That just lets you know your friend of mine told
me that they were betting the Ravens. But this game

to be. We will talk about last year, last Night's debacle,
which was awful. But first, Anthony, before we do anything,
I want to address something that has been quietly kept.
But I want people to understand what my man Scotty
Davenport's going through.

A lot of people here don't understand the business of
college athletics and what Scotty is doing for Bellaman and
what he's taking on the chin for Bellaman to help
fund that program and help propel it to one.

Day great heights in division and basketball.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
But if people don't know, Scotty has lost I think
seven in a row. He's lost nine out of ten.
It's really really, really tough right now. They're owing four
in the conference in three and fourteen overall. But I
want people to understand that Scotty's trying to fund Bellaman's program.

I've had people ask me when you want to talk
about Bellaman, when you're going to say something about Belaman,
and everyone thought I was going to just be negative,
which is not at all. I have lived this at
North Carolina and t and at Howard University with coach Beard.
I understand what Scotty's going through, having to play pay games,

having to make money, then trying to get your team's
confidence and focus back. When you go into the conference,
when you can at that level compete, and Scotty will compete,
He'll get it turned around.

But I want people to understand when you play pay games.

And you have to go out on the road and
play the university of Louisvils all the time, and Northern
Kentucky ball states, Wyomings Cottorado's for a check, Vcus for
a paycheck for a paycheck, and I'm sure that they're
paying somewhere in the ballpark of eighty tow one hundred

thousand dollars.

When I was at North Carolina and T eleven twelve
years ago, Anthony, I was playing for no less than
sixty five, no more than ninety, So I'm sure Scotty's
playing for no less than ninety, probably to about one
hundred and ten thousand dollars a game, to bring money
into the program, to help fund the program, to travel
for all the sports, to take a burden off of

the other sports so they don't have to pay as
much for men's basketball. They make men's basketball fund itself.
So I just wanted everybody to know. I want Scotty
to know, Scotty hanging there, continue coaching, just like I
know you're going to. Your team will turn around. Continue
being disciplined with your team, practicing.

But I just want people to know that Coach Beard
and myself we have gone through this gauntlet that Scotty did,

love to jump on my record, and I think I
was ninety nine and one hundred and I don't know
seventy or eighty. And then I told them legitimately, honestly,
I had eight pay games a year times nine. I

won four or five of them. Scotty hasn't gotten him
one of those, but he will. Oh, yes he has.
He got Louisville last year. Yes he has. He's got
in University of Louisville, so he has gotten him a
payday win.

But most of the time, when you put yourself in
that situation, you're gonna come out with a loss, period,
point blank. So Scotty just keeps striving, keep working players
at Bellaman, believe in the system, believe in your coach,

of a sudden you'll see them on our six or
seven game winning streak. So I just wanted to make
sure I got that out there because a lot of

people they just don't understand it's all the same.

the officials, and the officials are awful. I'm not gonna
lie anymore.

you're not gonna get any calls anywhere. Guys, this is

for a check. Doesn't mean you can't get a win.
But you're gonna have to be ten to fifteen points

But I am a Mike tomlin Man, and I would
love to see him with the Cowboys. He just needs
to get a offensive coordinator, Anthony, that's all. A good
offensive coordinator and a truly good quarterback. And we know
that's hard to do because I mean we watched Sam Donald,
Justin Herbert Jordan love. The NFL playoffs, guys, is a

tough It's the toughest league my opinion, sports league going. Boy,
you've got to be prepared, you've got to be good.
That's why Lamar, Josh Allen, they make it look easy, guys,
because they're really good. Patrick Mahomes, I don't even want
to talk about him. He is the young goat, no
offensive butts. But there are a few people that make
it look fairly easy. You know, Lamar has struggled in

the playoffs. He has Anthony, He's played well. He played
well last game. I think if they keep it in
his will house, they make sure that they slow down
the rush by making him hand that ball off and
he running the ball. Also, I mean, you've got a
freight train behind him. I mean, come on, Jervy, what

you've got such a running attack, it helps. But Anthony,
I'm telling you, I just my opinion. If Jerry Jones
had any sense at all, which he doesn't, he would.

Everyone's already talked about the Cowboys do everything a little
bit differently than every other team in the NFL, which
is true. You know, a lot of their philosophies don't
make sense to about nine to nine percent of the
people that watched sports. But the rumors when they were
talking about Mike McCarthy was coming back and he's going
to resign his contract with the Cowboys. They waited so
long to make that decision of where they're gonna let

McCarthy go, or if they're not a lot of the
good coaches already getting picked up, you could let him go.
Mike Rabel has been on the table for months. Yes, him,
they let him go to the Patriots.

Yes, he's a very good coach, discipline oriented, which is
what the Cowboys need. But their owner is not disciplined. Anthey,
so I mean Jerry Jones is in discipline you just mentioned.
I mean, you're one hundred percent incorrect. They should have
let Mike go. McCarthy's done a fine job, put him
in the playoffs. He's a super Bowl coach with the
Packers with Aaron Rodgers. I mean, he's a very really

good coach. But the bottom line is we knew that
they weren't going to keep him. The Cowboys were not going.

So Anthony, Jerry Jones, Oh, Anthony, it's so so funny.
But everyone may have heard Jerry Jones talking about yesterday.
He was being sarcastic again, which he's been quite a
bit lately, saying, who was here at the press conference
when I bought the Cowboys. Anthony got me? Who was

here in nineteen eighty five? Were any of you all
here when I bought the Cowboys? And I said, I
was in it to work it. I wasn't just going
to be an owner to buy it and stand back,
but I was going to work that, Anthony. But here
sitting there saying that I worked at Southwestern Life Insurance
Company in Dallas, Texas. Fred Rice and Bob Shaw were

huge sports guys. They had tickets to the Dallas Cowboys.
I used to go to the games all the time
for free, Anthony at the old Cowboys Stadium. And I
was at the press conference when Jerry was talking that
junk seeing who was there.

they fall out And Jerry Jones has won four playoff games, Anthony,
in twenty five years. I just want people to understand
that he's won four playoff games in twenty five years
and he doesn't think he should change something. Well again, Anthony,

that's delusional. Because you have money doesn't mean you're right.
That's just the bottom line. But right now, boy, we
think if you got money, you have power and that
means you have to be right.

You know what? I just don't know if any coaches
a fit with Jerry Jones right now.

I don't even say he's too much. He just doesn't

the cards to unfold. Then he's kind of shorthanded, and

I think Dia would be a great fit in Dallas
because Dallas is a big spotlight team, which Ston really
does love. He did at Jackson State, He's done at
Colorado personality wise in his mono. I think in the
Cowboys is a good mesh because it's like coaching the
Lakers in the NBA. You have to have a personality
to be able to coach those teams. You can't sit
back under the spotlight kind of in the dark, like

you do with maybe like the Charlotte Hornets or the
Cleveland Browns, you just don't get as much. You don't
get as much hate when you lose, but you don't
really get that much love when you win, and you're
just kind of ingres When you go to Dallas, they
would expect you to win games, they expect you to
win playoff games, and they were expecting to see a
super Bowl within the next couple of years. That's just

how it is. It doesn't matter if your team you
have the worst quarterback in the NFL or if you
have the worst GM ever, they want to see results.
That's just how Dallas is. It's America's team, So Dion
is a good fit. I know that they're gonna have
to restart though. That's the thing. The team isn't terrible,
but they have to restart. Dak Prescott is not your
super Bowl quarterback. I'm sorry. No, it hasn't been a

super Bowl quarterback in really the last ten years. That
has just been very okay.

If they tell him he's got to be Tom Brady,

a running game and let him play off of a
true running game. He is a game manager. He would

Dak Prescott. I mean honestly, Jerry Jones just thought that
Dak Prescott turned into Tom Brady.

His best comparison right now when it comes to skill wise,
with a little bit of a worst team is Jalen Hurts.

He throws it better in Jalen, but not much better,
but he throws it better than Jalen Jalen.

Outside of Jaalen, Dalen's running game is a little bit
better and his little touch push that he likes to do,
the rack up balls, touchdowns. Jalen Hurts isn't that impressive.
He just has a lot better team he's got. I
think he has a better receiving corps. He's got a
j Brown, Devonte Smith, and he has the best running
back in the NFL right now. It's tape on Barkley.
If you go statistical wise, defense, best coaching for one

like you put him in the best situation possible.

and you didn't really have to worry about as much.

and eight in Cal at two and six. That's the
only thing with Cal. Cal doesn't play a lot of games.
They've only played eight games this year.

he's he's been in the NFL a great time. I
think he's above average quarterback. He's as Stargian quarterbacks. This
year he was top ten, top fifteen, he was a
growing the best backups in the NFL for a long time,
but the best backups for a long time in the NFL.

But a Super Bowl contending quarterback, He's just not that
coin for a player right now.

positions to be successful. What he did was set it
up for a complete disaster, which it was. It was
the worst playoff game i'd seen. Minnesota was ill prepared
to play, and I was just surprised. I truly thought
that they would bounce back after the Detroit game, Anthony.

I was expecting a better showing. But when O'Connell made
that decision, I said, I just don't get it anymore.
I don't get coaches. All the things I said is
Shreadn't Sam was playing poorly? Why would you say he's
going to complete the pass. Your offensive line couldn't block anyone.
Your defense wasn't stopping the charges at all. Excuse me,

(40:27):
not the chargers, the rams at all. So Anthony, what
did you expect?

Ends up being a sack they seeing, You know, touchdown
games over at halftime, game is over at halftime. I
