Welcome to our two Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now Here's Matt Jones All right.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Welcome back Kentucky Sports Radio live on the road today
at Clark's Pumping Shop on Nicholas Field Road, just south
of Brandon Crossing and south of Man of War by
the new Long John Silver's coming out and join us.
We got a lot of free giveaways and things we're
giving away out here, but we're joined by two superstars
right now. Give it up. Volleyball superstars Brooklyn Delay and
Molly Tuzzo are here. Talk to us about it, you guys.
(01:28):
I mean, you talk about elevating a program UK volleyball
now synonymous with the best teams in the country. That's
gonna make you feel good. You know you're a part
of something like that.
Speaker 5 (01:37):
Yes, it does.
Speaker 6 (01:38):
That's awesome.
Speaker 7 (01:39):
Speaking of the best teams in the country, we just
started the season recently, and I feel like you all
are trying to play every team that's ranked. I know
you all didn't build the schedule, but when Coach Skinner
puts that in front of you, is it excitement? Is
it like, Oh my goodness, here we go. I mean,
what's the thought process of really running the gauntlet with
all these ranked teams so early in your season?
Speaker 5 (02:00):
I mean a little bit of both it's so exciting.
But he's always big on you got to play the
best to beat the best, So I think it's good
to play them early on. Get that experience, deals with
the adversity and the tough losses in the exciting win.
So I think he does it every year and we're
excited for every single time.
Speaker 7 (02:15):
You didn't win the one against Nebraska, even though that
was an awesome one to watch. That crowd was fun,
even though it mostly Nebraska. But playing the number one
team like that, is there any just taken away that
you were able to hang? Are you also competitive that
it's just win and win or there's a little bit
of that was number one, we're right there with them.
Speaker 6 (02:32):
I mean that was one of our first games. So
you learn a lot from those losses. But also it
just prepares you for the very end, because like that
crowd was like no other, I mean, or Husker Nation
always shows out every time, so you're just prepared for
I mean the tournament going forward.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Molly, you know you mentioned you played Nebraska first, then
your next game should be lan like a cupcake, and
you got number two Penn State next. I mean, I
guess that helped you though, knowing you just played the
number one team, not intimidated by going to play the
number tw team on their home floor when they were
raising their championship banners that night.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Yeah, it fired us up. That was an exciting game.
So to get that win and especially a sweep on
their super tough crowd, it was incredible.
Speaker 7 (03:10):
Speaking of getting fired up, there's no sport like volleyball
where you all root each other on. I mean, every
time something happens, it's let's huddle, let's cheer. You're always
pumping something up, pumping each other up. Does that come
natural with the sport or is that something you are
constantly looking to do because there's nothing like the cheering
for each other like when the volleyball team's doing it.
Speaker 6 (03:29):
I mean, it just kind of goes along with the sport,
like it is a momentum sport. So you kind of
have to build that for yourself, and you just got
to come together after every point to figure out where
you're gonna do going forward, and just yeah, you really
just come together and play for each other.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
You know, you guys have been here, both been here
for a couple of years. How have you seen the
support get, you know, grow, since you guys have had
this success. We see it at Kass Bar. We have
a watch part, like Joni'll come up and make sure
the game's on a chast bar and people will come
and watch you guys play Nebraska there Brooklyn talk about that.
How have you seen it grow since you ca it's
been here.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
I mean it's just insane, like the crowd. So there's
almost a new record every year, Like I mean, Nebraska
had the world record.
Speaker 7 (04:09):
I think it was.
Speaker 6 (04:10):
So it's just cool that more people are understanding the
game and just falling along. Because even like we're getting
broadcasted on ESPN, which is really cool.
Speaker 7 (04:17):
That's never been done before as well. And Kentucky's had
some success before you all got here. And I'm not
mistaken you're Kansas, Texas, not exactly local when you're going
through your recruitment this Kentucky have that brand power. Is
that a big part of why you considered it?
Speaker 5 (04:32):
Not even I think it's just the culture of this
place is amazing. It's such a big family, and I
think being so far from home, as soon as I
got here, I was just like, this is where I
want to be. This is my family. So it was
definitely the culture that was the.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
Main reason the new Historic Memorial Coliseum. I know you've
already had a year, but that's pretty fancy too. I
guess it wasn't ready when you were being recruited. But
did you have a pretty good understanding of what you'd
be playing in while you were considering your college choices.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
I did.
Speaker 7 (04:57):
It's pretty nice place, huh.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
You guys gonna fill up to this weekend. You got
your home opener three o'clock tomorrow, you play SMU, I said,
are they any good? Top ten? Top ten?
Speaker 7 (05:08):
Right?
Speaker 4 (05:09):
And then you play Houston on Sunday. So you got
back to back home game Saturday Sunday. So finally got
some home games and we can kind of see you guys,
I bliving in person this weekend.
Speaker 7 (05:18):
Oh yeah, I want want to ask about coach Skinner
before we move on to you all playing the next
top team. I think you all might play like Russia
next week Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night football. But
what's Craig Skinner? We've been following him for years. He
obviously has a great program, been winning the SEC seems
like every year. Seems like the nicest guy ever too,
what's he like behind the scenes as a coach. I
know you all have to be fond of him.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
I mean, he's just awesome, Like he honestly just feels
like a second dad to all of us.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
You know, he's gonna be there, have your back.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
And you can just put your full trust into him
because he knows what he's talking about and you just
I mean, he has the experience and the accolades behind him.
So he's just awesome.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
I'll put you on the spot. If he wasn't a
volleyball coach, what do you think Craig Skinner would.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Be doing playing golf?
Speaker 6 (06:02):
Yeah, he's a great golfer.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
There we go, pro golfer.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
He was a kicker at Michigan right in college. Yeah,
he was a college kicker in Michigan. So but he,
but he alone has kind of helped this has been
his baby to build it up from nothing, you know,
but on he takes great pride in it. What is
he like as as a coach? Is he a hard ass?
Or is he hely?
Speaker 7 (06:25):
Don't have to answer that directly.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
No, I think he is whenever he needs to be.
But he kind of lets us figure it out on
our own, which is we honestly really appreciate, but I
think there's times whenever he needs to be and we
support that.
Speaker 7 (06:39):
Volleyball in the biggest sport at a lot of schools. But
like Patty here I saw came up to you all,
she does not miss a game. She's got a volleyball
bracelet on you all. With the success of Kentucky, I mean, volleyball,
y'all are some kind of stars around here, big stars.
Really do you fill that presence around Welexington.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
I mean BBN is like no other, Like you just
feel that support when we're at games or just in
the crowds too. So it's just awesome to see that
you have people supporting you and that they're loving volleyball
just as much as we are.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
I mean, they're sitting in a gas station Parkland. We
love this gas station. Clark's is awesome. But this is
an example of BBN being slightly crazy on a Friday morning.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
So talk about your youth clinics you do through Clark's
Pumping Shop.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
I mean, they're amazing opportunities. We appreciate Clark's Pumping Shop
and Rick and everyone who kind of gives us these opportunities.
I think we are given so much being here, so
it's just amazing every single time we get to give
back to.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
That is the turnout always pretty pretty good with the
young girls coming out try to learn the game.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Yes, there's a lot of people everything.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
Do you see the kind of popular day of it
growing in the Lectionaria? I mean, I know you kind
of got a connection to Lection with your boyfriend being
from Harrison.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
County shout out, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
I covered her boyfriend in high school. Oh oh wait
a minute, her boyfriend's son. Yeah, wait what dad, boyfriend's dad.
I cover her boyfriend's dad.
Speaker 7 (07:55):
Do you see what we deal with every day? This
is what we put up with Monday through Friday. Thank
you for helping us.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Brian W. A Juski, Harrison County's finest cover him in
high school. So his son is your boyfriend. So you
kind of got a local connection. Have you seen it grow?
Speaker 7 (08:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Sure, She's like shut up.
Speaker 7 (08:15):
And gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Yeah, well, we appreciate you both of us joining us again.
Tomorrow you got SMU at three o'clock, go watch the
Lady kill SMU. Then you can go to the football
game Saturday night and then come back Sunday to watch
you guys play Houston. What did we figure out? What
time that game is Sun Sunday two pm? So three
pm on Saturday, two pm on Sunday, Brooklyn Delay, Molly Tuzzo,
thank you very much, Best luck to you guys, Congratulations
(08:36):
on all your success. All right, well take our break.
Come back live from Clark's Pumping Shop. Ryan Drew Shannon
Mario were right back on Kentucky's Ports Radio. Welcome back

Everybody comes out here gets free sunglasses. You can register
(08:58):
for tickets to go see Eric Church. We're gonna give
away Burburdon Beyond tickets and if you do a touchdown dance,
you can get a twenty five dollars gas card. Brian
did one, Noah did once. We've given away two of
our gas cards so far. So are you gonna do
what I would do one? If they'll give me one?
Hecky twenty five dollars gas card. A couple thing. We're
gonna Pigba about the volleyball team before they get out
of here.
Speaker 8 (09:16):
That was a great interview, by the way, you guys
did a great job there.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
I mean, they're superstars. Those two guys, gals are superstars.
SMU event tomorrow is free.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
It can't help them, so but doubt the gals. You
know that drives Matt crazy, doesn't It doesn't bother me,
but yest carry out.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
So the SMU match is free to the public tomorrow,
and then next Thursday they play at Louisville Drew and
there's gonna be a bus taking fans to Louisville to
the YOUM Center for the Kentucky Louisville match. Contact the
Volleyball office and you get signed up to beyond that bus.
Speaker 7 (09:49):
Might if to contact the volleyball office. That sounds pretty
fun doing next Thursday. That sounds fun. Oh what they're
playing another ranked team on Thursday. Louisville's ranked. Are they
gonna play the whole top twenty? They're on pace.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
They've got to have the toughest schedule in the nation.
A volleyball team having a better or you know, a
tougher schedule than somebody pointed out on the Avision lass
text machine.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
I just saw it. They have to play these tough
non conference games because they dominate the conference so much.
Oh wow, So UK is the number one team in
the SEC to kill everybody. I got to play these
top ten teams non conference just to get some good matches.
Speaker 7 (10:25):
There's a few Texas Florida. They're always tough. But I
get it. I get it.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
A and MS smart to do that. I mean, you're gonna,
as I always say on the basketball side, why not
play in the non conference of the best teams that
you can play. You're going to see those same teams
again in the Inter DOUAA tournament, so why would you
not play them in the regular season if you have
the opportunity to.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
So who's a sponsor? Whose segment sponsored by Drew?
Speaker 7 (10:44):
This sponsor a R. This segment is sponsored by our
good friends at Shady Race. Ryan, I need you to
stop overpaying for some glasses. You've been doing that since
I've known you. Absolutely, you need to go to Shady
Race because you know why, if you break them, lose them,
don't replace them. I went to Lake Tahoe a few
weeks ago, brand new Shady Rays. I gotta out of
remote for at the bottom Flake Todd, So I need
to go to Shady Rais and replace those from their
(11:04):
tangle free aviators that won't get stuck in your hair
to their color rustlingses that provide ultimate color enhance visibility.
Every member of the family can find their perfect pair.
Shady Rays offers the best protection program in the industry
with lost and broken replacements. So take them on your
next adventure with a team that has your beck. That's
a Shady Rays and we'll be there soon. Ish right,
isn't that on the schedule?
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Coming up? It's coming up very soon. I think it's
Matt's first show back. That's right, mistaken, like maybe October third,
big celebration show for Shady Raids. All right, eight five, nine,
two to eighty seven. That's the car pumplan Shot phone
number if you want to call and get on board.
I do have a story. This is all about Shannon.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Oh yeah, how do I not know what this is?
ABC News?
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Yeah? I mean this is not some internet junkie. ABC
News showed video of what appeared to be a UFO
shot down by a missile, but then the UFO kept going.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Right so it didn't get shot down.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
He didn't get shot down. It like it split into
three pieces, and then each of the three pieces kept going.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Yeah, they divided and conquered. That's what they do.
Speaker 7 (12:05):
What was that?
Speaker 3 (12:06):
It's aliens? You mean, what was it? I don't know.
You think I have the answers, I'm not sure. I
think there's a lot of strange things that are out there,
and uh, this is just another one of those. I
don't really know how to explain. I saw the video.
I don't really know how to explain what I saw though.
Speaker 7 (12:20):
And that was like some crazy person. That was Congress, right,
that's right, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
In Congress. ABC News played it. But nobody has an
answer what that was?
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Aliens?
Speaker 7 (12:31):
I mean, I've been telling you all for years and
you act like I'm crazy. I mean, they're they're up there,
and they're getting closer and closer.
Speaker 8 (12:36):
You don't you don't.
Speaker 7 (12:37):
Believe in aliens? Is that it?
Speaker 4 (12:40):
I would? I always though, we can't be the only
beans in this whole universe. There has to be something
somewhere where we found it.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
Yeah, now they're flying over the ocean and we got
to up our missiles. They're not working.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
You can shoot them, they'll just split into threes and
they all three kept going yeah, yeah, so.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Why didn't they try to shoot one of the other
three pieces?
Speaker 7 (12:59):
I mean they have nine there were in big trouble eggs.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
That's true, that's true. Then you go to eighteen and
then thirty six and.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
You see stuff there's no explanation that one kind of
one of those things, like, there's no explanation for what happened?
What is that?
Speaker 7 (13:12):
And the source like, it's not just some Facebook video
over You're like, this is doctor. No, they're actually looking
into what that was.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Another story that we kind of touched on when it
happened was about cracker barrel. Oh, yeah, did you see
cracker barrel? They're dropping the remodel, gonna go back to
the old cracker barrel. Did they even remodel any of them?
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Oh, there was four of them that got remodeled. Those
so now those four are gonna be special cracker barrels.
I've never seen anybody backtrack as quickly as they have,
but at least they were smart enough to listen to
the majority of people who said, what are you doing?
Why are you trying to fix something that isn't broken.
I'm glad that you know, they're actually keeping things the
way they are, because when I walk into a Cracker Barrel,
I wanted to look like Grandma's house. You know. I
(13:50):
need all the brown tables and the floor brown, and
the lattices. Everything in there's brown. That's the thing about
Cracker Barrel walking brown. It's that old Tommy phil with
the oil and the t game. I need all that
to be in the Cracker Barrel or else I probably
wouldn't want to go if it looked like a Denny's
on the inside.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
So the remanel was all got fresh white paint, right, Yeah,
to try to tear make it brighter outside there, bring
back the brown. Well, they obviously they I there's you know,
the conspiracy theory is this was their plan all along. Yeah,
just to get the name back out there. Like when's
the last time we talked about Cracker Barrel.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
This may be like the smartest campaign ever get free advertising.
Maybe if they weren't really going to do that to
all of them to begin with, they knew there would
be an outrage. I didn't know there would be that
kind of outrage over Cracker Barrel. I figured most people
don't really care, but they have without a doubt gotten
a ton of free advertising, free publicity over basically doing nothing.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Was they hold the new the new coke old coke?
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (14:48):
Was that a scam? Was that just to get people
to go back to old coke start drinking old coke
again because they didn't like new coke?
Speaker 3 (14:54):
But probably just giving them way too much credit. I
think that they were legitimately thinking this was a good idea.
We're gonna read bottle all the cracker barrels and people
were gonna like it. Turns out it blew up in
their face, but they still benefit. Like I said, with
all the people who have talked about it, including us.
Speaker 7 (15:10):
It's just crazy to me the things that we latch onto.
Like I said this on Matt's podcast, no part of
me cares what cracker barrel looks like. I don't have
that trait that cares what Chick fil A target, cracker barrel,
what any of them do. So this outrage and people
are still talking about it, It's just like it's cracker barrel. Guys, Like,
when's the when's the last time you were at a
(15:31):
cracker barrel?
Speaker 4 (15:33):
It's been probably before COVID.
Speaker 7 (15:34):
I think you have to go three times a week
to have an opinion about what Cara.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
I was just there a couple of weeks ago. To
be fair, I.
Speaker 7 (15:41):
Told me too, actually have been twice this month.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
I go quite a bit. I probably go. I don't
want to say once a month, but if I said
once every two months, that would probably be about that.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
On Park, we had a basketball coach that went every
single week for the chicken and dumplings, and Gillespie did and.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Look, I like the food. I don't know a lot
of people said the food's gone downhill. I don't see that.
I do not like cracker barrel anti picky eater, though
I'm not.
Speaker 8 (16:06):
A fan of bar Yeah, I feel I feel a
little strange when I get in there.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
We're back home country cooking.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Yeah you don't like country cooking? I do? Yeah, okay,
all right, well it's good. Mario's out a fan. My
biggest thing was like, I don't understand why people were
upset about the logo itself, Like the Long John Silver's
logo over there. If they took that gold fish off
the top of it, I wouldn't be outraged about that,
But if you change the inside of it, not that
Long John Silvers hasn't inside atmosphere like Cracker Barrel does.
(16:36):
But if it did and they change that, that's what
I was, you know, saying that they shouldn't change.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
All right now, I'm gonna do something else we've talked
about in recent weeks. I'm gonna make a prediction. Oh boy,
the number one Halloween costume this year. Halloween's coming up,
what is it a month and a half away. Number
one Halloween costume this year will be Karen Ball Snatcher
the Pilupia girl. You wait should be the number one
Halloween cost because that just that was another story that
(17:02):
just won't go away.
Speaker 8 (17:03):
Are you bringing back the night or your night costume?
You bringing that back up?
Speaker 4 (17:06):
For absolutely? I will. Yes, that's the best costume.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
I still can't believe you actually won an award, and
you won like a free night at the Castle.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
And never used it, never got it, never got it.
I was the best bet.
Speaker 7 (17:20):
Yeah, I never saw you win.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
You're try you were there too, never got it. You're
only gonna be able to use it like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday or something like that. I'm gonna mail it to
me or something. I never got it. I never used
it'day contest. I never stated, but.
Speaker 7 (17:35):
I did follow wrong with Monday through Thursday.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
That was like before.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
COVID that was six years ago or something. They owe you,
they owe you a night.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Help me a night in the castle.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
But don't you think Karen Bosnatcher will be a popular
Halloween costume this year?
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Probably so. I don't know if they're gonna be selling
those in spirit Halloween and those you know, abandoned warehouses
where they put up those Halloween stores, but I could
see a lot of people doing that. Trying to think
of like what other like hot topic items for twenty
twenty five would would make a good Halloween costume?
Speaker 4 (18:05):
Well, last I picked him one.
Speaker 7 (18:06):
Last night I decided on it.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
What is all bits gonna go?
Speaker 7 (18:10):
Lose the beard, go mustache, get a little mullet going
and find that jumpsuit.
Speaker 8 (18:14):
Losing to bear and I don't think I've ever seen
you without a beard.
Speaker 7 (18:16):
Well it's got commit to the bit, Mario. I got
a few weeks to learn how to flip too, but
we're gonna get there.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Last year, the number one costume was Taylor Swift and
Travis Kelcey. They yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
For sure, that's an obvious one, for sure.
Speaker 7 (18:27):
I like the couple that like ten years ago, when
is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey? Did you see this?
She went viral? SR caption literally says this would never
happen in real life, but my boyfriend wanted to be
Travis Kelcey. She's Taylor Swift and it's like several years
before they even started going. So they nailed that one
back in two thousand.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
The cold Play couple. But I don't know how you
would even dress up, Like, how do you do? I
don't think that's a good costume.
Speaker 9 (18:50):
I guess yeah, yeah, they're trying to get romantic there
with Shannon.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Uh. This is from the a Vision Glass text Machine,
which is in the number.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Oh gosh, five seven thirty five thirty six eight.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Here we go. You guys are at Clark's Pumping Shop.
Give us your go to snack?
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Now?
Speaker 7 (19:09):
Oh yes, yes the topic.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
And I kind of did this on the pre show,
but give us your go to snack because you get
everything you can't want here at Clark's Pumping Shop.
Speaker 8 (19:16):
Can I go first?
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Sure? Go ahead?
Speaker 8 (19:18):
Does this have to be like like this can be anything?
Speaker 7 (19:20):
Again?
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Excited?
Speaker 7 (19:21):
He is talking about.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
No, he's fired.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
On a road trip, you stop off at the Clark Shop.
What kind of snacker are you gonna get?
Speaker 8 (19:26):
I'm getting Arizona Mucho mago. You guys, you know I
like drink.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Drink.
Speaker 7 (19:30):
Yeah, you're worried about Arizona raising their prices, see that
a little bit?
Speaker 4 (19:33):
A little bit.
Speaker 8 (19:34):
I'm still gonna get it though, true, Yeah, still, since
that's pretty hard, loyal guy, I'm getting the Albanize gummy bears.
You ever had the Albanie gummy bears?
Speaker 4 (19:41):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (19:42):
I'm gonna have to put you guys on that. That
is that is top tier.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
And then lastly, I'm probably gonna get let's see, probably
get some baked Laze chips. Like the baked Laze it's
the regular original ones inspired my go to watching your
figure a little bit with the baked.
Speaker 7 (19:56):
Yeah, I like the feel of it.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
See I'm boring because I don't drink a lot of
cokes or soda, just in general soda. So I just
go grab like a bottle of water and some beef jerky,
and that's that's my I know it's a boring answer,
but if I'm being honest, that's usually what I'll grab.
Speaker 7 (20:10):
So well, you're a pro athlete, you gotta take care.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Yeah, yeah, it's right.
Speaker 7 (20:14):
You can't just beating these abilene.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Yeah, he's loading up on sugar. I'm trying to watch
my figure. Uh.
Speaker 7 (20:20):
Last week, it's still a little touchy subject with Clark's.
I lost sixty dollars on Powerball tickets. I thought I
was gonna be a billionaire, and Clark's let me down.
But when I'm in there, I mentioned earlier to start
the show, I have recently fallen in love with their
breakfast biscuit. I know that's not candy, but I cannot
shout out that sausage biscuit enough. Candy wise, though, I
don't really ever go in. I pump all the time.
(20:41):
I don't shop much unless I'm road tripping, And for
some reason, on a road trip, I always buy combos,
And I don't know why. I don't eat combos at home.
Now that's I don't think about combos. But if I'm
in a car and we stopped to get gas, and
I go in to get something, for some reason, I
grab combos under it.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (20:58):
I don't know why that's my answer.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
I've done that too. That's a great call. The pretzel
combos I think are the best ones because you got
the regular and then you got the pretzel combos with
the cheese. Those are good. That's right. That's right now
about you.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
We're both I told you mine on the pre show,
A little debut cake. Oh that's right, yeah, oatmeal cream pile,
cream pile, little Debbie cake. If you can find ones.
Got the double deckers. Oh that's it, that's the killer, right.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
So my guy's watching this figure we all know somebody
who would pick Skittles and nerd gummy clusters.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Yep. Now, Mario and I just did one of his
little videos where we had to rank like these ten
different snacks. We ranked Skittles and Starburs ninth and tent
what both of us.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Diad you got them backwards? Skills and Starburs should be
least top three, they're the bottom.
Speaker 7 (21:42):
I'd have to see one through eight on that. What
it's like your top three one?
Speaker 4 (21:47):
Uh Reache's peanut butter cup was up there, pretty high.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
What else did we have on so you're you're focusing
on chocolate over the sugar and sour stuff?
Speaker 4 (21:55):
Styes was at the bottom. Uh, but with no doubt
when Matt goes and he gets a die Coke, Skittles
and Nerd gummy clusters and then leaves the back edge
in the car eight two two eight seven, that's our
Clark coming shot phone number. I do have one pr
no and I want to give out that tomorrow. H.
Not only do you have the UK women's volleyball match
(22:17):
at three o'clock, Malachim Marino will be set up over
at Kroger Field from four to six uh, giving autographs, pictures,
kind of a meet and greet thanks to Palm miller Ford.
It's going to be actually outside Gate eleven I believe
is what it is, Gate one. I'm sorry, outside Gate one.
Malachym Reno will be there so kind of combining football
and basketball tomorrow. So you got volleyball go there first,
(22:39):
then you can go meet Malachy Marino. Then you can
go watch the football game. Dree Big Day.
Speaker 7 (22:43):
Very very cool. Good job by Paul miller Ford setting
up something like this where you can you know, you're
already tailgating, and maybe you weren't tilgating. You want to
go see malachym Reno. But giving those guys an opportunity
to be in front of the fans when they're not
so busy and it's in their season. He can go
out there and just be a fan himself.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
And so we've talked about that' where I think football
team dropped the ball this year. We didn't even know
the quarterback until media day. We had not met Shia's
pete until media day.
Speaker 7 (23:06):
We're still going media to day videos.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
Can we talk about that? Why is the UK foo
is the UK football putting that out?
Speaker 7 (23:15):
Oh? We got who he played?
Speaker 4 (23:16):
This is the greatest song in the history of music.
Will be right back. This is Kentuky Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
TJ Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
He'll make them.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Pay Now more Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Welcome back Kentucky Sports Radio, Ryan, Drew, Shannon and Mario.
We didn't even really mention the why Matt's not here.
He flies to South Africa later today. His big trip
starts today. So I don't know if we got his shoes.
He did getties. He doesn't hear about the boots. Yeah,
I haven't heard about the boots either. He did getties.
What do you call Safari pants. Did he get his
Safari shoes? I don't know.
Speaker 7 (23:52):
I'm gonna guess he's gonna be wearing Jordan's Out on.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
The Sun, probably so so.
Speaker 7 (23:56):
Before we're going further, I can't let we've been skipping
over limbs. Music kind of nailed it here with the
bourbon and beyond.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Very good.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
Well, Am, I caught Noah con out of the last break,
little lumineers here, I'm on to you. I see it,
I hear it, I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
I appreciate it all right. Time for our Draft Kings segment, Shait,
tell me about Draft Kings.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Yes, DraftKings sportsbook promo code KSR. If you're a new customer,
you sign up, you bet five dollars, You get two
hundred dollars in bonus bets and two hundred dollars off
NFL Sunday ticket on YouTube or YouTube TV. You could
do same game parlays, live betting player props. You get
fast and easy payouts. It's all there for you with DraftKings,
and we would be two for two on the KSR parlay, Ryan,
if it weren't for your awful pick yes last week
(24:36):
picking Virginia West virgin.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
West Virginia the Ohio at Ohio.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
But we're gonna redeem ourselves this week. Right now, let's
do our KSR parlay picks. Who wants to go first?
Speaker 4 (24:45):
We usually you know it's you, me, Drew and Matt
so match not here. So Mario is gonna make a pick, Marvel,
you will let you go first, and so you like.
Speaker 9 (24:55):
Start us off on a good note. I'm going LSU
and I'm going with money Line over Florida.
Speaker 7 (24:59):
Lu hmmm, love that 'll shoot home.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
That was gonna be mine, Florida's trash.
Speaker 7 (25:04):
We're gonna be Florida. Surely LSU can be Florida.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
All right, So you know, the first couple of weeks
I've been picking the late games. I'll go with a
seven o'clock game here, Virginia Tech takes on old a
menu and Virginia Tech is only a five and a
half point favorite at home. I feel like that's that's
easy money there. I'm gonna take Virginia Tech and the
five and a half.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
Oh going spread Virginia Tech l s U Drew.
Speaker 7 (25:25):
I'm not doing spread. I'm doing money Line with Mario. Uh,
just gonna get a win and get out, and I
am taking a team we just saw Old missus back
home in Oxford, their touchdown favorite against Arkansas, just.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
Taking them a win, Old Miss to win, Old Miss
to wins.
Speaker 7 (25:40):
They're gonna wake up, They're gonna do hot yoga. Uh,
They're gonna still be They're still gonna be laughing at
UK at the end of that first half. They're gonna
be in a good mood and they're gonna get a
win in Oxford.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
So oh, miss money Line, Oh, miss money Line. L
s U MI LSU money Line.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Virginia Tech minus five, minus five, yep, five and a half.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
I'm gonna go against your Vanderbilt comedy.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Oh why would you do that.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
I'm gonna take South Carolina and a minus three at
South Carolina once again.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
You're gonna screw up the parlay, is what you're telling me.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
I think this is the best pick of the four.
South Carolina only a three point favorite down in Columbia
where I got punched in the face and broke my jaw.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Yes, So you're you're gonna go with South Carolina the
fan base that punched you in the mouth, Yes, and
had your jaw wired shut for a month.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Yep. I think the Diego Pavia experiment is about to
come to a screeching halt this year.
Speaker 7 (26:27):
The team we played next week.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna see yeah exactly. South Carolina's next week.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Next week, and I am not going down there, I
hope not.
Speaker 7 (26:35):
I have going down to press charges. All right, So
we need South Carolina to cover Virginia, Text to cover
Ole Miss and Elisu to win.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
Yes, I like that. I like that. I like our parlay.
So go to Draftking KSR. Party will be up, probably
win later today today, Later today, Mario will get it
put up.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
I guess I need to read this disclaimer. Yeah, go ahead, Yeah,

Speaker 4 (27:16):
Offer all right. Governor Basher was recently on Seth Myers
like was earlier this week, I believe. And when he
was on Seth Meyers show, they talked about gen z
words because he's got a gen Z kid. I got
a gen Z kid. Mario qualifies as a gen z kid.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
We'll have a gen Z kid.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
So here's a list of words. See if Drew and
Shannon know what they mean, and then Mario will tell
us exactly what the word means.
Speaker 7 (27:39):
Okay, all right, let's feel old.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
All right, you'll you'll know some of these. The first
one lit.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Yeah, Oh, it's gonna be awesome, Like it's gonna be
the party of the year. It's gonna be lit. All right,
go touch grass, get outside of your house and go
like explore nature. Yeah, don't be like, you know, bundled
and out of your house.
Speaker 7 (28:00):
Yeah, that's due to me.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
I've never heard. That's like a walk slay oh sleigh,
Like I'm gonna I'm gonna kill it. I'm gonna slay it,
I slay.
Speaker 7 (28:12):
That's a lot of girls use that You're slaying in
your two momotability shirt and your power.
Speaker 8 (28:17):
Yeah, like I'm gonna slay slay girl, slaves like you're
killing it.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Like I'm kill with the ladies, right, yeah, ladies.
Speaker 8 (28:26):
No, it's just like slay like girls use it a lot,
like you know, it's like a comp girls use it.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Use Brian Slaid that touchdown celebration day.
Speaker 7 (28:35):
Yeah, you did so much slag.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
I'm three for three.
Speaker 7 (28:40):
I never heard of that.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Is that like your delusional?
Speaker 7 (28:43):
Yeah? I think it means you're yeah, there you go
over it.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Riz.
Speaker 7 (28:49):
You got a lot of riz.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
Yeah, like you're you know, kind of like you're bling
a little bit. You swag swag. Yeah, game game.
Speaker 10 (28:56):
You're game.
Speaker 8 (28:57):
Yeah, you're gaming the girls like you're talking to girls.
Speaker 7 (29:00):
If you were single and you were up, you know,
found someone you wanted to go approach, maybe hit her
with the how much does the polar Bear way enough
to break the ice you got?
Speaker 10 (29:11):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (29:13):
Icebreaker?
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Sus Like, I don't know about that guy, he sucks, suspect, suspect.
Speaker 7 (29:19):
That pickup line was actually little sus don't use.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
That cringe and fringe cringe. I figured what that is.
Speaker 7 (29:26):
I mean that just yeah, do you know these you're
looking at us like you're lost. You should chime in too.
Are you familiar?
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Okay, Aurora, Aura, Aura, Aura.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
I wrote down Aurora Aura, like their vibe to the aura,
like you know there you know confidence, yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Vibe. Yeah, there we go.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
And this one. We debated this for a long time
last night. Six seven six seven six seven six seven.
Speaker 9 (29:57):
I believe you. No one knows what it means. I
know that the tailing, the telling kitty, he made it up. Yeah,
it's a big TikTok tree.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Yeah, like she could be a six maybe a seven six.
You know, she's not an eight nine or ten, but
she's a six maybe seven.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
Is that what it means?
Speaker 3 (30:14):
That's what I'm going with.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
Six seven, six seven, just six point five. So if
you got another gen Z word you want these guys
to kind of track down. Shannon did quite well on those,
I think, so good job. No cap no cap to
going cap or no.
Speaker 8 (30:28):
Cap cap is like, uh, you're lying, like cap, that's
not true, and then no cap is like it's it's
basically the same thing as.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Like nock no lock.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
Yeah, no captains, I'm not lying.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Yeah, how did I do better at that than you did?
Speaker 4 (30:40):
I had the list, I knew what they were, Okay,
yeah you do?
Speaker 3 (30:42):
Did you know before?
Speaker 11 (30:43):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (30:44):
No? Eight five nine two to eighty seven. Still got
a little time to stop by here at Car's puppet shop.
I think we can say your boy from Enterprise heard
the discount where during the show you get ten cent
off each gallon of gas.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
As he bringing all the enterprises.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Bring your enterprise cars over here to fill the whole
fleet film. I mean it's a good deal. You can
bring over thirty cars, you get ten cents off a
gallon on thirty cars or whatever it is. That's a
pretty good deal. We'll do it. We got free sunglasses
we're giving away. We're gonna wat some Eric's church tickets. Tickets, yeah, dud,
we got if we didn't talk about free birds. Deviled eggs.
He brought us earlier today to tell you jelly is
(31:20):
some kind of bourbon Jlipino jelly. Yes, and you put
it on deviled egg and it's awesome.
Speaker 7 (31:28):
It's really good, right next to its division glass tex machine.
Have you been looking at that during.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
The commercial break? Okay, this last one here it says
with our poor performance, end up with less games on
the TV. That was one question I was going to
ask you some of these take.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
The film crew away like this.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
Is I think what he's saying, will be like more
no major network games were streaming games. Yeah, because some
of these games are still like listed is what they
call it, swing games where they haven't set a time
lex game. Here we go. So what do you think, Drew?
Speaker 7 (32:00):
Yeah, I mean I guess if Kentucky doesn't look good
some of these flex games, you would get the lesser
time slot than another team. But we're at a point.
I mean, they're all gonna be on TV somewhere the sec. Yeah,
so I don't. I don't think we're gonna go back
to Jefferson Pilot or any midnight replays, but we might
not get the prime time spots if we're not living
up to our end of the performance.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
I kind of miss Jefferson Pilot.
Speaker 7 (32:20):
I do too. I swear that this AI, this AI.
So we have this Jefferson Pilot, we have football games
where it's live and they're the Simpsons or what if
there's been other ones?
Speaker 4 (32:31):
Right?
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Right?
Speaker 4 (32:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (32:31):
Can I just get an AI Jefferson Pilot broadcast the
graphics Tom and the Daves and the Tom's Larry Connelly.
Do we have that technology?
Speaker 4 (32:40):
We should the technology Dave Baker doing the halftime show.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Yeah, and you don't get to watch it till eleven
o'clock that night it's on.
Speaker 7 (32:47):
Technically, set me up an alternate broadcast that is UH
put through a Jefferson Pilot nineties filter, and I'm watching
every game there.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
We'll take our final break, come back our final segments.
You got a little time to get out here where
at Clark's Puppet Shop on Nicholasville Road, just south of
Brandon Crossing by the new Long John Silvers, Ryan Drew,
Shannon and Mario. This is Kentucky Sports Radio. Will be
right back.
Speaker 12 (33:06):
We're here, Kentucky Sports Radios. This Matt Jones and the crew.
I'm in here with Shannon Drew in a beautiful day. Ryan,
tell me a little bit more about Clark's popping shock.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
Well, thanks, Matt, appreciate that we were live. That's a
terrible awful.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
And Mario, he likes to do impersonations, but he's not
good at any of them.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
I'm a little rusty. But the people that aren't here,
Mario was so excited he wanted to do his Matt
impersonation when he came back from the breaks. We let
him go. Did you let cook?
Speaker 7 (33:37):
Did you like my finger point?
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Your finger point the finger point, Yeah, you know the beauty.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
I don't think so much.
Speaker 7 (33:45):
You want to read it? A text from the text
machine meant.
Speaker 12 (33:47):
I'll see what we got here, someone says. Someone says, Matt,
you're awesome.
Speaker 4 (33:54):
You did a great job on that podcast the other night. Okay,
here is uh uh, I had a good one. Now
I can't find it.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Let does make one up?
Speaker 4 (34:04):
Oh, here it is.
Speaker 7 (34:05):
This is from Nick.
Speaker 4 (34:06):
On the Avision last Tex machine. I won't make it.
I'm gonna read it purposely. It says the Castle gift card.
Ryan is with my Wendy's gift card of the day.
There you go, and never got.
Speaker 7 (34:16):
We're still going out.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Uh. We got a lot of collars want to get
on from we get out of here. Lim So who
we got first? Miles, Miles go ahead, Miles.
Speaker 13 (34:27):
Hey, uh, good morning, lie.
Speaker 14 (34:31):
This is Miles.
Speaker 13 (34:32):
This is Miles from Van.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
Yeah, yeah, I remember. Goodness. Is good to hear from
you again, Miles.
Speaker 13 (34:43):
Yeah. And I and I was gonna and I'm gonna
say I went to uh, I went to cal Macy's
book signing last night at the Danvil Live welly and
uh and I got it and I got and awesome
(35:05):
and got the toko and in the auto glass in
my book and uh, well that's awesome and it was
Nate great.
Speaker 4 (35:17):
Thank you, Miles, appreciate the phone call. That is awesome.
Miles got to meet Cayle Matey last night. He's out
promoting his book from the Rafters.
Speaker 10 (35:24):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
I think he wrote it with Conductor Wong. I think
theyre co wrote that book. So yeah, so, uh, check
out Kyle Macy book signing near you. I guess very cool.
Speaker 7 (35:33):
You got to meet him. I remember a youngster Franklin
at Mike Phillips Camp in Madisonville and Kyle Macy made
a trip for one of the days. There's a big
deal learning how to shoot free throws from Kyle Macy.
Obviously I didn't learn, but he was trying to teach
me how to do it.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Sucks.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
First thing I do is pull up your socks right, yeah,
wipe your hands on your socks, pants, elbow.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
It was like there was like a little thing he had.
I forget what it was. Now Kyle taught you that. Yeah, Kyle, Kyle,
you just teach how to shoot free throws. Who's now?
So let's get another phone call. Who we got Gary
in Orlando, Gary in Orlando, Go ahead, Gary.
Speaker 11 (36:06):
Well, thanks for taking my call, gentlemen.
Speaker 10 (36:08):
Uh I was I tuned in this morning, and the
best thing I heard in the show the whole day
was Tracy Paully was in the room room and uh
uh Jerry was. Uh.
Speaker 11 (36:26):
When Jerry first came to Florida, he immediately found our
group in Orlando, and he added a lot to our
group in the short time he was there. And I
just want Tracy to know that we really missed her
down here. And then I wish we were all there
to give her a good hug. Yeah, and a.
Speaker 10 (36:44):
Big hug and a big Blue Nation hug.
Speaker 8 (36:47):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (36:48):
He misses you to Gary. Uh, Tracy, we know you
want to go give her hugs. Go give her a
hug if you know. Don't know the story. Her husband,
Jerry used to come to a lot of our shows.
They moved to Florida shortly have to move down there
day Jerry tragically passed away, so Tracy has since moved
back up here to Kentucky. It's great to see you again, Tracy.
You look great, and we all missed Jerry. All of
(37:09):
us do all Big Blue Nation, and you can hear
the emotion in Gary's voice meanings a lot to a
lot of people. So we all miss him, and don't cry.
He gonna make me cry. We're having a good time,
all right. Who's next? Limb's getting on the phone? Call Bruce, Bruce,
Go ahead, Bruce, Bruce, all right, all right to go
(37:32):
to another one? Liam, Who's next? Joe and Philly? Go ahead,
Joe and Philly.
Speaker 13 (37:39):
I had the music playing on a different device and.
Speaker 14 (37:44):
I didn't have to speaker on the phone by legitimately
thought that was the tape of Matt that.
Speaker 10 (37:48):
You guys made. Well done, Mario, you are mister consistent.
Speaker 8 (37:53):
You see you heard that.
Speaker 14 (37:55):
I thought that was Matt. Thank you for having the
volleyball women I coached and played for two three decades.
I really appreciate you guys doing that. If there was
a Clark's pumping shop nearby, I'd go there, I'd pump,
I'd shop.
Speaker 10 (38:12):
I hope all UK volleyball.
Speaker 14 (38:13):
Fans and fans of female and women athletics and states
go to Sport Clarks today for doing that. Well done
by you guys for having them on. They were great
and look forward to the matches tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
In this season this season, Well appreciate it, Joe. We
need to give a big shout out to the Women's
NIL Collective with uk W nineteen seventy four for helping
organize this. She Joning does that with it through the
Scott County Humane Society a lot of times through Clark's
Pumping Shop gets us access to some athletes. Aiden La
Ross has been on because of them before and now
(38:45):
today we had the volleyball girls here today.
Speaker 7 (38:47):
Yeah, we were just talking about the song here with
Clark's and you know Nil, we're all still getting used
to a big example of the volleyball Alice today coming
out here. That's exactly what I was supposed to do about.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
Yeah, their youth clinics to give out coming more popular.
That's a good reason for we do have to say
a very chaos r thing just happened here. We were
giving out Eric Church tickets. Oh yeah, yeah, so they
gave out these free sunglasses. Everybody here got free sunglasses
and then uh Rachel came out and said, okay, look
in your sunglasses. If you have the letter E on
one of the packaging, you win the Eric Church tickets.
(39:20):
Nobody nobody had the E. Went around everybody's look at
their something, and nobody had the E. Come to find it.
Finally found our friends from Hilton Head that are here
back here behind the wall, getting out of the sunshine.
Finally they had the E on their sunglasses. So somebody
did win the Eric Church tickets.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
And I believe they only came here because the wife
wanted to stop by here, and then they turned out
they want America to get the very church tickets.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
All right, eighty seven? To get another call? Liam? Who
we got Tristan, Tristan, go ahead, Tristan.
Speaker 15 (39:54):
So this is for Mario.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
Mario.
Speaker 15 (39:56):
I hear that you are interested in the symbolical sciences,
and I've got a terror reading.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
For you, Tarot ratings, Tarot card alright, go ahead, Tristan.
He's scared of this.
Speaker 15 (40:06):
I pulled two cards for you to this morning. So
the first I pulled the page of one. The way
that the way that Tarot works is playing cards are
based on Tarot, so it's a it's a number plus
the suit. So the page of ones is one of
the face cards of wand which is an action card.
So the way it applies to you is that you
are a young man who is the consumment learner, you
(40:28):
are doing amazing recover the things and you are panic.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
All right, and you're doing every right that he starts
doing the tarot and then it starts the appearance. Yeah,
but here's but.
Speaker 15 (40:40):
Here's the thing. So right, you don't really have a plan.
You're just doing good things. And you know that the
more good things you do, something eventually good will happen
for you. Now pull the second card. The second card
is the four of pinnacles and the four pinnacles of right,
and so the order where you have an opportunity. And
the question is is already going to be very comfortable
in what you're doing and stay or you're going to
(41:03):
take a step out and go and continue doing great things.
And that's what the cards are telling you. It's just
too we'll think opportunity.
Speaker 4 (41:09):
I hope you thank you.
Speaker 7 (41:10):
Wait all right, did you just tell Mario to quit KSR?
Speaker 3 (41:13):
That's not thing, So not call today that tarot. You
have a great spot here, Mario, Tarot cards spot here.
Speaker 4 (41:19):
Man. Honestly, that stuff freaks Mark.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
You're that witchcraft that was going hard with our signal
about the tarot cards all.
Speaker 9 (41:26):
The times that we broadcasted today that's when we kind
of the times like the witches trying to come get you.

our picks when we get out of here. Tomorrow it's
