Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everyone. It is the local toyat Dealers KSR postgame show.
I am Matt Jones, and I have to tell you
I've been to a lot of UK football games over
the years, been to a lot of road football games
over the years. Not sure there's been better than this
one tonight. We are I'm here on the grove. Are
actually in a building outside the grove. I was supposed

(00:22):
to be standing out on the grove in the Oxford,
well not the Oxford excuse me. The old Miss security
or old Miss police came and told me that I
was not allowed to do it because Old Miss Athletics
had complained that I was doing the show, which I
didn't think that would show up. And his and their
exact quote, because I want to get right, is no

(00:43):
electrical cords are allowed to run out of a doorway
of a building on a game day, I'll pa which
is a lot of words to say. We just beat
their ass and they're being lame and will not let
me go celebrate. We had a ton of people out
here ready. For those of you that are in Oxford,
you'll remember this one too, because this was absolutely awesome.

(01:03):
In the stadium, there weren't a lot of Kentucky fans there.
I'll be honest. When I was here two years ago,
we probably had thirty percent of the crowd. That wasn't
the case today. But I will say for the people
that were there, that was one of the coolest atmospheres
that I could remember. I said before the game that
it wasn't loud in there. I was correct. The only

(01:23):
time it ever got loud was when they jacked their
music up to about a thousand during the things. But
the fans were almost never loud. But who was loud?
Where the Kentucky fans win? The game was over after
an absolutely to me stunning win. I hope you've seen
the videos of the locker room after the game, people
going absolutely crazy in the locker room. Mark Stoops did

(01:44):
a crowd surfing. This was an awesome win. And if
you think about all the different times during the game
when it could have gone poorly and yet they found
a way to win, it's pretty amazing. You know, they
come in right at the beginning, we think we get
a fumble, no fumble. Then they come down and score
on what four plays, seven to nothing, and the four

(02:06):
of us here at the game, I thought, man we
might get forty put on us. Instead, their game plan,
which was methodical and which worked to perfection control the ball.
They were conservative, but they also took shots. They also
threw the ball. I mean, I actually think we were
much more effective throwing than running today, which you did
not at least I did not see coming before it started.

(02:29):
And then Kentucky just kept trading punch for punch. And
there were about three moments in the second half that
I thought, well, on the post game, I'm going to say,
you know, they played really well but just weren't quite
able to do it. One was when they went for
the drive made it seventeen thirteen. I thought, well, you know,
it's not gonna happen. Then we went three and out

(02:50):
and we kicked it back to them, and I thought, well,
then it's really not gonna happen. Instead, we stopped them
three straight times twice three and out to give our
offense a chance a chance, and then, unbelievably to me,
I mean, he's a right call, but on fourth and
eight from the twenty, our own twenty, he goes for it,
and I think that Barry and Brown pass it might

(03:12):
not be Stevie got loose territory, but it's getting close.
I mean it is up there a sixty three yard
pass which was well thrown, but the play by barry
On Brown and then you gotta go back. If Barryon
ends up in the NFL, they'll use that tape on
draft night when he's picked. He runs ten yards, stops

(03:34):
and then turns and goes in another direction, stop, backs
up and turns around. You never see a receiver do
that on the sideline. Does it nearly scores? They then
did a really good job of clock management. They score,
and there was a lot of celebration, but there was
still what three minutes to go? Fourth down? And what
was the fourth down? Fourth and eleven, fourth and eight

(03:55):
when they threw forty yards to a tight end. I'm
not sure what are safety was doing there. He didn't
even jump and they catch it. They get it at
the thirty five and at that point probably all of
you thought, well, here we go again. Instead the defense
buckles down, stops them, create, makes them do a well.

(04:15):
Then you get the third down where we create a
fumble but are off sides once again, you think, well,
there's another one where we'll sit there and go, oh,
how did that happen. After all of that comes down
to third down and eight, they get a stop and
then Old Miss misses a forty eight yard field goal
and we win the game. I am so happy for

(04:37):
this group. They're three and two, which is, by the way,
what we thought they'd be at this point of the season,
when you consider how bad they looked at South Carolina,
when you considered the conversations we had then to play
the way they played against Georgia and Old Miss. Two
of the top seven teams in the country could have
beaten Georgia at home, didn't, and then you go and
win at Old Miss. I just want people to take

(04:59):
a step back and think about this win. This is
the biggest highest ranked road win for Kentucky since nineteen
seventy seven. This is literally the highest ranked road win
of my lifetime. And it happened today when a lot
of people, and I have to be honest, at times,

(05:19):
I was wavering. A lot of people had given up
on the season, and instead they come and get that victory.
I want to give a shout out to some players.
First of all, Dion Walker, I mean Dion Walker was
aw double team the entire game. Still made a ton
of plays, was able to for most of the game
completely clog up the middle. He had one drive where

(05:40):
I think he got really tired and they were able
to run up the middle. He missed a tackle at
one point. But besides that, absolute hoss the defense, especially
on the corners without Maxwell Harriston. In a lot of times,
Lane Kiffin would put him where they were in one
on one situations where it was one guy and he
had to make a tackle, and then they would do
it probably four or five plays down the stretch where

(06:01):
there's only one guy that could make a tackle. He
would make it stop them before they could get a
first down. Those were huge plays. Obviously, Baryon's play was amazing.
Dang key though in the first half, I mean dange key,
catch after catch after catch, including a couple of hard ones,
and then I think he got gotta give a big
shout out to Brock Vandygriff. Not perfect, but pretty good.

(06:23):
I mean, let's just be real, We've never had a
quarterback in my lifetime go win on the road in
a top ten against the top ten team. He didn't
throw everything perfect, but he was pretty good. If I
had any complaint. Maybe a couple times he held onto
the ball too long, but his decisions really weren't that bad,
and when he threw it he pretty much had it

(06:45):
on target. Dane had one or two drops, Cattis had
a couple drops, Macklin had a drop, but most of
his incompletions weren't on him and then those big throws
down the stretch. He deserves a huge amount of praise.
It is a great win for Kentucky. They get a
buy next week, they have three winnable games after that,

(07:06):
and look, I'm not gonna sit here and say they're
gonna make the playoff. I don't think they probably will.
But a nine to three Kentucky team that would have
a road win at Old Miss, if they could sneak
one of those Texas and Tennessee games. I'm not saying.
I'm just saying, if you could sneak one of them.
You know, I'm not saying. I'm just saying. First though,

(07:29):
you get a week off and you gotta play Vandy,
and we know that's been a problem a couple times,
but it will be an awesome week off. The fan
base is still gonna be completely rejuvenated, and I hope
Lexington I saw pictures and videos. I hope Lexington is
having as much fun as the Kentucky fans are here.
I've said this many times on my show. There is

(07:52):
no outside of maybe a Final four or when there's
a last second shot in the NCAA tournament, a lot
of the Aaron Harrison ones. I'm not sure there's a
better feeling as a sports fan than a football team
winning a big game on the road. I haven't been
to many when they've won. I was at Stoopas's first

(08:14):
big road win at South Carolina, and that one was
really special. But this is the best one I've ever
been a part of. Probably one or two of those
Louisville ones that they've stolen were pretty good, but this
one's pretty pretty much up there. And I will finish
with this. You know, the old miss media fans, you know,

(08:34):
all of them were very hard on me all week
about my comments about the stadium. I will give them
a compliment. These are really nice people. Did we have
one person be mean to us while we were here?
Not really? I mean, like, seriously, I don't think I've
ever been to a road game where every single person
was nice except the woman who complained from old Miss Athletics.

(08:55):
But besides her, pretty much every single person was nice.
But what I said was not wrong. That stadium was
not loud, and I'll tell you when it got really
quiet right then when we were able to score and
miss that kick. I've never heard a stadium more silent
except for small chance of go big Blue all outside

(09:16):
the building. I'm here at Old Miss. We will take
your calls. I assume you all are happy. I want
to hear about it. I've had to do a lot
of football shows in my you know, fifteen years on
the air after bad losses. This has got to be
one of the best wins. I look forward to hearing
from you and all of you at Oxford. We have
had probably a couple hundred people try to come to this.

(09:38):
I'm sorry we tried to do it. They're being whiny,
but they're being whiny because they just took an l
on their home field. Cats get a victory right here
in Oxford. We'll take a break and be right back.
It's a local toilet Dealers KSR postgame show.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Lander Griff drops blips coming.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
He's throwing it up the far sideline and.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
It's cood brown at the thirty four.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
He's stay in town. I'm backing across the near side
of the thirty. Had the twenty out of the seventeen
yard line of old Miss wanna throw. Vandergrim dropped it
in the right into the hands of Brown streaking down
the left side. Billy I can't remember the last time
I attempted to jump that high. I mean when like

(10:19):
I that was one of the more shocking plays I
can Ever, I can't think of a Kentucky football playing
more shocking to me. You know, you go back to
like the Stevee got loose, or the LSU stop on
fourth down, or like the Florida to plays a few
years ago when we beat him on the road, Like
they were kind of set up where you knew we
had to make a play, and then we did. Billy

(10:40):
I had already, like I was already thinking we're gonna
have to get another three and out and get the
ball back. I didn't even consider that that could work.
And then when it did for sixty three yards, Billy
I lost it in that stadium.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
I hope so.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
And you know, we've been pretty critical of fourth down
calls this year, but Forte from their own nineteen yard
line we'll go down in history, I think.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
And you know, Lane had two different calls fourth and
two on their side of the field and punted both times. Now,
the analytics probably said those were the right plays, but
I'd be interested to hear if he would have second thoughts,
because I will say, you know my old thing that
I heard Bill Simmons say once, you always in football,

(11:23):
you if you're you don't want to do what the
other team wants you to do. And Billy in both circumstances,
I wanted him to punt, you know what I mean,
and both times he did so well. Uh Lane.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Kevin postgame commended Mark Stoops and said he did something
he probably had never done in his career and aired
it out there.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
He did air it out, Yeah he did. I mean
that that was a and I'll also give him credit.
You know, they called time out to I think the
play before. I didn't like it in the moment. I
thought they were wasting the time out, but I think
it made sure that they were set to make the
right decision. It is clear to me, based on the
fact that they didn't even come close to running off
the field, they were staying out no matter what. So

(12:03):
you got to give him a lot credit those that
you know, a lot of people have been critical about
his over conservative game management. He managed the end of
the first half perfectly this game. He managed the end
of the game perfectly this game. And then one more
person to give a shout out to bush Hamden. That
was an awesome, awesomely called game. If you had any

(12:24):
questions about him as the offensive coordinator, that was an
awesomely called game. And then Brad White, I mean you
just held Old Miss? How many times this year? You
think Old Miss will only score seventeen points? I bet
it's not many. I bet even the games they if
they lose, they'll still score twenty four thirty thirty one.
To hold them to seventeen on their home field. It's

(12:46):
just awesome, all right.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Who's up first, Ethan?

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Ethan, go ahead, Ethan.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Hey man, how's it going?

Speaker 1 (12:53):
I it was awesome. I'm not just saying that with
three of my really good well three of my really
good friends too, of my other rooms good friends staying
at their house, like, it's just been awesome.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Hey man. I just wanted to say I thought the
coaching staff did a good job of of a time management.
I thought he did a lot better than he did
in the Georgia game. You know, we held, we had
we controlled the times possession very well, and I'm just excited.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Man, Is this the.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
Biggest win we've had as a.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
In the in the football side of things, that we've
ever had in the program history or.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Well, I mean not the program history, probably, but I
mean it's the biggest road win. It's the biggest road win,
you know. Well, it's the highest ranks of my lifetime.
The only ones I can think of on the road
that were against teams this good. When we beat Louisville
when Lamar fumbled, that's a great road win. But then like,
all right, I mean go back before that. I mean,

(13:49):
how many really great teams have we beaten on the road?
That Florida team we beat the first time. I think
they ended up like eight and four, so they were good.
But you know, this is a team people having the playoffs, sir,
and now they actually go and win on the road.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Yeah, I agree. I I personally, I think, oh Misses
a bunch of frauds. You know, they didn't play anybody
the first four games of the year, and then we
come in there and just absolutely annihilate them.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
The well, we didn't annihilate them. I mean, let's be fair,
we didn't annihilate them. I mean, if they make the
field goal, we go to overtime. But we won.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Yeah, I got you. Well, it was a great time.
I'm I'm excited about the future.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Go Cats, Let's go baby, No Cats. I'm exact, I
agree completely. This is you know, whatever happens the rest
of the year, this is one Mark will be able
to uh hang his hat on. Is this one? I mean,
best road wind in my lifetime. That's an insane stat
in and of itself. What's next?

Speaker 4 (14:45):
J C?

Speaker 1 (14:46):
J C? How are you? JC? Good Man?

Speaker 4 (14:49):
This is JC from Auburn. I just want to give
a big shout out to Dame t for that first
half performance and also to Bush Hampton because that first
half script was awesome.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
I'll hang up and give me your thoughts, man, I
thought both those. Yes, I mean Bush Hampden man. You know,
we were joking in my friends and I in the crowd.
I mean it was there was a lot of quarterback
drawl and in the second half we really weren't able
to run the ball much. But when they adjusted and
we weren't able to run. Brock made throws, you know,
brought made throws and they he schemed a lot of

(15:18):
guys open. You know, we talked about the two drops
on one of those late drives Jordan Dingle. Yeah, is
is wide open and the ball gets tipped. But if
it doesn't get tipped, that was a twenty yard pass
right there, Billy, that was schemed open. There was a
tight end screen earlier with Willie Rodriguez that worked perfectly,
you know. I mean, guys made big catches, especially Dane

(15:39):
and berry On but and Fred Ferrier made a couple
of good catches, but you know, the scheme was absolutely great.
Text machine is seven seven two seven seven four five
two five four. I know it's gonna be hard to
get in, so if you have stuff you want to say,
I'll read it here. By the way, for those of
you that keep knocking on the door at this building,
we can't let you in. I'm sorry, I mean I
want to let you in, but we specifically when the

(16:02):
when the old miss police were here, they were like,
you can't do it outside and they can't come in. So,
you know, I thought this was America. I thought that
Joe Biden's America, Hubby, where you can't do this? I
thought this was America. Boo Mississippi. What's next? Jake, Jake?
How are you? Jake? What's up? What's up?

Speaker 7 (16:24):
Man?

Speaker 8 (16:24):
I'm just gotta tell you my cow bell Jake first off,
and I just gotta tell you. I just got back
from the.

Speaker 9 (16:29):
Game on my way home.

Speaker 8 (16:31):
And let me tell you, Oh, miss is a bunch
of just wicked people. I mean flim Flamm, Ben Bam,
Hatty Toddy. What's going on?

Speaker 10 (16:39):
Matt?

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Are you are you? Wait?

Speaker 10 (16:42):
Man?

Speaker 1 (16:42):
You said you were cow Bell. Are you a Mississippi
State fan or a Kentucky fan? No?

Speaker 8 (16:47):
No, no, so in Mississippi last year, I took a calll.
This year I took a miss Below. Tell you what, Matt,
I'm not. I'm not backing down from anything. Uh Number
six went on the road.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
I mean, I mean Christmas, I agree with you. Appreciate
the call. I sat next to a Mississippi State fan today.
This kid, he was by himself. I don't know how
he ended up at the game, a Mississippi State fan
by himself who came just to root against old miss
Which Billy. You gotta love that hate right, like be
like me, like going to a Louisville game by myself

(17:21):
just to root against him. He was going as crazy
as the Kentucky fans, which I thought was was awesome. Uh.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
One thing I want to bring up, you know, as
unlucky as Kentucky's gotten with fumbles, the Gavin wims that
fumbles straight to Josh's.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Talk about that for a second. Okay, so they put
Gavin wims it in. You're right, that's the best break
in the world. First of all, what if Gavin Wimsy
had fumbled that and they recovered it, that would have
been one of those things that's criticized forever after how
good he's Brock had been playing. But then guess who

(17:53):
fumbles it or catches it. Josh Kattis who Billy had
dropped all those passes early in the game. Yep, So
it was kind of fitting the guy who's taken all
this criticism rightfully. So because I don't think he played well,
he falls on the ball. I didn't get a good
angle of that, Billy, was anyone else close to it
that was on the other end of the field, So
I couldn't really see it.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah, not really.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
It kind of just perfectly landed in his hands and
then he dove into the end zone.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Let me ask you a question. Another thing I couldn't see.
What did Berryon do for the unsportsman like? I never
saw or heard what it was.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Well, they didn't show it on TV, but I imagine
he just said something he's not allowed to say.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Yeah, I will tell you. The crowd was furious about
the pass that Old Miss caught that they called incomplete,
said it hit the ground. But again we didn't have
the best replays. But Billy, that looked to me like
it was incomplete. Is that right that it did hit
the ground?

Speaker 11 (18:48):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (18:48):
I think that.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Yeah, he didn't have complete control when it hit the ground.
The ball can hit the ground and it'd still be
a catch, but it was not in that instance.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Well, the crowd didn't like it. But but you know,
again back to the stadium, it's not exactly the highest
quality led boards in there. So it was kind of
like watching it, you know, on on my TV in
my room in nineteen eighty six, So I couldn't really
tell what happened. Who's next, EJ, what's up? What's up?

Speaker 5 (19:16):
Man?

Speaker 1 (19:16):
How are you doing? Great?

Speaker 7 (19:19):
Awesome?

Speaker 12 (19:20):
I'm just so happy about this this win because we
set the tempo on both offense and defense, and I
feel like, yeah, especially against a fast Yeah, especially against
a fast team like Old Miss. I think it really
gives me a lot of optimism versus Tennessee. And what
about that very first hit on that kickoff?

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Oh, that was a great hit, wasn't it? I mean
that was that was such a great hit. I mean
ended up not being a fumble, but that was such
a I mean he just leveled him and I thought
that set the tone for this team. Now, of course
they went down and scored five plays later, but that
was still a great hit. Who was that? Again? I
hate to keep asking, but was it? Willie? Okay? Got you? Yeah?

(19:57):
I hate to keep asking these questions, but you know,
I rarely sit in the stands for a football game,
and because my friends were here, I did here, and
I'm glad I did because that was That was a
lot of fun. What's the What was the time of possession? Billy?
Because it felt like we owned the ball?

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Oh, it's a lot too a little I gotta find it,
but it was Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
What the time of possession is? Because that I mean,
I think that was a key we held onto the ball.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
It was thirty twenty seventeen.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, exactly, so we had what sixty percent to twenty
sixty six percent, forty to twenty We had the ball
two thirds of the game. That's exactly what you had
to do to win.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Who's next, Jackson?

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Jackson? How are you? Jackson?

Speaker 13 (20:38):
I'm doing amazing, man. I couldn't honestly be better. I
got a few things to say. I heard a lot
of old Mis fans talking about the grove. The only
grove I know is the grove sweet party song that
we're gonna be.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Playing all night tonight.

Speaker 13 (20:50):
And the second thing you gotta say is good thing
for old Miss, that this game was early because the
libraries were too open.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Go Cats, go big. Yeah, it's right's gonna be. It's
gonna be cheaper to get in the library tonight. I
think you'll be. I won't do it, but if you
want to go, I bet it's not quite as expensive.
I'll give Old Miss credit for this. It doesn't seem
like losing stops their partying. They don't. There's just as
many people out there, Billy as I think there was
after they won a couple of years ago.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah, that's old mess.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
You got to give them, give them credit for that.
They don't is Louisville losing? Is that what I'm saying?

Speaker 3 (21:22):
They were down twenty four to fourteen last time I checked.
I'm not sure what it is.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Man, what a perfect day. If we could get a
Louisville loss too, that would be that would be heartbreaking.
And by the way, what about the dude running my
namesake Billy and faking that injury?

Speaker 3 (21:35):
What's that when Matt Jones fell down? Yeah, that was
pretty awful. And that was not the only time all
miss did that.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Look, there aren't a lot of well there are a
lot of Matt Joneses in this world. Don't be sully
in our name by going out there and faking injuries.
That was I saw that. That made me angry. By
the way, Yeah, Louisvill's down by ten to Notre Dame,
Auburn leeds Oklahoma by seven to b YU win.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
That was what they were killing them.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah, right, what's next? Zayne? How are you? Zane? I'm good?

Speaker 5 (22:06):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (22:07):
If we would have beat if we would have beat
if we would have.

Speaker 6 (22:10):
Beat South Carolina, what do you think we'd beat next week?

Speaker 7 (22:14):
Be ranked next week.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
And I don't want to do that if too much.
But I will say, if we'd beaten South Carolina, we
really would be looking at thinking about a way to
go to the playoffs. I mean we really would like
that's hard to say because we didn't beat South Carolina,
but if we had, it would be a different thing
because you know, Auburn, Florida, Vandy are not very good,

(22:39):
and then Louisville it's hard to know how good they
are yet, and then you have Tennessee and Texas. But
if you had beaten South Carolina, you might have been
able to lose to Tennessee in Texas and still go.
So it is what it is, ifs and butts. But
what do I think we'd have been ranked? If we
beat South Carolina played Georgia like we did, I'd say
we'd probably still be like seventeen or eighteen. But you know,

(23:00):
we've got a bunch of games we can win back
to back, so I think we could have risen quickly.

Speaker 6 (23:05):
Okay, thank you for say one more thing going under
Damon L's down.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Yeah, there you go. Five nine two eight oh twenty
two eighty seven, text Machine seven seven two seven seven
four five two five or people keep coming and banging
on the door. Billy, I wish, why are the old
miss play like? Well, it's told me. I'm not blaming
the police. Actually, I'm gonna blame old miss athletics. What
kind of what kind of rule is that, Billy? You
can't have a core going out of a building on

(23:29):
a game day?

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Yeah, that's sour grapes to me.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
I actually looked at the police officer to be fair.
He was a little hostile when he came in, and
then he calmed down a little bit and he actually
was laughing a little bit with me at the end,
and I said, I showed him the tweet I was
gonna send, and I said, I want to make sure
this is right. Are you okay if I send this?
And he said no, it's outside of of a door
or a window or like I'm not writing or a window.

(23:54):
I was like, I was not trying to, but he
wanted to be very clear. The rule is door or
a window, Billy?

Speaker 3 (23:59):
For future for well, it definitely must have been campus police,
because the Oxford Police Department are pretty cool and at
least online.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah, they actually wrote somebody wrote them and they said
it wasn't us. It was the old Miss, but I
to be honest, to be even fair to the old
Miss police, I think it was Ole Miss Athletics being
lame and considering how much trash Lane Kiffin talks, I
don't know that the athletic department should be that lame.
Who's next? Hack? Hack? What's up? Hack?

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Matt Quick compliments, you came up with good comparison. This
does measure up with Stevie gottlos fourth and eight and
a sixty four yard pass two minutes to go against
the top ten, and yes, it measures up. Second point,
I hate Louisville. I despise you of l Sports. But
if they play North Korea tomorrow, if they played with

(24:46):
Korea tomorrow, I'm sitting between Dennis Rodman and a fat
Asian cat with a fifth four aircut. But we've got
to cheer for Louisville to be an up floated top
ten with weak opponents coming in Commonwealth Kroger the last week.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
There's some truth to that. I mean, there's some truth
to that. I'm gonna need to see us before. I'm
not getting my hopes up about anything crazy because I
won't see the need to see us beat Vanderbilt take
care of business against Auburn and go win it Florida.
But you are right, Well, I'm not worried about Murray State,
but you are right that, uh, you're correct that there's
you know, there's world where things would happen where we

(25:24):
need Louisville to be good coming into that game. I'm
not ready to do that yet. You also, you look
at their schedule. Besides Notre Dame, the only team good
they play is Clemson, So like, I think they cannot
be very good and still if they lose today, be
nine and two when they come to us.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Yeah, in Georgia truck Clemson.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
So yeah, yeah, who knows. I appreciate the call. We'll
beat Louisville of all the games left on the schedule.
We're gonna We're gonna take a break. Eight five, nine, two,
twenty two eighty seven. An awesome day, Billy. Do I
sound giddy? I feel like I sound giddy.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Oh yeah, yeah, and you should.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Well I am. That's fun. We're a fun tonight.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
They're burning couches on State Street.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Our friend Melissa, we're staying wiched. He cooks the best food.
Uh is that not right? Nick? I mean it's the
best food. So it's it's great to be here at Oxford.
We'll take a break and be right back. This is
the local Toyer Dealers KSR post game show. Welcome back.
It is the local Toyota Dealers KSR post game show
here and right outside of the grove. In a building

(26:27):
right outside of the grove in Oxford, one person writes,
Matt I was very mad at Barry and Brown for
his penalty, and then I loved him for the catch.
You know what, the penalty was stupid. Penalty was really stupid.
I don't know what he said, but it must have
been bad because people are yelling all the time. And
if it was that bad, but you know what, he
made up for it. Barry on giveth, barryon taketh away.

(26:50):
But in this case he finished with the giveth. And
I'm glad we had him. He was complaining a lot
during the game about not getting the ball a lot.
As a matter of fact, I thought to myself because
we were right behind the UK bench, and I thought
to myself, man on the post game, I may have
to say something about this. Well, you know what, he
got the ball and he made it work. So listen,
if you're gonna talk, you know, you gotta back it up.

(27:11):
And he talked, and he backed it up. Who's up next, Billy?

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Nate's next?

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Nate, go ahead and Nate. Hey, Man, how are you
doing this afternoon?

Speaker 5 (27:19):
Man?

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Well, I'm doing great? How are you, Bud? I'm excited.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
Man, Hey, I just got one thing to say, and
I'm gonna hang.

Speaker 14 (27:28):
Up and let you have the rest of the day.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
But how about them cats? Baby, how about them cats?
How about them cats? That's exactly right. I appreciate it. It is.
It's a good day. If I was there, Billy, the
only the only bad thing about me being here is
if I was there, I'd probably go, like to the
bar tonight and buy everybody drinks. Now I can't do it.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
You could probably still do it. You can still buy
everybody a.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Drink, because there's like a rule, like you have to
be there and you have to like it's there's the rule.
The ABC rules are crazy in Kentucky. So because now
you could go do it, as you're.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Not the owner, I don't have the capital for that
but to do that right now.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
But if you'd like to do do go do it.
Why don't you go you. That would be good. You
want to go do that for everybody, Billy, celebrate your
hay bail talks.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Contest. They didn't give me any money.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
That's right, they didn't give you any money.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Who's next, John, John?

Speaker 1 (28:17):
How are you? John?

Speaker 5 (28:19):
Hey Matt.

Speaker 9 (28:20):
I've been down here walking around this uh the grove
all day, walking around feeling like that.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
You know, we had a chance.

Speaker 9 (28:27):
Some pledges from some random fraternity ran up grabbing my
UK hat ran off. I was like, you know what,
I'm not gonna get mad. I'll see you after the game.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
And you know what, Stoops pulled through. Here.

Speaker 9 (28:38):
I am walking around the grove, nobody wanted to make
eye contact. I'm saying that UK is here to stay
and Stoops is a winner.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Yeah. Well, I'm uh uh, I'm glad you get to
walk around. And like I said, I've said this many times,
I appreciate it. There is nothing better than being at
a road game when you win and walking around you
know they can't don't really say anything to you. You
went so a true story here, Billy. I we were
walking out, we were kind of in this little like

(29:06):
when you leave. It's actually not the safest way to
leave a stadium. There's only like two or three corridors
and they're very narrow. I actually thought to myself, this
is a very dangerous way to leave a stadium. But
we got kind of stuck in one of these billy
and like it was very you couldn't get out either way, right,
So you're just kind of funneled into a place. And
there was a guy next to me that my friend

(29:28):
Jason said, clearly had a look like he knew who
I was and he wanted to say something to me,
right he was he was like an old miss. I
think he was like a frat guy, right, And he's
staring at me and he's trying to figure out what
to say. And according to my friend, he looked at
his girlfriend and said, I'm saying something to him, and
she goes, don't do that, and he said, I'm saying
something to him. She was like, don't do that. And

(29:50):
you want to know what he said. I heard him
say this what he's saying, Matt Jones, what you just
go vote for Kamala? And I was like, that's the
best you can do. He had like he had like
two minutes, billy to come up with something, and that
was the best thing he could come up. And that
was the only trash talk I got after the game.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
That's surprising, you know, Ryan getting sucker punched at South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Drewsman attacked fans.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
They are nice fans, and uh, you know, and what
are they gonna say? We just beat him in their
house And everything I said about their stadium was correct.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Who's next, Doughty Toddy? Todd is next, Todd?

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Go ahead, Todd?

Speaker 10 (30:28):
Hello man.

Speaker 7 (30:29):
Uh.

Speaker 14 (30:30):
I wanted to make a comment. I thought the offensive
blind showed up a lot of improved but today I.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Agree they weren't perfect, and they they I thought they
struggled in the first half, but then in the second
half they gave Brock a lot of time and I
actually thought a couple of the sacks brought took. We're
kind of on him for holding it too long. First half.
I think it was harder. But in the second half,
I thought they did well exactly.

Speaker 14 (30:55):
And you know, you they can on want to balk
for so long you to get rid of the ball,
you know, but.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
They have a really good defensive line. Remember they led
the country coming in this game in rushing defense.

Speaker 14 (31:08):
By the way, Oh wow, I didn't I wouldn't wear
of that. And I wanted to say too about there
at number one for Mississippi that played on the end
there on defense. He was lining up in the neutral
zone if you go back and look at that in
the neutral zone. And they never did call it. But

(31:30):
when we at the end of the game, when we recovered.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
When was off sides? Yeah, he that was close. Where
was he off sides? It was? It was very close.

Speaker 14 (31:42):
I thought he was. But I also thought that other
guy was too. That they never did call that. They
waited it, you know, but anywhile, go ahead, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
I said, I would just.

Speaker 14 (31:57):
Tickle today we got this win today that it really
feels good.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
I totally agree with you. I appreciate the call. The
program needed this. If you see the videos I've tweeted
out two videos in the locker room. If you see
the videos in the locker room, I don't know how
you can't you can't be happy. I mean, you know, listen,
a football coach. I don't feel sorry for football coaches.
They make, you know, with the big time jobs. March

(32:22):
Soups makes nine million dollars. But I will say this,
I don't care how much money you make when everybody's
coming at you. That doesn't feel good. Okay, I don't
care how much money you make. You can make a
zillion dollars. If everybody's coming at you, it's not always easy.
But they stayed in the course. And if you had
told just just be honest with yourself after that South
Carolina game, if I had told you they will play
Georgia within one point and they'll beat Old Miss, would

(32:45):
you have believed that? Would you have believed that? No,
you would not have. So you have to give them
a lot of credit. And now they're three and two
with winnable games coming up. It's exciting. Who's next? Chuck
Chuck twenty two eighty seven, Go ahead.

Speaker 15 (33:01):
Chuck, Hey, Matt, go CAATs, Go Cats, Go Cats.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 15 (33:07):
So I just said there was a few things with
the game. It was an awesome game, So proud of
the Cats. But it seems like for thirty years that
I've been watching UK football, we've been super unlucky, you know,
the Bluegrass Miracle and all that, And we got some
breaks today and I'm just really thankful that the luck win.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
In our favor.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Today.

Speaker 15 (33:27):
Is a great game, and wanted to talk to you
about that. And with two losses, do you think there's
any way that we could make it into the top
twenty five or you think we'll have to wait further on.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
They'll put us in the top twenty five. Yet, I mean,
I think just by sort of over time, we might
get in when other teams lose games, you know what
I mean. But like, you're three and two. What was
your first question? You said something before that I wanted
to dress and I blanked on the first question. What
was it?

Speaker 2 (33:54):
I don't remember. I was on the phone. I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Okay, Well maybe somebody can text it too. I mean
I didn't on the second point. I don't think we'll
be in the top twenty five, but we might. It
kind of depends on who wins and loses today. But
I will say this, they're one of the twenty to
twenty five best teams in the country. I mean I
think that. Look, you can't take away the South Carolina game,

(34:17):
But let's say that game hadn't occurred, Billy, you would
think this is a top ten or twelve team, right
if that game hadn't occurred. Yes, they blow out Southern miss,
they blow out Ohio, play Georgia within one went on
the road, this would be a top ten or twelve team. Now,
the South Carolina game occurred, so you can't skip over that,
but they I will say this, this is a top

(34:40):
ten defense. I genuinely believe that. I mean even the
South Carolina game, ten of the points were not on
the defense. It was a you know, a pick six
and a fourth down that turned into a quick field goal.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
So they did that today without Maxwell Harriston too.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Yeah, without well Harston. I mean that's that's also kind
of amazing to cover those receivers. And you know, Jackson
Dart sorry he's not a Heisman candidate. I mean he's not.
He was good, but he's not great. And the big
play of the game that fourth two of those fourth
down throws, I think it was more the receiver that
made those plays than it was Jackson Dart. The Harris

(35:19):
kid is great. There was that receiver that broke it
for a touchdown. Yeah, and then the kid at the end.
You know, I still don't know why a guy didn't jump.
Maybe he cramped or something, but like why didn't he jump?

Speaker 2 (35:32):
I think he lost it.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Maybe that's what happened, but like he didn't even jump
that was right in front of me, and I didn't
understand that.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Who's next, Dwayne, Dwayne?

Speaker 1 (35:43):
What's up Dwayne?

Speaker 6 (35:45):
Not much, Matt. First of all, I'd like to give
props to Billy R Sports for his second best showing
for the weekend the Cats.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Uh, that's a pretty I can give him that, Billy.

Speaker 6 (35:58):
After after today he comes in second. But the Cats,
every year we've had the defense and the offense has
never locked up and been good both years. And I
think now our defense is great and our offense is
coming along. We're they're not great, but they're really they're
starting to get really good. Today's offense of game was

(36:21):
really good, and we've got offensive defense now that's really
good together, and I think we're just getting ready to
start to roll. And I just look at one or
two games left on this left in the season that
that gives me trouble. But other than that, I think
I think we can die.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
I think you make a really good point about how
the defense has been I think, really good from the beginning,
but this offense has gotten better every week, right every week.
I still, you know, still have concerns with the offensive line,
but they're better than they were two three, weeks ago.
I think, you know, we talked in the pregame, is
we don't know what to think of Brock. I think
you can now say Brock is a good quarterback. I

(36:58):
don't know if he's gonna be great, but I think
he's good and you can win with him. Do you
agree with that?

Speaker 6 (37:05):
I totally agree with that. And I think the offensive line,
I think after that South Carolina game, they said they
probably they probably sat in the meeting room with their
coach and they looked at themselves and said, we can't
do this. We can't do this. We sucked today. We
can't do this, and we got to get better. And
the offensive line has got better every week. I don't

(37:26):
have enough problem with them at all. There was a
couple of plays today where I thought Vander Grip should
have got rid of the ball a little earlier and
saved him and he held on to it and took
a sack. But other than that, I thought today they.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
I thought after halftime. I thought after halftime. In past protection,
they played really really well first half. There was a
couple of times that they didn't. There were a couple
of times Day and barry On were wide open and
he just didn't have enough time to throw it in
the second half. I agree with you the couple sacks
he took, I thought where he held on to it
just a little too long. But you know, in a
couple of those that was third down, I think he

(37:59):
was They probably weren't the worst things to take. He
took one sack I really didn't like when I'm trying
to think what the play was when we were in
field goal range and he took a sack in the
second half that took us out of field goal range.
I think that was in the third quarter. But in general, man,
I'm nippicking. They just beat out Ole Miss on the
road for the highest road victory since nineteen seventy seven.

Speaker 6 (38:20):
You got to be oh, yeah, that's because I was
screaming at the TV too.

Speaker 5 (38:23):
Thing.

Speaker 6 (38:23):
You can't take us factor, you can't take us bactor.
But the good part is we got a bye week
and then we got two or three games that I mean,
we should be favored in the next three games. If
not favored, I mean just the one or two point
just the one game.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Yeah, well, the next three it's it's it's Vandy. Is
it Vandy?

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Then?

Speaker 1 (38:43):
And that's the next three in order, and then Tennessee.

Speaker 5 (38:48):
Yeah, and then what is it?

Speaker 1 (38:49):
Tennessee, Murray State, Texas, Louisville. Is that how we finished?

Speaker 3 (38:52):
Vandy, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Murray State, Texas, Louisville.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Yeah. So Vandy, Florida, Auburn, you win all three of those,
You're six and two going into Tennessee game, and I
think the mindset then becomes, let's win one of these
and that's not going to be easy, all right, But
like you, you're all of a sudden playing a game
in November, sir, that matters, and that's all you can

(39:19):
ask for.

Speaker 6 (39:19):
Right, Winning one of them? Two games is a monumental task,
but it is.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
It's a monumental. But so was this? So was this?

Speaker 10 (39:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (39:27):
After I mean after today, I mean we could do it.
I mean I would. I would pick winning at Tennessee
more than winning at Texas.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
I mean they're struggling away now, aren't they. Am I
right about that? Like it's almost halftime and they're only
up by seven? I think against Missippi State, who's awful.

Speaker 6 (39:43):
So oh, I've been watching the Louisville game wanting them
get beat.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Yeah, all right, Well, I appreciate the call. Let's take
a break. We'll take our final break eight five nine
two eight twenty two eighty seven. Actually they're only up
by one, yeah, seven to six, just forty five seconds
left in the first half, so you know what, Missing
State lost by about a thousand.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
The spread was thirty eight yeah, a five.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Nine twenty two eighty seven. We'll take a break, come
back for our final segment. This is the local toylet
Dealers KSR postgame show off. The right hash part. Davis
is a right footed kicker, so he has to pull
this back to the left a little bit to try
and tie the game with fifty three seconds left, a
little bit of a low step and they get it
down kicks.

Speaker 6 (40:23):
On the leg.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Know that holding by.

Speaker 14 (40:31):
Forty eight seconds to play, an old mess comes up empty.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Yes, yes, that's how I felt. I can't I can't,
I mean, I can't believe we won. I couldn't believe
Barryon's catch and then to fumble it and Caddis falls
on it, and then they get that bomb Billy, and
you thought, well, there you go, here it is again,

(40:58):
and then he misses the kick had and then there
was the fumble and with the with the off sides.
I mean, there were those are like foreign plays that
never happened for Kentucky, like they you never get that
berry on pass. You never get if we fumble in
the end zone, we recover. I mean, once you drop
once the one of those fourth and eleven's happened, we're

(41:19):
always done. And then you the off sides in the
fumble and then he misses the kid like. I mean,
sometimes the adversity makes the win sweeter. And I think
that's one of these cases. I mean, And I was
sitting there thinking, Uh, while we were waiting for this
to start, Billy, I was trying to think of my
favorite in person UK sports moments, and if I were

(41:44):
to list them, I'm gonna say, you're talking about in
person all sports, right, I think, in yeah, all sports.
I think in was it ninety three that we won
the SEC tournament in Birmingham or ninety two one of
those years? No, No, we lost that year because the

(42:05):
final was Arkansas Alabama. So I guess that was the
last SEC tournament I went to with my grandfather. We lost,
but I remember I had a wonderful time. It was
the last time I got to go with him. Then
I would say the Aaron Harrison Louisville stuff when we
beat him in Indianapolis, Brandon Knight in Newark when we

(42:27):
went to the final four, even though it wasn't a moment,
the National Championship obviously in New Orleans, the SEC Tournament
with John Walling de Marcus Cousins when they beat Mississippi State.
Then I would say on football in person, for me,
you're basically talking Stevie got loose and this. I mean,

(42:53):
I think these are the two for me. I wasn't
at the Lamar game. I've told the story about leaving
the La Shoe game and then yeah, like I wasn't
at Florida, So I think this is I mean for me, like,
it's this and Stevie got loose, and so how can
you not how can you not enjoy it? Who's next? Reid?

(43:16):
Go ahead? Read?

Speaker 7 (43:19):
Hey, how's going?

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Matt doing great? I'll tell you what more. Mississippi State.
Mississippi State. When McGinnis made the kick that I think
might have saved Mark Stoop's job. You remember that that
that that one was great too. I was there for that.
Go ahead?

Speaker 7 (43:37):
Hey, I think Mark Seukes took a long look in
the mirror and he said, hey, man, to win these
ball games, I gotta start rolling the dosci a little bit.
He started rolling and looked all happy for him, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
I think he did that too. I think that there
are four or five plays that he did during the
game that I thought were very uncharacteristic for him. But
that worked right right, So there, Well, I'll give you an
example the fourth and seven where they scored a touchdown.
We blitzed and you know it didn't work, But that's

(44:13):
not like him. Normally they would have set back and
zone and made him and maybe they should have I
don't know. But last week against or against Georgia, I
was mad that they didn't blitz in that situation. So
I thought, well, I'm not going to criticize him for
blitzing in this situation. But my point is he took
chances that I agree with you are not necessarily what
he would normally do.

Speaker 7 (44:31):
All right, end up winnings Bowl game, and that's going
to get down to shout out to my boys, Peyton, Kobe,
go Cats.

Speaker 1 (44:38):
Go Cats.

Speaker 5 (44:39):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
There are no I will say there weren't a lot
of Kentucky fans here most of them were in one
corner kind of well, you see, there are videos of
stoops walking off to that corner. That's not where I was.
I was next to the ole Miss student section and
there were only like thirty near me, But those thirty
were loud. Shout out to all those guys and women

(45:03):
we were all day. I feel like they're my best
friends and I don't even know their names.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
Who's next, Steven's.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
Next, Steven, what's up, Steven?

Speaker 5 (45:11):
Hey man? The fact that they also rode a basketball
go out.

Speaker 16 (45:15):
With our logo on it and dunked on it after
they scored that touchdown.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
Wait a minute, hang on, our logo was one.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
Yes and then well, I didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
I didn't know they do. I didn't know that. I
heard they did that, but I did not know that
was our logo. Well there you go.

Speaker 16 (45:34):
Yeah, and they come back to bite them.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
That's all I want to go cat appreciate. Well, you know,
Lane Kiffin talks a lot of trash. I kind of
like him for it. I like I like trash talking
as long as it doesn't go too far, and I
don't think he really goes too far. He usually seems
to have fun but you know what, if you do that,
you lose, Well you get the result we're going to
get now, which is a lot of happen.

Speaker 8 (45:57):
You know.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
Lane Kiffin posted me on his Instagram today. Did you
see that? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Yeah, did you say that this morning?

Speaker 1 (46:02):
Yeah? But then he deleted it. He deleted it or
somebody deleted it. Well it's not up there now. Well
you posted it this morning. Well, but I think it
was off during the game. He posted it this morning
and then it's not on there now because I was
gonna screenshot it and uh and tweet it out and
he and it wasn't there. Who's next? We got five?
We'll do five more than him called.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
By the way, you mentioned McGinnis. You know, Rainer is solid.
He is really how many is that in row?

Speaker 1 (46:28):
Fourteen twelve? Last game? How many do you get? This
one he got? Uh, let's see, he got to this game,
so he's got fourteen in a row. Yeah, And it's
almost like it's nice to do it. It reminds me
of Austin because I just assume he's gonna make it,
you know what I mean, Like when we get in
field goal range. That's why I was so mad when
Brock took that sack because I was like, well, we
definitely would have three points if you don't take a sack. So, yeah, who's.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Next, Matt and Tampa.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
Matt and Tampa. Go ahead.

Speaker 11 (46:56):
Yeah, let's shout out Odds trainer for sure, because you
know almost he does not know what Mark Poop is
about to bring to them. But no, I really want
to shout out Pop.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Don't say Mark Pope. You gotta be excited about Mark Stoops.
That's who one today.

Speaker 11 (47:18):
No, no, no, But they're like bringing up something that's going
to come in December.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
The basketball. Go okay, gotcha, gotcha? Right?

Speaker 11 (47:28):
But I want to shout out Cadits. You know, like
I remember seeing him drop that pass and I think
it was like the third or fourth quarter, and he dropped.

Speaker 1 (47:37):
He dropped two big passes and he missed a huge
block there. Yeah, but he had three really bad plays.
But then he makes the plate to score the touchdown.

Speaker 11 (47:49):
Yeah, and he walks behind Mark uh Morrow and Marrow
doesn't even look at him acknowledge him. You know, he
was like disappointed, But you know, I was so proud
of him for coming out there and just you know,
just making that play, right, you know, and just making
his coach proud, so so very proud of him for
doing that.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
But there were a lot of people, there are a
lot of people online who were very much, you know, uh,
wanting him to go out. Because then he goes out
for a while and Willie Rodriguez makes a big play.
Dingle was open. They didn't give him the ball, but
he was open. But then you but then Caddis, you know,
I know, Vince has a lot of a lot of

(48:30):
confidence in Caddus puts him back in and he gets
that touchdown, right.

Speaker 11 (48:35):
So just just just having that Kentucky faith, you know,
like because the fourth quarter to all of us was
up and down. We're gonna win this, we're gonna lose this,
We're gonna win this, We're gonna lose this kind of vibe.

Speaker 16 (48:46):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (48:46):
To have Caddis just come through and have that big,
big catch.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
Just was huge, huge.

Speaker 11 (48:52):
I know you're big for the BBN, and yeah, I
just toug myself, you know, I loved it.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Well, I appreciate the call. Are you seeing these crowds outside.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
Of Alabama Alabama get in?

Speaker 1 (49:04):
Oh my goodness, I mean, I you know, I know
there's a lot of people probably happy that that Trump
is there today, But like, man, the security.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Asshole, who you got in this game?

Speaker 1 (49:15):
For some reason, I want I'm picking Alabama. I don't know.
I mean Alabama's kind of owned Georgia there. I mean
George Georgia doesn't lose except Alabama. I don't know. For
some reason I'm picking Alabama, but I I don't know.
I just looking at these lines. Good night. That would
be awful. What's next?

Speaker 2 (49:33):
Bones?

Speaker 1 (49:34):
Bones? What's up? Bones?

Speaker 10 (49:36):
Matthew Hartford Jones. What a day is to be a
fan of the Catch?

Speaker 5 (49:40):
Baby?

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Right?

Speaker 10 (49:42):
Two quick things?

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Man?

Speaker 10 (49:44):
One, Layane Kiffin ain't gonna give us the credit we
deserve because he just doesn't appreciate the top football we played.
But for two, let's talk about all the fake injuries
and how there's nothing. Yeah, I mean the commentators are
on it, but I mean Dark tells him to go
down and he doesn't even get it, and they show
him point to the ground. He's pauls it, doesn't even

(50:05):
like faw in pain. He just sits there like looking aram.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Yeah, the fake injuries, I hate it. You know, I'm
not gonna say who I think we did it once,
but I think they did it about seven or eight times.
I hate it, the fake injuries thing, Like that's got
to stop. I mean, the Matt Jones one is obviously
the most, the most blatant, but I think there were
a couple more during the game. Like I just I

(50:29):
hate that. I get it. I mean part of the tempos,
but we're not I mean, O missed it. We're not
even playing tempo. So I just think it's I just
think it's dumb. They did it on that one because
they weren't ready, they didn't have their play in, so
he faked an injury.

Speaker 10 (50:44):
Yeah, but on our last drive there, instead of calling
tom Ouse to try to save tom he faked it
at least three times down there, so they didn't have
to use any of their tom Ouse to try to
preserve the time for the office to try to come down.
Something's gotta change, brother, But anyway, damn, the rest go catch.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
I totally agree with you, Like, that's a really good Uh,
it's a really good point. I appreciate the call. I mean,
Kiffin is using it as a strategy and and I
mean I get it. If they don't call the penalty
at some point, you know, what do you I guess
you're encouraging him to do it, but it is lame.
I mean it's lame. It was lame when who was
it that did it for Louisville? Was that Chris Jones

(51:23):
who had the blatant flop that one year with us
they got hitting the nose. That was kind of the
Matt Jones will though the whole country has called out.
By the way UNLV up twenty one to nothing in
the game with their new quarterback, that would be the
worst thing for him, the guy that transferred. If the
new quarterback's better than him, that would that would probably

(51:43):
make his decision, uh not the best? What's next?

Speaker 2 (51:46):
Three more?

Speaker 1 (51:47):
Zeb zeb what's up?

Speaker 5 (51:51):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (51:51):
Mat? I'll be queen. Hey, what's up? Oh?

Speaker 15 (51:53):
No, come, I'm just sitting here enjoying a little bit
of Kentucky's finance and it's really good right now?

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Good, there's a lot of it around here. You ain't kidding.

Speaker 15 (52:02):
Uh So I'm sitting out here in my garage by myself,
screaming at my TV.

Speaker 8 (52:07):
You know, fourth and eleven?

Speaker 1 (52:08):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 8 (52:09):
My thing?

Speaker 1 (52:09):
They thought I was.

Speaker 16 (52:10):
Having a stroke and I almost did.

Speaker 17 (52:13):
But other than that, this is for the people who
said I'm selling my season tickets.

Speaker 5 (52:18):
Uh stoops, has got to go all that.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
I hope they sold their tickets. Yeah, you know it too,
because that was stupid when people after the South Carolina
game sold their tickets and I went on Facebook and
there's all these people getting rid of that was stupid.
That was a horrible game. People had a right to
be upset, but the whole like it's over. You know,
I hate when people do that. And you're exactly right.

(52:42):
I mean, you can even be mad at the coach,
but you should not go to the games and et cetera.
So I'm with you on that exactly.

Speaker 9 (52:48):
Everybody throws a turd in every now and then, whether
it's life or football.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
You know, it just happens. But totally agree with you.

Speaker 4 (52:55):
Yeah and uh and oh one more thing for Billy.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
Hey, hey, hey, nice job, Champ. Okay, look at Billy
getting all these props. It's too many for my you know,
my taste. I think he needs to get you know,
he just barely won.

Speaker 2 (53:13):
It's a win.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
Win's a win.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
I'm not going but that a last.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
The first of all, I gotta say this to you
because I because I know Shannon's not listening. You got it.
You need to just lay it on, Shannon. I mean,
because not only did you win, because you can make
fun of all of us for the fact you want
but him coming and last, and by the way, for
people who didn't see it, last by a lot, like
like Ryan and Billy were right next to each other,
and then me, Mario and Drew were kind of just

(53:41):
a little bit behind him, and then Shannon was like
in a different area code.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
Yeah, he'll have some excuses on Monday.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
Let him do that. You deserve, You deserve to be
able to rest. Who's next, Chris, Chris, what's up? Chris?

Speaker 17 (53:58):
Hey, guys, how are you look good?

Speaker 4 (54:00):
I got one word for you this week.

Speaker 17 (54:01):
One word this week disrespect. It started with Billy, right,
he got no resceipt, right, and that just in this game.
It just rolled in this game, Lane Kiffin living on
TikTok coach your team too, backboard with the UK logo
on the sideline, give me a break. When I saw that,

(54:24):
I knew this game was ours. So I just wanted
to finish this game off with the word disrespect and
the fact that karma comes into play and I'm happy
for it. This week go, Kate.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
I love it. I love all that. That's exactly right.
I think that's a really good way to put it.
Nothing is as good a motivator as disrespect. I know
that's true in my life, and I think that was
true for this UK football team. And it was great
to see their joy today after the game and on
the sidelines. That was That was awesome. By the way.
The Georgia Alabama game on at Kaspar tonight. Come celebrate

(54:56):
and see everybody these days where we're on the road.
Nice for all the servers if people go, and just
nice for the restaurant. But also tomorrow Beingles play Bingles,
gotta win tomorrow who they play the Panthers, especially by
Red Rocket. Gotta win that. That's at one o'clock. Uh,
we'll have all the NFL games there as well, So
come on out, and you know, one of the next

(55:18):
week's a bye week, so we get some time to
enjoy this victory. Let's do one more and we'll call
it a night. Who's out, Matt, Matt, Go ahead, Matt, Hey.

Speaker 16 (55:27):
Matt, it's uh. I'm down here in the meatpacking district
in New York City.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
Okay, streets just hit the.

Speaker 16 (55:34):
Table, I got a brother Patrick listening in Opera, Ghana
right now.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
In Ghana, you said.

Speaker 16 (55:41):
In Ghana, yepa.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
District, in the meatpacking district to Ghana. That's all. That's cool, yep, yep.

Speaker 16 (55:51):
So we're all very happy.

Speaker 6 (55:53):
Uh.

Speaker 16 (55:53):
And you know we were right where we're supposed to
be if people thought we were gonna lose the the Georgia.

Speaker 5 (56:00):
Uh.

Speaker 16 (56:00):
I'm just I'm so happy for Stupis. He's the most
Handsome Man Alive.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
I like it.

Speaker 16 (56:06):
Yes, just a huge win and.

Speaker 1 (56:12):
I love the Handsome Man Alive. Reminds me of the
wrestlers that we have in OVW that are making it big.
Appreciate the calling aw they call it. They're like both
in their forties and they're kind of just getting a
break the outrunners, and they call themselves Billy the Youngest
Men Alive. I like that. But I think that's a
great tagline and I like that too, the most Handsome
Man Alive. Well, this was an awesome day. I want

(56:34):
to thank all the people who listen to the show
and all the people here. Every person I've seen in
UK gear has talked about KSR and been awesome. This
was a great day and thank you to all the
people who help make it. This will be one I'll
remember for a long time. And as far as going forward, Hey,
Kentucky's three and two, got the week off next week,

(56:57):
then got Big Blue Madness, you got Fandy coming to town.
It's on this year that we were very excited about.
It's back on. You know, we're one more went away
from talking to some folks. So just it's an exciting
time in UK football. Thank you to Billy, Thanks to
everybody who made this show and day possible. Enjoy the win, folks,

(57:18):
cats best road victory since nineteen seventy seven, the fifth
