Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome back to EVE Sports Radio. Excuse me for that pause.
I'm dealing with technical difficulties, that's all. It happens October
the ninth, twenty twenty five, Thursday. If you didn't know it, Yes,
this is the day I fly by the seat of
my pants. No co host, just myself. Well, of course

(00:21):
we will have Lee Stirling coming on with me at
seven forty. He was four and one last week starting
to get his groove and you better not miss without
a doubt. If you are a gambler, you don't want
to miss four and oh I think he's now won
thirteen out of fourteen football games. So it's your opportunity
to get some information. So that's seven forty. Before that,

(00:44):
of course, I just want to again thank my man
Billy Hayes. We talked a long time the other day,
had a great conversation. Yes, we're going to Florida and
I'm going to try to beat Billy and golf, no
question about that. But right now, I just want to
thank Billy for supporting EAVE Sports Radio with the contest. Guys,
because the contest is huge. There is five hundred dollars

(01:05):
riding on this. At the end of the year. I
do have track, guys, I have track. I know who's
winning and who's in first, second, and third. If you
go to my social media, Scott Bowage has done a
tremendous job. He has now put a chart up that
will put up about it once a month to let
you know where you're standing. The top eight. I've got twenty.

(01:28):
I've had twenty four people call in. I've had twenty
people call in every week. No that's not true, eighteen
every week. So we've got people that are being consistent.
I appreciate that and gave away one hundred and fifty
bucks last week. I don't plan on doing it this week.
Even though it's Bill's money, I still don't plan on
doing it. So that's first thing. Do not forget the contest.

(01:50):
Get your scores in. Call now so we can get
your scores in. Because tomorrow I met my third Simmons
College High School game day. We are final going to
Athleton High School. George and I have been talking about
Athletons football program. It has really turned around. We're going
to be at Atherton tomorrow. They host Butler, so we'll

(02:10):
be at Athleton High School tomorrow morning. So again I'll
take scores, but I won't be able to get in
as many scores. When I'm talking to the coaches and
let directors and players, I just want charge to know that.
So I've got things that are going on. So let's
make sure we start pushing and getting our scores in
for this week. This week is only a fifty dollars week.

(02:32):
If you get into the Briar's patch with me and
you win, it's one hundred dollars week. But I don't
plan on letting anyone win this week. I just don't.
So it's the best you stay out, take the fifty bucks,
go to the movies, enjoy yourself. But you get in
that Brier's patch with me, you're gonna come out with
scrapes and cuts. That's all that I can say. Scrapes

(02:54):
and cuts. Now, Oh boy, Yankees, major League Baseball. It's
been interesting. But as we will know, Yanks are gone
just undisciplined. Chisom not coming up the ground ball hit
directly to him, I mean directly to Okay, he had

(03:17):
to move two feet, maybe he had to shuffle his
feet one time, doesn't come up with the big catch,
ends up being the end of the Yankees for this year.
I don't know if Boone will survive. I'm not sure
if he survives this year. We'll have to wait and see.
At least Aaron Judge had a tremendous I mean a

(03:41):
tremendous postseason almost bat I think he got it over
fifty and had a huge home run that they had
to have to stay off elimination in the last game.
So congratulations to Aaron Judge because a lot of people
have been very critical, very critical of his playoff production.

(04:03):
Not his regular season. He's a great player, but his playoffs.
So we do know. The Tigers and the Mariners, guys,
Tigers nine to three, what a comeback. I watched some
of that game. The Cubs for the three of the Brewers,
that's another one, two to one. The Tigers and the

(04:23):
Mariners are two to two in their series. The Blue
Jays have eliminated the Yankees three to one with the five.
The Phillies eight to two over the Dodgers. They played well,
they were able to hit the ball finally got to
the Dodgers. So it's two to one in Los Angeles

(04:44):
with the Dodgers and the Phillies. So at least the
Phillies have continued their series hopes. We'll have to wait
and see. So again, all four teams played. It's great baseball,
it really is. Every pitch means something. So make sure
if you're not watching, give it a shot. That's all
I ask. Give it a shot. I think you'll be really,

(05:06):
really entertained. And playoff baseball is different. That's all there
is to it. It's really different now WNBA. Yes, the
Ass ninety to eighty eight, the Mercury. They're now a
three to one. The series is over. Just melody in.
It's a technicality. Melody in. That's all there is to it.

(05:29):
Huge shot last night. As everyone knows, Asian Wilson is
the best player in the WNBA. It's not close. Everyone
knows that she's dating bam At a Bio, a really
good friend of mine, great young man. So congratulations great
game three to one. They're still game four. Yes, yes,

(05:50):
I guess you could say Mercury could win for in
a row. I guess, but I wouldn't put any money
on it. That's all, none whatsoever. Now, I just saw
talking about gambling and putting money on things in my contest,
which is free. That's not gambling. That's Billy A's paying

(06:11):
me enough for my sponsorship package on my radio show
to have a lot of fun with you all. You
all just get to put your scores in. But I
just saw this morning that which was inevitable, the leaderships
in the NCAA are going to allow I don't know
how they could stop it anyway, but they're going to

(06:31):
allow college players to make wagers on pro games. They're
not professionals, they're collegiate players, so they will be able
to make wagers on pro games. Isn't that interesting? I mean,
that's just kind of interesting to me that finally, I
don't know how they can stop them from wagering on

(06:54):
college games, being honest with you all, but they're trying to.
But they have and they're going to open up the
windows where college athletes can gamble on pro games. So
before we just everyone gets in an uproar and it's issy.
We have all made wager on the Super Bowl. We've

(07:15):
all gone to Super Bowl parties, We've all done that.
I'm just not a gambling man going I'm cheap, so
I've never been big on gambling. I bet on my
University of Louisville number number five across the board derby week.
I have fun with that, and five wins some but

(07:35):
that's not gambling. I just randomly, I'm gonna pick my
number and I'm gonna yell for number five, and it
could be the favorite or it could be the worst
force in the race. But there are a lot of
people that this gambling is infectious. They truly enjoy it,
love it, wait for it. I don't know how they

(07:56):
do it. I don't know you can watch a game
like we do at the college games with money writing
on it. I just point that's just so hard. I
have a hard time just trying to see what I'm
trying to beat my contest. But people really do gamble
a lot of money. So for college players, and I'm

(08:17):
sure each school is going to have seminars, I'm sure
they're doing this and trying to help these young men
understand that you need to control your vices. We all
have them, that's everyone, not just athletes. Regular students have vices.
We all have them. The most important thing to do
is try to control your vice. So, yes, they're opening

(08:38):
up something that everyone can do, and student athletes are everyone,
so they should have the opportunity to wager if they
want to on pro games also, but I would really
want to tell them it's a slippery slope. It's really
really dangerous. It's something that long term, a non gambler

(09:01):
is going to do better in my opinion than a
gambler long term. A non drinker is going to do
better than a drinker long term physically to your body
my opinion. That doesn't mean people can you're bad or good. No,
we all have ices. We all have them. I do
not judge them. I told my team, but I told
them the same thing I'm telling you all. The better

(09:23):
you can control your vices, we all have them, the
better off your life will be. So now that the
windows are being opened up to the golfers, student athletes,
some some not most. Some have disposed to income at
this time. I hate that. I wish they would disposable
income standard and four or five hundred disposable income, real

(09:48):
estate property, rental property, a home for themselves, a lot
of places you can put your money other than in gambling.
So yes, to get ready to open that up. I
just hope that all my coaches do their due diligence
and explain to the young kids with all vices drugs.

(10:11):
Your life's better without drugs than with drugs, that's all.
There is a lot better. So I just hope coaches
do their job and set an example. Set an example.
I want to explain something to you all. Coach Crumb
and I had a player that was of age and

(10:34):
on this Saturday night without drinking, and was seen at
a club drinking. He was not drunk and came to
Coach Crumb's desk. He called in all the staff, Scottie Davenport, myself,
Vince Taylor, and we discussed, well, what do you do? Well,
everyone knows Coach Crumbs a non drinker. Easy for myself

(10:57):
not drinker. So which Crumb and I said, why don't
we just say, hey, the staff and the team, let's
just not drink during the season.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Know what got me?

Speaker 1 (11:08):
You don't know how much pushback we got and that
you couldn't say that we couldn't do that, being honest
with you, for the entire staff and the players not
too well. We adopted it anyway, you all know, Coach Crumb.
We adopted it anyway. It was the right thing to do,
and we just said, hey, nobody, staff members, trainers, anyone managers.

(11:30):
We all are in this together. So we're going to
tell the player that was of age not to drink
and we weren't on the dream and that again, I
just hope that coaches take that same stance. So guys,
we're at seven to seventeen. Get your scores and I'm
gonna get to break when I come back. I told
yo yesterday, I've been waiting for this segment. I was

(11:52):
up last night at one o'clock thinking about this segment.
Look at me, stay tuned. You're gonna be interesting to
hear it. E Sports Radio Phone numbers five zero two
five seven seventy nine hundred. That's five zero two, five
seven one seventy nine hundred. We'll talk to you after
the break. Welcome back to EVE Sports Radio phone number

(12:12):
five zero two, five seventy nine hundred. Get your calls in.
Just remember tomorrow I will be at Atherton High School.
So let me give you your email. My email it's
J L E A V E S five five five
at yahoo dot com. You can send me your scores. Again.

(12:32):
The game that matters is I you at Oregon. We
have Ohio State at Illinois, Alabama at Missouri, Oklahoma at Texas.
Those are the four games. It's a four game week,
Louisville and Kentucky, right bye week. So let's go look

(12:53):
at me. What's that mean? Look at me? Well, I
did coach for a long time, which professionally for seven
years with professional players. So I want to give you
all the quick story. Baron Davis, number three player in
the NBA draft. I'm the assistant with the Charlotte Hornets.
Recruited him to University of Louisville, couldn't get him to come.

(13:16):
We did play them. They defeated us in the Fairgrounds.
He played extremely well, pointing at Scooter McCrae and I
the entire game. He's coming out, I'm with the Charlotte Hornets.
He tells me, Jared, I'm not coming to Charlotte. I'm
not coming to work out for you all. I said,
that's okay. To beat Baron Davis, you don't have to
come work out. We're still gonna draft you, which we did.
Two days after the draft. He comes in, sticks his

(13:38):
ahead in my office, closes the door and know everyone
else is out in hallway. Bob Basset, you and the manager,
Paul Silas, the owner George Sheen, everyone's out in hallway closed.
The door has a few choice words. We hug and kiss,
he comes out. We bust out last well. During his
rookie season, he was really good, but we brought him
off the bench. And when David Westley wasn't playing well,

(13:59):
I'd say, coach, get Baron Davis in. He'd sit right
next to me. He used to love me. I said,
we need to get b d in. He used to
love me, he was, I mean, he loved me. There
was a game in Washington. Baron is now a starter
the second half of his first year, he's playing like
a dog. During the time out, he sees me, look
at Paul and says, we need to get BD out,

(14:21):
get David Wesley and he doesn't talk to me for
two days. Finally, in practice, I know he's because he's
just ignoring me. He would do it, I said, in
practice and got it. Baron Davis the best. Remember everyone's
plays the best. But he was being belligerent. So I
finally said, because I knew he's been beligerate and Paul
and I said, you know what, when you piss off
your better players, that's the best thing he could ever do.

(14:43):
That's how you get their respect. I finally said, manie,
what's your problem? That was Baron Davis. We called him
b D. He said, I heard you said you heard me? Said,
y'all heard you in the game the other night, said
get me out. I said, yes, I was trying to win,
Like I said, get you in. I said, I was
trying to win. He bust out, laughing, gives me a

(15:06):
big hug. That's my man, Baron Davis. My wife will
tell you. He used to say, what do I do
with my money? What should I do with my money?
How should I invest my money? I mean, Baron Davis
and I were really are, really really good friends. So
that was the start of letting you know about look
at me because I can't believe the Arizona Cardinals that

(15:28):
are now two and two in their conference instead of
being three and one. They're in the business of winning games.
That's the only reason they're together. Guys. Professional sports is
not cooon bay y'all like colleges. I mean, you hear
all the coon by y'all from the college coaches, and
it's about winning also. But the NFL, NBA is about

(15:49):
winning games. That's the reason they're together. Well, i'mori Demacardo.
Demccardo drops the ball before he crosses the goal line,
drops the football. This isn't the first time this year
that this has happened. Guys, come on now. Indianapolis, the

(16:14):
wide receiver Jones dropped the football and was criticized last year.
A great running back with the Indianapolis coach Taylor dropped
the ball. Guys, we've seen the Sean Jackson, the great
wide receiver with the Eagles, dropped the ball years ago
and was crucified during the game. The announcer talking about

(16:36):
to Shawn said, that was a bonehead play. Don't forget
for all the football fans like myself, they've been watching
this forever. Leon Lett and the Dallas Cowboys had thought
he had scored a touchdown, puts the ball out in
his right hand, get ready to cross the goal line,
and as the ball knocked out of his hands, leon Lett,
you remember, I'm sure you all remember. If you're google

(17:03):
leon Let shot Jackson with Philly, you'll see the players
come up and the coach for doing this job player,
he touched the player. Okay, coaching players relationship. I think

(17:30):
I saw Kelsey bump the coach in Kansas City and
I thought I saw the coach bump Kelsey this year.
This year, guys coaching players relationship. Players are supposed to
trust their coaches. That's the main job of a coach

(17:51):
is at the trust of your players. You all can
say what you want. The talking heads were saying what
they wanted. Half that team gets paid by wins. They
don't have the huge guaranteed contracts. They do not. They
have to win every game. They're trying to make the playoffs.
They need the playoff money. We hear about Dak Prescott

(18:12):
sixty million. We are all the quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson fifty
two million, and Allen fifty five million, and Burroughs fifty
eight million, and great, I'm glad for them, but most
a lot of those guys are making four or five
six hundred thousand. They need the playoff money. They need
to win. This dropping the football the NFL needs to

(18:35):
put in of course, I do like everyone says, it's
a horrible rule, the touchback rule. No, it's not carry
the ball across the goal line. Very simply, they need
to take a playbook from Emmitt Smith, leading rusher in
NFL history. When he scored a touchdown, he kept the football.
He took it to the sidelines with him. He never

(18:57):
dropped it. It's look at me mentality. As we go
to break, they have to start to party before they
finish the play. I hate to tell them, and I
mean this, the coaches could not have harped on it
because the players are still doing it. So coaches, you
need to be very simple and blunt with your players.

(19:19):
You drop that football and it's not of force fumble,
don't worry about it. By the time you get in
his locker room and the game's over, you'll be looking
for a team. Paul Silage used to tell the players
all the time, Yep, you make more than me. But
I'm happy with my two and a half three million
dollars a year, my ten million dollar contract. They can
fire me today too. I'm gonna get paid too. I'm

(19:39):
happy with the money I'm receiving. So don't think you're
the only one with control. Coach Gannon, you did the
right thing. I don't care what Arizona did finding you. Finally,
I think you'll see this start to slow down. We've
seen college kids do it. Guys. It's the dumbest player
I've ever seen. I'm a former anthlete. It has to stop.

(20:02):
You can't want to party that bad. You just can't.
You just can't. It makes you look like they said
about DeShawn Jackson probably fifteen years ago. What a bonehead play.
It's the dumbest play I've ever seen. It's time for
it to end, period point blank. If you can't handle
your emotions and finish the action which is scored the touchdown,

(20:26):
you're not a professional and you should not be in
the league, period point blank. So is Eastword Radio seven
twenty nine. I'm gonna get the break when we come back.
We got a few tidbits before. We have Lee Sterling
on Eastworths Radio, wh numbers five zero two, five to seven,
one seventy nine hundred. We'll talk to you after the break.

(20:46):
Welcome back to the Swords Radio seven thirty three, October ninth,
twenty twenty five. Yes, we got the contest. Get your
scores in. Lee Sterling will be coming on with us
at seven forty. I've got a short clip from coach
Kelsey who's going to help me kick off my Simmons
College first tip Off luncheon, and he's going to be
a speaker along with Wade Houston. I appreciate Coach Kelsey

(21:09):
for that, but I want you to listen to him
in the ACC the media day yesterday. So Shannon, play
the clip please.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Well, I think from a department standpoint, it starts with
our department leadership, and that's Josh Hurt, our athletic director.
And that's one of the things he told me from
moment one when we had our first discussion about me
becoming the head coach at the University of Louisville is
the family aspect of our athletic department and coaches pouring
into each other, coaches, you know, investing in each other's programs.

(21:40):
We say all the time that we are a yes program.
I tell everybody on our staff we are a yes program.
If anybody in an organization, any coach, any athlete, anybody
at university athletics has something, the answer is yes. And
then it's what's the question? What can we do for you?
And there's a department full of people that feel the

(22:02):
same way. We meet with recruits for each other, we
cheer on each other at each other's games. And the
funny thing is Josh's mentality about that family atmosphere.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Fits I appreciate your s and I want you all
to know that. I reached out to coach Kelsey and
the first thing he asked me, he said, is yes,
just let's find a date. And when we found the date,
he was in one hundred percent. So he says, Jerry's
you are a family. I said, well, Coach Kelsey, he laughed,

(22:33):
he laughed, trust me, he said, I got you, Jersy.
Sometimes people don't say that at Louisville. But I love you,
thank you, and he will be at my first Tis
College tip off luncheon. So that's great. Now here's the
deal front page of today's paper. I know y'all don't
get the curate of journal, but see all Brown. You
all know he's been on and we'll be on very

(22:55):
very soon. Lack of talent is hurting a sec on
national state. I wonder if everyone's going to be upset
for cl and he's finally catching on. I just said
it when it was happening. People were a little slow.
Now everyone is saying it. Lack of talent is hurting

(23:16):
acc on national stage. And cel Brown was a little
upset because they didn't bring some of the top flight
freshmen like Brown to kill Brown, University of Louisville some
of the guys who would have liked to have seen
them at the conference meeting. But the ACC has true
issues and they've gone to an eighteen game schedule so
they can play more non conference opponents so that they

(23:39):
can have an opportunity to beat them, so that they
can elevate the ACC where it used to be. They're
trying to elevate the right thing to do again, without
a doubt, they're making the right decisions for the ACC
because they have to start to play nine commres opponents
and beat them because the league it's not strong now,

(24:00):
it's just not so there are a lot of things
going on at the conference meetings. I think Louisville and
Kentucky their schedules are too strong this year for the teams.
So I want everybody to know upfront Louisville and Kentucky
have brutal non conference schedules. Brutal. I'll get into it more,

(24:21):
probably Monday with George because we'll be doing our game
day show tomorrow at Atherton, so it'll probably be Monday,
but I'm going to start to break down the basketball
schedules for both teams and the things that they've done.
They both have Didnny Crumb schedules, guys. Coach Kelsey, Coach Pope, congratulations.
I just want the fan bases for both programs to

(24:42):
know Coach Trum wasn't winning about worried about winning every
game early, guys, he just was not we want our share,
we want our share, We lost our share. But he
was trying to make his team the best that it
could be at the end of the year. And I
agree with that philosophy one hundred percent. But you can't
be frightened of losing g James. So both coaches are
showing that they're not worried about their record, playing a

(25:05):
bunch of Patsy's, having a bunch of wins, and not
knowing where their team is. That's all there is to it.
Not really understanding what they have to do to improve
their team to advance. And this year's NCAA tournament, So guys,
seven thirty eight, we're gonna go to break. When we
come back, it'll be the e one and only Paramount Sports.
But least Sterling with US four and one last week, guys,

(25:26):
he's starting to get his feet underneath him. With the
college games, professionally. He is rolling. You would have made
a ton of money if you'd have been taking Lee
Sterling's picks on the NFL games. Is he sports Radio.
We'll talk to you all in a minute. Welcome back
to Eves Sworts Radio seven forty one. Wasting no time.
Bring Lee Sterling to the show. Lee, how are you?

Speaker 4 (25:50):
I'm good, I'm good, can't compline.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
You messed up, you missed, you messed it up.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
We're gonna have two undefeated teams ready to square off
on a Friday night.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
We did. We messed it up.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
My Cardinals. I had told I had predicted two unpredicted,
defeated teams, and my Cardinals let me down. God, they
let me down. When you have two when you give
away two touchdowns with the defense scoring them pick six
and fumble. But here's the deal. I just went Lee
when it's not coach Brom's fault that they fumbled. But

(26:23):
if he kicks the field going fourth down, we're not there.
You're three to nothing nine. But every coach, now all
the way to Kirby Smart went for it down three,
didn't kick these field goal. I don't get it anymore.
I just don't get it. I just I just don't
get it.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
No one wants to. I saw that.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
I don't you know what happened in like three or
four games last week too, Jerry teams get down to
like what yard line did they kick the field goal from?

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Not kicked? Kicked the field? Well, go far to fourteen? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (26:53):
What your line was it? Where they went from thirty?

Speaker 1 (26:56):
It was a thirty It was a sixty one yard return. Yes,
they were on the when in nine yard line return?

Speaker 4 (27:02):
I saw a couple teams inside the ten like fourth
and fourth and two, fourth and three, go for it
and just put up to three points, feel good about
taking the lead. And you know when you go all
the way down there, uh that far or even further
and don't come up the points to first drive.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
I don't know. I don't get some of these coaches.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
It's a negative taste in your mouth to me. I
just and they have Littleville has excellent field goal kickers,
excellent two of them.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
It's like, well, yeah, so it.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Wasn't coach Brobmin's problem about the fumble, but it is
the decision to go for it on fourth down instead
of saying great drive, we three downs. We didn't get it. Done.
Let's put three on the board. Put pressure on them.
Let's see what well those days are done. It's seven
points or nothing, right now, that's all. So that's where
we are. Nellie, here's the deal. If one more football

(27:55):
player doesn't cross the goal line, Manute mccar they don't
cross go line one time, they need to cut them.
I can't believe the coach got fined and got fine.
I can't believe. I just can't believe it. Their job
is to win games.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Oh my high school coach, I'd still be running a
week later.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Absolutely absolutely. It's the dumbest play of everything.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
And he had to apologize on top of that, Jerry,
he had to apologize.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
It's a different world. I'm being honest with you. Don't
get it. So let's go. You're rolling now four and one.
You've got your footing with his college games four and
one last week. Your NFL records a just spectacular. It's
crazy now trying to find out where all the players
are and how the teams are settling in. But you've
got it under Locke. Four and one is a great record.

(28:44):
What's going on with Davis before we get into the game.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah, all right?

Speaker 4 (28:48):
Also on a sixteen and three run for our clients.
So I went ten and one over the weekend. They
want to hop on board, Like I said, not October.
We call October. You can get every single game through
the end of the month on our phone service. This
is where we rate him from ten to fifty units
and looks like, well, how probably another big unit play
this weekend another forty to fifty unit if things work

(29:10):
out correctly and they can hop on board normally four
ninety seven. Use coupon code save three hundred, Save three
hundred every single game through October thirty first, just one
place Paramount sports dot com.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
There you go, let's get it going.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
It's my game.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Also Indiana at Oregon seven and a half point favorites
orgon what happens in that game.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
So google this. There's an article out there. Young kid
wrote he's predicting. He's predicting the NFL Draft and he
has Fernando Mendoza going first.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
This kid must be smoking something.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Obviously he qualifies. He qualifies to be the next Miami
Dolphins GM because it is not happening. So I've seen
the kid play ten minutes from my house. I see
him play at Miami Columbus a nice kid. You know,
he's great against nobody.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
So let's look at what he's done on the road Iowa.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
This year they scored twenty points, okay, mediocre. Last year
with Cal on the road, they got whipped a SMU
thirty eight six scorch six seventeen fifteen. They lost at
Pitt fifteen points at Pitt, and then nine at two

(30:33):
and ten two and ten. Florida State lost fourteen to nine.
So he's great when you're playing nobody. He actually had
a good game against Miami at home.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
This is on the road here.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
Dante Moore has his team five and zero here. Their
offensive and defensive lines are the best in the country,
even better than Miami's. They are that good. So I
don't see it. Just think that the Ducks here twenty
four and thirteen against the spread run here. I know
the Hoosiers have been good, but you know, maybe it

(31:06):
downgrade them a little bit because Penn State isn't great.
We're finding out now, but still going on the road.
That shows something. They should have won that game by
three touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
They played a lot of prevent in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
I'm taking I'm taking the Dutch here thirty seven to twenty.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
Seven thirty Yeah, I'm going with the DUTs to cover
the game of the week, Alabama at Missouri Alabama.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
They may they may have turned the corner. The boys
may have turned the corner. They're playing well. Defeated Vanderbilt.
Now they've got Mazoo. Can they take care of Miszoo?
It'd be three ranked opponents three weeks in a row.
Can Alabama keep that level of play?

Speaker 4 (31:48):
You know, I don't know if they can't.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
And now they did a great job.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
I mean, they go to Georgia and they beat Georgia,
but maybe Georgia isn't great. You know, Georgia should have
lost tendancy, should have two losses. Then they come home,
they play Vanderbilt, they beat him. Yeah, probably shouldn't have covered.
Now they got to play a team that has a
quarterback just like the quarterback Diego pavia Vo Probella from
Penn State who Penn Sate would love to keep. They

(32:15):
made a mistake look cutting him loose. He has nine
touchdown passes, He's completed almost seventy six percent of his
passes and has three touchdown runs. But what makes them
different than Georgia and Vanderbilt and anyone they've played. Ah
Mad Hardy, the transfer running back from Louisiana Monroe for Missouri.

(32:36):
He leads the nation is seven hundred and thirty yards
nine touchdowns. He's averaging over seven yards to carry the
last two weeks. George and Vanderbilt, their running backs don't
even have half that total, not half. And that's their weakness.
The tide is their run defense. They allowed seven point
one yards per carry last week. The Tide's not going

(32:58):
to roll here. Missouri pulls a shocker thirty four thirty.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Oh well at home, you're thirty four thirty. I agree.
Florida State at Pittsburgh, that's a laugh for come on now, well,
not not necessarily, but Florida State should handle them.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Have you seen the quarterback?

Speaker 1 (33:20):
No, I haven't seen. Well, the Louisville game is when
they make the change. If you remember, Pittsburgh made the
change in the Louisville game. So I have not seen him.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
No, no, no, no, But this kid, no no.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
That was his senior the senior kids, eighth freshman Mason Henchell.
So he's gonna make his first start on the road.
Look great. Last week and he carved up Boston College.
Now he's gonna make a couple of mistakes. They're gonna
throw a couple coverages out and you're gonna make a mistake.
But Florida State was getting pasted twenty eight three. Miny

(33:52):
just sat prevent defense in the fourth quarter. Just let
him get those five seven eight yard games. So I
think defensive line is actually very good here. This line
shouldn't be this high. I four State winning thirty five
thirty one in a shootout. But I think I think
you know about right now, eleven points way too much.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
Yep, yes, because that's the Louisville game is when he
did bench the starter. I don't remember the young man's name.
He did the in the fourth court. Yeah, yes, he
put in gazals. So I have not seen the freshman.
I have to make sure that I try to watch
that great Informationally, that's what if you own Notre Dame
North Carolina State. Notre Dame North Carolina State.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
So the Irish have allowed just twenty points of last
two games, pretty good at the favorite, eighteen and five
against the spread. They kind of, you know, were laboring
around offensively last week, barely managed to cover against poise,
but uh will back right now not seeing much from
this team. Number is similar. It's the Irish pass for me.

(35:00):
North Carolina State has a pluthor of offensive skill position players.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
What they don't have.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Here NC State is they don't have a defense. They
allowed Virginia and Virginia Tech to run for over two
hundred and twenty nine yards in each game. Jeremiah Love
is gonna gash them here. Notre Dame Big forty two seventeen.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Notre Dame will win the rest of their games in
my opinion, and people will be talking about them in
college football playoffs again. And I just Morgan, I like
their coach, I like well baby.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
But I just oh, I love I love Marcus Freeman.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Yeah, let me tell you something.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
They get they get in against, they get in against
the right opponent. I'm not saying they can win it all,
but they could. They could get in and win a
game in the playoffs and and make it tough for you.
So they tied up Miami right at the end, so
showed you they got something that was.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
On the road.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
You do like Miami, you do? You is a yeah,
but but but it's.

Speaker 4 (36:02):
A long season. Things change, things change, You know, I
think right now, if I had to say the top
three teams, I would say it's Ohio State, Oregon, and
then Miami in that order.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Well, I'll stay, can go back to back. You think
I'll State will go back to back.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Anything can happen.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
You know, last last year, Oregon got him at home
and then Ohio State great game playing in the playoff.
You know it can be reversed.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
You know, Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Could get him in and in the Big Ten championship
game and then you know, it's crazy how they both
ended up in the same bracket for the playoffs last year.
Never should never should have happened. Notre Dame was kind
of given a free pass having to play you know
some some some teams like Indiana and the first round
at home and then and then they got to play

(36:55):
Penn State, which had no offense, couldn't for the football.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Well, Franklin survive or is he gone before we get
to the Coats and the Cardinals. Is Franklin going to survive?
At the time for the league in State.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
I think they're gonna give him one more year. But
you know, if you're looking to win at all, he's
not the guy.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Just not the guy.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
He's not the Guyuy, Yes, exactly builds a great program.
He's just not the guy. Let's go coach Cardinals. We
just spoke about the Cardinals should be three and one
instead of two and two. But they had a football
player that could not hold on to the football across
the goal line, and the coach got I can't believe
what we're saying. He had to apologize to the player

(37:38):
and he was fined one hundred thousand dollars. Andy Reid
bumped Travis Kelsey. Travis Kelsey bumped Andy Reid. Honestly, Kansas
City suspending her finding Oh crazy, what happens in this game?
Coats are pretty good. My brother lives in Indy. Colt
are pretty good.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Yep. If they are good?

Speaker 4 (37:59):
And right here, here's the thing about Arizona. They play
their best football when they're an underdog and no one
expects anything at them. I'm not saying they're going to
win this game. Here's what I can see, Kyler Murray
running around for four quarters doing just enough keep the
Cardinals in it with a chance to win it, but
not enough, not enough for them to actually win it.

(38:21):
That's that's it. In a nutshell, that's the Arizona Cardinals.
Don't worry about any other players, doesn't matter who they're playing.
This is this, This is the scenario where they do
their best work. Indianapolis wins twenty seven to twenty four,
Arizona covers to seven points.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
So you need to know.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
You got a question. Yeah, I got a question for you.
With these coaches, when is Jones gonna be Jones? Come on, now,
no one expected for him to play as well. You
didn't either, to be honest, when is he gonna go
back to the New York Giants? Jones?

Speaker 2 (38:53):
It could happen, It could, it could, but.

Speaker 4 (38:59):
You know, he and the offensive line is good, but
he didn't have sporting cast. He might have had Barkley
running back, but had no receivers. Just thinking he was
in the right situation. Now, I'm not saying they're going
to go all the way, but I think they have
a good chance to win the division. Crazy crazy that division.
No one, No one expected it to beat them in Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
No, Jacksonville's pretty good. Their defense is really good. Yeah,
Jacksonville defense is really good. I mean I was surprised.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Really good, yeah, really good.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Oh yes, yes, they've got the one young man. It
was from Kentucky. You remember Alan from Kentucky. Yep, Hira
Monstrates and the other one that took Yes, they took
it ninety nine yards. Jacksonville is gonna they're hornable. If
Lawrence continues to be solid, Lawrence can.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Get a little pick.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Also, they're going Jacksonville's good. I mean, people better get
used to that. All right. Then you've got the Rams
and the race.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
Yeah, it's going to be a blowout here, Rams or
or can the Ravens, you know, keep it close. I
mean they got to start winning some games. They want
to have any chance to get in the playoffs, So
they're just trying to bide their time till mar Jackson
