Speaker 1 (00:00):
And an exclusive interview with David Bassey for Dodger Talker.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It can always be said in the history books that
Ben Wartbitt caught Clayton Kershaw's final regular season start. What
was that like for you?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Yeah, it was. It was really cool. It was really special.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Little nerve wracking, actually, I mean, it means a lot.
It's an honor to do it. So I really just
wanted to make through her clean and it turned out
he threw really well, and I know it was a lot
of fun.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, I guess maybe for the teammates on the field
it was a little bit more nerve wracking than for him.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
Everyone just wants to wants him to throw out. We
want to do what we can. We want to do
it for him. I mean, he's such a great guy,
great teammates did it for such a long time. We
just want him to end on a great note.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
You've done this a couple of times with Kershaw. What
was the preparation like before the game?

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Anything different, same thing, same thing, his steady as always
and didn't change a thing.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
It was. It was great.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Your bullpen catcher, Chico told me yesterday his fastball had
a lot of life.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Did you see that today.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Yeah, he was throwing it around, filling up his own
I mean it was vintage.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
It was vintage before I let you go.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Freddie Freeman coming out to take him out of the game.
What was that exchange like on the mound?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
That was really cool. He kept it light. Those two
were really close, so that was really cool.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Hey Ben, hopefully you keep something from today's game. This
is history.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Yeah, a bunch of memories, A bunch of memories for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Thank you for stopping you. I appreciate it.
