(00:00):
All right, I'm here with thebig sexy Gavin Lux, who is feeling
sexy these days at the plate. Thanks a lot for the time, appreciate
it always for you, Dave.Oh yeah, it feels like sexy is
another word for confidence. You feellike the confidence is getting back and you're
trusting what your legs can do foryou. Yeah, I mean, for
sure, I think just you know, kind of going over the course of

(00:21):
the year and more at bats, you get the kind of better you feel,
and you start to figure stuff outin the game. Instead of you
know, using the cage and tryingto figure it out, you kind of
actually figured it out in the gameand try to figure out your feels whatever
it is. So yeah, Ithink you know the last price since Philly,
it's been pretty good. So justkeep trying to ride the momentum and

(00:41):
hopefully you can just keep carrying iton during the All Star breaks. Since
you are the pride of Kenosha,Wisconsin, what'd you do? Take the
boat out on Lake Michigan, youknow, take the whole Lux family out
there. No, I actually wentback home where my house is now.
I'm not going to stay where inWisconsin. But yeah, yeah, and
I just had a cookout a bunchof my buddies, family, my fiance,

(01:03):
Miley, her family, her friends. So one of those nights that
was good. And then I gotto hit with my uncle, who has
kind of been my hitting coach, you know, ever since I was a
little kid, So that helped too. And then I think, you know,
just getting a mental reset away frombaseball for a couple of days always
helps. How much custard was servedat the luxe party, No custard,
but a lot of a lot ofbeers, brots and burgers. Man,

(01:27):
a lot of that. No,no custard though, all right, since
Milwaukee is known for the brots.I actually learned my recipe from my in
laws. They're from the same areathat your family's from. They kind of
taught me how to make the brots. Can you give us the lux family
recipe on brots? I don't thinkwe have one. Man, we just
go to go to the store andget whatever we see. I don't know,

(01:48):
my family doesn't know how to cooklike that, so I just,
you know, I go get themfrom the store and then throw them on
the grill. No, I actuallyboil them with beer onions and then put
them on the grill. Get thatchar that's fair, that's that's the true
Wisconsin way. I can't I can'tclaim I do that. I'd be lying
to you. Gavin Lux is ourguest. You talk about the mental reset,
you guys come out of the breaknow winning four in a row.

(02:10):
It feels like this team is startingto get their swagger back. Is that
just coming with the wins or howyou're winning these games? You know,
I think a little bit of both. Going into the break. Obviously we
lost a couple of tough ones thatwe probably you know, wish we had
back. But I mean baseball isjust it's so up and down, and
you know, I think even youknow, people thought like, oh,

(02:30):
it's the end of the world, and I look at the standings and we're
still eight games up and you know, twenty wins over five hundred, so
it's never as bad as you thinkit is. And yeah, I think,
you know, we gotta have acouple of good wins against the Red
Sox where we came back and foughtour ass off to to win those ones.
And then even yesterday Tayo with threehuge hits, and you know,
just little things like that over thecourse of the year. You just try

(02:52):
to keep saying to like ride thewave, and I think you know,
our team's doing that and we're gonnaget healthy at the right time and then
hopefully just keep rolling like that.Gavin Luck that's what he's been doing,
fighting his ass off every day.Yeah, and out here. You're out
here every day since the beginning ofspring training trying to get better. Can
you describe the level of accountability youhave for yourself and your teammates have for

(03:14):
each other. Yeah, I thinkyou know, no one's harder on ourselves
than we are internally as you know, individual players, so you know we
as a team. I think youknow, the work ethic is contagious.
I mean, you look out onthe field every day. Keyk's out of
her early, Mooki's out of hereearly. Vargie and Pahes are out here
like everyone's out here early, gettinggetting stuff done. And you know,

(03:36):
I think you look around the leagueand not every team is like that.
So I think just the work ethicis contagious, and I think we just
kind of feed off that from eachother. All right, Kevin, thanks
a lot for the time, appreciateit. You're dripping sweat before first pitch.
You got a game tonight and lookhow much work you put in already
already, when every day, baby, when every day love it, Gavin
Lux is winning the day. Thanksa lot for the time, and you

(03:57):
know we're always rooting for you, always, guy,
