open seating, abandoning and abandoning afeature, of course, that made Southwest
Airlines Southwest Airlines without the heart,Matt. It's just a machine. They
used to board with groups of thirtyABC. You could throw a little bit

of money and get up there towardthe a's. You could be a humble
person and line up with the bees, or you could lament your life and
be with the c's. But nowthey will assign seats and unveil premium seating
options that offer more leg room.They say they expect that about one third

of seats across its fleet will haveextra leg room. They said they're going
to roll out the new seating andboarding options sometime in twenty twenty five.
They do have no immediate plans toimplement bag fees, but you know it's
coming. Yeah, it's coming.And that's what this is all about.
They're losing money. And they saidthat when people say they want to stop

bottle of Maker's Mark. So unlikethe pack two banquet, you will not
have to never get over it,spin your heel and walk out. I
see Gray Goose, I see BacardiRum, I see Malibu Rum. Basically,
what they have done they have mergeda Taco bell with chillers. There

are three wait a minute now thatno, wait a minute, don't tell
twelve slurpies liquor infuse Slurpees twenty fifteen. Ronnie Fossil is just gonna go get
an ice cream headache like no other. So they they not only have your
full Taco bell menu, they notonly have beer on tap but they serve

hard liquor pina coladas, Margarita's,but also their famous Baja blasts, and
all of those things are in slurpyform and you can have them blended with
whichever type of liquor you prefer ourseven am to three am w but they

five. It is. It's funnybecause like the Eater Los Angeles article that
I saw makes it look like it'sreally nice, like oh wow, this

camp yesterday and today and was chattingwith him for a bit and he requested

to sit down with Sean McVay.They've known each other a while McVeigh,
so I decided to listen through itafter I talked to him about it yesterday
and McVeigh clearly likes respects his work. Invited Robert out to his house to
do the interview, and it's great. It's a lot of football junkie kind
of stuff. That's a lot ofthat stuff little Rose. Probably I didn't

hear it. He did not mentionRose on the talk about that's just for
his wife, Veronica. Her namecame up a few times. But he
is also very candid with his lowpoint when he was thinking about walking away,
retiring and heading to the media.It's a great conversation, probably a
little over an hour, you geta little bit of everything. But I
wanted to play this clip for you, Pete, because I know it will

not surprise you at all. Youknow him a lot better than I do.
But I have been lucky enough tobe around coach a few times and
he's just the best, like theabsolute best guy ever. So here's the
setup. McVeigh is talking about howhis mental health struggles ended up becoming public
through his kicking around the idea ofleaving coaching and taking the job with Amazon,

and he said one of the firstcalls he got immediately, someone that
he did not have a relationship upto at that point, was from coach
Pete. Chris Peterson is a guythat reached out to me. He knew
and he had to experienced some thingsthat were similar based on a press conference
that I had had at the endof the season where I said they needed
some time to reflect and kind ofwas honest about some of the struggles that

I had in the insecurities that Ihad to deal with, and he reached
out, and man, what ablessing it's been the relationship we've been able
to form. He reached out,he said, I know what you're feeling,
and then you're talking about somebody that'sgone through it. You know,
there's a lot of things as youknow, you know, as you're navigating
your space, Robert, like peoplethat go through a similar journey, there's
a lot of relatability, and there'san understanding of the way you move and

the rhythm and routine and some ofthe stressors and the things where there's you
know, a loss of perspective.And here's a guy that was an incredible
coach at Boise, incredible coach atWashington, and I really appreciated that,
you know, he had all thissuccess optically, but he you know,
he articulated to me that he wasgoing through some of those things. And
he has been an incredible mentor andincredible friend that we meet, you know,

all the time and have stayed connected. And I can't thank him enough
for helping me. It's pretty greatthat coach Pete would do that, Pe
and I'm sure not a surprise toyou at all that started to just reach
out to the guy in sense thatmaybe he was going through a bit of
a tough time. He mentors alot of coaches, you know, like
a lot of coaches at every level, and kind of helps him make decisions

about what's next, because you know, these guys move around a lot,
they move their families. There's alot of big money involved sometimes. You
know, there's guys that need money, guys that need jobs, guys that
need placing. And it's not abig world. So it doesn't surprise me
at all. Yeah, that's exactlywhat he is. He's a mentor.
I don't know how he has anytime for himself. Yeah, pretty great.

As far as the Rams go onthe field, their win total is
is surprised when I saw it eightand a half. They can go nine
and eight and you'd hit the overand you'd think they can probably go nine
and eight. They got all thoseyoung guys that ended up getting experienced last
year still won. Those guys area year older with a year of experience
under their belt. But of coursethere was a huge loss. No more

Aaron Donald. They closed the seasonseven and one to make the playoffs at
ten and seven, nearly knocked offDetroit in the wild card rounds. So
what gives Obviously, Aaron Donald,Matthew Stafford's a year older. Can he
stay healthy for the entire season?They were two and six against playoff teams
last year, but looking at theirschedule, it does look like nine games

is certainly attainable. He's cited asa top five coach, some people think
he's the best coach in the league. Something certainly to keep an eye on.
But a podcast I would recommend listeningto. It's kind of got a
little bit of everything. And atsecond where I was again today p the
Chargers camp back at the Bolt todayfor that later start certainly helped with the
traffic, no doubt, having tobe there at noon instead of at nine

am. And one thing because Igot there early instead of trying to run
in as training camp was getting startedyesterday because of how bad the traffic was.
Harbaugh superstar. As you know,he's out there, the fans are
freaking out. He's high five andhe's talking to people. He's signing a
ton of autographs, taking a bunchof photos. Probably the name that more
people are calling out than any othersave Justin Herbert, and I don't know,

it might be neck and neck betweenhim and Justin Herbert over who the
most popular Charger is at training campright now. And another thing i'd wreck
amend the Chargers posted a micd upof Jim Harbaugh from his first day yesterday
of training camp. It wasn't fromtoday, This was from yesterday and it's
about twelve minutes. And I thoughtone of the quintessential Jim Harbaugh moments came

in the middle of it when heyou know, it's just like the dog
and up and squirrel and Harbaugh findsa mouthpiece and needs to get to the
bottom of the riddle of whose mouthpieceit is? You remem missing the mouth
guard? Mouth guard? Anybody mouthguard? Got mouth guard? Right? They

go, no, no, no, no. T Shelby right way over
there. Okay. Harbor jogs acrossthe two fields. Kay Shelby, Kay

pros. You know where there's likea big it looks like one of those
things where everybody has like a member. You used to have like drawers for
your action figures, like a holderlike the Darth Vader head would open and
all your Star Wars guys. Yeah, properly placed. They have one of
those big old things for everybody's mouthguardon a football team. And your drawer

This guy's got teeth like a shark. He's got three rows working for
me. You could really check thedental records if you were really into finding
the guy. But I hope thatguy makes the team. Harbaugh made some
nice strides for him. Certainly theUSC football team was out peat They did
not see Lincoln Riley, but i'dsee a number of the kids, I

shouldn't say kids, number the youngmen from us he were out, probably
fifty sixty of them. He mightstill be in Indianapolis, I don't know.
I believe he's doing like a crossfirestyle roundtable with Deshan Foster. I
think that's what's happening right now.But they were out very excited about their
teammate. Former teammate Brennan Rice beingout there. Every time he was running

a rout they got excited and we'recheering for him. Good energy. And
the one thing that I really tookaway, and this is something that you've
known forever, that we've known forever, that anybody that follows Jim Harbaugh is
known forever. Just the superlatives andthe overwhelming positivity about everything is infectious,
appreciated. That's just what he is. Everything is great, everything's amazing.

Quinton Johnston is going to be aproblem. Look at what this guy's doing.
He says that yesterday he had probablytwo or three routes that looked a
lot better than anything we'd seen lastlast year. And then he goes out
there today and sure enough, herehe is in double coverage, high pointing
the ball in the end zone andjumping up to get it. And I
don't think I ever saw him raisetwo hands to catch a ball and jump

ball. Last year he would,for whatever reason, only raise one.
So perhaps the positivity is working forJim Harbaugh and his players, and Ty
Shelby, I hope you're appreciative ofhim jogging across two football fields to give
you your mouthguard, because I wouldguess Tie as a guy that's probably right
on the bubble when it comes tointerior linemen, and I hope he shows

the appropriate bit of thankfulness that hishead coach would do that. The other
thing, P is you well knowJim Harber likes to wear cleats, and
he had some specially designed cleats.I saw in the micd up Chris Smith,
the director of the equipment room,out there asking if coach liked the
color scheme. Did he like theblue on the bottom, Was there anything
that he wanted tweak? Did hewant different cleats for gamers for practice?

Did he like the black? Wasit too hot? Was there anything he
can do? So certainly, ifwe know all about Jim harbaughs Khakis,
it appears as though his cleat's alsovery particular about how he wants those things
put together. When he's out thereon the practice room. You get paid
that much money to coach, youget to be very particular about what you
want. Finally, our third thing, we go down to Raiders Camp.
