Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is September the fourth, twenty twenty five. I hope
that you'll understand that it is raining and sloppy outside.
Be careful with your commute to work. This is the
sports radio phone numbers five zero two, five seventy nine
hundred Sports Talk seven ninety KRD. I've got Rick behind

(00:21):
the glass. Yes, Rick, I was a little slow. My
phone had clicked to the mute side. But I'm back
and I'm ready. So we've got a busy day. Everyone
understands you've got to get your scores in today and tomorrow.
You got quite a few. Secondly, I've got my man,
a brother from a different mother. Mike Vin will be
calling in speaking about a big golf tournament that he's

(00:44):
presenting and putting on on September fifteenth. He'll be calling
at seven fifteen. I'm also got Lee Sterling, which we'll
have to call Lee today at about seven thirty eight.
So Rick, we've got to stay on task. So let's
bring the young gun. Let's bring Anthony. Rick. This is
Anthony's last day for probably I don't know, eight to

(01:05):
twelve weeks. Probably he's getting ready to go be a fireman.
So Anthony proud of you. Welcome to the sports radio.
You're ready to go? Are you ready? I'm parked, You're ready,
Saint Matthew's Fire Apartment. I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I'm always ready to go.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Good.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Well, I'm ready. I'm proud of you, Anthony, no question.
So tomorrow you'll be at work. So this is your
last day for probably a couple of months. How's it feel.
I'm gonna leave all your fans behind.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Anthony, Well, hopefully they don't forget about me. But you know,
only time will tell.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
I was gonna say the one fan, but I was
gonna do that your mother. I wasn't gonna do that, though, Anthony,
I said, I'm not gonna do that. I'm gonna be
nice to you on your last day. But congratulations, Aunt,
get started tomorrow Saint Matthew's Fire Department. Challenging job. Be ready,
That's all I can say. And thank you for serving
the community. So o, get good. We've already got callers.

(01:58):
Like I told you, Oh, Mike, mine'll be in at
seven fifteen. We got to get my man on and
then we'll go from there. But we were on our
first call and waiting, so Anthony, before I thought to
you with the national stuff. Let's get this gentleman in
and out because he has absolutely no sense whatsoever. You
know him, Anthony, his name is Bland and fellow Phillip

(02:20):
Patriot of yours not mine, bland And welcome to the show.
How are you well?

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Good morning, mister Eves, and brother Rick and uh and Jerry,
and it tastes up Jerry.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Best, Blanding, you sell that you're underwater bag? Can you
are you moving? Are you? I got there? You go?
That's better now, yes, that's better. There you go.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I just wanted to thank you for that appropriate introduction
from you, sir, and and I will continue to dress
mister Eaves because he is a patriot and I'm proud
of that young man. And he's going to own the
world one day.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Absolutely serve the world, serve the world. So Blanding, you know,
you never win. You can't beat me, and no one's
trying Blanding. Have you noticed they don't even try to
get in bed with me anymore? They won't come into
the briars bush any of it because I've been whipping Blanding.
What I'm gonna have to do is I'm gonna start
giving my score mm hmm. I'm just gonna be like

(03:22):
a regular collar. I won't win the money, but I'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
But you are made off of radios. I'm not gonna
say no more about winning and taking everybody. Oh, I
get you to.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
The Birdie made off level. I am upfront with mine.
I am not stealing people's money out of the back door,
and my kids aren't either. I tell you to your face,
I'm gonna beat you. That's the only difference.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Well back to the day when you to the other jackets.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I'm losing you getting blanding, Blanding. Let's get to the scores.
I lost you again. You live so far outland a
little bit better Blanding, but you're struggling today. Let's get
to the games. Better little But for some reason, you're bad.
It's it's bad, but let's go. James Madison, James Madison.

you frightened?

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I'm frightened?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Okay, great? Oh yeah, I told you. I've gotta beat down.
Oh miss Kentucky at Kentucky.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Oh miss thirty five Kentucky twenty one.

Speaker 4 (05:15):

Speaker 1 (05:15):
You have got, of course the game Louie James Madison, Louisville.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Where'd you put in scores?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I told you your husband's always Mary scores?

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Uh James Madison, chen and yeve oil thirty times?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Okay, old miss Kentucky, I have.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Oh missed twenty eight in Kentucky twenty one.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
That may be the score. Kennesau State.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Are you.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Kennesaw State seven? Are you forty two?

Speaker 1 (05:55):

Speaker 2 (06:00):

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Okay, Mary, I've got you in best of luck. Mary.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Thanks Jerry, have a good day.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
You too, have a great day, Mary great So yes,
Anthony hit me with the national news, and then we're
gonna bring on my brother from a different mother right
after the break. So Anthony hit me with the national news.
Saint Matthew's fire department, I would call you apprentice. That's
all good deal what we have man.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Obviously, for the high school games tomorrow, we do have
males sitting at a record of two and oh. Where
were playing at Saint Xavery, who was also two and oh,
which is probably be our game of the week. Those
two teams, two powerhouses going against each other. I've seen
Mail this year, I haven't got to see Saint Xavier yet,
so I don't know what to expect from this game.
Hopefully it will be a close one. Hope the weather

(06:54):
holds up throughout the rest of the week as well too.
I know it's raining now, post are clear up this afternoon,
so hopefully it stays that way tomorrow. Most they can
get that game.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
In as well.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Excellent game.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
We got Trendy going out to Cincinnati playing Moeler out there,
so we'll be taking a little trip out north playing
on Team Mountain Cincinnati. Then we got Ballad a one
to one. They'll be playing out in Jackson, Missouri. So
ballot going a long way out west for a high
school football game.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
And you know, I agree, Jackson, Missouri. I don't know
where that game even came from, Anthony, but yes.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
They're going a long way. I'm not sure why I
say that. We traveled quite a bit of Ballad for basketball,
though I don't remember our football team ever traveling.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
That's football is expensive to travel that far. They must
have money at Ballad, that's all. They must have money.
Mike must have donated. Mike, you're giving away your money.
So keep going, Anthony. So we get my.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Brother on, yeah, of course, and obviously we're getting into
the US Open two as well. Oh we obviously nail Meoska.
My girl advanced. She did advanced last night and straight sets,
winn six to four and then seven to six. Iagoswissik,
the number two player in the world, was eliminated last
night in the women's quarterfinals and the Massova she lost
in straight set six four sixty three. So the woman

(08:18):
with a lot of upsets, if we go ranking wise
on the women's side, men's side, not as much. Johnick
Cender did advance in straight sets. And then also a
Canadian Augi Alasimi did advance in three out of four
sets as well, ranked twenty fifth in the country in
the men's quarterfinals as well. So we got more games
coming up today in the US Open later this afternoon
up in New York. And then also we can't forget

(08:40):
about the game of the night, the Dallas cass Right
take on the reigning Super Bowl champs to Philadelphia rules.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
They're eighty demolished. They're gonna get destroyed, I mean destroyed
in Philly. Oh my goodness, it's not gonna be pretty.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
No, Michael Parsons, I can't wait to watch. I can't
wait till you come home, so I get to yell
at you in your face and tell how bad the
Cowboys are.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
I'll be.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
You won't be. You'll yell at your mother. I threw
the Cowboys away last year. I took the bumper sticker
and put it in the garbage. I can't take it anymore.
I can't you know that.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I can't say you say that until Dak goes out
there and throws a touch and he goes, all right,
Dak doesn't look that bad.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
It's okay.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I know you'll say, you're gonna say it at least
once or twice.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Heydk has really improved. He surprising me. You have to
get him credit. But all right, man, we're gonna go.
It's in fourteen. We gotta pay some bills. When we
come back, I'm gonna talk to Mike nine. He hasn't
been on since the selling of the dealership. We've got
to talk to him about that and what's going to transpire.
September fifteenth and a huge golf outing at Big Springs

(09:46):
Country Club. This is E Sports Radio. I'll be back
with my brother after the break. Welcome back to Eve
Swarts Radio. Of course, whole numbers five zero, two, five seven,
one seventeen for the contests, the people that send it
to my phone and my email. You must understand, the

(10:09):
people that call in get priority. If you sitting in
the same score, I may notify you back, and I'm
promising you, but the people that call in get the
priority of the score. Just so you'll know. So it's
best that you call in now. Uh. For a few
of my cat fans, it's so interesting that John Carney
of Carney's Gallery, they did my floor a great, beautiful job.

(10:31):
I don't know how he got the people to work
for him, but he doesn't call in much. Anthony was
old miss staring him in the face. Didn't have much
to say with Toledo, John Carney Carney's Gallery. Where are
you scared? Maybe you're a kitty cat now not a wildcat. Anyway,
Let's bring all the one and only Mike Vine. Mike Vine,

(10:52):
I don't know if I should hug you, I hit you.
I can't believe you sold a dealership, Mike. I just
can't believe it, but I have to. I've got to
get over it, Mike. I got to get over How
are you?

Speaker 5 (11:03):
I am doing awesome? Thank you?

Speaker 4 (11:05):
How are you? Jerry?

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Well since the last time we played? Where were we playing, Mike,
Louisville Country Club.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Yeah's favorite place.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
You go.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
We stake it up, no, Mike, But we had a
good time, did we did?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
We did?

Speaker 1 (11:22):
It?

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Takes us two good shots out of one hundred to
make you come back, and maybe I had.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
To, That's all. But Mike, it was too hot, My goodness,
we were crazy, We were craps. It was smoking. You've
got a lot going on in your life. You've got
a lot going on of course, you sold the dealership
that you held your dad started back in the sixties
to the German Group. How do you feel about that?
I mean, I've never even never told people tell me

(11:49):
what you think?

Speaker 5 (11:51):
You know, all of us are getting up there, Jim
Andy and myself. I'm the youngest at sixty, Jimson seventy something.
We've all had health scares, and uh, it's a wonderful
business and we did it right, and we won all
these awards for being the top five percent dealers in

(12:12):
the country, and uh, now it's time for someone else
to to run it, operate it, to feel the highs
and feel the lows of any business. And and now
I'm I get to hang out with you more. So
I'm excited. I think we closed all August maybe fourteenth,

(12:40):
and now I'm dealing with my kids every day and
they probably don't like it, but that's okay.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
No job took a lot from you, a lot of time.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
Yeah, it is, absolutely And I'll miss my favorite co worker,
Frank k I call him but Frank Eves and great guy.
He's not me, but he's real close. And you were
thinking about calling me called Frankie, and uh, things will.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Be great is walking in your office eating lunch, talking junk.
I think people got sick of us doing that, Mike,
talking about the games, talk about the trips you're going
to take.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
You absolutely, absolutely, It's funny when you sell a business,
everybody is concerned with their job. And uh, it was
a priority to us to make sure everyone had a job.
And and uh the new buyer took over and and
left everything the same, and we found a group that

(13:47):
did it. And uh, but I tell you once, uh,
once you're on the other side. I went there yesterday.
Uh my car acted up, so I pulled it into service,
and they asked asked me for stuff that no one's
asked me in forever. And you know, they asked me
for my license, and they you know, the last time
someone asked me for my license was a police officer

(14:09):
when I was speeding. Uh. They asked me for my insurance,
you know, things that I couldn't provide in two seconds.
And you know, they look at you like, you know
you need these things. You know you should know this
and I never had to do it before, but you
know I have to do it now.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
So I wucked it up.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
About that back there you go and did what they say.
So all good, all good, all.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Good, oh good. You've got a huge, huge event going
on on September fifteenth, the Big Springs and talked about
it before. I want you to elaborate a little bit.
Let people know what's going on with the Kentucky Louisville Challenge.
This is really good. I mean, I want people to
come out. They'll get to watch their favorite players. Just
be careful, we hit you with a golf ball. We're

(14:58):
not pros. But I want to to come out, Mike,
tell them what's going on.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
Absolutely. So, uh, September fifteenth, we have the first annual
UK versus U of L or Acts, I should say
U of L versus UK Celebrity Golf Challenge. And this
whole thing started at the Vegas Summer League. Tony Delk
and I were sitting there and I brought a friend,

(15:24):
Nick Brown, to the game. He lives in Vegas, and
I look at Tony, I said, Tony, you know we
all reach in our pockets to help the underprivilege and
do all this stuff. My friend next to us, Nick,
you know, he's a good candidate. He's an attorney in
New York part time and lives in Vegas. I said,

(15:44):
let's hit him up for money. And to make a
long story short, my friend Nick, all of a sudden says, hey, Tony,
let's make some real money for you. And that was
kind of the start of it. And Nick said, let's
have a golf match. And I didn't know that I
was going to put it all together and raise all

(16:04):
the money and call people and this and that and that.
But it's okay because it was a super fundraiser. But
we've raised I would say, two hundred and seventy thousand
dollars approximately so far in an event two weeks away,
and all the money goes to goes to four different things.

(16:27):
That goes to the the Tony Delk Basketball Academy, which
we're providing a new floor for the floor up there
that he helps children is getting in bad shape. And
then an organization called LCCC, which is Louisville Central Community Center.

(16:53):
I'm pretty sure it's the Russell neighborhood and they've been
around for years. And then everyone's favorite, the West End
Boys School. It's a boarding school for the kids.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Men and men women. First year mismen.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
It is it is, It's awesome and Uh. And then
the last thing we did was the Norton's West End Hospital.
The youth program. We wanted. We didn't want to give
it to the Nortons directly, we want or we did,
but we wanted it to go to something, and so
we all just tried to help kids out. And we've

(17:37):
got a a whole list of potential players, let's say,
potential when you deal with all these athletes, they're all
in and then when it comes time to show up
and play hopefully, but a lot, right, but a lot
of them, will.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
You know?

Speaker 5 (17:56):
For U of l side, we've got you know, we've got,
of course, the the famous guy Jerry Eaves playing and
Chris Redman, Rhys Gaines, Luke and Cock, Herbert crook Le, Bradford,
Kenny Payne, Roger Berkman, Uh, Peyton Seeva, Uh, Stephen Van Trees,

(18:22):
Mike Mara, just a bunch of them. And then on
the on the Kentucky side, unfortunately we have too many
of them. Uh, but we've got a lot of good ones.
Kenny Walker, Derek Anderson, Ron Burcer, Darius Miller, Walter McCarty. Uh.

(18:44):
We're still waiting to hear from Brandon Knight Sean Woods
is coming. Nazzy is coming as long as the NBA
let him off. Uh. Talk about Nasey he wants you know,
he's at Okay. See, so I think he's got if
I'm not mistake, and I think he has five rings now.
I know he had two at one or two at

(19:04):
Kentucky and then a couple more where if he was
playing the really turned out great guy, great guy Smith. Yeah,
and Antoine Walker, Mark Krebs. Uh. We even have some

(19:24):
people your age, Jerry, old guys, Henry Tomas and so anyway,
we're playing at Big Springs at on September fifteenth at
one o'clock. I tell you the sign and auction items.
Some of those things are better or as good as

(19:46):
the pros. But what we've done and if anybody's interested,
i'll Uh, Jerry, you'll give him my cell or I'll
give you my cell now six nine, fifteen nineteen. If
anyone is interested in playing, we have four teams left. Uh,
that's possible. And of those four teams, it's a fifteen

(20:07):
dollars donation that goes straight to one of those four charities,
and you can pick which charity you want to give to. Yeah,
and uh, it's just a welcoming fun event.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (20:25):
And what we do is we have you pick you
bring yourself and two of your buddies, and then we
stick you with one of these uh X players and
you have a good time and you know, hopefully you're
you're playing with somebody that can play golf, and you win,
and then the prizes are crazy. I mean, you you

(20:45):
hit a hole in one on one of the par threes,
you take home a Porsche. They go the next hole
you play, or the next par three if you're just
the closest to the hole, you come twenty five hundred bucks.
Another one of the part threes is for a new
Porsche your watch, and uh there's k forty radar detectors.

(21:13):
These are just you know, hole or gifts for longest
drive and just stuff like that. And uh, just see
all your old buddies and recognize them and hang out
with them, and uh, it'll be a lot of fun
and we're excited. If anybody wants to play, give us
a call. And if you don't want to play, if

(21:35):
you want to donate, call us, or better yet, just
call the four Charities and tell them you're excited about
the u of l u AK challenge and uh and
give a little money to the people that really need it.
And that's what we're trying to do.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Mike. He wrapped it up perfectly. I'm at seven thirty.
You know your guy Lee Stirling will be calling in. Well,
we'll be calling Lee at seven thirty eight, So I
got to get two breaks out the way. Mike, Love you,
great job, like.

Speaker 5 (22:02):
All love you for you guys. Take care, be blessed
and have a great day.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
You too, Mike Vin Bye bye, great person to see you.
Mike Eve Sports Radio. It's seven thirty one. We've got
to get to our second break here. We will have
a quick one and we're gonna talk a little bit
about sports, this Dallas Cowboy game, and then we'll be
going to Lee Sterling. The last segment is Esports Radio
Phone numbers five zero two five unders. Welcome back to

(22:31):
Eves Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (22:32):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
It's September the fourth. It is raining outside. Leave on time.
The roads are really dicey. That's all I'm going to say.
Very overcast, dark day. My yard needed the rain. But
be safe please. Now, Anthony, here's the deal. We gots
a quick segment before we get lead on. I got
a question. Joe Montanna is one of the greatest Montaigne

(22:54):
if you were watching Waterboy, but Joe Montanna was one
of the greatest quarterbacks. San Francisco forty nine ers defeated
the Cowboys. Anthony. He put out if he wanted going
to start a franchise, four quarterbacks he would take. Okay,
but he left two off, so I'm gonna give you
the four he would take. Josh Allen, got no problem
with that. Joe Burrows, I got no problem with that.

(23:17):
Justin Herbert he is good, but I'm still and I
wouldn't put him third. Jalen Hurts four super Bowl champ,
been to the Super Bowl twice. I really have no
problem with that. I would have him fourth. He'd be third. Okay,
he left off Lamar Jackson my favorite. Okay, I understand that, Anthony.
I do he left off Patrick Mahomes. I'm just asking you.

(23:38):
He must be crazy. He fell on his head. Lamar.
I understand hasn't done anything in the playoffs yet. Anthony,
I understand that Patrick Mahomes. Get away from me. That's
a second comic. That's who is coming after him and
Brady's been in every Super Bowl since he's been in
the league. How does he leave off Patrick Mahomes, That's
my only question answered.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Maybe it could be a favoritism thing. You know, some
players just like players more than others. You ever hear
the thing that some players don't like people who see
like seeing them be successful, or kind of seeing their
name too much, almost like frustrats and gets annoying. I
hate to say, if Patrick Mahomes does have that effect
as good as you have, sometimes it's annoying to see
his name it just like Brady.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
I agree with that. I didn't like Brady because he
won all the time. I understand, but I still said
he's the goat and I would have never taken him
out of the top four, No way. I mean, but
I didn't like him because he went so much. Anthony,
the kid's been in the super Bowl since he was three.
Everyone knows I'm playing. But still, come on, now, there's
no way you leave Pet Mahomes. All that stuff's come
on now. I don't care what you say. That made

(24:44):
him look Joe, that makes you look bad. I'm sorry,
There's just no way that would be honestly me sitting
up here saying I don't like Brady and I think
he's the seventh best quarterback or the fifth best quarterback.
Come on, hen you can see you don't like a person,
but you have to put him where he's earned. Football
is earned. Come on, come on, Joe. That was bad. Joe.

(25:05):
I'm sorry. I know it's your opinion and you are
a pro player, but there's what is the purpose of
playing reaching the Super Bowl? What has Patrick Mahomes done, Anthony,
He's won two? What lost to? What do you come on? Aunt?
Come on, man, I just that one. I was like
when I said, don't lamar, I'm like, and then I
didn't Even then I said no Patrick Maham, I'm like, yeah,

(25:29):
I said, oh, well, what can I say, Anthony? What
can I say? So? Anyway, I think Joe's got four
championships and he is He's in the goat category. He
was really good at you weren't born, but and you
talking about really good. He was really good. He could
spend that ball, Anthony. He knew football, he knew what
he was doing. He had a great team, but he
was good. I mean, I'll never take that away from him.

(25:51):
But to leave off Patrick Mahomes. The little hair I
have on my head, I'm scratching, and I just don't.
I can't see any reason when you're saying, I'm standing
a franchise that is to get to the super Bowl.
The purpose is to get there. And here's a kid
in this era that has dominated everybody you name other
than Joe Burrows, who has defeated he once. Come on,

(26:13):
I mean, come on, so anyway, it's I'm thirty eight A.
We're gonna get the break when we come back. We're
gonna get Lee back on, get some of his predictions
for the week, and talk about these Dallas cowgirls that
are playing tonight. NFL is back. I am pumped e
Sports Radio. We'll talk to you all after the break.

(26:37):
Welcome back to Eves Sports Radio. Thursday, Guy, September fourth.
It is raining outside. Be safe. We've been waiting for
this segment. A lot of people have been waiting. We've
got the one and only Lee Stirling on Paramount Sports. Lee,
welcome back to the show. How are you.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
I'm good. I'm gonna wish I had a better week.
One enjoyed watching the games and I was actually at
the Miami game. But you gotta be honest. I was.
I was fooled. I was on the wrong side of
more games than I was right. So overall went five
and eight on the weekend. Rare losing week, but we'll
bounce back. I'm ready to go.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Are you ready to go? Let me tell you what
people listen to what you say my phone, you're coming on,
they said, asked Lee about the Kentucky game. Hey listen, brother,
I didn't know that they're listening. But before we get
into all that, I just want to let you know
that this is my son's the last day. You know,
he's going to be a fireman here at Saint manth

(27:35):
He's fire department.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
So I just what a great what a great profession
he's chosen, and his journey we keep us, keep us
in touch with how his journey unfolds.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Definitely do it. And he were proud of you, boy.
So now here's the deal, though, Lee, I got to
start first and foremost, I just really need last week
was crazy because no one could score. Let's just text
his old house state now that it's over. Do you
have any issue with Manning at all? Or do you
think he'll bounce back? Well?

Speaker 3 (28:08):
I think he's going to do better the next couple
of weeks are not playing anyone, So you know, here's
the problem. You know, the hype was just so so
great for arch Manning in the off season that it
was going.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
To be tough.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
But it wasn't all his fault. I am when I'm
watching on you know live and then later on YouTube.
We don't have the what the teams get back as
far as you can't see from the end zone, the
coverages and things like that, so I can't lay all
the blame on him, but he certainly was subpar. He
missed some easy throws. I mean two throws stick out.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
The interception.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
He threw the ball late, and he also had nothing
on it. It was like a dead quail. So I
don't know whether he had arm issues, and they didn't
want to say anything. You know, that's the new thing
college football. Five six years ago we got injury reports.
Now only the acc right now is on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
I think more cons are going to have to them. Yes,
Kudo did accuse. People need to put that out. People
are gambling on these games, and they do need to
know if there are injuries.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
I agree, right if they're.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Gonna accept the money. They're gonna accept the money, and
you're going to see you know, big signs up, you
know for these different uh you know legal sports books.
You know they they they got to put it in.
And then that that crossing route on the last drive,
I mean not even close. What happens is these kids
probably even arch manding. They see, you know, Patrick Mahomes

(29:36):
making these roads, you know, side sideways, you know, going
to the left, and you know what bottom line is,
it's not it's not you know, you need to be planted,
go off your back foot and then go forward and
your motion should be almost like a baseball pitcher. And
you know when you do other things, you know, it's

(29:56):
very tough or tougher to complete passes and to have accuracy.
And these kids, you know, they watched the films, they
watch the videos, and that's what they're emulating right now.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Well and again they're not Patrick Mahomes, are Joe Burrows,
Josh Allen, Lamar, They're not, but that's who they're emulating.
And you could see.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
La can do it, Lamar Jackson can Lamar Jackson can
do it with some different arm angles. But you know
these are these are the best of the best. You know,
these are the top two three quarterbacks in the NFL.
So you know, unless you're you're Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes
or Lamar Jackson. Uh, you know, stick stick with what

(30:35):
your coach tells you.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
No, chrise, Well, let's do it to the first game.
We won't let Anthony. Anthony can't leave it the first game.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
Yep. So the first game we have is Florida versus USS.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Yeah, a lot of people thought a lot of people
thought that this was going to be an absolute runaway.
But now all of a sudden, you know, after USF
puts a beat down on Boise State. This is a
big game here. So there may not be the Texas
Ohio State, but there's a lot. There's six seven really
interesting games and this is one of them here. So

(31:11):
Boise wilted. Also in the heat, they were turned them
all over three times and South Florida didn't turn it over.
You can't expect that to have happen again. I love
their quarterback, Byron Brown, but he's a dog, but he
can't do it alone. I don't love his receivers and
running backs. I don't think they're you know, game breakers
here and that's what they're going to need against Florida

(31:33):
to show you how easy Florida had it. They won
fifty five to nothing, and their field goal kicker missed
three out of five field goals. This should have been
like sixty eight nothing. Yeah, so I agree, let's go
with Florida here. Sometimes you got to lay it if
you want to play at Florida. Thirty eight to seventeen.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
GOTCHAMU Baylor interesting games, and you I'm still iffy on
this year. I did not watch them. I have not
seen them play, but three point game, SMU, tell me
what you think happens with that.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
So what we're seeing a lot is overreactions. You know,
people are gonna be like, oh, Texas stinks. We'll look
what happened to Notre Dame last year. They ended up
taking They ended up you know, you know, losing the
first game or second game actually last year against Northern Illinois,

(32:30):
and they ended up you know, running, going to a
huge winning streak and make it all the way to
the championship game. So once you see the first week,
and people judge a lot the first week they based
the rest of their decisions on. And I just think that,
you know, This SMU team is not great. They lost

(32:53):
their thousand yard rusher, top three receivers, their entire defensive line,
in fact, seven of the top eight guys. You just
don't replace him like that. So they dispatched East Sex
Estate last week forty two to thirteen. But the scorer
is misleading. They had two pick sixes for touchdowns against
the lower level team. Baylor loses thirty eight to twenty

(33:13):
four to Auburn. I thought the first of the game,
they look great, might be the better team. They just
did not know how to defend Jackson Arnold. They didn't
expect him to run like that, and he looked like,
you know, someone lit a match underneath the news he
was he was. He was running away from people one
hundred and thirty seven yards from your quarterback and two touchdowns.

(33:35):
They also you saw Baylor went for it on fourth
downs six times, and they paniced too early. Even their
head coach David Rand admitted he was a little too
aggressive year. So I think those losses are too much.
I think SMU is good, but not near where they
were last year. I think Baylor puts an ends up

(33:57):
winning this game here. Wrong team favored. I like Naylor
thirty four to twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
Least earl in paramount sports is where you're finding. Here's
the game. I'm going to the game All Miss at
Kentucky three thirty Saturday. I'll be there now. Kentucky played
well well, my son kills Kentucky saying that you were
supposed to be Toledo and they were even though you
thought Toledo could get them. What happens this week? Ole
Miss coming to town Lane Kifton offensive genius or that's

(34:24):
what they said.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Well last year, the last year, in that game, one of.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
The most surprising upsets.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
First first drive of the game, they moved right down
the field like it was nothing. It looked like they
were going to blow out, blow out Kentucky. And what happened.
Kentucky controlled the ball and the line of scrimmage, stunning
upset win twenty to seventeen in Oxford as a fifteen
and a half point underdog. Now, each of the last

(34:52):
four meetings has been decided Get this by three, three,
one in overtime, and three points, so generally pretty close games.
Now me, I've been known this a long time. This
game is going to either be Ole Miss is going
to win this game by thirty and the fans are
gonna be leaving the middle of the third quarter, and

(35:13):
it's gonna be like the Arkansas game that ole Miss had.
They boat race them or Austin Simmons, who is very dynamic.
I like them a lot, but prone to throw interceptions,
not real at depth yet at reading coverage, and you
know they struggle. I mean, this is this is the
first time that he's ever started a road game, and

(35:34):
you're making an SEC game double digit favored.

Speaker 5 (35:40):
Here.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
They held Georgia State to seven points. But Georgia State
is so bad they took They took a quarterback out
of the transfer portal this week Monday or Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
Shows you how desperate they are.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
Even Georgia State ran it. They ran it for five
point five yards per carry, so almost is more were talented.
But I expect Kentucky to slow the pace way down,
just like last year. And this is where Stoops does
his best work seven and three the last six years
as a home underdog. I think ole Miss escapes, which

(36:13):
should be a great game. Twenty eight twenty four.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Okay, excellent, Yeah, because now Dale had the longest run
from the scrimmage for Kentucky at seventy six yard touchdown
run last week against Toledos. So you're right, they're gonna
run the ball at homes Louisville. James Madison, I'm going
to that tomorrow night. Fourteen point favorites of Louisville. What
do you have track meet or not?

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Well, yeah, I mean Miller Moss is going to play
in this game.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Correct, Yeah, he's well, he got a little Yeah, you
got because two interceptions is well Madison?

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Yeah, and you know what, it's the first time he's
getting new you know, settled in with his receivers. And
I was watching James Madison. They're solid, but their defense
last year they allowed four times plus thirty points once fifty.
They're running back. They got a kid, Wayne Knight. He
is a weapon. They use a two quarterback system here.

(37:11):
Remember the kid from UNLV who stopped playing after three
or four games. Yes, Sluka, he's the guy they rotate
in here with Alonzo Barrett. So they are twenty eight
to nine straight up since entering FBS level play in
twenty twenty two. Very impressive. Even the first season eight

(37:32):
and three straight up. They did lose to Louisville thirty
four to ten. Their step up games have been a
one point win at Virginia team in twenty twenty three,
which is terrible, and last year's seventy to fifty win
at North Carolina, a result you know pretty much of
off the charts. It was basically the beginning of the
end for Mac Brown's coaching career.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Home chalk Here.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
Quarterback Miller moss Here. I think he has the skill
set and the weapons, I mean at running back and receiver.
They replace guys at receiver and I think they did
a really good job. They even have a good tight end.
I like Louisville. I think they double up James Madison
forty two to twenty one.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Basically the game I'm waiting for Sunday Night Bills Ravens
who won a game Josh Allen Lamar Jackson again. It
will be a thriller, one point game. How do you
see that game finishing?

Speaker 3 (38:29):
So he played like playoff Lamar usually plays in the playoff.
Fair stats. Two lost turnovers, one of them leading seven
points for the Bill in the game that the Ravens
lost by two points with a minus three minus three
and only lost by two minus street turnover margins the
Bills escaped. Also, remember that in cold weather field was slippery,

(38:54):
so the field conditions will be perfect. Tire. You know,
I'm watching them. Last year they beat them thirty five
to ten. Early in the year, I still felt and
I had the Bills in the playoffs, I felt they
were gonna somehow find a way to win. I think
Baltimore is the better team. Bills were plus twenty four
margin last year in turnover margin that was one and

(39:16):
a half times as good as the number two team
and also twice as good as Baltimore. So Baltimore game
seven point three yards for snap in that game to
the Bills four point six. So I just think that
they're gonna do it again here. I think Baltimore in
the regular season is to play here. I like Baltimore.

(39:36):
Thirty one twenty should be a fun game, though, it.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
Should be a great game. Can't wait a lot of
great games. Tonight's game, Well, you've got Oklahoma Michigan. Now
do you want to get into that? The final game
listed is no, we're gonna no, we're.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Gonna get that as We're gonna give that as a
free game and have something real strong on this game
when I was setting both teams, it took me a
long time. I just finished yesterday, just finished yesterday watching
every single team. I got to see every Division One team.
I got to know what they're doing. It's gotten a
lot tougher. It's not like the old times where teams

(40:09):
rolled out the same team, just that a few guys graduate.
There was double digit teams. There was ten teams that
had at least thirteen new starters out of the portal.
So just shows you how different things have gotten here.
So you want to get Oklahoma and Michigan just called
eight hundred four hundred nine seven four one. Give it
to the first ten callers, Oklahoma Michigan huge game for free,

(40:33):
eight hundred four hundred and nine seven for one. Also,
if you want to hear me other days of the
