Speaker 1 (00:02):
You have to love the last. Welcome back to EVE
Sports Radio, October twenty second, twenty twenty five. Of course
it is Wednesday. We're halfway through the week. If you
work Monday through Friday, it just depends on how you work.
Some people work Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. They could
be done. It just depends. But it is hump day
for most people. So welcome back, Thank you for listening

(00:25):
to EVE Sports Radio. Phone number is five zero two,
five seventy nine hundred. That's five zero two, five seven
one seventy nine hundred. This is Sports Talk seven ninety KRD.
We've got Shennon behind the glass and we've got the
one and only my co host of the day, Scott
Bulwage on the other line. Scott, welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
How are you oks, Good morning. How's everything going today?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Well, Scott has like this. I had to do my calisthenics.
I was in a little fog. I was writing some
pregame notes, some pregame notes this morning, and I wrote
University of Louisbolle versus Friday, not Kansas, but University of
Louis Louisville versus Friday. So it's just one of those mornings, Scott,
I think exactly. I stayed up too late watching those games.

(01:16):
That's the problems got. I don't need double overtimes at
the first NBA games. I just don't. I stayed up
a little past my bedtime. But that's not another one.
That's OK. It was a good one. Oh my Goshga
went to work again, though, officials. Get the call right,
Kevin Durant call time out, his time out. It's technical, Gosh,

(01:40):
get the call right. We've got all the video in
the world. Now, get the call right. That's all critical
point in the game. God, I'm not saying in the
first quarter. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about
late in the game. Get the call right. That's all.
So anyway, Yeah, it does well. We'll talk about all
those things. But here's the problems guy, for we get

(02:00):
going on. We've got college basketball. I'm going to the
Louisville game. Don't forget Kentucky's gotten number one rank Purdue,
number one rank Purdue. I don't even know what to say.
The University of LIUI of them Kentucky basketball game is
gonna be played before the football game. Don't call in

(02:22):
and jump to basketball. We've got to get football done first, house,
said Scott. Jesus, they've confused me. But yesterday I had
seven people send me their scores. So I just want
to announce I have yours to White. But you've got
to call next week. Got George, Jeff, you got to
call next week. Charlie, Have you got a call next week? Kevin,

(02:45):
you got to call next week. Of course, Ac sent
me his score. I don't know about you, Ac. I
haven't decided yet. I still got the mute button on you, Ac,
but I got ac score also. So guys, now, these
points are crazy. I want everyone to understand, since you
did not hear them, call to be fair with people.

(03:08):
I want to give them a chance to understand where
we are. Dwight took Texas A and M twenty seven
to fourteen of LSU, So first day's total on the
people they did call, Adam, Greg, Joe, Steve, Mike, it
was a mixed bag. Some had LSU, some had Texas
A and M. I mean it was a mixed bag.
Hit or miss Dwight. Of course you all. He took

(03:32):
Texas A and M twenty seven to fourteen, so I
mean you're trying to get your scores together. Listen to
me now, Jeff Texas A M twenty four to ten,
Charlie Texas A and M thirty twenty, Ac Texas in
LSU thirty five thirty one, Kevin Texas A M A

(03:53):
and M twenty three nineteen. So that's what we have
so far. They're going both ways. But everybody starts to
look at that spread, Scott, trying to pick that spread.
Thank you, trying to pick the spread. And it's just crazy.
So Scott, we already got our first caller and he's
going to appreciate you and kill me. But I'm used

(04:14):
to it. I'm tough, Scott, That's all there is to it.
I'm like Mohammed Ali, the greatest of all time, can
take all comers. Bring on my first call of police yet,
and let's bring Blend into the show planning.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
How are you, good morning, Coach Scott. I hope you're
doing great this morning, buddy. Thank you again, Coach Scott
for coming on the show and bringing, uh, bringing some
expertise to it that's deeply needed.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
And the other guy, well, Jerry, you know, good morning too,
and I hope you're doing good.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Thank you here for take notes.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Nice speaking with you. I'm trying to tell you eleven
minutes after the hour, and I've already got my gloves on.
I'm ready, though I'm not writing at all. Well, what's
going on? Tell me what's going on?

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Jerry? Jerry, I'm not even talking about that with you
because of the champs in the studio this morning. But Jerry,
I'm want to ask you. Last night, I'm on a
serious note here. I flipped on the NBA game for
a few minutes. What is the deal with Ammerance now
sponsoring or whatever? Referee that? What's going on with that?

Speaker 1 (05:23):
They take all money? You see that now everyone would
take every dollar. They don't care where the dollars come from.
They're taking the money. That's all there is to it.
I can't tell you, but they're going to try to
sponsor all sports. It is what it is. That's all
I can say to you. It is what it is.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Well, yeah, the Saudis are bringing all that all money
over here, and it looks like but no.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
They started with base with golf, and we were all
upset a little bit about it, and of course I was.
I wanted people to stay the course, but we know
that the golfers took the money. They took the money
more than half took to guarantee easy money. Okay, And
I'm not mad at guaranteed money, because of course NBA
players and coaches we had guaranteed contracts. But in golf

(06:12):
it was built a little differently, so they changed the complexion.
I didn't like that now that I saw that, just
like you did. I'm sitting there going, boy, they've got
more money and they're just giving it away. There's a
lot of things we get do with that money, but
I'm not in charge. But some things I'm not in
charge of. That's all. I have an opinion like everyone else,
but mine doesn't mean anything, so I just hate to

(06:35):
see it. I hope that they can curtail this. Most
leagues have rules on who can own teams that's to
be voted upon, so I hope that they stick to
it and just don't say more money the better. I
just hope they don't so anyway, but I'm gonna leave
it at that. That's that pint.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
But well, I've got scores. Whenever you're ready, sir, I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
The only one that matters, And I had a I
mean it went crazy yesterday. I think this one hundred dollars,
No Briar's Patch two hundred dollars is starting to draw
more people. Being honest with you, I've got twelve people.
I've never had that many going into Wednesday. That's the most.
So well, it's the game.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
That's a lot of time.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
No, it is, no, you know what, because I want
it to be hard. And since I'm collecting the games, Scott,
you'll get it again at the end of the month.
Scott will total them. We'll publish them again once a month.
We're going to publish them. And I have guys, I
have them all, trust me, I do. It's really nice
to see how this is starting to add up five
hundred dollars. No, Briar's Patch just win out this year.

(07:43):
I think it's really good. So let's get started. Texas
A and M at LSU.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
All right, Jerry, I'm gonna take Texas A and M
thirty five to thirty one.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Okay, looks sure, I think you're good. Let me just
check the front page. Yes, I got paper. No, it's
not on computer. Leave me alone, everybody. It was like, God,
leave this guy. Yes, third grade reject proud of it.
I don't care. Okay, I've got you. Let's go U
c l A at Indiana give me, there you go.

(08:18):
This one's not an easy call. This is a mixed
bag ole miss had Oklahoma. Give me don't forget Okay?
Is everyone forgot that Old miss had George? Georgia scored
seventeen unanswered to win that game. Do you know that
in the fourth quarter?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah, a home I would tack old Mess.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
But I'm like, okay, okay, I just want people to
know it's not you know, everyone says lang Kiven's team rollover. No,
they played the mess out of Georgia. They really did.
You've got Boston College at Louisville.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
I mean, come on, give me the fighting, uh, Jeff Lombards.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Okay, you have got Rocky Top at Kentucky. I'm not
saying upset like I did last week. But I told
you all that Kentucky could beat Texas. Oh no, Angery,
I said, Okay, okay, if they could score twenty three
points like Channon said, Kentucky could win win win games.
They just can't sl but if.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
They could take I'm gonna take Tennessee. But it won't
surprise me if Kentucky wins this game.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Okay, Yes, I person made a good point yesterday talking
about they scored a lot against Georgia. They did, and
Georgia scored a lot. We know that Tennessee secondary is
the worst in the SEC. I'm just hoping Kentucky can
find a way to score twenty one to twenty three points.
Have a chance, but they have to score twenty one
to twenty three.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Last game another nail bier. I almost wanted to take
this game more than I wanted to take that takes
an LSU. But I like that game. I like that
Valley LSU has to have. This game is Missouri at Vanderbilt.
That's another good.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Well Gary and Hono the great World champion that's in
your studio. I'm going with Vanderbilt. Okay, and yes, can
I get my course Jarrett?

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Oh yes, no question. But before you go, I want
people to know most people have taken Bandy. I have
one Missouri, I've got two Missouri. I only have two Missouri.
I like Missouri myself, I really do. I think Missouri
wins that game, so we'll have to see. Yes, please

(10:32):
bring Mary on Garry Radio. Thank you, are you? Thank you?
The game, the game that counts is Texas A and
M A L s U.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I have Texas in twenty eight LSU thirty five.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Are no briars pats I know usually don't, but I
know blanded does not. Are you getting in with me? No? Sorry?
I love it? Okay? You still at Indiana. I am Indiana.
That's been one hundred percent so far this week. Oh,

(11:17):
miss at Oklahoma, I have Oklahoma, Boston College at Louisville.
I have Louisville. The boys club is coming into play.
Tennessee at Kentucky. I have Tennessee, Missouri at Vanderbilt Vandy. Okay,

(11:42):
everybody likes Dandy. Got you man, I've got you down.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
Thank you, thank you, Jerry, you have good time.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
You too, Bye bye bye. So Scott again, we're going
quite a few this week because the money is starting
to collect. All I say is if I win again,
then the money will we'll go up another Okay, Oh,
I can't believe. Before we go to break, let's get
because he drives trucks and cannot drive and talk. Let's
bring on sleepless. What's going on? Seminal criminal? Your team

(12:13):
is so bad.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
Hey, Hey, good morning.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
Yeah, I went to the doctor yesterday and I told
him how I was stealing and my symptoms. He said, yeah,
just just stop watching the seminos, you'll be okay.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
I told him.

Speaker 6 (12:30):
I said, I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to
die on that one, Sarah, because I can't stop watching.
But yeah, that that was pitiful.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
Hey, when I sent you that text, hery, I didn't
mean for you to put that put that out on
the radio, because I figured it out and I thought,
if I could get everybody to not do that for
two weeks straight, you'd have to pay out for two
weeks straight. But I didn't want I don't want to
say it on the radio. I just sent you to text.
I didn't need for you to put that.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
Out there, So I'm not gonna bring it up again.
But uh, let me give you my sport.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I can.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
Listen to the show yesterday.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
Go back and.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
Listen to the show.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
We can win.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
It's that sharf. It's got your money.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
He's got your money. Stay out of the Everybody wants
to double their money. Everyone taxas a m L s U.
What's your score?

Speaker 6 (13:20):
Let me have LSU twenty five twenty one.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
You see lad Indiana, go ahead and give me I
U old misson Oklahoma.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
Oh, miss Okay, I like that call.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Boys Club at Louisville.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
I'mn go ahead and go with Saint X. Oh, I'm sorry,
you'll be trinitybody. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
You're young, Yeah, I know what you mean. Tennessee at Kentucky.

Speaker 6 (13:56):
I'm going with Kentucky. I bet he kicks those still
goals this time and not mess up the chance of
winning the game. He could have had that game.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
He'd have been up to stick.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
There's no question about Missouri at Vandy.

Speaker 6 (14:10):
Give me Missouri, Shannon tooth on your commodores, drop that anchor.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Drop that anchor. See you, thanks, Sleepless, Shannon, take your
break at seven twenty. Appreciate you, Sleepless. When we come back, Hey,
here's the bad thing, Scott, When we're gonna come back
with the ACC We thought we had Clemson, they were
supposed to have won it this year. They're awful. Florida State.
We thought they had bounced back after the first game.
They're awful. I don't know yesterday, and we're going to

(14:39):
get into this college football playoff team. They were talking
about again the a SEC being a one big league.
This time they said they will not squeak in too.
If Miami is not in the championship game, there's only
going to be one team from the ACC. Get in, guys,
it's critical that this league's improved, improved. It's just not good.
Eastwarts Radio will talk to you after the break, popping
back to you radio. Yes it is winning. See Hunt

(15:02):
Day twenty second of October. I've got Scott on the
other line, chatting behind the glass. Scott, let's go to
Nashville News. Let's get in some things that are transpiring
in sports. Man.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
It's as we've been talking, this is a great time
of year. We've got college football in full swing. We've
got the NFL in full swing, at the World Series
wrapping up starting on Friday, got the Dodgers and the
Blue Jays, and Dodgers coming as a heavy favorite, but

(15:34):
can't count out Toronto because after watching that game seven,
you know, you're just making it this far. They you know,
they have a chance. They don't have much of a chance,
but they have a chance. And also we did the
opening night of the NBA yesterday, and you know, we
talk about you know, staying up late watching those games.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
And I don't know why they did.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
They got two I wanna say Central and West Coast games.
They forced you to stay up late to watch those games.
And first one, people talk about, you know, they don't like,
they don't like watching the NBA during the regular season,

(16:18):
which I get, you know, kind of players getting cruse control.
But those first that first week of the NBA where
everybody's kind of playing with a little bit more intensity.
Especially last night, you had I mean two heavyweights going
at it. I mean Kevin Duran and the way he played,
and the Rockets, you know they they started. Do you

(16:39):
see their starting lineup?

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Oh yeah, six seven six seven feet Oh they're huge.
She meant that the three at sixt eleven. No, they
were huge, Yes, I saw them.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Average average was around like sixt nine six ten mm hmm,
I like crazy.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Okay, see yes, Reguard you Okayse he just could not
hit a three pointer in the first three and a
half quarter. It wouldn't have been a close game. Yes,
he just couldn't hit a shot. I mean, Chake Gildens
couldn't hit a shot. He got his mid range the game,
but when he got it going though, my goodness, oh
he just he's the best mid range player in the game, period,
point blank, and a lot of people don't know. Early

(17:23):
on Michael Jordan was the best mid range player. He
improved his three, but Mike was the same way. He
lived in that eighteen foot range. So that's SG eight,
really good. It's got all I know about this NBA.
When we get to our next caller is this. I
was watching last night's game, just thinking nineteen eighty two, Dallas, Texas.
My mother flew in who was living upstairs to watch

(17:46):
the game. I'm playing against Marco wire McDonald's all American
with myself and other good players and Marky and I
got rest his soul. We were roommates, rookies. Just think
about this, YU, all NBA players rooming together because we
didn't want to pay for a single room. That's why
I told the WNBA. I told them, I love you. You're
doing a great job. They are, Caitlin Clark, but slow

(18:10):
your role. I had a roommate. I mean forty thousand dollars.
That was the thirty seventh year, thirty six year of
the NBA. The WNBA is crying for private planes and
just slow your road, Jesus, come on, everybody wants it overnight.
They wouldn't be able to. They would have cried to
me out of told him the truth, got out of
told him the truth.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Your roommate was Marky.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Yes, yes, I took the closest bed to the bathroom
because I would have tripped over his legs, because his legs.
If you all don't know, Mark Eaton was seven foot five.
Mark one of the leading shot blockers and NBA. The
nicest gentleman you'll ever find. They found him, they drafted him.
He was a mechanic working on cars. He went to UCLA.

(18:53):
I'm talking about a fine gentleman, the nicest guy you'll
ever meet. But yes, he had to take the far
bit because at night I would have tripped over his
legs trying to get to the bathroom. Seven five. We
roomed together all year and half of our second year.
Scott had half of our second Didn't sound.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Like you had like a four bedroom apartment or a
three bedroom apartment, not even a two bedroom apartment.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
That's why when I hear all the people complaining, I
was like, boy, just just take a chill peel. But
Scott I scored eight points. I was so happy. I
didn't know what to do. It was just my mom
and I ate. After the game at the highest regency,
we walked to Reunion, which is now torn down, but
I just was reminiscent. I said, Mom's upstairs. Boy, Golly,

(19:42):
how time passes got forty four years ago? Scott forty
four years ago? So wow, that's all The league has
grown and done well, and I'm glad to be a
part of it. I think I did my part, and
I just want everyone else to do there. So anyway,
so Scott, we got to get to our next collar
before we get to break roggedown. Greg, what's going on
with you? How are you? I'm morning Jared, Good morning

(20:05):
to you, Brokaying you ready to make some money? Don't
be scared. Don't listen to the people saying don't get
into Brier's patch with me so that I have to
pay out. Try to get the big money. It's free money.
So Brogtenner, are you frightening now? I want to know
you're frightening to getting the Briar's patch. Sure, and let's

(20:27):
go with it. Then Texas A and mt LSU give
me LSU twenty seven A and m twenty.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Okay, you're the only one.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
I'm going to the under of LSU wins. It will
be a low screen game. I'm taking twenty six. Ucla
at Indiana.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
Give me the Hoosiers.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Jerry Whole question.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Ole Misson Oklahoma.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Where's that game at Oklahoma?

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Oklahoma?

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
Boston, Yeah, I gave you. I give you a call. Ye,
Boston College.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
At Louisville, give me the cards.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
I'm gonna leave Boston College alone. I'm not gonna call
him the Boys Club Tennessee Rocky Top at Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
I love to pick Kentucky, but I just can't do it.
They can't. They find a way to lose. Uh, give
me the balls.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
I got you. They just can't score, gotcha. Just what
you must be able to score. That's all there is
to it to win a game when they're keeping score scut.
Everybody talks about defense and pitching is important in baseball.
I give you, But the bottom line is you've got
to be able to score some runs. That's all there
is too. You've got to be able to score. Missouri

(21:51):
at Vanderbilt Frogtown, really good game. I think it's senior Day.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Give me the Commodore's.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
I've got you bro ken, I've got you down, brother,
appreciate you all.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Right, Thanks Jerry, Thank.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
You, Scott. We're gonna stay on task. At seven thirty
two when we come back, we're going to get into
this college football playoffs before we touch basketball in the
games that are going to happen Friday. But we have
to talk through this top twelve, what it means to conferences.
Of course, the SEC may have legitimately seven of the

(22:28):
twelve legitimately, guys, and we're going to talk about it
after the break. Seven thirty five, No, seven thirty six.
Welcome back to Eve Sports Radio. You have to be
there at eight o'clock. You should be moving now, Scott.
Of course we've got more callers. As the money goes up, Scott,
the interest goes up. I see that now. So the leader,

(22:48):
we can't even make them hold I know the leader,
because Scott, everybody wants one hundred dollars. It's the easiest
thank you, Billy Hayes. It's all like it says, thank you,
towny country, coming of Dodge, thank you five hundred bucks
at the end, Scott. That will get people's attention. So
we have the leader so far, Brandon is on the line.

(23:11):
So Brandon walking in the sports radio. I was gonna
make you a hold, but I'm not. I'm not gonna
make you over since I scared you. You were five
and oh, you were five and oh and got beat
by the Kings. Just say the king.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
I'm three and one against you and I and that's
all me. You know, I came into that fight overweight.
I underestimated you. I shouldn't even took the fight on.
I still had a broken hand from where I wept
on your head last time. But uh, you got me.
You dropped your cane. I went to pick it up.
You hit me with the upper cut.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
And I was out.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
I was at like, you got me.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
I love it, but I got you.

Speaker 6 (23:50):
But I'm ready for you.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
I'm in the bush with you again, and I've been training.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
That's good with it. Well, as of last month, you
were leading, and I think you still will you win
five and oh you were the only person that went
five and oh last week the only person. So let's
get with it. Texas A and m at L s U.
You've been to go Texas, Let's go number three at LS.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Let's go Texas A and M.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
I'm just not sold on L s U and let's
go twenty eight twenty four.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
I've got you and I'm twenty fourteen, twenty three nineteen.
You're good UCLA at Indiana. Well, what are you doing?

Speaker 4 (24:37):
You're taking the over are under? What are you gonna do?
You're in the bush with me, You're doing the over
the under.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
He's trying to escape this one.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Then you already trying to run from the fight.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Man.

Speaker 6 (24:51):
I feel what you did there?

Speaker 1 (24:54):
You did it LS shoes. Oh god, that's the mom.
I'm taking the twenty nine twenty nine. I just want
to give away any money I will give. I'm taking
the over twenty nine Texas in twenty nine, I'll let
you twenty four. I'm gonna drop my cane again. You're

(25:14):
gonna pick it up and I'm gonna drop you.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
See you, man, This this is the game that I
think is gonna be a lot closer ever since U
c l A got that new coach, they've been rolled with.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
But but I'm gonna go Indiana.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
I'm gonna go Indiana.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
That's one hundred percent. No one is taking UCLA, No one.
Oh miss and Oklahoma mixed bag on this one.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
Give me give me Oklahoma at home.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
I think Sooners are tough at home. Their defense is tough.
They do a really good job. Boston College at Louisvio.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
Give me the cards, come on, gotcha?

Speaker 1 (25:56):
And everybody has seen since Ventable left Clemson to go
to Oklahoma. Uh, we always doing a lot of that
coaching because Clinton's awful. Since he's been gone, devil has
not gotten it done. So Oklahoma has turned it around.
And they used to play no defense. Guy, Oklahoma would
try to beat you sixty fifty nine. Oklahoma hits you now.
So minimal has done an excellent job. They're head coaches

(26:17):
they got from Clinton has done an excellent job. Tennessee
Rocky Top Atkin Tucky.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Rocky Top, Tennessee of Yo, Tennessee, Baby got you.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Missouri Vanderbilt another mixed bag.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
I know it, I know it. It seems like Bandy
just can't get home field of vanish because everybody likes
going to Nashville.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
So give me Missouri.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
I think they show out.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
Give me Missouri.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
I had to tell you this one is when I'm
going with Missouri. Also, I really am I'm taking that
I think they I've got you down. You go five
and on I beat you again. I hope you beat
you again.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Did you try the Hen in the Hall down there?

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Yes, Scott, please tell us we did.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Yes. Oh my god, that's good stuff.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Man, it's good. I had the chicken and waffles. How
did you find that place? Truly?

Speaker 4 (27:13):
I go down there about six or seven times a
year to the hard Rock Casino or at the casino
at Dana Beach, and oh yeah. One day I just
googled it and I walked in there. I said, oh man,
I'll never go anywhere else.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
I'm being honest. It's we ate outside. It's a fantastic spot. Yes,
I'm glad for that reference you gave us because we
had a great time either though. Scott was soft. But
I'll tell you that later. I'll tell you talk to
you about that off here. Appreciate it got you that, Brandon,
Thank you, God, look you for the tip. Yeah, God,
bless you. Thank you for the tip. Guys, if you

(27:47):
ever go Hollywood, Florida and hn in the Hall, it
is really breakfast and lunch only, really good, really good.
So Scott, let's get with it. Top twelve, got you
Top twelve. Great, and we'll get to James Ward get
to break. It's got top twelve. We know how State
sitting there ruling the roost. We know Indiana's second place.

(28:08):
The Big Ten has won it two years in a
row now too. They have won at Ohio State Michigan
back to back. It looks like they're trying to do
it again. Then you've got the SEC, Texas A and
M Alabama, Georgia, they're always in the hunt, Ole, miss
Is in the hunt, Vanderbilts in the hunt, Oklahoma, Missouri,
Tennessee and a lot of teams. What do you think transpires?

(28:32):
What happens when it comes down to the committee and
this year picking teams? Will they give Big Ten and
the SEC they're due? Will they put nine of those
teams in one ACC two one Big twelve team?

Speaker 2 (28:49):
So here here's the problem is you have your you know,
looking at the final twelve, you know they have their
their who's in their top twelve, but then also looking
at the actual brackets, they have South Florida in there
as the twelve seed as the American Conference.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Will happen? Won't happen. I'm sorry it won't happen. I
just got out of it.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
So if that, if that, if that does happen, that
knocks out you know, Notre Dame. That could knock out
another A SEC team, Scott.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
When Notre Dame lost the two games, I said, I
don't care. They have nobody on. Okay, yes, they defeated
as USC. Okay, USC is playing better this year. For
come on you, there's still USC. This is not the
old US. That's all there is to it. It's not
the sixties and seventies of Notre Dame USC. It's not.
So let's don't think about that. The problem is this
Notre Dame has not going to play US soul. They're

(29:50):
gonna I said, they're gonna win all their games, and
they've already got them at twelve. Again. I'm so tired
of that. I don't care what Notre Dame does. They're
gonna put Notre d Amen Scott, period, point blank. And
I'm tired of That's all there is too. I told
you they open up a two, they would be Purdue, Arkansas,
Boise State, c State. Let's see, they got Boston College,

(30:14):
Navy will be a competitive pitt Okay, Syracuse and Stanford,
and they're gonna get in. I don't agree with that.
I just don't. I'm tired of it. They're gonna put
them in. That's one spot taken that someone else has erves.
So anyway, that's my rant. Let's keep moving on. What
else do you think eight from the Big ten and

(30:34):
the a c S Big ten and the SEC eighteen?

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Easily?

Speaker 7 (30:41):
Yes, easily, could be not you know you've got could
be you've got b yu who's winning the Big twelve
right now? Well that's two more and I went under that.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Maybe a South Florida, maybe a South Florida. I just
don't see it. But they'll put Notre day men. They'll
bump South Florida. Trust me, I'm telling you they will
bump South Florida and put Notre Dame in. Here's the
problem though, with Louisville fans and what's going on. Great
win at Miami. We were there, Scott went to the game.
Also played well. Carson Beck played for Louisville and he did.

(31:18):
I'm not no more Carson Beck for me anymore. Just
the deal. If Miami is not in the championship game,
the a SEC is only going to get one team in.
They said it last night. They were doing their first
dry run of this. It was on ESPN. I agree
with them completely. The ACC will get one team in

(31:39):
if Miami is not in the championship game. Here's the
problem for Louisville. Miami and Louisville both play SMU at
SMU must win for both teams. Miami must win. They
can't have two losses. They'll be out. Louisville has to win.
They'll have exactly They'll have two losses, which will bump them.

(32:00):
Georgia Tech plays absolutely nobody until they play Georgia, which
is qualege at the end of the year, which won't
hurt them either way. But they play absolutely. They played Pittsburgh.
That's all Georgia Tech has. It's Pittsburgh. Guys say, just
not enough quality wins. Louisville has to win out. They
gotta beat Kentucky. They gotta beat Clemson, who I hate,

(32:20):
but Clemson can beat them. They'll have to beat Clinton.
They will. Clemson will at least try Louisville, Kentucky will
try Louisville, Clinton will try Louisville, and s MU. Love
has to win out. That's all there is to it.
Boston College, Virginia Tech, Boston College on win four in
the Conference. Virginia Tach's one and two in the conference,
Cow's two and one at this time, but call their cow.

(32:42):
Clemson's two and three in the conference s Mus three
and zero, and then they have Kentucky rival game in
the year. So the ACC's gonna get one team. Guys.
I'm telling you all that today. I've been saying it.
And when Florida State went the way of the Dodo
bird and Clemson, it really killed the a SEC. It
really did. So anyways, got let's get to our last calling.

(33:07):
Our next caller, not last calling, James, Welcome to the show.
How are you?

Speaker 2 (33:12):
How you doing? Jared?

Speaker 1 (33:15):
I can't complain, James, Can I complain at all? If
y'all don't know this, Yeah, this is the guy who
spent my rent money up in University of Lilio. I
don't know why he's steal my man. Yeah, what forget it, Martin,
And I'll never gonna let you forget it. James. Ever,
this is.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Brandy figure Brandon's they got you punched drunk.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Brandon thinks he does. You got stayed, Brady, you got
people cheering for you. Let's get with it, James, Texas
A and m at l s U.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Uh Brandon, I picked my score a while ago, but
I'll take a twenty seven twenty.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
One LSU or Texas and Lash. Who's your winner? Li
Su twenty seven twenty Okay, Okay, thank you. That's what
you get for waiting so long. When people wait, the
sports get taken. Not my fault. You get a chance
to hear people score. But I'm glad he took you score.

(34:16):
Hold up, James, it might work out, Okay, bro, he might,
It just might. Okay. Are you gonna get in the
Briars matcher? You stand out? You sleep?

Speaker 2 (34:26):
I win one time?

Speaker 1 (34:28):
You will. Okay, it's a hundred dollars. I understand.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
I don't want the hundred.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
It is you still that Indiana?

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Indiana?

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Okay? Oh? Miss at Oklahoma Oklahoma. Everybody's staying with the
home team a lot. Boston College at Louisville. Louisville is
Louisville good, James? Are they good? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Thinking data?

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Okay, Yeah, They're defense played really well. Their defense played really,
really really well. They played really well against Miami. They
shut my Miami's running game completely down. No one wants
to say that, but they did completely down. Tennessee at Kentucky.
Mm hmm. Let's see Missouri at Vanderbilt.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Andy stuff and hun'ld give me bandy.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Okay, I've got you, we got you down. Thank you, James,
appreciate your brother, Thank you. Yes, we're gonna get the break, David.
You gotta hold. I've gotta get my last break in.
I'll come back with David and we're gonna talk a
little bit about Friday yights basketball games. Kentucky Purdue number
one rank Purdue Louisville Kansas, both ranked opponents. Talk to

(35:55):
you after the break. Welcome back to Eastmore Tradio Wednesday. Guys,
halfway there, halfway there, got shut them behind the glass,
doing a great job. Scott. We're sitting here and we
got David on the line. Let's knock David out and
then we got to talk about this these two games. David,
welcome to sports radio.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
How are you David. I'm giving away one hundred dollars.
I'm not doing well. If you're getting the Briars patch
and beating it's two hundred. This depends on what you
know I'm getting David. You know what I'm getting you.
I know you are Texas A and M at LSU.

Speaker 6 (36:29):
I like Texas A and M thirties A twenty six.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
Anybody got dad?

Speaker 1 (36:34):
No, they do not know, they do not. I'm taking
the under on that fifty six. I'm taking twenty nine.
Gates got you on that one? U C l A
at IU, Indiaana, Oh, Miss at Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
I'm gonna take Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Those people have gone with the home team. Boston College at.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
Louisville breaks my heart to take Louisville, but I have to.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
I got to. Everybody wants to. I told you I
love this because it makes people want the money more
than they like the teams. Yeah, that's a track meet.
It's a track meet. I mean, this is not a game.
Tennessee at KI, Who're gonna take that?

Speaker 3 (37:20):
I won't take Kentucky. I won't take a shot.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Okay, take a shot that. Honestly, you have to take
a shot to win this thing. Most of the time
you have to go.

Speaker 6 (37:30):
They played, Hey, they played great against Texas.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
They should have beat them.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
We watched Scott and I tell him Scott. We left
the Louisville game like I always do it after. I'm
sorry you all. I don't watch all games. I've been
doing this all my life, but I watch them on television.
We watched the finish of Louisville game, and we watched
the Kentucky game. Take you should have won the game.
My goodness. Oh they had a chance.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Tell them, Scott, we were in there going crugrading Tucky.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Just it was tough.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
It was really tough.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Zouri at Vandy.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
This one's a tough one.

Speaker 6 (38:06):
I'm gonna try Missouri.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Okay. I like Missouri, so you're not the only one
and the person that is leading the overall. Also, Brandon
took Missouri, so you're not the only one. David. I've
got you. I appreciate you, man, love you for listening.
Thank you you k have a good day, you toot.
We got two games. We've got Louisville Kansas, which I'm

(38:29):
going to just got my credentials email. You know, everything's
even on now. It's got poor guys like myself that
have to go online and do things. It's just frustrating.
I like this to walk up and show my ID,
but you've got to go online. I can't wait. I'm
waiting to see the new pieces at Louisville. I can't wait.

(38:50):
To see Brown. Of course, I've heard so much about him,
I have not seen him play. It'll be my first
opportunity to watch Markel Brown junior play. I do want
to see Ryan play the guard from Kensall State Conwell.
I want to see Adrian Whitley, how he fits in
from Virginia, how he shoots the ball. I do Jason
Pryor my man is back. I want to see how

(39:12):
he plays. I think Louis was a little slim with
their big men. I think that's their weakness, is their
big man. But we have to wait and see. So
we got Ali Khalifa who will be playing won his
appeal Scott. He's playing seven feet. They used to play
for coach polk at Byu. He's known for his passing nobility,
so I want to watch him play. I'm kind of

(39:33):
looking forward to that. What's Kansas hand? I know Bill's self,
but I don't know anything else about. What did that have?

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Well, Kansas has, you know, a solid freshman guard, Darren Peterson,
who's preseason Big twelve Freshman of the Year, so they're
already predicting that for him. So you know Athletic can
score the ball. They've got Jayden Dawson, senior guard who
I know again just brings that leadership with that I

(40:03):
know about it. And then also Marcel Jackson, Okay, Mark
Hill Jackson sophomore guard forward who again size, versatility, so
it'll it'll be a good matchup. It's exciting, you know what.
It's exciting that they.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
It is we're out of here. Great job, Scotty, appreciate you.
Talking to you next week. God will and put a
smile on your face. Love you all, Bye bye,
