Louisville game was one of the huge upsets that he
did not pick. No one did, just being honest with you, Yeah,
that's not true. Three people in my time test did
out of twenty one, so I guess a few people did,
but not very many picked that upset. I didn't, along

with quite a few fans also in Miami did not.
But that's one. But he'll be calling in it seven forty,
and we'll get his views a lot of great games.
Some of his games are my games, and some aret
so we'll have Lee calling in. We'll call it in.

the seventy five team, the junior Bridgman team that didn't

the better Coach Crumb teams, wouldn't have won one either.
So the only thing I know is Coach Beer won
a world championship, just like West Hunt Sale and have
done things no one has ever done from this program ever.

first World championship ever for a Louisville player in the NBA.

Brown Junior, the young Man has come in with much

Daryl won it as a senior, came back his junior
season and said I wanted to win one and did,

have not seen him play, so Friday night, I'll be
there early, like always to beat the traffic. I want
to watch him warm up and I want to watch

want to see how he carries himself, how he handles

the pressure of a game. There's gonna be pressure. Kansas
is going to get after him. Kansas has got a
very good freshman guard also, so it's going to be
a nice little matchup to watch. There will be a

about this Louisville team, and I'm one of them. You
got Ryan Conwell from Xavier sixteen and a half points
a game from Xavier. Xavier is a nice team. Xavier's
always been a good team. They've got a lot of
good players. They've put a lot of players in the

a strong, strong guard corps. So now I'm gonna have
to watch and see Rin Smith. Last year, guys, I
know it's only Rin Smith six feet little kid lefty.
These guys are big and I'm gonna get to a
few of the other shooters. Guys. Ren Smith had every
big shot that he could take last year. I think
there was only one or two games that it seemed

like he didn't make every three. So I just want
you to understand they still have a lot to replace
because Rin Smith didn't miss last year. Coach Kelsey himself said,
I'm not worried about it. When I draw up a play,
Rin's gonna hit every big shot. We're gonna have to
wait and see if Ryan can come through. Ryan is nifty,
pretty good off the dribble, so it's gonna be interesting

to watch him tomorrow night. We've got McNeely Isaak McNeely
from Virginia that is supposed to be the Wren Smith
replacement fourteen point four. I watched him last year, big body. Yes,
he can shoot over some people that Wren could not,
But I think Rin Smith had better range. I do

so I'm gonna have to wait and see how they
work him in the thing With coach Kelsey. That is
a lot like Coach Crumb. He runs plays out of timeouts.
He gets shots for the players where he wants them
to get it, and then he gets the shot for
the picker off of that player. He knows how to
get option one, two, three, and four off plays. I

love that, but Coach Kelsey, I do. I like running plays.
I don't like pick and roll basketball. Everyone knows Coach
cal was my guy, but it was too much pick
and roll freelance create. I like plays to be run.
I like players to get shots where they practice them

to earn another year's eligibility. It's going to be important

I did not watch him at BYU, so this will

it's my first time watching case and Prior. Everyone knows.
I've known Casey prior since he was a little kid.
His dad coached Anthony, my son that's in Saint Matthew's
fire department. I've known him quite a long time. How
he'll come back off his injury is going to be
pivotal for the University of Louisville. Brings a lot of

energy to the program. But we still have to wait
and see set out eighty percent I want to say
eighty five percent of the season last year he set out.
I don't know when he'll be ready to play. I
don't think he'll be ready my opinion, until mid December,
early January. I don't I just don't see him being

mother was diagnosed with cancer, so have been with her

of medical issues at Parkinson's, especially for thirty one years,

and hopefully she can just have whatever she has left
is peaceful and she's happy.

it's so tough. I've got my mother right upstairs living

hundred and thirty six teams. You're not going to beat
elite teams like that, and Pittsburgh gives you a lead
against the run here. I think the wolf Pack is
just two one dimensional and that's going to be their problem.

quite as good on a consistent basis as they showed

some first downs and they run the ball. Teams that

of the time, they're short in the game. So Miller
Moss is fine, he's fine, but you're not going to
just continue to blow out teams coming off. I think
a big win like that, I haven't win in thirty
five to seventeen. I have PC actually getting the cover,

Let's see, here's the key with Miller Moss. He didn't
have to pass it fifty times. If he passes it
fifty times, there's an issue. Miami game. I think he

What I mean, is Miami a good running team or
is Louiville's defense improving?

Well? I think Miami has talent to be a very
good running team.

They're stubborn.

They run the same play up the middle like ninety
percent of the time. And Louisville was smart. They schemed
up day two weeks to prepare and they were good
on the defensive line. They also deflected a lot of passes.
So what they did was they said, Okay, you want
to run off tackle, it's there, but we're not going
to give you right up the middle. And ninety percent
of Miami's running plays are there. Miami should have run

(37:07):
some rpo. They didn't. And you know, sometimes you're you're
hard headed, and you have your list of plays and
you're gonna say, okay, we're gon we're gonna run these plays.
You got to prepare differently. I remember, like, for instance,
my senior year in high school, we had lost We
graduated eighteen out of twenty two starters from the year
board before. I had an offensive line all tenth graders.

(37:29):
I had a bunch of receivers. Literally, they're all ran
like four nine or five flats. They could catch the ball,
they just they weren't beating anyone deep. So what do
we do every week? Every week? You're ready for this,
you won't believe this. So we decided every single week,
our coach said, we're going to run a completely different offense.
We're going to put in sixteen new plays. So one

(37:51):
week we would run the veer. The next week we
were running the spread with four and five wide receivers.
So teams would come in they had no idea how
to prepare for it. And one week I ran I
was a returning starter on offense. That's it. Me and
me and me and and one receiver. That's it. And
so we decided, you know, put me in the shotgun.

(38:12):
I'd run the wishbone one week. Something different every single week.
So it worked. It didn't work when we got to
the state playoffs in the semifinals because playing the team
is just so much better than us, but they got
us there. So that's what you have to do. You know,
if if you want to be good, you can't live
on your laurels. And that's what that's what Miami did that's.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
