Simmons College of Kentucky. It's critical. Of course, all charities
need your giving. I've said it before and I'll say
it again. My dad taught me a long time ago.
Charity starts at home. But when you can and do
have the ability to give, this is the day. All

you will see all quite a few charities you have
to select. It's your choice. I'm hoping that anyone that

a millionaire to help. That's a misconception. There are more
of us than them, and twenty five dollars can really help.
So if you can, if you could give the sevens

That's what I do Christmas time. I'll give honestly, fifty
dollars to numerous charities. I don't give it to one.

to the Division one program, Who's going to be the
McDonald's All American. It's the person that just continues to
strive and works we'll be doing our second of course,
we're going back to Ballard Nation. You all understand that's

into the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame. It's

at the schools academically, socially, what's going on with the
students and our school systems. We don't ever get the

doing this eleven years now. They're hot topics. It's passionate,
it gets people's attention. But sometimes we just have to
find out the mundane things that are happening. So we're

you all a personal perspective from Jason Whitlock to Stephen

So let's just back this up first and foremost quickly.
Jason Whitlock not a friend of mine steven A, who
is a friend of mine. Both both said that Lamar
Jackson would never be a quarterback. Let's just understand. So
when we're listening to people, both publicly, I can run

the takes for you all day long. He would never
be Whitlock said, Lamar will never be a starting quarterback.
And then the mill you got me so now here
seven years later. What a great guy to learn from. Okay,
and I give you all that. You know, you don't
have to stand by what you said, but I'm with that.
Everybody makes a mistake, Okay. But the deal is this.
I came out in nineteen eighty two. The Balton Celtics

pick at the time. It's a second round pick now.
And there was a high probability they were going to

good player, Jerald Henderson very good player. They had three
top quality guards. Okay, maybe I could have been the
fourth guard. Maybe not. But the Utah Jazz had Ricky Green,
Daryl Griffith. They had Their third guard was Babey Duran.
He was a first round pick from Georgetown the same
year that Daryl Griffith came out. They took Daryl Griffith

and Baby Duran. But in my perspective, mine, I cannot
play Baby and Durham and I did. I beat Baby
out guaranteed contract. The third year of his guaranteed contract,
they cut him and kept Jerry Eves. I was hoping
I didn't get drafted by the Celtics. My good friend,
his name is Perry moss ll can go look at

the draft. Gets drafted fifty third to Boston, a six
foot one more of a scoring guard than a point
guard that I was. And Boston wanted more of a
scoring combo guard and they wanted a pure point guard.
They took Perry Moss, did not take Jerry Eves. Thank
you Lord. Perry Moss got cut, never played a day

in the NBA, never made the Celtics roster. He was
a good player in my opinion. He wasn't better than
I was, but he was a good player. I liked him.
I knew him well from Baltimore, played with him a
lot in the summer. I was lucky that Boston said
no to go say you're gonna sit behind Lamar the

only way anyone quarterback is gonna play at Baltimore for
the next five to seven years. As if Lamar Jackson
gets hurt period. Same thing with Josh Allen. I'm not
even gonna say Joe Burrow's my man. I hate that
because he's injury prone. I'm not gonna say his name,
but he's one of those. Also, Patrick Mahomes is one
of those. Also, why do you want to get drafted there?

If they don't get injured, which means you're hoping on
a dream, then dang it, you never play or I
go to Cleveland, which is I love Joe Flacco's Super
Bowl guy. Now, come on, I'm not knocking, but he's forty.
I'm not knocking, but the bottom line is he's forty
years old. If I had a choice between when I

go to Cleveland and fight for a position with Dylan Gabriel,
Joe Flycco, myself, I'll have gone to Cleveland. I'm just
telling you my personal perspective. Thank you Lord that the
Boston Celtics did not draft Jerry Eves and the Utah
Jazz did. Which one is a better friendranchise the Boston
Celtics by far. But guys, you gotta make the team.

You've gotta look and weigh your options. I had no choice. No,
I would have gone to Boston, been happiest I could be,
and I would have tried my heart out to make
the roster. But looking at it, I had a much
better chance of playing, which I did for the Utah Jazz.

is the right tackle is like a turnstile. The guy
literally he should almost lay down to slow down guys.

four edge rushers are really good, so I think they're

three and five step stuff. They can't do five step
drop backs these defensive ends. I mean, they might have
to call the ambulance by halftime. But I think Miami.
It's a rivalry game. They'll be twenty thousand Florida fans

Florida grads and they got nothing to lose here. This
might be the game. I don't if you remember some
of the Miami Florida State games where Florida State would

be Whitlock said, Lamar will never be a starting quarterback.

seven years later. What a great guy to learn from. Okay,

I came out in nineteen eighty two. The Balton Celtics

pick at the time. It's a second round pick now.
And there was a high probability they were going to
take me. No, I did not tell them to take

year that Daryl Griffith came out. They took Daryl Griffith

and Baby Duran. But in my perspective, mine, I cannot
play Baby and Durham and I did. I beat Baby
out guaranteed contract. The third year of his guaranteed contract,
they cut him and kept Jerry Eves. I was hoping
I didn't get drafted by the Celtics. My good friend,
his name is Perry moss ll can go look at

the draft. Gets drafted fifty third to Boston, a six
foot one more of a scoring guard than a point
guard that I was. And Boston wanted more of a
scoring combo guard and they wanted a pure point guard.
They took Perry Moss, did not take Jerry Eves. Thank
you Lord. Perry Moss got cut, never played a day

in the NBA, never made the Celtics roster. He was
a good player in my opinion. He wasn't better than
I was, but he was a good player. I liked him.
I knew him well from Baltimore, played with him a
lot in the summer. I was lucky that Boston said
no to go say you're gonna sit behind Lamar the

only way anyone quarterback is gonna play at Baltimore for
the next five to seven years. As if Lamar Jackson
gets hurt period. Same thing with Josh Allen. I'm not
even gonna say Joe Burrow's my man. I hate that

of those. Also, why do you want to get drafted there?

like Diego Pavia. He just moves his team. He wills

and now he's at Oklahoma. They're a different team and Auburn,

I mean, you know, they get the old Oklahoma quarterback
and now he's coming back to play in Oklahoma. So
here's maybe the difference here in the edge Oklahoma, it's
at home. That's that's playing at home is Southeast Conference.
I mean almost every single place, even Mississippi State is

a tough place to play and friend bever defensive sake bills, yep. Yeah.
So so he probably has a really good idea on
what Jackson Arnold is all about, and he'll have some
bl blitz schemes that are the difference. And maybe they

have a little bit better you know, running game, and
Auburn had success against Baylor a little bit more not
by design broken plays. So I'm gonna take Oklahoma here.

So NC State plays hard and as a FA as
a favorite, not good as an underdog. Much much better
they This is our second straight road game. They don't
have to travel very far at all, you know, eight
ten miles up the road. I think the problem here
is their defense, or suspect defense is going to fail them.

I always say you want players at each level. You
want to have a stud defensive line who can make
a sack or knock down a pass, a defensive linebacker
who can make a tackle let's say on a screenplay
or on a stretch running play before the sticks, and
a defensive back who can you know, defend pass or
you know, lock down one side so they have to

go to the other side. I don't think that they
have that. So they're allowing two hundred and ninety seven
passing yards per game. That's Duke's bread and butter. Darien
Mensa quarterbacks he's throwing for our thousand and thirty six yards,
eight touchdowns, two interceptions to three games, and Duke is
desperate coming off consecutive losses. I mean, they had to

play really good, underrated Illinois team who's really good offensive
and defensive lines, and they beat you up and they
warm out eventually. They've been also a little bit unlucky.
Lost five fumbles. That's a lot to lose in three games,
and that's something that the wolf Pack has yet to force,
not even one fumble. I like Duke here, wrong team

favored thirty eight twenty seven. The Dukies finally get off
the schneid here in a conference game and upset undefeated
NC State.

on Billy Napier keeping his job with Florida and Miami

So I think Miami's good, really good. Top five. I
don't know if they're number one or not. I mean,
I was shocked at Danny Canell, former Florida State and
NFL quarterback, had them number one. He has a weekly
top five pole. He's not a Miami lover. He's a
Miami hater, so I understand the rivalry and everything. So
I was shocked when he had him number one. So

that's some respect there. But the problem for Florida State
is the right tackle is like a turnstile. The guy
literally he should almost lay down to slow down guys.
That's whatever he's doing is completely wrong. Miami's three or
four edge rushers are really good, so I think they're

gonna have to shorten the drops to a lot of
three and five step stuff. They can't do five step
drop backs these defensive ends. I mean, they might have
to call the ambulance by halftime. But I think Miami.
It's a rivalry game. They'll be twenty thousand Florida fans
of the sixty five thousand. Miami is a hotbed for

Florida grads and they got nothing to lose here. This
might be the game. I don't if you remember some
of the Miami Florida State games where Florida State would
try reverses or run one way and throw the ball
back to Dexter Carter and he'd run for a touchdown
against Miami to open the game. I think they're gonna
empty the playbook here Florida, and their defense hasn't been bad.

I mean it was the five interceptions they outplayed LSU.
You throw away those interceptions, so it's not gonna be
the moment too big for them. I think Miami wins
this game twenty seven to four, seven a half points
a lot a lot in the rivalry game, I think
Fida is either going to be in it right to
the end, or maybe they even get a backdoor touchdown.
They could be down ten ten points in Miami sits

might get off the field a couple of times here,

Last week's Baltimore Cleveland game was one of the weirdest

that's the Ravens. Watching all the mistakes throughout the game
drives me nuts. I'm just I can't be comfortable with them.

Detroit has not played well on grass or their speed
team and Jamar Gibbs and obviously the receivers. These are
speed guys, so it slows them down a little bit here.

game here For Baltimore, the Lions are ten and two
though in their primetime games under Dan Campbell, and I
think they kind of got their mojo back in the
last game and their pass rush first game. They just
Green Bay just hit them from the beginning, punched them,
and sometimes you punch a team and it's just not
their day. Wasn't their day, didn't have a sack, had

three last week, looked good and probably the last team
with the ball wins. That's the case. You know, you're
laying six points, that's a lot.
