Speaker 1 (00:00):
And an exclusive interview with David Bassey for Dodger Talk.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
We're live in Seattle at t Mobile Park after the
Dodgers hold on for a big win three to two,
and I'm with tonight's first baseman who smelled the RBI
and he drove in the go ahead run, the insurance
run that turned out to be the difference, and that's
Dalton Rushing. Let's start with that ninth inning. You're a catcher.
What are you thinking as far as just trying to

(00:28):
think along with Tanner and Ben?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yeah, I think I think Ben did a great job.
Tanner kept himself composed up there, ran into some traffic,
but uh, that's all you got to do in that role,
and you're gonna have some traffic sometimes. And for him
to be able to stay under control and do his
thing out there and get some swinging mess it was massive.
It was good to see.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
You've been contributing all season long in San Diego. Big
three run home run to help you guys win tonight.
He got a couple of singles. How good does it
feel to get an opportunity and deliver?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yeah, it feels great. This is the baseball everyone prays for.
This is what you want to do. You want to
play in games like this, You want to play in
atmospheres like this, and uh, if you're not a guy
that wants the opportunity every single time you want to,
I guess you could say spotlight. Yeah, it's gonna be
tough to succeed here.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
How happy are you to be part of a division championship?
You've watched the Dodgers celebrate, you were part of it
last night.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, it's Uh, it was pretty special obviously, my first
division championship with the team, and uh, to be able
to just be around these guys honestly, day in day out,
it makes it a little more special at the end
of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Hey, Dalton, great job tonight. Maybe I'll let Freddy know
he's been Wally pipped.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah he's Uh. I guess he's taught me well over time.
Thanks David,
