I am Jerry Eves. Serious mattershave occurred outside of Ohollo Country Club.

We do. There's two incidents Iwant to explain to you all.
Two incidents. There was a fatalityaccident that had nothing to do with the
golf course or the players this morning, which had delayed the round at least
forty five minutes because traffic was backedup. There was a fatality that had

nothing to do with the players ofthe PGA one hundred and six plane.
Secondly, though, there's a hugeincident that Scotti Scheffler, the number one
player in the world, has beendetained and arrested outside of Valhallo Golf Course.
The reasons for that, speculations arestill unknown. I don't know.

I'm watching it as I speak rightthis minute on ESPN Television. I'm in
Chicago, Illinois at the NBA preDraft camp, but I'm watching it right
now as I speak on ESPN.They have broken into it. That's all
that has been on. I've beenlistening to Jeff Darlington, an ESPN media
announcer that was in the proximity.I don't know if he was in Scotty's

car or across the street trying toget into the course, but he has
been trying to describe what he hasseen. So I would ask for everyone
to go to it. I'm sureI'm on, but dang it, go
to ESPN and look at this becausethis is huge, breaking news. Huge.
First thing again, before I bringon Coach Beard, there was a

fatality. I want to make surethat prayers go out to that family.
The family members of that family.I do not know a name. That
had nothing to do with the playersor the PGA tournament from what I've received
off at VSPN, but we wantto make sure we say that first.

Secondly, there was a second incidentafter the road, Shelbyville Road was blocked
off. Something has happened with ScottieScheffler being detained and rested. I don't
want to add anything. My speculationswere he must have been trying to get
to the golf course. Police didn'tknow, he didn't know. He may
have bumped a police officer. I'veheard that that is incorrect, allegedly.

I know nothing. I'm doing thesame thing you all are doing, the

arrested Scottie and he dragged the policeman. He didn't drag it. What happened
was the policeman tried to detain himand he placed his body on top of
the car and Scotty kept going andthen he stopped the car and then they
got him at the car and theyimmediately put handcuffs on him. In so

right now they're in a confrontation withthat. Yes, best we know right
now, best we know what they'veshown on ESPN And Coach Beer, you
were watching it with me as theywere walking Scottie away. Players were supposed
to be able to enter they weresupposed to have been able to get through.
Something happened between the information with theirsaying Jeff Darlington again, guys,

we want to stay to the facts. Jeff Darlington is making a statement that
they were telling him that they didn'twant him to cross the street either.
He was trying to get into Valhallabecause he was media. For some reason,
the information was disseminated to the policeofficers that the players were supposed to
be able to enter. But Coachbeerd everyone knows. Shelbyville Road is two

in both directions with the fatality,one side was blocked off, Coach,
so they were using one side ofthe street, one lane going one way,
one lane going the other. Theother side was completely blocked off.
I don't know which one, Coach. I don't want to tell people something
I don't know, but this iswhat I do know. So they were
trying to have cars creeped by eachother on one side. I hope they

say that Scotty trying to cut acrosson the empty side try to enter into
a val Hollow country club and atthat time that's when the confrontation happened.
Guys, I've never seen this.I've been watching PGA Georgia and Coach Beard
since Tiger Woods emerged brought back inthe mid nineties to late newies. Okay,

I have never seen a situation likethis ever. I've never seen a
player aimed like this ever. Thisis is serious issues And from what Jeff
Darlington, ESPN announcer said Coach Beardis that they told him in the backway
from the car that Scottie Scheffler wasgoing to jail. That's what he said
on ESPN. So that's where weare. There will be another update at

job. Yesterday was seamless. ButGeorge, from what you've detained, what
do you think in your opinion?Let me tell you this, George and
Coach Beer, the players have markedAlexis. I want everybody to understand this,

right, right right. It's notlike they're driving in in cars that
the police don't know. No,the players have marked Alexis with big player
signs on the side of them towhere everyone knows. Everyone does not have
those cars. I want everybody tounderstand. They all park in a certain

the police officer being fair with everybodyshould have known that car. They were
side by side because there are bigsigns on the side. Guys, everyone
doesn't have them. They're probably probablyeighty of these cars. They all park

I said to my son yesterday,Well, these cars are gonna go
cheap when it's over, you know, like short miles. Everybody wants to
buy them, but they have allthe decals. They will take the decals
off. But there's no way thatpeople did not know who was in those

think, Jeh, I don't know. I don't know what the confrontation was
between You know, when you driveoff with a policeman on your car,

you know, that kind of tellsyou that you're not doing the right thing.
Also, I mean, I don'tknow if he thought that he had
more privilege than he did and hewasn't gonna listen to anybody and dro through.
I don't know that. I don'tknow if the officer was a local
policeman, you know, you know, because they had to get other police
to help because it was such abig event and high communication went, you
know, communications everything. He mayhave been told letting no one through because

of what was going on with thebus running over the person at the fatality,
So he had to make a decisionon do I stopt and then Scotty's
got to make a decision. Thisis a police officer telling me what to
do. Do I follow a protocoland fire the officer. I'll do what
I want to do. So there'sa lot of variables, right jas.
I don't want to say what itis, but I think that the communication

between the high command and the policeofficer was probably more of what went down.
He probably had an order for whathe had to do and he was
trying to do it, and Scottythought that he needed to get on the
golf course just to play golf.So I don't know, I'm not really
gonna say what they did exactly.Yeah, this is a different situation.
I do know that from Jeff Darlingtonand everyone that finally cut back to ESPN.

Now they're not at Valhalla at thistime, but Jeff Darlington made a
statement that when Scotty was being detainedthat the police officers had yellow rain jackets
on coach and I just want tobe fair with everybody, They've been identifiable
for four days. I'm gonna justagree with George. You knew when I

was coming in on the bus.It's completely blocked off their thousands. I
mean when I say thousands, Coach, I mean there are thousands of them.
You knew that they were police officers. So what Jeff Darlington tried to
say is that Scotty was saying thatI didn't know it was a police officer,
and George, I have to agreewith you. I'm going to make
this statement. I disagree with thatScotty knew they were police officers. That's

what had been out there, CoachBeard, for the last four days since
Monday. I went every day onthe media bus Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday. They were out there indroves. We knew where they were,
they were conjugated at certain areas,they were helping with traffic control.
That you knew who they were.So it's not an excuse when Jeff Darlington
made the statement that he did notknow it was a police officer. To

George's comment, I don't care ifit was just a bus stop controller,
you still should stop without a doubt. I'm with you on that, George,
So coach made the second question isnow we have a fatality. That's
the first and foremost. Secondly,you've got a huge event, you have

a super Bowl, you have andthis is a super Bowl. Guys,
there's many people that are coming tothis. This is a week long event.
There will be as many people,not as many watching as the Super
Bowl. Don't get me twisted youall, but for a spectator aspect,
you will have eighty five hundred orhave two hundred and fifty thousand plus.

It's a huge event. Coach,What do you think this does for
PGA making decision visions with Louisville andgoing forth? What do you think happens?

got this. There was an accidentyesterday of involving one of the PGA shuttle
buses and an suv outside the club. They had to tow both vehicles from

the scene. Now this coach,so there was one yesterday, George,
And I'm on those shuttle buses.I'd been on those shuttle buses for four
days in and out. Now there'sa different this morning. There's a fatality.
I don't know what has happened withthat yet. The information's not out
on that yet. And we haven'tarrest of the number one player in the
world, Scottie Shuffler. It isamazing. We have Xander Shoffley tye PGA

record for our sixty two and we'vebeen on guys almost thirteen fourteen minutes and
have not mentioned one thing happened duringthe tournament. Boy, what do you
think, George? Well, firstwell, first of all, Jerry,
you know, I understand why wehaven't talked about the tournament because that takes

more prestige and you know, someonelosing their life like that, you know,
that's one of the reasons we're nottalking about the tournament. But you
know, it tells me that alot of people haven't been problem in the
protocol of the police because no waythat advance should have been in the way
of the bus. And you know, they've got those roles stretched out where
you don't post to cross that,and a lot of people are trying to
do what they don't supposed to do. And I don't know what happened with

the bus this morning, but youknow, you was on the bus Jair.
They had designated lines and those driverswere following what they did and for
you to be an ordinary car andto be over what they were, you
know, the bus hritter probably didn'texpect this guy and he probably made a
move that you know, wasn't expectedout now that he belonged should have been
there. So you know, alot of times, yeah, we try

to get away with things and sowe can get by, you know,
and go fast and get to wherewe want to without doing the right things,
and things happen like that. Soyou know, I don't think that
you can really judge the bus serviceby people who were not doing the right
thing. I mean, I don'tknow what that's the right thing to say
or not, but I don't gountil that rest of it comes out.
We got to say, is itthe protocol that they used to get the

people in and out or whether thepeople on the outside doing things that they
weren't supposed to do. So youknow, until that comes out, we're

George. Let me tell you,guys, when I picked up my Meteor
credentials and they stated exactly how thingswere supposed to be handled. And they
made a statement to the public overand over. No drop offs to where

people pull up and people just jumpout of their car. They were going
to arrest you, none of thesethings. There's only one way into val
Hollow Country Club, Shelbyville Road,guys, only one, not two.
There's not a way out, There'sonly one. And they told people that

off points just like Derby to whereyou could go park your car, get

on a nice bus. We're notabout school buses. We're talking about nice

Thursday. My son and I played. Thursday, I was getting golf at

there. I'm speaking to a younglady. She says, boy, I'm
gonna have to get around this traffic. I'm gonna hate this week. I
just told her. I said,stay to the expressway, just do not
come down Shelbyville Road. Okay,George. But there were frustrations coach of

Beard the Thursday before the tournament,because they knew what the tournament brought.
But I told people on Monday,yes, there's an inconvenience, but there's
so much money and revenue brought.Not talking about what Scottie Scheffler did,

tournament does for our businesses at ourcommunities. We need these events. Louisville,

used to live I used to liveon Queen Street, and anybody knows Churchill
down know what Queen Street is.I could walk from my house straight into
the back of Churchill Down. Notonly Jay did. Whenever Churchill Down had

can imagine what it looked like livingin the back where you could walk into
church of that now getting a carjust walk on on my feet inside the
building. You can imagine what itlooked like in my neighborhood on Derby Day

get somebody gonna get your right becausethere's no way you can. You can't
leave. If you leave, youhave no where to park, and a
lot of people are parking. Saythat for the rest of the week,

there, if you want to havethem, you have to make sacrifices.
That is what I'm trying to say. If you can't have these big events
and don't make some sacrifices, thewhole city got your part take it's not
gonna work. Yes, it's George. That's a great example because in those

of Shelbyville Road, right outside ofValhallo, a tournament shuttle was reportedly involved

in an accident with an SGUV,snarling traffic and further delaying transportation for the
first year's second Major. They're talkingabout second major tournament. Now, let

people and you think that you're gonnabe able to get on the bus in

all four days. I was oneof the first people there when Blackburn,

were in the car together and wedid the exact same move that Scottie Scheffler
attempted to do, and that wasgo around traffic and turn into the golf

course. And when the security orpolice officer saw the car and the markings
on I told you on yes,just waved us through with no issues whatsoever,
have to roll our windows down oranything. Also was on the phone
with the Okay, guys, everyoneknows you all may have heard, but
they insinuated the markings on the carcoaching George, Guys, these cars,

there's no question. When you seethese cars, you know that official party
of the PGA. You know that. There's no question. So Michael Collins
is speaking right now saying that hespoke to some people. They said they
were there at five thirty, justlike most of the golfers get their early

lanes and they waved them into thegolf course. So I don't know what
happened with Scotti Scheffler. We knowit's not that he was drunk or partying,
none of those. He was comingto go to work. Guys.
He's trying to win a major.So there was a miscommunity communication that happened
for some reason. I don't knowwhat. But yes, the tournament will
start at eight thirty five. PGAwill return, so that's about o an

hour and fifteen minute delay. Idon't know that means that. I think
Scotty was supposed to have gone offin the mid eight between eight twenty and
eight thirty five with a seven tofifteen start time, So now that means
his life more ninety five. Jerry, Jerry Jery. Well, I just
want to let people know if hegets out of coach, he would be

to drive around the entrance of ourHollow Country Club golf Course, the site
of this week's PGA Championship. Thetraffic outside the golf course had been stopped

after a man was struck and killedby a shuttle bus around five am Eastern
time. According to the ESPN reporterJeff Darlington, who witnessed the incident,
Scheffler was trying to drive around thecrash scene on a median A police officer
instructed Scheffler to stop, but hecontinued to drive about ten to twenty yards
toward the entrance. At one point, an officer attached himself to the side

of Scheffler's car. Scheffler stopped hiscar as he turned into the entrance about
Hollow Golf Course about after about twentyto thirty second. Scheffler rolled down his
window to talk to the officer.The officer grabbed Scheffler's arm to pull him
out of the vehicle. According toDarlington, the officer reached inside the vehicle
to open the door, and whenScheffler was pulled out, he was pushed
against the car and placed in handcuffs. Darlington was standing at the entrance while

help. According to Darlington, theofficer instructed him to back away. You
