be hard to figure out the percentage what percentage of

all ever been scammed for at least one thousand dollars.

talked about on the show that one guy that tried
to get me to pay because I missed for jury duty.
I think that was like four hundred dollars.

That was he scared me. I mean that one really
kind of scared me until he want me to pay
over the immediately, Like wait a minute.

I do think ultimately it's mostly really older people that
that happens to.

No, And I get like three voicemails a day from
spam I don't answer my phone and a barely check email.
So they're trying, but I feel like I'm it's gonna
be hard to penetrate this wall. I'm not paying attention
to any of that stuff. There could be real concerns
people trying to reach me and ignore them, Shannon.

Not that I'm aware of, unless they just took it
out of my bank account and I didn't know about it.

What It depends on what your definition of scam is.
But lost money in a pretty big thing, that would
be what I have. But that was I know it
wasn't a scam, but I had I had something go
wrong that was a significant amount of money.

It's very frustrating.

I've allowed somebody to borrow money and they never paid
me back.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
It's more of a yeah, that's what I would say.
Mine was more like a swindle. I don't think it
was a scam, and I think borrowing money is a
different is different situation. But but you know, I invested in
something that was the person.

The person ended up being a complete and ended up
going to prison.

It seems pretty serious.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Yeah, So that was that was frustrating. One of those days.

One day I'll tell that story because it's a pretty
fascinating story. But but yeah, not a scam, but sixty
percent was a number that absolutely shocked me. Ryan, And
it also tells you how we have to be very
careful to protect especially our parents, like our parents and
older folks, because it is amazing how successful it looks
like people are doing.

AI also is going to be a problem in the future,
you know, people not knowing what's real and what's not.

I mean, you can have that happen if you're not careful.

Sometimes I'll see something that's like UPS, please put in
your information.

This package is blah blah blah.

And if you hit reply, you'll realize, oh, that's not
a UPS email address.

You know. That's like uh.

But like if you first see it, you go, well,
I need my package, so if, of course I should do.

That's the most important thing you can do is look
at the at after the email.

A lot of times it's gibberious.

But it'll say twitter at blah blah blah, Like just
make sure it's a real dot com.

Yeah, we get a lot of these as realtors. They
try to say we need to pay something for our
training and licenses and stuff, and like I Drew said,
you just punch them who sent it to you and
it's at a Gmail address or something like that, you know, or.

There'll be one letter difference. The thing you do have
to be uh, you have to be careful.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
Also if someone's ever trying to collect and they want
your info, say well, I follow you, you give me
my info. What's my because they should know it if
it's a real Yeah.

I came very close on that once, had someone call
with the I R S and they were like, you
owe X amount of money and I was like, well,
it's conceivable I could owe X amount of money, but
they but then I was reminded, the IRS will never
ask you for anything on the phone. That's that's something
if you the IRS. Good tip for everyone. The IRS
will never ask you for something on the phone. They

will do it and they want never ask for a
payment on the phone. And actually they probably will never
call you, but they certainly will not ask you for payment.

I really struggle with Johnson and Aberdeen because from afar
they look like from when they're dribbling it up and
you only see their back. One of them's number one,
one of them's number two. They have the same hair,
They're close to the same side. I really struggled drud

like Stoops, and when Bowley took over, it's something completely

time in my life that Vanderbilt will be in the
conversation for the college football playoffs. True. So yeah, if
they're gonna do it, this is the year they're gonna
do it. They're not gonna see Kentucky as a trap game.

There's been many games with Kentucky Tennessee Kentucky Vanderbilt game
down there in Tennessee where they are sixty percent Kentucky pans.

Charleston Southern. So I mean, even these little teams they're playing,
they're selling out there.

we have literally I think five of our eleven starters
out are the back I mean, we talked about the
secondary was gonna be hurt, but they've actually hung in
there pretty well a lot of these young guys. Is
tomorrow the day where you really start to see that
defensive issue.

I'm very worried about it. I mean, the guys have
stepped up and played great, but they're just short on bodies.
I mean, they're missing so many cornerbacks. I'm really watching
Alex Safari. He hasn't been downgraded to I think he

and say a very good source to Alexa Fari who
told us yesterday he's played well.

kind being the quarterback of the defense, he's the best
defensive player outside of anyone on the defensive line who's
been good. If he plays, that gives me more confidence.
If he's out with five cornerbacks out, I really worry
about what Pavia can do.

which I think would would help quite a bit.

that actually does sort of suggest to me that maybe
somebody don't know NBA scouts whoever, maybe say that he
does need to prove that he can hang out on
the wing and be a true shooter, and so maybe he's.

There are only four of us, so it's going to
be hard to figure out the percentage what percentage of
people who on this show have any have any you
all ever been scammed for at least one thousand dollars.

Good by a timeshare. That's thousands of dollars.

it's like I was given a scam.

No, not a thousand dollars. I mean we went we
talked about on the show that one guy that tried
to get me to pay because I missed for jury duty.
I think that was like four hundred dollars.

You came close on that one.

That was he scared me. I mean that one really
kind of scared me until he want me to pay
over the immediately, Like wait a minute.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
I do think ultimately it's mostly really older people that
that happens to.

What about you?

No, And I get like three voicemails a day from
spam I don't answer my phone and a barely check email.
So they're trying, but I feel like I'm it's gonna
be hard to penetrate this wall. I'm not paying attention
to any of that stuff. There could be real concerns
people trying to reach me and ignore them, Shannon.

Not that I'm aware of, unless they just took it
out of my bank account and I didn't know about it.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
What It depends on what your definition of scam is.
But lost money in a pretty big thing, that would
be what I have. But that was I know it
wasn't a scam, but I had I had something go
wrong that was a significant amount of money.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
It's very frustrating.

I've allowed somebody to borrow money and they never paid
me back.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
It's more of a yeah, that's what I would say.
Mine was more like a swindle. I don't think it
was a scam, and I think borrowing money is a
different is different situation. But but you know, I invested in
something that was the person.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
The person ended up being a complete and ended up
going to prison.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
It seems pretty serious.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Yeah, So that was that was frustrating. One of those days.
Speaker 6 (05:16):
One day I'll tell that story because it's a pretty
fascinating story. But but yeah, not a scam, but sixty
percent was a number that absolutely shocked me. Ryan, And
it also tells you how we have to be very
careful to protect especially our parents, like our parents and
older folks, because it is amazing how successful it looks
like people are doing.

AI also is going to be a problem in the future,
you know, people not knowing what's real and what's not.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
I mean, you can have that happen if you're not careful.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
Sometimes I'll see something that's like UPS, please put in
your information.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
This package is blah blah blah.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
And if you hit reply, you'll realize, oh, that's not
a UPS email address.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
You know. That's like uh.
Speaker 6 (05:56):
But like if you first see it, you go, well,
I need my package, so if, of course I should do.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
That's the most important thing you can do is look
at the at after the email.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
A lot of times it's gibberious.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
But it'll say twitter at blah blah blah, Like just
make sure it's a real dot com.
Speaker 8 (06:10):
Yeah, we get a lot of these as realtors. They
try to say we need to pay something for our
training and licenses and stuff, and like I Drew said,
you just punch them who sent it to you and
it's at a Gmail address or something like that, you know, or.
Speaker 6 (06:21):
There'll be one letter difference. The thing you do have
to be uh, you have to be careful.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
Also if someone's ever trying to collect and they want
your info, say well, I follow you, you give me
my info. What's my because they should know it if
it's a real Yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:33):
I came very close on that once, had someone call
with the I R S and they were like, you
owe X amount of money and I was like, well,
it's conceivable I could owe X amount of money, but
they but then I was reminded, the IRS will never
ask you for anything on the phone. That's that's something
if you the IRS. Good tip for everyone. The IRS
will never ask you for something on the phone. They

will do it and they want never ask for a
payment on the phone. And actually they probably will never
call you, but they certainly will not ask you for payment.

So that's always something.

I did get an email from the Nigerian Prince one time.

I thought those are usually those are usually easier to
figure out. Ryan high School Football Elite eight this weekend,
there are some massive matchups across the state. I think

is in between his ears he's having trouble with. He's

I really struggle with Johnson and Aberdeen because from afar
they look like from when they're dribbling it up and
you only see their back. One of them's number one,
one of them's number two. They have the same hair,
They're close to the same side. I really struggled drud

Cam Williams and Aberdeen can kind of look the same too.
Always sometimes it's not just a scoring or his hair.
I think on defense he has like concrete in his shoes,

of that video. But always feet are glued to the
floor and he could have helped out and did not.
So it's an effort, not just that the offense isn't

it on the sideline. These guys like each other, they're
like Stoops, and when Bowley took over, it's something completely

There's been many games with Kentucky Tennessee Kentucky Vanderbilt game
down there in Tennessee where they are sixty percent Kentucky pans.

Dandy has been the fans have been showing up. They
just sold out like a game earlier this year against
Charleston Southern. So I mean, even these little teams they're playing,
they're selling out there.

We have a lot of guys out on defense. They
just announced now DJ Waller is out two. I mean
we have literally I think five of our eleven starters
out are the back I mean, we talked about the
secondary was gonna be hurt, but they've actually hung in
there pretty well a lot of these young guys. Is
tomorrow the day where you really start to see that
defensive issue.

I'm very worried about it. I mean, the guys have
stepped up and played great, but they're just short on bodies.
I mean, they're missing so many cornerbacks. I'm really watching

defensive player outside of anyone on the defensive line who's
been good. If he plays, that gives me more confidence.
If he's out with five cornerbacks out, I really worry
about what Pavia can do.

which I think would would help quite a bit.

does need to prove that he can hang out on
