Come back to Eve's Sports Radio. It is made the twenty first, twenty

(00:04):
twenty four Tuesday in Loewi of area. If you did not know it,
beautiful day outside, felt like awarm summer day yesterday. So soon my
grass will be dead. It willbe brown. But right now it looks
magnificent. The neighborhood looks magnificent. So it is my yard, but that
will not last. This is Eve'sSports Radio. Phone numbers five zero two

(00:26):
one seventy nine hundred. That's fivezero two, five seven one seventy nine
hundred, and of course we've gota lot to get to today. I
have no co host today, it'sjust myself. I will be but I
do have a special guest calling it. Part owner of Sees the Gray,
Cindy green Kybe, Harrison's sister, will be calling in today at seven point

(00:48):
thirty. So we're going to talkto Cindy about the exciting race that she
was able to watch Saturday and herhorse was able to win the Preakness,
So we're going to talk to herabout that and Seize the Gray. Of
course, Dingwayne Lucas eighty eight yearsold trainer doing a fantastic job and all
the above, but we know firstand foremost, like most news around here,

(01:10):
we're still stuck and we'll be stuckon this for quite a while.
On the Scottis Shuffler Saga, wespoke yesterday Coach Beard nine, George Williams.
We talked about some of the factsand some of the things that were
not factual. So after yesterday's showmy phone I had two police officers,

(01:30):
one former one current reach out tome and wanted to set the record straight.
So I'm going to do that. But before I just get to setting
the record straight, I again wantto set for you all the stage of
the facts that happened at Valhalla lastweek at five am. Are around that

(01:52):
time, a gentleman, John Millslost his life. We understand his family
is grieving and going through a veryvery hard time. We understand that with
loss of life, all families havegone through it. My dad, my
two sisters, everyone, everyone hashad deaf in their family because we're all
gonna die. That's just the factsof the matter everyone. So we want

(02:15):
to make sure that again we sendour condolences out to mister Mills's family,
the ones that are missing him,and I would love to have him with
them, but he's not. Andthat's in the hands of God. That's
not in our hands. That isnot in our control. We had nothing
to do with that. It wasa accident. That's what set the stage.

(02:38):
Last Friday at Valhallo five pm.Police officers were called in to the
accident. As of yesterday, thebus driver has not been charged. It
was a accident. As of today, police officers were called into the scene.
Police officers arrived to the scene.Course, they do what they do.

(03:01):
My opinion, I've never rolled overon the police. I've always said
that they ninety nine percent do amagnificent job without a doubt. Our firefighters
do a magnificent job without a doubt. But again, they were called into
the scene to do their job, which they were doing the minute that there
was a fatality. This is factual, and they were called to the scene.

(03:23):
Body cam videos must be turned on, just the bylaw. You all
saw it. They put it inthe paper. They gave you the section
of the bylaw. I'm not goingto read you the fourteen point three point
six. It is a fact bodycamvideo must be turned on. That's all
there is to it. So Friday, Mayor Fisher. I want to correct

(03:44):
that. Craig Greenberg made a statementhe didn't know if if the officer had
his body cam video on or ifhe had it. But the bottom line
is he's supposed to have it.That's just the fact of the matter.
It is for the police officer's sake. Let's just get it straight. Citizens
don't tell the truth. Let mesay that again. We citizens don't always

(04:12):
tell the truth. That's all thereis to it. We know that that's
just the fact. No one wantsto say that to us. It's always
easier to name the three or fourincidents, and I mean horrific incidents.
Doctor Ricky Jones put out a video. I told him to slow his road
to all the evidence was out lastweek, but he came up with an
interesting video today and it was catchyand he named three or four incidents that

(04:35):
correct were correct some were not handledit properly. I agree with that,
But he didn't name the thousands ofincidents that were handled correctly by the police
department. You got me, Andit's so funny. I will name the
three or four or five, butwe will not name the thousands that were
done correctly. So I just wantto always give it to you all straight

(04:58):
and if it wasn't handled correctly,I'm going to to tell you. But
Ricky Jones highlighted three or four DoctorJones, great friend of mine, highlighted
three or four of them, andhis opinion that we're handled in correctly.
And in my opinion, two orthree of them were handled in correctly.
But the thousands that are handled correctlywe don't talk about. We don't ever
say anything about. Well, thebodycam video came into play you all to

(05:23):
protect the police officers, so whenthey don't turn it on, that's strike
number one and two. I'm justgonna be honest for you. For police
officers, I'm sorry that strike oneand two. That is your evidence when
the citizens aren't telling the truth andpolice officers, I understand, citizens,

(05:43):
we don't tell the truth all thetime. We just don't. But no
one's going to say that because youall are supposed to serve us, and
you're all supposed to be here forour needs and all the above and all
the idiata, but the bottom lineis we lie. So the bodycam video
came into play to protect the policeofficers. So knowing that when Detective Brian

(06:05):
Giles didn't turn his on a strikeone and two. Let's just keep this
straight. So we've got Mayor CraigGreenberg, very good friend of mine.
You've got deputy mayor used to beBarbara six and Smith, a great friend
of mine who just stepped down.So we've got David James, Nicole George
and Dana Maiton, who are nowthe three deputy mayors that helped Craig Breenberg

(06:28):
Greenberg with these situations that get thesecalls at five in the morning, at
twelve at night for these horrific thingsthat happen in life, they just happen.
And what happened again to John Millswas horrific. Let's make sure his
family would understand their grieving. Butit was an accident at this point,
and they do happen, and guyslike my dad told me, we're all

(06:49):
gonna check out. That's all thereis to it. I know it's harsh,
it's gross. A lot of peoplesay you're insensitive or not. It's
just the facts. We're all gonnadie. Fact. So when Pat Forty
will throw out, hey, whyare we talking about Scottie and the golf
game? And someone died, someonedoes die every day, and people have

(07:12):
died around sporting events, like Itold you a young man got hit by
drunken driving at Kentucky game. Notbut within the last four years. Doesn't
stop the event, guys, itdoes not. Again it seems harsh.
It's just the facts. It doesnot stop the event, period. I
don't care how much people want tomake it stop the event. It's not.

(07:36):
We watched mister Hamlin. If youall remembered war Hamlin almost died on
the field. The NFL wanted toplay the game. The players really just
said we just can't. We watchedit in living color on the field.
The NFL wanted to resume the game. There was really dialogue about, no,

(07:56):
we'll have to make this game upanother day, but they wanted to
finish the game. Guys, itis what it is. Hate me because
I'm telling you the fact. That'skind of what happens when people tell the
truth and it's not what you wantto hear. People don't like hearing it.
So bottom line is, there havebeen accidents around supporting events forever and
it has not stopped the event. So telling you that, because that is

(08:20):
the situation that people tried to putpat Ford. He put out George William
yesterday insinuated. You know, Jerry, there was a fatality. I know,
it happens all the time. Ihate to say. It just is
what it is. It doesn't stopthe event. So when people were trying
to say they were closing down VALHALLO, that's not what happened. Here's what

(08:41):
transpired. They sent out a noticeto the players yesterday. The excuse me.
They sent out a notice to theplayers Friday morning that there had been
an accident, not a fatality,a accident, and that traffic would be
bad, so leave early enough andthe police officers will help facilitate you and

(09:03):
to the facility. Do you understandme? Was the note sent from the
PGA. Not shut down Valhallow, don't let anybody in. That was not
done. That's not what happened. They sent it out to the players around
five to ten, telling them leaveearly, get to the police officer and
they will help facilitate you into thefacility. So sky Shuffler left. The

(09:26):
traffic was bad. There's only oneway into Valhall one one one street,
Shelbyville Road. Three entrances off ofShelbyville Road. One for the media and
the players, some of the agents, some of the members. One for
the public past that going up thehill to the left. If you went

(09:50):
to the event, you would knowthat, and then one for the massive
trucks that delivered the food. Therewere three entrances, but they're all off
Shelbyville Road. That's all there isto it. There's only one way there,
Shelbyville wrote. So Scottie Scheffler getsto a police officer on Shelbyville Road
and ask him again. The caris marked, no events or butts.

(10:11):
That's why the cars are marked. He gets to a police officer. The
police officer tells him to proceed easton the south Mountin lane off Shelby Vill
wrote, okay, the opposite sidefrom all the traffic that had blocked it
off, so there was no trafficcoming at sixsh in the morning. Scottie

(10:31):
proceeds on a lane where there's nocars coming, driving in the wrong directions.
Everybody's got me, but he wasinstructed to do that by a police
officer at the top of Shelbyvill Road. That's what he did. That's why
you see his lawyer, Steve Romainetelling you he followed the directions of a

(10:52):
police officer, and he did.He proceeds down the hill. The police
officer at the beginning told him rowyour window down, show your badge,
and they will help facilitate you intothe facility. The matches were not canceled
because of the fatal accident. Theyjust weren't. So a nobody told you
that is just a lie. Whoeverwants to roll that together, they're trying

(11:16):
to make a narrative that is nottrue. The matches were going to start
like always. How horrific it sounds, I know, get manageries for telling
you the truth, but it isthe truth. When he gets to the
bottom of the heel to enter Valhallohas two entrance ways. At the main
entrance. At the main entrance,I would call it the main entrance for

(11:39):
normal members. The main entrance, there's an exit entrance, and there's an
ter entrance. It's like a y. The road splits so that you can
go in. If you were goingin and coming out, your cars would
not be side by side. Butonce you drove onto the property, probably
thirty or forty yards, you stopyour car and talk to the person going

(12:01):
out, and you all could shakehands, clap hands whatever you wanted to
do. But at the entrance waythere's two. They are separated, got
me, they are separated. Scottywas informed to drive into the exit entry
and proceed to go on with hisjob. He was invited to do here

(12:22):
in Louisville. He was an invitedguest. That's all there is to it.
He was an invited guest. Whenhe gets to the bottom of the
heel for some reason, Brian, for some reason, Detective Brian Giles wanted
to tell him to get back inline, that he was not acting properly.
Well, guys, yes, here'swhere the miscommunication came. Wasn't completely

(12:46):
Detective Gills's fault. The gentleman atthe top of the hill told Scotty to
roll his window down, show uscredentials as he's going into they will help
facilitate. So Scotty's not coming toa stop. He's doing what was told
of him. He is showing hiscredentials and driving into the facility. It's
not driving fast, but he's drivinginto the facility. He did not run

(13:09):
over hit the detective up on thehood. That's not true. Fact again,
Jeff Darlington, who is walking tryingto get to the facility on time
an ESPN reporter because the traffic wasbad. He was on the media bus.
I want to just preface you all. I was on that media bus

(13:31):
every morning Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Ms Wyn Blackburn and I
were there on the bus, thefirst bus running at five o'clock. Three
days. Thursday we caught the fiveto thirty bus, but three out of
four you got me the bus.I'm going to snap back to mister Miles

(13:54):
in the accident. Guys. Iwant to tell you all if you all
remember Monday or Tuesday, I saidthat they had done a great job at
Valhallow and I got through email socialmedia long lines at the fairgrounds. People
were telling me Jerry, it's notas smooth as the fairgrounds. They are
long lines. I said, okay, but I told them as for the
aspect of the media going in themain entrance way, it was seamless.

(14:18):
It was perfect. Guys. Whenwe say the word accident, it was
an accident with mister Mules. BecauseI can't still today understand what happened.
Guys. They stopped the bus everyday for three days in a row at
five in the morning. Secondly,I want you all to understand because people
are trying to throw out it wasearly, guys. People had to be

(14:41):
at work at Valhallow at three pointthirty. They were coming in at three,
So truly, it was not early. When I was walking on that
facility, on that campus at fivepoint fifteen, five point twenty, every
light was on, every video screenwas on. Everything was on business as
usual, and it was seamless. The bus stopped, they stopped the little

(15:05):
traffic that was coming on Shelbyville Roadin the opposite direction, they would stop
it. They'd waved the bus through, they'd wave the traffic on. There
were times we got there and thetraffic was moving they would stop us.
They'd waved the traffic through. Thenthey would turn us, tell us to
turn it. I don't know howthe accident happened with mister Mules, but
it did. But I'm telling youall, it was not because of the
lack of planning. It was notI'm not going to roll over on the

(15:28):
police like that, nor the organizationbecause it was not. I don't know
how it happened, just being straightwith you all, the accident with mister
Mules, but it did. Itwas an accident so Scotty is driving by
Detective Gills. He is showing hisbadge like he was towed, his windows

(15:48):
half rolled down. At that timethe detective was wanting him to stop.
Well, Scotty wasn't thinking about stopping. He was doing what was told that
time. Altercation happened, mister gilJeff Darlington says, attached himself, exact
words, attached himself to the car. So no one knows if he was

(16:14):
trying to hold onto the door handlethe window was rolled down partially. Did
he have his hand on the window, We don't know. But Jeff Darlington,
who saw the entire incident, saidhe attached himself. These are his
words exactly. He attached himself tothe car. So four or five six
feet the officer does fall down.Scotty Scheffler stops the car in the entrance

(16:34):
way, starts to get out,and at that time Detective Giles arrests Scottie
Scheffler. That's what happened. Weheard the audio yesterday of the gentleman speaking
to Jeff Darlington when he said, dude, dude, that's not what he's

(16:55):
supposed to say. You will, period point blank. He's supposed to say
he's supposed to address the public,ma'am, are sir, sir, step
to the sidewalk, ma'am step tothe sidewalk. If they stop you,
they're supposed to say, sir,may I have your license? They're not
supposed to come to your window dooraddress you public with dude. So again,

(17:18):
guys that a police department did notact accordingly. Correctly, they did
not, It's all there is toit. In fact, that's not what
they're trained to do. They're supposedto have their body camera. That is
for their protection, not ours, because we don't tell the truth. That
is for their protection. So nowwe've got strike one in two, no

(17:41):
bodycam video. We've found out nowthat if you all remember, Craig Greenberg
said that there was a video acrossthe street, but it was a rainy
and it was dark that you couldnot see the accident has come out this
morning. So again without bodycam video, we've got what one person is saying,

(18:02):
Jeff Darlington, what Steve Romian isgoing to say, what the detective
is going to say, it's arainy night. But the people we pay,
we do pay our police officers andthey do have protocol. Jerry's has
to be on at seven oh seven. Matt, my producer, has to

(18:22):
get there at six point fifteen. He has to prepare for the show.
He's got to get their protocol thateveryone has to do at every job.
The police have to follow their protocol. It's their protocol. So now we're
at strike two and a half becausewe're addressing the media the public with Dude,
which is being played all over theworld, not the country, the
world. I'm not going to saythe gentleman's name because honestly, guys,

(18:47):
we're so bad. Our culture isso bad, our social media is so
bad. Detective Brian is getting deaththreats just being honest with you. He's
got security with you. I'm beinghonest with you all. It's a reflection
of our society. It's really bad. It's really bad. He doesn't deserve

(19:08):
that. Detective Gills does not deservethat. Do we know exactly what happened?
We still don't. And without thebody cam video, guys, I
understand our attorney general here Justin CountyAttorney General Michael Connor, who did not
want to postpone the arraignment today atnine, but the judge did until I

(19:33):
think sometime next month. But guys, again, we're trying to collect all
the data without the body cam video. You got no data. Michael Connor,
I love you, but you gotno data. And you're supposed to
have proof, that's all there isto it, and you have none.
So we've got hearsay. That's notgoing to play out well for the police
department. It's just not the detective, the officer, the traffic all officer

(20:00):
that George was talking about that's beenon for twenty four years. An officer
twenty four years. Not just youngpolice officers doing traffic. That's not true.
The gentleman that was talking had beenon the police department twenty four twenty
plush years, could be twenty threeand a half, could be twenty four.
So let's just say twenty plush years. Now I'm safe with the facts.

(20:26):
So again, I got Ricky Jonestaking potshots at the police when ninety
nine percent of the time they doa great job. I'm going to tell
you, the event was gorgeous,The facility was gorgeous, the food was
great, the hospitality was super. It was a fantastic event, and we

(20:47):
will put on a fantastic event, isn't it funny how one incident, one
incident, the perception of one incident, can put a stain on entire community,
no matter what we want to say, it can. And it has
turned on the news this morning andmy ESPN it is still showing to day.

(21:10):
It was showing last night. ScottiScheffler's arraignment has been postponed. One
incident, so hearing the facts that'ssupposed to be the dude is wrong.
I do know his name. I'mnot going to say it because I hate
to say it. I can't believethat Detective Gills is getting death threats.

(21:33):
I just can't believe we're there.I can't believe. I just can't even
believe it. When I heard it, I couldn't believe it. I said
I was going to speak on ittoday, and that's why I'm doing it.
It's not a really good reflection onus, you all, period,
not at all. We'll have tolet the trial play out before we can
say who is one hundred percent corrector not. But the two things that

(21:53):
two and a half strikes out ofthree are not sitting in the police favor.
That's all I'm saying. Your bodycan video has to be on when
you get called to active service. What does that mean? If they're just
driving in their car, they don't, thank you man, They don't have
to turn the body camera. Butthe minute they're called to a fatality,
an accident, a skirmish, theirbody cameras have to be and are supposed

(22:18):
to be initiated. That's all Iknow that our new police chief, Jacqueline
Vanderil I think are pronounced it fairlyclose, is trying to inform the police
that it's very important and imperative thatyou keep and keep turning on your body

(22:42):
camera. It is your vindication. That's all it is for the police officers,
because guys, ladies, our society, we don't tell the truth all
the time. It's all there isto it. In especially when we're in
the crosshairs. We don't ever wantto tell the truth, it seems like
anymore so, guys, we're atseven twenty nine. I just wanted to

(23:04):
clear up some of the issues thatwe have. We have got Cindy Green
owner individual owner. No that's nottrue. I'm not gonna start fibbing what
any owners have seized. The greatis on the other line, we're gonna
go to break We're gonna run twobreaks, Matt when we come back,
Cindy, We're gonna chop it upa little bit. This is Eve Sports
Radio. Phone numbers five zero two, five seven, seventy nine hundred.

(23:30):
Welcome back to Eves Sports Radio seventhirty six. Phone numbers five zero two,
five seven one seventy nine hundred. We've got the one and only,
my friend, Cindy. Welcome eSports Radio. Are you good morning,
Jerry. I'm good, blessed tobe here. Absolutely well, Cindy.

(23:51):
We haven't spoke, we voiced,we played tepphone tag, but I appreciate
your call when you heard that theweather had torn through my neighborhood. And
it had, But I was blessed, Cindy, I mean truly. I
had h and k roofing out here. The very next week, my roof
was fixed in a blink of aneye. Yes, it did blow down
two or three of my forty footpine trees. So I do have neighbors

(24:15):
now, which I used to nothave. But that's okay. I still
got good people, So I wasblessed, and so were a lot of
people. No fatalities in the neighborhood, but just a lot of damage.
But I appreciate your call. Ireally do. Well, You're very welcome.
That was a scary thing. Itwas scary. That's the first time
I've ever been truly that close.Sindy Twitter. Yeah. I saw up

(24:37):
on the first floor. I sawmy brick home breathing. I saw the
windows and doors going in and out. I did. It was crazy,
people, It was just like themovies. Until you live through it,
you just don't understand it. Andwe didn't get the tornado piece. We
just got one hundred and ten milein our winds. But the pressure that
it ends on your home, that'swhat brings the roof off. A lot

(24:57):
of people don't know, but thepressure inside your home is what brings the
roof off. I mean, Isaw my house breathe and it was crazy.
But anyway, well, I do. I told you ah and K
was the best. Here's the deal, Cindy. You know your brother that
kyby Harrison. You know, wecan't start without talking about Cobby. Cobby

(25:19):
tells me before the derby, hesays, you know, my sister Cindy's
got a horse that may be inthe derby. I said, kind of
get out of here, he says, no, I'm telling you the truth.
Jerry. I'm like, who,Cindy, Yes, Jerry, I
said, how, I'm just tellingyou. The horse is called Seize the
Gray. You wait and see. That was two or three weeks before the
Derby, before you all let madethe decision not to run in the Derby.

(25:42):
Of course we always have our shootWagoner's Restaurant, Lee Wagoner, Kyby,
Harrison Dale, Roman Foley and ofcourse mcpete, who wasn't able to
make it because he had Derby andOaks horse this year and which you want
to know, can you believe it? And he had people coming in,
so he didn't make the show. But he's always made the show. He's

(26:03):
made the show every year since westarted doing this. It's kind of ritual
now, and so is your brother. He comes, He says, Jerry,
we're not running in the Derby, but we're running in the pat Day
Mile. I'll put your money onus. Well, of course you know
across the board, oh my number. So I didn't put two dollars on
you in the pad Day Mile. But next thing I know, I'm sitting

(26:23):
there. I had just left thetrack. I went Derby Day, but
I didn't stay for all the races. I get home and I I did.
I'm like, seize the gray.So I reach out to your brother,
copy, I told you, Isaid, no way. So tell

(26:44):
us how did you get into beinga part owner, Why did you put
your money into it? Why didyou want to get in the horse business?
Just tell me what happened? OhJerry, you know, I don't
know if you know. I wasraised in horse racing. You know,
our father was a Louisville police detectiveand it was his passion. So he

(27:11):
served our city for thirty years. And I was a worker bean and so
when he was off to work, horses would rotate in and out of our
barn. And there was this smallfix year old that would meet the van

(27:32):
to driveway and receive the horse. And I had specific instructions of what to
do for that day. So thegood news about that is I didn't have
time to get into trouble or eventhink about getting into trouble in addition to
ordinary activities. But you know,so it started there so back, far

(28:00):
back that my mother would throw ablanket and I would take naps in a
tig room at a little place inthe West End called Miles Park. And
so that that's you know, whenI say it's in my blood, it's
in my blood in that that's howlong and I'm old, that's how long.

(28:22):
You know, I had been involvedin horse racing. So I was
blessed to be able to do thiswith my with my father, and because
of his obligations, I was moreengaged than someone might be, because he
was busy. And then as Igot older, you know, we'd put

(28:49):
a horse in my name, andkeep in mind, we had cheap claimers
and we would race and river downsTurfway Park. It was a much simpler
game then and the big circuits hadnot come to town. And I can

(29:11):
tell you about the thoughts of allthat, but it was it was a
simple game. And daddy daughter outfitswere you know, quite quite normal father's
son. And it was a sweatequity game. And so we did that
and we were blessed, and wehad our pictures made a lot of times.

(29:33):
And so this this girl got toexperience you know, the good,
the bad, and the ugly. And there is, yes, there is
the good, the bad, andthe ugly. And so I lost a
horse on the track up in Turfwaywhen the surface changed and they had,

(29:57):
you know, quite a bit ofproblems up there, and that was devastating,
and I thought, I'll never haveanything to do with this again.
And then my father's health started tofail, and after I lost him,

(30:17):
I knew that kind of I wouldnever experience any of this stuff again.
I ride horses, but I wouldn'texperience the business of it. Okay,
So I kept I kept seeing myracehorse and what my racehorse was doing,
and I thought, well, therehas to be some hidden language here,

(30:38):
because it's expensive. It's an expensivegame. And we were we were we
were the daughter dad, and becausewe were doing it ourselves is the only
way that we could stay alive inthe game. And it was for the
love of the game. And soI see that this little organization is taken

(31:03):
off and it's grown to be somethingphenomenal, and it's my racehorse, and
Michael Barons is the CEO. Andso I said, well, you know,
I quit I need to quit beingnegative, and I think I would
like to invest in a couple ofshares and see how this goes. And

(31:25):
at times people are you're listening toCindy Green, part owner of Sees the
Great, who just won the Preaknesson hundred and forty nighth running of the
Preakness, and she's talking about herexperience getting in the horse business. Go
ahead to me. A lot ofpeople come in at midpoint they don't know,
so I wanted to, oh,sure, go ahead. Sure.
So so a purchase of a coupleof shares, which these are called micro

(31:48):
shares, and you get in andyou get into the game. And there
were several horses offered, and youknow, I kept coming back to this
one, coming back to this one. He is a son of Arrogant.
He's the gray and I couldn't deny, you know, his breeding. And

(32:08):
I'll be honest, he was kindof an awkward looking real cold, I
mean impressive, but I called hima horse of a different color because he
didn't stand out at you as beingyou know, I'm this big, bold,
beautiful gray horse. I've always been. I've always liked the horse that

(32:30):
looked like Secretariat. So here Iwas staring down the horse that's of a
different color, kind of looking gray, and all dabbled and everything, and
so the journey began. And ithas been a thrilling, joy fulfilling for

(32:52):
me experience. And I hope itcontinues. I now have four different horses,
uh with shares in each. Butthe experience with These the Gray has
been one that has been magical forso many people. So many people.
I've met wonderful people. The organization. They have events when they race at

(33:20):
these degraded races and Triple Crown races. They have lotteries for folks to get
as many people as they can intoa paddock or a winner's circle. So,
so you've met Dewayne Lucas, You'vemet Dewayne Lucas. I have not.

(33:42):
I have not talked with him.I've met him in my life.
I have not talked with him duringthis to say hey, do you remember
me. I'm I'm in I'm inyour group. But I have met These
the Gray and had to have myhands on him. And he has a
big heart. He is very sensibleand he is a cool cucumber. I

(34:06):
tell you he doesn't let much rattlehim. And he has a tenacity to
take care of business. That's afact. We watched him go wire to
wire Saturday, Cindy Word seven fortysix. And we're going to get to
break pay these bills when we comeback We've got Cindy Green, owner of
Seize the Gray, sister of theone and only famous Kybe Harrison. Everyone

(34:29):
knows your brother, as you wellknow. And this is Eves Sports Radio.
We'll talk to you in a second. Welcome back to Eves Sports Radio
seven point fifty. I'm just sittinghere watching ESPN talking to a wonderful lady,
Cindy Green, part owner of Seizethe Gray, one hundred and forty
ninth Winter the Preakness Saturday, wiredto wire. Now, Cindy, look,

(34:51):
I've got to tell you, I'vegot a beef with you. Cindy,
I got a beef with him. Here's my beef. Okay, everyone
there said Tuesday. Last Tuesday,Ken mcpete went to the PGA with me.
He met me out off the EmbassySuites off of Hirshbourne Lane at five
in the morning. Like I toldpeople at the beginning of the show,

(35:12):
he got on the bus with MissGwyn and I. He went into the
facility with us. He did theshow live with me at the PGA headquarters
in the media center. We walkedaround all on the campus of Alhallo and
people were running up to him lookingat him, going what are you doing
here? Your horse is gone?He says, I'm leaving tomorrow, and
he told everyone. Ken usually doesnot. He told everyone. He says,

(35:37):
I'm winning this also, So Isaid, Ken, I know you're
winning it because your horse is comingout of the five slot, and everybody
knows. My number is number five, and I bet two dollars across the
board a number five six bucks. It's a big wager. Said, here's
my problem with you. So,Cindy, you beat me, You beat

(35:57):
me, So mystic dame is thisyou did wire to wire. But again,
people don't Misty Dan was trying. He mister Dan tried you. Misty
Dan. Pete's correct. He's gota nice horse. He plays four dollars
and twenty cent for place, andtwo dollars and eighty cent for show.

(36:19):
I made a six dollar wager andwon a dollar. Sidney, if I
don't win that race, I mayhave won five, six seven dollars.
Now I need you to make upthe difference. Cindy, Oh my goodness.
Yeah, well you gotta wait threeweeks this time. You're a little
late for that game. The lastcouple of weeks have been great for She's

(36:43):
a great fan you're right. Imean, you win the Pat Daymile,
which was phenomenal. I'm like, okay, so I want everyone to know
that you all raced Derby Day andcame back two weeks later got the job
done. I haven't heard are youall going to run in the Bellmont this
year? It's shortened. It's stilla three week period, but it's not
as long or you are running, you know. I think I think he's

(37:09):
more than ready. And as Lucassays, he likes to say race ready,
they are race ready. He ismuscled up. He came out of
the race on Sunday. The reportwe received said that he was full of
himself and we are just you know, he was drawing off at the end

(37:37):
and Kenny McPeak made a quote aboutthat and he said, we thought we
would run him down, and thenwe were at the finish line and they
were still trying to run him down. So so far, he has been
he's not had any issues. He'sstaying healthy, he loves to train,

(37:58):
he's a joy to handle. Nobody'shaving any bit of problem with him.
You know, we have some badactors in the game that can't handle the
pressure and things like that, butI never thought it would take me on
this kind of a journey, andit is emotional and it's it's just tremendous.

(38:22):
And if you are my friends orfamily, you are enduring so many
stories. And every time I walkinto a room, people look at me
like we're gonna be talking about horses, aren't we. So so it wasn't
my grand it wasn't my granddaughter, and it still is. But you know,

(38:44):
we had to take a pause becausethis horse is soaring so much and
bringing so much joy to so manypeople. And for a girl who was
taking naps in a tack room ona bill of hay to be experiencing this
in the smallest part, I'm verygrateful to this organization because I would just

(39:07):
be sitting back and feeling like somethingwas missing while I was at the races,
and I now saw a part ofit, and it's it's tremendous.
It's been a wonderful ride. Andyou know, you may have to come
to the Freakness with me, andwe chat again, not the Preakness,
Belmont, and we chat again sothat I can say this horse is gonna

(39:31):
win the Belmont. Well, Sidney, I'm going to get you back on.
I'm going to give you the opportunitybecause it's June the eighth. We
know it's Saratoga Racecourse. They're redoingthe Belmont, but that's fine for the
next two years. But Cindy,I appreciate you coming on. Cindy Green,
part owner of Caesar Great trained byeighty eight years old d Wayne Lucas.

(39:53):
Congratulations to Caves. I'll see yourbrother at the golf outing June the
tenth. He's always on Lee Wagner'steam. Of course, Kyby doesn't play
anymore, but we get him acart and he rides around and he watches.
We yeah play, What a greatevent. Oh yes, we've had
some fantastic event. I'm not goingto kid you. My sponsors are the

(40:15):
best, Cindy. We started tenyears ago and one hundred dollars a team
at per Simmon Ridge, and Ithink we had fourteen teams, and this
year, because I can only haveone flight, Big Springs would not let
me have two. I've got twentysix teams, Cindy, and we're at
eighteen hundred dollars a team, andthe sponsors have been giving me more,

(40:36):
so I appreciate it. Cindy,we've got about thirty seconds. I'll go
get you on in two weeks,Cindy, I'll reach out to you Jokyby.
I said hello, y hey, everybody, take care and have a
good rest of the week. EaveswortsRadio will talk to you all tomorrow.
