about this University of Louisville game. We've got to get
right into It didn't surprise me. Louisville started the same
way they started against Cincinnati on the road, truly trying
to play completely perimeter basketball, and with that, when you
don't make shots, you put yourself in a deficit. Secondly,

when you shoot all perimeter shots, it's very hard to
get to the free throw line, which gives teams opportunities
to get right on all rebounds. Arkansas was able to
rebound the ball at a very high rate, got into
transition and exploit Louisville's defense. In transition, I mean straight
line layup dunks and straight line layups ninety four feet.

That's just incredibly poor defense. Yesterday that we watched from
University Louisville in that first half, just incredibly undisciplined basketball.

when we were talking about point guards and shooting guards
and what they do and what they can do for
your team, I told people that I told Baron Davis
with the Charlotte Hornets, the number three draft pick in

has to he's the best player on Louibel's team. He is.
He has to be restrained. When he plays with discipline,
the team will play with more discipline and they'll even
be a better team. Did it surprise me that Swaggy
Cow and Arkansas won? No. We watched the first half
of the Cincinnati game, it looked the same. Cincinnati just

could not score the ball like Arkansas, and that he
didn't have the skilled players like Arkansas to be able
to score the basketball. So when you're starting to critique
the University of Louisville, you must and you have to
put the most earnest on the best player, and that
is Marko Brown. For a moment, I like Conwell, He's

played really, really, really well because he's still limited in
size and length and what he can do. If they're
good athletes that are put on Ryan Conwell that when
I say good athletes long in stature, tall, long arms
will have a more difficult time scoring the ball, he

contested long threes. We all saw the shots they were taking,
contested long three pointers. That's why it's more important for
team play, team aspect, and for Louisville to find a
way to develop a low post game. Again, guys, you

old enough to understand, I'm just telling you I scored

eleven hundred of them on layups and free throws. In college,
there's a way that you can post your guards and

no low postgame because you don't have a ciner. That's
not problem. A lot of teams don't. But there's a
lot of ways to create interior basketball. I think in
the second half of the Louisville game, you started to
see Marco Brown attacking the basket shooting layups. You started
to see Louisville getting to the basketball. Hatley was able

to get to the basket and get some layups to
cut the score, to make it a five point game
and make it competitive. But the bottom line, Louisville has
to find a way to be balanced. We're going to
see these next three out of four or five games
to where they're playing very competitive competition that the three
point line can be a kiss of death. It's beautiful

when it goes in. I'm telling you, oh boy, people
love to see them when they go in, But when
they don't, your team must be balanced basketball wise. That's
the thing that makes this game beautiful. I hate that
it's going to so much layups. Three pointers or free
throw is being taught. I don't agree with that. Yes,

you must shoot the three, you must, absolutely, it is
a weapon. But it still has to be a balanced
game for you to be a balanced team, and you
do not have to have huge sinners to be a
low post team. To post doesn't mean I have to
go get a six' ten to forty five two hundred
and forty five pounds that will be able to post

in the, paint spread out and get. Big that's just not.
True you can post your. Guards you just have to
find ways to find the mismatch to help your team
play inside, out which then will help. McNeely if the
team plays inside out and he doesn't have to create

task at hand and having a great practice that keeps

them mentally, tough keeps them mentally, sharp and keeps them
prepared to go out and play that we're supposed to
play the standard and the standard will not change for
anyone that comes into this. Program and that's that's the
daily task of being in this, position and that's you,
know keeping your foot on the, gas and our staff

sure our guys have been.

KNOW i think finding the right high school kids that
can come in and can either play right, away you,
know if they're mentally physically ready have the tall kind
of toughness to play right. Away if not having to
plan for that freshman to develop them and keep them
in your program and keep them ready to go for

their for their red shirt freshman. Year if, not then
you go get you some older guys that are ready
to play right, away that also that put the, program
that fit the, culture that understand the standard of what
we are trying to do, here which is which is,
when which is when when big time games win championships
and be a part of. That so you, know there's

there's always that there's good bad that we would withou
going with the transfer portal because you have guys that
could come in with their own, agendas but you quickly
make sure they know that what our, team what our
team agenda, is and our standard and if not gonna

way they started against Cincinnati on the road, truly trying
to play completely perimeter basketball, and with that, when you
don't make shots, you put yourself in a deficit. Secondly,

when you shoot all perimeter shots, it's very hard to
get to the free throw line, which gives teams opportunities
to get right on all rebounds. Arkansas was able to
rebound the ball at a very high rate, got into
transition and exploit Louisville's defense. In transition, I mean straight
line layup dunks and straight line layups ninety four feet.

That's just incredibly poor defense. Yesterday that we watched from
University Louisville in that first half, just incredibly undisciplined basketball.

He has to be restrained. When he plays with discipline,

could not score the ball like Arkansas, and that he
didn't have the skilled players like Arkansas to be able
to score the basketball. So when you're starting to critique
the University of Louisville, you must and you have to
put the most earnest on the best player, and that
is Marko Brown. For a moment, I like Conwell, He's

played really, really, really well because he's still limited in
size and length and what he can do. If they're
good athletes that are put on Ryan Conwell that when
I say good athletes long in stature, tall, long arms
will have a more difficult time scoring the ball, he

just will. It is what it is. He was three
for twelve from the three point line because they were
contested long threes. We all saw the shots they were taking,
contested long three pointers. That's why it's more important for
team play, team aspect, and for Louisville to find a
way to develop a low post game. Again, guys, you

old enough to understand, I'm just telling you I scored

eleven hundred of them on layups and free throws. In college,
there's a way that you can post your guards and

no low postgame because you don't have a ciner. That's
not problem. A lot of teams don't. But there's a
lot of ways to create interior basketball. I think in
the second half of the Louisville game, you started to
see Marco Brown attacking the basket shooting layups. You started
to see Louisville getting to the basketball. Hatley was able

to get to the basket and get some layups to
cut the score, to make it a five point game
and make it competitive. But the bottom line, Louisville has
to find a way to be balanced. We're going to
see these next three out of four or five games
to where they're playing very competitive competition that the three
point line can be a kiss of death. It's beautiful

when it goes in. I'm telling you, oh boy, people
love to see them when they go in, But when
they don't, your team must be balanced basketball wise. That's
the thing that makes this game beautiful. I hate that
it's going to so much layups. Three pointers or free
throw is being taught. I don't agree with that. Yes,

you must shoot the three, you must, absolutely, it is
a weapon. But it still has to be a balanced
game for you to be a balanced team, and you
do not have to have huge sinners to be a
low post team. To post doesn't mean I have to

in the, paint spread out and get. Big that's just not.
True you can post your. Guards you just have to
find ways to find the mismatch to help your team
play inside, out which then will help. McNeely if the
team plays inside out and he doesn't have to create
