A scam email has been going around in recent weeks that has been so concerning, several local police departments have issued warnings about it. The scammer tells you that they're able to spy on you through your computer or your phone, and they then threaten to release a bunch of info about you if you don't pay up. How do these emails work? Who is behind all this? Why is this one making such a mark?
