This guy had a kid come up to me Saturday,
Shannon walk up to me and just say, is UK
Carol Federal Credit Union for all y'all know?
Speaker 5 (02:09):
Yeah? I think so.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
I think it was a troll genuinely think it was
a troll. I thought it was. It made me laugh
quite a bit. Before we go the phones, Drew a
little piece of news you and I on cover zero
for the NFL Cover zero listeners out there, and I
have to say, I hope you all are listening because
Drew and I have a lot of fun doing this show,
(02:30):
and we have a lot of jokes that stay with us.
We've talked a lot about Mewbix, right, you remember mew Mix.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
Of course there are Panthers podcast.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Yeah, Panthers podcast. So for people who don't know, it
was a Panthers podcast. It went on for like seven years.
They decided to quit after the Panthers went started like
one and four in the season. But now the Panthers
have won four straight and so they announced after their
win Saturday against Sure Sunday again Shannon's Patriots, meow Mix
is back.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
They were coming back to podcasting, and the world was excited.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
But then all of the former Panthers players wrote them
and begged them to not come back, said we started
getting good when you left. Don't be a jinx and
come back and ruin our streak. So after announcing they
were coming back, getting thousands of people around the country
excited meow Mix is back. Now they've said, well, these
(03:30):
players don't want us to come back, so we won't.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Are you saddened at all?
Speaker 4 (03:34):
Drew that the Panthers podcast that went away and then
came back with all this national attention now has to
go away again so that they're not a jinx.
Speaker 6 (03:45):
I'm glad the players did this, now, Mix, it was
gonna be a horrible decision to come back. You've won
four out of five since you disappeared, the Panthers have,
and your one loss is the Bills. Them quitting set
the Panthers on a new trajectory that's been really good.
And if they had come back and done another episode,
I would have put every penny on I guess they're
(04:05):
playing the Saints this week, whoever it is. I would
have put every penny on the other team, because mal
Mix is the problem here and they need to recognize
that by staying away is what's working.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
But Shannon, isn't that heartbreaking If the team you love,
in order for you to win, need you to not
be a part of the team.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Well that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
I think it's a bad look on y'all micks to
just stop because their team sucked.
Speaker 7 (04:30):
Well, that's on them, But.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
They did it because they were getting no attention and
they were moving on with their lives. And then when
they quit, they got attention. So it was so it
was almost like they had no idea that they would
get this response.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Let's say Kentucky got cursed and the only way Kentucky
football could win is if KSR just went off the air.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Okay, that's you. You're you're thinking like me, So let's
start like this. This is for every fan out there.
What if I told you that if you promised to
not watch in of the games, or listen to KASR
or do any fan anything, Kentucky would win the National Championship?
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Would you do it?
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Would you want your team to win so badly that
you got to partake in none of the spoils. You
couldn't go to the games, you couldn't watch them, you
couldn't go to a bar and watch them. You just
had to like, you could know they win, but you
don't get to celebrate or be part of any of
the celebration.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Ryan, would you do that? If you were a fan?
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I don't think I could do it because part of
being a fan is enjoying the moment and watching the
games and seeing the big wins and watching them cut
down the nets.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
I mean I would.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
I would hate to miss that part as a fan.
I think that's part of what makes so you would.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Be selfish and not do it. You would be selfish
and say I have to watch it, and if we
don't win, so be it.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah, I would definitely be say true, what about you.
Speaker 6 (06:01):
Easy, I'll do it right now. Give me the opportunity
to gift Big Blue Nation a title. I will go
just binge watch episodes of Chopped on Hulu and forget
this team.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
That's fine.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
It's not about me. It's not about me.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
I don't care.
Speaker 6 (06:15):
I'm selfless. I'm thinking of the joy, all of my friends, people.
I don't even know the joy would bring the state,
what it would do for the program. I don't see
it as me not being a part of it. I
see me as being a big part of it. I
just have to stay away for the greater good, so
I don't even have to think nobody.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
What if nobody knows, that's fine. The reason I happened.
Speaker 6 (06:34):
I don't need I'm good.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
I'm a good knowledge of it.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
That's fine. It's not about me. You're already you're already
making it about me again. It's about the happiness for
everyone else. I'll be fine, I'll be honright.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
It's selfish through it selfless.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
And I don't need a single credit. I will be
happy seeing the smiles on everyone.
Speaker 5 (06:51):
Listen to that. That's great, Shannon, What about you? So?
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Can I I got a question. Can I go back
and watch the game after it happens?
Speaker 5 (06:57):
No?
Speaker 8 (06:58):
Oh no, you can never Like you can know what happened,
but you are forbidden from having any joy from it
beyond just the knowledge that you wanted.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
I was thinking, you know, I could just watch it
like it's a tape delay back in the day, like
when you have to watch the game and eleven.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
It's just gonna be a mystery to you. You're just
gonna hear they won the title. That's all you're gonna hear.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
I don't know, man, that is That is a terrible situation,
you know what. I think I would do it for
one year and then I want the credit though I'm
unlike Drew.
Speaker 7 (07:27):
I want the credit.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I want everybody to put me up on their shoulders.
And says he didn't watch any of the games. He's
the reason we won. So if I get the credit
for it, then yes.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
Okay, all right, I would I think I'm like Drew.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
I would say for the collective happiness of the state,
I would take it. You know, the reality is, Drew,
I don't watch a lot of the games anyway because
I get nervous.
Speaker 6 (07:52):
I was gonna bring that up. Yeah, we.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Get to the tournament, I'm so nervous that all. I
don't watch him anyway until the replay, so I know
what happened. So I'm gonna do it. I'm Withdrew, which means, oddly, Ryan,
you're the only one that's selfish out of the group.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
I mean, we've won eight titles. We're gonna win more
titles down the road. I'm not doing it for a year.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
You're looking out for you.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
I'm over the fan base. All means there might not
be another one.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
There's more.
Speaker 6 (08:29):
You can guarantee one, there's more coming.
Speaker 7 (08:32):
You save yourself a lot of money on YouTube streamer tips.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
It sounds like Drew, Drew and I are like meow mix.
Ryan is his own selfish fan Who's up next?
Speaker 7 (08:43):
South Side Chuck.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
South Side, Chuck, go ahead.
Speaker 9 (08:49):
Good morning, Matton Fellas, Good morning. I have been listening
and watching the UK stamer since COVID, so I can
answer pretty much any questions you have about his stream.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
So when you say the streamer, there's one in particular you.
Speaker 9 (09:11):
Watch, Yeah, it's it's the guy Ryan has mentioned. There
are a few others, but this guy is the predominant one.
He has been doing UK games. Like I said, I've
been watching since COVID.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
And so do you have like a personal affinity for him?
Speaker 9 (09:29):
No, he just he is the only one that consistently
covers every UK basketball game, no matter what day, whether
it be on a Tuesday or a Saturday. But he
does it, and he he doesn't verbally ask for donations.
He puts his cash app up and then as people
(09:50):
begin to donate, he'll acknowledge them like Ryan, but donate
That makes probably.
Speaker 10 (09:58):
No, but he does.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Okay, So now I actually think you're the opposite because
I was mocking Ryan for giving him ten dollars for
a game, but you have now used it for five years.
Have you never wanted to like give him a little
something for his effort?
Speaker 5 (10:19):
No?
Speaker 9 (10:19):
His effort is by his choice.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
I like the way he thinks. I mean, that's true.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
But if everybody has your edit, like I think, if
everyone had your attitude, though, then he probably wouldn't do it.
Speaker 9 (10:38):
I bet he makes two or three thousand dollars a game.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
Wow, for good many people.
Speaker 9 (10:45):
That watch and donate. I bet he makes two or
three thousand dollars per game.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
But you're not donating?
Speaker 10 (10:54):
No, I'm not.
Speaker 9 (10:56):
Why donate when I can watch when when it's on
it for free? But he's but he isn't the only
one that is streaming it. I watch all the sports
on YouTube. I watched basketball, football, volleyball. I watch them all.
They're all on there for free.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
All right, Well, I appreciate the call.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
Who knew there's this outlaw world which Shannon introduced us
to and which Ryan has gladly opened his bank account
to that I don't know that though I don't know
a lot of fans were aware of. Maybe this will
be the case that no one ends up with these
subscriptions now, Shannon, because of why?
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Why why would you pay for it when it's there
for free?
Speaker 5 (11:33):
He said, I don't know the answer to this. Is
every game on there?
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Yes, I mean, yeah, have you heard of what South said?
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Chuck too, It's not just Kentucky. I'm saying if I
wanted to.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Watch no, no, not every game, but okay, I think
Duke was on there last night. Yeah yeah, but he's
asking us every no, not every game, but every Kentucky game. Yes,
but other teams not necessarily interesting. All right, who's next,
Let's go to gauge.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Gauge, Go ahead, gauge.
Speaker 11 (12:04):
Hey guys, Uh, there are actually a lot of games
that you can find on YouTube. So I'm still in
high school and when March Madness comes around, instead of
you know, doing my work in class, I'll usually just
look games up on YouTube and I still get to
watch March Madness while I'm in school. That's pretty that's
pretty nice. But we we've we've also uh we also
(12:28):
watched the World Series on YouTube.
Speaker 7 (12:31):
Yeah, way for cable.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
Yeah, I mean there is a sense you all are
making it sound like there's no reason to have any
of these things.
Speaker 11 (12:39):
No, there's really not. I mean, we my TV. It's
like it's like weird, Like I only have like YouTube
and Netflix I can get on and we literally watched
it outside in a tent on YouTube.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
So like how do you have a team where you
can only get on YouTube? What kind of television is that?
Speaker 11 (12:57):
It's a it's a really cheap one. Because you know
my mom, all right.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Well I understand, Well listen if it works for you,
I love it. And you get to watch all the
games and you're in high school. So I say, keep doing.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
It, sir.
Speaker 12 (13:12):
I thank you.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
That appreciate the call. Drew.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
I knew none of this, but luckily I'm learning. The
hair Leader did a story this morning that I did
want to know. They were talking about UK football and
the transfer portal. You know, we lost a ton of
guys in the transfer portal, and in the story, one
of the things they said is, Okay, let's go see
how these guys are doing that we lost in the portal,
(13:36):
because I think we lost something like nineteen guys or
in the portal. And basically the analysis of the story was,
at virtually every position where we lost a player, Kentucky
has replaced that player with someone better or equal. That
essentially none of the transfer losses were huge losses that
(13:59):
they've basically all been for the most part replaced. Do
you agree with that analysis, and if so, like, what
does that say going forward.
Speaker 6 (14:11):
Hmmm, I'm trying to run through positions. I don't know
that I would agree with it right away. I'm trying to.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
I mean, the only one that you could argue is
Dane and Barrion. But even those guys, their production levels
haven't been at a level that is substantially different than
what we're doing here, and so the argument is it
didn't really make much difference on anybody either way.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
I guess I'm going through, and some of the guys
they paid to replace people aren't the ones doing the replacing,
Like Calzada is just I mean, we got hurt, but
he's just sitting there and he was the replacement Dante Daldell.
It's been more of the seth McGowan show, and they
were more of a one too. I guess receivers, you
got young guys stetching up, stepping up when the portal
(15:01):
guys haven't done as much. Now loss turn it on lately.
So I guess people have stepped up and filled holes,
but I don't know that it's been there what they
thought it would be in all the spots, if that
makes sense.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
I mean, Dane's got five touchdowns and then at one
point he had more touchdowns.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
Those he had those here.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
I mean like it wasn't like like his production there
has not been that much different than it was here.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
But I think our entire receiver corps doesn't have five touchdowns.
I think they just got their fifth. Yeah, on Saturday
as a group, Kendrick Law's got three.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
He lost his quarterback, right, didn't he get hurt? Yes?
Speaker 2 (15:36):
He did, Yeah he did.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
He's out. Yeah, it's a tough broke.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
I don't think Barrion hasn't done much down at LSU
from what I understand.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
Yeah, it'd be interesting to see if those guys had stayed.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Would it have been better for both of them or
would it have been better for the team.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
I don't really know.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
I mean that it was interesting because those two guys
have more talent than anybody that's here. Would it have
been better for them, would it have been better for us?
We'll never know, but it's an interesting it's an interesting question.
Got some exciting news from our friends at Cornbred Hemp.
They just open a brand new retail store right inside
their facility in Louisville. You can take a tour and
see how they make it. This is actually very if
(16:16):
you get a chance, you need to go by their store.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
The way they make stuff is kind of fascinating.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
The Seltzers, the sleep, gummys, the oils, it's all there
at the corn Bred Hemp facility in Louisville.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
What's the address? They should put the address on.
Speaker 7 (16:30):
Here, like Cheff Avenues.
Speaker 5 (16:32):
Or something like that. Yeah, it's not on the copy,
but it should be.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
KSR listeners get twenty percent off their first order with
the code KSR. Twenty percent off your first order with
code KSR. It's corn Bred Hemp. Get a chance go
by their place. They've literally they have the assembly line
right there where you can look at it.
Speaker 7 (16:49):
Six twelve Scheff Avenue.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Forty six twelve Chef Avenue. It's corn Bred hamp. This
is the good life. We'll be right back, Welcome back,
take you sports radio. Great comments on the text machine.
What person writes Matt, the stream won't get shut down
because as long as he's talking about the game, it
falls under fair use in the law. That is false.
(17:11):
I like when people say definitive legal statement shin and
that are completely like they know, yeah, I mean that's
not true. Fair use is like if you use a
clip or something. So like if jd Vance does an
interview on Matt Jones's show and he says a clip
that's newsworthy, someone can take that clip and use it
(17:36):
in comment on it.
Speaker 5 (17:37):
But they can't take the whole interview.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
They have to take like a reasonable clip size, same
thing with like highlights stuff like that. You can't take
the whole thing. So no, you can't stream a game.
And just because if you could do that, then Drew
you could just everyone could do it, right, You could
just go, welly should I pay for the rights the NFL?
Speaker 5 (17:58):
I have the NFL.
Speaker 4 (17:59):
Every every network would just take the feed and do
their own commentators.
Speaker 6 (18:04):
Yeah, and can't do Usually a YouTube starts pulling these
at being of the year. It happens NFL, happens every sport.
They let them get built up and they just yank
them down mid game. But I wonder if right now,
while YouTube is fighting with ESPN, if they're like, yeah,
stream away, just get out. YouTube might actually like this
because it's the same company. I mean, it's Google, So
(18:25):
they're probably thinking, as long as you're not an ESPN,
we don't care what you're doing here for as time being.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
That's a great point, and that may be you may
have just hit what is happening? Uh?
Speaker 4 (18:33):
One press rights respectfully, Matt, do you live under a rock?
There are all sorts of streams for all sorts of things.
Everything in the world is on YouTube. You act like
you just discovered it. Oh, maybe true. I mean I didn't.
I mean I've been on YouTube, but I and I
knew they stream stuff, but I didn't realize it. Certainly
(18:55):
didn't realize like Shannon said, there were sixty thousand people.
Speaker 5 (18:58):
On there watching them.
Speaker 7 (18:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (19:00):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Another person says, you are going to get this taken
down and the fan base is gonna play Blame you.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
It's not me, you blame Shaanon.
Speaker 7 (19:07):
Don't blame me. I'm just trying to help you all out.
Speaker 5 (19:09):
I'm trying to get one person rights.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
There's one stream that has Tom Leech calling the game
and then has the game stats.
Speaker 5 (19:16):
Well, that sounds awesome. Have you found that one, Ryan?
Speaker 2 (19:19):
I think I went across that last Yeah, it's just stats.
There's no like live video, just stats in the radio
play by play together.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Oh so it's no video, correct? Okay, Well that one
that wouldn't be That wouldn't be quite as interesting.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
Are you feeling good at all. Drew about the Florida
game Saturday.
Speaker 6 (19:37):
I have felt good March. Yeah, that was my hot
take in the spring that I think we could get them,
because I and it's looking that way. I never thought
Florida would be a good team this year. I thought
Kentucky would be a little better than they've been. But
I'm not switching up my prediction. I know Florida is
a field gold favorite at the moment, but I still
like Kentucky at home in that game.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
Yeah, I mean, I'm feeling good about it. They're still
their field goal favorite. I think we can win. I
think a lot of it's gonna be kind of how
engaged is our crowd, how many people go.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
I'm interested to see what that'll be. Ryan.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
You know, I judge this stuff by the thing that's
the easiest for me to judge, what's the bar. There
wasn't a ton of interest in the Auburn game Saturday,
But of course then we went and won the Auburn game.
So you wonder, like, does that make it different this week?
Does winning re engage people? Do you feel like people
are re engaged because of the win or no?
Speaker 2 (20:33):
I do a little bit it seems like they are
just you know, talking to people that win at Auburn
has kind of got re energized our fan base a
little bit. If nothing else, I think it re energized
the locker room, that's for sure. So you know, it's
supposed to be a nice night, but I would almost
prefer it'd be cold with Florida coming in if we're
gonna have a chance to win. I think the colder
it gets, the better our chances maybe to pull one
off over them.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
What is the weather situation?
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Because I saw everyone changed their everyone changed their the
high school football games in Louisville Friday.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
What are that to Thursday? What are they expecting to happen?
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Well, Friday, I think is supposed to rain a lot.
I think Saturday is supposed to tail off a little bit.
Speaker 5 (21:10):
Okay, so Friday is supposed to be bad weather. But Saturday, Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
That's what I understand.
Speaker 6 (21:14):
Saturday around game time it is supposed to be like
how forties fifties shouldn't be ratting?
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Okay, gotcha? All right? Who's up next? Doc? Doc? Go ahead? Doc? Hey?
First time? On who are.
Speaker 13 (21:28):
Two things I originally had cable with sectrum and then
they lost it a couple of years ago before football,
and so I canceled it and went to just streaming
and the internet. Well it was two hundred dollars. I
was hand So I went back to Sectrum because now
they have everything included Disney plus ESPN, Hulu, all that stuff,
and I'm paying like one forty. So I think we're
(21:50):
getting full cyclical back to what it used to be.
One thing for everything and then second thing in order
of importance. Do you think we need to win football
at Florida, football at Louisville if we're five and six,
or Louisville basketball or Florida basketball.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Wow, Florida basketball's at the bottom. I mean, I'll be
the last game of the year, so our focus will
be on there.
Speaker 13 (22:24):
Or actually Arkansas switch Florida for Arkansas basketball.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
Arkansas's different. All right, Well, I appreciate the call.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
So I guess that to answer that question, you have
to decide, like, what do you want because there are
people out there who kind of wouldn't mind to see
a change. If you're just talking to me personally, what
is my order of wanting to win? Oh man, I
would go I want to beat Louisville and football because
it would keep them out of the playoff.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
I think that's number one, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
So I would go Louisville football, then probably Florida football,
Louisville bas basketball, Arkansas basketball. That's my that's my order,
or maybe Arkansas. I had a Louisville in basketball, but
the two football games are more important to me, just
about the future of the program one way or the other.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
I did you know the.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Regular season basketball games, they matter, but they go away.
The football games have lasting importance one game. So that's
why that's gonna be ahead for me. We'll take a
break right back, KSR.
Speaker 6 (23:27):
TJ. Smith personal injury attorney called TJ.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
He'll make them pay.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio present it by Stockton Mortgage.
Speaker 7 (23:35):
Here's Matt Jones.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
Walk back in this Kentucky Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
If I'm nine two eight h twenty two eighty seven
text machine seven seven to two seven seven four five
two five four wingsday, kspar it's a great Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
Thanks to Drew for doing the post game show. How'd
that go last night? Drew?
Speaker 6 (23:50):
I think every single call just wanted to say that
they love Colin Chandler's dunk, So it was fitting that
I got to be the one to.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Take those calls.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
And then the dude that hit the half court shot
also called in. Last Oh yeah, Jared called in. He
was fired up a pretty neat story.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Thousand he had a ten thousand dollars a half court shot?
Is that right? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (24:07):
But uh, several people turned it down before they asked him,
which I think is weird. But he and his buddy
played rock paper scissors for who got to do it,
and he actually lost. But his friend saw how upset
he was that he lost and how bad he wanted
the shot, so his friend said, you go shoot it,
and then he made it.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
Is this the Jared we know or a different Jared?
Speaker 6 (24:26):
I didn't know what Jared are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (24:29):
Well, you and I know a big Jared fan. It's
not him, that's what you're saying. Uh, you know the
one guy. I can't see you, so I can't I
could do it.
Speaker 6 (24:38):
I don't even know what you're talking about. But this
guy's a fan of the show. He called in, says
he listens to ks R. But uh, yeah, he's a
big KSR fan.
Speaker 11 (24:44):
I know.
Speaker 6 (24:44):
He called in just explained it all.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
Uh, well, good.
Speaker 6 (24:47):
I guess there was a moment where they wondered if
his foot was on the line, but he sent me
a photo. You could park a car between his foot
and the line.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
Remember we had that a few years ago. God, and
they weren't going to give it to him. Guy, Yeah,
this is not NBA. Like, if he's close, what are
you doing?
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Give him the money clearly over the line.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
Then yeah, he's.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Shooting a free throw, Just go ahead and give him
the money exactly.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
Uh, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
ESPN just now announced that game Sunday, the volleyball game
will be on ESPN Regular at five o'clock. Right, So,
not only does Craig Skinner want to pack the house,
I think part of why he wants to do it
is this is on ESPN Regular for h for Sunday,
the volleyball game between Kentucky and Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
I guess I'll be dialing up sports Live reactions and
see if he's gonna carry the game.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
For me, you can have it.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
I'll tip him again if he guys carries that volleyball
game for me.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
All right?
Speaker 6 (25:44):
Uh, I got beef with Craig Skinner. Okay, he stood
on the desk and asked everyone to buy tickets, and
I think he bought him tickets himself. Two nights ago.
That night, I went to buy tickets and there weren't
any more general emission left. So, Craig, you gotta leave
a couple.
Speaker 5 (26:00):
Sold.
Speaker 9 (26:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:01):
I gotta buy very verified secondary tickets just to get
general mission now, so it's gonna be a good crowd.
But come on, Craig, let me get mine first before
we start shouting from the rooftop.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
But it worked.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
There's no more available when I checked two nights ago.
Speaker 9 (26:15):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
Do you think, Shannon, there's any other sports hosts in
America that during their show has also been following a
Supreme Court argument while it's going on.
Speaker 7 (26:23):
Probably not, Probably just you.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
Yeah, I'm sitting here watching Trump's tariffs are going down.
Supreme Court's killing him right now. I don't know when
that'll get announced.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
But very interesting.
Speaker 5 (26:34):
What do you mean, it's very interesting? Very You don't
want to know about that? Sure?
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I do. Yes.
Speaker 5 (26:39):
Do you know what a teriff is?
Speaker 2 (26:41):
It's like a tax.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
Okay, tell me what a terrific? Explain to people what
a terriff.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Is like when we buy goods from Canada, We're going
to tax them. Who's we United States?
Speaker 5 (26:56):
But like you mean the country or like businesses.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Business, the business, we're gonna we're gonna tax you. We're
going to force you to pay us money to buy
your product.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
And so who are they gonna pay? Who's going to
have to pay it? The company people, the witch company,
the Canadian company.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Yeah, the Canadian the Canadian company.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
No, the American company is gonna pay.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
The importer, the importer, not the importee.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
The American company will pay to bring in a foreign product.
Speaker 5 (27:26):
So that's it's the tax is actually on the American company.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
There you go, very interesting, there you go, but like.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
Looks like that may get shot down. Who's up next? Baba?
Go ahead, baba.
Speaker 10 (27:42):
Hey, I just want to thank you for the tickets
last night. Sea.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
It's right, you got the seventh year old. So how
was it?
Speaker 10 (27:52):
I was great, It was great. Me and my son
went and really enjoyed it. And uh, I want to
call him thank you.
Speaker 12 (27:57):
And uh.
Speaker 10 (27:58):
The biggest the the hoss had gotten the first half
is when when the guy made the half court shot,
So it was it was a little little out of
sorts in the first half, and I think we'll be there.
Speaker 4 (28:11):
Were you on the sidide because I saw where your
seats were.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
Were you on the side where Colin Chandler dunked it?
Or on the other side, other side? Other side? Okay, gotcha?
Speaker 4 (28:22):
Well everybody who won yesterday with those jokes, all three
people you're the third. The other two sent me pictures
and thanked me last night, and then you called the show.
This is why I think it's so awesome that people
donate these tickets and we give them away because like
those tickets, the tickets you were in, sir, like he
could have sold those for a lot of money and instead.
Speaker 10 (28:43):
Gave him away.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
And I'm glad you all got to enjoy them.
Speaker 10 (28:49):
Yes, it was. It was a great time. And thanks again.
Speaker 5 (28:52):
Well you're more than welcome. Thank you.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
I just really liked that about this fan base. I
like how, you know, somebody he wrote me and said
they wanted to give two away, which were the two
I gave to Bubba. But then another person just sent
me four. I just got into my email and there
were four more. And you know, I don't expect that
to happen for the North Carolina game or the Florida game.
But for these other games, I just think it. You know,
(29:15):
when you give me tickets away, I will give them out.
And I think it's it's neat Ryan getting to give
people the chance to take their son or whatever else.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
We're gonna put the tickets in the hands of people
that can go and appreciate it. But did you see
where Dennis Johnson sat last night to watch Jasper in
his first ever game.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
Talk to me about that. Jasper Johnson's dad, Why did
he sit at the top?
Speaker 2 (29:36):
He always does, He's done that since Jasper was a kid.
He'll sit as high as he can, sit just away
far away from the action as he can. So he
went all the way to the tippy top by himself,
top roll Roperena to watch his son plays first game
at Reperena.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
Is it because he's nervous?
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I think anytime your dad's watching your kids play, it's
unbelievably nervous. And if you're down close, you maybe get
caught up in the moment, maybe want to yell something up.
And then he sits by him south by himself, yep,
up at the top.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
I was confused when they when they get a sellout
and there's people there does he request a single or
does he? Because last night know that whole end zone
is in he just walked up there. But will he
Is that his official seat?
Speaker 9 (30:16):
No?
Speaker 2 (30:16):
His official family seats are like down close? He wasn't
he set up top?
Speaker 5 (30:21):
I like it though, I get it. I get it.
Nobody's bothering you. I totally, I totally get it.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
Who's next, Chris?
Speaker 5 (30:29):
Chris? Go ahead, Chris.
Speaker 14 (30:31):
Hey, guys, I appreciate you taking my call, first time
ever being on on air, and I'm over here at
UK hospital. I just had open art surgery on the
twentieth and I was just calling to see how can
how can somebody come up with a couple of tickets
to see UK basketball?
Speaker 12 (30:51):
I would love to.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
We don't.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
We don't Yeah, I mean I we don't. We don't
do requests for tickets, but I will say this, I'm glad.
I hope you're recovery going well from the from the
Are you doing all right?
Speaker 10 (31:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (31:05):
Yeah? I think I'm gonna be released here tomorrow or
is it a following day?
Speaker 5 (31:11):
Well, good luck with you. Where are you from?
Speaker 10 (31:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (31:17):
Thirty two? Yeah, I have I had a bad heart
valve my try custed bell all my peoples from Pote County, Kentucky.
Well where are you from?
Speaker 5 (31:29):
You're from Pine County too.
Speaker 14 (31:32):
Yeah, I was born in North Carolina, but I represent Kentucky.
Speaker 5 (31:37):
You represent Kentucky, but you came up here for your surgery.
Speaker 14 (31:42):
Oh no, no, I've been living in Lexaston for the
last four years.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
Okay, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. Well listen. I hope your recovery
goes well.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
I appreciate you listening, and hopefully one day you can
win tickets from us and good luck and come by
and see us sometime.
Speaker 14 (31:58):
Okay, all right, thank you, thank you, Thank.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
You, sir. Appreciate it well. Glad your surgery with Will
thirty two Shannon. That's yeah for open heart surgery. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
Welcome back. It is Say Sports.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Radio twenty two eighty seven. Text machine is UH seven
seven two seven seven four five two five four.
Speaker 5 (33:07):
Andy Basheer.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Says that the non fatalities UH are at the airport
that will likely grow by one, but some people are
still missing. He said it could have hit the Ford
factory or convention center, at which point it would have
been a much worse disaster, which that really is hard
(33:29):
to imagine, right, I mean the Ford fact as I understand,
and I could be wrong about this. I guess it
can take off two different ways or whatever, and if
it had been going the other way, it would have
hit the Ford factory.
Speaker 5 (33:43):
Where it was the night shift. I mean, you can't
even imagine like what that would have been.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
I didn't realize that was a scenario that could have
possibly happened. So just awful. Every news it comes out
just seems to get worse and worse.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
Yeah, I mean, seriously think about Shandon, what he what
has haden and like what he's had to deal with
since he was the governor, just in.
Speaker 7 (34:02):
Terms of all right, yeah, yeah, start with COVID.
Speaker 5 (34:06):
Yeah, COVID.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
I mean what all Mayfield tornado, right, flood flooding twice,
London tornado.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
This it's kind of amazing if you think of it.
Speaker 4 (34:22):
I mean that's just what's six years, right, I mean
that's that's six years, not even been that long.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
He's had to go through more like than any other
governor that I can remember in my lifetime.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
Just well, the part of it is.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
That the tornadoes have changed, Like now we are tornado Alley,
which didn't used to be the case. Like when I
was a kid, you thought of tornadoes, what'd you think
about like Iowa and Oklahoma? Yeah, Kansas and now that
tornado Alley. It feels like is Us feels like Kentucky
has become Tornado Alley, and so yeah, it's just it's
(35:00):
it's sam if I'm nine two eight h twenty two
eighty seven, we play Valpo. You know you you thought
Nichols Drew was the hardest team in the BBN Classic.
You feel better about Valpo on Friday.
Speaker 6 (35:17):
I think they'll be about the same. They were rated
pretty similar in Ken Palm. Eastern Illinois look to be
the worst of the three, and I mean they nearly
won that game. So that's the one I will say
my power ranking. We have questions right now the day after,
but so far it looks like Valpo and Nichols are
are very comparable, and Eastern Illinois a little better than
(35:38):
I expected that because they were ranked three hundred and
thirtieth out of three sixty.
Speaker 5 (35:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
They I'm excited though, just to see Jayalen Lowe. Ultimately,
that's the thing that that I want to see. Pope
seems to suggest he'll play. That's ultimately for me. Jalen
low is the season, so I want to see him
on the court. A lot of you have been asking
me about the aim of the book I talked about yesterday,
the North Korean book. I've had a bunch of people
(36:04):
writing it's again without you, there is no Us. That's
the name of the book that I was talking about yesterday.
If you're if you're interested.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
Who's next, Douglas, Douglas, go ahead, Douglas.
Speaker 12 (36:17):
As far as Andy Basher, you're forgetting also about the
mass shooting at the National Bank in Louisville.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Yeah, that that's exactly right. That was that was the Craig. Yeah,
but go ahead.
Speaker 10 (36:30):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (36:30):
And then have you all talked about three I atlas
we need only it's only the third interstellar object that's
ever come into our solar system. And there's a Harvard
professor who published a paper where he suggested, based on
all this anomalous behavior of it, it could be some
(36:53):
sort of extraterrestrial craft in the sense that it has
non gravitational acceleration. They've noticed, they've noticed that it's come,
it's taken a path where it is like at the
closest point to Jupiter, Mars, Earth, and Venus that it
could take.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
And they're saying, are you saying to me that they
are that there are people out there that believe there's
a craft right now that could be an alien.
Speaker 12 (37:18):
Well, no, they or they're suggesting that it could be
a ship that has been sent from a more advanced
society to come observe the different plan.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Okay, so who is when you say someone is suggest
you're saying a professor at Harvard is suggesting it.
Speaker 12 (37:32):
His name's like avvy Lobe. Yes, he's an astronomy right.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
Now, for you seem to know something about this, Oh yeah,
I even brought this.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
Up one day while you're out to let everyone know
that we do have a ship approaching.
Speaker 5 (37:45):
Let me say approaching, it's coming here.
Speaker 6 (37:47):
Yeah, they even have like a timeframe of when it
would be near.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
When do they think it's getting here?
Speaker 6 (37:52):
I'll have to look it back up. It's been a while.
I just saw they added Kim Kardashian to the research team,
which kind of kind of took a hit for our PR.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
If that helps the making that you're you're making that up?
They added Kim Kardashian to the research team.
Speaker 6 (38:06):
Yeah, what is that? That that means exactly how it sounds.
That's not great. It's not great for our p R.
Speaker 5 (38:13):
Who hang on a second, who added her to the team?
Speaker 6 (38:18):
Uh? Auvy Lobe, I believe is his name?
Speaker 4 (38:22):
The Colors professor at Harvard, added Kim Kardashian to the recent.
Speaker 7 (38:25):
He's losing credibility here as of yesterday.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
Just for the record, Shannon, I did not believe in
it to begin with.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
But if this dude, added Kim Kardashian, then I'm out.
Speaker 6 (38:37):
All right, I shouldn't have brought that up. Let's focus
on the matter hand. This thing is not moving like
a normal comments.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
It's that's a pretty big I think that's a pretty
big factor.
Speaker 12 (38:45):
But go ahead.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Not sign her up.
Speaker 4 (38:52):
Yeah, well, well listen, why is it? Ski low in
part of the research team too. All right, go ahead
and finish what you were saying, Drew.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
What's what's the story about it?
Speaker 6 (39:01):
It is NASA says it's a comment. But other people
like my guy Avi Avi and now Kim Kardashian, who
I'll leave out of this, Uh, they have noticed it's
it's turning and doing things comments aren't supposed to do.
So there are people making the case that hey, this
might not be a comment.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
This is when was supposed to get here, when's it's
supposed to get I feel.
Speaker 5 (39:25):
Like that's a pretty big piece of information. I think
if you.
Speaker 6 (39:28):
Watched the new season of Keeping up with Kardashians. They
might say, when it's coming, here we go? When will
it pass earth?
Speaker 5 (39:35):
I guess, Kim, December nineteenth this year?
Speaker 7 (39:39):
Yeah, okay before.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
Can I make a prediction? Can I make a prediction?
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (39:44):
On December nineteenth, nothing will have happened. How's that? Does
anyone want to take that bad?
Speaker 4 (39:51):
Does anyone want to be the person that says, on
December nineteenth, something's going to happen?
Speaker 6 (39:57):
When when you say something, what do you mean? I
don't think it's to get hit with a laser or anything.
Speaker 5 (40:02):
Well, what are you thinking's gonna happen? I don't know.
Speaker 6 (40:04):
I'm waiting for Kim to tell me. She just got
on the team yesterday.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
Give her some time, Matt Hey got this second.
Speaker 5 (40:11):
She guys just got on the team yesterday.
Speaker 6 (40:13):
I'm pretty sure I saw this on Twitter.
Speaker 5 (40:15):
Why did they put her on the team? What was
their reasoning?
Speaker 10 (40:18):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (40:19):
The headline here says alien comment. Excuse me? Alien commet
investigator wants Kim Kartashian to join research team. Why for
a potentially hostile comment? Maybe if there is another life form,
we need someone to speak for our planet. Who else?
Speaker 5 (40:38):
Who else? About her? You don't get she does not
get to speak for the planet.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
ND it's gonna be k Bruce Jenner, I would say
serious about this.
Speaker 6 (40:54):
I'm on New York Post dot com, which I know
it's got some wacky.
Speaker 5 (40:59):
I'll take that.
Speaker 4 (40:59):
You're telling me that they've added Kim Kardashian to the
Harvard Professor for real, added Kim Kardashian to.
Speaker 6 (41:08):
The Here you Go World News. It's labeled World News.
November fourth, twenty twenty five, one thirty three pm headline,
Kim Kardashian invited to join research team for three I
Atlas comment which scientists fear could contain alien life.
Speaker 5 (41:24):
Okay, but what is their reason for adding her? Like,
why would they keep.
Speaker 6 (41:28):
Up with the comment? We keep up with the Kardashians.
Now we need the Kardashians to keep up with the
comet filly. We've got a reality show here.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
I'm gonna have to read this when this is over,
because this sounds like that that I believe Drew. I
think Drew, unlike Ryan, knows how to sort through fake news. Shannon,
I don't love the Kim park. The Kim part is
not good.
Speaker 5 (41:47):
This is the come on, stop, just watch.
Speaker 6 (41:52):
The skies there's some funny business going on.
Speaker 4 (41:54):
It's paying stiffness or a numbing sensation preventing you from
enjoying watching your favorite teams compete. This fall YouTube with
people saying your names will listen to how Court Physical
Therapy can help. For over thirty years, they've been Kentucky's
go to physical therapy group to help athletes, fan and
average shows get rid of achs and pains. If you've
met your insurance deductibles, you might not even have to
pay for the rest of the year. Visit Court dot
(42:16):
com and learn more. That's kort dot com. There has
to be more to this story. The Kim car.
Speaker 5 (42:23):
So they think it's coming and they think, what is
gonna happen.
Speaker 7 (42:29):
This says no impact, nothing will happen.
Speaker 6 (42:31):
Well, that's what NASA says. But my guy Afi says,
this thing it's the size of Manhattan and it's coming
right for us, and it turns and might even have lights,
all right, and Kim k is gonna get to the
bottom of it. Yes, Tom matt.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
Hey, we will see you tomorrow. Cats get a big
win over Nichols. This is man Kentucky Sports Radio
