Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to Shannon. Came back with a tan from Florida.
How are you?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm good little chili, I know, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (00:07):
And sunny and had a cloud in the sky compared
to as soon as you land, You're like, why live?
I mean, I love where we live, but you come
back from a beautiful, warm place in November and it's
a little depressing.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
I was looking at your your posts that you put
up on your social but also then you put a
post up on Mojo on the morning social cupcake Chan
and Mojo in the morning, and I was looking at it, going,
oh my god. When it was sunny on Friday, we
had a great day. It was like sunny, but it
was cold. It was awesome. And then Saturday we had
this like warm temperature, but it felt colder because there

(00:41):
was no sun. And then yesterday we got some peaks
of sun, but you had sun the whole time.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
It was perfect. Woud Yeah, it was perfect. And I
have to tell you if you're worried about traveling, we
had really easy travel. The airport was not busy at all.
No you know, cancelations or delays or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I saw this morning. They say, we're officially back to
normal all the airlines. Actually, there's also another story too.
Did you know that some of the airlines are going
to get dinged by the FA because they never lowered
their flights So they actually said they were going to
but they never did, and now they realize that there
was a lot of shenanigans going on. You went with
a bunch of girls, but something interesting about one particular

(01:20):
person without Yeah, trip.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I went with four of my closest girlfriends, women who
I know through our kids, all being friends with each other,
and we went down to Marco Island, Florida, where one
of my girlfriends her family has a condo. So we
were lucky. We didn't have to pay for a hotel
or anything or an airbnb. It was really nice, and
so I shared a room with my girlfriend Ashley, who

(01:44):
actually she was the purpose of the trip because she
beat breast cancer.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah this year, so eighteen chemo treatments and am astectomy.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
And yeah, she she deserved to be celebrated. So her
and I room together and we you know, snuggled in
a bed. In the first night we were there, were
getting ready for bed and washing my face, brushing my
teeth and she's getting into bed and she I'm noticing
she's pulling something out of her suitcase, and I'm thinking,
what the heck is she doing. She pulls out dump
truck pillowcases and proceeds to put them on the pillows

(02:18):
on her side of the bed, and.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I said, what are you doing?

Speaker 3 (02:22):
And she said, there's a certain kind of fabric pillowcase
that she likes, and that's what she buys at home.
The only extras she had were ones from her boys,
so she grabbed them through them in her suitcase and
she puts them on pillows wherever she goes really hotel, Airbnb,

(02:42):
friends place.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Brings your own pillow case.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
He brings her own pillowcases to put on the pillows.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Are there any people that bring their own? I know
people who.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Do that tells because they think that the hotel stuff
is dirty.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
But she just likes the fabric she likes.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Which I get.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
By the way, I totally understand where she's coming from.
I've just never packed my own pillowcases before.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
That seemed like a cute story at first, when I
was thinking to myself that she was going to miss
her kids.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
No, it had nothing to do with the kids.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Because then I'm thinking to myself, you're on away from
kids trip.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Oh no, I don't even think she thought about her kids.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah, well for three days. Yeah no, you don't want
to be thinking about your kids except for the dumb
tuck truck pillowcase when you're laying your head on the
pillow after a bunch of expresso. Martini's so all right.
So this is Anna brings up a point about people
that I get worried about bed bugs and things like that.
To me, I'm always so funny with going to bed

(03:40):
and I don't. I think everything's clean and I'll just
deal with it later if it's not. We have friend
like Tim Richards. I think you guys have met Tim.
Oh he goes in and he strips everything off. Yeah,
and he puts it all in the corner, and then
he gets all and then he brings his bags in
and once he strips everything off, and I'm like Tim,
if those bad bugs are there, they're hoppen. They're in

(04:01):
the hallway, they're everywhere.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
In they say at hotels, you're supposed to do that.
You're supposed to take off the comforter and the throw
pillows and just push them off. To the side because
they don't clean those after every guess.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Wow, well I guess the sheets.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, but the comforters, no, well they don't.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
It's a blanket. The blanket shiver. So yeah, I think
because no, because it's the big one, right, it's the big,
heavy one that's on top.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Which, by the way, they did a thing on ABC
one time where they had a guy with a black
light and you see sperm. It's sperm or big bugs,
probably sperm.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I could clean myself from sperm. I think you have
the fuma gate from bed bugs. Sperm.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
I can at least it's like out a I don't
have to think about it, out of side, out of mind.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Bed bugs. They're following you home.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
I've slept in sperm before, and I'm fine by that.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I've also stated at a very nice hotel and member got
bedbug bites.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
All over one side of my body.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Listen, I've stayed in a very nice hotel. As a
I'm leaving the hotel at them looking under the bed
to make sure that something of mine, like a soccer
or whatever, didn't fall underneath.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
There.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
There were used condoms underneath the beat. I was like
this is a nice hotel. It's like a four or
five star with Kim. What do you do?

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Good morning everybody, first time caller, long time.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I also bring a satin pillowcase. I'm an African American.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Woman with our here.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
Yeah, we'd like our sat and the pillowcase wants to
keep the ools in our hair.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
So I bring my pillowcase everywhere I go off.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Okay, I like that I sat.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
It's satin like, it's satin like silk. Does it feel
like that we're still here? It's so comfortable. I like
the pillowcases and the pillows that are always cool. They
remain cool, you know, right right? Some one every night
and bring it with me everywhere I go.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
As a single man, you got to have a couple
of those on deck for visitors at your home to
make them feel more comfortable.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
You have women that come to your house and stay
the night. Kevin, this is news. I thought I thought
he was a good Christian boy. There, Cam you like
to play tennis? You like to play tennis? With your remarks,
sometimes I'm a player. What's going on? Hi, Madison? How

(06:18):
you doing Hi?

Speaker 4 (06:20):
I usually when I go to hotels for vacations, I
bring my silk pilowcases because I have acne prone skins,
so I never use anything at the hotel. I always
use my silk pillowcases.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Okay, all right, do you pack that in your luggage
like your carry on luggage, and that's I do.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Sometimes I'll just buy one Amazon and honestly just throw
it away after just because you never know what's at
the hotel. But yeah, I always bring a silk pilowcase
with me everywhere I go.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I wonder if there are people that ever bring their
own betting, like full on betting to a hotel and
put it on a hotel or an airbnb.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
That's a little much for me, But cases different.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
I think you'd have to bring out and then you
have to pack the dirty stuff in your suitcase and
bring it.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yeah, I think so right. Or in her case, she
said that she buys on Amazon, so she might just
leave it there right at medicine.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
Yeah, sometimes I just got like I just throw it away.
They're like twelve dollars on Amazon. It's really cheap.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Chelsea got a bad back, so there's like rarely a
good bed that she can sleep on, and we've stayed
at a hotel a couple of times in Chicago where
the bed was so good. She made me go to
the front desk and ask them, oh, what kind of
because she wanted that bed. She was like, this bed
was so amazing. And we were there for like a
couple of nights when we were visiting Jake, and it

(07:34):
was like this bed would give her the best sleep.
It was awesome. And I believe that it's not the bed.
I believe it's your mindset of All right, I'm here,
I'm relaxing, I'm having fun, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Like, yeah, I don't know if it's clean. There's nothing
for me to pick up.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Although I have stayed in hotels where the beds were atrocious.
Same they were like the absolute worst. Have you ever
been on vacation hotel? Airbnb? More so hotel.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
Somebody has brought like one of those polls to put
under the door for like extra security.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
No, I you know what I think, misfit Victor told me.
He Victor puts like some kind of an alarm system
and the door, so if somebody walks in and alarm
goes off. Have you ever seen those things that you
put by the door and if it moves, Yeah, but
there are people that get freaked out by that. You
should because people walk into your hotel.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Look what happened to Lydia Bianca and I in Chicago
a couple of weekends ago.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
The guy came in and brought us a microwave in
the middle of the night.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, he had a key card though he was thinking,
you guys were freaky. What what three girls share a
room together and ask for a microwave? What are they wondering?
What's going on in that room? What's going on? Megan?
How you doing good? Good? My questions answered? Your friend
explained what she does. So no matter where.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
She goes hotel friend's house, she brings like four pilows
of her own, a blanket, everything.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Oh my gosh, like the whole thing, Like the man, Yeah,
does she throw those in a checked bag because I
would guess that that's probably all going to be in there.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Yeah, And then like she has like a big duffel
bag that she brings, Like if.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
She comes to your house for the oh my gosh,
that's wild. She's paying a lot of money. Although the
guy that's lifting that bag to put it up on
the plane is probably like this thing is light what's
going on? Nikki there? Yeah here, good morning y'all. N
Nicky says, don't forget her comforter and what else? A fan?

Speaker 4 (09:31):
I always bring my own comforter and a fan. I
cannot sleep without a fan. This woman gets hot at night.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I like it. Chelsea brings a sound machine with her sometimes.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
I did that for a while too, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
And then I was like, can't we just put our
phone right?

Speaker 2 (09:44):
And then I started doing that.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Yeah, but that.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
That makes sense too, though, you know, because you have
strange noises.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
That you don't have at home. Yeah, yeah, you disrupt
your sleep. What kind of sounds is she sleeping too?
Chelsea has like just like white nois ish like like somebody.
We have it in our bedroom. And when Chelsea is
not the first one in bed, I can't fall asleep.
And I realized what it is is.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
I can't thunderstorms on automatically at eleven.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I'd pee my bed. I love that was a bed
weather that would Yeah, all of a sudden, i'd hear it.
I go, oh boy, it's Harry Coms a little Tommy's
coming back again? Could be maybe I don't know what's up? Kaylee?
How you doing good?

Speaker 4 (10:26):
How are you guys?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Good morning, morning, Kaylee. What's up?

Speaker 4 (10:30):
I would sleep.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
I would travel for work, and we'd stay in hotels
and this guy, I didn't stay in the same room
as him, but another coworker told me he'd strip the
bed and then just worm up in a sleeping bag.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Oh my gosh, a sleeping you might as well that point,
you might as well.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
Have a.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Crazy Oh my gosh, that's like really freaky. So well,
apparently he.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Got bed bugs once, so he thought that.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
That would up and never tre that. Wow. Well, we
love we love you. You take care of yourself.
