'm like, hey, you guys are here for the wedding.
And they're definitely not dressed for a wedding. They got
all this lions gear on and they kind of look
like they're honestly like a little, uh, I don't know,
(02:02):
a little dirty or something.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
They got dirt and fingernails and everything. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
I'm like, they really didn't get showered up for this wedding.
And they're like, no, what wedding are you talking about?
And I said, a Shilling wedding and they're like, And
this is just shows you how small the world is
and how everybody knows you're from Detroit. If you see
somebody with a Michigan hat on a block m where
you see somebody with a Detroit Lions or a Tiger's
hat on, you can go up to them and just
start talking to him.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Next thing you know, they know, boom boom boom. Everything
you know similar you know certain people.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
So I said, hey, uh no, we're here for a wedding.
Luke Shilling's getting married. I don't know why I say
it like that, it's just hey, Luke Shilling. And they
go does his uncle owned the Family Fund Center in Saginaw, WOA.
And I go, as a matter of fact. And then
I said, and it as a matter of fact, You're
(02:51):
not going to believe this. He is right in that
room over there, and there's like a private room area where.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
They have a wedding. Yeah, and I said, this is
somo Joe.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
I said, come on with me, guys, Joe. So I
grabbed them, not the dirty lion, I mean the flip
this guy. This guy had Josh in his feet and
it was crazy. And we go walking over to the
wedding and Chelsea's eyes go like she sees me walk
through the door and her eyes lit up, like what
(03:22):
are you doing? You know, you're like bringing people.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
And I'm like holding these guys, going hey, guys, come on,
hold on real quick, hold on. And I walk over
to this Shillings table, the head table there, and and
Pa and Papa and Nancy are there, Jed's dad and mom,
and I go, I go, Nancy, where's Jeds?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Where's Papa's brother?
Speaker 1 (03:43):
At that that has the Family Fund center and she
has this look on her face like there are two
homeless people that And Chelsea's like, I'm sorry, Nancy, I'm sorry,
like she's like apologizing.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
And these guys, these guys partied at the you know,
the place that the Shillings played, and so they're going
through the whole deal, and I realized, I'm like, oh,
I probably shouldn't be doing this. Probably the fact, So
I started realizing at that moment there that the show's wedding,
(04:16):
which will be like in a year, is going to
be very interesting and I'm not allowed to leave.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Otherwise You're going to see random people. But if you
ever has anybody ever.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Like randomly got walked, just walked, not even I'm not
even talking wedding crash, they just kind of like randomly
bring like somebody to a wedding or the or an
uninvited guest came to like a party or anything like that.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
Like it's so that was it's it is funny that
you're bringing this up because it happened in and you
just mentioned Marco Island.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
A couple of years ago.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
I went down to Marco Island with some girlfriends and
there was a girl, good morning Ashley, I know you
listen every day, who.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Is from here and was getting married there, and.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
So all of her guests were like, well, you need
to you guys are here, you need to come to
Ashley's wedding, and so we ended up showing up at
the wedding reception on the beach and we were definitely
not on the in white list for this wedding, but
we were there and it was so fun.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
But you know what's funny is a beach wedding, which
this was. Everybody feels like they want to come, including
I'm at the wedding. At the ceremony is gorgeous. I mean,
first off, Kayla is a beautiful bride and Luke is
such a handsome guy. Guy played baseball for the Chicago
White Sox in order name prep grad. I'm looking at
them do their vows, and the sun is like blaring.
(05:29):
I look over the side and there is a guy
in a banana hammock sitting there with a freaking boner.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Like staring at him, going, I hope the wedding photographer
has that.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Did your guests stay or did they sort of just
stay high?
Speaker 1 (05:45):
And so this was the wildest part. I say introduce them.
They start talking and Chelsea acts like the secret Service, Okay,
we're on okay, you know She's like, uh, you don't
mess with her, man, It don't make a difference. You know,
Chelsea's just recovering and stuff like that. She's like a
bad bitch still, she's like not not allowing it.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
So but that's a good That's a really interesting thing
because I stayed away from Nancy and Papa the rest
of the time.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
What's up, Alli? How you doing?
Speaker 6 (06:14):
Hi?
Speaker 7 (06:15):
First time? Long time?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Hey Moat, thanks for calling.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Ali.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
My mom has a condo down in Florida. I went
down there for last Thanksgiving and we met so many
people from Michigan down there at this exact resort that
knew exactly where we were in Michigan and we knew
where they were.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
It was crazy.
Speaker 7 (06:37):
Yeah, we met so many people from like our specific playing.
The girls that were sitting next to us, we like
saw later at the pool and we're like, oh.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Hey, isn't it funny when you're going on vacation and
you are on a flight with people that are also
excited to get into warm weather, you'll like do this
stupidest stuff. You would never invite them to your what
town do you live in?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Here?
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Like if you were staying at the if you were
at the McDonald's in fen and you wouldn't say, hey,
Susie want to.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Come over to my house.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
But you go down to a place like Florida, you're like, hey,
hang out with us at the pool, and it's like okay.
Speaker 7 (07:13):
But we were all talking about her, like.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
The hotel we do.
Speaker 7 (07:17):
Why we came down to Florida.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Yeah, that's all hot It is crazy. And did you
guys take the same flight back then and to Andy
your vacation.
Speaker 7 (07:27):
No, they had to come back earlier than we did,
but yeah, we saw the whole family.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
We sat by a couple of people on the plane
on the way there and on the way back. They
did the same exact amount of time. A little quick weekend.
What's up, Amanda, how you doing?
Speaker 8 (07:42):
Good morning, Mojo. You sound like my brother who invites
people to other people's gatherings. One time, he one time
invited me up to his mom's camp. So I made
it sound like she knew I was coming, and when
I said yes, he turns around calls her and makes
it sound like I invited myself.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Wait, he turned it on you, and I'm like, that's
not what this is. What happened?
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Do you tell the truth and have to like show
the text messages just to prove No.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
I just went and she loves to see me. She's like,
quarter mom, Oh.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
That's that's wonderful. I like that. That's funny. I always
believe this. I don't have like a place up north,
but a lot of friends do. But I always believe
places up north are men for everybody. Like it's almost
kind of like an open invite whenever somebody has like, like,
I know now that Anna's on our show, I'm gonna
be hanging at the rob residence up north. Absolutely just wait,
(08:32):
pop up, Pops and I are going to have conversation.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna be like.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
And it's gonna see and it's gonna like get pictures
from the weekend of her family, and it's gonna be
me sitting there at a chair kind of enjoying myself
around the fire pit.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Chelsea goes.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I said to Chelsea, I go, hey, I'm gonna tell
Lydia to call Nancy Jed's mom and get around the
radio shows. Do not call Nancy. She just texts me
and goes, please do not call Nancy because of poor Nancy.
Nancy was so sweet about everything too. I wish you
had got a picture with the Dirty Lions fan.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
I should have. They're probably back in town if you
met me, and because we're going to talk about how
dirty you are, you know what's up ry?
Speaker 8 (09:19):
Hey?
Speaker 9 (09:19):
I got married down in Saint Thomas on the beach
and we had a photographer. They're taking all of our pictures,
so we didn't know anything that was going on. We're
looking through our proofs and one of the pictures there's
a naked boy running across the bay.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
That's hilarious. Just got done buildings, Yeah.
Speaker 9 (09:39):
I think that was about our best picture.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Building sand castles there with his family. What's up, Jackie?
How you doing? Oh god, this is crazy? Thank god.
This didn't happen at the wedding. What happened at this
wedding that you were at?
Speaker 6 (09:56):
So is my personal wedding.
Speaker 10 (09:58):
We got married in Saint Anthony, Troy, and at the
end I walked down the aisle in one of my
grooms and then took this what was happening during our
ceremony And apparently.
Speaker 6 (10:10):
My sister in law was like, had my little nephew
in the wedding. He was like three, so he was
very like moving around. So she took him to the
back of the church by the ceremony was going on,
and she looks over and she sees this bum sitting there,
but his pants are down at his waist and he's
just going to town on himself.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
A homeless guy came into the church and actually was
pleasuring himself.
Speaker 10 (10:38):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (10:39):
Oh, my sister in law walks over to my brother,
who is also in the wedding, was like, oh my god,
this is happening. So she walks over my brother and
she tells him, and my brother is like, I like
my sister could be a little bit like you feel that.
She's like, no way, this ain't happening. So he's like,
but I can't let this be happening if my sister's
up at the altar getting married. So he gets that
(11:00):
boat back there and he's like, oh my god, yes
this is happening. So we had a couple of big
guys at the wedding that were like bouncers. So he
and one was a cop and one was a bouncer.
So he was just like, we walked. He walked over
to them.
Speaker 10 (11:14):
He's like, I got I.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Need you in the back.
Speaker 6 (11:17):
We got to do something very quietly. The three of
them went over there, picked them up and threw them
out the front door.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
I feel bad.
Speaker 10 (11:26):
And then once I got my once I got my
pictures back, he's in the pictures of all of us.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
Walking down the aisle.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
I always.
Speaker 10 (11:37):
Yeah, craggly hair like thing.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
Obviously he was sitting in a pool, the pew but yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Well, you know what, he was looking for a place
to stay.
Speaker 6 (11:46):
So I don't know he was looking at the female photographers.
Speaker 10 (11:50):
My sister laws said.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Oh, that's what he was looking at. Okay, inspiration. Hey
real quick, do me a favor. Okay, Jackie, and I
love you for calling. And I'm not coming down on
you or anything like this. Take that word out of
your your vocabulary. You just call him a homeless man, okay, yeah,
just because I don't know. I know, I don't nobody.
For some reason, it makes me uncomfortable, you know what
(12:13):
I mean. There's certain words like that, but it was
bum Yeah, I don't know, I just don't uh.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yeah, But and we all learn stuff. I used to
say that all the time.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
I used to say that when I was uh going
for Halloween, I would always go and I realized that
probably was not a great costume to go as as
a little kid.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
You know what, I mean and everybody did. Yeah, not
that that made it okay popular. Yeah, I got a story.
We don't know what brings a person to that.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
And when you have family that all of a sudden,
are you know, faced with that, that that does uh,
that does affect you.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
But
