Speaker 2 (00:46):
Onto the postseason.
Speaker 6 (00:47):
We go after all one hundred and sixty two games
of the regular season that is now behind us, all
eyes on October baseball and thirteen wins to win a
World Series championship. Hi, everybody, and welcome to Dodger Talk
here on NPI seventy LA Sports Live Everywhere on the
iHeartRadio Appnic should be in with us on this Sunday
(01:10):
afternoon as you enjoy a Dodger victory over the Seattle Mariners,
and what a way to kind of put an exclamation
point on this regular season. Clayton Kershaw goes out in
his final regular season start of his career, pitches into
the sixth inning. Freddie Freeman comes out to get him.
After he strikes out he in Unio Suarez with one
out in the six Kershaw exits to a standing ovation,
(01:33):
a real nice tribute from all the fans there at
T Mobile Park in Seattle.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
They understood they were what they were witnessing today.
Speaker 6 (01:40):
They know that Clayton Kershaw is one of the greatest
ever to wear a baseball uniform, and they saluted him
as he came off the field there at T Mobile
Park and rifle y So and the Dodgers offensively clicking
at the right time.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
For as much as they.
Speaker 6 (01:54):
Struggled in spurts during this season, you can't say that
this Dodgers team is not clicking at their best time
because they are late September going into the playoffs, and
this offense feels like it's kind of got that momentum going,
kind of feels like it's that chug of a train
starting to get going and starting to build that momentum.
(02:16):
It was a little slow about ten days ago. You
felt like the series against the Diamondbacks, they got a
little bit more confident, the game's meant a little bit more,
had more of a playoff atmosphere. And then you get
to Seattle and it's been three sellout crowds at T
Mobile Park, and the atmosphere has been great, and I
think made it so the Dodgers felt like they were
(02:37):
in a playoff atmosphere against really a good team that
who knows they could be facing in the World Series
if the Mariners are to advance and the Dodgers are
to advance, that's a really good Mariners team.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
And I get it.
Speaker 6 (02:50):
They maybe have took the foot off the gas, so
to speak, over this three games. The Dodgers certainly did
today after they jumped out to the big lead Bud.
All in all, a good weekend for the Dodgers and
a great way to end the regular season with Clayton
Kershaw going out to a standing ovation and the Dodgers
picking up the win eight sixty six nine eight seven
(03:11):
two five to seventy. Now what is next, you're asking, Okay,
we played one hundred and sixty two games, Tim What now? Well,
the Dodgers will have a day off tomorrow, but they
will have a workout at Dodgers Stadium. They will go
through a workout, so will this Cincinnati Reds who will
be flying across country, landing later tonight early morning. They
(03:32):
will have a workout tomorrow out at Dodgers Stadium, and
then Game one of the wild Card Series best of
three begins Tuesday night, first pitch at six oh eight
Morogo Casino, Dodgers on deck getting started at five o'clock,
and again we will have you covered wall to wall
beginning on Tuesday morning at six am as the return
(03:55):

and kateson a Steve Sacks, two time.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
World Series champion, myself Tim Kates.
Speaker 6 (04:04):
We take over live in local six am to nine

phone calls, giveaways, and we'll have a pair of tickets
by the way to Game one of that Wildcard Series

(04:24):
as the playoffser here because we got ticket giveaways on
out throughout all of our shows.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
On here on the station.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
So that's coming up game one Tuesday night, and I
cannot be more excited, little nervous, to be honest with you.
The Cincinnati Reds one of those teams that you look
at their starting staff and it's pretty good. You look
at their depth on their team, it's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
They got some.
Speaker 6 (04:46):
Boppers in the lineup, and then of course they got
one of the best all round players in baseball in
La Deli, Cruz. They got the kid from UCLA, Matt
McClain at second base. And don't forget they got Kibrian
Hayes that they picked up to play third base, and
old friend Gavin Luck Spencer Steer. It's a good Cincinnati
Reds team that is gonna be coming to Dodger Stadium.
(05:09):
So again we'll break that down coming up here on
Dodger Talk. We'll recap today, what a day it's been.
Eight sixty six, nine eighty seven two five eight sixty
six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number.
We're gonna hear more from Clayton Kershaw coming up. Also,
we're gonna hear from Dave Roberts coming up in just
a little bit. But let's go out to the phones.
Thanks for being patient. We'll start off with Maxwell in
(05:30):
Austin is our first call today here on Dodger Talk.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
How you doing, Maxwell, Hey Jim.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
It's been a pretty emotional day scene Kersha out there
for Game one sixty two. It's been a legacy run
for him, you wrap of the regular season, So that
was a special moment.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, it was an awesome moment. And what did you
think when you saw him?
Speaker 6 (05:57):
You know, don the cap, tip it to the crowd,
and you know, kudos to the Seattle Mariners fans for
what they did today in the tribute to Clayton Kershaw
when he came off the field, recognizing the moment, recognizing
what he has meant to the game of baseball.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
And I think, I think it's awesome.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
You start your career with a strikeout, and then you
end your regular season start and what could be your
last start in baseball with the strikeout of here when
Heinio Suarez there in the sixth inning. It is absolutely
fantastic way to start and end your career. Talk about
bookinging it for Clayton Kershaw, certainly a great moment for him.
(06:32):
Eight sixty six nine eighty seven to two five study.
I appreciate the phone call Maxwell, Nick and Irvine is
next up here on Dodger Talk. After the Dodgers beat
the Mariners six to one, and now it's off to
the postseason, we go, Nick, how you doing?
Speaker 8 (06:45):
First of all, prompt to that last caller, I was
pretty inspirational. Second of all, I'm legit bleed Dodger blues. Tommy,
you say you know I was at the Gibson game.
I grew up my, I graduated high school out here.
I'm a Dodger fan. And twelve division titles in thirteen years.
The twenty eight Yankees didn't do what would have been
(07:05):
the equival of that.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
No one has.
Speaker 8 (07:08):
The Giants never did, the Pirates never did, the Atlanta
Braves never did. This is unprecedented, and you know, no
matter what happens, because everyone knows it's harder to defend
a title than to win a title. So they're defending.
But if they win this and it's a witness, I'm
a witness, and you're a witness to what's going to
(07:28):
be Gretzky s Tiger esque, Bonds esque never before seen.
If o'tani leads the Dodgers again to the World Series.
Speaker 7 (07:39):
Pitching and hitting.
Speaker 8 (07:40):
Then he's at that level and I am just so
stoked to see how if he responds, because he's on
going to be the level of Lebron James and all
the legends, you know, Tiger, Wayne, Gretzky, Babe Ruth. No comparisons,
So I mean, you know, they're all in their own.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Way, and just to watch it.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Do I think the Dodgers are gonna win?
Speaker 8 (08:01):
Of course, no one in the right mind thinks the
Dodgers with this bullpen's gonna win. But is it all
coming together? It's like did they throw a bunch of
stuff on the wall of the season and all of
a sudden, we got rookies coming up, we got the
Asian kid who's gonna be playing in the we got
Cursaw out of the pen. And by the way, how
legendary Sandy Kofax won twenty seven games and were retired. Okay, Now,
(08:25):
if either Cursaw is better or not better than Sandy Kovax,
that's for a different day. But Sandy Kofax won twenty
seven games and he left a legend. Now what Kershaw
did today, and that is legendary that's something that our
grandkids will tell our great grandkids about because Granddad used
to tell them about it. You know what I'm saying, legendary.
(08:47):
The guy's a legend.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
Now.
Speaker 8 (08:49):
I put Kofax above kursh Off, but just barely. But
if Kershaw can come out of the bullpen and get
three or four or five saves out of these eleven games,
or can or contribute like he has been contributing, which
is zero runs, then he's up there. He could be
better than Standy after this year. So to be able
to witness all this stuff, oh my goodness. And can
(09:09):
I just say one other thing? Sure, the screener is
under is overworked, underpaid. He needs a raise, a vacation
of a promotion right away.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
No, that's calling you, and you're absolutely right. He deserves
a promotion and an increase in pain. And I appreciate
the folk call. Thanks for checking in, Nick from Irvine. Yeah,
and I think you said it well. I love the
fact that Clayton Kershaw and the argument with him and
Sandy Kofax will always exist. And I think it's great
(09:39):
for conversation you can talk about. Oh I never saw
Kershaw Kershaw, but I you know I heard about it.
That's what the future kids are going to be saying.
You know, I wasn't around when Kershaw, when Kofax pitched,
but I certainly respect him, and I see you the
highlights and we know the history of what he'd done
in his career that is fantastic, And so when Clayton
Kershaw has done has been absolutely hall of fame.
Speaker 7 (10:01):
Ask.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
I love the argument.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
I love the fact that both are Dodgers and will
always be remembered as Dodger greats. And to see Kershaw
go out the way he did, I would have been
fine with him the strikeout of cal Rawley in the
fifth inning, back to back strikeouts of Rosarino and Raleigh and.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Come out of the game.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
But I love how Dave Roberts said, no, no, no,
let's get a celebration for Clayton Kershaw. Let's get him
a rightful send off as we go out and get
the ball from him and he gets to come off
the field to a standing ovation. I absolutely love that.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (10:33):

to left center field, his ball heading back toward the wall.
Speaker 9 (12:56):
It is gone.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
A home run Freddie.
Speaker 9 (12:59):
Freeman will there's twenty fourth hover of the season and
the Dodgers lead at.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Ford to nothing.
Speaker 7 (13:06):
An opposite field shot for Freeman.
Speaker 6 (13:09):
Freddie Freeman a two run home runs, twenty fourth of
this season. He goes some left center field with it.
Pretty impressive the power from Freddie Freeman on that home run.
High Sung Cama two run home run in the second.
That home run from Freddy Freeman doubled up. The Dodger
lead Ford to nothing. Show Hey Otani with the solo
shot in the seventh and then Andy Payez an RBI
single in the eighth inning. Dodgers beat the Mariners today

la sports dot Com keyword home run for your chance
to win a fifty dollars Daniels Jewler's gift card just
for predicting the number of home runs in the next game.
Daniels Jewelers own the dream again. Congratulations to Clayton Kershaw
on just an absolutely tremendous outing today. Think about the
(13:53):
twenty twenty five season that Clayton Kershaw has had. He's
been there when they needed him. He gets eleven wins,
he finishes eleven in two on this season. Eleven and
two is his record with an er ray in the
regular season of three thirty six. He gets over three
thousand strikeouts. Check that box today or earlier this year
in twenty twenty five, comes back double digit winner. Then
(14:16):
on top of that, you think of the month of September,
and he had was great, but August was fantastic, five
to zero in five stars with a one point eight
to eight er ray. It was absolutely tremendous. The performance
that he had the second half of the season when
the Dodgers needed him most, and you know, almost every
single time that Dave Roberts and this coaching staff said hey,
we need you out there, he was able to come
(14:37):
through and do it. He was also there for the
Dodgers out of the bullpen in Arizona when they needed
him against the Diamondbacks in a must win game. He
has done everything the Dodgers have always asked out of
him and he has delivered. And he did so again
today pitching into the sixth then coming out with one
out in the six book, ning his career with yet
another strikeout number three thousand and fifty two for the
(15:00):
future Hall of Famer. Again, don't don't, don't take it lightly.
Don't just think, oh, another Dodger pitcher.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
He's great. You're gonna realize just how awesome he has been.
Speaker 6 (15:11):
Next year, the year after, five years from now, ten
years from now, however old you are, wherever you are
in life, your grandkids, your kids, your spouse, whatever, you're
gonna be able to tell him. I saw Clayton Kershaw pitch.
I witnessed it.
Speaker 9 (15:27):
You know.
Speaker 6 (15:27):
I was there when he pitched his last game. I
was there when he put through three thousand strike cups.
I was there when he won championships. I was a
part of it and lived it. When Clayton Kershaw, it's
just like the older generation talks about Sandy Kofax and
Don Drysdale being alive and watching them pitch for the
Dodgers in the sixties.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
You were able to.
Speaker 6 (15:44):
Witness for eighteen years a Hall of Fame pitcher, arguably
one of the best ever to do it. In Clayton
Kershaw eight six six ninety eighty seven two five seventy, Eddie,
coming from the game.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Are Eddie you're on with on Dodger Talk. Are you
actually in Seattle, Eddie?
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Yeah, I live up here. I grew up going to
Dodger games. Okay, I brought my three boys to the game.
We was all three games this weekend, and uh.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
And he was it and he was it the first
time your boys got to see Kershaw pitch.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
First time for them to see Kershaw pitch. But they
then the uh. Every time the Dodgers come to town,
we go to see him. Yeah. My youngest very first game,
he everyone to the game where Turner had the walk
off in the Division series in Law. So they go
(16:38):
to plenty of Dodger games.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
We get every chance we can go awesome. Awesome.
Speaker 6 (16:42):
How about this matchup with the Cincinnati and Reds now Eddie,
the Dodgers going to the Wildcard Round beginning Tuesday night
against a really good Cincinnati Reds team.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah, but they're clicking. They're clicking when they need to click.
As long as the bullpen keeps it up, you got them.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
The bullpen has been fantastic guys of late.
Speaker 6 (17:01):
And I appreciate the phone call, and I'm glad you
brought the bullpen, because we've talked about the bullpen a lot,
and certainly they have taken well, they've taken a lot
of heat for their lack of production. And quite frankly,
when you blow twenty seven games as a bullpen, you
deserve a little bit of critique.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
You're not getting the job done.
Speaker 6 (17:18):
And whatever has been said, whatever was said to individual
guys on that Dodger bullpen group or collectively, the message
has been received because this is a group that has
really pitched well as of late.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Landed knack today out of the bullpen.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
You look what the Dodgers did last night, nine straight
strikeouts to end the game, something that hasn't been done
since nineteen twenty. What they did this weekend against the
Seattle Mariners. Yet Tanners Scott got into some trouble Friday night,
but got out of that basis loaded.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Situation and the Dodgers held on to get the win.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
You know, it kind of feels like the momentum hopefully
has changed for this Dodger's bullpen. I hope it has,
and I hope they got some positive vibes going into
October and a day have rest today.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
I think this is key the fact that Landon Nack
came in and pitch the rest.
Speaker 6 (18:05):
After Clayton Kershaw's five in the third innings, Landon that
gets called up and goes three and two thirds, saving
the bullpen here on this Sunday day off tomorrow and
then get ready for Tuesday night, rest and ready to go.
And again I'm curious to see what this roster is
gonna look like. What is it gonna look like with
twenty six guys on this roster when they announced it
Tuesday morning for this three game Wildcard series, we know
(18:27):
one thing, okay, and this was announced before the game,
before Clayton Kershaw start that he will not be on
the wildcard roster because he pitched today. He can't pitch
for them Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and because of that, you
don't want him taking up a roster spot, right, just
makes sense. If he's not available, he can't pitch for
you because he just pitched, you can fill that roster
(18:47):
spot with somebody else, and then you can reset the
roster for the NLTS, which I would assume then the
future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw would then be a
part of Larry in Hollywood is next up here on
Dodger Talk, Larry, Welcome.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
How you doing.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Oh, I'm doing great. Listen. I'm on Hollywood Boulevard right now,
and I'm loving the show. This is one of the
happiest days of my life. And I'm seventy four years old. Tim.
Speaker 7 (19:13):
I want to tell you this is history.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Everything that was predicted came true. The last week I've
been only listening to the radio because my TV is
all packed up. I'm moving to another apartment and I
just want to let you know, Am five seventy, it's wonderful.
God bless Clayton Kirkshaw, you, David Andrew Friedman, and I'm
(19:35):
all ready for the Reds. I didn't want to play
the Mets, and I just wanted to thank you guys
for all the great hand Alantic's little behavior. And I
know other people are waiting. This is Melrose Lowry Green
and let's win that world series.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Absolutely, absolutely, thank you for the nice words.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
I appreciate that. Yeah, today was history. It really was again.
It's going to be one of those things you remember forever.
I certainly will remember Clayton k Shaw's final start. I mean,
think about the final game. Charlie Colberson's home run, Vin
Scully's last home game at Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
You remember it. You can see it in your mind's eye.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
That day, the sun out day game, Dodger Stadium, Charlie
Colberson rounding third, throwing his helmet into the sky, Vin
Scully along with his wife in the in the press box,
saluting and singing to Dodger fans who wouldn't leave and
had sold out crowds stood for minutes upon minutes, just
saluting the great Vin Scull.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
You remember days like this.
Speaker 6 (20:33):
This is one of those days you'll look back and say,
I remember Clayton Kershaw his last start in a regular season.
It was in Seattle, the last day of the twenty
twenty five season.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
You'll absolutely remember it. Eight sixty six nine eight seven
two five seventy. It is history.
Speaker 6 (20:49):
Eddie, Oh we got Eddie. Let's go to Rob in
Manhattan Beaches. Next up, Rob, Welcome to Dodger Talk on
A and five seventy.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
How you doing, Rob, say, friend, I tell you you
guys in your radio crew, I mean, you just visualize
exactly what's going on in that game. And I'm not
going to bookend it because by golly. I plan to
watch a lot more games. But I tell you, I
remember as a kid listening to one Metric Marischal being
called out with the San Francisco Giants. He really would
(21:16):
strike out a strikeout with one Marrisale with something. But
the way you guys called the baseball and the pitching
is so beautiful. All I can say is it would
be nice to go into a deli and see one
of you guys calling out what kind of sandwich T
would like? Because I mean, it's it's top notch, and
so what can I say except I get the radio
(21:38):
on and that's where I am at.
Speaker 6 (21:42):
All right, awesome, Rob, I appreciate the phone call. Thank
you for the nice words. I would love to go
order sandwiches with you out a deli, and I think
that'd be a lot of fun to take the broadcast crew.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Thank you for the nice words.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
Eight sixty six nine seven five seventy is the number.
Eight six six nine seven two five seventy is a number.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Don't forget.
Speaker 6 (21:59):
Tickets are on sale for the Wildcard round Dodgers and

(22:22):
get on it quick. Dodgers dot com slash Postseason first
pitch at six oh Eight's all right, let's holl back
up to Seattle.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
We got to hear from the manager himself, Dave Roberts
d when.
Speaker 9 (22:33):
It came to you doing what you did on the
mound and sending Freddie out and the way you did
it at Dodger Stadium for Clayton. Where does this come
from as far as understanding your responsibility as far as
the theater of the moment and giving Clayton and the
fans the moments that you've get allowed those moments to happen.
Speaker 10 (22:51):
Yeah, I think it's it just stems from, you know,
the game is certainly much much bigger than me. I
think gets about the players and the fans, and so
you know, when certain players earn the respect of their
teammates the fans, then how can I sort of orchestrate
(23:12):
facilitate things without being disrespectful to the other team, and
so that's sort of where it stems from. And you know,
I don't know how it's going to play out any
of those moments. You know, the three thousand strikeout, that
was the last hitter he was going to get. It
just worked out that he got him on a strikeout
(23:34):
and we got to do it at Dodger Stadium, and
how he pitched, you know, for the last home game
allowed for me to kind of get a little creative
and the same thing.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Today.
Speaker 10 (23:45):
You know, he was gassed, but I just felt that,
you know, one extra moment to again give the fans
in baseball that special moment was something that maybe you
know him, his family, the fans can always remember that.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
That's it's.
Speaker 10 (24:02):
It's a gretty group, it's a hunger group. It's certainly
a younger group. And we can't take these guys lightly.
Not to say that we took the dining back slightly,
you know a few years ago, but these guys can
be coming into win a series and they're feeling really
good about themselves. So we've got to focus on ourselves
and take it to them. And you don't play the
(24:25):
game on paper, and we've got to have that edge
that we've talked about, and they can pitch and they're athletic.
So they got a great manager who's won a couple
of championships. So we got to be ready, and we
are ready.
Speaker 6 (24:39):
I think that's well said by the manager, Dave Roberts.
There is the salute, of course, so Clayton Kershaw and
a tip of the cap to the Seattle Mariners for
what they were able to do to recognize Clayton Kershaw.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
But good point by him.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
They're not going to overlook the Cincinnati Reds team, and
not like they overlook the Diebacks a few years ago.
But this is going to be a Dodgers team obviously,
the target's still on their back. And you've got a
Cincinnati Reds team that is hungry. They're young and don't
have a lot of playoff experience. I mean, off the
top of my head, I'm thinking about what they have there.
I mean, Gavin Lux maybe the only guy off the
top of my head with playoff experience that's a regular
(25:13):
contributor to this uh Cincinnati Reds team. I mean it's
a young team, it's a hungry team, but not a
lot of experience. Come October and if you're the Dodgers,
what you need to do is squash any kind of
hope they have early in Game one on Tuesday night.
And again we'll have it for you right here on
a I seventy LA Sports from Rogo Casino, Dodgers on
(25:33):
deck at five o'clock, first pitch at six h eight
Dodgers dot com slash Postseason to find out more and
to buy tickets.
Speaker 2 (25:40):

Yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 6 (25:53):
It's gonna be fun to see what they can do
here Reset get ready to go on Tuesday night against
the Cincinnati Reds.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
I'm excited. But how about Clayton Kershaw.
Speaker 6 (26:01):
You've got to see this Dodgers team a lot this summer, Blake,
you see him a lot. At a young age. You
got to witness Clayton Kershaw pitch in the major leagues.
When you grow up, you're gonna be able to say
I saw Clayton Kershaw pitch in a Major League game.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
I witnessed one of the greatest ever.
Speaker 7 (26:17):
Yeah, and I and I'm really sad he's tiling, but
I saw him and of them loved.
Speaker 11 (26:26):
The Major League Baseball stadiums.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 6 (26:30):
You got to do something not a lot of baseball
fans or Dodger fans have been able to do. And
make sure you chaish those memories, no doubt about it.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Blake. We'll check in with you in a couple of days.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 11 (26:41):
We am I going to be back.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
I'll be back after the Dodgers clinched the Wildcard series,
so hopefully after Game two, if not after Game three.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
On Thursday, So make sure you stay tuned.
Speaker 6 (26:50):
Okay, Blake, Okay, all right, sounds good, buddy, appreciate it.
Let's wrap things up. Is he in Anaheim? Is he
all the text, all the calls, all the drama of
this series this season? They've wrapped up the division a
week ago and now they secured a match up against
the Cincinnati Reds beginning on Tuesday night?
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Is he?
Speaker 2 (27:11):
How are you feeling?
Speaker 11 (27:13):
I'm doing the Actually not eve been the week. It did,
been a couple of days, but whatever. Anyway, No, listen,
it was so great thing Cratie going out. I will
never get it ready ready, this coming out. That would
be my memory. But oh yeah and memo memotived met
(27:35):
Now new problem? Did team complaiginn weeks paying on the
many and where are you guys that anyway? Never mind,
but I'm I'm I was so emotional today came when
I tell him leave, I was crying. I don't know
why this isn't me but.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
Its history, though, is He's okay to be emotional. It's
okay because it's it's something we may never see again.
A picture like Clayton Kershaw put up the numbers like
he did and do what he did consistently over eighteen years.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
It's an emotional it's a historic day.
Speaker 11 (28:07):
Yeah, it is so. And there's something I need to know.
It's been driving me nuts. Oh yeah, I have to
ogg is based buying Negota? Just why did it have
to be five years.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Go to the Hall of Fame?
Speaker 2 (28:24):
You know? Yeah, it's just it's the rule they set up.
Speaker 6 (28:30):
It's the rule they have, and I don't know why
they established that. Maybe they'll let time pass and you know,
people can look at people's numbers and voting and see
if they're a Hall of Fame candidate or not. Kind
of feels like This is a no brainer, obviously, and
I appreciate the phone call.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Isy. I think it's kind of cool.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
All right, sounds good.
Speaker 6 (28:49):
It will be kind of cool if they bypassed the
five years and just said, all right, you're going to
the Hall of Fame. There's there's no question marks, there's
no meeting to have to be talked about, you know,
and discussion to be had.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Let's just put him in.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
I mean, if he's not a unanimous Hall of Famer,
it's a joke, an absolute joke. But with that being said,
you know, baby Ruth wasn't a unanimous Hall of Famer
when he got in, so it only been a few
that is gonna do it for postgame Dodger Talk, thank
you for being a part of the show. Thanks for

on a day in which Clayton Kershaw i mean his
final regular season to start, walked off to a standing
ovation after a strikeout in the sixth inning and picks
up his eleventh win of this season.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Congratulations to him.
