Speaker 1 (00:01):
EAT Sports Radio. It's October twenty third, twenty twenty five,
Thursday in Louisville area, if you did not know it,
and unbelievably, it's cold outside. I'm just gonna be honest
with you. It's not chilly. It's cold around forty degrees outside.

(00:21):
I hate to say that it's coming. I hate that
word winter. But it will be upon us before we
know it. So welcome back to the show. I just
had to give you some low weather news just to
let you know. But this is E Sports Radio. I
am the brand phone numbers five zero two five seven
one seventy nine hundred. That's five zero two, five seven

(00:41):
one seventy nine hundred. This is Sports Talk seven ninety KRD.
I'm flying by the seat of my pants by myself
on Thursday. I kind of enjoy Thursday. No co host,
just the Shennon, the dude behind the glass of course,
waiting to take your calls like always, the best in
the business. I'm still not frightened. I know you all
want me to be frightened of Shannon, but I'm just not.

(01:03):
He's a nice guy unless he's in the rink, and
then I'll just get him from behind that's all. Sometimes
you have to just do what you have to do
to win. But let's get back to what we have today.
A lot today. We all know that seven forty, I've
got to get all my things in seven forty. We've
got Lee Stirling calling in. Last week was a difficult

(01:23):
week two and three for him. He had won three
weeks in a row until last week. Of course, the
Louisville game was one of the huge upsets that he
did not pick. No one did, just being honest with you, Yeah,
that's not true. Three people in my time test did
out of twenty one, so I guess a few people did,
but not very many picked that upset. I didn't, along

(01:46):
with quite a few fans also in Miami did not.
But that's one. But he'll be calling in it seven forty,
and we'll get his views a lot of great games.
Some of his games are my games, and some aret
so we'll have Lee calling in. We'll call it in.
So we've got to get those things out of the way.
We know, without a doubt, I think this will be

(02:06):
my largest week. I'm sitting at nineteen and I haven't
started Thirsty yet. Everyone knows it's an easy crisp one
bill if you do not get in the Brier's Patch.
So thanks to Sleepless, thanks Sleepless to let everyone know
stay out the Brier's Patch. Jerry's pays every week. True,

(02:28):
that is a true statement. But Sleepless, some people try
to beat the brand. They think they're better than I am.
I lure them into the patch. They have an opportunity
to double their money. They put nothing up, they come
into the patch and sometimes they get shaved. Sometimes they win,
most of the time they get shaved. So, like Sleepless said,

(02:51):
thank you Sleepless. If you stay out the Brier's Patch everyone,
then ever, there will be a payout each week. It's
one hundred this week. Because I've beaten you all so bad.
It's comical, that's all. I've beaten you so bad. So
it's best you stay out the Briar's Patch with me.
Don't step in with me. I'm pretty good in here.
I like it in here. So anyway, stay out the

(03:13):
Briar's Patch. Win one hundred, Get in the Briar's Patch
and beat the brand. Win two hundred. Can't beat. It's
not gambling, it's free money. You put nothing up. I
have to do is listen to EVE Sports Radio, and
I appreciate you all for that, and honestly, I want
you to go by Chuck Cane. Is it Town and
Country any Ford that you want? I almost bought the Raptor.

(03:35):
Chuck almost had swayed me to the Raptor. Kenny Blatton
is it Commonwealth Dodge? As soon as I got in
the Dodge? Y'all know I love Ford. My brother worked there,
you know, my best friend works there. But I had
to go with the Dodge. Kenny Blattin's there. They'll take
care of you. They'll take great care of you. Billy Hayes,
owner of both, has stepped up huge or Eve Sports Radio.

(03:58):
That's why the five I have to give you all
Town in Country. I appreciate him listening to the show,
which he does and think that I have a value.
So thank you Billy. And of course I told you Chuck.
Kyne's the coolest guy I've seen in the car business.
Being honest with you, he's just cool. And Kenny Blatton
is the biggest cat fan. He's not cool, that's okay,

(04:20):
but he's a commonweal of Dodge. So anyway, let's get
on to what we have. We've got most of the
news out of the way. First thing is are first guys.
I don't listen to other people's radio shows. I just don't.

(04:41):
I'm just busy. As soon as I get off my show,
Shannon gets to his and I get to Simmons College.
I got work to do. I've got a luncheon next week.
I've got games Friday and Saturday. But I have things
to do, so I just don't. But I have a
lot of my friends that do, and they keep Coach
Beert and I posted, you will know that you'll listen

(05:04):
to my show. I don't speak about anyone else in
a negative light. I don't. I don't even speak about them.
You won't know that I don't. I was taught a
long time ago no reason talking about someone else's show
when I've got my own, and I agree with I
believe in that. But when people call you out by name,
you know, when people call me out by name, which

(05:27):
I just would like for them to say, Jerry Eves
Eves Sports Radio seven ninety KRD from seven to eight.
I just need to teach them that. I think I
have to take give them a lesson or two so
they make sure they get it right, but when they
do and I have to kind of address it, It's
kind of interesting the ideas and the concepts that some

(05:50):
Louisville fans have and the negativity that some not many.
I'm gonna be honest with you all, guys. Most of
Louisville fans come up and tell me I do a
great job. I'm being honest with you. I tell the truth.
I'm just being straight with you. But there are a
few that are twisted. So the phone blows up yesterday,

(06:11):
and of course one of my competitors that's on with me,
and it's talking about the reputable damages that we did.
I'm like, we who who's we? Well? But your beard
of course, Jerry Eves a brand of course, Milk Wagner,

(06:32):
the Wagners, Kenny Payne, former coach, Billy Thompson, Darryl Griffith. Like, hmm,
I said, that's interesting. Daryl Griffith got Lee. They even
attached Daryl us and Darryl's Dary's the best. I said, Okay,
what was it? Well, since I guess I don't know

(06:57):
this to be true, guys, I'm just telling you what
was said with my name in vain yesterday. They can
keep my name in their mouth, though, please just say
it properly. Jerry Eves e a Ves that their reputable
damage is that we had done to the program was
the reason why that they're having a hard time selling

(07:17):
out the Second Bowl. I'm like, who, And they're talking
about University of Louisville and Coach Kelsey's team, which, if
I remember correctly, and I've said numerous times and Josh
heard so before they changed the words out of my mouth,
Coach Chelsea did a phenomenal job eighteen and two, twenty

(07:38):
seven and eight, biggest turnaround ever ever. And you've never
heard me say one negative thing about biggest turn around ever,
Josh heard. I've known him for quite a long time
now and is a personal friend of mine, really good
friend of mine. And honestly, if I call him, picks
up the phone. I just don't bug him with BS.
I don't. But if I call him, he picks up

(07:59):
the phone. Job, I don't get it. But the reparable
damages from us backing Kenny Payne the two year tenure
of Kenny Payne. Now, guys, I said on the sports radio, Yes,
I understand. In the college business you have to win. Now, guys,
I understand that you must win, So it's not like

(08:24):
that's something new. I've only done this professionally, where I've
fed my family collegiately and professionally my entire life. Now
I'm in Simmons College. Is my give back time, and
I'm glad that I can because it's just my give
back time. Is the best job I've ever had. But

(08:44):
no one knows how important it is to win, because
that's what I've done all my life. I'm just being
honest with you, all my entire life. I want it.
Ballard State Championship. I got my picture hanging on the wall.
Thank you Ballard. I love Ballad. I'm being honest with you.
You all know that I don't care. I love Ballot.
It was a great time. I love what I got.

(09:04):
Paddled by Pat Crawford. I was wrong, guys, not a problem.
White gentleman paddle to black kids. You know what. He
gave me a choice. You know which one I chose.
He said, call you daddy. I take three LIGs. I
said you better warm up your arm. That's simple, guys,
best I've ever had. Good people. University of Louisville great people.

(09:29):
Coach Crumb that man, I told you, just a very
good person, guys. But winning was important. We knew we
had to win. We wanted to win. We had great goals,
and we achieved those goals. I mean, I won a
national championship. I went to two final fours. If us

(09:49):
Reid doesn't hit eight honestly fifty five fifty eight foot,
I go to three. When in this time, I think
in Louisville history, the best teammates in the world all
can pare editors. Let me just give you a tip
from my propaganda. Let me just give you a tip
about the team that you don't know much about. Darryl

(10:09):
Griffith late great Derek Smith, Scooter Rodney McCray, Wiley Brown,
Jerry Eve, Roger Berkman got me. Tony Branch never ever drinking,
no smoking, no hanging out, no issues in college, none,

(10:31):
absolutely none. Great individuals turned out to be great people, adults, taxpayers.
When I started to hear irreputable damages because we back
Kenny Payne, guys, that's got a racial tone to me.
I don't like that. I really don't. I just don't

(10:52):
listen to the words coming out of my mouth. And
then I'm gonna move on. But when they say irreputable,
only thing Kenny Payne not do was win. I didn't
say a word about when Tom Drich had to let
him go. I understand the business. I've just done it
my whole life. Unfair, maybe shitty got a third year. Guys,

(11:14):
in our business, the minute you sign your contract below
on the ink, because you're going to be replaced. That's everybody.
I've said that. That's why I've told you all. Why
do they sign these huge contracts to coaches They must
and are going to be fired ninety nine point nine
percent of the time. That's all just fact. It's just
our business. So for the two years he didn't win, Kenny,

(11:38):
you didn't win, no problem. But the reputable damages. Let
me just give you this. The players they called out
other than coach Beard played in a national championship or
won a national championship for the University of Louisville got me.
That's all. I just went to two final fours, that's all.

(12:00):
I know. They're young and don't understand, but just too Secondly,
when we say irreptable as a former player at Louisville,
which I don't go under this, but when they call
me out, I'm gonna do it every time. Karen Cipher
on the table, irreputable. I don't care what you say.
I don't forget the assistant coach who said he was

(12:20):
drunk sleep underneath the table, he didn't see what happened.
Just remember, just fact, not my word. Just google it.
These are facts. Her name is Karen Seipher or Brian
Bowen and his father pay for play before we get
pay for play, not my words, these are facts. Or

(12:43):
January twenty sixth, twenty twenty two, when we have a
coach tape as assistant coach cut the tape given it
to the FBI. I don't hear them call these guys out.
I really don't. People don't call me in they're saying
this or wiki leaks. When our football program is getting
plays from announcers from other schools, that's out of reputable damages.

(13:09):
I guess Lny Galloway, if you all remember, don't forget
baby treat and said he didn't know anything, absolutely anything.
So I guess you know prostitutes and dorms. I guess
those things aren't. Kenny Payne lost, Yes he did. He

(13:31):
lost his job yes he did. The university turning around,
Yes they did. Josh went out and got a great hire,
I mean a super higher and you've got propaganda speaking
about us and what we did other than put Liuv
on the map. Just being honest, not to no more

(13:52):
humble pie, just being actually factual with you. Coach Beard,
what's hunsel? Don't say they didn't win one. There was
a school called UCLA with kream up do Jabbar, and
my eighty team would have won one either, and the
eighty sixteen and won one either. And the twenty thirteen
team wouldn't won one either if they had to play
that team. Don't even catchsel. If they were playing that

(14:15):
level of competition at that time, it doesn't happen. And
the seventy five team, the junior Bridgman team that didn't
win one that went that I thought was one of
the better Coach Crumb teams, wouldn't have won one either.
So the only thing I know is Coach Beer won
a world championship, just like West Hunt Sale and have
done things no one has ever done from this program ever.

(14:39):
And this jersey's not hanging, which we don't go into.
I don't say anything about that I just don't know how.
Just remember Butcher Beard from brecking Ridge County won the
first World championship ever for a Louisville player in the NBA.
So before was Unselle. So anyway, and be a major player,

(14:59):
a starter on the team, not a bench warmer, not
a guy drawing a check, but a true player. So anyway,
I'm gonna move on. I think Louisvill's had larger issues
than what the propaganda said. But I don't get into
the propaganda nor seeing other shows on my show because
they're not paying me. But I just wanted to make
sure that I addressed the one thing with them. Just

(15:21):
make sure that I understand your eyes can't see certain things.
I do understand. Now we're at seven to twenty one, Shannon,
we're gonna get to break when we come back. Of course,
get your scores in first and foremost. Secondly, boy, we've
got a lot to talk about with what's going on
now with the University of Louisville place Friday. Can't wait,

(15:42):
gonna be there, can't wait, Josh Hurt, athletic director, my
man coach Kelsey Fireplug have put together a fantastic roster.
Can't wait to watch this year Eastwarts Radio. We'll be
back in a minute. Welcome back to Eve Sports Radio. Guys.

(16:02):
It's seven five. It's cold outside. That's all I'm gonna say.
You're gonna have to put your sweatsuit on. I put
up most of my shirt sleeve shirts yesterday, brought up
my long sleeves. I'm like, gosh, I hate this. I
love wearing short pants and shirt sleeve shirts. It's just
the best time. But those days are over for probably

(16:23):
four or five months now. So get ready Friday night.
I mean, what a huge night in the state of Kentucky, Louisville, Kansas, Kentucky, Perdue,
I mean, Goley, Come on, guys. As for basketball fans,
we've gotta love this. We must and we have to
love this. So I just want to do a quick

(16:43):
tidbit on University louis which I'm going to that game.
Just give you all new people a rundown. But Kel
Brown Junior, the young Man has come in with much
fanfare as much fanfarees Daryl Griffith and guys. Daryl Griffith
special ten eleven year pro second player drafted, won a

(17:05):
national championship as a senior. I want to be fair again, guys.
Daryl won it as a senior, came back his junior
season and said I wanted to win one and did,
but he was a senior. So I don't want you
all to put as much pressure. I'm mister Brown as
people are going to because he's still only a freshman,

(17:27):
but very good, excellent with the basketball, great size. I
have not seen him play, so Friday night, I'll be
there early, like always to beat the traffic. I want
to watch him warm up and I want to watch
him play. I'm looking forward to watching him play. I
want to see how he carries himself, how he handles

(17:48):
the pressure of a game. There's gonna be pressure. Kansas
is going to get after him. Kansas has got a
very good freshman guard also, so it's going to be
a nice little matchup to watch. There will be a
lot of people no matter what. Probably and says, the
Young Center is going to be packed. I mean, I
don't get it, guys, I just don't get it. Trust me.
There'll be people at the Young Center. People are excited

(18:08):
about this Louisville team, and I'm one of them. You
got Ryan Conwell from Xavier sixteen and a half points
a game from Xavier. Xavier is a nice team. Xavier's
always been a good team. They've got a lot of
good players. They've put a lot of players in the
professional ranks. He is a very good score. Louisville's got

(18:30):
a strong, strong guard corps. So now I'm gonna have
to watch and see Rin Smith. Last year, guys, I
know it's only Rin Smith six feet little kid lefty.
These guys are big and I'm gonna get to a
few of the other shooters. Guys. Ren Smith had every
big shot that he could take last year. I think
there was only one or two games that it seemed

(18:52):
like he didn't make every three. So I just want
you to understand they still have a lot to replace
because Rin Smith didn't miss last year. Coach Kelsey himself said,
I'm not worried about it. When I draw up a play,
Rin's gonna hit every big shot. We're gonna have to
wait and see if Ryan can come through. Ryan is nifty,
pretty good off the dribble, so it's gonna be interesting

(19:12):
to watch him tomorrow night. We've got McNeely Isaak McNeely
from Virginia that is supposed to be the Wren Smith
replacement fourteen point four. I watched him last year, big body. Yes,
he can shoot over some people that Wren could not,
But I think Rin Smith had better range. I do

(19:36):
so I'm gonna have to wait and see how they
work him in the thing With coach Kelsey. That is
a lot like Coach Crumb. He runs plays out of timeouts.
He gets shots for the players where he wants them
to get it, and then he gets the shot for
the picker off of that player. He knows how to
get option one, two, three, and four off plays. I

(19:57):
love that, but Coach Kelsey, I do. I like running plays.
I don't like pick and roll basketball. Everyone knows Coach
cal was my guy, but it was too much pick
and roll freelance create. I like plays to be run.
I like players to get shots where they practice them
and if they take away that shot, I like the
second and third option to be open. I do so

(20:18):
it's going to be interesting to watch that piece. Ali Khalifa, Guys,
I don't know what to tell you about Ali other
than three point four assists per game three years ago.
Two years ago, when he played for coach polk at
BYU five point seven points not what he really does.

(20:39):
He's supposed to be in great shape. He was able
to earn another year's eligibility. It's going to be important
that he's able to play well this year. So that's
something I'm looking forward to watching. I just want to
see how he plays. I have never myself watched him.
I did not watch him at BYU, so this will
be my first time. Even though he's a veteran player,

(21:01):
it's my first time watching case and Prior. Everyone knows.
I've known Casey prior since he was a little kid.
His dad coached Anthony, my son that's in Saint Matthew's
fire department. I've known him quite a long time. How
he'll come back off his injury is going to be
pivotal for the University of Louisville. Brings a lot of

(21:21):
energy to the program. But we still have to wait
and see set out eighty percent I want to say
eighty five percent of the season last year he set out.
I don't know when he'll be ready to play. I
don't think he'll be ready my opinion, until mid December,
early January. I don't I just don't see him being
one hundred percent back and I'm sure coach Kelsey is

(21:43):
going to take his time bringing him back. So guys,
already seven thirty one, Shannon, take me to my next break.
Is he sports Radio. We'll talk to you in a second.
In thirty four, guys, it's seven thirty four. If you've
got to be there at eight o'clock, you're close, but
you need to be slow, be safe. People's loved ones
are out there. All I'm gonna tell you is this.

(22:04):
You will before we get to Lease Sterling. His name
is Victor Wimbinyama, and if you did not watch him
last night, you better. Everyone knows Michael Jordan played in
my era, and we all understand six or six in
the finals. We understand what Michael Jordan was able to accomplish.

(22:28):
I am telling you as an NBA player, as an
NBA coach, is an NBA out have done them all.
Victor Wimbinyama is a freak of nature and he is
going to fill every arena in this country every game.
It was crazy what he did last night. If you
did not watch him, please turn on ESPN on and

(22:51):
make sure that you watch just the highlights. They're crazy.
It looks like a video game. Guys, he is absolutely
seven foot five. And the things that he's doing skill wise,
I mean skill wise, guys, it's just crazy all there
is to it. Always old guys are saying the new
guys can't and they're not well guys. I mean Dirk

(23:14):
Nowinsky and Kevin Garnett, Lebron James. There's some guys that
are who freak of nature's. I mean, we did have
Bob mcadoo's and we had Danis. We had big shooters. Now,
I don't think we didn't have guys that were six ten,
six eleven. They could shoot the ball. We did in
my era, Yes we did, but Victor is a whole

(23:36):
nother level. Forty points, guys, fifteen rebounds, three blocks, completely
destroyed the Mavericks. And when I say destroyed the Mavericks,
I told Joe yesterday that any David is one of
my favorite players, great defender. Guys doesn't have to shoot
the ball to be a good player. Derek Lively, the
seven footer from Duke Athletic as can be for Dallas,

(24:00):
made them look like kids. I mean, guys, it was embarrassing. Honestly,
there was absolutely nothing last night that they could do
with the kid. Nothing so wait till he matures into
that body. Oh my goodness, it's frightening. So make sure
that you take some time and watch Victor play. That's
all I can say. Take some time now, seven thirty seven.

(24:21):
I'm get ready to get to break. I want to
clarify something because I want people to understand why I
said propaganda when they call out our names is racial. Guys.
Let me just give you names that supported Kenny Payne's
higher that you'll never hear them say. When you want
to listen to me closely, you'll hear Marv Selvey, Jerry King,
Mike Grosso, Roger Berkman, Denny Crumb, Bill Osen. But you

(24:45):
never hear their names called. Ever. You'll never hear propaganda
say their names. They were all in support of hiring
Kenny Payne. Did Kenny win, No, that's the only thing
he didn't do. He didn't win, no problem. But you
don't ever hear their names called. You only hear a
few people's names called the African Americans' names called that

(25:07):
honestly built and made the program no more humble pie.
Just facts, just facts, period, point blank. Just facts. So
that's why I said what I said I would like
for them from here on out to add all the
other names of teammates that aren't that way. Our teammates
were pulling for Kenny Payne, the black teammates, the white teammates.

(25:29):
We were all on the same page, no one. We
were all pulling and rooting for Kinney Paine. But that's
not what you hear. You're propaganda and all you hear
is they come to the black guy's names and irreputable damages.
It's the Esports Radio at seven thirty eight. I just
wanted you ally to understand everyone. Our teammates aren't that way,
but we have some people in the media, We have

(25:51):
some people in Louisville that are that way and want
to listen to that junk EVE Sports Radio. I'll talk
to you after the break. Welcome back to eves Sports
Radil you know, seven forty one. We've got the one
and only. Please, Darling, how are you.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Hanging in there? As I told you through a text
last week, would love to have met you. Unfortunately, my
mother was diagnosed with cancer, so have been with her
in the hospital a lot, yeah, the last ten days,
and thank god we took her home yesterday and yeah,
just hopefully she's eighty seven, has dealt with a lot
of medical issues at Parkinson's, especially for thirty one years,

(26:30):
and hopefully she can just have whatever she has left
is peaceful and she's happy.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
It's tough, and you told me I yesterday. I just
it's so tough. I've got my mother right upstairs living
with me. I understand. It's tough time, you know, but
it just make sure you know God's with her in
his hands in his time.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
That's right. Not a probles it.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
I had a great time in Miami steel. I had
a great time and went to the games, played a
lot of golf with my friends Mike vine Away.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
The weather was perfect, right, Oh gosh, we perfectly.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
We walked on Sunday we walked.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
Okay, we walked.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
It was perfect. We walked it one in the afternoon.
It was perfect. So now everything well, had a great time.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
So now I'm glad you did.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
I mean, that's it. We can't be we can't be
that nice to you again. Next year. We got to
return the favor.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
You have to come down exactly. And I mean my
Carson back, come on.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Man, terrible, I'm just terrible. I just you know what,
it is. He's talented. There's some games where he is
on and if you're gonna you want to be a
first second round pick, you got to be able to
overcome things. As soon as he threw the first pick,
I looked at my wife and like, he's just he
just doesn't look like he's into it. Sometimes, you know,
just you can tell right away he's not there. But

(27:53):
give Louisville credit. Great game plan prom I mean he
had twenty twenty five plays mimy had never seen. They
didn't expect them to run stuff like the yep and
the wildcat. Now the key is, you know, can they
can they can they not fall flat on their face
after such a big win.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
They've done it before. They did it last year after
the Clinton game. Louisville did so we're hoping. But Boston
College couldn't beat you and I my wife, come on,
they can be.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
College.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
That's act. I want to play. Suit me up, coach,
suit me up. You know there's the deal though. In
the press room, they were so upset with Carson before
we get into the games. They were just yelling and
I mean, you're not as you well know. I don't
have to tell you people in the press room. You're
not supposed to be loud, you're not supposed to play,

(28:42):
you're not supposed to be on your phone. All those things.
They're truly talking check off, check down, check Carson.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
I looked at the film afterwards, and it was it
was much worse than the game. That's what's crazy.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Yes, all the pressroom, they were all they were furious
with him, poor young man. I would hate to be here.
And on the sideline, I'm standing right next to Michael
IRV and you know that ray lewis audio raped, right,
they're talking about how bad they're gonna beat Louisville. I mean,
I'm ten feet away from I know, mich wherroom from Dallas. Yeah,
I'm two feet away from him, just of course shaking

(29:19):
my head. And then all of a sudden they eat
their words too, right, it goes on top, right, So
let's get let's get with it. That was a crazy game.
Your games, though, we've got some very good game. I
have the same one and it's my money game. Your
very first game is my money game. Texas A and
m LSU.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
So last year this game LSU was looking pretty good
and then all of a sudden, Texas. A and M
put in Marcel Reid at halftime and it was just
coming out party. Scored three touchdowns. They outscored LSU thirty
one six in the second half. On way did that
forty eight twenty three win. LSU's defense couldn't get off

(30:03):
the field last week against Vanderbilt. So if you watch
that game, you're saying, after another week, I know they're
playing at home, How all of a sudden are they
gonna get off the field against a better quarterback, someone
Marcel Reid, who is bigger, stronger, faster, has a better
arm and has better weapons here. So A and M

(30:24):
is going to use a similar game plan. The heat
is on LSU right now, Brian Kelly. The reality is
LSU just isn't that good. A and M's gonna lose,
but not this week. A and M finally wins in
Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge with thirty one.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
You're gonna lose, just not this week.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
I like that they're good. They're good. They might be
outside of Ohio State, the most complete team, not saying
the most talented, but the most complete team. They really
don't have any real perceived weakness.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Okay, but Kelly has to have this game. It's played
at Death Valley at night. Kelly has to have it.
Isn't l as you do an upset? Aren't they doing?
Isn't this a game?

Speaker 3 (31:07):
Maybe? Maybe? But I'm telling you this this watch watch
A and M. They just do everything well. And do
you do everything well? Uh, You're gonna be every in
every game and probably unless unless A M turns the
ball over three more times AND's winning this game.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Okay, got you? Now there's another game. Last week I
said all week last week I told people there's an
upset game Kentucky and Texas. Everybody no one knowing in
my contest Jarius around is, I said, guys, you all
gonna see Kentucky. I mean, if they can just score,
if they could kick a field, go kick a field,
go coach to what do you think happened with this

(31:45):
Tennessee at Kentucky? Good old rocky.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Top yep and Tennessee is coming off a real big
game here, So the question is can they get back up?
And I don't know about this? Do you want? I
like the better defense as a home underdog here. So

(32:08):
I think that if you watch this, this Kentucky quarterback
this kid is getting better, and I think it's not
gonna be the high scoring. I think it's a twenty
I think it's a twenty six to twenty one game.
Tennessee wins, but Kentucky gets the cover.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Got you, No, I would if Kentucky kids score twenty
three points, got Lee. I mean they just can't. They cannot.
I won't, can't tell you fans they cannot know they offensively,
it's atrocious.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
But only how about this. He's thrown eighty passes the
last thrown eighty passes the last two weeks, completed seventy
percent of them. So he is improving.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yes, he's improving. No, they just don't put points on
the board. But Kentucky's defense we hitching them mouth they will,
so I'm looking forward to that. Let's go Pittsburgh, NC State.
That ACC. I just don't they are one big league.
They're only gonna get one team in if Miami this
is another game. They'll get the champion in. And that's it.

(33:03):
I'm saying it now. One team will get in from the ACC.
If Miami is not in, they'll get a second team
if Miami's in. But if Miami's not in, they'll.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Get one team that's not a good look. Pittsburgh is
the team that can do it. You know, everyone's talking
about Georgia Tech. Pittsburgh made the quarterback change, went with
the freshman quarterback. Now, n C States has looked good
in this the last three games in the series, but
they've won and covered the last three, but the last

(33:33):
game was twenty twenty, so pretty inconsequential. Nancy State is
off of a bye and should be fresh. They can't score,
but they can't stop anyone. They Their defense is awful.
I mean, you talk about they just don't have players.
They can make plays here enough and they ranked defensively

(33:53):
one hundred and twenty first against the pass at one
hundred and thirty six teams. You're not going to beat
elite teams like that, and Pittsburgh gives you a lead
against the run here. I think the wolf Pack is
just two one dimensional and that's going to be their problem.
Pit here at home thirty four to twenty four.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
So you like pitt and the first free quarterback is
really giving them a dynamic they did not have in
the Louisville game. I'm looking for. I haven't watched them play,
but I'm going to hopefully this Saturda. I'm going to
Louisville Boston College, but if I can find Pittsburgh, I'm
gonna try to tape it. I want to watch the kid,
because you've got good numbers now, Louisville twenty five point

(34:32):
favorites over BC. I can't even believe they gave it
a line. I mean, as I said, what can we
get a team out and play them? Can we get
a Louisvill of playoffs? They all right a players.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Yeah, the Eagles have allowed at least twenty eight points
to every Division One opponent. Louisville is good, but not
quite as good on a consistent basis as they showed
against Miami. They schemed up they I won't play like
an underdog here. Chris Bell was incredible. He's a monster here.

(35:06):
But you're going to see a quarter he's a pro.
He's a pro right now already. BC is gonna looks
like make a change of quarterback because injuries Grace and James.
He's actually an FIU a couple of years ago. So
I've seen the kid here. I think Louisville wins this
game here thirty five seventeen. I just don't think their

(35:28):
quarterback is good enough on a consistent basis against Division
one opponents. In the circumstances Louisville coming off one of
their biggest wins all time, and BC has nothing to
lose here. So this quarterback can run, you know, get
some first downs and they run the ball. Teams that
are heavy, that run the ball over fifty five percent

(35:49):
of the time, they're short in the game. So Miller
Moss is fine, he's fine, but you're not going to
just continue to blow out teams coming off. I think
a big win like that, I haven't win in thirty
five to seventeen. I have PC actually getting the cover,
but should be should be pretty pretty easy, though pretty easy.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Let's see, here's the key with Miller Moss. He didn't
have to pass it fifty times. If he passes it
fifty times, there's an issue. Miami game. I think he
was what twenty three for thirty seven, which was perfect.
They were able to stayblished a running game with Brown.
But is it brown? But that's the key. Now here's
my thing. Louisville. I want to ask you their defensive

(36:29):
line did impress me at Miami? They shut Miami's running
game down. Miami at one big play running at one time.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
What I mean, is Miami a good running team or
is Louiville's defense improving?

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Well? I think Miami has talent to be a very
good running team.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
They're stubborn.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
They run the same play up the middle like ninety
percent of the time. And Louisville was smart. They schemed
up day two weeks to prepare and they were good
on the defensive line. They also deflected a lot of passes.
So what they did was they said, Okay, you want
to run off tackle, it's there, but we're not going
to give you right up the middle. And ninety percent
of Miami's running plays are there. Miami should have run

(37:07):
some rpo. They didn't. And you know, sometimes you're you're
hard headed, and you have your list of plays and
you're gonna say, okay, we're gon we're gonna run these plays.
You got to prepare differently. I remember, like, for instance,
my senior year in high school, we had lost We
graduated eighteen out of twenty two starters from the year
board before. I had an offensive line all tenth graders.

(37:29):
I had a bunch of receivers. Literally, they're all ran
like four nine or five flats. They could catch the ball,
they just they weren't beating anyone deep. So what do
we do every week? Every week? You're ready for this,
you won't believe this. So we decided every single week,
our coach said, we're going to run a completely different offense.
We're going to put in sixteen new plays. So one

(37:51):
week we would run the veer. The next week we
were running the spread with four and five wide receivers.
So teams would come in they had no idea how
to prepare for it. And one week I ran I
was a returning starter on offense. That's it. Me and
me and me and and one receiver. That's it. And
so we decided, you know, put me in the shotgun.

(38:12):
I'd run the wishbone one week. Something different every single week.
So it worked. It didn't work when we got to
the state playoffs in the semifinals because playing the team
is just so much better than us, but they got
us there. So that's what you have to do. You know,
if if you want to be good, you can't live
on your laurels. And that's what that's what Miami did that's.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Why we got least ee on Ravens Bears. My man
Lamar's back, yep. One in five. Can they beat the playoffs?
Do they beat the Bears?

Speaker 3 (38:43):
I think it's gonna be It's gonna be tough. I
mean Ravens. How about this last three games between these
two teams, all games were decided by field goal. You
got to give this this coaching staff Chicago credit. They've
taught this offensive line how to run block. The honeymoon
is over with this up tempo, explosive play just fling

(39:04):
the ball around and and fail on short yortage yardage offense.
They are minus fifty and scores scoring marchins so far
this year. How about this team's home teams off of
a buy since twenty eleven one hundred and eleven, one
hundred and forty and nine. That's forty four percent. So

(39:25):
not like they had any momentum, but all of a
sudden to kick it back up and playing a team
that's playing well. Now the Bears are four and oh
they won four straight. I'm going to take the points
here until Baltimore shows me something on offense and defense,
which the defenses is bad or worse than the offense.
Chicago upsets Baltimore twenty seven to twenty six.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
I have to agree with you. I hate to agree
with you. Could you I'm a lamar man, but I
do have to agree with you to get a game
last one. This is perfect title. Everyone knows Paramount Sports.
They tell them where to find you. But Coats Titans?
Are the Coats good? Are they?

Speaker 3 (40:04):
Eh? Yeah? They're getting in the playoffs and justin I
think they're gonna make trade on defense. So how about this?
Anyone wants the Colts and the Titans be one of
the first advocate one of the first five callers eight
hundred four hundred nine seven four one first five callers
gets the Colts and the Titans on me line is

(40:25):
fourteen can the Colts bowl them out?

Speaker 1 (40:27):
And how about this?

Speaker 3 (40:28):
We've now won twenty three out of twenty five games
on Sunday twenty three and two runs. You want to
hop on board? We call it Lee's Leith yep, Let's
