This is Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Now here's Matt Jones, Nay Ladies.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
And gentlemen, boys and girls, Grandpa's and grandma's, aunts and uncles,
and welcome to Kentucky Sports Radio. Ryan Lemon, Shanna Dude,
and Super Mario Maitland here and we are broadcasting live
today Main Street in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, where they just
started the Hunger Walk Christian Appalachian Project hosting their fourteenth
annual Hunger Walk. And Shannon, they just started it right
(00:58):
before we kicked off the show. And there's like thirteen
hundred walkers right now right behind us doing the Hunger Walk.
It's kind of impressive.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah, it is, and it's for a great cause, as
you pointed out there, and I got stuck behind this.
We talked about this on the pre show a few
minutes ago, but I got stuck behind this big parade
and almost didn't make it here because of the Hunger Walk.
I didn't know they were going to start at eight
thirty in the morning, but here they are, and we're
right here on Main Street. And there's three other ones
going on throughout Kentucky today as well.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Right, Yeah, McCreary County has theirs today, Jackson County, and
then there's also one in Fayette County for LCA, so
you kind of hear them walk behind us. A lot
of the rock Castle County student body came out to
support the walk. We're all wearing the orange shirts. Oranges
the color to help fight hunger, A lot of orange,
a lot of orange. So they're also collecting critical funds
nonperishable food items to support vulnerable communities in Kentucky. That's
(01:47):
what the Christian Apple Echrian Project is all about. The
Hunger Walk had just kicked off and you can still help.
I mean, we're gonna take throughout the show. Wage you
can help. But it's right now, the walk walking right
behind us here on Main Street.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
Yo, go ahead, Mario, this is so cool man, Like,
have you got have you guys, ever done like a
walk or I know you didn't.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
I don't want to make this about me, but yeah,
I have done a fifty mile walk.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
I never I never knew that about you. Yeah, so
this little walk around downtown was probably nothing for you.
Want you just jump right in there.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Good, But you know, I feel like I have to
be here to help, you know, carry the show with you.
Speaker 6 (02:20):
Guys. You can hip there.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Here's here's here's what's sad, and we'll get to the show.
We got to tell you why we're down here. One
in five children goes hungry every day in Appalachia in Kentucky.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
When I read that this morning, I was like, wow,
I had no idea. That is an eye opening stat
when you hear that. It and it is really sad
that there are there.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Are a lot of kids where the only meal they
eat all day is this school.
Speaker 6 (02:48):
That is terrible. We gotta do something about that, man.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Well that's what the Christian Appalachian Project is all about.
Trying to do this. You can donate today by visiting
christianapp dot org. That's christianapp dot org. So we are
our lives. I'm here in Mount Vernon. We don't do
too many shows from Mount Vernon, Kentucky. We did want
at the farm to Table restaurant a couple of years
ago around the corner. What's the name of that restaurant,
the farm to Table Restaurant and something. I'll tell us what.
(03:12):
I have no idea, but I think that was it.
I think that's the only show we've ever done down
here in Mount Vernon.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah, and I don't even know if I was here
for that one. So this might be my first one here.
And it's a beautiful part of the state. By the way,
if you've never been down here before, what do you
think of?
Speaker 4 (03:24):
One of the guys, When I tell you Mount Vernon
or rock Castle County, and I tell you what, I'll
tell you what I think of immediately, what do you
guys think?
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Well, I'll tell you I was doing a little research
on Mount Vernon. Yeah, I didn't know this until yesterday.
Do you realize the city I live in, Mount Washington
originally was Mount Vernon, And they changed the name from
Mount Vernon to Mount Washington.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
And then I think they, maybe I don't know if
it was after the fact, then changed the name of
this town to Mount Vernon.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
So the the.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
People, the people of Mount Vernon basically a lot strong.
They strong armed you guys in Mount that.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
What it was.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
We wanted to be tied into George Washington. I got
you Mount Vernon, Well, we want Mount Washington. That's what
it was.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Mount Vernon was his home, George Washington's home.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
I mean, do you not remember our bullet County day
that we highlighted everything about Mount Washington And I told
you that Mount Washington was called that because George Washington
loved the town so much. They called it Mount washing was,
which may or may not be true. Sometimes I just
make things.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
But what do you think of when you think of
Mount Vernon or Rockcastle County.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
I don't know much about Mount Vernon.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
I know pretty much is a small town, and that
usually in Kentucky, all the small towns kind of look alike.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
That's what I've noticed.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Have you ever seen like a Hallmark movie? Oh you
have like the downtown. Yes, that's not like every small
town in Kentucky kind of.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Go to be shot right here in Mount Vernon.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
It's beautiful, that is true. Yeah, it is very Hallmarky.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
I think of Renfro Valley though we were talking a
little on the pre show as well, the country musicians
from the eighties and nineties that play in this area,
so that that's also one of the other things I
think about it when I think about Mount Vernon.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
What are they holding They have these trades in there.
What is the trades for?
Speaker 3 (04:57):
I think it's for food. Oh, that's why it's a
hunger walk.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Okay, I guess are they picking up their donations? They're
going to give it all to Christian Appalatrian Project when
the walk is over. Now, like we had the high
school kids, now we're in elementary school kids that are
walking past us right now, and there's a bunch more
coming up the street. But I'll tell you what I
think of when I think of Mount Vernon and rock
Castle County, And this is kind of unfair, but it's
just what I think of. Yeah, awful traffic on I
(05:20):
seventy five. I mean, this is where the traffic always
backs up. This is where there's always a wreck, This
is where there's always construction the two Mount Vernon exits
in rock Castle County. You come up on them and
you just hold your breath trying to get through it.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Well, I wasn't going to complain about the traffic, but
I came down here last night and there was construction
for what felt like about one hundred miles coming down here.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
It's always under construction out here in Mount Vernon.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
It should have taken me about two hours turned into
about three hours because I got out of the GPS.
You know, you get on the GPS, the cheapest it goes,
hey take your route over here. So I go, okay,
let's take the back roads. We'll get there, you know,
a little bit quicker. And I go off of the
back road and there is a police car that is
blocking both lanes and I'm sitting in traffic again for
another thirty minutes.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
So it took me a long time to get here
last night.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Well, like I said, this stretch of I seventy five
in rock Castle County seems to have been under construction
for thirty fifty years. Thirty fifty years and it just
never stopped. Hello there. But you mentioned renfol Valley. Some
of the top music, Country music stars of our lives
have performed over there at Renfro Valley.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
If you were a country music star from the eighties,
their nineties, the long Forgotten era, you either played at
Renfro Valley or you're.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Going to steer about to play there coming out.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
As I was telling you during the pre show, there's
a lot of Well, Sammy Kershaw we just talked about,
who played the Kentucky State Fair is going to be
coming into Renfro Valley with Aaron Tip and Colin Ray,
Kentucky Headhunters.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
A bunch of those eighties and nineties music heard of me?
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Those guys, No, I've never heard of them. I've never
heard of one person that you guys just mentioned.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
I bet we could find one person that's performed at
renfro Valy that Mario has heard of. At least there's somebody,
because they usually get the big stars to come in.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Mario is so young, and that's see.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Having Mario on the show just makes me remember how
old I am. Yeah, because he doesn't know we were
talking about nineties musicians and nineties bands and he hadn't
heard of I think half of them.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Ac DC, I played Stone Tipple pilots for them, and
he thought it was ac DC.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
No matter, no matter what rock song I play for Mario,
his stock answer is it's like the only rock band
that he knows from, you know, longer than ten years ago.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Well, they're still kind of relevant. They play them at
a lot of games ac DC. So, Uh, the Kentucky
Music Hall of Fame is over there at Renfro Valley.
They always have a big ceremony every year. I think
the judges were just inducted or recently or maybe why
not one of the judge, but it seems like I
remember that being part of it. So it's kind of
a cool little area down here that kind of gets
forgotten about. And also somebody reminded me I think it's
(07:46):
like one of only three counties that is not named
after a person. Oh really, Bath County, rock Castle County,
and I don't know the other one. It might be
Union County, Okay. But I think there's three counties in
Kentucky that aren't named after person. So somebody can help
us out.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Maybe in uh Katuck, we like Washington and Lincoln. Yeah,
everything everything is Lincoln. Everybody tries to claim Lincoln as
if you were their own. You know there's a Lincoln
Bridge and Lincoln County and Lincoln this linking that so
everybody wants a piece of Lincoln.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
That's funny you said this. I have this on my
list of questions. I just saw it. Go cats, somebody
just yell, go cats cats. What cities are there are
the most of the United States? Like what towns are
named the most after a certain person in the entire
United States?
Speaker 6 (08:30):
To three cities not not streets? Cities? Okay, I know streets.
I got an answer for streets.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Well, I would say Lincoln would probably be one.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
I don't think it's one of the top three.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Oh it's not, okay, Washington, Washington is number one by
far Kennedy.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
No, no streets.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
I know Martin Luther King Junior City.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Every city, especially every large metro areas kind of Martin
Luther King Boulevard.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
You might as well just give me the answer because
I'll be here all day.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Well, the number three is another historical figure, but not
a a president. Not a president on the one hundred
dollar bill.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
I don't have enough one hundred dollars bills even. No
Benjamin Franklin, Benjamin Franklin.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
No, just Franklin, just Franklin. Washington's number one, Franklin's number three.
And I always every time Matt asked these questions, I
always guess Springfield because it was a Springfield and every stay.
Springfield's number two. So Washington's number one, Springfield number two,
and Franklin was number three on this list of most
common city names in the United States. So kind of
funny you mentioned that I had it on the list
to day to talk about. All Right, we're gonna take
(09:29):
our break, We're gonna the phone lines will be open.
It's kind of gonna be one of these shows where
anything can happen because we've got a bowl up here.
We've asked all the people in attendance to submit a question.
We're gonna randomly draw out of this bowl and answer
the question that they've We have no idea. Everybody here
and a little nervous.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Yeah. I saw you during the pre show going around
with a bowl.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
I thought you were taking to like an offering, like
we were at a church, and instead of you know, offerings,
he was handing out pieces of paper and pens.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
And we've got some questions that we question.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
We don't know what in that bowl, no idea any
but if you come to the show today you can
write a question down and we'll try to answer them.
Also the phone lines, will we open the Clark's Pumping
Shop phone numbers eight five nine two A two two
eight seven. Of course every Kentucky's port radio sponsored by
the T J. Smith Office called TJ an.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
It'll make them pay.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
You'll absolutely make them pay. A vision glass Tex machine
is up and alive today. It's it's you know, you
know the number, Shannon.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
I don't know a number. I don't know the number
five O.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
Two, Yes, what's five for zero plus two seven seven?
What's the rest of it? Three?
Speaker 6 (10:28):
A lot of threes in it.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Thirty five thirty five, thirty six thirty six eight eighty eighty.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Right, yeah, I'll put it all together because nobody comprehended that.
I'm sure that's listening.
Speaker 6 (10:39):
Yeah, I don't think.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Coach good to see about it? Five thirty six eighty
Rockcaster County football coach coach Larky right there, so uh
we'll take our break come back. It's eight five nine
two A two two eight seven. It's the Clarks Pumping
Shop phone number. Were live in Mount Vernon this is
Kentucky's Ports Radio. There you go some Kentucky head hunters
that they've probably been in Renfro Valley.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
No, they are, I listed them.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
I go say the groups like that probably perform regularly
over at Renfo Valley. It's kind of a hidden gym
in Kentucky. Really, welcome back to con Sports Radio, Ryan Lemon,
Shann and the dude, Mario Maitland. We got Liam running
the controls today. Matt of courses in South Africa. He's
been posting some stuff on Instagram. It seems like he's
doing well. This is his week of his fellowship and
then next week he starts his kind of his vacation
(11:23):
over there where he's going to do the Safari. Yeah,
that's what most of us want to hear about.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
You know, I need an update on how he's doing
with this group of women.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
That'll happen next week with the Safari. Okay, yeah, right now,
he's part of his fellowship group and he's been posting
some stuff. You be able to keep up with that
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
I did see Mario's video that he posted. Uh, I
guess it was from the NFL show where Matt was
talking about going across the street to get you and
talking about how he needed a chaperone just to walk
across the street there.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
I love that video because I can literally envision Matt
like I can. I can picture Matt in that situation.
I'm like, Oh, Matt's not going for this. He's not
going to let somebody go with them across the street.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Well, I mean, if you're in that situation where you
don't know where you're at and you don't know your
surroundings and somebody asks you, do you need security? They're
asking you probably for a good reason. Yeah, yeah, So
I think in his mind he thought, well, you know,
maybe they're just trying to.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Get a ten meet it. Mario is really bad.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
I don't know. But Matt, Matt knows more than the internet.
We've heard that, so he's he said that to us before.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
We've heard that.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
So you know, people down there maybe know a little
more about the security issues going on down there than
maybe Matthew does. Maybe he should listen to him a
little bit.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
I'm thinking, yeah, and you think that's actually going to happen.
Have you met Matt? I just don't know that getting
strawberry yogurt would be worth risking my life for.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Yeah, he's a big strawberry guy.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Yeah. So all right, eight five, nine, two to eighty seven.
That's our car's pumpingshot. Phe Numer. We're gonna take your
call today. We got some questions, random question out of
the bowl. We're gonna draw probably one segment. We'll do
that a minute, but we did, Shannon I did talk
about it on the pre show. Something I want to
talk to you about, Mario the Cutter Bowly era. Bye
week going down to South Carolina next Stoops not the
greatest coming off of bye week. What are your thoughts
(13:03):
concerns about where the program is this week and going
into South Carolina then next week?
Speaker 5 (13:08):
I think Mark Stoops Yeah, usually doesn't do well after
the bye week.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
He doesn't.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
He doesn't.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
What's the record, Channing like six and ten overall, five
and nine in sec games.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Wow, South Carolina's quarterback is hurt, right, Yes, that right?
So I'm I'm I'm trusting Cutter Bowley and what he
can do. I'm trusting our defense. We definitely got to
improve on that side. No, last time we played Eastern
Michigan had you know, a few bad mistakes at the.
Speaker 6 (13:32):
End of the first half.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
I'm gonna trusting more of our defense, And like I said,
I'm I'm sticking with Cutter Bowley. I know they don't
have their quarterback South Carolina. It's gonna be a tough
environment because South Carolina is it's a different it's a
different animal down there. But like I said, Stups has
a chance. It's a big chance for him to really
kind of turn the page in terms of the fan base,
the big test for Cutter Bowley as well.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
So Shannon, do you can take the numbers where he's
bad coming off of bye week or you take the
numbers where he's like one eight of the last eleven
against South Carolina? Which way do you lean a little
little bit?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I think there is something to be said for the
bad record after a bye week. I think that shows
a lot in how you prepare. And we talked a
little bit on the pre show. He's going to change
things up a little bit this week. They're going to
go heavy in the weight room, they're going to go
heavy in practice. They're not going to really take this
as a true week off. So I think that that
right there shows that he's willing to make some adjustments
(14:22):
and hopefully we're going to see the result of that
be a win against South Carolina. And talking about Sellers,
he's questionable, so that means fifty to fifty. Maybe he'll play,
maybe he won't. That really doesn't tell us one way
or the other what's going to what it's going to
look like for South Carolina when they get on the
field with their offense. But again, if you look back
at that Vandi game this past weekend, they laid out
the blueprint on how you beat the South Carolina tea.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
So the way I look about stupid changing his philosophy
during his by week, though anything can help, why not
try it? Why not try to go heavy prepared this week? Now,
don't give your guys rest, don't play a lot of
second team guys prepares. If you've got a game this weekend,
it's one game. Go heavy this week, and of course
you got game week next week. It can't it can't
(15:05):
hurt Mario.
Speaker 6 (15:06):
No, I don't think it can hurt, man.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
I don't know, Like I feel like, like, what were
they doing in the past, Like obviously.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
I think he was like giving the starters a rest.
Let them He'll say, rest them by week, play a
lot of number twos during the week of practice, and
then pick them back up next week.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
If your mark stoops, though, I mean, you're going into
this season whether or not his seat is actually hot
or not, it is something that is perceived to be
hot by fans because fans obviously weren't weren't very happy
with the way that last season happened. So if your
mark stoops, you got to throw everything against the wall.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
I think this yeah, this game.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
So anything you can to to mix things up a
little bit, fire your guys up, you gotta try it.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
We'll know about Sellers probably this weekend South Carolina plays Missouri.
If he's held out, I guess then the questions really
ramp up for game week from Kentucky going down there.
But they're a different team without him. They they could
not do anything against Vandy after he got hurt.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah, I mean it was seven to seven when he
got injured, and then at that point they brought in
their backup quarterback, and that's when Fanny just took advantage
of them. And you know, I think it's only fair
if they're gonna play their backup, if we're gonna play
our backup quarterback.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
They should have to play their backup quarterback. It's only fair.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
I like our backup quarterback maybe better than their backup quarterback.
What we haven't really talked to you about one of
your thoughts about what Cutter bowlies. The Cutter Bowly era
is underway.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
No, I'm a fan of him. I'm a fan of him.
I got a chance to talk with him in June.
I believe that he came on my podcast. Man, he's
a he's not really like all about him him him like,
he's not a He cares about his teammates. He has
good energy, and he's super super confident. He likes he
likes playing football. He's in love with the game. You
can tell that when you watch him when he's on
(16:38):
the field. He looks like he's actually having fun out there.
I love the fact that he likes to throw deep
balls and you know, take that risk. Kind of a
little bit different than Kyle Zada. But other than that, man,
I like Cutter as a person. I think he's a
good dude, and you know, he has a lot of
promise for his future.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
All Right, we're gonna get our first question out of
the question. Bowl's good here has written a question. This
could be dangerous picking one of you guys pick a
question out. We will just take turns and we're getting
this sea. No, just we'll just do one segment. Shannon's
got the first one. What's your question, Shannon?
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Did Lamar Wilkerson commit?
Speaker 6 (17:07):
But this is Ryan.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Here's the story. I got that that night before he
told the Kentucky guys I'm coming. The next morning, Indiana
made uh an offer that was better than what he
got from Kentucky. Money was better, and I think they
also offered, like somebody with his circle, a coaching position
or position on their staff. So overnight it switched. That
(17:33):
next morning then he went to Indiana because they came
up with a better offer. So I think we had
him for like maybe what eight or nine hours, and
then the next morning. That's the thing I've learned about
recruit man. He's eighteen, nineteen, twenty year old kids. They
changed their mind overnight. You know, We've seen it happen
a lot of time. You commit to somebody, then the
next morning like nope, I'm flipping. I'm switching somebody else.
So you put your your name out there. I did.
(17:55):
I felt good about it.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Put your reputation on the line, and then he flipped
yep and made you look bad.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
He did.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
So does that make you proceed with caution in the
future when it comes to maybe scooping, you know, being
scoop lemoned Io.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
This may sound crazy, but it doesn't because I trusted
the source. The information was good at the time. So
we went on with KSR that he was committed to Kentucky.
By time KASR was over, he had flipped and committed Indians.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
So you are one hundred percent confident in that moment
in that all in on Kentucky. Yeah, But then somebody
you know, brought in a suitcase full of money in
seid here.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
What do you think now?
Speaker 4 (18:30):
And I think a lot of it was just offering
that somebody within the circle a spot on the staff.
I think that played a big part of it.
Speaker 6 (18:35):
So it was his dad something.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
I can't remember if he's his dad or his uncle
or a I don't really don't remember who it was,
but somebody within his his circle. So that's our first
question out of the question bowl one of eight, five, nine, two,
two eighty seven. We're here in Mount Vernon the Christian
Appalachian Project Hunger walk. They just walked past us. Thirteen
hundred people, a lot of students, high school kids, elementary
kids doing the Hunger walk, one of four hunger walks
(18:57):
in Kentucky today.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
Are they coming back around or he's just doing it
around the city.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
I think he's doing around the city and then when
they go by the school, the kids will go back
to class.
Speaker 6 (19:05):
Okay, cool, But.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
You know we were all wearing orange. They all wore orange.
It's not a Tennessee orange. No, it's the Hunger Walk orange.
It's almost like it's a Halloween orange.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
It's for red orange.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Yeah, that's right. Yeah, so we wear orange for the show.
Maybe that's the only time we ever wear orange, but
we can do it in the show eight nine two
two eight seven.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Just for these these two hours here.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
Orange.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
I want to go back to football for a second.
A stat that we haven't talked about that I think
is kind of underreported. Kentucky's been in the red zone
fifteen times. They've scored fourteen of the fifteen times in
the red zone, not even with cal Zada at quarterback.
That what what what do you give credit to?
Speaker 2 (19:45):
That to what were we talking when you say score?
Were including phield goals, correct field goals or touchdowns. Fourteen
out of fifteen times they've got being disciplined and not
getting any penalties, because the most frustrating way to not
score when you're in the red zone is is by
you know, just unnecessary penalty. So that tells me that
they are discipline offensively at least when they're in the
(20:07):
red zone and not getting unnecessary penalties to take them
out of the red zone and able to score a bout.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
You Mario, I feel like last year we had an
issue with that, didn't we You're kind of like in
the red zone, we never really you.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Know, turnovers, bows, a lot of different things happened last.
Speaker 5 (20:21):
Year, turnovers, and this year it looks like they've improved
on that. I'll say, I'll tell you one thing there's
from last year to this year. Offensive line is a
little bit better. Defense is a little bit better. I
think offensive lines a lot of bit yeah yeah. And quarterback,
I mean our backup quarterback, Cutter bow Lee and then
Zach Cozata. They're very close in terms of like talent.
Cutter is probably a little bit better in my opinion,
(20:42):
but we didn't have that last year. So I think
when you think about a big picture, we've improved on
a lot of things for Kentucky football.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
What I give credit to their success in the red
zone is the offensive line because they've been able to
run the football. They've been giving you a lot of
push up front, run the football, move the chains, get
closer to a touchdown or an extra point or a
field goal. So I running game, an offensive line I
think played a big part of this.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
I think that South Carolina game coming up, as you
sort of alluded to earlier, that is a crazy atmosphere.
I would expect it to be run heavy, especially early
in the game, to sort of get picture Cutter is comfortable.
I don't think you want to come out and have
him just slinging the ball all over the field. You know,
early in the game, maybe get get the run game established,
get Cutter comfortable, and then at that point, maybe in
the second half, let them let him do his thing.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
You got to think Cutter last year his three games
were at Florida, that's a tough situation at Texas, and.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
He played well at Texas.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
He did so he's been in three tough environments already
on the road at the swamp On the road at
Texas and then the big rivalry game against the.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Law, And that's why I feel like it was a
great time.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
I mean, again, you don't ever want to see your
starting quarterback go down with an injury, but if it
were going to happen, that Eastern Michigan game is the
perfect opportunity to get him in there against the really
bad team, to build his confidence up, to get them comfortable.
And I thought that he looked both confident and comfortable
against the Eastern Michigan.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Get his feet wet. He's got two weeks here to
go with the in practice to get ready for South Carolina.
Tough environment down there. To me, I said this on
the pre show. I think it's one of the best
environments in the SEC.
Speaker 6 (22:06):
You got knocked out.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
I did get knocked out after the game, but during
the game it was it was really kind of cool.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
Walking me through it because I've always heard this story
like what happened, Like, were you just talking and somebody
just knocked you out?
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Or it was it was after the game. We're walking
to our car, we've left the stadium. We met Dane
the team bus said hi to him walking to our car,
So it's long after the game's over. We have to
pick it up after that. There's your cliffhanger. There's your cliffhanger.
Ryan Lemon, Mario, Maitland, Shannon Dude. Phone lines were open
eight two two, eight seven. We'll bright back. This is

Kazeky Sports Radio.
Speaker 6 (22:44):

Speaker 1 (22:44):

Speaker 6 (22:47):
He'll make them.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Pay now more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Here's Matt Jones.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
All right, welcome back, Ryan Lemon, Shannon Dude, Mario, o'mitland here.
We are live in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. The Christian Apple
Project hunger walk was this morning. They had four hunger
walks across the state try to raise us some money
and some funds for some some families in Appalachia that
desperately needed the hunger walk. We're here at Community Trust
Bank on Main Street. Commit Trust make a big sponsor
(23:13):
to the Christian Appalachian Project. So uh, thank you to
them for helping helping do that. We got our orange
shirts on because orange is the color fighting hunger. It's
just when when we had the stat that one in
five children go hungry each day, Entucky. That's that's sad.
That's that kind of hit.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Me more than anything that really opens your eyes.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
And let me just point out till you can go
to christianapp dot org slash hunger walk. If you're not
here and you can't be here to physically donate, you
can always go to our website christian app dot org
slash hunger WARF.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
So I pick up Mario this morning to head down here,
we immediately go to McDonald's.
Speaker 6 (23:45):
Let me tell you about his McDonald's trip.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Sh hey, tell you we have to go to McDonald's
first thing. Every time I get you, we go.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
To go to McDonald's. Gets his Uh was it French
Manila ice coffee?
Speaker 4 (23:54):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Great way, great way to start the very healthy not
have very healthy breakfast anyways, two thousand calories.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
But on the app it's only a dollar.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
So yeah, well you drink that every morning every single
morning we go into the job, We're going to McDonald's, right,
and Ryan's in a good mood.
Speaker 6 (24:09):
I'm like, hey, how's your date last night? How to go?
He's like, oh, it was good, it was good.
Speaker 5 (24:14):
It's like awesome, man, Let's go to McDonald's, you know
the usual. That's where we go and he's in such
a good mood to drive through line is there's no
one in the drift through line, so that makes him
super happy.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
I'm like, what a day, What a day, what a day?
Nobody to drive through line.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
He gives his order, he gets his sausage McMuffin with
his French vanilla iced coffee. He goes around, you know,
he he greets the lady who gives him the super nice,
super nice lady. He gets his sandwich, saying with Shannon,
and he's eating it. He takes his second bite and
the sandwich falls on the floor. Yeah, I've never seen
(24:48):
Ryan that upset. I spent a lot of time with Ryan,
but I've never seen him that upset.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I already know what happens from here. There's no way
Ryan just lets it perfectly good sausage, sausage mcmuffett just
go to waste.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Well, there's more to the story. So the sandwich falls
in the floor in the car format.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Where you got like.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
And dog hair, dog dog hair everywhere, every everywhere.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
But the sandwich fell into the bag. I mean it
fell right into the McDonald's bag. You know it's gonna
perfectly and tell you know it's gonna be a good day.
What kind of day am I having? My McDonald's sandwich
falls in the bag, there was no line, and I
had a little pow chick out that last.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
Kids that listened to the show, right, come on.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
So that's three boom chicken pow wows we've already had
this morning.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
But the good luck I'm having today cancels out the
bad luck I had yesterday?
Speaker 6 (25:44):
What happened yesterday?
Speaker 3 (25:45):
I thought everything was good with you and yoga girl.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Before we went out of her on her birthday date
last night? Yeah, I got another speeding ticket.
Speaker 6 (25:51):
You got a speeding thing.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
You're in such a hurry to see her?
Speaker 4 (25:55):
You got a speeding till I was so excited to
get our Vinch started going to Rodney's restaurant. I got
a speeding ticket right in front of the airport, like
in between Keenland and the airport, right there. He got me, Well,
there goes your endorsement for the Kentucky Department of Highway
and Safety.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
You can't be doing that, Ryan, What are you doing?
Speaker 6 (26:10):
What happened?
Speaker 4 (26:11):
I wasn't paying attention. I was coming back from for sales,
not paying a lick of attention. He got me for
seventy one and fifty five. He was thinking about yoga girl,
thinking about the big date plans coming up.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
So you are, man, that's.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Gotta be like my thirtieth speeding ticket. I mean, I'm
not kidding you. He does. You don't drive fast though
I know what I was. I just spaced out. I
wasn't paying attention.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
And hey, I'll tell you what. He spaces out a lot.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
One time were that ain't good if you're driving.
Speaker 5 (26:36):
One time we were in Cincinnati for We'll come back
from the reds Gate and it was a red light
and I'm pretty sure Ryan's seen it, but he's just
spaced out and he's just driving and I'm not going
to say anything to him. And He's going about forty
five miles per hour and there's a car at the
other intersection.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
In the middle of the intersection, Ryan is.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
About to run the red light, about to kill me
and my life, And go like, what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Right? You're a brain, are spacing a brave man?
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Actually allowing him to drive you around? Like if you
two were coming down, you should have been the driver.
You should have been driving Ryan.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
I enjoy his car rides. He's funny, funny guy.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
I mean like I've actually been in the car with
him too when he got a speeding ticket. Oh you
have a few years ago, do you remember that?
Speaker 3 (27:13):
No?
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Oh yeah, yeah, you were in the car with me.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
Yes, it was one of those KSR saved summer driving cars.
Speaker 6 (27:20):
You don't remember?
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Heyving so safely. He got a speeding ticket the car
the cop wanted to pull him over and compliment. I
want to how great of a driver.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Here's here's what stinks. In a couple of months. The
last ticket I got was gonna fall off my record.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
It's right back there now.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
The clock just starts again, right, you.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Gotta be twelve months of good driving.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
I think I'm gonna go to defensive driving school to
get my points back.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
You should be the teacher of that class that this.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Will be the seventh time I've went to defensive driving
You already know I'm a six time graduate of defensive
driving school. This one the seventh time I've never gotten
You have to go to get your points back? Are
you gonna, you know, keep your my insurance at least
being somewhat reasonable. It's ridiculously high right now.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
So you've got six Diplomas of Defensive Driving Class.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
Okay, let's move on eight five nine two two eight seven.
Let's just get a call up and we'll draw our
next question. Who we got limb Rob and Harlan, Rob
and Harlan go ahead, Rob.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Hey, gentlemen, good morning. Just got a quick question and
then I'll hang up with you. Guy's answer.
Speaker 4 (28:16):
Now, realistically, Kentucky could very well lose every game for
the rest of the season. But here's Marques no No,
come on, I mean, beat Tennessee Tech.
Speaker 6 (28:30):
Okay, but but if this happened, but they beat Tennessee,
do they still keep stoops?
Speaker 4 (28:38):
So even if they lost, we're saying that they're saying
that they just beat Tennessee Tech and Tennessee does that
save his job? He didn't four and eight one sec win?
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Yeah, I mean I I don't think that.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
I don't think back to back four wins season.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
I don't think Barnhart would get rid of them though,
because of that buyout number one. That's a big factor
in it. Now, if he won three, I think you'd
have to see three. You know what, that's just completely
number and four is not acceptable. So don't get me wrong.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
The schedule it's the schedules is tough, man, it is,
but it's never gonna get easier.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
No, it's not.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
And we're about to go to nine games in the SEC,
so it won't get any easier. But if he were
to get four this year, I would say he would
still get one more year and then and then after that.
If it happens, then then it's over.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
Depends on how he loses too, Like if he's just
getting like people are coming in there and just like
blowing us out, then all right.
Speaker 6 (29:31):
If it's like he's competitive in these games, then like.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
Okay, Like you know, last year they only won four,
but they had Georgia on the ropes. They had a
chance to beat Georgia couldn't close the deal. So Tennessee
many considered to be a playoff bound team this year.
If they're able to beat Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
You know, I'm still optimistic about this team.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
I really am.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I mean, I haven't seen anything other than like the
poor in game management, you know, during the Old Miss game.
We're only three games in, so I haven't really seen
anything that would make me think that the wheels are
going to completely fall off for this team. So I
still feel like it's very, very doable to get the
six wins.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
What's the stat the last eleven SEC home games, they've
only won three. They're like three and eight in their
last eleven SEC home games.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
It was like two, we won two games.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Yeah, whatever it does, it's not good. But I mean
this team, I still believe that they can turn this
thing around. And I believe even more now with Cutter Bowley,
that this this could be a good team, A good
team compared to what we were talking about going into
the season. You know a lot of people were saying
four and eight.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Right, you done?
Speaker 6 (30:35):
Yeah, I think he's done.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Yeah, I'm done.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
We got to go to the Bowl. All right, Murray,
you asked question right here. Yeah, you pull out your
next The next question submitted by people here in the audience.
They you know, they never get a participate in our show.
They come out to watch the show and then get a participate.
So we've got a question here for him. What's this one?
Speaker 6 (30:49):
Okay? Did I'm trying to read the handwriting here? Did
Oscar have a vision of losing to Saint.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Peter's So he said he did, Well, it wasn't it?
Was it a vision of losing to safe or a
vision of a plane crash or something.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
Okay, well, well that does kind of sound familiar. He
did have some kind of vision of catastrophe disaster right
before the Saint Peter's game.
Speaker 6 (31:09):
Wasn't he like on a plane or something like that?
And is that what happened.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
I'm kind of a shited I think it had to
do with the plane crash.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Yeah, I don't think it was anything to do with
Saint Peter's. I think it was like some sort of tragedy. Yeah,
like if I'm on the team and I hear that,
I'm going I don't know if I want to go.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
And I think it was like the night before they
played Saint Peter.
Speaker 5 (31:27):
I don't know if it was like he was on
a plane and they're flying and then he freaked out.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
I don't I don't know. I've heard multiple stories. I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
I think that was sort of along the lines of
what it was, having a I guess vision.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
Or something like bloom and doom disaster. Well, I remember Matt,
I forget who Matt said. Is somebody told him before
the game? Cal looks scared to death?
Speaker 3 (31:48):
Oh yeah, yeah, so something about his iron eagle who
was it was, that's who I've never seen Calsow uptight?
Why is he uptight?
Speaker 4 (31:56):
What's going on for Saint Peter's I think maybe Oscars,
He probably reminition maybe kind of spooked him a little bit.
Speaker 6 (32:03):
He got a vision.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
He is a bad aura around that entire dude.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
I still can't believe they lost to Saint Peter's broke
when even be thinking about it now, How and then
the world do they lose to Saint Oakland?
Speaker 3 (32:13):
I thought that team was Jack Golkie, they'd have a
household name.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Why not put somebody to stop that same play? They
kept running the pick and let him throwing up.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
That was That was the most damning thing about Cali
Perry that I had heard from anybody. And that's when
we had Remember it was the part of my take. Guys, Yeah,
we're filling in on KSR. And they had Jack Golki,
uh just the troll, all the Kentucky fans yep, And
Jack Golkie said, I thought that they would make some
sort of switch or some sort of adjustment, adjustment, and
and that that never happened, never happened, and he just
(32:43):
went off on Kentucky and Oakland beats Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
When the guy hitting all the threes admits they didn't
do anything. He didn't make any adjustments, any changes or nothing.
Speaker 6 (32:51):
Yep, great coaching job.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Don't you think if he'd come across the screen one
time somebody just put an elbow right in his chest
knock him to the floor, maybe he would think a
little twice about coming off that pick and jacking up
another three.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Like of all the criticisms I've heard of Caliperry Jack
Golkie on the show that day, I think that was
the biggest.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
Dude, I still can't believe they lost Saint Peter's on Oaklean.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
I just can't believe we had a good team that year.
Totati Washington, who.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Was well the the lost the game they lost to Oakland.
They had a good team.
Speaker 6 (33:16):
Yeah, that team was even better. Yep.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
Okay, thanks for depressing me all right? Eight five nine
two Whitto two too eight seven Clark Pubably Shop phone

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Now you didn't finish the South Carolina story where you
got sucker punched. You said you were gonna finish it.
We never got the the ending of it, So tell
us how that happened.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
Okay, the game was over. We met Dane at the bus,
talked to him for a minute, and then we're walking
to our car, so we're away from the stadium. We
come up to an intersection and there's a group of
paternity guys, maybe five or six of them, and they
start mouthing about we've got our blue on and they
started making fun of Dane's mom and Dane's grandma on,
like really making fun of them. So we kind of
(35:50):
stepped in like get him to calm down. Then there're
being some pushing, some shoving, some mouthing. I literally remember
I got in the middle between a couple guys and
like to have my hands that you can't see me.
He kind of separate him and I never saw him.
Came from my blind side, my left side, hit me
right in the face. Next thing I know, I'm on
the ground. I didn't I never saw him. I didn't
know what happened.
Speaker 6 (36:08):
To break it up.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
I literally have my hands like this got knocked out.
Damn I'm out.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Were you physically pushing them?
Speaker 4 (36:15):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Okay, Yes.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
Here's the interesting thing about this story. The more and
more you tell it, the more physical you get.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Because I thought the first time you said you didn't
touch anybody and say anything.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
I think I did. Like I was okay, get away,
get away.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
See, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
I thought you were completely But the dude I have
my hands on didn't hit me with some dude from
over here.
Speaker 6 (36:38):
Yeah, don't matter.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Still shouldn't have happened. He still should not have.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
So next thing, I know him on the ground and
I get up, and I guess the police officer WI
talked to me and I said I was fine. I'm
not gonna give him the satisfaction. Think he hurt me.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
I would if I would have prosecuted that guy to
the fullest.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
I have no memory of talking to police officer at all.
Speaker 6 (36:52):
Are you bleeding or anything? No?
Speaker 3 (36:53):
No, So do you have any lingering effects?
Speaker 4 (36:56):
So no, no, I went obviously. I went to the dentist,
doctor Cook. She's a funny kot h I've heard and
uh she because my teeth were hurting, I thought maybe
he jarred a couple of teeth got knocked loose or something.
He said, no, you're fine, but you got a crack
in your jaw.
Speaker 6 (37:10):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Go to another doctor and they he looked at it.
You know, it's not displaced it. See, you're fine, It's
just going to be sore for a while. And then
I believe Frat Guy's.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
See you still you still had to go to a doctor.
You still had to get a doctor bill out of it. Yes,
and that Bratt boys should.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
Have paid for it.
Speaker 6 (37:27):
Kicking on.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
The old man.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Should have called TJ.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
He'll make him pay. That's right. Eight five nine two
two eight seven's good. Another question, Okay, it's my turn.
I guess to pull out a question here. All right,
well we got here's the question from somebody in the audience.
What is your favorite remote location?
Speaker 3 (37:41):
Put you right, Mount Vernon, of course, of course, yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
Yeah, Mount Vernon, Kentucky, Vernie Community Trust Bank for the
Christian Appalachian Hunter Walk. Would you think what would be
your second maybe favorite remote location?
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Oh my goodness, there are so many of them out there.
Any plays that feeds us well or you know, gives
us prizes and things to take away from the from
the remote At the end, whiskey Thief is always fun.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
That's a good one.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
That one always comes to mind.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
I'm sure there's gonna be somebody listening going, well, what
about this one that I'm gonna completely forget about? But
that one I think Cornborad hemp is always fun going
on their hemp farm.
Speaker 4 (38:17):
It is is a couple of weeks ago. What about you, Mario.
Speaker 6 (38:19):
I like all the.
Speaker 5 (38:20):
Remotes with a lot of people. I like the big crowds,
like Country Boys, pretty big crowd. Cornbread is always fun
because it's just the scenics, like like the scenic view
that we see at Country Boy at the farm.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
It's just us out there with a bunch of hemp,
and it's good smells, you know, out there and.
Speaker 6 (38:38):
You like the smell.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
Oh yeah, yeah, you know what about to.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
My favorite one is probably we don't do it as
much anymore was Conley Bottom. We used to go to
Connley Bottom every summer, do it on the dock. Usually
let me jump in the water.
Speaker 6 (38:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
One year Ryan stripped down and and just jumped into
the lake.
Speaker 4 (38:55):
I did. They held up a big couple of towels
and I took my shorts off, put on some swim
trunk right there on the dock. What yeah, I wanted
to get in the water.
Speaker 6 (39:03):
Your shorts off?
Speaker 3 (39:05):
I did.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
We used to be you know, we used to get
kind of dicey on KSR back in the day. We
ryant just takes the shirt off now.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
But I did used completely down to put on some
swimsuits so I can jump in the water, all right.
Eight five nine two two tweet said, we do need
to update a story we talked about yesterday, Sidney McLaughlin.
We'd said it not only holds the record in the
four hundred hurdles, broke the American record in the four
hundred meter dash. That was in the semifinals. She ran
the finals last night broke her own record again. I mean,
(39:39):
she is the fastest stumping ever in the two toughest events.
She now has the American record in both of them.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
It's amazing. I mean, I feel like she's just running
her own race out there, like the other participants aren't
even in the same yeah category, or even level of
of her, just because of how fast she is. She's
got to be. I mean, we've we've said the before,
but she's got to be the greatest athlete in Kentucky's question, Now.
Speaker 5 (40:04):
When do you put her as like in the conversation,
as one of the greatest athletes of all.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
Time, Like, when is that happening? Well, of all time?
Speaker 4 (40:11):
Well, you know, Tyson Gay, who is from Lexington, is
the fastest American. But what for Usain Bolt. He would
have been the fastest man in the world. Usain Bolt
just happened to come along right when Tyson Gay came along.
She's Sydney. She is the Usain Bolt right now. Nobody
touching her. And she's I mean, she's still really young.
She's going to get faster, bigger, stronger and continue to
break her own records.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
That's the thing, Like, it's one thing to break somebody
else's record when you've already broken the record, and then
you come back and break your own record.
Speaker 6 (40:37):
At your record.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
It just shows that she's improving every year.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
So we were very proud of her being that she
wore the card to believe she was walking around campus.
Speaker 6 (40:46):
Students would go crazy, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (40:48):
All right, we want to remind everybody tonight at KOs
Bar and Grill it is Thursday night football. We got
the Bills and the Dolphins. Bills and Dolphins Thursday night football, guy,
I'll be there. We got some more tickets to give away.
Speaker 5 (40:59):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Of course the food out there is with fantastics, will
come out out thirty night football. A lot of drink
specials to a lot of drink specials.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Got volleyball tonight too.
Speaker 4 (41:07):
Volleyball tonight against Kentucky going to Louisville. Ye play at
the Young Center. That's right, So I hope we get
some blue to sneak in to watch that one as well.
The the Louisville volleyball I think their top ten, the
number three, Oh my goodness, yeah, I mean how many
top ten teams is Kentucky gonna play?
Speaker 2 (41:22):
I love it, Greg Skinners, like, let's take on the world.
We'll play every top twenty five teen we can. Most
of them have been top ten.
Speaker 4 (41:29):
So they played number one Nebraska, they played number two
Penn State. Now they're playing number three Louisville.
Speaker 6 (41:33):
Yeahing all the smoke, man, I love it.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
Well. When else we talk about UK volleyball, good for him.
He's got it in the forefront. And they're good. They're
really really good. So we'll check out the game to night.
All right, Well, get ready to take our break our
number two coming up. Phone lines will be open eight
five nine two eight h two two eighty seven. A
vision glass tech machine is five O two seven thirty
five thirty six eighty. We're live in Mount Vernon, Ryan,
