Welcome to our two of Kentucky Sports Radio present it
by Stockton Mortgage. Now here's Matt Jones.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Welcome Back Tucky Sports Radio text machine is full of
people trying to figure out what Liam sounds like. One
person writes, I think Liam sounds like mister Burns from
The Simpsons does Actually, that's actually not a bad You
can see it right, Yeah, I can see that. One
(01:29):
person goes, if Shannon does not keep the duvall as
a drop, I'm gonna be mad at him. You'll do
that for buddy, Won't.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
You sure we really play the drops anymore? It's kind
of a thing of that.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Well, it's because I don't know. Are you keeping them
as we go anymore? All I'm still oh, I've got
them all right?
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Well, one day we'll do it where we play a
bunch of them, one rights. One person writes, Matt Liam
sounds like you the day you were on Ambient on
the show.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
That's a good call.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah, yeah, Why don't we ever play that one in
the best of When we have a holiday?
Speaker 6 (01:58):
We need to play that one again?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Did we do that at one time?
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Or no? Have you ever played it as the best I.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Don't know what. Usually we asked you and you wouldn't say, yeah,
play the one.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
I would We'll pick one. I don't know when's when
the next holiday is.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
It's coming up in a couple of weeks. President's Day,
Donald Trump Day. We're taking off right, Oh gosh, I
should take it off to Mourning.
Speaker 7 (02:21):
Are you still one to go to mar Alago that day?
Speaker 6 (02:23):
Matt?
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah, I'm not good. I'm off. You know. I got
my flag, I bought my watch, my sneakers. I don't
know what else you want me to do. I saw
that he's apparently trying to look to add himself to
Mount Rushmore, but they don't have enough mountain space. Have
you seen?
Speaker 6 (02:37):
Are you kidding? He'll put a rock up.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Joe, I'm not kidding. Yeah, apparently like there's there there
he wants to, but they don't have enough space, so
they they they there's a congressman trying to get him
to rename Dulles Airport in d C for him. I
can't want to think about it.
Speaker 7 (02:57):
You put his head on the Statue of Liberty, you
put him everywhere.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
I mean, listen, let's let's just all get a tattoo.
While we're at eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Let's
talk about the basketball games last night? All right, Let's
start with did anyone stay up? And watch Arizona Iowa State.
But me, nope, negative, No, I knew it. I'd be new.
I'd be the only one. Uh, because it didn't start
till ten thirty. Arizona hits a shot. Did you see
(03:22):
the shot through sixty shot at the buzzer to go
to overtime. Yeah, Fran Frachelle who I like Fran Fracilla,
But Ryan he couldn't have had a worse time announcing
they're about to inbound the ball, and he goes, they
need to throw it all the way down the court.
Then they inbound it short to Caleb Love and Forrascilla
goes too short, no way, and then he makes the shot,
(03:44):
so you oops, sorry Frian Iowa State a backbrank. I mean,
you can't expect a guy to hit a sixty footer.
Normally you'd foul right there. But I have to tell
you you probably would rather shoot a sixty footer yeah
than foul. And Ryan he makes it. I mean, what
are you gonna do at that point? But what an
amazing shot. And then they win, I mean in overtime.
(04:04):
Once he made that shot, you knew they were gonna win.
They end up winning it overtime.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, You can't tell your guy to foul somebody sixty
feet away from the basket.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Let him.
Speaker 6 (04:12):
You can't have that shot all day.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Yeah, it just happens. He made it, that's gotta be.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
It was late at night, Drew, so I don't know
how many people got to see it, but that's gotta
be one of the greatest endings of all time in
college basketball front. I mean, I was States ranked second
in the country. For a major team to lose on
a shot like that, I mean that, how many times
does that happen in history? Can't be many.
Speaker 7 (04:35):
I can't remember many. In the scenario off, you're Iowa State,
you know you're having this great year, You're at the
free throw line with three seconds and you're up by two.
There's just not a scenario in your head you're thinking
you walk out of there with a loss and makes one.
And then cayleb Bluff. I guess I should apologize to
Ziggler for the jokes about being in college for a
long time. Cayleb Bluff has really been in college for forever. Really,
I mean a heck of an ending for Arizona.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
There insane, insane in the place goes crazy. I mean,
Shannon being at that game would have been like, what
could be better than your team at home against the
number two rate team in America hitting a sixty foot
shot to go to overtime and then winning? Like what
could be better than?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
No, that doesn't get any better than that? Did the
students storm the court after that?
Speaker 4 (05:18):
No, because it was still overtime, they still had to
play arts if they had won the game, though I
bet they would have. I mean, but they but they
weren't able to do all right. So then the first game,
though Duke in c State drew.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
That had to be one of.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
The craziest games of all time just in terms of,
like everything else going on. You had a dude in
the middle of play just vomit on the court. Yes, that.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
Wasn't like a little baby spit up.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
That was a whole It was.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
In the middle of the play. Then after the game
they said he drank too much gatorade? Do you buy
that explanation? Can you drink so much gatorade that you
just project I'll vomit just a few minutes later? I
don't know. I mean, I'm not a doctor who is
plausible a bunch of but is it plausible that you
(06:10):
can just throw up gatorade in the middle of a thing.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
I believe it. In the second I saw him do it,
I said, that's gatorade, because that is not unnatural. It
was bright greenness, hit, it was lime, it was lemon lime, gatorade.
It looked like gatorade coming out of his body. So
I think I will believe it.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
And ESPN not only showed it, they then showed the
replay in slow mo like it was like, we want
you to.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
See this, dude, snack words cam. We could just do it.
Speaker 7 (06:38):
I can make that happen.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
So that was bad. That was bad. But just like
a minute later, a girl.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
In the student section, I guess passed out. Now apparently
she's okay, all right, so that's good. But she passed out.
And you know, if you've ever seen the Duke student section,
it goes all the way down the court, so if
you're in the middle of it, you're stuck. You can't
really get out. So they had to get her out
of it. They had to carry her on the court
(07:08):
to then carry her off. Two things struck me about it.
Right Number one, they carried her like a bag of potatoes,
like they didn't bring out a stretcher. They carried her
by her shoulders and her knees where she was just
like saggy. But secondly, I shouldn't know that because they
shouldn't have shown that girl on television, right, like they
(07:30):
Why did they show it on TV? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (07:33):
That was one of the most awkward medical maneuvers I've
ever seen. Like, if that was my daughter and I
saw that had I'd be really upset that they kind
of handled her and treated her that way. But you
brought the good point. Why show it anyway? You don't
show stuff like that on TV.
Speaker 8 (07:47):
I would you show them carrying a random college girl
out of the student section and they kept the camera
on her like they kept it on her?
Speaker 6 (07:59):
Yeah, and she cut away?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Man, you got don't you have to cut away at that?
Speaker 3 (08:05):
I mean, like in a baseball game, if somebody, like
a fan jumps on the field, they don't even show that.
So why would you show somebody having a medical issue
on TV?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
And I'm with you if that was my daughter or
sister and they carried her out, I mean I guess
you maybe you have to, But like, is there not
a stretcher, Drew? Is there not? I mean, I just
I felt like they were carrying her literally, like you
were carrying a bag of laundry out of there.
Speaker 7 (08:30):
And she looked like one of those CPR dolls, just
all her limbs, And you're right about following her. They
like kind of tightened the shot as they got her
out of the crowd and followed it all the way
to the tunnel entrance till she disappeared.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
I couldn't believe they followed her. I mean, even if
she was a player, I don't think you should follow
her like that.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
It was like when Hulk Hogan was named Miss Elizabeth
out and Saturday Nights ma an event, they followed her
all the way back to the Flucker.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
Okay, but miss Elizabeth was part of the I mean,
you just go randomly to a game. I don't feel
like you asked to be on national television if you
have a medical incident. Yeah, I mean, I I just
I found it really in poor taste to keep that
camera on that poor girl. Apparently she's okay, Like she
(09:16):
apparently went home on her own, so that's good.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
What what if she wasn't and they just showed that
whole thing, that whole scenario way to be awful.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
It would be awful, and and it's bad enough when
it's a player, but when it's just someone in the stands.
I just thought that was a really really poor look
by the by the whoever was the director or whoever
was doing strange Yeah, two really strange things and games
back to back, guys just puking everywhere like it was.
(09:45):
That was one of the weirder broadcasts you'll you'll ever see.
Who's up next?
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Steve, Steve, go ahead.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Steve.
Speaker 9 (09:52):
Hey Man, are you hosting the post?
Speaker 10 (09:54):
Showed it on?
Speaker 4 (09:56):
If it If we win, I'm gonna be on for
a little bit, but I can't be on the whole time,
so it's gonna be a Ryan and Billy special if
we lose. If we win, I'll be on for some
of it.
Speaker 9 (10:08):
Okay, I think that Martin Butler's injury is very serious.
I mean he can take time off and rest it
and then come right back and injured in the very
next game. I'm really concerned about Tonight's game and and
the rest of the season too. I mean, shoulders nothing,
(10:29):
you know, nothing to play with, and I really hope
what Mont Butler does well and Andrew Carr does well
and the other back at point guard was Increasa. I
hope he does well to Let's just hope Fake Shine's
on Kentucky tonight. Okay, that's what I want to.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
I like it. I like it the call. I like it.
Speaker 9 (10:56):
Thank you so much, sir.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Appreciate appreciate the call.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
I mean, you know, we started the show by going,
would you take nine to nine for the SEC play?
I think I would, Ryan, because I just want to
get this group to march be in the tournament.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
I feel like when we're in the tournament.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Especially if we could have a top eight, you know,
as long as we could get a top seven seed,
I like our chances in all of this. But we
just got to get to that part. And there's so
many difficult games and there are no easy breaks that
it just makes me a little concerned.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, and the unknown factor of how long Butler's gonna
be out, how long is car gonna be battling this
back injury. If you're telling me I got a chance
to still go nine to nine, twenty wins, get that
six seven seed in the tournament, I'm taking it.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Would you have ever believed we'd be at a point
where we'd be like let's please go five hundred in
the sec and not be furious.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
But I really think this is a very unique year.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
I agree, and we gotta win Saturday. I mean, I
don't want to bring up Saturday a lot un till tomorrow.
But the thought of like, uh, Wagner coming in here,
like I felt good Drew about Lamont Butler if he guarded.
But if we don't have him, Wagner and John L. Davis,
there's a world where they could get off. You know. Oh,
(12:13):
I know.
Speaker 7 (12:13):
And if you don't win tonight, that could be an
staring down zero to four. If you don't win that game,
it's an uncomfortable situation looking ahead to that. I I
wish Mark Pope would just come out, this would never happen.
But I wish you'd say, hey, everyone completely just icing
them down, because I think winning at Arkansas's more or
beating Arkansas is more important tonight. I know we can't
say that, but I wish they would give me a
(12:33):
little comfort moving towards the end of the week. If
that was the game plan the.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
Crowd, we will need that crowd, say, if you got
tickets that game Saturday night, you need to get yourself
ready to be loud because we're all needed. Who's next? Frank, Frank?
How are you? Frank? Good? How you doing that good?
Speaker 9 (12:53):
We just wondered, I was ordered if you. Dan Docketts
said a couple on his podcast, and I.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Did you talk about where he said we were unhinged
or something the fans in media UK? Yeah, I mean
he's he said we were unhinged and bordering on and
becoming irrelevant, which, as I said, was perfect from him
because it actually describes him more than it does anyone else.
Unhinged and becoming irrelevant, So you know, it is. Look,
(13:28):
what I've learned over the years is that when people
are fading into obscurity, they yelled to the heavens to
try to get someone to pay attention to them. And
that's exactly what Dockage has done, you know, with Seth
since on ESPN. So while his stuff frustrates me, what
he says still matters because he's on the biggest network,
(13:49):
he's on the games. What Dan says ultimately is irrelevant.
And there's never been anybody whose career has fallen off
like his self inflicted because in as an in game announcer,
In my opinion, he's as good as anybody that did it.
And because he because he was so unbearable to be around,
and because he said such crazy things, not just on
(14:11):
the air, but off the air, he ended up ruining
what would have been I think something he was really
good at. I agree.
Speaker 10 (14:19):
He also got kind of personal too, and we were done.
Speaker 11 (14:23):
You were dumb.
Speaker 9 (14:24):
He didn't know nothing about basketball, and Kentucky fans didn't either.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
But I didn't know he said he said something about
me personally. I didn't hear that.
Speaker 11 (14:33):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, he didn't know nothing about basketball.
Speaker 5 (14:37):
But see, that's a perfect example.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
He said that days ago, and not one person has
told me that until you, which says to me that
nobody listens to what he said. So I appreciate the call.
You know, it's the way it goes. Remember a few
years ago, Shannon, when he said that he like asked
me to fight at a game, and I wouldn't remember that. Yeah,
he just completely made that up.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
You've almost gone into a couple of fights, but I
did not me. I'm people challenging you tho fights.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Yeah, I'm I'm going to fight at Repperina with a
sixty year old man. Hey man would Yeah, let's fight here, right,
Let's let's fight here right in front of these old
ladies in the front row. Dan sure, come on one time.
Speaker 6 (15:22):
He's ready to take on Larry Vault one time.
Speaker 7 (15:24):
Remember that, And I know that I would pay for that.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
I would pay for Dockets versus Larry Vault with John
Wong as the guest referee.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Bucket true.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
I mean I'm in for that.
Speaker 7 (15:35):
It's been almost ten years and I haven't forgotten him
going at Oscar Combs. I was ready to go find
Dan docketson Innapolises. Oscar Combs.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
Who goes at Oscar Combs. I mean, what a god,
what an absolute good? And I remember his There was
a time anytime you say thing to me, go well
my wife is hot, I was like stop really that
your come back is that you know, well, you know
what I would have said, I go to Don Franklin
for the best deals. Don frank that he would be
(16:04):
on fire. They treat me like family. They give me
the best prices. Twenty seven locations around the state. We've
been to almost all of them. Everywhere we go, people
are nice, great selection. Uh. They had so many cars.
The one we went to and lext thing we didn't
even even have anywhere to park. Go to Don Franklin
Auto dot com to find your new or used vehicle
with Don Franklin. We'll take a break right back to KASR.
(16:30):
Welcome back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio eighty five nine
two twenty two eighty seven. You know, Shannon, I would like, actually,
you know what, I'm not going to go into it.
I don't need more people writing on the text machine?
Do you know the.
Speaker 5 (16:50):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
I don't understand the people who the moment a certain
politician they likes name is mentioned negatively, they freak out, like,
do you we all need someone Shannon who rides for
people like some of these folks do for It's like
it's like they want him to be King Shannon.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Oh yeah, I know a lot of people probably do
and don't even know him personally.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Like I really liked Obama, like really liked him. I
thought he was a good president, seemed like a good dude.
But there's never a moment in my life that I
would have written a stranger to be like, hey, you
need to like him?
Speaker 5 (17:34):
Put put Like, why.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Would anyone want to do that for someone they'll never meet? Right?
I don't get it. I mean, if it was if
it was Mark Pope, that's different shit. But a politician,
I just don't get it.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
You can go up like take a picture, you know,
hold your baby.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
Like like like Craig Greenberg is my friend, but I'm
not going to get in a fight with someone over
Craig as much as I like, because like life's too short.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Right, Indeed, I might fight for Craig.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
Like you would fight with a stranger, like you would
like get into a like you would write a stranger
and be like you're the worst. Because they said something
about it, and I love Crow, not not really exactly
say you wouldn't do that for me.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
That's true. You're right, he is a liberal taking liberal
taking liberal.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Tell him about it if I'm eighty seven. You know,
we talked the other day Drew about that whole Bill
Burr Billy Corgan thing in the video, and you guys
all watched it, like, yeah, you said, I still am
shocked that didn't become a bigger story. You know, there
(18:48):
have been people who suggested they thought it might be fake,
But I've looked everywhere on the internet and I have
not seen that it's fake. I've seen people writing that
it was real. I've seen people going I think it's real,
but I don't really know. But I haven't seen anybody
like proved that it's fake. But what I can't believe, Drew,
is I'm really surprised it didn't become a bigger story
(19:09):
because it was so bizarre and those are famous people,
and I feel like we were the only people that
talked about it, you know what I mean, Like you
all watched the video. It's one of the strangest videos
I've ever seen in my life.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Next to Liam Cohen.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Yeah, well, I mean Liam, Liam would have been just
as awkward. But are you do you agree with me? Drew?
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Like that's how did that not become a bigger thing?
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Really?
Speaker 7 (19:34):
When I watched it after we talked about it, most
of the stuff I saw online were people accusing it
of being fake. But I've seen I don't remember the
exact website, but something with a little more credibility than
read it. And Twitter had some comments about Burrow after
the interview, and he was still mad and saying it
wasn't fake. So I think a lot of people speculated
about it and maybe shrugged it off, but it as
far as I can tell, it's very real and is
(19:55):
just as uncomfortable as I thought it was when you
first brought it up.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
And it makes me I've all always thought of Howie Mandel.
That's the guy ryan with the briefcases, right, he seems
like a pleasant guy.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
He just has the briefcases.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
And I wonder if I'll ever look at Howie Mandel
as anything but a jerk again because of watching that.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
You know, see you watch it and you just look
at Bill Burr, watch his reaction, Listen to what he says.
You know, it's real to him, that's real. Yeah, but
Hami Mandel, shame on you for setting that up and
try to, you know, ambush Bill Burr like that.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
That's what I look at it, And I don't.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Think it was Billy Corgan's fault, do you like? I mean,
he says he was told Burr was cool with it. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (20:36):
In the clip he's like, wait, he didn't tell you,
And he seemed genuine when he says that, like it
sounds like he's being surprised.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
Also eclip.
Speaker 5 (20:44):
So Shandon, do you think there's any chance that it's fake?
Speaker 3 (20:47):
I mean, yeah, there's always a chance. Do I think
that was fake. I mean, didn't come across as fake
to me. Seem pretty real to me.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
I would say, if it's fake, they're two of the best,
like they need to be a movie. Well, I guess
Bill Burr is in movie sometimes, but they both need
to be. I felt like it was real, and I
felt like it was the most awkward thing I've ever seen.
And I'm really surprised because they are all three very
famous people. I'm surprised it didn't get more attention, just
(21:15):
because I can't remember the last time I've seen a
more uncomfortable thing on a camera in my life.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
But do you think that's why people are so uncomfortable
seeing this inside family drama? We don't want to be
a part of it.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
We feel maybe that's what it is.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
I don't know, but it's crazy.
Speaker 7 (21:32):
My thing with it about not being fake is Okay,
this is a very wild story. If they really wanted
to tell it, why would you go to Howie Mandel
who even knew Howie Mandel had a show. Bill Burr
is very capable of doing this moment without Howie Mandel.
If he wanted to tell this story and have Billy involved,
Billy Corgan involved.
Speaker 4 (21:50):
So you think it is fake.
Speaker 7 (21:53):
No, no, no, I'm saying, if they were all in
on it, why would you even include HOWI mandel If
you're going that's a small platform for such a big,
crazy story that you're trying to tell for the first time,
had a podcast. That's my point. Why are you gonna
do that? How he seized the moment there?
Speaker 3 (22:06):
How he is the winner. Now everybody knows about his body.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
He is the winner. But I think I'm gonna always
look at him as a jerk because I can't believe
he did that.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Jerk in the Voice of the Gremlins. Yeah, it's pretty
much his legacy.
Speaker 7 (22:17):
He wasn't shake hands.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
He was a voice in the Grimlins.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Yeah, you didn't know that.
Speaker 5 (22:23):
No, which grim Bike?
Speaker 3 (22:25):
I think all of them.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
Yeah, I think he did most of them.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
He was all the Grimlins.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
I think he did a lot of them. Yeah, how
do you not know that?
Speaker 4 (22:32):
I had no. I just thought he was the briefcase
guy and then he didn't shake hands. I didn't know
he was the Gremlins.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
He was big before that, and he was like on.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
Like Guiding Light or Our General Hospital.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Something was America's got talent still America's got talent.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
I had no idea he was the Grimlins. Yeah wow,
all right, who's up next?
Speaker 3 (22:51):
I gotta go quick. Let's go to Cody.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
Cody real quick.
Speaker 11 (22:56):
MJ.
Speaker 12 (22:57):
How you doing today? Thanks for having me on a lot.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Of We don't need to for you to Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 12 (23:03):
I can't. I can't unhear it now. But hey, I
think it's time for you to throw your hat in
the ring with one of the Paul brothers. I hear
there's good money in that.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Yeah, I'm good, no fakes, I'm I'll stick with docors.
Speaker 12 (23:15):
But hey, I do got a good question for you,
So let's say that you can. It's an either or question.
Either tonight, Perry and uh Trento I have the game
of their lives and lead us to a big win
at Tennessee or we blow out Arkansas.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
You can only have answer that, right, that's an easy answer.
But I'll be right back.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
T J Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
He'll make them pay.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio present it by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
You know how to get me like? This is such
a great zone.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Oh yeah, I'll play some Mark just up for Billy
on the pre show. He had no idea who it was.
I'll play it for mat what what He'll appreciate it,
young man.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
That's right. Love brother love, brothers you love. I'll think
of something, you know. The song that has come back
into my life thanks to Zach Top is two dozen Roses.
I'm like, and I actually think zach Topp's version is better.
Sorry Shenandoah, although I love Shenandoah too, but I find
myself going if I had two dozen Roses, Shennon all
(24:20):
the time. It's such a great song. They're gonna be
the country from the nineties. It's just better. I don't
care what anybody said. Rap and country were better in
the nineties than they've been ever booked since that's just
the way it is.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
That's why we're going to that. At Ashland Festival, you
get shinandoa In, Mark Chestnutt both perfect.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Bring Zack Top. I'm gonna have to miss him.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
So Zach I think I told you the Zach Top dude.
His his manager is a Kentucky fan right wrote me,
offered me like front row tickets to see Zach Top.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
The problem is it's during the Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
Arkansas game Saturday night in Columbus, So like, I can't
I can't miss the Kentucky Arkansas game. And then I
looked at the schedule, and every time he's close, we
have a Kentucky something.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
So there'll be another tour. There's only one he's gonna get.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
He's getting big, though, and like now it's not gonna
It's like when Tyler, like he had that last tour
and then he got huge. I kind of think that's
gonna happen with this guy too, all right. So the
question what, by the way, I forgot about how he
Mandale drew Bobby's world.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
I didn't you remember that cartoon that I didn't know
if you would remember that or not.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
Though I do remember Bobby's I was actually good. I
had no idea about the Grimlins really never uh never
heard that. All right, So the guy asked, which would
you rather have? Ryan, I'll let you start, and everybody
can go over. Travis Perry uh and Trent Noah scored
fifteen points each tonight, and we beat Tennessee and lose
to Arkansas, or we lose tonight blow Arkansas out. From
(25:54):
a resume perspective, you'd actually rather have the Tennessee win
than the Arkansas win. But I'm still picking Arkansas. I
don't care if Travis Perry and Trent Noah got thirty
points each. I don't want to lose to Cal in
the first game back. I'm picking Arkansas. What about you?
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Yeah, this is an easy one, blowing out Arkansas. Col's
first trip back. They come limping in maybe the worst
team in the SEC. You can't let that team come
into rupert and beat you, regardless who their coach is.
Speaker 7 (26:21):
True, I completely agree. I want Noah Perry to have
their big moment and I hate Tennessee. But Cal needs
to beat down to Reperena. That's top priority right now,
and that needs to happen on Saturday.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Chandon, here's the thing. Like on Kentucky's resume, they already
have several really good wins. They don't have a bad
loss yet.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
That would be a a terrible one. Ohio State's not
a good one, but not a terrible one.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, but I mean like losing on the same caliber
losing to Arkansas. So I would rather have the win
over Arkansas and you'll lose the Tennessee game.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Yeah, me too. I mean if it were pick any
other teams, Like if you were saying to me, would
you rather lose at home to South Carolina but then
beat Alabama on the road. I'm gonna take beating Alabama
on the road. But in this particular instance, there's no
way that I'm going to pick losing to Arkansas. I
(27:14):
don't even want to think about what losing to Arkansas
would be like. At home, you.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Would because there's there's a strong chance you're gonna be
riding a three game losing streak coming into that game
against Arkansas.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
You can't drop four inner row.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
Then you got old miss after that. That could be fair.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
I mean, there's there is a world in which if
you were to lose to Arkansas, you start having that,
especially if Butler and Carr out, you start having that
conversation of could we miss the tournament?
Speaker 6 (27:39):
You got to you got to discuss it. Yep.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
So yeah, no, yes, no, we cannot lose to Arkansas.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
Who's next.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Let's go to Jake from Florida.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
Jake, go ahead, Jake, Yo, can you hear me?
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Gotcha?
Speaker 11 (27:55):
Hello?
Speaker 5 (27:56):
All right?
Speaker 13 (27:57):
So I got a story about the new ball things
got going on in Jacksonville. I was I went to
a game one time with a buddy of mine and
they started chanting to do ball thing and I was like,
I asked one of the Jacksonville fans. I said, what
in the world are they doing?
Speaker 11 (28:12):
What is that?
Speaker 13 (28:13):
And he was just rude, Man, I don't rock with
Jacksonville Field Jacksonville fans anymore. He was like, did you
not look at anything before you came to this game?
I was like, no, I'm not from here. I was
just asking, like, what what's the chant you're doing? He
was like, it's obviously the county we're in. Did you
not know that? I was like, sorry, man, I'm not
from here. Can you like take it easy on me?
Speaker 4 (28:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (28:37):
They are. They like they love you know, in Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
We do.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
I appreciate the call of Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (28:44):
We do like represent our counties a lot, especially if
you're in rural places. But they do love the call.
I mean, do you know, like how many other of
the NFL teams right, do you know what county they're in? Like?
What county is? What county are the are the Houston
Texans in?
Speaker 6 (29:01):
Do you know idea? No clue?
Speaker 5 (29:03):
No county is Green Bay in Shannon.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
I don't even think I know Chicago.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
I believe Chicago is Cook County? Is that right? Sounds like?
Speaker 6 (29:16):
Sounds like? That sounds right?
Speaker 4 (29:18):
I want to say that's Cook County. I don't know.
Do you know what county Nashville is? Andrew?
Speaker 7 (29:23):
I can do two teams. Nashville's Davidson and if I'm
not mistaken, the Bengals are in Hamilton.
Speaker 6 (29:29):
It's a good call.
Speaker 4 (29:31):
I would not have known Nashville. You're right, Cincinnati is Hamilton.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Green Bay is Brown County. You could have given me
said Brown is Atlanta?
Speaker 6 (29:40):
Cobb County?
Speaker 5 (29:42):
Is it Atlanta though in Cobb County?
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Or is it in? I know Cobb County borders it,
but is it technically in cause there's like for Sith County.
I only know this from elections because the callb county
or what county is Atlanta?
Speaker 7 (29:58):
I would have said Cob But now you mentioned I'm
second guessing myself. No, it's Fulton. What are we talking about?
Speaker 3 (30:06):
How did we not know that that was? That was?
Speaker 5 (30:09):
That was a brain fart for County Stadium? How did
we not know that? Let's see, let's Saint Louis what county?
Speaker 6 (30:16):
Anybody know Jefferson. I had no idea.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
Said that with confidence though.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
See if you guys like, yeah, that's it, yeah Jefferson.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
Yeah, how did we not get Fulton County? Children?
Speaker 3 (30:34):
St? Louis is in Saint Louis County.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
It feels like one that you should be able to remember. Uh, Philadelphia.
I'm trying to think there's an what's Cleveland? Cleveland is
Lake County?
Speaker 6 (30:50):
Would make sense?
Speaker 4 (30:52):
I don't know. I can't think of it.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Like the only state in the in the whole Union
that says we were identified by what county we're from.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
Nobody else They.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Care about counties more than almost any You're exactly right
about it.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
I just thought of Cleveland's county.
Speaker 7 (31:08):
I can't I can get like eight more pro teams
go for Los Angeles County, right, Okay.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
You're right, yeah, because those county, Yeah they're in New Jersey. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
What was Cleveland? It's like it's like an Indian name,
isn't it.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
It's spelled c u y a h o g A Cuyahoga.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
It's an Indian name, that's a Native American county.
Speaker 7 (31:37):
Ah ron, you should get Tampa. Come on, where were
the parents living in Tampa?
Speaker 4 (31:40):
Come on.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
You got van Ellis County.
Speaker 7 (31:41):
Boom, Yeah, look at us.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
There we go, We're look look, of course the most
elective porton county is.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Did you see walking into the podium think he's gonna
be so cool?
Speaker 5 (31:55):
I'm gonna you know, he thought that was gonna be hit.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
You know he did tell, which makes it hurt even
more because he thought his mine, this is gonna be
great and it just Tim go ahead, Tim, hey.
Speaker 14 (32:08):
Man, this is Tim. I'm in Illinois. I'll live in
Randolph County, Illinois, but I'm from Poppins County in Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
There you go.
Speaker 14 (32:16):
All right, all right, you asked for one time that
you have how to promote your show to get better listeners.
Why can't you guys get on the SEC network like
Paul Fine Bombs because we should.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
We should be.
Speaker 5 (32:28):
I don't know, I.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Mean just I think just in basketball season, I'm with you,
we should be on the SEC network. There's uh. I
had conversations with him, like when I back when I
was filling in for Fine Bob and the problem is
gonna be that they produce everything out of Charlotte, and
they were like, you'd have to go to Charlotte and
(32:50):
we can't all live in Charlotte, so it just didn't
didn't really because they're that they don't have studios, so
that would have been. But since then I made a
mad and I said the one Missouri coach should be replaced,
and you know who knows maybe one day.
Speaker 14 (33:04):
All right, okay, I appreciate you bring Kentucky de Illinois
every day.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
Thank you, thank you, sir. But you know, I know,
you know Shannon who's from Cobb County, Georgia.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
Though, the Big boss Man.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
The Big boss Man, he always gets his man.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
Same thing that was the Canadian boss.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Man carried a big stick of ball and chain two.
And if you're looking for trouble, he'll be coming after you.
You serving hard times.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
The braves are in Cobb County though, right the stay down.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
Yeah, it moved up to uh. I think it moved
up to Cobb County. DraftKings. Uh. If you want to
place a wager on all the college games tonight, go
to Draft Kings. Use my promo code KSR. Remember great deals,
got the Super Bowl coming, Let's make some picks for DraftKings.
Louisville with maybe the last game they could lose this year.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
It's great.
Speaker 4 (33:54):
Louisville might end up like nineteen and one in the ACC.
They host Wake Forest and they are an eight and
a half point favorite. Drew. Any chance that Wake pulls
off the ups I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (34:07):
Going with the.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Cards, I think, yeah, I think they're better than we
all gave him credit for.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
They're getting better.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
It seems like as they go along in their season
is gonna just end up getting better and better because
they don't play anybody.
Speaker 6 (34:18):
So, yeah, Louisville wins.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
It's hard to know. Yeah, I mean it's hard to
I don't know. It's hard to hard to see them
lose it. I don't know though, how good they are,
because I mean, I know they're good, but the ACC
is so bad. Yeah, are we gonna? Are we gonna
cover tonight? It's now ten and a half.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
Oh wow, I'll.
Speaker 7 (34:37):
Do you one better because it just went live. I
just got the text. We have a parlay on the app.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
What is it?
Speaker 7 (34:43):
It does not involve the final score or winning team.
Speaker 6 (34:47):
Probably good.
Speaker 7 (34:47):
Choose your own adventure on that involves two players, Jackson
Robinson and otega Oway. We need Robinson to have fifteen,
oh Way to have twelve? Oh wait needs a three.
Robinson needs three threes.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
That's all.
Speaker 7 (35:00):
Oh wait, twelve points one to three Robinson fifteen points
three threes, those things. If those things don't happen, just
come on home. It's true, because it's not gonna be
a good knight for the cats.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
I really like Jackson robbin is that.
Speaker 7 (35:13):
It's almost it's almost five to it's plus four fifty
just for.
Speaker 5 (35:17):
Like that parl.
Speaker 4 (35:18):
But I'll tell you just as a straight bet, Robinson
over fifteen is a good bet because if Robinson doesn't
score fifteen, we're gonna score forty points tonight.
Speaker 7 (35:27):
Robinson over fifteen is plus money by itself, I will add,
Oh dude, So there we go. Look we can we
cannot have to bet against them to win, not have
to worry about an outcome. Just a Jackson Robinson breakthrough.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
Robinson Robinson's got He's got to get fifteen because he's
gonna have to shoot like every time. So I like
that one.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
All right, we'll take you break come back for final segment.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
It's KSR.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
How about you're gonna play two roses?
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Yeah, bigs, much better song than two dozen roses.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
Yeah, you're doing hard time? Have you two dead? Yeah?
He is.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
Yeah, rest in peace. Did you ever see the interview
that Venetti did in OVW with the Big Boss Man.
Speaker 11 (36:15):
I did?
Speaker 4 (36:16):
Actually, Yeah, they were down at the garden or whatever.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Yeah, that was a good stuff.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Yeah, dude. Uh, some other counties. I should have gotten
this again from elections Miami Dade County. Ah. By the way,
Tampa is not in the county you said it was.
Pela said it's in Hillsborough County.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Okay, must be Saint Petersburg's Panellis County, then it must
be too.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
Is that where your parents lived.
Speaker 6 (36:41):
Or they were on Largo, which closer to Saint Petersburg.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
Okay. Uh. I should have gotten Phoenix, Arizona, Maricopa County
because my buddy was the guy who ran the elections
there that all the Trump people like threatened to kill
in twenty twenty. Stephen Richter, good guy. I should have
known that because that was his job. He was Maracopa
County election guy. Yeah. The rest of these I don't
(37:07):
think people would know. Did you know that the Washington
is in Prince George's county in Maryland?
Speaker 7 (37:14):
No, I'm disappointed in Dade should have had that one.
Speaker 5 (37:18):
Yeah, we should have had day.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
We should have had.
Speaker 7 (37:20):
Fulton is very disappointed us right now, Rick Cross, all
the guys down there, we should have known.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Dade County. The louver some breaking news here. I know
you want some art world news, Shannon, I be like that.
That's right. The louver is moving the Mona Lisa away
from the public's reach to where you have to see
(37:44):
it behind glass because so many people have been trying
to throw things on it in the loop. So the
Mona Lisa, now I've I had seen it. You could
like walk up to it. There was a bear. You
couldn't like touch it, but you could walk right up
to it. Now will be far away from the public
behind class because so many people have tried to like
(38:05):
ruin it over the last few years.
Speaker 6 (38:07):
Yeah, I did.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
This trend of throwing soup on art and stuff like
that on this famous artwork is ridiculous.
Speaker 7 (38:12):
I don't get it anyway, paint on stuff that's existed
for hundreds of years. That stuff so annoying. I get
you got a cause you want to stand up for,
but destroying something like that is not how to do it.
Speaker 4 (38:23):
Yeah, I uh yeah. It's usually like the people who
want to like make points about climate change or whatever.
I don't know why people think that will help make
your point. I often want to say to liberals, like,
when you just make people mad, they're not gonna want
to be on your side. It's like the people who
stand out and block traffic. Shit, yeah, when someone's blocking traffic,
(38:44):
no one is gonna be on their side. They want
to get hold.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
It's a great way to get everybody to immediately hate you.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Exactly. So the people who do things like throw paint
on art, I'm like, it's counterproductive. People are gonna get
mad at you. That's not a way to convince them
to do anything. Let's do one more. Who's next, Terry, Terry,
go ahead, Terry.
Speaker 10 (39:04):
Yeah, guys, what are you kind of a different angle
on the injuries? What's your off take on Like, how
do you think the staff handles this? Like popetman, I
mean Car's been playing with this back injury for like
two or three weeks. What is then they give him
a week off? Okay, he gets a whole week off
(39:26):
and then he can't go against Vandy. I would say
ninety nine percent chance he doesn't play tonight.
Speaker 11 (39:33):
So do you think they say, well, we probably can
beat Vandy without him, so we won't play. We probably
can't beat Tennessee with him, so we won't play. Same
with Butler.
Speaker 10 (39:44):
How do you what's the pack cology?
Speaker 5 (39:45):
You know, I think it's a great question.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
I'm not sure. I mean, I think I would think
and I appreciate the call. I got the sense with
these are two different things because I don't know what
Butler's injury was Car. I think they decided that continuing
to try to move him along was doing nothing, so
they were going to try to give him an extended
period off. I'm actually surprised if they were gonna say
(40:08):
Butler was out. I thought they'd do the same with Carr.
I don't know if he'll play tonight or not. If
I were to guess, I don't think we see Carr again,
Drew the rest of the year. I do think we'll
see car at some point. I don't know about Butler.
There's a part of me that's worried about Butler, because
(40:31):
you know, a back can flare up, not flare up,
hurt not hurt. If you tear your shoulder, you've torn
your shoulder, you know what I mean. And there's a
part of me Drew that worries. Hopefully I'm wrong, but
that worries maybe we've reached a point that will make
it tough for him to come back. I hope I'm wrong,
though I'm with you.
Speaker 7 (40:53):
I'll start a curR going in order of everything we
said there. Even if he gets healthy, if it doesn't
happen soon, you worry about just bringing a guy off
of lower leg injury that hadn't played basketball in two
months and throw him in a tournament. I don't think
we'll see him again with Carr the back thing. I
think with rest, we'll get him eventually. But Butler is
now my biggest concern. His dad retweeted something last night
(41:13):
that said, let him rest and get healthy. We need
him from March, and at first I got it excited,
but I thought, wait a minute, need him for March?
Does that mean we don't have him until March. So
that was kind of hard to interpret his dad's retweet there.
But it doesn't seem like he's close to being a
big particilar.
Speaker 5 (41:28):
That does make me feel better. I didn't know that, Drew.
Speaker 4 (41:30):
That actually does make me feel better, because I don't
think he'd be retweeting we need him for March. If
we knew he wouldn't play in March. Yeah, yeah, if
he tore his shoulder, he's not coming back. So that
makes me feel like maybe he didn't So actually I
didn't know what you just said. That's actually makes me
feel a little better.
Speaker 7 (41:47):
Yeah, we need him for March. Makes me wonder how
soon we'll get him, But it means it's, you know,
optimistic that we'll see him again.
Speaker 4 (41:55):
Yeah, all right, real quick? Uh, give me a percentage
chance we win Ryan.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
Five?
Speaker 3 (42:06):
That's i'most say, like a zero.
Speaker 5 (42:08):
Yeah, I was gonna go twenty. What about you, Drew.
Speaker 7 (42:12):
We were in this exact spot two years ago. Severe
Wheeler was out, Cason Wallace was out. They were eleven
and a half point underdog. I drove down there, not
wanting to be there at all. I picked it before
the year began, fully expected a loss, and they go
to and whoop them with CJ. Frederick Adue was bringing
the ball up the court. I'm not saying that will
happen tonight, but I don't think it's completely written off.
(42:34):
Thought Ryan was a little low. I'll say I'll also
say twenty percent, but it's gonna take a special shooting
dot Com promo.
Speaker 4 (42:40):
Code KSR Full spectrum Flower only HEMP CBD helps you rests,
helps you relax. Hopefully we'll need it after this game tonight,
because we'll all be so worked up after when go
