Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to EVE Sports Radio. It is November eighteenth.
We're nine days away from Thanksgiving twenty twenty five, seven
o six. It's raining outside, so leave early. The roads
are slick. I was outside getting the paper and the
roads are slick, so hazardous roads. Make sure you're careful

(00:22):
going in. Leave a little bit early so you don't
have to rush. Welcome back to EVE Sports Radio. This
is phone number five zero two five seventy nine hundred.
That's five zero two, five seven to one seventy nine hundred.
Sports Talk seven ninety KRD. We've got Shannon today behind
the glass. Appreciate Shanning sliding in in the wet conditions.

(00:44):
Like always, We've got the one and only my second
co host. You know, we've got one Monday and Friday.
We know that guy, and you're all are starting to
learn who this Tuesday Wednesday. Gentleman is also named Scott Bolwage. Scott,
welcome to the show. How are you?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I'm doing great, coach, How are you doing? This morning?
And bold and rainy Louisville.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
I don't get to live in Miami. You don't have
to rub it in. I understand. I tolerated. I tolerated
the best that I can. That's all I tolerated. That's all.
I went outside. I got my favor. Oh absolutely. I
swung my golf club in the rain scot about seven
or eight nine times. My neighbor will tell you. He says,
I see you out there in the morning. I do

(01:28):
it every morning. That's all there is to it, Scott,
slide over in the grass, swing my club. So here's
the deal. So we all know, we all need to
be truthful with ourselves. So I was talking to Shannon
before we came on the air and said, yeah, Shannon,
just a little slout. I truly woke up you all
the five four five, but I was a little sluggish.

(01:49):
So I had to get up and do some calistenics.
So I have to get off the phone with you, Scott,
to wake myself up because it was just a little
sluggish this morning. I didn't have to fight with the pillow.
I got up. I just didn't. I wasn't energetic. So
I told Shennon said, I'm struggling a little bit. S
Shennon said, well, you'll get going. I said, Shannon at
sixty six, Well getting going, it's hard to do. I said,
I'm in the fourth quarter. Sannon said, Nah, you might

(02:11):
be in the middle of the end of the third.
I said, Scott, I said, Shennon, the age is seventy
eight for African American males, for black men, seventy seven,
seventy eight. I'm sixty six. Scott, that's for four.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
You're doing a lot better than most.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Exactly, Scott, I walked down O was yesterday. That's why
I was tired. But Scott, I'm trying to get them in.
I understand. I mean, this is more of it, but
it's not. It's just the truth. Paul Silas dies. Everyone knows.
I was Paul's assistant with the Charlotte Hornets, and he
probably died three or four years ago, and John Lucas

(02:50):
and I were speaking about it, and I said, John,
Paul wasn't that old. I think Paul was probably maybe
I'm gonna say eighty two, seventy nine to eighty two,
somewhere in there. I don't remember exactly. John Lucas said
to me on the phone, boy, you better get to live,
and that's oh as hell quid line to you. I said,

(03:13):
you're right, and that's the only thing you all would
have to know John Lucas. Of course you've heard about him.
First player. Take him from Maryland University. Great basketball player,
was banned from the NBA for drug usage. His wife,
Debbie and I went through We didn't go through hill,
but Debbie did. I just kind of helped facilitate getting

(03:33):
him into rehabs all the way through his pro career.
He was truly my mentor from I met him in
the ninth grade when he was playing in a pro
tennis tournament. Scott here in Louisville, and I was a
ninth grader and he was in Maryland. And he came
to Ballard during the tournament to play. Killed everybody at Ballard.
And I was out there with my left hand throwing
up my left hand shot. And he said, you think
you're good? And I said yep. You think you're gonna

(03:56):
be better than me? I said yep. And that's how
it started. I was a ninth grader. Scott, so going
through all that, he gets straight. Only when he wanted
to get straight, no one else get getting straight. He
started to rehab. And I just want everybody to know
he has all your lawyers and doctors and all your
pilots that you go to, and that's who he's rehabit.

(04:16):
I just want you all to know I'm not gonna
say names, not just the athletes, but everyone else. We
only hear about the athletes. He's done super well, Scott.
But the bottom line is he is blunt honest, period
point blank. He is bluntly honest. He is not gonna
cut corners. He dealt with the players, He dealt with
the coaches, not his families. He is once he got straight.

(04:39):
Part of him getting straight in his opinion, he's gonna
tell you, period point blank. So he told me you
better get to living. We're in our fourth quarter. So
that's what I was doing yesterday, Scott. That's why I'm
a little tired, because I walked nine holes. Because there
are a few people here. Mike Brown, Yeah, Mike, you,
a few other you, Scott Frank, A few people I

(05:02):
want to knit, you know, mister Mac. And I've got
mister Mac calling in from State Farm and I'm gonna
knit mister Mac. Also, he's gonna call it in, Shannon
at seven point fifteen, you'll have Stefan Mack calling in
my State Farm agent. He also he's on the list too,
So Scott. We've got a few things. So we're seventy

(05:23):
eleven Scott, and we're gonna do four or five minutes
with mister mac. I think people need to hear it.
He's gonna tell you why your insurance premiums go up
and what you can do to curtail that. I think
it's something people will definitely. We all want to lower
our insurance period point blank. We're all trying to find
ways to save some money. So we'll be doing that

(05:44):
at seven fifteen. So Scotty, here's the deal. His name
is Chase. Your opinion, quickly, what do you think, Jamar Chase,
Cincinnati Bingals.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
You know, I mean we saw the game one with
the Eagles and you saw the ramifications of that, and
you know you have to be able to show some restraints.
I mean, you're one of the You're a marquee player
on that team.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
He's the best wide receiver in the game, scot period.
He is the best nail right now, period, no question,
my opinion, no question.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
To go then to go there? You know, you're you're
in the spotlight every Sunday and doesn't matter what anybody
says to you. You have to be the leader on
that team. You need to be the face of the NFL,
be the face of the wide receivers in the NFL
to where you can't do those things. And then you know,

(06:52):
you text me three games and at some point, at
some point, the NFL needs to to just go really
hard on one person and so let them know we're
not dealing with this because it is a big, big deal.
But you know three would really hit home, right.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
It Scott, They have to get a grip on it.
It's awful. I mean, it's just hideous. It's nasty. Period.
There's all the adjectives that we could say, and it
is uncalled for. Bottom line, it shows no self dispard
It says a lot about you. So I want people
to know, Yes, I played high level Ballot.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Was high level Stay Championship Louisville, was high level Nastal champion,
Utah Jazz, Atlanta Hawk, Sacramento Kings, high level, coached Charlotte
Hornet's new Jersey nets.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
I mean, on and on high level, but you know
that hole in the bucket. You can only hold so
much water. You can have a town, but your discipline
always will show itself. Everybody makes a mistake. I don't
want anybody, and especially our fans. Boy, they love to
jump on the athletes. If we just had a camera
following you around, it would be embarrassing. But we don't

(08:15):
most of the time. But the athletes know during the
game their camera's on. So knowing that, knowing that, yes,
in the fair grounds, Coach Crumb, my coach, my parents,
sitting in the stands, Wes Matthews and I swung at
each other. Sure did I did, scotten? No question? Was
that what Coach Crumb wanted me to do? Absolutely not,

(08:38):
I mean absolutely not. Represent yourself better? Got me? Is
that what my dad wanted me to do? Absolutely not.
The game is bigger than your emotions, is what he
always used to tell period. The game's bigger. We came
to see the game. We didn't come to see your emotions,
that's all. We came to see your talent. Now, after
the game, you want to fight and fight him all
you want, But during the game, you know, my dad said,

(08:59):
that's not the place. I still did it. I made
a mistake. It happens. But never in my wildest dream, Scot,
did I ever think about spitty you got me? Ever,
everything about spitting on a person in my entire life.
I'm just being honest, uh you and I I never

(09:23):
my wildest dream ever thought about is that something?

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Is that something with with the NFL with their helmets,
like that's something that they think they can sneak and
do without anything with with a million that they have on.
Everybody get away with.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
It, right? Not my relative Michael Eaves, a really close
friend University Kentucky, grand hot boy. There to be cameras
so for him in the locker room after the game.
It's gotten to you all the kid And I've said
it's the numerous times people that have listened. It doesn't

(10:03):
make sense Scott to lie, right, But they used to
tell me you're gonna get the same punishment. And no,
I was not standing in a corner, period, trust me,
you all. I wasn't standing in the corner. But I'm
not telling parents how to discipline your kids. That's everybody's job.
But I wasn't standing in a corner for mine, he says.

(10:24):
But just don't lie to me. You're gonna get the
same punishment. If I found out you lied, it's gonna
be worse. Just tell the truth. You made a mistake,
you did it, You were bad. We all are, but
there's no reason to lie that compounds it. That's why
the NFL should have popped him for three games. So
let's go back the first one. Jalen Carter with Philly,

(10:46):
I mean, before the first play, before he ever hit somebody,
he spits at Dak Prescott. So he gets a game.
We turn around, we watched Florida. Brendan Betts does the
same thing. Of course gets ejected, but he does the
same thing. College kid. Now here, we are week eleven
of the NFL. We have the exact same deal, the

(11:10):
exact same deal. So I just don't Scott. If the
NFL doesn't get it, they hit that wallet hard enough, Scott,
they'll get it. One game suspension, I made too much.
I just hate to say that one game. It's a
lot of money for us, and it should be a

(11:30):
lot of money for them. But they wouldn't be spitting
on people, Scott, if they were completely adults. They got
me right, that's all. So one games is not enough
to get their attention. They're gonna have to go to
three games because it's just and to lie about it
after it's worst, Scout. My Dad's yeah, spitting's one thing

(11:51):
lines the other. As you well know, I tell people
at A and t all, my boy, just don't lie to me.
We'll deal with what we have to deal with. Only
thing that puts you off my team instant was hitting
a woman. You know that was wrong. I dealt with
everything else. I want people to know, drugs and fighting
and drinking, and I deal with that as young kids
deal with that, no problem. But Scot Spedding would have

(12:15):
been one of those that I'd have had a very
very hard time, a very hard time with. So I mean, golly,
I mean spading honestly is like the young man that
checked in the game at North Carolina Central when we
were there and grabbed his private parts and I got

(12:35):
rid of him. I pushed the eject button. That was
like hitting a woman. I couldn't. That just took me
over the top. Two. There's certain things got that take
me over the top. Spending is in the same category. Now,
you can't cut Jamar Chase. I understand that, but day
at the league needs to pop them for three games.
It's a reflection of Jamar Chase, period, point blank. He's
the best wide receiver in the game. Got me, no

(12:58):
question about it. In my opinion, but he's not saying
much about himself. Period, back to back mistakes, and to
be a liar on top of it is worse. The
mistakes not the issue, Scott, we all make them, but
to compound it, to sit up with the media looking
right at you. Nope, I don't know what you all
talking about. Get out, get away from it. Yeah, So Scotty,

(13:18):
we're already in seven nineteen. We're gonna go to break. Yes,
we're gonna get Stephan mac call in. I know my
step my state farm agent Shannon steph will be trying
to call in. Make sure we grab that. The phone
number is five zero two, five nine hundred and we'll
talk to you all after the break. Welcome back to
the Sports Radio seven three. I got Scott Bowwage on

(13:42):
another line, victim number one on the hit list. Let
me go before I bring on my one and only
insurance agent, Scott. The games are Louisville at SMU, Kentucky
Vanderbilt is the money game. I need your points, Missouri
and Oklahoma, you USC at Oregon, and my first caller

(14:03):
gets to choose. This week's games were eh, They're really hard.
There is no really quality games it's either Pittsburgh at
Georgia Tech, which I don't even like at all, or
the Coats at the Chiefs. First caller gets to choose
the Coats at the Chiefs are Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech

(14:26):
is a choice. The other games are set. It is
a one hundred dollars week because I paid No One
yes ac one, and got in the bar's patch and
got beat so I don't have to pay out this week.
That's why it doubles one hundred dollars to the winner
two hundred dollars if someone gets in the Briar's patch
with me and beat me for this week's contest. But

(14:49):
those are the six games. We're only going to use five.
First caller gets to dictate. Pittsburgh Georgia Tech are the
Coats and the Chiefs now Scott, this gentleman right here.
I don't know what to say about him other than
he's a Lexington boy. Got me and anybody from Lexington

(15:10):
he's not givings or honestly or are honestly or Vince Taylor.
Those are my three guys. I'm scared of. James Lee.
James Lee is one of my guys, but I'm scared
James Lee. How about my insurance agent? Guys, of course
he's got house, car everything. Get ready to sell me
some insurance. Welcome back to the show. I don't know

(15:33):
if I really like you, Stefan, but you know we
deal with each other. We deal with each other. What's wrong, Jerry?

Speaker 4 (15:40):
I'm surprised.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I mean, you hadn't even brought up.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
You didn't even say anything about the Cowboys last night.
We have something in common.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
I don't like the Cowboys anymore playing them.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Oh wow, you're gonna do that? You you you're jumping.
You're jumping off the ship.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Walking off now for years, two years, I used to be.
I jumped off last year.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
Hey, we have to take those wins when we can
get them. Man, they ain't no telling them what's going
to happen the rest of the year.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Brouh. Just remember you were playing the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
That's all I say to you.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Yeah, I just want to make sure, well, yeah, there
you go, there you go. There is an issue you are.
You have come to me. You've saved me quite a
bit of money. I want people to know that with
thank you. I want people to know that. So I've
had you on and I think it's a good topic
where we get four or five minutes where you inform

(16:38):
people about things that they truly want to know about.
And one thing is everyone's rates are going up and
the reason why their rates are going up. And you know,
there's different things inflation, raising car repair costs, electric cars,
accidents due to distractions, weather, catastrophes. I want you to

(16:59):
tell people what they didn't do to lower their insurance
rates and stay if possible, with their home insurance and
their car insurance.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Go ahead, well, thank you, thank you, Jerry. I appreciate it,
and I love coming on and educating customers. You know,
I meet with customers pretty almost every day, and these
are some of the things that that I'm you know,
talking to them and discussing with them about. And you know,
obviously is you know some of them, it's common sense,

(17:33):
you know, maintain a you know, good driving record and
practice safe driving habits. The biggest thing, one of those
big things is distracted driving. You know, if we can
give folks to stay off stay off their phones while
they're driving, you know, because what that's what's doing, what
that's doing is that's driving as striving premium for everybody

(17:54):
those types of accidents.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Wow, why is it? Why isn't it just driving up
the person that has the accurate Why is it driving
up everybody?

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Well, the carriers, you know, everybody's in a pool, so
the carriers, for instance, last year, you know, the carriers
have to have enough in reserves to pay for all accidents.
So so that's one distracted driver in the pool, so

(18:25):
to speak, can impact all the other drivers in the
pool of policyholders. So you know when when when that happens,
you know, you to start talking about increase medical medical costs.
You know, medical costs went up thirty five percent from
twenty twenty three to twenty twenty five. You know, So

(18:49):
that's why you know, you have to practice these these
good skills, good driving skills, and stay off the phone.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Okay, there's another thing that was surprised me yesterday. Sure. Important.
It's the credit There's a credit score you have and
when you let your policy lapse. For young kids, it
hurts your credit. Tell them about that.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Yeah, every carrier has what's called a consumer rating index,
and a part of that rating index is included is
you know, your credit score, and so what happens is,
you know, if you get into a situation where you
let your policy lapse or you drive without insurance for

(19:34):
a period of time. The carriers are going to get
that information and that's going to raise your rate. So
whatever you can do to you know, whether you get
liability only get a small policy on a car, do
not let your policies lapse in terms of car.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Insurance, do not do it.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
You will you will end up paying more.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
And that's called credit characteristics. And that's some credit character
If you let your policy drop, when insurance companies reinsure you,
they're going to see that and they're going to raise
your rates because of that.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Correct, correct, Well, you're going to get a higher premium. Yeah,
so you know you're going to get you know, I
you know you're going to get rated a little bit
risk here because you actually took the you actually drove
without insurance and so you know, uh, there there are
a lot of drivers out there that are driving uninsured

(20:31):
and uh underinsured, and we pay for that as well.
So everybody pays for that.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yeah, last question, a fact, the age factor, the youth
and the old tell me about that. So with your well,
look the amount that you pay insurance wise.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Yeah, well, as anybody can tell you that has like myself,
that has a kid that is twenty five and under,
we need to do everything we can to lower the rates,
whether it's a good student discount. You know, there are
driving classes out there if you take those, there are

(21:14):
you know, like I said, driving classes out there. So
anything you can do to reduce that rate on the
younger kids because you know, obviously those folks that are
you know, eighteen to twenty five or it's a little
bit higher risk in terms of the number of accidents

(21:35):
in that age group.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Thanks. Yeah, explain one thing the last question. After you
explain to people, stay of Kentucky no fault insurance will
let you go.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
So Kentucky is a no false state. And what that
means is basically, the carriers will pay their policy holder
regardless of who's at fault. They will uh, they will
repair that vehicle regardless of who's at fault. It doesn't
matter who's at fault. The state of Kentucky saying, hey,

(22:09):
you know if if if this is your policy holder,
you need to take care of them. Now, what happens
with that is that kind of raises the rate for
the state of Kentucky for the Commonwealth. But so that's
what that is.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Now.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Typically, if there's an accident, you'll you'll get a police report,
and polish report will outline, you know, what exactly happened
and if uh the other uh, the other vehicle was
at fault, then the carriers settled behind the scenes. But
on the front end, we have to pay for your
car to get fixed.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Okay, gotcha, step I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
Well, yes, yes, uh uh uh. What's what's high school football?
You know you don't want to talk about that. We're
not talking about that, or or we won't talk about
your cardinals beating up on my Wildcats.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Well we already know that that I'm going to sweep.
But other than that, O, my bruins are out of it.
Everybody I know Ryn's brought it up. Oh god, yes,
I collected their gear. Yes, brother, Okay, we will bounce back.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Wow. Absolutely, we got to support those kids. Man. So
but Jerry, thank you so much for thank you. Tell
them where the Okay, my phone number is area code
five O two two one three eight zero zero two.
I'm located at the corner of Gene Snyder and Old
Henry and our email addresses www dot mac m A

(23:49):
c K s F as in state farm uh so
mac s F Insurance dot com. So there you go,
and if anybody's got any questions, just let me know.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Absolutely, Step, I appreciate you, brother.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Thanks ye, I appreciate you, man.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Okay, thank you. Seven thirty three. We're gonna get the break, Scott.
When we come back. Kentucky's got a big game tonight,
Michigan State, New York City. I have to discuss that.
And we've always said you must play through the injuries,
but they're mounting up again for the Wildcats. Eastworts Radio.
We'll talk to you all after the break. Welcome back
to EAT Sports Radio. Scott learned a little bit about insurance.

(24:32):
You know you're uninsurable, Scott. I rode with you. God,
I closed my eyes and break. I don't know why
I don't have it, Scott. I'm frightening every time I
get in the car with you.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
That's all.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
There's too, especially in Miami. It's rough down here.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
In Miami, Scott, I have to tell you and my wife.
I was hoping that mister Mac would tell people if
you can read the license plate and you're over twenty
five years old, which means you're eyes are already going bad.
You're too close. That's all there is to It's got lee.
If you can't see the numbers with the car in

(25:09):
front of you, you're too close, period, point blank. That
was the best lesson driver's head. Yes, we had drivers
driver's head class. I'll never forget, mister lewis my driver's
head teacher. The first thing you said, if you can
see the numbers in the car in front of you,
too close, that's others do it. You don't have time
to stop, so you either want to tear your car

(25:29):
up or you want to raise your insurance. I'll never
forget that. So here's it is, Scott. We got Mike
on the line. Let's get Mike home. Mike, Welcome to
the show. How are you?

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Good morning, Jerry, how are you?

Speaker 1 (25:42):
I'm good. As soon as I.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Get in the car and turn the radio on, I
hear I'm on some kind of.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Hit list, and then I'm told I'm.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Not supposed to be driving and talking to you at
the same time.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Exactly exactly, but you are on the hit list. Just
so you'll know it. I am improving. Oh oh, yes, Mike,
I'm improving on that list. I walked down O yesterday.
I'm not gonna stop playing. I'm gonna play. If it's
about forty, I'm playing and I'm walking. I'm a diehard.

(26:16):
Now I'm a diehard. Oh what I got?

Speaker 2 (26:21):
What happened at one point? What he I wanted to
always said? He always said, I don't play golf for
the exercise. You'll never.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
You'll never believe.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
I believe those were the same word he told me
this summer at the goga club.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
I did. But my son's got me walking, and guys,
is the best thing ever happened to me. But that
is the true statements. God is not and Mike's telling
the truth. I didn't play golf for inserancise. I got
in the cart, drove to my ball, hit and got
back in the cart. Not anymore, Not anymore. I think
I've only been in the car probably three times this
entire year, maybe four really, And I mean.

Speaker 5 (27:05):
Well, you know what they say, golf.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Golf is a good walk sport.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
It is a great walk sport. So, Mike, even even
you did not call me after I took care of
your basketball team, I'm gonna take care of your football
team after Thanksgiving.

Speaker 5 (27:18):
Just that ain't happening. That's not happening watching it, after
watching that Pop Warner team Friday night, that's not happening.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Leave my team alone. That just one two bad outings back.
We're gonna bounce back on you. Next home win is
Wildcats stew that's all you're improving though, and I'm giving
culter bowlie cuter Bowley has played much better, Thank you, Shenny.
We got grave waiting color. It's played better. But we're
gonna get that win. I'm gonna get this pie. You'll

(27:47):
have no idea how bad I want this pie. You'll
have no idea. So let's get with it. Mike, you're
first calling. We know Kentucky is the game. I'm taking
your scores first calling. So that's the game. You give
me the score, but I'm gonna let you at the
end tell me which game you want. So let's start first,
Kentucky at Bandy. Scott, what is the spread on that game?

(28:08):
I want people to know. Scott's here. What's the spread
on the Kentucky Bandy game at Vandy?

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Vanderbilt favored by nine and a half points.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Okay, gotcha? Do you know the over under? Scott?

Speaker 2 (28:22):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Okay, No, that's okay. Yeah, you'll get it up. But
go ahead, So let's start with it. Give me a
score of Mike.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Okay, we'll go.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
We'll go.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Twenty one seventeen Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Okay. See, this was why I chose this game. I
truly think it's gonna be half in half. I haven't
decided yet. I'm leaning toward Bandy, but I haven't decided yet.
Last week, I mean, I just trying to pick the games.
People get mad at me. I told you I went,
I said, put him said all the way I did.
So this week I haven't decided just yet. I will tomorrow.

(28:58):
Louisville at SMU No School. Just who wins?

Speaker 5 (29:04):
I'm gonna take you as MU.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
Don'kay? I mean that's probably the betting favorites. I think
they're favored Missouri at three and a half. So SMUs
three and a half point favorites over Louisville. Yeah, Missouri
at Oklahoma. Oklahoma big win last week, USC ranked. I

(29:30):
think there's seventeen seventeen eighteen somewhere in there against Oregon.
Oregon does not have a ranked win at Oregon. Who
you going with.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
Oregon? They're planing at Oregon.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Yause they're planning at Oregon. I would agree with that.
Now here's the decision. It's either Pittsburgh or Georgia Tech,
which uh or the Colts at the Chiefs. You choose,
you don't have to give you the winner. You don't
worry about the spread, just the winner. Which game you choose,
Let's go, Let's go Pittsburgh, Jordan Tag, Okay, because I
don't like you one of those NFL teams. Okay, gotcha.

(30:05):
It doesn't make any difference. You chose it. I don't
like either one of them, but it's okay. Let's go
with who do you have? Pittsburgh or Georgia Tech.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Do you like Georgia Tech?

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Okay, that's an easy one. See, that's why you chose it.
So you should have taken the coach and the Chiefs
because that's the Chiefs have to have it, and the
coach are pretty good. You want to think about it.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
Again, I'm a I'm a fan.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
No, I don't want to think about it.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Yeah, but here's the deal. You're trying to win the contest.
So it's not if you like him or not, it's
who you think is the hardest game to select. I
think most people don't take Georgia Tech. I don't think
you chosen. I don't think I think you made it
easy for people.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
I just care. I just cast your check last week.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Trust me.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Okay, you did that. All right, We've got it, Mike,
appreciate you. If you're still on the hit list, I'm
coming get rid of that Kentucky bag man. You're rid
of that bag next time. Give it.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
Since they released the kickoff time, I'll get with you
sometime this week about meeting up.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Okay, the tailgate, that's a bit. That's great. Okay, take care,
Mike c Bye, seven forty three. Let's get Greg in. Greg,
welcome to the sports radio. How are you?

Speaker 2 (31:19):
I'm that good?

Speaker 4 (31:20):
How are you?

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Man? We're Greg. We're just bringing in here. It's one
hundred dollars a week, Greg, it's gonna be a big week.
It's one hundred dollars not in the Briar's patch. Two
hundred dollars Friar's patch. And I forgot to ask Mike,
but Mike knows where to send me. Mike, if you
want to get in, just let me know and I'll
give you my score. Greg the score that matters is
Kentucky Advandy. I've already had one Kentucky winner. Which way you're.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
Going Vanderbilt's offenses to you? For Kentucky, I've about thirty
one twenty three.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Okay, bandy, bandy, Louisville at.

Speaker 5 (31:55):
Let's sendme.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Go Missouri at.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
Oklahoma Oklahoma Oklahoma Rowland.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Now they played well. They played well, but again, guys,
Alabama was due. If you look at the most wins
of ranked opponents, Alabama has the most wins. Ohio State
has one win over ranked opponent. Indiana has one win
of a ranked opponent. Alabama was just a low fatigue
as they played everybody. People don't want to give Alabama

(32:26):
that deem this time. I'm not going to kill the
boy they played.

Speaker 5 (32:30):
Every I was at the and I was at the
Oklahoma Tennessee game. I watched the Oklahoma's defense in person.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
They're legiti, They're legit. No, Vannerbilt Venerable has changed that completely.
USC at Oregon, Oregon and Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech. Okay,

(32:58):
I got you very great, shiate your man got you
in fire good, get in I'm in tell you, oh
say you want to go against me. Are you in
the Briar's patch for two hundred?

Speaker 5 (33:08):
Yeah and always Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
I'm going. I'm going to under I think Kentucky's defense
is good, so I'm taking thirty thirty twenty three Vandy.
Got you, appreciate you, man, got youa take care. Let's
get we gotta get the break. It's already seven forty five,
is it the sports radio? The phone numbers five zero
two five seven seventy nine hundred. It's one hundred dollars

(33:31):
a week. Not in the Briar's patch. We'll talk to
you after the break. Welcome back to the sports radio.
Got it's seven forty nine. I mean, guys, we're still
in money. It's unbelievable how quickly it goes. So we've
got to get in another caller, and let me tell
you something with Mike. See, I don't think Mike understands
the purpose of this, and I have to go against

(33:53):
my man, Mike. Mike one. He's got my fifty dollars
in cash. But guys, I'm trying to see what we
know and from here on out, I'm gonna pick the
hardest games because that's what everyone should want. Anyway, Scott.
And this is why I want everybody to understand, because
I got another caller coming up, Steve, I'm coming to you.
When he selected Pittsburgh Georgia Tech, I've already got to

(34:16):
Georgia techs. I guarantee you, Scott, I'll have ninety percent
Georgia Tech Mike. So when Mike you made that choice,
you didn't make it hard for people, the Coats and
the Chiefs. That would be fifty to fifty. That gives
him a better chance of winning because people have to
make a decision. I guarantee you of my picks. If

(34:36):
I had to pick the game, that's why I didn't
want to pick it. I'd say Georgia got.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Me after last week what Notre Dame did to them?

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yes, yes, I mean so, yes, I guarantee you. So
that's a game to where almost everyone's gonna win. So
from here on out, that's a game this week, Scott,
I'm picking the hardest games. So let's go to my man, Steve.
Welcome through the show.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
How are you, hey, Gary, Scott? What's going on morning?

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Let's see you always have to hit you with our cardinals?
What what transpired Friday night? Man? You watch it. You
really watch it transport, I was there.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
I was there Gary.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Oh you were at Okay, I did not go. I
had first passes, but I had to get ready for
my homecoming. I did not go. What happened, well, he
had Keen Counties.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Also, I didn't like a couple of coach Bomp decisions.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Like switching that kicker. I didn't do that, And there's
a time out very right before that.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
I don't know. Frustrated. I wrote this yesterday, I didn't
get to it. Let me find it. I'm glad you
said that. I wrote this about that undisciplined played kill
Louisville and coach Ron put that on him, and it is.
I've been a coach my whole life. When players get
personal files like that's gotta tell you. I used to
tell them, don't call a time out that's mine. I mean,

(36:00):
they knew what they could and couldn't do those. When
the kid pushed the guy at the end of the game,
I wouldn't cut him, but I'd be close to cutt him.
I'm telling you that's just unacceptable. But when the announcers
and I've got him by name, when where the color
booth analysts and Creighton. The sideline reporter questioned why there

(36:22):
wasn't a time I called and then Coach Brown called it.
At at the end, everyone was like, what is he doing?
I mean, I was what is he doing? I mean, guys,
I'll watch it on television. See they questioned it highly.
It was like where is he? Mentally? It's like he
gets upset with the players and doesn't stay with the
moment of the game. So I agree with you, it was.

(36:44):
It was frustrating, honestly. So right, you've got it. You
know the game that counts as Kentucky Vanderbilt, and you
said last week Kentucky's playing better. You're worried about the
game after Thanksgiving him? So am I They're playing well.
I gotta have the sweep though, dang that. I gotta
win period, if I gotta go down there to day.

(37:05):
So Steve Louill's gotta beat Kentucky. That's how there is too.
I gotta so Kentucky Vanderbilt.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
What do you have like Vanderbilt to win thirty one
to twenty one?

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Okay, I've got a thirty one twenty three. I got
a twenty one seventeen. Oh yes, Mike, I see I'm
in the bush with you. You've got the wrong winner, Mike.
I'm taking the over twenty two Kentucky seventeen Vandy. You
get the wrong winner, Steve, Louisville SMU at SMU.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Yes, I'm the s three and a half point favorite,
but I'm gonna take Louisville.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Okay, Missouri at Oklahoma, give me Oklahoma. Here's the key?
Is Brown playing for Louisville? I say Brown, the running
back back? Is he gonna play this week? He's the key.
That's all there is too. He doesn't play louis Lois though, Yo, no, no.
If he doesn't play, Louisville loses. I'll tell you all

(37:59):
right now. If he plays, Louisville can win their last
two games. If he can't play, it's gonna be really
hard for us to win. He's really good, guys. We
don't want to give a kid. He's really good. Us
see at Oregon, Oregon, Okay, Pittsburgh at Georgia.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Tate Georgia, Ted.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
I know that's easy. That's why I'm not gonna let Mike.
You made it too easy, Mike. So anyways, Steve, if
I've got you down, brother, thank you man.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
I have good one guys too, Tigure.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
So Scott, you understand what I'm saying, Scott, So, I
want people to understand the purpose of this. You're not
trying to pick the easiest game. You're trying when I
give it to you, you should trying to pick the
hardest game. Even if you don't hate the Coats or
the Chiefs. You're trying to make it to where people
have to make a decision. I guarantee it's gut nine
out of ten people will take sleepless. Who has won

(38:51):
may take Pittsburgh and upset. I don't see it. I
mean Georgia tight rolls. So that's why you know I'm
gonna from here on out, I'm gonna like the hardest
games because I'm trying to make people make decisions. I'm
trying to weed out the top. I'm gonna find out
who knows what they know? Scott. So, tonight's game, Scott.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
Then that may have changed the minds, but Notre Dame
just you know.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Mall them. No, they mauled Pittsburgh. They mauled Pittsburgh. I
don't even like.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
Sorry, so are you are you a Notre Dame believer?

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Yet? No? Mm hmm, No, not enough quality winds. No,
not enough quality Winsurgh.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Pittsburgh is a deel de win.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
No, because they won five a SEC games in a row.
Let you know that the accs are good now they
guys Cardiff fans, don't get mad at me. I just
tell the truth. Period. We talked about Stoops being let
go early in the year. They're playing awful. They've turned
it around a little bit, but we talked about it
every day. I ask every caller, I I'm telling you
the ACC is running a chance of not getting the

(40:03):
team in the college football playoffs. And I don't want
people to be mad at me. I don't I'm not
going I'm just telling the truth. Now it's in front
of them and they have to answer it.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
It's really getting to run the table.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
Now they're gonna after They've got to kill Pittsburgh and
they have to do what they did last year against
Georgia and play the mess out of them. If not
beat them, that's ru I mean in Miami, same situation.
I just don't know. But there is a way that
they do not get in. So Scott Kentucky tonight, here's

(40:37):
my problem. I got one minutes and we'll talk about
this tomorrow. Kentucky fans, I got a question. I've got
Aberdeen averaging twenty four minutes a game. I've got ah
Way averaging twenty two minutes a game. I've got the
Abati averaging twenty minutes a game. I've got Challenge twenty
three minutes a game. I got Marino at eighteen minutes
a game. We know Jalen Lowe's out at twenty three

(40:59):
minutes a game. I'm glad, I'm love that you're deep.
But again, Coach Pok, Coach Crome wanna tell me, and
he would tell anyone pick eight and play him. You'll
be better at the end. You can't play. You've gotta
play your better players thirty minutes. God, come on, man,
that's just guys. I want you all to look, Kentucky fans,
look at that stat. I don't care if you're playing blowouts.

(41:20):
Your best players have gotta play twenty eight to thirty
two minutes. Period is Eastports Radio, Scott, We'll be back tomorrow.
Let's watch the game six thirty ESBN Wildcats Michigan State
Talk Yo all tomorrow. Bye bye,
