I do highly recommend going to Pittsburgh Stadium there. First
of all, tickets are cheap. We're sitting like on the

when Pope went live, I thought there's gonna be hundreds
of people that drive straight to Kroger Field just to
be a part of this. I wondered if any fans
showed up and watched that, because how coo would that
be to just go watch future lottery pick and learn
how to parallel park at the football stadium? It is?

This is the dude who could be picked in the
top five of the draft and he's out there trying
not to hit an egg in his car to get
his license.

I think it was a great team bonding experience just
to have because the other teammates out there kind of
helping him, trying to, you know, get him excited about it,
teach him some things. So I think it's just a
great way that Pope again has drawing this team kind
of as a bond of the unit. All come from
different category, different teams get him to come together.

So he doesn't need to know how to parallel park.
He's gonna have one of these big expensive cars that
you've hit a button at a parallel parks itself. He

you think we can win the Big twelve, just more

to Purdue. I don't want to go to Wisconsin. I

Right see, I'm going to ACC. You get to play
Duke and North Carolina home and home maybe every year, Louisville.
And for football, I think Kentucky could compete pretty well
in the AEC for football, right.

Champion, Gelda, Yeah, I mean I think Kentucky football, if
they got really good one you're could possibly own the ACC,
you know, and win the ACC. We're not gonna win
the SEC. Just football.

Yeah, I'm going to the Big Ten.

Part of it's the money, but then part of it
is also the Big Ten has a decent mix of
a lot of games our fans could drive to.

Right, you could drive to Purdue.

Indiana, Illinois, Ohio State, Michigan, State, Michigan. You could drive
to a ton of those games. Then you get a
once a year trip out to LA if you want
to go for USC and UCLA get a trip to
New York to play against Rutgers. And I think it
would be hard to win the Big Ten. But I

actually think it's Indiana showed last year Drew it's easier
to get right under the powers in the Big Ten
than it is in the SEC. So I think it's
very hard to beat Ohio State, Michigan regularly, but you
can rise to third or fourth in the Big Ten.
And we've seen almost every school in the Big Ten
do it at some point. So I feel like we

would have. We might not be able to win the
way Big Ten, but we could get to the point
that we're like knocking on the door for the twelfth
playoff spot in the Big Ten easier than we could
in the SEC.

me back into the Big Ten on a California trip. Yeah,

out of high school, what is the parameters as far
as like, how can you even represent a school, like
a rebalker under arm or Adidas in college, Like, how
does that even work in a Nike contract?

Well, I mean, I think what happens. There's this happens.
Occasionally a kid signs a Nike deal. He personally wears
Nike shoes and then the uniform is just Adidas and
they just like get through it. But he personally wears
Nike schools like you, I mean, you watch Kentucky games.
The days of everyone on the team wearing the same shoe,
those days long past, and players basically get to wear

whatever shoe they want. But the uniform, it is the
case even a Nike athlete would have to wear Adidas
logo on their uniform, and I think the honestly, the
shoe company.

I think it was that Auburn that some player came
ryan and he was you know, it's an under armored school.
And he was not able, Like he said, you can't

they represent Adidas and they go to an under armoured school.

the money's right, probably they'll go.

He just wants to run for Senate and this is
like his last year anyway, And if that's the case,

it's gonna have an impact on recruiting. I would think,

Yeah, And you know you're representing the whole university. It
just seems you could divide your audience whatever side you're on,
when really no one's making you do that. But obviously
he feels very strongly people say that to me too, So,
I mean, you're representing you and you know, but he's
working for Auburn that is a public university.

And even though I dislike almost everything he says, I
do think he has a right to say it.

I'm just surprised if you're a basketball coach.

And you recruit predominantly African American kids to come out
and say Obama is the worst. I just it would
seem to me that would be a risky thing to do.
But I guess Ryan he thinks it'll be fine. They
didn't do as well in recruiting this year. This was
the worst year they've had, so I don't know. But again,
he may be just like wanting to go run for offs.
This will be his last year anyway, And I would say,

that preseason. It is a grind, especially you know, the
starters sit pretty early in the game and you're getting

or what makes the Jalen bill Roe played and Asher Sante.

Oklahoma and then he and some of his teammates got arrested.
They basically stole money, jewelry, I think, marijuana.

It was an arm robbery, got kicked out of school.

He was facing fifteen years in prison, ended up getting probation.
He says he's turned his life around and now he
will be the starting running back at Kentucky this year.
When you hear a story like that, Ryan, because I
mean this happened when he was eighteen, it was twenties,
it was twenty twenty one, he's like eighteen years old.

Do you like that path of redemption?

And you know, I have to say I didn't even
know about it till I read the story on KSR.

You know, we all make stupid mistakes when we're eighteen,

I mean, that's not all of us do that.

But when I think, you know, the Stoops connections in Oklahoma,
they checked it out, and I think they fail. I

he made a mistake, he's trying to turn his life around.
I think they talked to the folks in New Mexico
also got good reports on him. So all intensive purposes,
he's learned his lesson and maybe he deserved I think
he does deserve a second chance.

I like a good, you know, redemption story. I believe
in giving people a second chance. But when you're talking
about being disciplined and that being a focal of your team,
I hesitate to I would hesitate to bring in somebody
with a track record like that.

long time like that and he can say, hey, if
you go down the wrong path, here's what I.

open practices, and watch that guy run, even just drills.
He is planting that foot in the ground and running
with a purpose.

Doubt That was maybe a little power. We're gonna the're
gonna use both of them a lot. They're one and two,

He had a huge opportunity Oklahoma completely lost it and
it was a long way back. Even had a year
where he didn't play. He went to Juco, then he
went to New Mexico in UK's running back coach recruited

into Oklahoma, So there's that connection too. He was at
Oklahoma with him when he messed up, giving him the
second chance. He seems to have his head on straight
and he is going to be a good running back
this year. I can't wait to see him.
