your life. So, Kyby, I'm going to just turn it
over to you. Everyone understands we have spoke about you, Cobby,
throughout this ordeal that you've gone through with the loss
of your leg and your issues.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
So I just want you to take it.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
You know, great Whitlock and all your friends and what
is transpired and what you're going through.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Well fighting some serious health that jeez, Jerry, I lost
my leg and now I mean that I was there
to losing my other one, which I probably will, but
I chose to to have hostess and not fight it.

(02:07):
I'm tired that I just want to make things easier
on my family. I'm my friends. You know, I don't
how long when it would be she said, a year,
you know, from from now, dul a year to six
months or something, But anyway, I've been thinking about the

(02:28):
show man. I really missed calling everybody. I miss you
guys that I miss you know I think you are
And for me, this is the only showed that I'd
ever listened to.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Govi Harrison. When you called my show, I had no
idea who you were.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
My high school coach Donnie Sallier said, do you know
who that caller was? I'm like, no, do you know
who Lisa Harrison was? I said, yes, it was Lisa
Harrison's dead I said, okay, I knew Lisa Harrison. Of course,
Alan Houston missed basketball. He says, you still don't know
who that is? I said, no. One of the best
baseball players ever in this city. One of the greatest

(03:05):
softball players with Bill Gaddy ever in this city, with
Greg Whitlocke and their teams. I knew about that. I
just didn't know about direct Kybe Harrison until your phone
called into my show.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Kaby what probably nine years ago, and Kyby, I just
want to think.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yeah, it's been that or ten years and we've got
a great relationship since then. And I love to show
you all right, love love your wife, shame up, but
a sweetheart, and all the people on the show, Miss
Miss Gwynn and all of them. I miss everybody, but

(03:44):
I'm gonna be me and to That's all I can say.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
You don't bet you, Covey, so Coffy let me. Everybody
has to know this. Cobby's in hospice care. We're having
a huge birthday party for you. He's doing great. Whitlock
and a grant Whitlock. All his friends walk in, and
of course, I mean, I'm talking about friends of sixty years,
and I have friends of ten years like Jerry, friends

(04:10):
for sixty years.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
They're going in. So of course I told Whitlock, I said,
you know what it is.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
What it is.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
If anyone's listened to our show, Anthony, you don't know this.
My son's on now. Copy which you've met Anthony. He's
gonna be a fireman. Cabby, You'll be really proud of Anthony.
You'll be really proud of him. He starts on September
the fourth. But Cobby and everyone. I walked up to
Cobby's bed. Cobby, tell him what I said to you,
Tell them what I said. Copy.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
At the point I.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Don't, I said, copy. I'm gonna get a win. Everyone knows.
I've told Kyby I was gonna take him out I said, Kyby, I.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Don't care what I get to win. I don't care.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
George Jorian said, oh, you're gonna get a man now.
I said, I'll get him anytime. I can't write copy.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yeah, right, when you walk buy a cast leak out
out and grab you Buke.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Tobby, you are so crazy, Kyby Harrison. I want people
to know.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yes, Kbby is staring what we all don't understand, the unknown.
He's looking at in the face. Kbby has been baptized. Kyby,
You're gonna have a great after life. But Cobby, what
a great combination that you've been. People have talked to
me about how funny you are, no question, how serious

(05:28):
you are at your softball games, your baseball games, no
question your dad's upbringing as a police officer to you,
just like my dad, I mean identical. No play did
not care, period point blank. You were wrong, You were wrong.
We were still bad, Kybby. We did things wrong, but
we can't put it on our fathers. We know our
dad's told us what was right always. My dad did

(05:50):
not care, period point blank. It was a right or
wrong situation. And Kyby, we just love you what you done.
I'm just so happy you called today, Cobby, tell me something.
It's football weekend. I want to get you scores, damn,
and forget all that we know where we are. Let's
get your scores.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Cobby, Texas Okay, Ohio State, Texas, Ohio State. Cobby, who wins.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Ohio State?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Give me a score of Cobby twenty seven, twenty one. Okay,
everybody's in that same range. Louisville e ku, Cobby. It's
a track meet.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Yeah, and you know, I just hope they all comes
to the quarterback play. They've got a decent quarterback. But
I'll say Louisville will score forty two points and they'll
give up seventeen.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Do you like Miller Moss, the new quarterback for Louisville
from USC You remember the kid that threw for the
seven six times?

Speaker 3 (06:56):
That was like playing out the duty and five guys
that game.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
After Cobby, you always keep it real, Cobby, Cobby. The
only bad thing is that when I say it, people
get mad at me. When you say it, Cobby, they're
scared of you. They're like, Cobby's right when I said.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Coley, get mad at me. You got to say things
and do things a certain way. I just let her lose,
Let her go, let her go.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Kentucky Toledo.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Toledo defeated Mississippi State, Cobby last year. First game, tough
game for Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
What do you think I think.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Kentucky have pulled out. I will say twenty four to fourteen.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Okay, LSU Clemson is Clemson back, Cobby.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
There's supposed to be a top five RANKEDEAM, number four
in the country preseason. What do you think club Nick,
which is Anthony my sensays he likes him as the
second best quarterback behind Manning.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
I don't really like the game, But if I bet,
if I had to choose, I take Clempson the close one,
twenty eight, twenty four.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Gotcha? Cool?

Speaker 2 (08:19):
So yeah, Commony, college football playoffs is here. The payment
of players. You haven't been on to talk about it.
The payment of players is here at Cobby for multiple sports.
Where do you think the environment of college athletics is
right now?

Speaker 3 (08:32):
I think it's it's in worst shipe it's been in.
I think it's nil. There's really turn everything upside down.
I mean, you just never know from game to game
or year to year, who somebody's gonna be with.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I just don't like it, Cobby, tell me this, the
most watched playoffs last year, Cobby, the most watched exciting,
I mean people really the most watching it ever, So
what do you think you think?

Speaker 4 (09:03):
You think there's not okay?

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Here's the question. We've always spoken, you.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Know, Coach bi Er and I we love I believe
in paying players. You've talked about paying players. It's just
how they've done it. What do you think, Cobby? I mean, Cobby,
it's a twelve billion dollar business last year college athletics.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
So paying the players that hadn't come sooner later? What's
the issue?

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Copy?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
What's the issue?

Speaker 3 (09:25):
You hear right on the head billion dollar player, pay
thing player. That's what the players need to get, not
to ben c double a, but they don't. It needs
to be spread out. I don't see how you can
pay a baseball player or a tennant player or any that.

(09:47):
I don't see how that can you know, and like
going down with Louell was going down with this number
one recruit for twenty six I mean other back and
forth and oh it amounts to fifty dollars one way
or the other. That could determine where he goes there

(10:09):
ain't the thing about sports. The other thing ain't about
money in sports, Jerry.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Well, no, that's fact. But it's a big key factor, Cobby.
It's not the only factor, but it's a key factor.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Ah, It's key factor, no doubt about it. And it'll
be the same. It's really gets gonna get bad basketball.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
I agree with comedy. Let's just let's be honest. You
and I.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
You know what you went through playing professional baseball. You
played basketball in high school. We've talked about all the stories.
You coach Beard and I, Oh, Paul Harning, We've all
been together, talked about all the stories.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Got me.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
You know that at the Oriel's Restaurant when we all
sat there together, had a ball copy the players what
we went through. Your body, I've got both history place
needs gone and I can go on Derek Smith what
his body went through and scoot McCrae yourself.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Cobby.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
It's not free what we do for the great fan
base of our universities. You know that it's not free, Cobby.
I mean it's a wear and tear on your body.
There should have been some compensation for you. The coach
of Beers of West Sun Sales, the Jerry eaves is.
But now it's gotten to be where it's funny money, Tobby,
because they didn't make decisions Kbby. They would have said,

(11:27):
five years ago, we're paying players the best play five star,
two fifty four star, two hundred certain degrees fifty Cobby.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
It would have been manageable. But they didn't. So again
it falls back to the leadership. Right or wrong.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Oh, definitely right, definitely right. But here I remember, well
we grew up. It was more than one sport. I mean,
as soon as I got done with baseball or football,
told right away to basketball, and then the baseball and
then if anything else I did dead. But I guess

(12:02):
my next move was a sex class.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
I had a good sex class, cobre, Cobby.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
That was never the only thing I here to get
something besides the d N.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Coby.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Hold up, Comy, hold up, no, Cobby, you've been on
the show with me, Anthony. You have to understand Cobby Harrison,
the old Roman, the winning his horse training at Church
of Down's history. Remember when Delle said, we can all
get an A in conduct, Cobby, if we all agree, Comy,
we both got as in conduct.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Yep, that's all. Oh, my bro, my book money wouldn't
buying orange and former stuff that I never read a
book when I was at mail.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Cobby.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
We're telling them stories. Ky We don't need to tell
them everything, Cobby. Stay on the line, Shannon. Take us
to break. We got the great Kybby Harrison. Stay with us,
Cobby as long as you can. When we come back,
have Anthony the young hotshot do the national news for us,
Cobby and let you pick it apart. Stay on the line, Cobby.
These words Radio, we got the one and only Kyby Harrison.

(13:20):
Anthony Eves are coming back with you after the break.
Welcome back to Eave Sports Radio. It is August twenty seventh,
twenty twenty five. It's Wednesday, hump Day. I hope that
the pillow is not winning. Kyby Harrison is up. I'm
up the young fella. Anthony's up. So Anthony, Kyby, we're
gonna throw it to.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
The young fella.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
But I just want you to know, Kypy, that will remark.
I'm gonna tell you this, Anthony, I'm gonna throw it
to any Cobby. When you grab me in the casket,
I'm gonna win.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Cobby.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
We'll just be wrestling. But Kyby, we're gonna be wrestling.
I just want you to know I'm not scared Kbby.
I know, Cobby, Oh, your sister we got. We'll talk
about your sister at the end. Anthony hit us with
some national news.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
Obviously one of the biggest things that we have is
a lot of Chiefs. Fans will be real excited when
they see Taylor Swift pay into the camera every fifteen seconds.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
Next year, God and Taylor Swift are engaged.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Now, Cobby, what do you think?

Speaker 4 (14:21):
I'm glad we got Cobby Ony?

Speaker 3 (14:25):
What too er?

Speaker 2 (14:28):
No, he they're engaged. He asked her to marry him.
They're engaged. Kyby who Kelsey? Kelsey tight end with the Chiefs,
you know, and Taylor Swift the big singing star.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
And but what's Anthony doing?

Speaker 1 (14:47):
What was that? What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (14:49):
What was that he doing?

Speaker 5 (14:49):
Cobby?

Speaker 1 (14:50):
What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Is he doing something or he has just given us
sports out?

Speaker 1 (14:57):
He does?

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Oh, he does, he does our national news. Hobby, we
keep him. He thinks he runs me. He thinks he
runs things, Cobby, So we have to keep him under wraps.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
I don't know better.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
That's okay.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
Look, I gotta keep the show entertaining. You know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (15:17):
That's why I'm here.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
I come out with great information, great news.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
He raises my ratings.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Covey, he raises man type that I haven't heard. Tell
me something I haven't heard.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
There you go in that world.

Speaker 7 (15:33):
Well, if you do want to know.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
Obviously, two players that were released that didn't make the
fifty three man rosters this previous weekend. Number one Desmond
Renner from Sandy Xavier was released from the Bengals as well,
and then also Hunter Renfro was released from the Carolina
Panthers my squad, which I'm frustrated about because I actually
like Hunter Renfro so that that hurt my feelings a
little bit.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
As Panthers fans.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Stop it right there, Stop it right there, Hantony, stop
it right there, Cobby, what do you think Desmond Rider was?

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Let go Santy your high school.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
He was limited, very limited on what he could do.
You know, he just couldn't get out of the bucket
and make things happen. I knew he wouldn't make it.
He wasn't gonna make it.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
No, I'm just glad that he had a shot. Cobby.
I think you stayed the league for four years, Anthony,
excuse me, three or four years?

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Cobby?

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Four sixteen touchdowns, fourteen interceptions, Cobby, in your opinion at
quarterback position, is it the hardest position in the NFL
to play the quarterback position?

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Your opinion most?

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Most definitely.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Then then in cornerback, yes, Oh, they're on an island
every play, Cobby.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
With some of the fastest human world.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
They gotta they gotta have six sizes in their head.
I mean they gotta watch everything.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Yeah, no, correct, so yes, uh one of my favorites.
That was let go Cobby.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
You may remember this name, Anthony, You know him, Hendon
Hooker was released by the Lions. You remember the quarterback
for Tennessee. He's North Carolina A and T. I knew
his dad, Cobby Greensboro boy.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yes, he was let go. Also, Anthony, I don't know
if you knew that, but that hindon' go yesterday?

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Well awesome start weekend?

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Darn next weekend, Cobby, Cowboys Eagles on Thursday night a
week from tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Yeah, yes, yes, exactly, finish up man. He gave us
some more national news.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
What's going on tennis wise, Anthony, Cobby may not have
watched tennis last night.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
You know, we got a lot.

Speaker 6 (17:47):
Honestly, Coco Golf did pull it off last night in
her set to one victory. It was a close one
though it was These matches have not been the greatest.
Coco Golf is ranked number three of the world and
I love watching in my African American athletes play, especially
in the tennis in.

Speaker 7 (18:02):
The golf round. But she leaves the w t A
in double faults at six point game. That's just not
a recipe for suss, especially when you're playing a higher competition.
You can't have seven double.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Flo You can't.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
I bet your walker seven guys. I mean, you gotta
be all you gotta be throwing a lot of stripes
for you know, seven walks in the game, you're more
like you lose if you're in.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
There and likely, Yeah, she was very fortunate to win
last night, Coco Golf. It was really really frustrating to watch.
But I'm sure he's fresh, able to serve and that
is the key to tenant and she's struggling. Also the
night before, Cobby, we watched Little Williams play Minus Williams

(18:52):
at forty five made a return. At least she want
to sit it was interesting. Of course she she ended
up losing the match, but she tried to stick her
toe in the water, so genness, I never Sheila has
beard numerous times. I've just never gone. But that's also.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Anthy And the dad's golf came done.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
Oh lord, you shouldn't have that.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
It's a Bysmore right now.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Oh Coby here, not right now. Just Thursday, I bounced back.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yesterday. I played well Yesterday, Anthony. Thursday, Thursday, I was
so bad. I wanted to I wanted to shoot myself.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Cobby Hey, but kyby Harrison, this is the true deal,
and he's listening.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
I'm not gonna call out any names. I had a
cat fan challenge me Cobby on air, so he came
and we played in an event. Uh, Damien Lee's golf
out he Cobby.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
He and I'm not gonna call him out.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
I'm gonna be nice. I'm gonna let him call in
and tell he himself. Mike, but Cobby, I put on
the display for them. They were upset. I had to
put on the display from Cobby. Yes, I did Cobby
with witnesses. Cobby, I have witnesses. But Thursday I played Cobby.
I wanted to put my clubs on eBay, my bag
on eBay. I wanted to burn my shoes, Jerry.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
I won't say that. Let them chips and stuff that'sby.
They just scramble.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Yes, the Cobby and if you that's what you said,
that we've got money, you know, you know, I don't wager, Cobby,
but we have money on the last hole.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
So Frankie my son drives that.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
We're at the Cardinal Club and the whole is about
three forty and honestly he drove it three hundred three
twenty because we're chipping twenty yards off. This is the truth, Peach.
We all chip, we're all got money on this. We don't,
but we do. We're talking stuff, Kabby. I chipped to
about eight feet and dropped the putt and looked at
all of them, Cobby, and.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Walked off like you just about Cobby.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
They had to call into the show to day after
and said, yes, I did. Everyone knows I'm telling the truth.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
I got him. That's what it coll.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
When it matters, exactly when it matters. So now look
here's the other deal. Anthet seven thirty two. Cobby, I
want you to think because we're gonna get to get
to break again. When we come back, I'm gonna talk
to you, Kabby and our listeners about these Dallas cowboys
and why I think that they're definitely barking up the
wrong tree. And I'm gonna prove to people why I

(21:41):
think that. Then we'll get you all his opinion. I
got the one and only Kaby Harrison, I mean, Kbby,
I just can't believe you call it into my show.
And guys, if you all knew what this man was
going through, he is the tank like I've always called him.
Love you, Kbby, got Anthony my son, love him.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Love you all for listening. We'll be back in a second.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Welcome back to the sports radio as any Kyby. I
was just going through some technical, good difficulties, that's all.
It's a difficult sometimes, but guys, Kyby, I appreciate you
sitting in and Kyby, I want to you for helping
me get. Of course, Billy Hayes is my number one
sponsor now Kyby for my auto section. A Bluegrass Automotive

(22:22):
has sold their dealership to Germaine Auto Group, which I'm
speaking with in a week or two, but Billy Hayes
has stepped in. Uh he Commonwealth Dodge in Town and Country. Kyby,
I've bought the best truck I've ever owned, the best
car I've ever owned. I bought a TRX from Commonwealth
Dodge that I absolutely love, Kyby. I mean I absolutely love.

(22:43):
It's the fastest car truck I've ever driven.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
It.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
It's got as much luxury as any car I've ever driven,
got all the options, and Kyby, I can throw you
in the back of the trunk and take you where
I want to take you. So it is a truck
and I love it. But I just wanted to make
sure Kenny Blatt and I see. I said, Kyle. I've
done my show from Kenny's chair at the podium and
I've told everybody come on down to Como of Dodge.
I've got the keys. I'm giving away cheap until we

(23:09):
get locked up. Come down and get them.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Kidding you After he's mentioned.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Yes we have a ball, Coby, but he's not there.
I'm there so early ahead and there yet, Cobby. I'm
absolutely sitting in his chair. I've been there twice. I've
done the show from his chair at the desk in
the showroom, telling everybody I got the keys. All you
have to do is come down here, make me an
all for Cobby and we'll drive away with it.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
So you take off.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Thank you for that, though, Coby. That connection now, Cobby,
here's the deal with Dallas Cowboys, Anthony, Dallas Cowboys. We're
waiting for Michael Parsons to sign. We know the Cowboys
go through this all the time. You know, Jerry just
loves the drama. Ezekiel Ellett and twenty nineteen signed on
September the fourth. Dak Martin the Great Opicton lineman in

(24:06):
twenty twenty three, signed at least August fourteenth, one month
before the season started. Cde Lamb last year in twenty
twenty four, signed on August to twenty eighth, one week
before the started. Dak Prescott twenty twenty fourth signed September
the eighth, one day before the first season started. Now
here we are with Parsons. Here's my issue for Cowboy fans.

(24:27):
My wife is a big Cowboy fan, and I used
to be a Cowboy fan. But I'm not anymore covey. Honestly,
I'm just not. I've got to find me a team
that I really pulled for. I'm a Jackson fan. I'm
a Lamar Jackson fan, but I really don't love the
raven I just like Lamar. People know that, so, but
my problem is this. I used to be a Cowboy fan.
Troy Aiightman, Emmitt Smith, Mike Irvin, Cobby Anthony notes this morning,

(24:53):
I said I wanted to give people the fact I
went to the NFL and had them off their catalog.
They raped the player, they rate the players okay, and
on Dallas Cowboys, the fourteenth best player was Cede Lance,
the sixteenth best player in the NFL ranked by the NFL.
This is not me. I don't want people calling me.

(25:15):
This is I got this off the NFL website. Was
Dak Prescott was sixteen seventeen? Was Michael Parsons last year?
You got me, Cobby. They had thirteen sixteen seventeen and
I didn't think they could win a playoff game. I
still don't.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Let's continue.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
Dak Prescott is the highest paid NFL player period playing
blame sixty million, Cobby. He passed Joe Burrows, who was
my last year's MVP. People kill me saying the Bengals
they were back. He doesn't play defense, dang it. He
can only do what he does and I was I'm
a Joe Burrows guy. He really I thought he was
MVP last year in front of Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

(26:00):
But of course Josh got it, which was five fifty
five million. He thinks five million more than Joe Burts.
Who's been in the super Bowl. Now, everybody forget now,
Yes they haven't been the Bengals have not been in
the playoffs, Coyby for three years. But Joe Burrows has
taken the Bengals to the super Bowl. Lamar Jackson hasn't
done that, and Josh Allen hasn't done that. Then you've

(26:22):
got Steedee Lamb. It's the second highest paid wide receiver
behind Jefferson, justin Jefferson, Ye, Michael Parsons. When it's all
said and done, it's going to be the highest paid
defensive lineman. And Kyby, like Anthony said, with his little
AAU team a long long, long time ago, and they suck. Tobby,

(26:43):
would you sign or would you sign and trade some
of these superstars? Do you think the Cowboys can turn
it around? They're gonna have over sixty percent of their
payroll and three players Kyve Rrison, do you think they
can turn it outwn No.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
No, don't Jerry. I used to be a Cowboys fan,
but the biggest problem with me, he's always been him.
Jerry's fading away. If he would turn the thing as well,
I mean the whole thing, give it to somebody, you know,
a general manager, a manager and everything, and just get
out of the way, go fishing. But just let somebody

(27:19):
else do all the work about getting players. I mean
his selects and of people and the ones he want
to give his money to is way out of line,
and that they can't win. They can't get in the
playoffs no matter what happens.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Gobby Dak Prescott I told people, and I want to
be fair with him. No one thought from Mississippi State
he would accomplish what he's accomplished, no one, not even myself.
And he's done a fantastic job. But he was a
much better player for the Cowboys when Zekiel it and
they had a running game. But for some reason, they
just said we're gonna get past Happy. He's got actually

(27:58):
got great sets, got me great sets. But they have
a hard time advancing in the playoffs. So kybby Jerry
for some reason, will not get out of the way,
and he's not going to kbby. He's the owner, he's
the general manager, he's the player person, the director, he's
the coach, I mean, Gobby, he's wont to be the
officials if they led him.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
I just saw.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
I'm really disappointed in the Cowboys, just because you would
have thought by now Jerry has had his heyday with
Jimmy Johnson, a coach that had controlled I was living
in Dallaston and Jimmy had controlled player person. Other decisions
were Jimmy's, not Jerry's. Well, all of a sudden, Jerry
had a problem with Jimmy, and we obvious see what's

(28:40):
happened since, I mean, that's all there is to it.
He's won one super Bowl without him with Jimmy's team
that won another one with Troy Emmett. They did. Who
was the coach from Oklahoma? Cobby what was his name?

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Got Lee?

Speaker 4 (28:52):
The coach from Oklahoma that came to the Cowboys and
won it that one year. Oh, come on, John, I'm
looking right at him, but you know what I'm talking about.
But yeah, and they won one, but they haven't won one. Stints, Cobby,
come on, Cowboys fan. If Jerry doesn't step aside. It
is what it is.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
He steps all the head people. He needs to get
out of there. He can't take it if his name
isn't in the headlines. He wants to be the main
topic a paper up, Cobby.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
He's got the number one franchise in America value wise.
The Cowboys are valued that over ten billions. The Celtics
sold a six point one billion. Cowboy's have valued at
ten billions. He's done it. He's a tremendous business man.
But you would have thought by now copy he and
his son would have looked at each other and said,
before we both die, we should try again the old way.

(29:51):
You have a coach control. So now they've got Schottenheimer's son,
we've got to wait and see what happens there. But again,
Jerry will be having press conference before the game is over,
telling people what happened. More people go to Jerry's press conferences,
and they will Shotenheimer's press conferences. Cobby. I just don't
see anything good happening for the Cowboys. My wife hates it.

(30:12):
She's gonna hate me for saying it. They've got a
chance this year. Their first four or five games are winnable,
but they've got to stretch Coby where they're gonna lose,
honestly every game. And I just don't know what you
do other than do what Jimmy Johnson did when he
traded hershel Walker. Trade everybody. Get as many draft picks
as you can. Cobby draft correctly, get young talent in

(30:35):
here and give them a chance to win when you
can load him up with good veterans at key positions.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
He's almost like the Cincinnati Red They refuse to spend
enough money and only like three players art are really
getting in the you know, the playoff race, but they
refuse to do it. They're close.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Reds are improved. You a copy. I've been keeping the
Reds out of my mouth because they say I jin
some for Cobby. The Reds are close this year.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
Yeah, this big post gets you nothing. Yeah, An, what's
Colin horse shoes? That's Collins?

Speaker 4 (31:22):
There you go copy there, you well copy. We're gonna
get to our last break when we come back. I'm
gonna hit you when since we're talking about that with
some questions about the one and only my favorite football player,
Lamar Jackson, and when will he get it done? Cobby,
We've always talked about winning. Paul Horney, which Beard, Cobby Harrison,

(31:45):
Jerry's I didn't accomplish at their level, your level, but
I do have a Nacy championship. Copy. Sooner or later,
you have to win, a big winning and I want
to get your opinion on Lamar and a big Winny.
This is the sports radio I got copy Harrison the line.
I know Anthony's on his way to work, so proud
of Anthony. Start with the Louisville the police department, I

(32:05):
mean fire department, and that is briduat as a policeman,
the louis of Saint Matthew's fire department. That's on September fourth,
do your very best, I mean goes guys. People wouldn't
be policemen for anything in the world. All they do
a sagreement with the police. You all know I don't
roll over. Yes, the police must follow the rules. Guy's period,

(32:26):
point blank. I'm an African American. Yes, they're arrested in
the African American communities. The grape they do that. The fact,
it's a fact. There's no line to me. I know
the truth. But at the same time, what an honorable profession.
People that take that profession have to want to serve people,
and I'm just so proud of my son. So I'll
be back with Kyby Harrison after the break. Welcome back

(32:48):
to the Sports Radio seven point fifty. If you need
to be there at eight, you should be close. Give
your employer a great day's work today, Kyby Harrison. Tell
me now, both LAMARGI for he Jerry got it. But
you know we both love Lamar and we have watched
him grow as a quarterback in the NFL, which people

(33:10):
said he would never do. Never do I want to
say again ever to where he's been two times MVP,
he will be a Hall of famer, no question the copy.
He has not been able to play his best when
it matters the most.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
What do you think needs to happen? Well, I mean, Jerry,
you know always say I'm a firm believer on them.
You make yourself a name and all the awards. You
played good when the lights are wrong, Lamar never has played.
They've never let him lose in these big, big playoff games,

(33:49):
and he hasn't been. He hasn't been. I don't know
if you I don't think you're scared, Butry, he's scared
to make mistakes and you know yourself. Jerry, You've gotta
be able to step in there right or wrong and
diving there and give it up. If you missed one,
you missed them. But you can't play scared of anything.

(34:13):
You got play lose and lets your talent take over.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Got you so because yes, Kyby last year's game, first half,
two turnovers, miserable mistake, second half, best player on the field,
not close, everyone could see it. But Cobby that And
I want you to understand, Paul Horny, Kybby, Harrison, Butitch Beard.
I just get to listen. It was just so much
fun getting them to talk about the great games, talking

(34:40):
about their coaches, Instombardi, how they won championships. He and
coach Beard. What you did, Cobby when you coached your
teams to championships? I mean, Cobby, winning it is the
hardest thing in the world to do. Explain that to
people winning it at any level. When you say you
won it from AAU the national Championship are the NFL
champions It's a hard thing to do. Come all, I

(35:04):
have no idea I played well the taken half. I
did take a Louisville game. Other than Darryl, I was
the best player on the floor. I don't know why
or how, but I did.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
What's the key, Well, I think the key is Number
one is Jerry. You gotta have a heart of want
to win. You've got to have it inside of you. Now,
there's a whole lot of players. They look good on
Friday when you're playing Paul's Bakery, when they win fifty
seven to twelve. You want these guys if when he

(35:35):
goes to you know each week when you're progressing, you
got to progress too and get better. You can't sit
back there and let the other team dictate what's going
to happen. I've always been a firm believer of taking
it to the other team, and when I get ahead
of them, I never want to beat somebody by twenty

(35:57):
to five. I don't want to run it up. I
want to get it in their throw.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
That has been your attitude forever. They spoke about that
at your birthday party. You would be after players. You
all have thirteen runs and you're screaming at him at
the end, saying that was a mistake we can't make.
I mean, that's just who you are.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Tell me something.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
I think now the Ravens have what they need Derrick
Henry is the running back. Yes, Mark Andrews had a
tough drop last year, but still Mark Andrews is one
of the best. And he've got white receivers now, yes, yes,
he got good wide receivers. Cobby Evens is there. They're
one of the top three teams to win it. Do
you think Lamar can get it done this year?

Speaker 3 (36:41):
I think Jerry Wist is gonna be his year. And
I've said just I thank that Lamar wins one here,
Barron win two or three. And the kid really wants
to win. And boy, I mean I'll see fiction. I
mean he's there hisself up from a boy. He's a

(37:02):
grown man now, I mean a grown man.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Right.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
That's the part that I've liked as an athlete, Kyby,
to watch him improve when people said he couldn't pass,
he can. He's had a season of only four quarterbacks
ever in the NFL last year forty touchdown, five interceptions.
But Cobby, the key is that he says That's why
I've been critical. A lot of people are like, he's
so hard on Lamar, which I'm not. Everybody knows I

(37:29):
love him, but he says he wants to win a
Super Bowl, so I got to hold him to the standard.
Daryl Griffith said he wanted to win the national championship,
right Kyby Daryl said that, and why people criticized him
for that. You have to and you say it, that
is something that you have to accomplish that you know.
I have to hold him to. So I'm looking forward
to it, looking to hold him to what he wants

(37:51):
and we can see the improvement. If he didn't won
a Super Bowl championship, he would have never improved to
the level. He'd have stayed his second or thirty year.
I'm a starter and then feel everybody thought I wouldn't
do this, and he had a flattened out, which he
has not done. He's improved, So Cobby, we're gonna have
to wait and see.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
That's all.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
But I'm gonna tell you what. Joe Burrows and Cincinnati
is good. Josh Allen MVP last year is good. That
man called Patrick Mahomes is the second coming to Brady.
He's really good. And we keep selling the Eagles short
and Jalen hurts. Cobby. I don't know why people do
not give Jalen his due. They don't, but he is

(38:29):
really good.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
Been in the Super Bowl. On average person can't name
four other players on the Eagles team besides Hurt. They
just don't have a big name superstar. But they have
the one thing I said, they got a team.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
They got a team. They really do. Don't sell the
Lions short, Cobby, without all the injuries last year, the Lion.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Like I mean, he reminds me of Meal there. I mean,
I love know just chances up thirty yard line. I
ain't worried about it. I mean he wants really bad.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
He does.

Speaker 6 (39:08):
So.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
Hey, I can't wait for the season to start. Texas
out and Ohio State can't wait for this weekend. College
football's here. Last statement, Cobby, Kentucky anything they can do.
They've got the fourth company schedule in the country. Because
Mark stoops, you got thirty seconds, Kyby can stoop save
his job?

Speaker 3 (39:27):
No, No, he'd better get that luggage and start shigning it.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
Comyre, there you go, Covin love you brother, Thanks for
calling in, Cobby, truly, thank you man for everything you've
done for Esports Radio. And we'll talk to you again. Guys,
we got all our tame scores. Then tomorrow and Friday.
Talk to you later. Love your Coby, Bye, Bye,
