Let me just tell you first and foremost, though, we
had a fantastic day. Tony Delk, Mike Vines, golf outing
and Big Springs went perfectly. It was a little warm,
Scott got a little warm yesterday, but it was nice
and a lot of players ran, took a lot of pictures,
spoke to a lot of people. Of course, I'm going
to get a few of the guys back on my

show that were there yesterday. But there's one person that
will be on next week. We haven't decided the day
I'm gonna talk to him.

Probably one of my favorites, and it's the first time
that we got to sit down to just chit chat
after the golf outing yesterday. Probably one of the best
athletes' most explosive Kenny sky Walker will be on the

With the Knicks and also with Wildcats, that boy was explosive,

We had Wiley Brown, Milkwagger, myself, Herb Crook, Chris West,
Roger Burtman, and they had Kenny Skywalker who played a
little bit, Winston Bennett places a little bit, but Tony Dill,
I mean just there were so many hooks come on
my mind, as reed Shepherd. Who else was there for

Kentucky that I bumped into that.

I got a tense Rex Chapman, of course, come on,
my man, King Rex and I we're gonna we're gonna
chop it up again. He said, we can't wait. We're
gonna chop it up again too. Also, I had rerex
on when he put his publisher's book, So Rex. But
it was a great time. Raised a lot of money
for a lot of charities, a lot of schools, Tony
Delks Foundation.

So it went really, really, really well. So it was
a good day. It really was a good day.

I'm so glad you asked and I did not set
that up. You'all are all gonna say Jerry set it up. Scott.

A Cardinal group. The Cardinal Group one, we had Kenny Payne,
he was our a player he could really play. Got
who else that could really put Scott didn't play bullying? Now, Scott,
I played pretty good, being honest, I had four pars,
got four pars, and I three putted eight times, which
is my strength. Now, if I went to three punted,

Scotty out to play really well.

Who else played really well?

Hold on? Hold on? Three putting eight times is not
your strength.

Scotty's putty has been my strength this year golf. Sometimes, Scott,
I'm telling you, some of the greens were like putting
on wood. Some of the greens were like putting on asphalt.
And I mean, it was a perfect day, beautiful, But Scott,
the balls are stopping.

I'm like, I couldn't get the ball.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
To the hole for a par for anything in the world, Scott,
I could not get the ball to the hole for par.

I was leaving it halfway. It was embarrassing, frustrating.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Now a part of the last whole part five Scott
played it perfectly five point forty, had a birdie putt
about fifteen foot birdie putt, walked away with the easy part.
But I'm telling you, I just could not put it all.
I could not so But Scotty I've got the trophy upstairs.
Let me say this to you again, all Wildcat fans,
I got the troph don't try to break in the house.

I got alarm system. I have the trophy upstairs. I
have to bring the trophy back, Scott, Tony dunkin. I
ad the end. They say, winning team. Of course, I
had to collect the winning walk up, put my arm
around Tony Delk with a big smile. He had a
red shirt on. A donor said he had to wear
a red shirt and the donor would donate like ten

or fifteen thousand dollars.

Had a red shirt on.

He was saying, but look, he says, it's embroidered in blue.
I said, I want to hear that. I said, We've
now got Tony Delk on the cardinal side.

I have my arm around him and had I had
the trophy right in front of him.

Oh, Tony was hot. So next year.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
We're gonna run it back, Scott. We're gonna run it back.
It was really good. It was a really good event.
It really was. So it was Oh, Chris Redman can
really play day near two hundred thousand bucks.

Yeh, yes, exactly.

And I mean, I think I'm doing great when I
can break that seventy thousand mark. They raised over two hundred,
so I don't know, I'm gonna have to do something.

everything went well.

But trophy. I have the trophies.

I just want all the Wildcats to know the Cardinals
own the trophy. Between Kenny and Redman. It's unfair and honestly,
Michael Bush wasn't there, but everyone knows Michael Bush is scratch,
the running back for Male High School. I went to
Louis Oh God played pro Oh. I mean, he's really good.

So anyway, the Wildcats went, that's all that matters.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Are they gonna move Are they gonna move to? Of
course in Lexington next year?

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I don't know.

But is it going to be like the Ryder Cup
where you kind of go.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Back without it? We should do that. I know we're
going to run it back. We're definitely going to have another,
there's no question. I'm not sure the details, but that
was something that had been thrown out, which will be

were there the entire time.

And this is facts. People. Wiley Brown pulls up on
me three times on the tea box driving. He said, Eves,
if I see any of the stuff I've seen out
these other players, I'm gonna whip you, I said, Brown,
don't even worry about it. Those days are over, Scotty.
He pulled up three times. He and Milk. I piped
it down the middle three times, at least two forty

every time he left out and said, I hate to say,
just like I hated to say.

You can play basketball, you can't hit the golf ball.

Illinois IU really good game, Bowling Green at Louisville, Illinois
at IU, Bowling Green at Louisville, Florida at Miami. Miami's
going to beat the brakes off of them. We'll have
to see those, Scott, and Auburn at Oklahoma number twenty four,
Auburn at number thirteen Oklahoma. Kentucky has a bye week.

Those are the four games. So Scott, we're at seven sixteen.
We're gonna get the break. You can start to call in,
get your scores in, guys. Everybody loves the rushing at
the end. I don't know why first caller gets to
dictate which game is the key game. And we're gonna

Man, they are heating up. You're the team, the team
that you can't say and can't talk about. Are two
games out the Cincinnati res it one last night eleven
to six. So the two games behind the Mets, and
the Mets are are kind of struggling. They're limping of
the playoffs, struggling, struggling. They you know, they're for the

money that they have invested in that team. They should
not be in this position. But you know, yeah, you know,
Tyler Stevenson had a big game last night. South Stewart
another player who played really well. And you know the

big thing with them is their bullpen and their pitching.
You know, they can get consistent with their bullpen and pitching.
You know, their their starters, I'm sorry, their starters in
their bullpen, then you know they'll be in much much
better shape. But they're they're getting there. You know, there's
twelve games left in the regular season, only two games out,

so you know, as long as they can keep that
momentum moving in the right direction, they're doing well. Looking
at at some predictions here and the chances of them
making it, you know, you go online and they have
like the betting odds of if they're going to make
the playoffs, and right now they're you know, some have

them at seventeen percent chance of making the playoffs. But
then there's a thing that says, if Jerry Eaves continues
to talk about the Reds, they only have a yah
of making a playoffs.

I'm keeping them out of my mouth. I'm just following

that's all.

adds a lot of excitement to whichever baseball city it is,
and it, you know, keeps hope alive for everybody. You know,
So as long as you're you're not out and you're
still in it, you know, you there is still some excitement.

do you think how does that play out for the
ACC when everyone thought Clemson was a surefire top four
