Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome back to the sports radio. Yes, we are alive.
It is December the first, twenty twenty five. I told
you all Christmas would be here Monday. If you didn't know.
It low chilly outside, but expected. It's December the first.
Welcome back. Had to take a few days off for Thanksgiving.
I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I did so.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
I hope you will spend a lot of time with
family and friends because I did. In a lot of food,
gained a lot of weight. That's what we're supposed to do.
So now we can go back to the grind and
start to work out. Welcome back to the show. Phone
number is five zero two, five seventy nine hundred. That's
five zero two, five seventy nine hundred. This is Sports
(00:44):
Talk seven ninety. We've got Shannon the dude behind the glass.
Of course, Welcome back Shannon and guys. We got a
lot to talk about. We've got my co host. But
before I bring them on, stay right there, George, stay
right there. I want to get one serious note out.
You all have seen it on television, I'm sure, and
I'm sure that you all have yesterday for Saturday and Sunday,
(01:07):
that doctor Kelly mccant's, cardiologist Norton Healthcare, passed away. African
American gentlemen, one of my best friends. Being honest with you,
I met him during COVID. We did a COVID show
together at Saint Stephen's Family Life Center and talked about
all the things people needed to do. It is my
first time meeting him. Not true. Not true. The year
(01:29):
before that he played the two years before that. Not true.
He played in my golf outing in two thousand and
eighteen nineteen. That's when I met him. He was one
of my sponsors. Norton Healthcare always sponsors us. My man
Ron and I always take those signs around and we
would always be putting up the big Norton sign because
(01:50):
they always sponsored us. And that was doctor Kelly mccant's
and I couldn't believe when I saw that Saturday. I
just couldn't believe it when I saw the news. Fifty
year years old. Just a tremendous guy. People, I'm telling you,
it is a loss. I have no idea what has
happened yet. I'm going to reach out to the family.
(02:11):
I'm going to name my golf outing after him this year.
He did. Of course, nord In Healthcare takes care of
my Simmons athletes, Okay, take care of them in court,
physical therapy, take care of my Simmons athletes, and do
a tremendous job. And that's all from the relationship that
(02:31):
I started with doctor Kelly mccant's George Williams. I don't
know if you named Georgia. You've seen it on television,
but Miss Gwynn Blackburn posted your pictures George that you
took with doctor and I Dr Mchantson and I at
our golf outing in Hunting Creek. So I don't know
if you saw the news George or not, but the
television they've been airing it over the weekend, they've showed
(02:54):
him standing in front of our Simmons College banner, and
that's because he was always with me, always at Simmons.
But we used some of your pictures, George on our website.
So I just wanted people to know the gentleman that
you've been seeing and looking at over the weekend on
all the news channels, a fifty year old cardiologist, super
smart gentleman. Doctor Kelly mccant's was a personal friend. It's
(03:17):
a tremendous loss. George, do you know doctor mcantson. You
took pictures of me, But I don't know if you
know him.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Do you know him? Doctor No, Joe, I know I
know doctor mccant's very very very well. You know, he
came down and I have the programs I had African
American program where he came down and talked to our
young people about being a cortiologist. Let the young people
know what they could be as a cartologist. I did
you know our teacher photyraphy. I talked the photography class
(03:43):
and Jerry. Every year we did a book, well not
every year, about two or three years, we did a
book every time that I came to him. In the
last book we did, Jerry over three hundred and some
page cause probably about three to four thousand dollars. Doctor
mccant's put that up and didn't think. I didn't blink
at doing it always that. I mean, yeah, I know
him very well, Jerry. He is a great loss talk community, society, family.
(04:06):
You know, he was an outstanding man. You don't mean
and yeah, I knew him very well.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Yes, it's a great loss. So anyway, guys, I just
wanted to get that out man. Way too soon, George,
way too soon, fifty years old. So George, okay, George all,
I got to ask you, just once and for all,
who's your daddy? Who's your daddy?
Speaker 3 (04:29):
I don't have a clue. Mister Williams, mister william mister Williams,
mister Williams, mister.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Will one more time, who's your daddy? Who's your George?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Man? Don't you feel bad? He just cast a man
a job. I mean, I like, it's a man you
lose a man to lose a job. Yeah, I can't.
I can't stay here you uh and uh kind of
go with you? I mean, come on, it can't be
that kind of show. We can't be.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
I can't, George.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
He's out here, Jeff, we got change chant able way, dude.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
No, we cannot.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
We've been here too long.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Brother.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
I'm gonna tell you one thing. Jee I think you
you you at Pinchet with a Mark Stoop's man, because
when he was on the what the fifteen yard line
and he decided to go for it, I thought he won't.
He wants his money, George, I don't care. What's that
time about. I want to get paid. I'm out of here.
(05:39):
You know what I mean. I said, Lord, twenty to.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Nothing, it's ten minutes to go, nine forty five in
the third quarter. The game's not over. One turnover can
flip things. It's not over. It's tilting, but it's not over.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
George.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
I couldn't believe that call. I'm just I said, he's
doing what he's going for it on what I said,
no way, It's just no way, George. When that kid
dropped that ball.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
I'm getting paid.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Game over, George, sixty days, thirty seven point seven million.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Give me my money. I'm getting paid.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
I'm gonna tell you what's so funny. I'm gonna tell
what's so funny. Every photographer on the sideline, you know
when when about, We know when the team's gonna punch,
So we walk down another way so we can be
close to where they're gonna call their players at and
you know, get some good shots. So everybody getting ready
to pick up their cameras and walk to the end
because we know, you know you got more. But we walking,
(06:34):
we know it's gonna be a punk. And then we
look up in the offense stays on the field chair,
everybody looking at each other and all we can say,
is he want to get paid?
Speaker 1 (06:45):
George, you know what I thought. I said, he's cold.
He said, let's get this thick over with.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
So we don't.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
And I'm leaving Kentucky. And I'm even Kentucky out of
this game. I don't know why we my Thanksgiving dinner,
but it won't be in this bluegrass state.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Oh, George, George, I mean, it was just amazing, George.
No one, Now, let's be honest about the game. I
didn't last year. Years before, I said upset City, I
had fumba coach of beer. I had no idea what
was gonna happen this year of anything. My contest people
(07:18):
were leaning a little bit Kentucky. The betting public Vegas
had Louis wo I think two point favorites. But it
was almost I heard bent down to even I don't
I don't get it. I could be wrong. Don't y'all
hold me to that anyway, But that's why I kind
of heard George. But there's no way anyone. When you
and I sat before and the young lady had hardly
(07:39):
anything on it, We're looking at her and saying, are
you gonna be cold outside? She looked said heated and
ship Hey heated jacket. George. I looked at you and said,
you're in trouble. George. No one expected forty one than nothing,
No one, George. Nothing.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
I mean, I don't I didn't talk to a soul
that was that judge score. I mean, no nobody picked
that score.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
No one picked that scare George. In my contest, I
want to give people the scores what people thought. Twenty
four to twenty three, and I'm not I don't care
about who's the winner. Twenty seven to twenty one, twenty seventeen,
twenty five to twenty two to nine, twenty seven, fourteen
thirty one, twenty one, twenty one, thirteen, twenty seven, twenty
(08:24):
thirty one, twenty eight, twenty four to twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Eight six.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
You know that was Johnny. Johnny said eight to six.
He didn't know he picked Kentucky. Still lost but again
twenty seven, twenty four, fourteen seventeen George, twenty four ten,
twenty four, seventeen, twenty five, twenty eight, George. No one
had forty one nothing. Nobody was even closer, No one, George.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
No Vegas, not even Vegas. And we always had with Vegas.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Anything like it, he said, George, I've never seen anything
like it. I mean absolutely. Louiville had two running backs
that had run the ball a total of thirteen times,
both of them hundre plus rushes. So let's just start here.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Now. You're kind of about the guy, the guy that
stands too. What guy about George running back? Y'all suit
it up, set up everybody.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
George, Yeah, George, it didn't make any difference too, Georgie,
I'm a guarden. We're seven fifteen because Shannon, Christmas is
coming and we're gonna have to have a lot of shows.
Let's make sure we cut this show. So I'm in
the state of task seven fifteen thirty and forty five.
George wins. When we come back, we're gonna talk seriously
about what happened, what transpired in this game, that lost
(09:40):
coach stoops his job, and all I'm gonna tell is this, George,
I have a lot of friends to Kentucky fans. His
butt should be fired before he gets in the locker room.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
George.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
That was more halftime. The third quarter play hadn't even happened.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
George, Well, we came back to it.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Hey, Jerry, I think he was smiling with your friends.
I'm taking my money. I'm getting out of it.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Did I'm got sick.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
I don't think he was seven million.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
We're gonna talk about it after the break, Shinning. Let's
take us away. Seven to sixteen. Is the sports radio
on numbers five year, O two, five, seven, seventy nine hundred.
We'll talk you all after the break. Welcome back to
the sports radio. Guys. It is December the first. I
did say, December the first, twenty twenty five Monday. I've
got the one and only George Williams. Hey, George, I
(10:30):
got a clearve but you never answered. You never answered me.
Who's your daddy?
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Man?
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Just going to say your graduate of Louisville say it?
Say it man, like all he said, say it Man
to Joe Frazier, say it.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
I can't hear you. Jay got static on the line.
We have static on the line, Jaed. I'm gonna work.
I'm gonna work on getting that picture. Will go to
our next column. Okay, Okay, there you go. I'm anesthetic
work out.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
And is your guy twenty yours?
Speaker 3 (10:59):
I mean all of them? You Yeah, I know, I know,
Ba my man, Bubba, I can feel, Bubba, where you
call it.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
I know you get good, Bubba. I can feel it too, Bubba,
who's your daddy? Who's your daddy? Who's your daddy?
Speaker 4 (11:19):
But they took him to your shed, buddy, that that
was bad. And you know, and you sit there and
you're watching you and I was kind of watching the
sidelines and just stooped. Look the look on the guy's
face was like, you know, he was just he was
beat down. And those guys they just flat quit. And
when you got to walk on Freshman that runs for
(11:42):
over a hundred hundred yards and and look really good,
I mean that was that was just a bad day
and they had no choice but to cut it loose.
And the thing of it is, there's not many coaches
that can maintain that level of competitiveness for an eight, nine, ten,
twelve years. Most these guys they go, you know, if
(12:06):
you know, if you get in there five six years
and get on top and you just can't maintain that.
There's only a few guys saving. Uh you know, Cala
Perry's been around, but you know this, uh, Sishewsky. But
it's it's just tough to do. But the main reason
(12:27):
I called in is I sent you a picture Thanksgiving morning.
I don't know if did you get it.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
I saw somebody practicing. That's not the main reason.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Who's your daddy?
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Did you change this to talk about you?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Well?
Speaker 4 (12:41):
And I'm getting ready to get this and you're gonna
get another post. You'll get another poster to this year
for another three peat. But but no, that I mean
U of L staff is probably standing over there, going,
what the heck is happening here?
Speaker 1 (12:57):
This is on the level everybody was. Everybody was, okay
to you, George, stay there, Bubba George. I'm gonna throw
it to you first. I really, did anyone have any
idea that University of Louisville was gonna whip Kentucky at
the line of scrimmage offensively and defensively that way? Did
anybody think that was I mean, whip them period, point blank?
(13:18):
Anybody think that was gonna happen?
Speaker 3 (13:21):
No, jeded. They beat them up pretty bad, pretty bad.
I was standing by UH at one point during the game.
I was standing by I think they very significant UK
donut and alumni and Jerry he was fired. He said, man,
you know we traveled down here. He said, I've been
paying twenty seven years or this UK Salvary. He said
(13:42):
to come here and watch this now, Jared was it was.
It was some round people on the sideline going to
the locker room, going up to the press room. Jerry
didn't nobody expected and they were some upset people about it.
And they thought they would really play better because they
thought that suit shots was on the line. You know,
everybody thought that the team and the players in such
(14:03):
a high collar of a game. People thought that this
would be a bond Berner jer and uh uh, this
is one of you know, being a coach when you
go in the locker room and none you can say,
but just put on your good guys, I won't see
you no more, but I put on you.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Let's go, Bubba baba. Did you think that University of
Louisville would whipped them? Okay, everybody was kind of a
little upset and the cutter bowl knock really but a
little bit. He had no chance, had a three man
rushing three people.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Sacking the guy's running for his life and throwing off
his back foot and off his heels, and you know,
uh help Peyton Manning couldn't withstood that.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
I mean, it's just George well.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
I'll tell you what.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
If I knew they was going to win by forty
forty to nothing, I shoot, I'd have found everybody, everybody
I known. I said, look, I'll give you Kentucky in thirty.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Nine and i'.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I'd have been shipping.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
I've been buying an island today. But yeah, that was bad.
That was bad be be out there in that cold
watching it. It wasn't when it wasn't windy, it was cold.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
But tell everybody, Uh, moved the game back to the first.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Game of the year it was.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
And I tell you, I'm and I'm gonna throw something
else out there. And I hate even saying this that
if Kentucky gets beat tomorrow night badly, yeah, they might
go downhill too.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Oh yeah, I didn't watch basketball, but I was watching
basketball the other day and they was asking, uh, the
palelists on the show on some networks and what they
thinking was certain team needs. And one guy, one of
the commentators got up and said, Mark Pope, you're gonna
have to bring your team some heart. He said, you
(16:03):
got to buy some heart for them, fellas, because they
don't seem to have nothing. Well, Mark, that's what they need.
They need a John wall.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
They need their Marcus cousins. They need a Tyler. Euless
is gonna get up in your face, you know. And
you gotta you gotta have some nasty And I watched
out you watch some other games. I watched Saint John's.
Saint John's will beat them up, make them like it.
They got men out there and beat you up and
just push you around.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Kentucky sauce. They ain't got busted. They done got busted
in their face twice over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
But but it's it's gonna be interesting. It's but you know,
with the and I you know, the money in the portal,
it's just it's just not the same anymore so.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
But just the Michigan game, the young men are gonna
have eighty some thousand dollars a piece over the Wicked.
That's gonna be beautiful. Yeah, yeah, but hey, getting eighty thousand.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Hey, but I'll let you guys go and and and Jerry,
I'll shoot you a uh A picture of the school
board from Croverfield Saturday about six thirty.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
How's that?
Speaker 3 (17:08):
What's happening in craigor Field? Bubba?
Speaker 4 (17:11):
They started four So I'm gonna shoot this. I'll shoot
you a picture of.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
The school board. Happened and what's gonna happen up at Bubba?
Well went on?
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Well they they now scored scored everybody probably you know,
you know they beat st next to the in the
night and that was that was ugly too.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
And there I'll say it's gonna be like forty Oh
yeah it was. Oh you're talking about that? Okay, okay,
you hear that, Jerry, Yeah, I did.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
I want to hear about Trinity. I don't care about Trinity,
isn't you know?
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I did.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
The only reason I'm glad you beat Sammy Xavier is
because John Carney had a double knife this weekend. It's
castle down at Carney's Galleries. Any bigger with them? Hey? John,
how was your weekend? You?
Speaker 1 (18:08):
You have.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yea in the band?
Speaker 3 (18:13):
And one more thing.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
The bad thing about Louisville they're saying that they're going
to paint a bowl out in Arizona. Now, who's going
out there?
Speaker 2 (18:22):
You are?
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (18:23):
No, I don't think so you're going out. We've converted
to you.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Who's your dad?
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Well, you know.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
I've been to a practicer too, you know, I you
know what, I've grown up.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
I've grown up.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
I've matured in my old age.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
You know I'm not. I look at things different. You know.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
It's you know, it's just a game and kids. So
let's all have fun and drink tea and hold hand.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
So but I'm gonna tell you I hated this day,
bubb because I knew I'd have to come in and
see this little round the boy, and I knew he
had to I'll show along. But I started, I'm talking
to Bubba, Jerry. I'm not talking about Bubba.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
You always did.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
I'll wait. I did wait for you, George. I wouldn't
have answered. I wouldn't have answered, Hey George, Hey George,
I've got an I've got an idea, George, you and
I could start our own show and run Jerry out
of business. He's gonna be hard to do.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
So, Bubba, you and George at seven nine, and we
got to stay on tab because we're cutting this show,
even with me getting cut off since this thing is
started back in two thousand, Bubba the football, George and
I want you all to seriously think about this. We're
gonna go to break, then we come back and let
you talk about it. Then I'm gonna let you go Bubba.
But since two thousands, Louis was one most of the games, guys,
(19:49):
I Kentucky just being honest with you. Now, I'm a
SEC man. I've been rating about the SEC. But the
bottom line is since Louilan Kentucky's we started this in
two thousands, it was one more games I want you'all's
opinion on That is the East Sports Radio. We'll talk
to you after the break. Welcome back to East Sports Radio.
Sorry for the technical difficulties. Seven thirty two The Simmer.
(20:12):
The first I got George Williams on the other line.
George had to let Bubba go. We've got another caller though, George.
But before I let you go, George, they restarted this thing.
But it was one of most of the games that
surprised me. What do you think, Joe, I really hadn't
thought about it, you know what I mean? Uh, that
(20:34):
is that is shocking, you know what I'm saying, But hey,
it happens.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
It seems like, yeah, yes, but it just kind of
surprised me. Yep, let's go. You know, yeah, you know
I would I would agree with you also, Jerry, you
know because of the you know, we think are the
(20:59):
talent level the A, I mean the SEC and I
would think more. But you know, but but like I say,
you know, we really haven't had great quarterback in a
couple of years. Jed that could do something with it.
But yeah, you would. You would look at it, and
I would be shocked. I would like to look into
it more because I really I really hadn't looked at that.
Tell you the truth. I am fast. I agree with
(21:19):
you on that. I agree with you on that.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Johnny, Welcome to the sports radio.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
How are you hey doing good? And gentlemen, Hey George,
Hey doing sir? Yes, sir, Well, we saw who was
bad and who was the worst. Uh we know who's
the worst. But uh don't mean conduct little was any good.
I mean we're still bad. We just were better that day,
a lot better, a whole lot better.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
No, joy, this this was my take.
Speaker 5 (21:49):
This is my take from the game, guys that it
was great to see those two freshmen running backs do that.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
But here's the key. It's like, when ever we ran
the ball all season, we would.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
Run the ball three times and get negative yards or
two yards, and then every third series somebody might break
a fifty yard run. That's not controlling the game. You
want somebody who's gonna run the ball three to eight
to nine yards a carry and move the ball that
one drive that had the ball for eleven minutes. That's
how you control the game.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
That's that's a running game. It's too inconsistent. A break
off fifty yard run.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
You might get one a game or two at the most.
But to be able to control the game like that,
that was the difference. That's what they hadn't had all year.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
And I watched a lot of games, watched a lot
of their games, and even when they won, I was
like that what they didn't play good? You know what
I mean? And that was that was the first game
I've seen that they controlled the game.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Okay, let's see correct.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
George Braxton Jenny's twenty carries for one hundred and thirteen
yards five point seven, Sean Boykin's twenty two carries for
one hundred one yards four point six, And this is
that's what you want, I mean, that's what you want
to Big Miller most finally didn't stay in the pocket
and with the bid, he didn't run straight four or five.
It's live he should have done that year. He went yeah,
(23:18):
in the pocket all year right, he ran in front.
I couldn't believe it. George, no carriage eighteen yards Miller Moss.
Now now that I heard this guy, this is what
I heard it. Now, Steve's gets his money within all
of his money in sixty days.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Sixty days, sixty days.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
That's a big that's a big payout, you know what
I mean. M hmm. But I mean, like you said,
I'm not to get he's got. I mean, they agreed
to the contract, they have to pay him.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
There's no way you would leave. Come on, guys, no, no, no,
you know I'm not leaving either nor exactly. Now they
keep talking about.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Johnny John Johnny Yeah when people, let me just tell
you straight up, I was the head coach at ANT nine.
I got paid eleven years. I got paid two years
ago home. There was no way I was gonna quit.
Whoever said please, no one, no way, no way, so
(24:23):
that let's take that off students plate. There's no way period.
I was shocked at the coaching. His thick coach gave
them the discount that he did.
Speaker 5 (24:33):
Yeah right, This is the other thing, Like they keep
talking about college football turning too like the NFL. But
do you see how many SEC head coaching jobs that
just went up and they all got took. I mean,
this is really the first year of the n I L.
I mean, who knows how these.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Guys are gonna do.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
It could flip the whole uh power shift to the
Big ten. And who knows what this is SEC is
going to be. Now you got all these new coaches.
I mean, some of them are going to be hits,
some are going to be messes, and some of them
might do okay. But just because you're Florida doesn't mean
you're gonna kill it anymore, you know what I mean.
There's too many other possibilities for something else to happen.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
No tending Florida state. Everybody thought that'd be an easy turnaround.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
It hasn't tried to.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Just don't know. That's six jobs. That's six jobs, Hugh.
But all right, guys, see you Johnny, Hey, all right,
good morning. Hold up, let me just give since you're
I'm gonna give out the games for this week. I
did have a winner last week. You didn't get in
the Briars Bush with We will do that tomorrow. No, now,
(25:43):
I just do that score out there for fine.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
I know that.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
No, but but this week games. It's b YU against
Texas Tech in Dallas. Right, it's Georgia Alabama in Atlanta.
The game that matters the game. I want your score?
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Is I you.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Ohio State in Indiana?
Speaker 3 (26:08):
You're not today? Are you? Duke?
Speaker 2 (26:11):
If you want to, I will, I've got Duke. Okay,
I'll go at Virginia. Okay, you ready, Johnny, your first Johnny?
All I want is I you at Ohio State? What
your score? I'll take you seventeen to fourteen? Okay, give
me the Briars patch er. No, yes, okay, you'll take
(26:34):
you'll take me over.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
I don't matter.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
I'm no, no, no, But because you get wrong, I'm
still going with State. I'm going with Ohio State. But
this is gonna I think it'll be split in half.
I'm taking eighteen in the over. I have no idea
what the spread is. God, y'all know, I don't.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
I mean, they're going to score a lot of points,
but they're playing each other, so it's.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Gonna be a low scoring game in my opinion, But
you never know. Yeah, right, George, who's your daddy, George?
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Johnny, Johnny's on the line, very good going down. It's
not as good, you know, to the bad put on
Dan's giving Johnny, Right, tell me the st George, me
my day. Tell me shut up again, George. This makes
me feel so good that I've got shot. Oh you
can tell me what to be quiet, George. That is
(27:29):
on the edge, Johnny, we got a guess on the line.
Could you please be considered and go ahead, Johnny, do
what you're doing. Go ahead, all right, b.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Y you tah. God, I shall take him to me.
I don't. I don't even know.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
God.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I'll say, Texas Tech.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
I'm gonna take this tack.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
I don't think that's a pickle.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
I don't like by you at all. Alabama, George, Alabama.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
God, Uh they're playing in Atlanta, right, Yes, they're playing
in Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
I'll say I'll take Georgia.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
I'll take Georgia, taking Georgia. I got you.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Then. All I want people to know is George's only
loss came to you know, Johnny, Alabama beat Georgia. Alabama,
just so we know. Yeah, that's just for all.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
This is first.
Speaker 5 (28:21):
This matters though, you know what I mean that Georgia
are always more kick freaking game.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
I agree they do, but it matters more for Alabama.
I don't agree with it.
Speaker 5 (28:30):
I don't God, well yeah, if I'm just we're bragging right,
like we want the SEC tournament, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Right, But there's no way Georgia and Anton right after
the break, there's no way. If Alabama loses, it doesn't
get in. They need they need to break this thing up.
I don't care. Yeah, Alabama is the second best team
in Alabama and Alabama gets it in teams getting in. No,
they have to get it. They better not be I'm
just being honest. Let's go to Duke Virginia. Yeah, that's ridiculous.
(29:02):
Oh did you present?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Yeah? Uh, God, who knows, I'll say, dude, who knows?
Speaker 2 (29:10):
I mean, why not?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Yeah? Right right?
Speaker 2 (29:14):
I mean you're not playing basketball, so we'll see what happens.
They're not. They're not. And the only reason I threw
this game in is because if Tulane wins, they've got
a chance to not and and Douke win. No acc
teams to get in the last thing. Lane lost their
coach too. But they said he can that, he's that.
(29:34):
They said he can coach the uh the ball game though, yes,
yes he is, but sometimes about right right?
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Right?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Who you're going with who you going with?
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Texas?
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Yes? Oh Tulane, Okay, got you, Yes, Johnny. I appreciate you,
co brother, Thank you man.
Speaker 5 (29:56):
All Right, guys, you'll have a good morning, you too, Jerry,
ha Merry Christmas question.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
We'll talk again, George. Okay, we're ten forty two and
we're staying right on task. This college football playoff stuff.
I've been I posted my top twelve team. I want
people to post their top twelve as of today, not
as after the tournament, after the playoff games, the conference
playoff games, but as of today, George, I have no
(30:26):
idea how the college football ratings rate these teams, George.
If Alabama loses to George and doesn't get in, they
need to fire the staff. I'm just George. It makes
absolutely no sense. How they have them ranked where they're ranked,
(30:47):
makes no sense, George. So I'm gonna give them to you.
Then everybody can think about this during the break when
we come back. Ohio State first, Indiana second, Georgia is third,
Oregon is fourth, Texas fifth, oh Missus sixth eleven to one.
Texas A and M is seventh eleven and one. Texas
(31:07):
A and M lost to Texas, They're seventh. Oklahoma is
eighth at ten and two. Notre Dame is ninth at
ten and two. Alabama is tenth at ten and two.
All I'm gonna tell you is this Notre Dame is
beating nobody. I know, I got some Notre Dame fans.
Their only top twenty wins when the rankings come out
(31:28):
tomorrow is USC That's the only one. That's their only win.
You look at in Alabama, who has already beaten Georgia.
I mean, guys, I'm gonna give it to you after
the break, George. They're on drugs, they're smoking something. I
don't get it, and I'm gonna explain it to you
after the break. If Alabama doesn't get in, it's a disgrace.
(31:52):
It's all there is to it, period E. Sports Radio.
We'll talk to you all after the break. Welcome back
to Sports Radio seven forty seven. It is of the
first Monday, beautiful day. Yes, George, I can taste that pie. George,
I can't wait to bite and do it. Oh, George,
(32:13):
I just can't wait. I can't, George.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
I'm a bad winner.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
I'm sorry, George.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
You are Jared, you are you are yeah, there's no nobody.
You know what I mean, no doubt what what? What
I don't understand is how people call in jar and
don't don't don't light you up because you are a
terrible winner. You know what I mean. You don't give
a mark a break to you. Back the band, ride
it over, go, get the sixteen wheeler. Back it up,
ride it over, back it up. I started to leave town,
(32:41):
Jared over almost almost left town. I didn't want to
deal with you so bad, I.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Guess, sir, George. I went and met you know, you
didn't show up for Mike Mike's manage you my brother.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
I go to mind because you didn't tell me what?
Oh Mike, Mike, Jared didn't tell me where to go? Okay, George, Mike,
Jerry did not tell me where you at. I was
going to ask you. I was gonna tell Jerry. He
(33:13):
didn't tell me where Mike was. Now, Mike, I was
looking to tell you, but I couldn't find Judge and
tell me nothing, So I couldn't come nowhere.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Jerry evening with George, you know the Cardinals. He was
tailgate with Cardinals Cardinal cheerleaders at that George.
Speaker 6 (33:36):
I'm telling you right now, I used to hate that
the game was the very first game of the year.
I was advogating to move it to the last game
of the year. That way you could knock somebody out
of the playoffs or out of going to a ball game.
But now that I'm over that, five oh, Mark, I'm
an advocate to putting that thing back at the very
(33:58):
beginning of the season.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Why why why.
Speaker 6 (34:06):
It was Raye, I have not been.
Speaker 7 (34:08):
That cold in a long time.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
I'm telling you it was cold. I mean, it wasn't witty,
but it was cold. That's what most of the time
it was.
Speaker 6 (34:20):
It was so it was so cold, George, I didn't
need I gave my ticket to my youngest son and said,
I'm going home, get me the keys of your truck.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
I went.
Speaker 7 (34:30):
I went and laid on the couch and fired up
the fireplaces and watched the games.
Speaker 6 (34:34):
And why he was freezing his butt off at the game,
I wish.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
I could have been, because I definitely wanted to leave. Hey, George,
George was there. Mike was the cheering for the Cardinals.
Speaker 7 (34:45):
Let's say, no, come on now, I ain't gonna have it.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Jerry, tell everybody the truth.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
That's a guy one worked for. Yeah, he he's a
cardinal fan, lives in Lexington, runs the PEPSI described.
Speaker 7 (35:04):
Ship and remember he also said he graduated from my youth.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
He's he's he's all screw you want to go.
Speaker 7 (35:16):
He will never lose, you know, we just need to
ship We need to ship him in northern Kentucky.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Exactly, George. We had everything, but like, who's your daddy?
Just I need to know? And John Carney won't say
it for me. Carney's galleries. He's got back.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Neither you got.
Speaker 7 (35:35):
You got your broom, got your broom. I'll give you
that much. You got your broom.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
I did, George. I had my broom out in the
parking lot. We he was George.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
He was yelling at all off the buntin before George.
That's the kind of you couldn't have found him when
that game was over. He would have been down at
halftime in the school with the difference.
Speaker 6 (35:57):
Jared the whole game.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
I left when it was twenty seven when they scored
that touchdown. When can you tuk? You went for it
on fourth on the fifteen yard line and three the touchdown?
Speaker 3 (36:08):
I was.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
So so what the first quarter.
Speaker 7 (36:17):
Say, what did you do the first quarter? Nothing else,
nothing else was going right, George, might as well. I
mean by that by that time the game was already over.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
I mean.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
Over. Oh right, your comments for your point, your no no,
Mike said far exkeeps me four halftime said, don't let
anybody in the locker room. I'm telling you you were
kind of I did.
Speaker 7 (36:45):
Yeah, I have made I'd have made them all walk
back to lexingdon I want to let I wouldn't have
let none other coaches. Dad get back on the bus
five year od way home. You got thirty seven million dollars,
Get a ride.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
This is awful. Wildcat coaches can't believe you all.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
You look how you were treating your quarterback, Jerry until
he won the game. Yeah, yes, your quarterback to just
the other day.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 7 (37:20):
Yeah, parking lot, George, George, even in the parking lot,
Jerry said his quarterback was terrible.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
And now he wanted to come up back. You know,
I had my broom, I had my broom out, George.
But I did see my quarterback was off. But I
didn't know they were gonna be playing Kentucky. You know,
a little step above sainting Xavier. I didn't know that.
Speaker 7 (37:43):
Saint that's would have walked us, Jerry, don't get don't

Speaker 2 (37:49):

Please call the show. Please do not always oh no,

Speaker 3 (39:15):
And we all know, and we all know that Mike

Perfect fun. No, I think he's everybody. It seems like
you're having fun. Why don't you let Mike have fun
(40:00):
raising your price? Because we know how you feel about money.
He did.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
He just tried to hurt me, hit me below the belt.
That's why I'm letting go, John Cardiff, everybody and Carney's
Galleries is perfect, George. But John, why everybody else? And

Speaker 3 (40:16):
