Speaker 1 (00:00):
And now an exclusive interview with David Bassey for Dodger Talker.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
We are live at Dodger Stadium. After the Dodgers win
their first playoff game ten to five. Blake Snell, with
his first postseason appearance as a Dodger, deals no doubt,
seven innings, ninth strikeouts. How did it feel out there?
And how important was that first st inning for you?
Was it was important?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Uh? But it was good. I felt good, felt confident
going in, and I was just able to attack. I mean,
it's the most important thing you can do in the
postseason his attack, get ahead and make them swing at
your pitches. It felt like this team was going to
swing at the first pitch early.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Where you're noticing that too, Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Mean they're an aggressive team. They have some some passive guys,
but a lot of them are aggressive. So I knew
that was gonna be the case, but I needed to
get strike one.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I know you were thinking about your curve ball. How
did it feel tonight?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
A lot better?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I feel like all Austin was good just to check
and Jeff was getting the better results, so I went
with that. And then the fastball little kitch was pretty
good for the most part.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
You wanted to challenge yourself by sunning here to be
on this stage. What did it mean to you to
have the fans cheering you on with two strikes in
the sixth inning and seventh innings tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Well it was big and I want I want more
of it. So we gotta we gotta win tomorrow and
keep this going. Hey, you are a big part of
game one. That's always a big one in these short series.
Snail Zilla on full display tonight. Thanks for stopping. Yeah,
I appreciate it.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
