I am a god. Now whatwhy don't you get out of that jumpsuits?
Let me smack that fast. That'sa scary crew. As far as

(00:21):
the product goes, voice of anew generation, many of the young guys
are really at the top of theirgames. The two of them had something
in common. We bring you radioecstasy. Oh it's beautiful broadcasting live from
the studios of AM five seven day. Let it happen. This is the
FNA Podcast. Friday edition of theFNA Podcast. Thank you guys for listening

(00:44):
once again. It's Kevin Figures atk fig one on X. We have
Adam at follow Adam a on X. We are at FNA show on Instagram,
Facebook and X as well. Thankyou for joining us. It is
a Friday Friday edition of the FNAPodcast. It's gonna be with you,
guys. Rebreeze in the house onceagain, our microphones not in front of
her Friday talking. Okay, okay, okay. Look, it's kind of

(01:08):
tradition that it's a foot away fromyou and then I got a scream at
you. Hey, we're doing ashow here. Let's go everyone get in
line, all right, breezing thehouse. Coming up later on the show,
we're gonna talk NFL because it wassuccessful last week. We did a
handful of questions. I threw it, Kevin. We kind of punted around,

(01:30):
and we'll talk some more about theupcoming games this weekend now that the
Super Wildcard weekend is over. Whatwe got four games this week? We
do? This is some people saythe best weekend in the NFL postseason is
a divisional round, and hopefully it'llbe better than Wildcard weekend because we basically
had one competitive game. Yeah, that was kind of rough outside that Lions
game, right, Lions Rams wasthe only one. Okay, okay,

(01:51):
So we'll get to that, butfirst we got to start things off with
some voicemails here. I believe wegot at least one on the Talk ass
hotline. Nine four nine four seveneight eleven in ninety seven is the number
if you do want to talk someass. What's what we have? Well,
guys, I just want to putin my letter of resignation to Adam

(02:14):
to be his troll because apparently Dukeinformed me that petries and money are interested
in my services and mostly it's tootrash, every single one of Adam's street
h it was a pretty funny show. Like I had no idea what Duke

(02:36):
just said. Oh they mentioned you. I'm like, that's random, but
look I went to go listen, like, Okay, it's just because of
me controlling Adam. But that waspretty funny. That was my name.
Will ever mentioned That's funny, butthat was it was. It was entertaining.
Thank you Duke for sharing Efner. So yeah, okay, I have

(03:00):
no idea what he's talking about,So enlighten me Adam please. So that
was andre three thousand ways to hateon FNA for those who don't know out
there. And you paid you havepaid him to be your personal hit man.
Well here's what happened on Twitter orx a couple of months ago.
Because every once in a while whensomeone else was talking s to me,

(03:21):
he would go after them on Twitterand say, I'm the only one that
control Adam. Because we have thislong history of going back and forth back
to Baia's days with the Dodgers, who he loved, and I would call
out here and there and some ofhis sports teams don't exactly align with mine.
Some doesn't matter, New York Knicks, stuff like that. Who cares,

(03:42):
irrelevant. But the point was,in the most recent time that I
asked him to go after somebody whowas bugging me on Twitter or on x
he said, if you give metwenty bucks. So I was like,
all right, bet, what's yourVENMO, what's your PayPal? And I

(04:02):
ended up giving it to and Isaid, I want two months of troll
protection service. You're gonna be mytroll hunter. I'm gonna sick you on
anyone who's coming after me. Now, really it's just a way for me
to troll other people through Andre andget away with that. And it happened
to be a lot of trolling ofEric Sklar, the Duke of Sports.

(04:25):
It really just turned into going afterhim, to the point he got so
upset he started texting me to getAndre back back because I would just basically
the method was this, if Isee something, I say something, and
I would just at Andre on amessage where somebody was coming after me.

(04:46):
But I started adding him after, you know, just innocuous things like you
know, the Duke of Sports doingplay by play for the Lakers and saying
like Christian Wood got a three pointer. I'd be at Andre and be like,
okay, go, go go,and he was like, what this
isn't trolling. I didn't do anythingto you. Why are you sending Andre
after me? So it turned intoa lot of that, and then yesterday

(05:08):
on PMS he outed me for mytroll Hunter now subscription. Does the Duke
now have a weekly spot on PMSor something? Or was he just walk
in the halls and they grabbed himlike how did Yeah, I'm not sure
why he happened to be on thatday or what was the genesis of that,
but eventually it got to that pointand they were like, oh,

(05:29):
you know, that's sad, that'spathetic or whatever. But now I think
they want to get Andre. Theywant to pay him more to come after
me. Although I didn't hear thatpart on the show, so I'm not
exactly sure. But so did youactually go back and listen and you said
you can you can't decipher that youdidn't hear that happening? Yeah, Andre
said it happened sometime an hour twoon yesterday's PMS show on Want to Tap

(05:53):
That Ass? Thursday? What dothey call it. I don't know if
it's Thursday or not, but yeah, that's not allowed anymore. But if
that's the case, I mean,I'll just block Andre myself. I mean,
I've done it many times before,so there's a quick fix for that.
But you know, it's all fun. Andre and I actually do somewhat

(06:14):
get along behind the scenes at times, and I think there is real love
there. He came to my birthdayparty a couple of years ago, so
it's it's kind of just a littlegame we play. So is this a
sophomoric But it's entertaining to me.So it's not going to turn into a
bidding war between yourself and PMS.No, I ain't got that kind of
scratch making sure. I'm not convincedthey'll pay him either. Of course they

(06:38):
won't paying him. We know howthese guys actually work. It ain't happening.
It's good show fodder. But Idon't know if they'd actually pay it.
Literally, we'll see, we'll seeif they want to have I told
Andre, hey, if they wantto pay you more to do what you've
been doing to me for god eightyears, then by all means take their
money. Take it. But it'sgoing to be a quick block. That's

(07:02):
how it goes at that point.Correct me back. It'll be the same
thing you guys have been doing towand off, tumultuous relationship Ross Rachel thing.
I get it, I get itbreak. So thank you Andre for
the for the update in the voicemail. If you want to be like Andrea
and leave us a call. Ninefour nine four seven eight eleven ninety seven
is the number now before we getto NFL questions on the back end of

(07:23):
the show. We're excited about thisguest. Second time we've had him on
this year. We had him onright before the start of the college football
season. I guess first time thiscalendar year, if you want to put
it in twenty twenty four. Butone of our favorites, you know,
Adam worked with them for years onthe Clipper broadcast, and now he's branched
out one of the faces of thePeacock, doing work for CBS in Paramount
and Nickelodeon, doing work for theBrooklyn Nets. He's all over the place.

(07:45):
Pretty soon he's going to be chasingdown his dad and doing all sorts
of stuff. He's one of thegreats. Let's get to it, Adam
Alan, Dragan Dad, thank youJohnny. Well, if you know the
show, you know we use ydin our intro with who do you love?
And we love our next guest who'salso a wife. It's the young
goat in Noah Egle back on theFNA podcast. Yeah, he's already a
goat and dominating the broadcasting field byturning every game he calls into a field

(08:09):
of dreams like setting with how flawlesslyhe interweaves the information and the storylines while
meeting every big moment with the rightwords to enhance it, while knowing when
to lay out like Vin Scully andlet the picture tell a thousand words.
And you're not just finding him onNBC Now but on Yes Network as he's
keeping the nest warm for Big BirdIron Eagle, who's going to be out

(08:31):
for some NETS games. So Noahis in. It's the leader of the
TM crew. Back on the fANDA podcast, it's our friend, Noah
Eagle. Noah, how are wedoing my men? O? Adam,
I think you know that you're theone who actually taught me. If you
build it, they will come.Field of dreams are not. I'm ready.
I'm glad to be talking to youguys. I'm excited for this coming

(08:52):
weekend. It's gonna be a tonof fun. It's gonna be a bittersweet
feel in a lot of ways, but a lot of positive emotions. For
we are excited to see Noah atthe Clippers Nets game on Sunday. Before
we get to that, I wanta quick wrap on what the first season
was like at NBC. We justsaw you on the playoff call for the
Browns versus the Houston Texans, ButBig ten Saturday Night was a hit.

(09:18):
Just how did everything go? Whatwas the experience like? Oh dude,
it was an absolute blast. Youknow, I got really lucky that I
got a great crew and Todd BlackledgeI think is an elite, elite analyst.
You know, Catherine Tappan is anoutstanding sideline reporter, and our production
crew was really amazing. But youknow, we got to do primetime games,
and I think as a broadcaster andas a sports fan, that's what

(09:41):
you dream of, you know whenyou at least for me, when I
was growing up, I always feltlike the best things happened when the sun
went down the lights came on,and so to be there and feel that
every single week was really cool, and then certainly to have the culmination this
past week with the playoff game wasjust a cherry on top. You know.
I think we felt like we reallydid everything we could this year to

(10:03):
set us off on the right footand hopefully keep the momentum rolling in the
year. Two No Eagles. Jamaicanman, he has a ton of jobs.
Didn't even mention the work that usfor CBS and Paramount Plus. I
saw you doing the Christmas Day gameon Nickelodeon as well, and I know
you've done a few of those overthe last couple of years. A playoff
game, I think in the mixof the last couple of seasons. I've
checked out a few of those broadcasts. I think it's really fun for the
kids with the slime and all that. How what has that experience been and

(10:26):
is there more of that coming upin the future. Getting figgy with it,
I forgot I had to do that. That's an obligation. Yeah,
appreciate it. Those are special,They're different, you know what I mean.
Look, Adam knows he worked inme the last four years. Big
brother Jake knows he worked with methe last four years. I really am
a big kid at heart in alot of ways. And sure there's this

(10:48):
mature side and this old soul side, but you know, we let it
come out and we just try tohave fun. And those broadcasts, the
best thing about them is it's organicfor it, like that's what it's built
for. So for all of us, myself and Nate Burlison, our entire
production crew and everybody that's you know, pouring their blood, sweat and tears
out to make sure that product isgood, that's what it's all about.

(11:09):
We just get to embrace our innerkid. And so we're gonna be back
to the super Bowl this year, which is really exciting. We're gonna be
broadcasting with SpongeBob and Patrick Oh comeon, which is a first for me.
You know, that's a dream cometrue for young Noah. To be
a member, you know, anhonorary member of the Bikini Bottom fam was

(11:30):
huge, huge to hear, hugefor the brand, as some might say.
So I'm really looking forward to that. But yeah, they're always a
blast. Screw Romo and Nance. You got Patrick and SpongeBob, I'm in.
I don't know, Old Jim,I don't know. Noah said,
you just called their game. Arethe Texans a real threat to upset the
Ravens this weekend? Is that apossibility because I don't think anyone saw this

(11:52):
Cinderella season coming. Yeah. Imean, look, I think that anytime
you're playing with house money, whichthe Texans are, they're always a threat.
And they're going to be a threatas long as they are this rookie
quarterback, head coach combination, rookieedge rusher, third overall picked. They're
not necessarily expected to keep advancing atthis point. They weren't even expected to

(12:13):
make the postseason. So when you'vegot nothing to lose, you're dangerous.
And I think when you have CJ. Strout as your quarterback, you're dangerous.
I mean, it was among themost impressive meetings I've ever had sitting
down with that kid. He's justso poised, so calm. But more
than anything, he's such a greatleader. And he did it in his
way. He didn't force himself. He didn't go in all rah rah and

(12:33):
saying Hey, this is how we'regoing to do it. He was patient.
He earned the trust and the respectof his teammates and his coaches,
and I think you see that onthe field because we know what his physical
tools are, Like, I mean, that's obvious if you turn on the
TV or if you just watch anyfilm, like it's impressive, But it's
the intangibles that he brings along withit. And Demiko Ryans has outstanding energy.

(12:56):
So look, do I expect themto win? I don't know,
But are they much capable of winning? One thousand percent? And I'll be
excited to watch. You know,we talked about how hard you work,
and you're one of the hardest workersthat we know. And you know,
a lot of announcers, you know, bounce around and do a bunch of
different gigs, And I don't thinkpeople really appreciate the kind of work that
goes into being able to call aBig ten football game and then switch over
and do a NETS basketball game, and then fly out and do an NFL

(13:18):
game and come back the next nightand do another NETS game. I would
imagine that your head will be spinningat that point in time. Just what
is what's the creative process? Likewhen you have you know, you're doing
three games in a span of youknow, seventy two hours or whatever it
is, and you're having a changeof vernacular and make sure that you don't
call Nico Collins Michael Bridges. Youknow, how does that sort of thing
work? Yeah, yeah, Iwas really close. I guess they've got

(13:41):
similar facial hair. Yeah. Iwasn't sure which was switch at one point,
but uh now I look at him, knows he saw it really last
year more than any of the previouswhere I was flying and doing college football
across the country, and then thereare a lot of times I was flying,
you know, either very late orday of and doing a Clipper game.
Or sometimes I would fly into acity day of and do a Clipper

(14:03):
game and then turn back around todo tennis. And so, you know,
I think the key is compartmentalizing theright way, and most importantly,
it's time management and getting ahead, you know, recognizing if I have multiple
games. So like this year,I knew back to back days we're going
to be in Columbus. I wasdoing Ohio State basketball on a Friday and
Ohio State football on a Saturday, and then I had to turn back around
and do nets the following week. And so you know, knowing that I've

(14:26):
got that coming up, I've gotto say two weeks ahead of that,
all right, how can I setthe groundwork, or at least get seventy
five to eighty percent of this doneso that when it comes to the day
before the game or two days beforethe game, all I really need to
do is the finishing touches on learningand familiarizing myself and the content. But
then it's just focused from that pointon, when I'm sitting in a chair

(14:48):
or I'm standing doing a game,and I'm in the environment, it's just
supreme focus that's required to make surethat you stay on top of your you
know what. I've seen that focusfirsthand. One time, NOL was called
on the Clippers game in the UCLAgame during the tournament at the same time,
two games at the same time.Noah, what new matchup in the

(15:09):
Big Ten with this Pac twelve invasioncoming, are you looking forward to?
Well, I'm really just all fourteams, guys. I mean, if
we're talking football, I think it'sfascinating because it's completely different styles now going
up against each other, and Ithink everybody's looking forward to seeing how the
Big Ten offenses can hang with thoseWest Coast offenses, and how those West

(15:30):
Coast defenses can compete with those BigTen defenses, and then same with vice
versa. How will the West Coastoffense fare against the Big Ten defense?
And how will the Big Ten defensefair against the West Coast offense. So
I think that's the most fascinating orthey all four teams, because they're all
so different than really what all theother Big Ten teams are like, and
really the coaches are so different. You know. Obviously now jet Fish is

(15:54):
stepping in at Washington, so youknow we saw him at least I did
last season at Arizona and they upsetUCLA and what was a really critical loss
for the Bruins heading into the USCgame. It was a disappointing one for
Chef Kelly. But you think aboutChip Kelly, Jetfish and Lincoln Riley alone,
offensively, they are off the chartsand they are creative play callers.

(16:15):
They're different play callers. You know, Dan Lannings more of a defensive minded
guy first, but he does knowhow to adapt that. He certainly brings
in a great staff around him atOregon. You know, it was funny
though, because this year, justa couple of the teams we had,
we recognized that they were already startingto go towards that evolution that the Big
Ten has really been the last conferenceto evolve. They just haven't had that

(16:38):
you know, spread offense, theyhaven't had that West Coast feel. Almost
every other conference in America had madethe switch at some point and had been
willing to change a little bit intheir ways aside from this one. So
we saw it a little bit withWisconsin. They brank in, brought in
Phil Longo who was offensive coordinator comingfrom North Carolina and runs a lot more

(16:59):
of that type of fuel. Thattype of offense is going to be a
little bit more hurry up, lesshuddling. That's not what the Big Ten's
accustomed to. So we saw itthere. We saw it with Nebraska and
Matt Ruhle already recognizing that they've gotto evolve, and they all admitted,
all the ones that we talked toadmitted like, hey, this is what
we have to do because we seewhat's coming on the horizon. And then,
of course, yesterday we just foundout Bill O'Brien's going to be the

(17:21):
offensive coordinator at Ohio State. SoI think all these schools in a Big
Ten are already starting to adapt justa little bit and seeing if they can
get ahead of the curve. You'recoming into this season and you look at
the defitting national champion coming into nextyear winning in bow Shimbler typeway. You
know football, run the ball, play defense, and you're brought up coaching.
So I kind of asked you aboutJim Harball and talking about the Big

(17:42):
Ten. I don't know how manyMichigan games did you guys have this year?
Yeah, we had three of them, okay, And honestly, meeting
with Jim was always a pleasure forus. He's a different guy. He
really is different guy. But he'svery much authentically himself, which I appreciate,
and he would always give us verystraight answers. He would always be

(18:03):
honest with us and upfront. AndI was really confident in that team after
the first time we had them, which was I think Week six against Minnesota
or somewhere in that range, andwe all felt that that team was special.
I mean, you just talked tothe players and you could tell that
they were a little different. Theywere close, they were all, you
know, very selfless guys who werewilling to sacrifice for the better of the

(18:26):
team. And so some of thatcredit goes to their coaching staff obviously,
but a lot of it really doesgo to the players. And I felt
like, you know, through allthe controversy that they had in adversity so
to speak, which I don't reallylove that word for them because it's a
lot of it that they brought onthemselves, but for everything that they went
through in the season, those playersI felt like didn't deserve didn't get the
credit that they deserve because they weregetting blamed that they didn't deserve. You

(18:48):
know, they didn't necessarily do anythinghere. They were just following whatever direction
was given to them. And soI think those kids, like, I
think that's a team. Honestly, guys, we're going to look back on
and ten fifteen years and say,oh, they had a lot of really
good players that played a long timeat a high level in the NFL,
and on both sides of the ball. I think JJ McCarthy a lot of

(19:10):
people have just watched him and said, well, I don't know if that's
going to translate, but what theydon't see is the mental side, the
intangibles that he brings on that wereeleaks. They were some of the most
elite we met with all year, and some of the things he does,
they're not normal for a kid hisage, and so I look at that,
I sor right. If he's inthe right situation in the NFL,
I think he's got a chance toreally to excel, to succeed at that

(19:33):
level. So he might not bethe most physically imposing or impressive quarterback in
the world, but mentally he's ata different tier. And the same with
Blake Korum, and the same withthat entire offensive line, and the same
with Chris Jenkins Junior, who wasjust a pleasure and Mikey sayerstill who is
incredibly impressive. Like they are atop tier team. So what will they
look like next year? I don'tknow. Will they have Jim Arbaum going

(19:55):
to jump to your question before youeven ask you, Kevin, will they
have him there next year? Idon't know if in all likelihood. I
think one, And this is justme trying to go full Noah sir damas
guys, but I think one likeit barbar Gosi NFL, And two he
drafts JJ McCarthy wherever he is.That's my prediction for you, guys.
Okay, I like it. Ican see that happening. The question I

(20:17):
did want to ask you as faras Harbord Michigan was more about the perception
of Michigan throughout the season, andyou doing production meetings with these coaches and
staff members of these different schools inthe conference. You don't have to out
anybody or say anything for that wasset off the record, obviously, but
just from a general vibe in Amalgam, how big of a deal was the
Conor Stallion situation. Just getting thevibe from other coaches and officials throughout the

(20:38):
conference who you spoke with throughout theseason. Yeah, no, no,
it was a huge deal, especiallywithin the Big Ten. I think that's
the key in all of this.It was really a much bigger deal within
those coaching conversations than anything else.I think a lot of the coaches were
angry, I think understandably so theyfelt like there was a legitimate, unfair

(21:00):
competitive advantage and as a result, they felt like the Big Ten needed to
act, which eventually Tony Patiti, the commissioner, did and suspended Jim Harbaugh
the last three games of the regularseason. But I think a lot of
them felt like that wasn't enough, and so we'll see what the eventual NCAA
investigation finds and what the eventual punishmentlooks like but it was a legitimately big
deal, especially within the conference, and I think the repercussions are still being

(21:22):
felt in some ways. Last onefor you here, No, you're on
the call on YES Network for theBrooklyn Nets, taken on the Clippers on
Sunday at Crypto dot com arena. You've been away from this Clippers team now
for about half a season at least. What have you observed? What have
you seen? And just getting thatdifferent perspective on where they're at now from

(21:44):
the team you've seen over the pastfour seasons. Well, first and foremost
that they've got the best radio broadcastin the NBA. Go Straight is still
the truth? Still the truth?I mean, Adam, you know that
I still tune in as much asI can think Carlo Jmenez if anybody body
has not already listened to him,the kid is legit, and the legit
is probably an understatement. The kidis soaring well above any expectation that should

(22:08):
have been put there for them, and then in shattering any glass in front
of them, not full Stephen Glass, puts shattering it none the less.
So he's been outstanding, and youguys have all been outstanding as a team,
which has been great for me tokind of follow along. Now on
the other side, I feel alot of joy doing that. The team
itself is really good. They're reallygood. Obviously, the James Harden thing,

(22:30):
it was funny because here in NewYork, you know, a lot
of people were saying to me,Ah, that's not gonna work, that's
not gonna worry. I go giveme ten games, because you know the
first five games. Obviously, alot of people are like, I told
you, I told you, youtold you. I said, let me
get ten games, he said.I was around t Lou long enough to
know he always needs ten and ifyou give him ten games with the same

(22:51):
lineup and there's no interruptions, theywill figure it out. Well, sure
enough, the ten games passed andeveryone goes, wait, what happened here?
And it feels like ever since then, no one wants to admit that
it's working, or no one wantsto demonstratedly admit that it's working. No,
no, you know, they've shifted. They've gone to well, let's
see even the playoffs then come on, yeah, yeah, yeah, of
course that's how it works. AndI get that, and Honestly, there's

(23:12):
there's validity to that. You know, this team has to do it when
it matters the most. But peoplejust like the gloss over the fact it
was this happened again. You know. I was talking to someone and they're
like, yeah, you know whenLuca beat the Clippers, and like,
Luca never beat the clip every Idid, every single game, and this

(23:32):
happened again with something else. I'mtrying to think what the other Oh Lamar
Jackson I was. I was havinga conversation with a friend and I was
like, well, you know,Lamar is just looking to win another He's
going to win his second playoff game. They're like, he never won a
playoff game. I'm like, yes, he did. He literally won a
playoff game a couple of seasons ago, and people just strike it from the
record. It's like the Clippers andLuka Doncicic. I don't understand it.

(23:53):
So anyway, that's just my tiradefor a moment because I needed to get
it off my chest. But eitherthe team's incredibly impressive, They're incredibly balanced.
I'll be curious how they fare withoutBig Zoo for the next month.
That's a huge loss for them.I think people are starting to recognize just
how good Big Zoo is and stillprobably aren't giving him enough credit because he's
an elite room protector. He's anoutstanding pick and roll partner now for James

(24:17):
Harden, and Harden obviously elevates allthe bigs that he plays with. We've
seen that his entire career. ButI think that without Big Zoo, it'll
be a great opportunity to kind ofshow the depth that they actually have at
that center spot, which they didn'thave last year, you know, for
the first two thirds of the seasonuntil trading for Mason Plumbley, but not
have Plumbly back healthy and Daniel Tysonthere. It just has a better feel,

(24:41):
you know, and really to me, positioning themselves to go up against
the Denver Nuggets. And I lookat the Western Conference. I think Minnesota's
very good, and obviously the Clippershad a battle with them, but they
did it without Big Zoo. Ithink if you have Big Zoo in there,
you beat that team. I thinkOklahoma City is very good, but
we saw the Clippers get past them, and in the seven game series.
I'm taking Kawhi and PG and Hardenand experience over the youth of OKC.

(25:06):
I think that there are other teamsthat are kind of there, but it's
still the Denver Nuggets to me inthe Western Conference, and if you're going
up against the Denver Nuggets, youneed a plan for Jokic. And this
is the first year since one basicallywhen I got there, when they got
Kawhi and PG that I actually feellike they have the personnel to go up
against them, or at least tryto slow them down, because you're not
going to stop them, but youcan make life a little more difficult when

(25:27):
you've got three guys you can legitimatelythrow at them. So I think Telu's
been maybe the coach of the year, at least he should be. In
the conversation, Norman Palell has reallystepped up. You know. I wasn't
sure what that was going to looklike with Harden coming in, and he's
kind of taken it in stride inthat six man role. Russell Westbrook has
sacrificed a lot, which has beenvery cool to see. Terrence Man is

(25:48):
starting to play better and more likehimself. So it's a team that's really
good, and I think anybody inthe league should be scared of Yeah,
cook king, stay healthy, justgot to stay healthy. That's always the
buggling for the Clippers. Are hopingthat this will be the year for them.
Noah, this has been a pleasure, man, It always is.
We appreciate you taking some time.We know you're very busy working for NBC
Sports. We mentioned CBS and Paramountcall them the super Bowl? How about

(26:10):
that for Nickelodeon doing Now, arethey gonna have any like special? Like
guess had Santa Claus running up thesideline, running routes doing the Christmas broadcast.
You're gonna have anything like that doingthe Super Bowl? Oh? We
got all of bikini bottom. That'sall I need to say. Well,
and I can't. I can't releasethe secret formula. Okay for the patty,
but I can tell you it slaps. No, you're the best man.

(26:33):
We appreciate it. Take care. We'll talk to you soon. Love
you guys. Thanks for having me. Thanks again to Noah Ego for coming
on. That was special, verycool. But now we got some of
those casual NFL questions from an NFLcasual which I have become one of the
headlines on the announcement of starting quarterback. Not that I don't think there are

(26:56):
any major quarterback injuries this week.Everybody that played last week is far as
I know, is in this particularlyweekend, so we should be good on
quarterbacks. I can be a littlebit more specific. Well, I'm just
saying, you know, if youasked the question, now at least answered
what are the headlines on the startingquarterback? Excuse me? So here we
go. We'll start with this,Kevin, as I was thinking about this
last night, obviously, with thenews coming out of Dallas and them losing

(27:18):
their first game. I mean, they already in the playoffs All Star,
right, were you more surprised thanthe way the Dallas Cowboys lost or the
fact that they are keeping Mike McCarthyon which I find very surprising stupid.
I'm actually more surprised that they theway they lost in the fact that they're
keeping McCarthy. Because as much aseverybody says that Jerry Jones, you know,

(27:41):
he has to win now when he'sgetting old, than all this stuff,
there's a certain amount of effort thatgoes into having to change your entire
organizational structure, bringing somebody who wantsto run their own show. And if
you're talking about being in the marketfor a Pete Carroll or Bill Belichick.
That's kind of what this is goingto turn itself into. So I don't
know if Jerry Jones is willing tosee the kind of power and authority to
a figure like that. He'd muchrather say, you know what, we

(28:02):
have all the talent in the world. It was disappointing. Why do we
lose the way that we lost? How can we find a way to be
able to fix it internally without goingoutside? Now, whether we can debate
whether or not that's the right wayto go about it, this is the
I want to win my way,you know, I want to win,
but I want to win the waythat I want to win kind of situation.
Which are any of us surprised thatJerry Jones wants to do that?
He wants the credit to a certaindegree. Yeah, I also just don't

(28:25):
think he wants to be able toHe wants to turn the keys of his
franchise over to somebody like that. And you know, if you're going to
bring in someone with the cloud ofa Bill Belichick or a Pete Carroll,
who, let's be honest, Like, as much as we criticized Mike McCarthy
for his in game decision making andall that. DU's won twelve games the
last three years, due has agreat winning record, has won a super
Bowl in the past. How muchcredit you want to give to him or
not, that's up to you.He has it. He won a super

(28:47):
Bowl championship. He is a successfulhead coach in this league. Now,
if you think he can take youto only a certain point, that's fine.
But he has not been a totaldisaster. Now. Last Sunday,
notwithstanding, was a total disaster. To get run off your home field and
you hadn't lost at home almost intwo years. It was a disaster.
Class. Yeah, but I'm notsurprised that Jerry Jones decided to keep him.
I'm more surprised that I'm not surprisedthat they lost. Some surprise,

(29:08):
they lost that badly. What aboutthe quarterbackback who well, I respect post
game saying, you know, ifhe's part of the problem, I'm part
of the problem then too. Hereally took ownership of what happened. But
can he get them to the promiseland. I'm not without a lot of
help around him. The problem yourun into when you have someone like him

(29:29):
is how do you, what's yourpath to improve in at that position.
It's a veteran demanding a trade fromsomewhere or something like that happening. It's
rare you're not gonna find. Look, they found him in the draft,
and by happens stance, Tony Romogot hurt, he got slided in as
the starter, played well enough, and he's improved. His numbers in the
regular season. This year may havebeen the best numbers he's ever had.
You know, he was really efficient. But unfortunately when the lights got the

(29:51):
brightest in the playoffs against San Francisco, who I honestly think that the Cowboys
just kind of overlooked. I don'tthink they thought that that team was going
to show up. Excuse me,I said, says San Franciscome in green
Bay. They thought that Green Baywas just going to show up and roll
over because they had a rookie quarterbackand a bunch of kids offensively, and
once they got punched in the mouthearly on, Dallas didn't know how to
respond, and then they started pressing, and that's when you have the pick
six that basically turned it from asomewhat manageable I think it was twenty twenty

(30:14):
to nothing and it turned into twentyseven and nothing to become a route.
So unfortunately for Dallas, I thinkyou have to keep deck because what's the
alternative? Trey Lance? Yeah, right, exactly. My point is that
my quarterback, that's nobody's quarterback. No fairly. Now, I know some
might see this as an easy answerbecause of recency biased, but you're more
of a critical thinker. Who's thebetter coaching candidate, Harbor or Belichick?

(30:38):
Quiz? It depends what situation arewe talking about. I don't know I
can if I can put those twotogether in a Malcolm to be honest,
just say, in general, whowould you rather have. I'd rather have
Jim because he's younger. But let'ssay, depending on the situation that you're
in, Like if it was Dallas, I think I'd probably rather have Bill
Belichick to be honest with you,Okay, you're if you're the Chargers,

(31:00):
it's a younger team, has youngveterans on it, knowing the style of
play that he likes to play andwhat the Chargers have lacked these last couple
of years in being physical defensively andoffensively upfront and being able to run the
ball. Along with the great quarterback. I think he would be a great
fit for the Chargers. So justif we're gonna just take it in a
blanket statement, I would take hardballbecause he's younger. But I just think

(31:22):
it depends on the situation that you'rein in determining which coach you'd rather have.
Chargers should jump on that. Doyou think they will? Though,
with the history of Dean Spanos,I don't. I wouldn't bet on it.
We I would hope so for thefor their for their sake, because
it's easy. It's a layup.We know he's I can't say we know.
There have been reports that he reallycovets and wants the job, but
you're gonna have to pay for him. And the Chargers don't pay head coaches.

(31:45):
They just don't. They never have. They're still paying Brandon Staley,
although to be fair, he alsohad one year left on his deal.
Right, he's got one year left. I like four million, which in
NFL coach you know salaries, isnot that much. I will say this,
though, nobody thought they would firehim in season because they didn't want
to let a guy go that they'restill right, Well, it got so
bad and you're in La. Myman, you gotta compete with the Rams

(32:07):
playing it so far, I'm notdisagreeing with you. You gotta spend money
to make money out there. Yougotta pitch that to Dean Spanls. So
you got to tell me. Iwould to hire Jim Harball yesterday if I
could have better chance than an upsetthis weekend Texans and Baltimore or the Packers
in San Franz Packers in San Francisco. San Francisco defense is good. It's
not as dominant as it has been. Doesn't mean that it's not good.

(32:28):
But if you're Green Bay and youcan run the ball even a little bit.
With the way the receivers are playingagainst the San Francisco secondary, which
is not a strong suit of theirdefense at this point in time, is
really upfront. So if Green Baycan actually find a way to play solidly
upfront, there's place to be madeon the back end if they can protect
them. I see that more thanhappening in Houston. Even though Marlon Humphrey's
hurt ford for Baltimore, Houston isyoung on the road. Last week they

(32:51):
played great against Cleveland, but theywere at home inside of a Dome.
I don't think there's gonna be snowflurries or anything in Baltimore, but playing
out there in the elements when you'rea pass happy team like Houston is and
inexperienced defensively against Lamar Jackson, whoI know his numbers weren't the greatest,
but he's going to be the MVPbecause he makes all the right plays at
the right time and has all seasonlong. Never won a playoff game,
yeah, I never won a playoffwon playoff game against Tennessee a couple of

(33:14):
years ago. How did this becomelike that? There's the Mendela effect in
sports. Is one thing. Ifyou're Jalil White and you disappear for five
years and people said, hey,you died, and he's like, no,
I didn't. I'm right here. It's another to be like Luca beat
the Clippers. It was like, what series were you watching? And if
there's a half of a doubt inyour mind, go to Basketball Reference and
look it up. It didn't happen. Former NBA player now analyst Steve Smith

(33:36):
on NBA TV said he beat theClippers, It's like, you guys got
brainwashed or gas lighted because he hitthat game winner in the Bubble against them,
and you thought they won the seriesthat way. Then they played him
in the next year they lost inseven to the Clippers. Why is outplayed
him in both series. It's prettyridiculous. But yeah, so I think
it's more likely now. All thatbeing said, I still think that San

(33:58):
Francisco beats Green Bay. But you'reasking me who's more more likely to get
the upset. I think Green Bay'smore likely to UPSat San Francisco than Houston
is to beat Baltimore. I agreewith you. I remember back when it
was an upset when Farv went inthe Candlestick back in ninety five and beat
the forty nine Ers, who werecoming off winning the Super Bowl the year
before, against the San Diego Chargershad another great season and they got upset

(34:21):
at home, and it was kindof the coming out party for Brett Farv
and that Packers team that would eventuallygo on a big run. I think
they lost to Dallas eventually in theplayoffs, as Dallas went on to win
the Steelers that year. But Icould see, you know, if you
had to pick one of them,I could see that happening, or being
more like I also, just thoughI don't trust Green Bay's defense, to
be honest with you too, Ialso think that, you know, the

(34:43):
Cowboy offense got off to such aslow start, the defense played were early
on, and then things just kindof got away from him. But Joe
Berry has been like under fire asa defensive coordinator in Green Bay all season
long. They've been decent, notgreat, and have given up a lot
of big plays and they can't reallystop the run against a quality run game,
which Dallas does not have, andSan Francisco has one of the best
in the entire league. So Ithink that's gonna end up being their downfall.

(35:04):
They got Dom Caper's back there, where's the three four? Where's the
three to four defense in today's pass? I want to see four three.
I really feel like everything's hybridized atthis point, to be honest with you,
all Right, Uh, if theBills don't beat the Chiefs this time
in the playoffs with home field,do they got to start thinking about blowing
some things up? Well? Yeah, I mean that's one name that people

(35:28):
have talked about. With Sean McDermott. You're gonna be late in the process,
and it's rare that a coach thatmakes it to the postseason gets fired.
But to your point in time orto your point, this is as
right for the pick against Kansas Cityhas ever been. Uh and you mentioned
now the thing that works against Buffalois they have a lot of guys who
are injured on both sides of theball. They're really limping into the game
despite the fact that it's at home, and last year they lose at home

(35:49):
against Cincinnati, a team they shouldn'thave lost too, to be honest with
the considering the state of where bothteams were going into that game, and
Kansas City's defense is real for asmany issues they've had offensively with you know,
the receivers dropping passes and all that. Urashi Rice balled out last week
against Miami. So maybe they foundsomething, They found the magic of look
through and they could turn it onin the playoffs. If Buffalo's gonna win,

(36:09):
it's gonna be a high scoring game, to be honest with you,
because I don't know if they're eveneven with Kansas City struggles. They're just
so banged up on defense. It'shard for me to see Buffalo holding Kansas
City under twenty one twenty eight points. So I think Buffalo's got to score
somewhere into the high twenties or tothe low thirties to be able to win.
I tried to warn people about thatdouchey, frat boy looking Josh Allen,

(36:30):
but they wouldn't listen to me.Well, even though he's been really
good, he's also a turnover machine. I mean, look outside of that.
If it wasn't for that, lookthat last gaming in the regular season
against Miami, I mean, he'swhat. He threw three interceptions and they
still found a way to win. Can't trust him. That changed their fortunes
too. I mean Miami could havebeen hosting they would have been hosting Buffalo
that very last weekend in the wildcardgame, if Miami would have found a
way to win. But they hada certain number of issues as to why

(36:51):
they've messed up as well. ButI think Kansas City actually beats them,
mostly because Buffalo is banged up andbecause Josh Allen number one has to be
Superman every week in and now evenmore so because he's gonna have to be
able to keep up, and Idon't think he'll be able to do that
because he turns the ball over waytoo much. He's gonna be pressing too
many turnovers. So I like KansasCity as much as it pains me to
say that. As a Raider fan, you hear that McDermott foot out the

(37:12):
door already. Can come back tomy Panthers if you want? No,
why would any self respecting human beingone? I want that job. It's
fair, sadly, it is fair. Uh, last one for you,
pop quiz hot shot. If theLions win two playoff games after not winning
one for thirty years, should thatbring hope to all long suffering fan bases

(37:37):
like my Panthers? Now? No, like the Raiders, gotta win it
all. Got gotta win a champion. You gotta be at the Cubs that
you gotta win the title. Twowins the playoffs is the championship. I
gotta win the championship or the ship, as people say, which I hate.
Maybe you think they could be apotential threat. Yeah, you know,
I think they'll beat Tampa Bay.Now the crazy part is now,

(37:58):
if Green Bay finds some way toupset San Francisco, Detroit's going to be
hosting the NFC championship game against theirbiggest rival at Ford Field. How insane?
Would that be? They won theNFC North. Yeah, Now,
can they beat a potential Baltimore youknow type team in the in the Super
Bowl? I think it would betough. But knowing their team identity,
I still think that Campbell's a littletoo aggressive for my liking at certain points

(38:22):
and times in the game. No, Look, it's worked out for him
the majority of the time this season. There's even a couple of times has
why couldn't that be me? Now, look, there were a couple of
times it didn't. He kept goingforward against Chicago and they got run off
the field because he just didn't wantto punt for some reason. You know,
there was a game against Green Baywhere he kept going forward and ended
up costing them. So there havebeen times where it's worked against them.
You just don't want it to happenin the biggest moments. Yeah, exactly.

(38:45):
So Look, look, if they'reif they're good enough to make it
to the Super Bowl, why thehell can't they win it? You know?
Why not? So? But theygot to You gotta get there,
you gotta win. I'm still nota Jared Goff believer, but that's just
because my cousin's obsessed with him becausehe went to cal and it's annoying fair
enough turned me into a hater.I get it. I'm gonna sick Andre
three thousand on him, but nothaving any skin in the game or no

(39:07):
favorite team that's still in the mix. I do. I do want the
Lions to win because I mean, who doesn't want the downtread and long suffering
franchise to get a w Yeah? That would balance things out with what the
Detroit Pistons are doing right now.Yeah, did you see that in bounce
play? Oh he went, hethrew it in and he stepped back out
from earlier this week? Yeah,I did see that. That was number

(39:28):
one on Shackton A fool. Yeah, he's shocked a fool. Also last
night, Charles Barkley wants to getout of himself and then tried to walk
it back, but he say hewas getting on Kenny Smith for watching the
earlier in the week TNT show thatthey did with that guy Adam who's the

(39:49):
host instead of Ernie Johnson. Don'tthey have? Isn't Kandas Parker there with
uh? Is Dwayne Wade still there? She's by far the best analyst.
She's fantastic. Now is Dwayne Wadestill there? It was Jamal Crawford this
night, right, So basically KennySmith was saying, you know, I'm
watching games, whether him here ornot, and Charles Barkley was like,
you're watching games in your day off. Would be caught dead doing that.

(40:13):
He's like, yeah, I watchedgames on my day off, so when
I'm on I know what's happening onmy days on. And then Chuck was
like, you know, I'm justplaying around and of course you are.
No, you're not. And thisis why many people don't take you seriously,
or the sad part is a lotof people who don't know any better
do take you seriously. That's theworst part when you admittedly don't even do

(40:37):
what your job is to do,which is to watch basketball so you can
have an intelligent opinion when you're actuallyon TV. Last night he was his
big take was like, I thinkMinnesota's big men hurt him. I think
they actually work against them. It'slike because they got got guard out on
the perimeter, which maybe there's somethingto that, but depending on the matchup,
sure, but I don't know,Google, but go bear getting fifteen

(40:58):
boards a night and Karl Anthony townscore in seventeen and ten. It's like
it seems like it's working for them. The top seed in the Western Conference
there, Chuck exactly so the numberone seed. And that's the biggest reason
why it does concern me when hekeeps picking the Clippers, no, the
best team in the West, anddeath Shack meanwhile keeps hating on them.

(41:19):
Well, that's horror awful. Sowish way to the playoffs. Been here
before, Way to the playoffs. It's like, wait to the playoffs for
what? Right? Because they getinjured? Yeah, because Luca beat him?
Oh wait, that didn't happen.Couldn't tell him otherwise though, God
damn. All right, thank youguys for your support. As always,
we appreciate it. Yeah again thatk fig one is where you can find

(41:42):
me on x adam is that followout of a whorre at Fanez Show on
Instagram x and Facebook? Nine seveneight eleven ninety seven is the tapass hotline
number free any words of wisdom orwords of hate against the Clippers or the
Panthers or out kind of for me? No, did you get paid off
by PMS too? Are you gonnatroll me. Yeah, you have any

(42:04):
comments about Mickey Loomis comparing Dennis Allento uh Tom Landry and uh Bill Walsh
the other day. I was disgustingand with his fucking gum and his mouth
just chewing that was really bad.I want to smack him in the back
of the head for that. Whatis that? What does that say about
how seriously he's taking this. Hejust doesn't want to admit that he was
wrong and that hiring decision. Hey, but Pete Carmichael's gone, so you

(42:27):
know, I feel like that wasone good thing. Should it have been
a package deal with both of themgone? Yes, but at least step
in the right direction. Is uhDerek Car still there? Derek Cars sounds
like a based on what Mickey Lewiswas saying. A nice parking spot,
he get a little shade from atree above it. I've decided to transfer

(42:49):
over my focus and just focus onthe Suns. I think where you know,
we're on that trajectory going up.Just like to say, after that
Laker win, I feel good, finally beat the Laker his way to go.
Oh my gosh, Okay, Flipperslost to him twice this Season's right,
but there's a rematch coming. Yeahall right, Thank you Brie.
As always, we appreciate it.Thanks to Noah Eagle, one of the
best. We appreciate him, andwe appreciate you guys for all of your

(43:13):
support. You guys have a greatweekend of enjoy the divisional playoff games,
and we'll talk to you next weekwhen another edition of the F and A
podcast. How do we know thatAdam has a transactional relationship with the Twitter
bodyguard? How do we know thatthe Duke just informed us Awestin's gonna be
