Welcome to Dodgers on Tech.

Speaker 6 (00:38):
Now your host walking you up the first pitch, Tim Kass.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Well everybody, and welcome in Tomo Ronco Casito, Dodgers on Deck.
You're a world champion. Los Angeles Dodgers on the road
in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as they take on the Brewers. Dodgers
fifty six and thirty six on this season. Yeah, there's
no arguing that Dodgers in a little bit of a
funk right now. Losers a four in a row. They've
been outscored thirty eight to seven during this four game stretch. Tonight,

(01:05):
though they look to put an into it with Clayton
Kershaw on the mound, Dodgers and Brewers, Game two of
this three game series. First pitch coming up at four
forty coming up over the next sixty minutes here on
Morongo Casino, Dodgers on deck.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
We got a lot to get to.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
We're gonna hear from the Dodger manager Dave Roberts, get
his pregame thoughts on his team. Right now, we'll dive
a teeper to this pitching match up. Kirsten Watson will
join us live from the field in Milwaukee. David Vasse
joins us throughout the hour. He goes one on one
with Freddie Freeman. That's coming up in forty five minutes.
We got your Dodgers magical moment and in just a
few minutes we'll head out to the Galpin Motors broadcast

(01:40):
booth with Tim Neverett and Rick Monday. Well, yesterday in Milwaukee,
just an awful outing for Yoshinobu Yama Moto. He couldn't
get out of the first inning after the Dodgers went one,
two three in the top of the first. Yamamoto came
out in the bottom of the first and right away
gave up a lead off double and then walk. Three

(02:01):
batters later, two on two out for Andrew Vaughn.

Speaker 7 (02:05):
Now the two to two pitch to Vaughan from Yamamoto
swung on and hammered deep to left field.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Ball's back.

Speaker 7 (02:13):
It is three nothing, no walking. In his first plate
appearance with his new team, Andrew va hits a three
run home on a two strike pitch.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Andrew Vaughan goes deep, three run home run, and it
didn't end for Yamamoto. In the first inning, he gave
up two more a walk, a single than a throwing
air from Mookie Betts opened the door, and then an
Rby heigh single. It just would not end. Forty plus
pitches for Yamamoto. Finally Jack Dryer came in still with
only two outs in the first inning. Yamamoto struggled five

(02:50):
runs in two thirds of an inning, walk to forty
one pitches. The Dodgers found themselves down five to nothing,
and it got worse in the fifth. Two more for
the Brewers, two more in the seventh for Milwaukee, as
they had a nine nothing lead. The Dodgers' offense didn't
do much yesterday until late in this one. In the

(03:12):
eighth innings, It's Toury Ruiz, welcome to the Dodgers.

Speaker 7 (03:15):
I's having him come in for pregame dep briefing. There's
a ground ball off of the pitcher and it's gonna
roll out on the right field. Oh Tany's gonna round
third and come to the plate. Smith is gonna head
the third and that's third. Ruiz with a base, It
gets a run home and the Dodgers on the board.
It's nine to one.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
They finally break open the the scoring column.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
It's Toury Ruiz with the RBI single scoring show Hey Otani,
But that was it. Dodgers held to one run on
seven hits. The Brewers a nine to one victory over
the Dodgers, who have now lost four in a row.
They're fifty six and thirty six on this season. Their
lead in the NL West is down to six games

(03:59):
over the Sanffrance Cisco Giants. But the good news to
new day and a new game for the Dodgers. With
Clayton Kershaw on the mound for the Blue Jacob Miseerowski
goes from Milwaukee, hard throwing young right hander. It went
is a great pitching matchup on this Tuesday. First pitch
coming up at four forty and with more we head

(04:19):
out to the Gallpin Motors broadcast booth as we welcome
in Tim Neverett and Rick Monday.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Guys, Tim, thank.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
You, and welcome to Milwaukee, where the Dodgers trying to
end this four game losing streak as they dropped last
night's game nine to one, which was effectively over in
the first inning after the Brewers put up five runs
immediately and the Dodgers unable to come back. Brewers put
up two more in the fifth and another two in
the seventh on a Christian Yellich opposite field home run

(04:46):
nine won the final last night. Tonight, It's a new
night and Clayton Kershaw takes the mound. Kershaw with a
four and old record in a three forty three era,
the wiley old veteran taking on the newcomer right hand
to Jacob miss Oroski, who throws the ball regularly one
hundred miles an hour, three and one for the rookie
for the Milwaukee Brewers. Dodgers start the night six up

(05:09):
on the Giants fifty six and thirty six, while the
Brewers eleven games over five hundred and fifty one and
forty still chasing the Cubs in the Central Division, and well,
you've got Kershaw going tonight after all of the hoopla
Dodgers Stadium celebrating his three thousandth strikeout. Now it's back
to work for the left hander.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, back to work for the left and looking forward
to see what's going to match up. A veteran is
headed to the Hall of Fame at some particular time
five years after he finally retires, and a young man
that comes on as you mentioning he throws hard. It
seemed to watch what the right hander does for the
Milwaukee Brewers in the meantime, It's another ball game that

(05:48):
we did not see Tommy edmund or Teascar Hernandez in
the starting lineup. Expected them to see them tomorrow. But
James Outman again will be in center field. Mcguil Rojas
is going to be a third heads on Kim at
the second base position, and a little change. It'll be
Dalton rushing behind the plate to catch Kershaw tonight and.

Speaker 7 (06:09):
The second time he's caught him this year, and Rushing
will be hitting in the seventh spot the Dodgers batting
order against the young right hander Miseroowski tonight with six
left handed bats in the lineup, of course, so Tony
Freeman Confordo is going to hit fifth, followed by Kim
Rushing an out min eight with the r Rojas hitting ninth.
But a lot of lefties and then four of them

(06:31):
in a row toward the back part of the lineup, and.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
That hopefully is going to work out well because if
we start to look at Meserowski, lefties have hit two
hundred with all three home runs that he's served up.
Right handers have hit oh fifty seven. That's not a misprint, folks,
oh fifty seven right handers have batted against him so far.
But the Dodgers have to figure out tim how they're
going to put some runs on the board. They have
been really inept of the last four games, in particular

(06:55):
with runners in scoring position, not only in the limited
number of opportunities, but not many hits. They're four for
twenty three. That's a one to seventy four average, But
the opposing teams over the last four games have hit
three to ninety five. And while the Dodgers have had
twenty three at batts runners in scoring position, opposing teams
have had forty three chances.

Speaker 7 (07:15):
Teams go up and down during the season. As we
talk about often, there are peaks and valleys. Right now
in a valley where the Dodgers have been outscored thirty
eight to seven during this four game losing skid, and
their run differential of negative thirty one is the worst
than any four game span since nineteen thirty two when
they were still in Brooklyn. These things do not last forever.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
No, they don't, and teams, like hitters that are in
slumps have to figure tonight is the night you start
the longest streak in a positive tone that you're going
to have the entire season, this.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
One day closer to getting hot. James out and asked
him if he's going to wear his glasses tonight. He's
wearing them during batting practice today with the roof closed
this afternoon. Not sure if they're going to open the
roof or not when the game time rolls around, but
it's been closed all afternoon here expecting a little rain
in the area. And still not sure he's gonna wear
them in the game tonight. He said, he's still struggling

(08:10):
to get used to them, but we will see come
game time whether or not he has the spectacles on
or not, but he does. During batting practice this afternoon,
Dodgers and the Brewers, Game two of this three game
sent Dodgers trying to end this four game skip Jim.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
All right, thank you guys, as we cut you down
to first pitch. Dodger fans, get your game day meal
on in Shaky's Pizza Parlor or your Shaky's Pizza, Chicken
and Mojo's right now at Shaky's dot com. We're off

you'll hear from Freddie Bierman. Coming up, you'll hear from
the Dodger manager, Dave Roberts. But when we come back,

(08:45):
we're here from Kirsten and Watson for Sports a LA
Live on the field and you're O Tania Rewind as
we lead dropped the first pitch of Milwaukee on this Tuesday,
Dodgers and Brewers, thanks for being with us. I'm Tim
Kasey is the world champion Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
This is Morongo Casino Dodgers hunting on your home for
LA Dodgers Baseball.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Dodgers in Milwaukee as they continue this three game set
with the Rowers. Clayton Kershaw Jacob Mizerowski. The pitching matchup,
first pitch set for four to forty. This is the
Otani rewide.

Speaker 7 (09:24):
Something hand one to Otani swing hits a little dribbler
down the third base side. That's going to be a
fair ball and a base hit. It rolled slowly past
the bag and with the third baseman Caleb Durban, playing
over towards short, he had a ways to go to
get to it, and the ball just died. But in
fair territory and show hey, with a leadoff single, Dodgers
might look for one more start on the mound as

(09:47):
he bangs went to the whole right side, that's the
base ship. In other words, that they might try to
find them another day before the All Star break to.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Pitch show Heytani didn't pitch yesterday, but two for four
appearance at the plate, two of the Dodgers seven hits. Unfortunately,
the Dodgers lost again nine won the final to the Brewers.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
This is Kirston's corner with Kirston, Watson.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
And Kirson now joins us from Milwaukee. Brought to you
by Cars for Kids. Ready to donate your old car
call EAT seven seven Cars for kids right now, friendly
agent standing by to take your donations. That's cars with
the K to donate your car today, Keirrison. This Dodgers
team in a bit of a rut right now. I've
lost four in a row. The offense, struggling, defense, struggling pitching.
Last night's Yoshinoba Yamamoto couldn't get out of the first

(10:36):
how's this team reacting now going into this game?

Speaker 8 (10:39):
Yeah, you know, honestly, it's just a matter of like
turning the page too. When I talked to Tanner back
in Los Angeles after he gave up those home runs
late in the game, he was really just kind of like,
you know, this is when you gotta wash. Yeah today
with yoshiobia Alamoto. For him, it was kind of the
same thing Dave Robertson, he were pointing to Jeff got
a bad against the bond, and you know, the kept

(11:00):
going to the slider, and ultimately that was kind of
the difference, and then the walk and the air and
so just the pitch count got up. So it was
now thinking long term, what is the situation kind of
call for So, you know, ultimately just wasn't their game.
The Brewers jumped on them early, So the hope is
really just kind of find different ways to get back

(11:21):
on track. Today, even Mookie Betts was saying that he
just feels like, you know, the offense just hasn't really
been there, and so they are looking to kind of
try to get things going early. That is a key.
Of course, you want some really good pitching as well.
Clayton Kershaw is on the mound. He's coming off of
his performance in which he gets his three thousand career strikeout,
so you know he's had some success here and so

(11:42):
he's definitely looking to kind of set the toes in
this one and hopefully just kind of gives the offense
an opportunity to really get going. So hopefully you can
do that.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Yeah, with this team struggling, they really need the big
three Otani, Betts, and Freeman to pick it up even
more so than they usually do offensively. But you mentioned
Clayton Kershaw getting to start a great pitching matchup, I
guess the young arm for the Milwaukee Brewers. For Clayton
Kershaw this first start post three thousand strikeouts, I know
he's still got a lot of fire in his stomach
to finish strong here in twenty twenty five and go

(12:12):
into the All Star breaks wrong.

Speaker 8 (12:14):
Yeah, exactly, and looking we going to playing and a
part of the Alfer isn't sure if he's actually pitching
in the game just yet. He did say, he said,
you know, being the legacy pick, he's very grateful for that,
but he doesn't want to take an opportunity away from
a young pitcher of his aby in their first All
Star Game, or to give them that inning to pitch. So,
you know, if he's excited about the fanfare and all

(12:35):
of that, but you're right, he does want to end
his first pack on a high note. Even he was
saying that when he picked here last year, that's actually
when he like blew quote unquote blew out his toe.
And so that is a toe that was causing all
the issues when he was trying to land coming off
the mound. Then ultimately had to have surgery on it
in the offseason. And so for him could be in

(12:56):
a position now where he doesn't even have to think
about his foot or his it's still you're seeing it
in the results. Yes, maybe for this thing and this
in the last game it took. You know, when you
really want to strike out, it seems to be a
little bit harder to get. Luckily, he's not going to
be thinking about that today. He's passed the three thousand,
so he has been able to eat up some innings,
which he's going to be huge, especially we'll pinch and

(13:19):
just kind of being efficient and what we've been seeing
from him. So we'll see. But it is interesting to
think that, you know, this is kind of the place
where that toe injury really started to bother him, and
how he's trying to play them but he just couldn't
do it as the year went on.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Hopefully he gives them some length today there in Milwaukee, curiously,
and we appreciate it. We'll check in with you after
the game still to come. Here on Marongo Casino Dodgers
on Deck, we dive deeper into this pitching matchup David
Vesigo's one on one with Freddie Freeman. But up next
we'll get you at injury report and well here for
the manager, Dave Roberts says, we lead you up to
Dodgers and Brewers on this Tuesday, first pitcher of Milwaukee's
at four forty, I'm Tim kas Is, the world champion

(13:54):
Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network.

Speaker 6 (13:58):
This is MA Wrongo because you know, Dodgers on Deck
on your home for the blue all season off.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
It's the Dodgers and Brewers from Milwaukee Moroco Casino. Dodgers
on Deck continues as we lead you up to first
pitch Morongo Casino Resort and Spa, a Grand Slam for
good times. Clayton Kershaw, Jacob Mizarowski. The pitching matchup, first
pitch set for four to forty's.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
The LA Dodgers Injury.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Report presented by UCLA Healthy Official Medical partner of the
Los Angeles Dodgers. Keyky Hernandez on the IL with the
left elbow soreness, Max Munsey on the IL with the
left knee bone bruise, Tony Gonsol on the IL, Blake
Snell on the I L Rokie Sasaki, Blake trying it
on the IL. The good news is somebody coming off
the IL tomorrow and that's right handed Tony gar Tyler glassnow.

(14:50):
Tyler glassnow is scheduled to come off the IL tomorrow
and get the start in the series finale in Milwaukee.
Speaking of Milwaukeele's head back out and here from the
Dodgers skipper.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
The questions for Dave. Dave, can you just describe Dave.
Can you talk about the pressure in the dugouts with
Dave Robberts.

Speaker 9 (15:11):
Just with Kershaw taking the ball today, for him to
be the stopper, the guy to hopefully set the tone
in this one. What are you kind of hoping to
see from him, especially coming off of his performance in
which he of course got his three thousandth career strike out.

Speaker 10 (15:25):
You know this is Uhem's playing well, it's a gritty team.
I think that you know, just mix, use his pitch, mix,
really try to get ahead and when Clayton's going well,
he should be pretty efficient. This team likes to swing
the bat, so I feel good in the sense of

(15:51):
having guys behind him. We got a few guys that
are going to be down, but we got some other
guys that are going to be back online. So yeah,
he's coming off off off a stressful hundred pitch outing,
but you know, we're gonna need him to kind of
be Clayton. But knowing we have some coverage behind him with.

Speaker 9 (16:11):
The offense, what's got to be just the focus for
them kind of getting back on track. The quality of
the bats that you want to see, and of course
finding new ways to get to a young pitcher that
they have on the mound.

Speaker 10 (16:22):
Well, this guy, I'm very curious to see this arm.
It's high octane stuff. I think for us, it's we
just got to try to win pitches, extended bats, be
mindful of the quick outs, and they've sort of taken
care of him as far as kind of workload. So

(16:44):
we got to try to get that pitch count up
and you know, strength smits together and and you know
there might be some walks in there and hopefully we
can pop one.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
All Right, there's the manager, Dave Roberts, talking about young
Jacob Mizerowski, the right hander for the Milwaukee Brewers, going
up against the Dodgers offense, which needs to get some
hits today and string together some hits to get this
offense going. When we continue here on Wrongo Becauseino Dodgers
on deck, will check out with me David Vassay as
we leach out to first pitch on this Tuesday afternoon
Dodgers and Brewers from Milwaukee. I'm Tim Kates, is the

(17:17):
world champion Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network.

Speaker 6 (17:24):
As we were saying, this is Marongo Casino Dodgers on
Deck on the official home of La Dodgers Baseball.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
It's the Dodgers and the Brewers from Milwaukee, Game two
of this three games at Clayton Kershaw. Jacob Izarowski the
pitching matchup, first pitch set for four forty.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Joining Tim Kates on Dodgers on deck.

Speaker 11 (17:48):
I accept everybody for who they are.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
This is Dodger insider David Basse. All right, DV.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
A few weeks back to Dodgers picked up Alexis Diz reliever,
closer and'sen to the leagues. They activated him today. What
do we expect from Alexis Dz.

Speaker 11 (18:05):
Well, from what I've been told, the Dodgers believe they
helped Diaz get better in Arizona for the uh, just
getting his slider back on track, getting his delivery back
on track. My understanding, too, is the Dodgers were trying
to help him be quicker to the plate out of
the stretch, try to help him with a slight step.

(18:25):
You might see that if he gets into the game
and there's a base runner on. But I had a
chance to talk to his brother, Edwin Diaz, when the
Mets were in town right after the Dodgers acquired Alexis.
Here's what Edwin Diaz said about how excited Alexis was
to be with the Dodgers.

Speaker 5 (18:44):
Yes, he got thrad. I've been talking to him. He's
really happy. He's he really appreciated he got thraight to
the Doyer, So he's he's really happy.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Was it close?

Speaker 11 (18:53):
Did you try to push for him with the Mets?

Speaker 5 (18:55):
If? I wish if he got traight to the met ball?
You know, he the Doyer picking pick him and he's
in a really good organization. Just happy for him, you know,
looking forward to see him the big lingin Edwin.

Speaker 11 (19:07):
He's a great closer as well. What do you think
the Dodgers can help him get back to? What does
he need to get back to be that all star?

Speaker 5 (19:16):
I think just fix his mechanics. I think he was
littly inconsistent this year. I think I think they have
the everything to fix him, to help him, and I
think if they can find the problem, it would be fine.

Speaker 11 (19:30):
Do you feel like a change of team scenery is
going to help him too?

Speaker 5 (19:34):
Yeah, one hundred percent. You know he was happy when
he got three. He was really happy. He called me,
I'm going to the Doyers, so I will see you
next week or in the playoffs. So he's really happy,
and I'm happy for him. Just can't wait to see
him in the big linga. I'm doing his job helping
the thing to win.

Speaker 11 (19:49):
It's gonna have to be in the postseason because the
Mets and Dodgers don't play again in the regular season.
But really, the Dodgers and Mets were the only two
teams that could have taken a flyer on Dias, a
guy that's making about four million dollars kind of a
reclamation project, Tim. Nobody else could have absorbed that. The
Dodgers were the team obviously that could, and they had

(20:11):
the infrastructure to be able to help Das get back
on track.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
David has brought to you by the twenty twenty five
four f one to fifty from California's best selling truck brand.
It's time to see Ford in a new light. Ford
for America from America.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Max Munsey, any update.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
On that bruise knee?

Speaker 11 (20:28):
I mentioned this on Dodger Talk last night, and I
failed to mention it before the game yesterday the finale
of that homestand Sunday morning was talking to Max Munsey
and we walked from one end of the Dodger Clubhouse
to his locker on the other end, and I said, hey,
are you walking a lot better than you were even yesterday?
He's like, yeah, I can't believe it. I'm walking a

(20:51):
lot better. So that's encouraging that maybe it won't be
six weeks. Maybe you could trim two or three weeks
off of that. But certainly left knee bruise is not
a bone bruise is not just gonna go away. Even
when he does come back to play, he's gonna have
to play through pain.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Last night, Yoshi Yamamoto just two thirds of an inning.
Wasn't his final start before the All Star breaks schedule
to go on Sunday. Is that still happening?

Speaker 11 (21:16):
I believe it is. And look, it could be an
abbreviated start. And this might be a blessing in disguise
that Yamamoto pitches on Sunday, because that would give him
the normal extra day's rest and then some before he
comes back for his next start post All Star Break.
So even if he does start on Sunday, I could
see a scenario where Yamamoto doesn't pitch a full workload.

(21:40):
Considering how much death now the Dodgers have in their
rotation that.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Includes Tyler Glass now scheduled to come off the il tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
David, thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
We'll check back you with you just a little bit
still to come here on Morago Casino Dodgers on deck.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
And now joined by David Masse, Here's La Dodgers broadcaster
and World Series champion Dodger Rick Monday.

Speaker 11 (24:39):
Well, Rick, The Dodgers are still a little shorthanded without
Max Munsey and without Tioscar Hernandez and Tommy Edmond for
the third straight game against Jacob Miseroski.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Yep, And hopefully they are at least for Edmund and
Tasker back in the lineup tomorrow. According to Dave Roberts,
we'll find out in less than twenty four hours on
that one fractured toe by Tommy Edmund and the foot contusion,
having fouled the ball off the top of his footbay
Ta Oskar. Finally game of the series at Dodgers Stadion.
But more importantly, the Dodgers have to hit the ball better.

(25:15):
They have to play better. You know, they keep making mistakes.
All errors are going to be made, But questionable judgment
on a couple of different plays we've seen. The base
running has not been exemplary, and there's Dodger BA club. Now.
The other part too, we'll talk about it more on
the pre game, is that they've not had many opportunities
to knock you in runs, and when they have they

(25:36):
have not really come through im In the last four
games all in the loss column runners in scoring position
they're hitting less than two hundred and in the same
period of time the opposing team hitting almost four hundreds.
So that's a big disparity. They need to turn it around.
And as you mentioned, it's a hard thrower going against
him today, that being a Misroski, who's very interesting story.

(25:58):
Six foot seven, right hand, twenty three years of age.
Reportedly he has thrown as high one hundred and three
miles an hour. Should be interesting. On the flip side,
Clayton kershow going for the Dodgers.

Speaker 11 (26:10):
Rick, we could talk about the rest of the guys
in the lineup, and yes, it takes a village to
be able to try to win games at the major
league level, But are the Dodgers going anywhere without Otani,
Bets and Freeman.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
But this way the road is a lot bumpier and
trying to go with that, that threesome, and if you
look at it, the numbers are with the numbers are.
Otani comes into today just five hits in the last
thirty four mats. That's a one forty three average. If
we look at Mookie Metz the last eighteen games, he's
hitting below two hundred. The numbers stand for themselves, and
for Freddy Freeman, a very long slump. He's been in

(26:47):
since the fourth of June, hitting just two to two,
and we've seen a lot higher percentage of strikeouts from Freeman.
Normally we don't see that from Freddy Freeman. That's the
case they're trying to work around in the interim. The
rest of the guys have to pick up the slack,
and you will Smith not in the lineup tonight. It's
a game that Dalton Rushing is going to be catching.

(27:09):
Rushing has held his own as well, and interesting too,
David very quickly, if we look at Dave Roberts lineup
tonight with the hard thrower Miseraski, who has allowed just
an oh fifty seven batting average against by right handers,
Roberts has gone with six left handed batters in that lineup.
Tonight against the hard throwing riting.

Speaker 11 (27:29):
We've talked a lot about Michael Conforto. He's one of
the Dodgers that is actually having quality at bats for
the last two weeks and.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Some better swings, I think, in particular on the fastball,
which should play large. Here's another number that gets lost
in all the dust if we look at teams that
have been successful hitting against the heater the fastball. Right
and we're talking about high octane tonight with Miserawski, the
Dodgers have the second highest batting average in the National

(27:59):
League on fastballs that are ninety seven miles an hour
or higher. What does that mean for it tonight, Well,
we'll find out. But to this particular point, and you
know we're in game number ninety three, they've held their
own very well against high velocity fastballs.

Speaker 11 (28:17):
Hey, hopefully that gets this offense going because, like we said,
they're playing a little shorthanded. And the fact is, you know,
the Dodgers haven't been playing their best for the last
couple of weeks, but now they've run into two of
the hottest teams in Major League Baseball.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
No question about that. The other factor is to David
the ball club's now had more than twenty four hours
to mourn the fact that you're not on this road trip.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
They've been able to deal with it.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
They understand that many miles away, while you're in the
comfort of the studio, that you're pulling for them. So
I expect them to have a victory tonight in spite
of the fact that they're kind of they're kind of
sad you're not with them.

Speaker 11 (28:55):
Hey, we've been doing radio magic since one o'clock this afternoon,
filling in on the flagship station. So we're keeping it
going here as we keep the home front safe for
you and the rest.

Speaker 7 (29:08):
Rick.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Oh, by the way, I have to send you a message.
Bernie the brewer says he misses you going down the
slide and he can't wait for your return.

Speaker 11 (29:16):
All right, we'll try to do that next year, Rick,
after the team. Maybe next year when the Dodgers are
in Milwaukee. The spirits will be a little bit higher.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Yeah, yeah, you know, and we can give you a
flack jacket to wear as you go down the slide.

Speaker 11 (29:29):
Sounds good, Rick, Thanks for always being a great friend.
We'll check in with you and tim Edrick a little
bit later in the show.

Speaker 1 (29:36):

Speaker 2 (31:02):
What will likely be vast a fielding insults from a
Dodger player, It's an engagement of endearment.

Speaker 11 (31:07):
This this high end tight We're joined right now by
a man that is going to the All Star Game
as a starter again at First Base. The people have
spoken not only in Los Angeles but all over the
world because they have voted Freddie Freeman to the Atlanta
All Star Game. And I'm sure that's going to be
special for you, Freddie.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
Yeah, definitely, I appreciate that, and thank you for everyone
for voting for me. I got a lot of family
members that will be there, and a lot of them
that are still live in the Atlanta area and you know,
just in Florida as well. So it should be a
nice couple of days in Atlanta to be able to
celebrate that with my family.

Speaker 11 (31:41):
What was your reaction when you got the news.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Yeah, I was just getting ready for the game and
I went to I think it was like four o'clock
or something like that, so we were kind of I
was kind of in the middle of getting ready for
the game yesterday, and you know, Wan was telling me
that I was kind of like leading some polls and
the last updates and things of that nature. But I
think the one that's more excited is obviously trying to

(32:05):
Charlie loves when I make All Star games because he's
more excited because of the Home Run Derby of like
Aaron Bates his kids. Kyle mccallaugh is going to be
there with Clayton Son, so all his friends will be
there that he gets to hang out with on Home
Run Derby. So you know, it's obviously special for me
to make All Star games. But you know, as I've
gotten older, making All Star games for the kids and

(32:28):
my kids, it's kind of what it's all about for me.

Speaker 11 (32:31):
You seem to be a guy that doesn't take it
for granted though.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Oh no, definitely not you never know, and this is
going to be your last All Star Game. So over
the course of the years, you know, some guys opt
out and do all those kind of things. I've always
tried to make it a point to make it and
be there because it is an honor to be there.
It's you all the hard work that goes into it,
not just in this year or the offseason. It's your
whole life that accumulates to making All Star Games, and

(32:56):
fans vote for you, players vote for you sometimes to
get it into it. So I try to make it
a point to be there, and you know, those two
days are very, very hectic, but I just never know
when it's going to be your last one. And unfortunately
I've been being able to make a few of my career,
but you never know when it's your last one, so
I try to cherish every single one.

Speaker 11 (33:16):
This one's got to be a little bit more special
going back to Atlanta as the starting first baseman.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Yeah, I mean, I haven't you know, it's hard to
like describe how you're going to feel in a situation
until you get there and live it and be in
the moment. So I think it's more of you know,
I'm looking forward to it. Every time I've gone back
the last four years, it's always been special. I don't
see how this is not going to be even more
special to go back and you know, play in front
of these fans and at an All Star game. So

(33:45):
I'm looking forward to it. But I'll have a better
answer how I feel when I actually go through it
and feel the emotions of that day and that those
couple of days there. But I know we're looking forward
to it, families looking forward to it, So I'm looking
forward to getting there.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Freddie.

Speaker 11 (34:00):
You also mentioned the other layer. You're the starting first
baseman for the National League, and your coaching staff is
going to be there as well. I mean, there's just
so many perfect moments that this should happen.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Yeah, it's pretty cool. And then obviously Doc inviting Snit
to be the manager, and obviously Clayton being the other
the manager being there. So it's kind of like a
pretty cool thing for me personally to have all these
people here that meant so much in my career so far.
You know, obviously Snicker has been through me once I
got called up. Snit was the third base coach for

(34:33):
the Braves. When I got called up, and then he
obviously became the manager while I was here too. So
to be able to have these moments with people that
have meant so much to me in my career, it's
pretty special. So I've got I get to have Snit
and Doc and Clayton, who you know, got me twenty
plus le Basis, so a lot of people that mean
so much to me. To be in one clubhouse, one

(34:53):
field and trying to win a baseball game in front
of fans that I've spent so many years in front of,
It's going to be a special experience.

Speaker 11 (35:00):
Freddy, I haven't checked in with you about this in
a while, but you've had a lot of time, a
lot of interactions with fans. Are you still amazed by
how many people still come up to you about where
they were when you hit your walk off Grand Slam?

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Yeah, it's still daily every day. It's mostly like I
was just at Charlie's game the other when we landed
on Sunday, I drove straight to West Colovina to make
it to Charlie's last three outs of his third game,
and then as I'm coming in, you know, obviously it's
a bunch of Dodger fans around that area, and you know,
being at a baseball field, you kind of have the
open mind that I'm going to get stopped. But it's

(35:35):
it's a lot of thank yous that, you know. I
just it's still like hard to grasp, you know, but
I do understand the significance of it. But I'm just
super grateful to be able to, you know, create a
moment and obviously do it, you know, like have a
moment myself too, but so many people. It meant so much,
so much to so many people, and obviously it's still

(35:56):
a daily thing. I don't think that's gonna go away
anytime soon. And that's that's a good thing.

Speaker 11 (36:01):
Freddie, I speak on behalf of everybody in Los Angeles
and baseball fans everywhere. The best thank you they could
give you was by voting you this year to be
a starter in this All Star Game for the National League.
So I think everybody said thank you by pouring in
those votes online, and.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
I truly, truly do appreciate it. Me myself and especially
my family appreciate it. So hopefully I continue to play
like an All Star for you guys.

Speaker 11 (36:27):
First class, all the way, all Star, no all Star
that's Freddie Freeman.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
I thank you David very much. Appreciate you guys. Thank you.

Speaker 11 (36:33):
Javiers in Newport Beach is going to celebrate with Freddy
one of these days. And they have a new location
in downtown.

Speaker 7 (36:40):
How about that.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
I like that stick.

Speaker 11 (36:42):
We'll send it back into the studio.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Tip all right, thanks a lot of TV.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Yeah, Freddie Freeman going to the All Star Game, one
of five Dodgers, one of three starters that'll be playing
in the Midsummer Classic next week in at Atlanta. Todgers
Baseball is brought to by Shaky's Pizza Parlor, the official
pizza parker of the Dodgers. Audio broadcast went its game day.
It's group day at Shakys dot com.

This is Morongo Casino Dodgers hunte.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
On your home for La Dodgers Baseball.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Dodgers and Brewers on this Tuesday afternoon for Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
First pitch coming up at for forty.

Speaker 6 (37:29):
And now before the Dodgers hit the Dynack. We look
at the pitching matches.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Hid about your sun of the California Toyota dealers work
hard in playhard in a New Tacoma with an I
Force turbo charge engine. At the truck built for the
bold See your Toyota dealer today. They make it easy.
Jacob Mazerowski on the mound for the Brewers, twenty three
year old right hander, hard throwing right hander, fastball, slider, curveball.
He throws one hundred miles per hour, making his fifth
start since getting called up one of their top pitching prospects.

(37:56):
He's three to one with a three twenty ERA. It's
already had twenty one strikeouts and four starts. Last time
out three and two, thirty innings, five runs, five hits,
two home runs, and a loss to the Mets. This
is his first time ever facing the Dodgers. He is
going up against the future Hall of Famer in Clayton Kershaw,
who is four and oh with a three forty three e.
The thirty six year old left hander his eighteenth season

(38:19):
in the big leagues, making his tenth start here in
twenty twenty five. Last time out and magical Night, he
got his three thousand strikeout against the Chicago White Sox.
He's got a nine to five record in nineteen career
starts against the Milwaukee Brewers with a two to eighty
five erora. He last faced them last October at American
Family Field, five and two third innings, one run, one run,

(38:40):
ball was six strikeouts in picking up the win. So
it's Clayton Kershaw, Jacob Mizerowski. Great pitching matchup Dodgers Brewers.
We're fifteen minutes away for first pitch. Keys to the game.
Our next I'm Tim Kase' the world champion Los Angeles
Dodgers Audio Network.

Speaker 6 (38:57):
This is Marongo Casino Dodgers on tap on.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Your home for the Blue All Season Log.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
It's the Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers on this Tuesday afternoon,
Game two of this three game set. Clayton Kershaw in
the mount his first start after his three thousand strikeouts
last Wednesday. Jacob Miserowski, big hard throwing right hander going
for the Brewers as the Dodgers look to get back
on track. They have lost four in a row, playing
five hundred baseball over the last ten games. They still, though,

(39:28):
are fifty six and thirty six a six game lead
over the Giants and a seven game lead over the
San Diego Padres. Both the Padres and Giants in action
later on tonight.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
All right, let's head.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Back out to the booth one final time before first pitch.
Tim Nevertrick Monday, Guys.

Speaker 7 (39:44):
Tim, thanks again, we get you ready for this one tonight.
Clayton Kershaw hoping to be the stopper as he takes
the mound with a four and zero record against Jacob
Miserowski three and one. First time, the Dodgers will see Missrowski,
the hardy throwing right hander who is the ra winning
National League Rookie of the Month for the month of June,
and it was his first month in the big leagues

(40:05):
and he took on the honors.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Well, get ready to hear the crowd ooz and oz
when they put up the velocity, because one hundred and two,
possibly one hundred and three miles an hour. Meanwhile, the
guy that does not throw that hard, and he was
talking about it, goes, Look, everybody throws hard with exception.
To me, doesn't matter how the velocity is. With Kershaw,
he's effective in the coming off the game where he

(40:27):
notched number three thousand in the strikeout department.

Speaker 7 (40:31):
Kershaw six and one against the Brewers here at American
Family Field over ten starts, and he has the lowest
RA with a minimum of ten starts in this building
at one fifty four, currently tied for the lowest ERA
in the Live ball era with knuckleballer Hoyt Wilhelm.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
Also speaking of RA the last three years, Clayton Kershaw
is in the top twelve pitchers in baseball with low
RA on the road is below three Kershawn Mizerowski.

Speaker 7 (41:02):
The pitching matchup Dodgers and Brewers, Game two of this
three game set in Milwaukee.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
Tip all right, don't forget when this game is over.
David Vessy's got you covered with all the postgame festivities,
clubhouse reaction, the highlights, and of course Dodger talk as well.
Dodgers and Brewers. Great pitching matchup coming up, Jacob Mizerowski.
Can the Dodgers get to the big right hander Clayton
Kershaw looking to get back on track despite his three
thousand strikeout last Wednesday against the White Sox. Dodgers Brewers

(41:30):
from Milwaukee first pitches next. This has been Morocco Casino
