Saturday and a good game. Ithought Florida was gonna beat them. I

that we played Florida at North Carolinaand t George December. I want to
say eighteenth, which means school's out, George. The student section was still
there. They were there when wegot there three hours before the game,

I take Kentucky. I come back, George. They were banking in

Some people want to play the game, and they want to share the ball

people believed that Bradshaw was not goingto play because he had Lebron James,

one out of bounds, played,got him an open shot, knocked it

big block at the end. Bradshaw'splaying really well for Kentucky and also Onionsu's
back, George, he's back.They've got a big body to bang and

done a great job of recruiting guardsand speed. So George Kentucky's fairly formidable.

the press conference. Uh yes,what change in the second half? Florida
obviously came out physical. If youhave to adjust to that style, player

that's enough of this. But therewere we they had twenty three points shot,
we gave them two breakaway layups becauseit's just threw it away, and

That's not who we are. Andthe guys locked down defensively and played.

tape and they play a little.They can really shoot. They play as

us up the court. We nevergot matched down. Second half week you
met perfect. So, George,when you're looking at the stats of this
Florida game, I want people tounderstand that coach Cali Perry's correct. Both
teams played extremely fast. Kentucky hadsixty eight field goals, so did Florida.

Both teams limited their turnovers. Itwas an entertaining game to watch,
George, if you didn't get achance to watch it all very entertaining game
to watch. But when it waswinning time, Kentucky made huge plays with
young kids, which is impressive.What did you think of the game,
George, Well, Jared, thefirst thing you got to think of it
as a coach. As a coach, you want to see these kind of

games where you're playing against talent isas good as yours, if not better
in some places. And then yougo to their home and you're able to
play them in a close game,Jerry. And then you're a very very
young team and you're able to pullout the victory. Jerry. That for
the coach was more inspiring than anythingbecause he got to see what he had,
what kind of team he really has. And then when you go away

and you stay the environment is likeit is and you are able to put
victory off jer That expresses that you'rea very, very talented team, Jerry.
And to win a two point game, four point game, those are
the games coaches love to win morethan the twenty five point blowouts and fans
don't understand that. But you getto see what kind of heart, how
you play down at the end,what the clutch players are, who you

go two players are. You getto see a lot in those games,
Jed, that you don't get tosee. And blowouts a lot of fans
love to see, but coaches loveto see the one two point wins,
especially when you win it on theroad. That is even more impressive.
Jet. No, it really is. This is a crazy stat, George,
for Kentucky fans hard to believe.Also, the Kentucky has won six

consecutive times at Gainesville. That hasnot happened since Adolph Rup nineteen sixty four.
Has not happened. I mean,Florida is a very tough place to
play, George, really it,And coach Coll's now won six games in
a row had happened since in nineteensixty four, so right at this time,
coach Col's got the Gators number.But Florida's going to be a very

good team this year, George.They will improve. Don't got a match
it. Golden has done a verygood job with that team and they're continuing
to improve. I like their bigmen. They play inside out, George.
Even though they play fast, George, they want to play inside out.
That's why coach Cali Perry was talkingabout how they were man handling Bradshaw
early. They were because they're they'reinside, physical presence, George. They

kill people on the boards. They'rehuge, only in Kentucky by three.
Yes, and not only that,Jared, they matched up with Kentucky because
they also have big guards. Also. That's why I said they had talent
in many area that Kentucky didn't haveas good I have, not better.
I mean they were. That's avulnerable team that you'll see in tournament time

there. That was like a tournamenttype atmosphere and game. So that is
really very beneficial to Kentucky later onin the season, and a lot of
people not looking at it, butlater on the season that kind of environment
will help them a lot more.Oh no, no, George, if
Florida continues to improve, especially theirhalf court interior defense. They gave Kentucky

too many points in the paint.DJ Wagner lived at the rim. He
lived at the rim. But ifthey improved that, George, they're a
tough out come in CAA tournament timebecause of their size, because of their
length and size, George, They'rea tough out. Yeah. I think
they still are tough out. Evenwith that win yesterday. I thought both
of those showed that they both highcalib NCAA tea. But I think that

if they stay, you know,but we know each one of them are
gonna get better. So we knowthat Florida's gonna be a hard out.
We know that Kentucky's gonna be hardout. So they shows that the SEC
does have outstanding basketball. Oh.I mean, that's well, George.
The SEC has really improved basketball ways. We understood their football prowess. We
understood that, we all did,but they're basketball the last eight or nine

years has really improved. No.Before that, Billy Donovan when he went
back to back at Florida, Georgewas kind of the arrival of the second
era after eight offer ups run withKentucky. But when you go back to
back in Florida national champions, whichBilly Donovan did, that kind of brought
the SEC back to the light ofari a basketball conference. Also always had

great talent, but they went backto back Georgia and Florida. People don't
know what back to back. Well, Lin Cruell went to a final Ford
Florida also George. Florida is agood team, good team historically. But
what I think, I think theadding of the coaches that have gone to
the SEC now have made a differencein what the SEC looks like. I

think they have great coaches. Imean back in the day, basically was
eight off r up Alabama, Tennessee. That's why you had your only coaches
because the SEC ru didn't care aboutbasketball. But now I think they've taken
to it. They've had the outstandingcoaches around the country jail and you can
see what coaching does. It doesmake a difference, Oh, it does.
No Kentucky and the SEC has arrived. Alabama of course was number one

for a long time last year throughall the turbulence that they had. Yeah,
George this Kentucky team. This isthe thing that impressed me because I'm
always leery of young teams, andso are Kentucky fans. If everybody's being
honest with themselves come tournament time,the youth has not advanced. He had

Oscar back to back player of theYear for two years in a row.
You've had great players, but theyhave not advanced, George to this team
went five for twenty from the three. George, five for twenty. He
still scored eighty seven points and wona tough road game. That's not the

recipe. Like coach Payne said,his team shot well and still lost.
Just the opposite for Kentucky. Theyshot poorly from the three, forty five
percent from the two, seventy onepercent from the free throw line, which
is decent for a college team,but it's not great. They were twenty
for twenty eight, which means theymissed eight free throws, George. And
they were five for twenty from thethree point line twenty five percent and still

came away with a win. George. They may be this team may be
a little bit more resilient than alot of Kentucky teams. My question is
this, do you think Dillingham.You heard coach Kyle talk about it.
He didn't play well. He triesto do. He wants to make everything
a highlight instead of making the easyplay. George. Does his play start

to flatten out as he gets intothe conference or will he continue at the
level he's been playing because Dillingham hasbeen a super player. I mean,
people now know Shephard may be thebest all around player on the team,
but Dillingham is a little punch offthe bench, that off the bench that
Kentucky's needed. Does he get itgoing again Dillingham? Well, Jed,

let me say this, and youmentioned that body. But the one man
that you didn't and I noticed thisat the Louisville Kentucky game is the leader,
the leader to me and the orchestratoris Wagner. Wagner seems that everyone
seems to gravitate to him. WhenKyle tops out, he shouts out their
instructions. He's a guy that theygo to. But they you look at

your and you talked about the guard, Jerry. The thing that Kentucky is
the deep in two positions almost everywhere. Mostly all the players have high IQs
at basketball. But the one thingthat I'm gonna bring now is the Kentucky
is one of the most fortunate teamand your head coach said this a long
time ago. You win championships inthe NCAA by having great coint guard Dillingham,

Jared, let me finish. Theydon't have to worry about Dillingham.
They got Shepherd and they got Wagner. They all are point guard. Their
very few teams have three basically couldbe all American point guard at the same
position plan at the same time.They can beat you with any guard.
If you're not doing well today,Kyl has the option to move you over.
I move somebody out the point guardposition, jail. So that's what

to me makes the more dangerous.They have three point guards that are outstanding.

that separates Kentucky is when you lookat Shepherd and you look at Wagner,
you can look at the maturity thatthey played with Jeded, you can see
whether their fathers or their grandfathers haveprepared them for the moment. They played
beyond their years. But you know, I can't predict a championship with him

Jaied, because forty minutes anything canhappen. But their maturity is beyond most
young eighteen year olds. And that'sanother thing that Cal has an advantage to
him, the maturity that those youngmen bring to the game that they've been
prepared for and there beyond being freshman. George, you're right, though,
because he's got three different point guardson his roster. Shepherd very disciplined.

I would say, I like tosay lethargic, the way he plays strategic.
You've got Dillingham very explosive, Georgegot me very explosive, hard to
guard, game changer. And thenWagner has turned into the rock. He's
steadied, he's not looking for hispoints, he's not trying to outscore everyone.

He's playing team basketball. George,he's got three different point guards on
his roster. This is probably thefirst year I can legitimately say that he's
