Speaker 1 (00:00):
To insinuate that Darrol used to clap on Anthony, clap
off like your lights, saying throw me the ball and
get out of the way. Eaves. Daryl never did that.
So you got a chance to meet him, Anthony. You
took care of his car, so I appreciate you for that.
But that gentleman that you met, Anthony, first class guy.
Now Anthony, this other guy, look, Rick, just bring him home. Hey,

(00:23):
other guy, what's your name? What's your name?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Mother guy? I can't help missed.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
You to you. I'll be back to reading you again. Hey, George, Willie,
they want to shoot those throws. Hey George, he didn't
want to shoot those free throws. Charge did you see that? He? George?
The end of that game was comical, just like Louisvill's
Willie didn't want to shoot the street throws. They wait

(01:00):
till I see Sean Woods. Sean what was that?

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Hey, George, I just think both teams Kentucky and Louisville,
Kentucky and Louisville. H give it up, George, that's all.
They just give it up. Just remember the great days.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, well, I mean you just got these guys are
reminiscing and it's good for the fans. The fans enjoyed.
The fans enjoyed. They really do. You know, when you
come out and they get to see the old players
that they were reminisce and they get to interact with them,
and they get to enact with them more than they
probably ever have in their careers. So you know, for
a lot of people, this dream come true.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Right. Well, here's what Daryl Griffin said to me. He
saw you at the game, the second Louisville game, and
he says, eve Olympid halftime. I said, I saw the
first game. I didn't go back to the second. So George,
you were at both and you know both teams need
to give it up. Just be honest, Hey, George, there's

(01:59):
nothing wrong. It's over there, nothing wrong with that, George.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
But you say that, and look at the endorsement and
the sponsorship. This guy is getting to put these games one.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
George, that person is made But George, again, I've said, George,
you're one hundred percent correct. That person is making a
mint on people. That the only way they're supposed to
be paid is if they win to get the million
dollars and you.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Pay them to come out Jarry. So that's a great product.
You can't beat that. I mean, I'm gonna bring them
back as long as they want to come back, George.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
They're not supposed to be paid, George. They're supposed to
be honestly, they're supposed to raise money for the hotels
and the food. They're not supposed to make a dime George,
unless they win it. The producer, the promoter doesn't pay
them a penny. Supposedly, George, I don't know. I'm just saying,
I'm saying what they say.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
You missed my whole point, Jerry. My point was. My
point was that I'm the promoter, the god that gat them.
I'm bringing them back to Oh yeah, I'm getting Jared.
I'm not. I'm gonna find every one of them guys
I can find and keep bringing them back out. They
head the promotions and the adverat amag Jery. Yes, I'm

(03:14):
gonna keep that going as long as possible. I don't
care what you said that you old people coming. I'm
gonna shop.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Quit beating my boys. Did you beat my body? You're
just beating them, that's all. You're using them, George. You
using day.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
We've been used all our life. What's different?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Okay, real life? Yeah, I don't like we're gonna talk
about nothing. I told everybody nothing, Hey, George, I tell everybody.
I love all that, all the money you guys got, please, George, George,
I'll take a lot of check to tests. I told everybody, please.

(03:50):
I'm mad today, George.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
But you still got used.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
But without a doubt, no question, George, No, I did.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
So look at what negave us?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
What is? Because George, they're adults now, Jesus, we were kids.
At least their adults now. Leys should know better. That's all, George.
You got to know when you're being used. So George,
here's the deal.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
What didn't Harold didn't Harold playing to flat back to
that game.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I hope he didn't do that, George. I heard it,
and I want people to everybody to understand. Montress Harrold
stated that he rented a plane to fly back to
play in the TVT a league that he is supposed
to not being paid for to play unless they win it. George,
I hope he was mistaken. I hope he was playing.
I hope he did not do that. That's all I

(04:39):
can say, George.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I hope you that's all I.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Wish, George. That's what came out of his mouth. George
I was like, oh my gosh. So anyway, there you go.
So here's what we've got. Anthony, you were late and
George is crazy. That's all it was to it. So
I'm throwing both of you out of the bus. We're
gonna throw it to you. No, no, no, George, Anthony,

(05:04):
you just hold We're gonna throw it to you in
a second. George, I spoke about ov Pobby Harrison. I
want you to speak about it a little bit. Then
I throw it to Anthony. Are you ready now, yes? Yes,
oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
I think it was a fantastic, fantastic day. And you know, uh,
like I said, that was very very too emotional points
for me on that day when Cobby had and Greg
to read his letter about how he felt about all
his friends and how he felt about that day and

(05:39):
what it meant to him to be around the people
that he was around, and I thought that that was
very very touching and moving. And he told why he
was going through, I mean, how he was gonna handle
what he's going through, and you know, and he met
his you, he was gonna meet his maker. And I
think he was then go get baptized. He gave himself
to God.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
He did, he did, he did, he did, yes, Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
And and then the second thing, Jarry, that I thought
was very very touching when you got that many guys
and you coached him on that long period of time,
and how they over thirty forty years, like these guys
have been together, and Jared when they came back and
my man wrote that letter about what the team felt
and what copy had done to them and what he
had meant for them in their life as grown men
as old as me and Jerry, and they still have

(06:22):
the same passion and affection and showed up for him.
I thought it was fantastic for Jerry Ellis to come
out and you know, and to be around. It was
just a very very moving day. You could see had
touched his sister and his family, some of his ball players. Jared.
I was glad to be able to be invited to
be that for that moment. And the thing that he
said about you, Jeri. As much as I give you

(06:43):
a hard time, he did recognize you and what you
meant to him in his life at this stage of
his life, and what you're doing for him in his life,
and his teammates have mentioned that also, So I want
to give you a shout out, and you know, I
just wish nothing but the best for Copy and thankful
to be in a position like that, to be able
to set a wait what Cobby and hoping nothing but
the best for Cobby.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yeah, George, that was my first time to where a
person knows his future. We all know our future, but
to know that it's around the corner, it could be
today for all of us. But to truly understand his
situation and what Cobby is going through and his transition
and to be a part of that was different. George.

(07:26):
It was really different for me. That's that's all I
can say. I'd never experienced anything like that, but it
was a wonderful time. Cindy and I when everyone was
reading the letters, were just Sindy was just hugging me
in crying. That's his sister, and you know, just the
very very very best. But again, if you all can

(07:47):
try to get Bay to see Kyby, call Kybby if
you can. I understand people have busy lives and we
all can't do that, but it was touching. George, really
was so anyway, Well, put you've got great pictures. Everybody
wants the pictures. I mean they're wearing me out, everybody, great, Whitlock, Cindy.
They all want the pictures that you were taking of

(08:08):
the groups, George, which will definitely post and all the above.
So whenever you get those ready to get those two,
we appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
To use you again.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
I will get them out there today, Jay, Okay, great, Yes,
you know they're clamoring for them, and you know that
they were telling you when we're getting the pictures other
than you.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Always said, why do y'all want Jerry's in the picture?
Other than that? George, it was a wonderful day.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
And you know he reflected off on my camera, Dredge.
They kind of took a couple of people out of
the picture, you know, on the glow it was so bright.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
It kind of it took me out. You got me.
I should have known you got me, hey, George, But
I want you to tell everybody you have to admit this, Whitlock.
Everybody's to tell you, Oh my god, Kenny Blant and
a commonwealth everybody. George Kbby had to go back to
his room. He was trying to stay in the greeting room,

(09:09):
but he got dizzy, so they had to take him
back to his room. So at the beginning, we were
going back, George and I Jerry Ellis, we were going
back in groups of five or six to his room. George,
as soon as I bust up in his room, you
know what I told Kabby? You know what I told him? Everybody? Yeah, yeah, Jerry. Guys,

(09:30):
you want to know what I told? Kyby and I
have had a running agreement that you're always gonna take
Kyby out. I said, Kyby, keep messing with me, I'm
gonna take you down. Everyone knows Kyby was a tough
man and is a tough man. I am telling you guys.
He's been in car wrecks, he's been an ambulance wrecks,
he broke his neck, he's done everything. Kbby is the tank.
I'm telling you all. Cobby is the main right And

(09:54):
I always told Kabby, even when he was having a
hard time getting around Kyby, keep messing with you. I'm
gonna take you out. He said. All I need to
get you is in a room and a locked door.
All I need is you in a room and a
locked door.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
And you told him that again the other day, did
you ja I did?

Speaker 1 (10:12):
I said, Kyby, I don't care what I get my win.
I'm gonna get a win.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
And what was Kabby's response to you?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Jerry Kbby said lock the door with locked, locked the.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Door and started laughing at you. Jim Oh he did
he laughing?

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Come over here, Oh guys, we had a wonderful time.
And again, if you can call Kyby Harrison, please do so.
Look we're seven eighteen when we're gonna throw it to
Anthony when we come back, because we've got three things
we've got to touch. George he's got the national news.
We're gonna get to it after the break. This is
E Sports Radio. I got d George Williams. I got

(10:51):
the young fella, Anthony Eaves. We'll be back after the break.
Welcome back to EVE Sports Radio. July twenty fifth, twenty
twenty five. Yesterday Friday, Thank god it's Friday. I got Anthony's.
I got George Williams. Guys, I'm gonna throw it to Anthony.
Anthony hit us with the national news.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
So the big thing was one of the topics of
the town is we're talking about Memphis basketball and we're
talking about the Memphis is offering a two hundred million
dollars to join the Big Twelve in this proposal, but
it lacks support. And I've read through the description of
the lack of support. They probably get dollars in sponsorships
from one of their big partners that they have, which
is FedEx, and the other from the Tigers athletics athletic department.

(11:32):
They would forgo media rights for the first five years
of entering the conference, according to the report, but the
Big Twelve is not interested in having Memphis join the
Big Twelve. Now, I'm pretty sure the big reason is
behind it is because marketability and location of Memphis. Also,
Memphis football team is not the best well known team
on the planet. They have one, they're decent, But the

(11:55):
Big Twelve does like having the football and basketball combinations.
And I did want to ask you in George, firstly,
what do you think your big opinion is why the
Big twelve is denying teams like Memphis who make big
pushes in the NCAA tournament They've had prospects come out
of they ever go to the NBA. Why is the
Big twelve to nine teams now when teams are leaving
the Big Twelve.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Yeah, George, what do you think? Give me your opinion.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
I'm not I'm not really sure why Memphis is not
because I think it's a good regional area. You can
get into it really well. I think they have a great,
great fan base or is the tradition. I think they
support their teams really well. I don't know how they travel, Jared,
but they may they may have another team in mind
to take that position. We don't know what's going on
behind the scenes. So but you know, Memphis has always

(12:41):
been a class act, especially when it comes to college sports,
and it's a very nice city. If you go into
travel and you want to come visit, Myphis is not
a bad city if you got to stop over the sea.
I don't know. I'm not really good j I don't
know much about.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
The Big Twelve, right, No, George, Anthony. It's always about money,
as we well know, and Memphis did say that they
would give up five years of their media rights to
where they would not be paid. But I think right
now George is right. We don't know exactly, Anthony, but
I think it has a lot to do with everyone's

(13:16):
being strategic with who they accept now into their conference
and they know that the media rights and sharing other
money is something they don't want to do. So if
they don't think that Memphis for me, Anthony, it's Memphis State,
but it's Memphis now that their football program brings enough juice, Anthony.
Even though I checked the last fifteen years, Memphis football

(13:38):
program has been very good three years three out of
the last fifteen they've been very good, but not the
last nine. So when you're looking at it with that
football side which rules the roosts, which really pushes the
money basketball wise, Anthony, they would accept it. Like George said,
there's no question Memphis is a quality basketball team, but

(13:59):
that football team comes and goes, Anthony. And I'm not
sure if they need another bottom dweller and the Big
twelve to draw the money. George hit it on the head, George,
I don't think their football team, I'm sure of it
draws correctly and will travel correctly for the Big twelve
to be interested now right, And I mean that's and

(14:20):
I think that's the only issue. But good question, Anthony,
go ahead, what else do it? Because we've got a
lot going on in college athletics. George, go ahead?

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Oh of course, well, yeah, and even on y'all's points,
I definitely agree on that. I think a lot of
big thing goes into the College Football Playoffs plays a
big role in Memphis joining them because obviously the Memphis
is in that conference's bottom doellers and football. It drags
down their probability of getting more teams into that College
Football Playoffs. And we know how they're restructuring that to where,
you know, the teams and the conferences have to be

(14:49):
a little bit more powerful, which kind of gets into
our next topic, because North Carolina and Clemson are two
teams that are trying to leave the ACC currently for
the SEC coming in the twenty thirty twenty thirty one season. Now,
stay with me, I'm gonna read this quote off right
here from they got from Adam Smith of Inside Carolina Sports.
So with this is says the Tarnhills and Clemson are
reportedly at the front of the pack, with the SEC

(15:10):
being North Carolina, North Carolina's preferred landing spark. As far
as the timeline, the AEC's exit fees fall from ninety
three million to seventy five million in the twenty twenty
twenty thirty twenty thirty one school year, but Smith's report
said that they capture the departure could be even sooner. Currently,
the AEC's exit fee is one hundred and forty seven
million for schools I want to leave by June thirty

(15:32):
of twenty twenty seven, the earliest possible date. That figure
drops by eighteen million each year until loaving off at
seventy five million in twenty thirty and twenty thirty one. Now,
it says, with the SEC expanding from fourteen teams to
sixteen teams because they did ad Texas and Oakland coming
on board, the ACC is currently the largest conference right
now at eighteen schools seventeen football minus Notre Dame because

(15:53):
they're independent, And it says the AEC settlement with Crimson
and Florida Florida State helps pave the way for schools
looking to leave the confer with UNC Chancellor Lead Roberts
performing a key role in finalizing the agreement. North Carolina
is the only original member of the AEC, which was
founded in nineteen fifty three. Now it's pretty much saying
this is where they're gonna turn the SEC pretty much

(16:13):
how the accs down. If ACC has eighteen teams. We
have a million teams obviously average. We added in Stanford,
California and a few other schools last year in the
last two years, but you know, everyone's trying to going
into that big market area of money and revenue. North
Carolina knows, and I hate to say it, I don't
know if North Calina knows this, but I think they're
trying to jump shit before you know, so they can

(16:34):
save a sinking vote. North Carolina and basketball is being
kind of under the radar lately. Their football team has
been okay, but they're not great. Everything about North Carolina
in the last couple of years since the retirement of
Roy Williams has been kind of average. I'm gonna be
completely honest, They're.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Just not that great.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
On the other hand, and it sounds funny. Duke has
been better than football last year than UNC and football
and basketball. Clinston had a down their year last year,
but they'll bounce back with Kate club Nick a veteran
leadership on that team as well. Florida Stable bounced back
as well too. But these teams know that they're trying
to get into the AEC for that marketability, and I
hate to say it, every time the college football PLAYERFS

(17:09):
is just going to keep playing the bigger factor of
these schools bringing in revenue because football is such a
money market for college athletics.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Okay, now, George, a lot said there, but he is correct.
Everyone is saying now that the true teams that the
SEC has interest in is, of course Clemson and North Carolina,
not Florida State. As much as people thought, what do
you think, George about North Carolina leaving the ACC and

(17:37):
what would that do? We've got the AEC media day
going on right now, George, it's a media week. It's
going on right now. Jim Phillips, the commissioner, is trying
to say, they've solidified this ship.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
What do you think, well, Jerry, I think that's one
of the real reasons that Bill Belichick probably came into
the age. Yes, I think that they told him what
their plans were and what their Jackson's word and where
they were gonna place him. And I think because because
he's definitely a prominent character for getting another NFL job.
So I think one of the things that brought him

(18:09):
on that is the SEC because of the coaching staff
and what he can do. And getting back to the
NFL a lot quicker, So I think a lot of
that do with that, Jerry, and I don't know what's
gonna become in the ACC though when they take this
team out, Jay, because on the other team, I see
the make Snois in the ACC now will be Duke
and Duke doesn't and we talked about football, and Duke
is not a prominent team in football, so their only

(18:30):
great foot will be probably basketball. And I don't know
how you really survive. And like we talk about how
much football Jazz Colls is now, the ACC could be
in real trouble now this because Lois could win some championships,
But will it really matter.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
No, Georgia Henderson correct, it's critical. We've been saying it
for years, and Cardinal fans, I know you don't like
hearing this. You get upset with me when I've been
telling you this four years. Oh, the cards are being shifted,
and I mean literally, the cards are being shifted with
this ACC. We're gonna get into more of it, George
and Anthony after the break, but before we go to break,

(19:07):
and before we get more into this, because I want
to explain this North Carolina situation. I got a caller
for you, George, he's your one and only do me
a favor. I want to say, my man, but I
never know ac. Welcome back. How are you?

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Oh man? Good morning guys. Hi, god's feeling Thank you
so much for taking out I'm one razy now you're
on the radio. Hey, you know I've been calling.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
I don't know how I'm feeling right now. I'll let
you you are.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
You are feeling great. First of all, I want to uh,
it's good to hear from brother Rick again since three
weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Good good to have this brother back. I've been calling
your sponsors, mister Eaves. Maybe I'm doing some business back door.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
I know I'm not gonna miss I'm not gonna dischool everything.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
I'm gonna make it short and simple. I had five
minute conversation with John Kearney.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yes, sir, he told me.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
He told me, yeah, no, no, no, don't disclose everything. You
know it's we're not gonna disclose. Well, of course I
had a great conversation teller. We're gonna do some business
and all. Probably you know, I have an idea. All
the terrible callers you have, you just charge them to

(20:28):
eighty percent. Terrrist Oh yeah, Terror how horrible they are. Mister,
let me tell you you know, I think it's been
three years. I've been calling the show for six years,
and I appreciate the platform.

Speaker 6 (20:44):
I always forget to thank you for doing Coach Denny
crumpt super Ride.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
So I'm gonna let you know I appreciate you.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
But you gotta do.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Second SuperDrive, mister Eaves to honor your tribal chief acy.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
That's right. Oh no, I can't. I can't. I can't, No,
I can't do that. I on.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
I love you.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
I never know what we're gonna get from you.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
But George, let me tell you all know John Carney
Carney's galleries right there in Jaytown, right next to my
m D. Doctor Wheeler. He's a great guy. You get
ready to do the floor in my laundry room. I
have to George. I called John and said, John, what
are you gonna send me the estimate? John said, Jerry,
you gotta come and pick out what you won't first.
My mind's going. But John's the best, John said, you know.

(21:39):
I said John an email and said he called you.
He said, he you're you are.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
I am gonna call Republic Bank and let's find out who.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
The hater is I handle my business. Stab Let me say,
you know, four gentlemen in the studio. I know you
guys are a little hungry, and I'm a little hungry
as well. So ladies out there and make us some
sandwich and take on my garbage. Baby, that should be
your job instead of.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Oh my god, oh no, you just got hung No no.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
No, they could be doing it.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Travel Chief out, say travel chief and out, because the
women are not gonna hang me for what you just said.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
No no, no, no, no no they should hang me not you
hang up by saying this, I don't want to waste
too much of your time. Let me hang up by.

Speaker 6 (22:31):
Sending mister Eves, this is breaking news. No more tribal chief.
Moving forward, I want to be addressed as and see
the brown bear, because I mean, when you come back.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
You've got your last national news where you going to
break sports rady, We're.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Out even sports radio. All I can say, and I'm
going to say it, is that I have absolutely nothing
to do. I'm paid programming. You'll hear it every day
when iHeart Meetia. I own my own show. No one
can tell me what I do, not do how I

(23:22):
do it. I own my own show. I purchase my
hour from my heart. I just want to let you
all know I have nothing. My disclaimer is I have
nothing to do at AC and do not come looking
for me nor my mailbox. That's all that I can say.
So anyway, George Anthony, welcome back to the show. That Hey,

(23:45):
come on, man, Ace's gone. That boy someone just sick
and tweeted me what's he having his coffee? I have
no idea at acy is another level. But guys, here's
the deal. Let's get back to work, and here's the
situation with all. I mean, the shifting sands are going
on right now. First thing, George, you know, I'm getting

(24:07):
ready to get Anthony. He's on the move and he
was getting ready to hit his third point, which is,
of course, if you all don't know it, President Trump
signed an executive order trying to help navigate this situation
with college athletics. Okay, all right now, I'm just gonna

(24:28):
break it down for people. I just going to break
it down to you. My show says you can't handle
the truth sometimes and sometimes you can't. But I'm going
to tell you my belief of the truth, and anyone
that disagrees, please call my show. You will have a platform.
AC gets a platform, George. You shouldn't give it to
it either, but we do. Here's what's transpiring North Carolina.

(24:52):
Once out of the acc Everybody is seeking more money, George.
You said all the time. Everybody's always seeking the dollar.
Just said it about the TVT, the producer, the promoter,
excuse me, is always seeking more money. Absolutely. Everyone is
always in America trying to make more money. I got
no problem with that, guys, none whatsoever. So don't ever

(25:15):
say that I have a problem with people making money.
I do not. I just hate that when they try
to limit a certain group of people, period, point blank.
So we've been in this sports business. George Williams was
around before I was at University of Louisville. Didn't get
his chance. Coach osen loves me. I don't know what

(25:35):
that was. One day, I'll let George fill you in.
But again, he was knocking on the door of this
basketball business with Alan Murphy and Junior Bridgeman and that group.
Jerry's comes in with a great group of players and
we accomplished something that had never been accomplished. Thank you
and Stefan I'll get to you. You'll be in this
in the last segment. So, George, we accomplished something something

(25:58):
that Louis would not accomplished before winning an nc DOUAA championship.
They went an n IT, but not in Ncuba. That
was like the gateway, honestly to the goal mine as
the NCAA grew and has grown and has grown from
nineteen eighty George, from a fifteen dollars ticket at Madison
Square Garden and to where it is today where each

(26:21):
ticket is over four hundred and fifty bucks. George, They've
made more money, more money, more money. They have limited
student athletes ability to make money. But I told you all,
I mean this. If you go back to last fifty
they've made over to two hundred and fifty billion dollars.
So I do hate that when people want to get involved. Now,

(26:43):
all of a sudden, the business is going to go
under because we're starting to pay the last group to
be paid. So I'm just going to give it to
you all, guys. It's the truth. Was adlet directors are
white males, most coaching are white males. Thos, people that
have been paid extremely amount of money in this business

(27:06):
are white males. All I'm asking you, and all I'm
telling you is through all these years, when have you
ever seen the legislation come from your president saying that
we were going to limit their pay? How many buyouts
have we seen? The University of Louisville paid astronomical amount
of money. I mean, we've talked about it, George, coach

(27:26):
Beard and I astronomical. We've talked about my man, Swaggy Cow,
that's my guy. You don't know that. I'm not rolling
over on it now, Kentucky. Swaggy Cow's my man. I
could get into practices with Swaggy Cow. I can't get
into now Kentucky. Kentucky's not my man. Coach Cali Perry was,
but he had a huge buyout by accepting and taking

(27:47):
the Arkansas job. Oh, Mitch Barnhardt, he does, He does
a huge bullet. Everybody at the University of Kentucky is
upset over stoops is by out. George, I mean, the
biot is just ridiculous. It's more money than families have made.
It's more money than blocks of families have made. It's
more money than generational families have made. You know, we

(28:09):
paid one coach there was no legislation when jimbo Fisher
got paid seventy six million dollars to leave. I'm sick
of it, guys. I'm through with it. It's just the truth.
But people hate George. People hate me because I tell
them the truth. I'm an emotional a little bit. I'm
a little bit because it's just got on my nerves.

(28:30):
We've had two years of players getting paid and we
don't know what they've been paid. We've heard the stories
about the ones that haven't been paid. But all of
a sudden, now we have to have a legislation. Now
our president of the United States. Guys, if you just
google President Trump, he assued, more industries and businesses that
have tried to limit his income intake Give me a

(28:55):
break now, I mean, the line has to stop. Come on, guys,
the truth has to be told. Go and google how
many companies and people, he assued, that have tried to
limit his financial date oh Man. Nick Saban's wife said
all they wanted to do was talk about the money,
and here we are. Nick Saban has made hundreds of

(29:18):
millions of dollars. Got Nick Saban coach in NFL, got
his butt kicked, got his butt kicked. Alabama's a great job.
Always won, always will win. It's a great job. People
don't understand. Tell Nicksable to go to Eastern Kentucky and
do the same thing. I'm just being honest with you.
I'm so tired of the bs. Tell him to go

(29:41):
to Eastern Kentucky and win a NASA championship. I'll roll
over like a dog. I can't take it. So here
we are. Finally African Americans are making some money. No
matter what you want to say, Let's just be honest

(30:01):
with this. And boy, here we come with every rule
and every regulation in the book. Finally. The only reason
we're here is the Supreme Court said that guys, stop
trying to call it amateur. You've made billions of dollars,
not millions. You've built more statues on your campus than

(30:24):
we have Egyptian pyramids. Get out of here, I mean,
and here we are. We've got to legislate this before
it goes under. It's not gonna go under. It's made
too much money. It's making too much money. Secondly, so
tired of We've got to make sure that we don't

(30:46):
lose the other sports. I'm all for that. I have
no problem with that. I did not choose basketball when
I was five or six years old, George, because it
was a revenue producing sports.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yes, I love playing it.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
Yeah, I mean, George, just like you did. I love
playing just like who else. Cayle Macy chose it in
Indiana because it was the biggest thing going as a
small kid. Nobody made a lot of money, Larry Bird,
thank you, George. We chose it because we loved playing it,

(31:20):
just like some people chose baseball because they love playing it.
Some people choose field hockey and volleyball because they love
playing it, not because it's a revenue producing sports. But guys,
all those other Olympic sports are not at this time
revenue producing sports. They're enigmas. Mississippi State, LSU and baseball

(31:45):
that do make money. University of Louisville is bleeding money
every day. I'm sorry, Dave. If you can't handle the truth,
turn it off. They're bleeding money. They paid a head
coach more than the day program makes. Give me a break.
So guys, I'm just I'm just so fed up. It's

(32:05):
been two and a half years. We don't know what
the players have made. We don't know I've heard all
the numbers. I've told you all. I think they're alive.
I told you all three weeks ago, two weeks ago, George,
when our governor signed Bill Bill three, have to go
back on saying that we could not find out what

(32:27):
the players were being paid. What did I tell you all?
I want to know what they're being paid. I'm not
hiding anything. We should know what they're being paid. Go ahead, George,
go ahead. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
If I could just say this one thing, and and
like you said that, nobody was asking for the five men,
the ideals, the one mean, the ideal. The NA rejected
the right to pay these ball players the money. Jed,
they could have gave a bout young people, and young
people would have jumped out on this. But what what
North whatsn't at that lawsuit together and put it together.

(33:01):
And every since in Jay, we have lost our man.
And like you said, Jae, you think about the money
they make in a year. They could have put a
billion dollars aside, played every NCA ball left, no matter
what sport you is, and the players would have been
very very back because people don't understand.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
We're gonna do that.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
George, work out you travel.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Ah, we're gonna do that, George. That means being fair
and sharing revenue. We're gonna do that, George.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Bottom line, coach, you're showing that thousand dollars jail. You're
not even giving them a smitten George.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
You know, coach, you peer to say yes to one
hundred percent truth. It's so simple. He says, they could
have paid the five star athletes. This is four years ago,
five years ago, two hundred thousand bucks. Yep, you could
pay the four star one fifty, the three star one hundred,
the two star fifty, the wall calls and rest place
twenty five. George, we wouldn't be in. They wouldn't do it.

(33:54):
We can't decide what to do. They didn't want to share.
Serving American does it want to pay the bottom. I
don't care what anybody says. You know, it's a fact.
How many businesses have you been in when somebody that's
making sixteen an hour, eight hour wants to make nine.
You're our congressman, say we can't do that. Get away

(34:14):
from me, George Williams. And they vote themselves the best
benefits in the world on the very next day, and
we accept it as Americans. Guys, I can't take it.
Apocrisy is just gone.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
So and then just to throwing my two sins here.
And I've been listening the whole time, and not even
from a perspective of someone who played in college basketball.
I played in twenty fifteen to twenty nineteen. Now I
was just there six seven years ago. And you have
to understand, we're talking about the money aspect of these
players are getting paid.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Now.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
You could have offered me, honestly, really anything at the time.
You gonna understand, a lot of these kids don't come
from wealthy backgrounds. A lot of them come from nothing.
They come from nothing. You know, even the great players
you see had Alabama and Georgia that they loved, so
nearly nearly a lot of them come from Section eight.
They don't have two parent households. You got to understand
even throwing them a quarter million dollars for being a

(35:07):
five star, two hundred thousand for being a four star,
or you could have just did it. Even across the board.
NCAA is the biggest revenue company almost in the world.
Probably it's on the top ten. It makes a lot.
It makes a lot for a nonprofit organization. I said
that even a thousand times, this is the nonprofit. Why
am I filling out like tax forms for all my
school stuff? But I was like, sure, whatever they say.

(35:28):
You didn't understand my school was small. If you would
have said five thousand dollars just to take care of
you for the year, if you got to know groceries,
if you got a car just to pay for your gas,
you know, you can still go out. And you know
if they have a good time with good friends every
now and then, go get you a little bite deep
to dinner, take your girlfriend now cool. That would have
been a touchdown for me. That would have been touchdown
for any point, even the schools of players. I went
to school with. So a lot of my teammates I

(35:50):
was used to get they used to get money back
from the school because I was when we filled out
there fast. For the lower income, they get a couple
thousand dollars each semester, even those only you know, twenty
five hundred three grand. We were excited about it.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
I was jealous.

Speaker 5 (36:03):
I was like, man, in my head, it's out as stupid.
I was like, oh, I was like I wish, I
wish we should be don't make so much money, so
I get some of that money too, because I'm.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Broke up here.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Let me start. Let me talk to you, to Anthony.
I want people to know what they're saying. I had
to fill out a fast for I had to tell
them what I made for Anthony to get his scholarship.
So let's just cut the job. I had to prove
Jersey's I had to lay out what I was worth
so you could get in scholarship. George, what does my
networth have to do with with my son getting a scholarship?

(36:35):
That's what they make you do. So all these people
that are sitting there, Oh, no, they want to know
everything about every person. Guys, if you.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
Come from a wealthy background, they don't hand out money
to you. Just put it like that.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
So if your kids goes to.

Speaker 5 (36:50):
The same Eggs Stacy D. Trinity, and your households combined,
you know eighty to probably over one hundred k, you
just know you're something. When he goes to school, unless
you's getting scholarships some grants for education, he's not getting
a single dime unless he's on scholarship, full scholarship, and.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
He's not even one money.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
Now they're getting they're getting paid now and they're getting
paid now. They mess up because they put the bar
so high for the kids. Oh Archie Maine making two
and a half million, not even playing a step on
the field, and I love him. I love Texas football.
I'm a big Texas football fan.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
You can't go back until I can't that contract. I
just want to see the I'm not believing it until
I see it. I hear these crazy numbers. I want to.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
See what you do.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
I just want to see them. When I see them,
all leave them. That's all. I'm just telling people that
when Jimbo Fisher got paid seventy six million dollars to
leave a school, seventy six million, there's no legislation. There
was nobody calling up and God saying we need help.
There was nothing they paid guys. Now that African Americans

(37:55):
are benefiting some other we've got all kinds of issues.
It's just the facts with America people, And I'm telling
you the truth. They've made over twenty and fifty billion.
They made more money than every professional sport other than football.
They told them quit say an amateur. It's not it's

(38:16):
a lie. I know. We gotta we gotta get to
break guys, we do do me a favor. No, we're
not gonna break. We're just gonna take it to the
end and run to just let me know. You just
have to do the math, Rick, and we'll have to
leave a little earlier. So guys, women listening America, all

(38:36):
we have to do is come together. Coach Beard gave
you a easy payment plan. George Williams, I said this
the other day. It was so simple. I've got to
find it. I told him, and George, we've said it before,
how easy this would have been to rectify when the
universe is really they noticed that all they had to
do is go ahead to hit me quick, hit me quick,

(38:58):
So giveead.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
In my area. When we would planning, Jerry, we were
thinking that if they just would pay us, not doing
the course of why we were judge, just a little
simple line to check we got and but when we graduated, Jerry,
there would be big revenues like two hundred and fifty
thousand dollars waiting on us for graduation. We didn't check
it out, you know, making the big money down. But
if they would just have us prepare us so we

(39:20):
made our degree that we would be able to go
into business for ourselves when we graduate.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
That's all George. We gotta go guys. But again, so simple.
Pay for degrees is the first thing. Pay for future talent,
coach Beer toad you. The second thing, pay for performance
when they play a big game is third thing, we
want to see great competition, and the fourth thing, pay
for staying at your school for four years. So simple,
it's all they have to do. They don't want to

(39:47):
share the revenue, so we get all the garbage. It's
E Sports Radio. We'll talk to you all on Monday.
God willing love you. I'm out.
