Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome back to Eve Sworts Radio. Yes it is, Thank
god it's Friday. The only reason is because it's high
school football night. We're having our second Simmons College High
School game day. Of course, I'm at the one and
only Ballard Nation. You all understand, we're worldwide. That's all
there is to it. The best school in the city
(00:21):
of Louisville. I don't care about Saint Xavier and Trinity,
the Dark Side Mill High School. I took care of
derographer them, Bobby Turner forty years ago. Forty five years ago,
I took care of them. So I just want you
to understand Ballard has ruled the roost forever. So we're
sitting in a beautiful studio inside of Ballot High School.
(00:42):
I wish they had this when I was coming through.
I may have grown up to be something. And like
Director Baker, we've got Coach King sitting over there, ready
jumping at the bit. We'll be getting you on Coach
King very soon. Hit football coach at Ballad High School.
One of his players out of side two, taking you down.
He doesn't have enough in his pants. I'd have gotten
(01:04):
to him.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Coach.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
He's pretty elusive, he's pretty elusive. Yeah, anyway, we've got
Jared Baker sitting in with us. Jared, appreciate you sitting
in with us.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Ain't no problem, no problem, glad to be here.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Hey, baby, your n athletic director of Ballad High School.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
I am you got a great job, one of the
best job in the city, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Other than Simmons Scuts of Kentucky. This is the only
other job I'd ever want to even think about.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Well, apply, let's do this.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
You know, when I leave Simmons, I'm going to the
hiatus Florida here I come. But anyway, we've got a
football game. Great game tonight, Ballard fern Creek. It was
supposed to have been at fern Creek. Tell me, mister Baker,
what happened to the track the football field at fern Creek.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
So football, he's won two three? What's going on?
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yeah, So fern Creek, Male, Wagner, DAWs and Manuel were
in Phase two. Just got delayed and behind on the
construction project. So Milla Jaspists are behind with the turf.
I know Male's playing tonight. I know Widner got cleared
last week, so they're starting to play games on their field.
So I believe fern Creek is still maybe a month away,
(02:09):
DAWs is still pretty far away, and then Mayniel should
be as also as playing as well. So three the
five are playable. They're not completely done. I think they
have a couple of track issues. Can clean up some
construction on there.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
See.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I tell everyone fern Creek High School is where we
defeated Male High School Bobby Turner Daryl Griffith that one
of the greatest high school teams ever in the state
was at fern Creek in their new gymnasium at the time,
which was what nineteen seventy six seventy seven got Lee
long time ago.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
So I've got five memories of fern Creek High School.
I really do. But anyway, welcome to the show.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
We've got two callers, of course, everybody, you must get
your scores in today easy money. I'm gonna bring on
my first caller, the one and only. He is my man,
but I don't like him as a wildcat.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
It is what it is. Bring Rod on the show
for me.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
Rick, Hey, Ryan, good morning. Other than Kentucky.
Speaker 6 (02:59):
You're all right, hey, let me ask you something since
you out at the pig Farm, you're frying up any
of the bacon.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
This blow down on the pig farm stuff. Slow down.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
He's a male Bulldog fan, so you have to understand that. Now,
I really don't like it. He's a wildcat and a
male bull dog. I took care of you on that
Fern Creek back in nineteen seventy six. Just remember that. Hey,
your wife probably remembers that. Your wife remembers.
Speaker 6 (03:23):
That scareful about that Fern Creek stuff. She's a Hall
of Famer, you.
Speaker 5 (03:27):
Know, exactly. No, Patty's the real deal.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I don't like you, okay.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
So anyway, No, we're not frying up any bacon. Coach
King callers call in because I pushed a ballot so
hard and they talk about we're a pig farm and
they're gonna fry up all the bacon and those kind
of things from mail Bulldogs. You understand, I hold my
own coach trusts me. So Ran, let's get to.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
It, Billy.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
We've got high school game day. We have got, of course,
our college games. We've got Auburn out Oklahoma, which is
the key game. What's your score?
Speaker 6 (04:03):
H Have you got a thirty three twenty one in there? Indiana?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Let me.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Look, no, no, no, no, we're starting with Oklahoma Alburn.
That's first game run.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
The game is okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm okay,
I misspoke. Okay, you got a thirty three twenty one Oklahoma.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Let me see you said thirty three. No, thirty three
is the only score. No, you're fine, gotch Let's go
get me Bowling Green Louisville.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
Let's go to bowling Oh are you getting in the
briars wish with me?
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Are you scared always? I'm never scared of you always.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
So you're saying fifty four?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
God, I just don't believe in these teams fifty four
total points. I've been with the over. I'm gonna stay
with the over. So I'm going thirty four twenty one.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
I got the old.
Speaker 6 (04:55):
Okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Now let's go to Bowling Green at Louisville. That's attract me,
track meet, that's all that's gonna happen.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
I don't think so, Jerry.
Speaker 7 (05:03):
You don't think there's gonna be a lot of I
don't think there's gonna be as many points scored as
everybody thinks there is. Okay, so I'm gonna take I'll
take Louisville.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
Thirty eight ten, thirty eight.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Ten as only as coach bron pulls the gas pedal
off in the forties for sure in the forties.
Speaker 8 (05:27):
Well, I mean he should.
Speaker 6 (05:29):
I mean Ballart's playing a tougher schedule than Louisville this year.
Speaker 9 (05:35):
Stop, hey, drop here, he's not lying, Coach Bank, you
a'll get that here, and he says Ballard's playing a
tougher schedule.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Look, look, let's just move on.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
I don't like you anyway it look go ahead, are
you right?
Speaker 6 (05:55):
I won't take IU twenty eight twenty one?
Speaker 5 (05:59):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Are you twenty eight twenty one?
Speaker 6 (06:02):
Yeah? And the score doesn't really matter, does No?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
It doesn't matter. But I think Illinois wins the game
number nine. I just don't like Indiana. They're gonna have
to prove to me that they can beat a good team.
So Saturday is their day, the last game, which is
a good game. I think Billy Napier, if he gets routed,
he loses his job.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Florida at Miami. Miami is good this year. Run they are.
Speaker 7 (06:23):
Yeah, I've gotta take Miami here thirty one twenty one, okay.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Thirty one twenty one?
Speaker 5 (06:29):
Gotcha?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Got you down, brother, appreciate your round. Where's where's the
Hall of Famer police? The Fern Creek High School Hall
of Famer.
Speaker 6 (06:36):
She's at work right now.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Okay, so you're gonna give me her scores?
Speaker 10 (06:40):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Can I text them to you?
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Yeah? Text them to me. That'll be fine.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
Yep, Okay, problem. Appreciate your run.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Thank you, Bron, Bye bye.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
If you all don't know the phone number, it is
five year old two five seven one seventy nine hundred.
This is of course Eve Sports Radio Sports Talk seven
ninety k r D. So now I'm back to mister Baker.
Got my head coach over there. I'm usually in his
way on the sideline, yelling at the officials. He has
not kicked me off. I was at the toy flip
(07:10):
of the male game. I was getting ready to say hands.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
And then awful.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
I am sixty six and I tell everyone my high
school days were my best days. I love Ballad, I
love everything that happened here. I love my friends, Martin Dunbar,
James Howard, James Hanley, all my good friends that I
went to school with, my teammates, Jeff. I don't speak
to Lee much, but Jeff lamp and I who's on
(07:36):
the wall with me at least three times a year.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
What's going on? Richard Smith?
Speaker 1 (07:41):
We had a big thing for him, probably two years ago,
maybe three years ago. We brought him back here and
his wife, coach Sallyer. I mean everyone, oh, oh, he
finally shows up. Bring you snooze button, put dead and
put the mic on. So tell me what has to
transpire before we bring on your football coach? What do
(08:03):
you think is going on with our football program right now?
Winning three, struggling a little bit. Uh, he understands, just offensive.
I mean this gotta get on the same page. He said,
he's got a young offensive line, quarterback situation has been
up and down. Just try to find plays that work
and try to string to get a few plays and
score a few points. I think once you get scoring,
(08:23):
it's like a snowball fed. They'll get rolling and the
defense is playing lights out right now. So I mean
scoring twenty one to twenty eight points a game. I
mean he'll probably be three in one, And.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
To be honest with you, if if, if our starting
quarterback is in a couple more games, I think we
are three and one.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
This flip could be the descript to be flipped.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
And we're talking about being top five in the six
A and talking about making a deep run of the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
So he made a deep plays away from.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Being great win over Mail last year, improved each game, yes,
coaches showing.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
No the playoff game. I mean it was just what
he plays. He would grind it out, made a few
plays at the end and I mean later running in
for the touchdown. It's pretty fun.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Only problem at the male game, Georgelliams is with us.
Ron just left to his a mail bow dog. His
whole family goes to mail the caller, George, let's to
be honest. When they called defensive past interference on that
end zone pass that Will Chamberlain couldn't have caught on
a ladder, the flag came out, I'm like, get out
(09:20):
of here, George. Tell the truth. The reps were not
working with us. They were not working with this, George.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
They cheated Vallor.
Speaker 10 (09:27):
In fact, at ny war Milk. I mean, I mean
I was crying in here, man, Come on, I mean
I came in here. I mean you know, I mean,
ain't like, yeah, zacht the country. But you know, Jay,
you gotta look at it.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
Jae. You know they did what they had to do.
Speaker 10 (09:42):
I was cheated, I coach. I want you to know that,
you got assistant coach him. Man, this guy walks him
down the sideline. He don't have no headphones on and stuff.
He's calling every play, He's calling all the calls. That's
why I won't accept that. The refereemans your coach. Shit,
anything that went wrong. You were gonna Chris side the.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Referees before you got here, George, I was at the car.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Must crack coming in here.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
Jah here so much.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
You're ready to say hens you know.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
What I mean? Right?
Speaker 10 (10:07):
I don't know, Joe. I thought it was a good game.
I mean, you know, and I think coaches.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Say second half Bruins turn it around.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
I thought they were. They were on worse than me
in the first half. Jared.
Speaker 10 (10:15):
You you look at you look at you look at
the pillaga that they collected in the first half. They
gave Mail a touchdown and just yardage. You know, you
you give a team a touchdown and yarded and y'all equal,
you know it's gonna be a hard night.
Speaker 5 (10:26):
I mean, it was a good play.
Speaker 10 (10:27):
Game the second half, but the first first half, you know,
Batleican got their own win. I know coaches say that,
you know, I know he was probably infuriated.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Gonna say that kept throwing their flags. George Mail jumped
off side. They just looked at the play. I'm I'm eyeball,
eyeball with him. I'm like, that's ridiculous. Caught it on
us three times.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
Yep.
Speaker 10 (10:46):
But but you know, Jerry, when when when you got
a reputation and coach knows this, the reputation sometimes gets
you a couple of calls here and that.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Okay, okay, saying the Bulldogs have we took the Bulldogs
down in the playoffs last year.
Speaker 10 (10:57):
It's all I'm saying, George, I mean, did they take
you down? Okay? Sit there. Reputation means something. I mean,
I know you care you balance your ballad for me lately.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
They did. They won the game, Jase when it mattered,
and the playoffs the Bulldogs went home.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Bye.
Speaker 10 (11:13):
That's the last year think we played this year seven seventeen.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
He's more trady. He will not say from ballid will
in high school. Of course, we're gonna bring some sanity
to the show. Doctor Brooks will be coming in to
speak with us. We're gonna bring Coach King on. We're
gonna get some more information from that director before you
let him go on. What's going on at the School
of Ballad right now, we're not gonna have Jason news.
Speaker 10 (11:38):
You'll get there some pomp poms before you do this, coach,
so it can cheer in the background announcement. I know
you will. He's no shame in my game. No, you
missed the ballot boys. It was kind of rough for
me to come out. I'm sorry, didn't get your name,
but it was rough for me to get out here
listening to Jerry. I knew he'd be out here with
pom poms, and you know, Jerry, not fair to those
schools when you come here. I don't do that when
(11:59):
I go to the I didn't mind at home with
the yellowjackets of the Homer Ali, the big Sting.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
I don't do that.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
That's your problem.
Speaker 8 (12:07):
Eight Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
We'll talk to you after the break.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Welcome back to sports Radio. Let's bring some sanity back
to the show. At seven twenty one, of course, September nineteenth,
Thank god it's Friday.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
We're at Ballard High School, beautiful studio atlect.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Directory to my right, ring you to my other right. Anyway,
I had to say that we're all here and Coach
Baker before we let you go, what else is going
on with your athletic programs here at Ballard and.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
The school well doing well this year?
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Full sports are about midway through our volleyball teams ranking
in the top ten. They had a couple of big
wins over the past weekend in Licensing. This weekend for
the Thoroughbred Smash boys soccer start off slow, one four
the last five and they tied number one team in
the state, Trinity on one on when Tuesday night. So
that was a pretty really really good soccer game. And
then when football's going well, basketball we have some big
(13:07):
time freshmen coming in, so I'm excited about boys basketball.
And then we have a new coach and girls, uh,
Corry Gainey, and he's we're excited about his taking over,
and we have some pieces that are gonna come back.
And you know, the sub region is always difficult, so.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Always he'll be competitive.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Absolutely, always get George Santy Xavier Trinity right.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
And I'm sorry, I can't forget phild hockey.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
Feel like he's actually leaving for Philadelphia day for a
turn at the proving grounds.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Tell me something.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Your football team went to Missouri to play. You just
tell me someone's going to Philadelphia. Yeah, we're all this
travel cars, so Doc, George, I was lucky, but I
can get to Shelbyville.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
The doctor just promotes that. He wants to promote a brand.
You talk about balloter Nation.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
We want to travel. We want to promote it as
much as we can. Phil Hockey's been to Philadelphia. That
went to Michigan earlier. They went to Jackson, Missouri. Yes,
boys basketball go Gatlinburg. Uh, girls soccer went to girls
soccer went to Gatlinburg. I'm sorry the boys sook will
be in a Gatlinburg in the wintertime. So yeah, he's
just all about promote the brand, get the kids out
there and having new experiences. It's nice that we have
(14:04):
some of the financial back then we can do that
make that things happen for.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
Him, George. When we went to the county tournament in Lexington,
I thought I'd taken a trip.
Speaker 10 (14:11):
I'm trying to take you freedom all as far as
you went, baby, people don't realize that's what the state was.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Every where are you going freedom Hall? I thought the
bus ran out of gas and freedom all.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
It's only place.
Speaker 10 (14:23):
Would we didn't we didn't ride a bus. We could
catch the city bus in where we wanted to go.
We'll meet you that coach.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
That's really bad, George. They're good old days. Well, Coach Baker,
appreciate you. Coming on, We're gonna bring Coach King on.
Come on, step up, appreciate you, Thank you so George,
You sir, it's just difficult sitting across from you and
have to look at you. I saw you yesterday at
Reverend Collsey's press conference. I see you this morning. I'm
(14:55):
sick of you.
Speaker 5 (14:55):
George. You still want autograph? You still want monograph?
Speaker 10 (14:59):
Well, we'll we got a king between us now, Jared,
So we're gonna have to change our attitude.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
You know, the king may make a ruling.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
He may make a rule.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
The King may make a ruling, you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (15:07):
And one man is to put on his headset coach,
you do it every Friday, professional a little bit more sophisticated.
I knocked my equipment, Jed. We knew you bought it,
so we know it wasn't gonna be expensive. Okay, but
go ahead, coaching coach.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
You welcome to the show.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
I appreciate it. Doing great, coach. Yeah, great to see
you too, great to see you all.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah, even you know exactly, don't touch.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
He's pulling on other team.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
He's pulling from Mail on the sideline. I wanted to
send him to the other side. He is not part
of Bruin Nation.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
Coach. Let me say.
Speaker 10 (15:45):
The only reason I'm not probably ruin nation because so
that guy right there, I mean, you know, he just
drives me crazy with all the stuff he'd be telling me.
And then because I went to the greatest school of
all times in the state of Jefson County, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
And he's a and he's a little upset.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
That's city school.
Speaker 5 (16:00):
It was a dominated city school.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
To the city school to juston County, you were a
city school central.
Speaker 10 (16:05):
But we was a grace all time who went there,
the greatest athlete ever touch this.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
Planet, the grace of all time. Mohammed.
Speaker 10 (16:15):
We'll go ahead, Jay. I'm sorry, Coach. I don't like
to go unto that. He forces me forces men.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
We got a central guy hit too, Jay, But what's
talk about him? Like?
Speaker 2 (16:22):
We talk about it later.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
All So, coach, what in three not really struggling just
can't score defense plays really well, what's going on offensively?
Speaker 11 (16:31):
I mean we're it's the seasons of progression.
Speaker 8 (16:35):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
We have young offensive line.
Speaker 11 (16:37):
Three three kids who they'll be making their fifth, fifth
and third start on the line at the varsity level.
Two of them never played O line before this season. So, uh,
you know we're a little young. But you know, when
you played the schedule that we've played, U you learn
a lot.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
You know, we don't have fools gold.
Speaker 11 (16:56):
You know we're not you know, four and oh and
not knowing anything thing but being four and oh, we're
one and three. We're a couple of plays away from
three and one on But like I tell the kids,
I mean we're one and three, right, so you know,
I mean we're one and three. Been in honestly in
this is kind of mirrored last year, Yes, unfortunately. And
you know the main thing is, and I think the
(17:17):
kids understand.
Speaker 5 (17:18):
It, is we're close.
Speaker 11 (17:21):
We've been in the games, and the schedule is not
one where you can make.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
Mistakes and expect to beat teams.
Speaker 11 (17:29):
Like you've got to play at a at a high
level in order to beat the teams that we play.
And when you when you make uh, you know, critical
mistakes and critical times. You know, the good teams aren't
going to allow you to do that.
Speaker 10 (17:41):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
And so.
Speaker 11 (17:43):
I would rather that and us learned from that early
on in August and September so that we're good to
go in October November, because ultimately, you know, this isn't
trying to get into the college playoff, you know, I mean,
if you lose three games, you're not out of it, right.
It's about progression. It's about you know, no, and being
at the at the optimal uh level when you're when
(18:05):
you're in November, and that's that's the whole goal.
Speaker 10 (18:08):
Hey, coach, you know, and we talk about this quite
often on our show. We talk about, you know what
you're saying, how your team is right there, but you know,
most people don't understand. You got to teach young people
how to win. You can be right there on the gates,
but that learning how to win is the hardest thing
I think a coach really has to teach a young
team because you see, right there, the game is on
the line, but that one player you're looking for turnover pilling.
(18:32):
Because like as Lemon and Jerry said that when we
watched the male game, the first half, y'all were pilling
red real riddle. Second half you came out and you
played fantastic. You look like two different teams, you know,
And that's what you say, Like you said you had
young players because a couple of players, you know, was
reputationious mistakes and you know that's because of inexperience. Can
you talk about learning how to win?
Speaker 11 (18:51):
Yeah, I mean, and that's and that's honestly something that
we worked on trying to do this last spring is
every every week we had a character development class because
I think your maturity and your character has so much
to do with that finishing product, because I think sometimes you're,
you know, your level of play, sometimes your character doesn't
(19:13):
match the level of play. And we our own worst enemy,
Like you know, I can go back to different games
last year and this year, and we just don't allow
ourselves sometimes to be successful. We make that critical penalty
when it was a controllable thing that we had and
and you know, we.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Do side the first possition against fail, gave them second.
Speaker 11 (19:35):
Life those kind of things and played great d and
and that's the thing when again, when when you're playing
really good teams, you can't let a team get an
extension of downs even if they don't score, it's flipping
the field. It's because in those games, three points is
huge position. Yeah, and field position is huge and so, uh,
it's the idea that man, every possession, whether offense or defense,
(19:57):
it doesn't have to be a score, but it's you know,
did you win the possession, did we get a couple
first outs?
Speaker 5 (20:02):
Do flip the field?
Speaker 11 (20:03):
Did we not allow something to uh? Did we allow
a big play for us to stay and stand because
we didn't do something stupid on the on the back end.
And so you know, that's that's really where our biggest
thing is, and it's getting them to understand, like, hey,
play's done, let's let's go to the next play, and uh,
let's let's allow ourselves to be successful.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Guys, we've got another caller.

Seventeen twelve, Francs picked you to win, Lombar's got you
winning twenty four nineteen, Spears ballot eighteen fifteen, Spencer's got
Firm Creek fourteen ten.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
So what do you have to say about it? What
do you have?
Speaker 11 (28:37):
I mean three to one nation, I like can't uh,
you know, so I'm gonna refrain from many I like
you now, I mean Ford Creek. They've you know, they've
the three and one h they have a really good
defense as well.
Speaker 5 (28:51):
They're very athletic.
Speaker 11 (28:54):
They have a quarterback who played for the first time
last week who brings an element to their offense. And uh,
I mean anytime that you have a team that's experienced
winning and you know, this is the first time we've
played since I've been at Ballard, and so you know
there are a fellow six A I would say, you know,
as far as the six A tier goes. This is
(29:15):
a game that you know, they they're looking forward to.
Of course we're looking forward to as well. We we
need to get right in a lot of ways. And
they're coming in, I'm sure getting ready to make a statement.
You know, they're looking to make a statement.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
So I mean, I.
Speaker 11 (29:29):
Expect a very physical, a very physical football game. You know,
I think three of them are going to be right.
But you know that's you gotta play it.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
You have to play the game.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Yeah, so, coach, you have a problem scoring before I
let you go and bring on your player Dayalen Thompson.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
The issue with scoring and we do. We have our
starting quarterback.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
The very first game I was at the game, Larry
Irvin went down correct.
Speaker 5 (29:56):
Yeah, what is his situation?
Speaker 2 (29:58):
Where is he was playing? Again? Uh?
Speaker 11 (30:00):
Well, so the first game against lex CAF. Actually, like
one of the first plays, you know, I didn't run
him all in the scrimmages. I love running the quarterback,
by the way. Quarterback power is my favorite play, I think.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Absolutely, And we ran a Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
Yeah so, uh Josh.
Speaker 11 (30:15):
He tweaked his ankle on one of the first couple
run plays and battled through that the rest of the game.
He was out the first half of Mail and then
came back in the second half and we had limit,
we had a limited play you know, play calling to
where you know, his ankle was protected. And then last week,
Uh went out in the second quarter with the shoulder.
(30:36):
So you know, I mean we're I mean, he's he's
sitting tonight. I don't think that's a secret. I mean
I can say that because I know Uh. Actually, I
mean my my wife. My wife works at Fern Creek
and so they've been asking her all week. So is
he really sitting or are they just playing with us?
I'm like, I'll tell you the damn scouting sorry, scouting creek.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
Yeah, yeah, God, I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
What do we say about that? George?
Speaker 5 (30:59):
You know, we love we love her. He's against some
scouting jay. He knows what he's doing.
Speaker 10 (31:04):
If I got cousin over it Mail and another nephew down.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Well, you know, George, I told her that I see
some I see ineligible players, mad grades, mad great damp.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
I told her to suspend her football players.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Anything to Yeah, coach, we appreciate having you on.

Radio because my mailbox is damaged. Yeah, I am, because
my mailbox damaged. And I'll tell you why.
Speaker 5 (32:23):

Speaker 8 (32:24):
The mailman put the check in my mailbox, George. Yes,
there's like ten thousand jumping beans. That check was bouncing
so much it damaged my mailbox, like.
Speaker 10 (32:32):
Ten thousand jumping beans. And it tried to jump out,
couldn't get out and took your box down.
Speaker 8 (32:37):
George and George the mailman had never seen the mailman.
George said he'd never seen anything like that in his life.
He's he you know, I have like a ball peen
hammer hitting my mailbox in that Jack Bountain so much.
Speaker 10 (32:48):
Hey, Blen, I feel bad for the Show's gonna try
to do better. I'm a mail them out from that.

Speaker 8 (33:03):

team is winning Georgia, it will rotate for that team.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
It doesn't change from volor nation. I said, you flip
flop from validation.
Speaker 8 (33:12):
You are a trade. I'm not a trader, sir. I'm
a I'm what you call a realist. I'm not a
trader you call a realist because at the end of
the day, Jerry, between you and I, I don't flip
flop when my team's losing. I stayed with him, but
you're like a James Bond car with your life and play.
It's just a shame that you're like to but that's
who you are. But I wanted to coach Chill there
(33:34):
by chance Jerry.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
