Sad about it, Matt your sounds. Dammit, you don't like
this this time slot here, Matt, you don't like this the.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Old two to five thirty three and a half hours
of petro Some Money following two hours of Rogan and Rodney.
They did big work out there at the Dream Center today.
We were out there yesterday for three hours, so great.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
They only did two I wouldn't call it big work.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
They did, uh, moderate work. We did big work.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Light work. Freaking Justin Turner unable to come on with
us on the phone.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Oh, we asked this, and maybe that's why he didn't
want to tell us that he wasn't coming on, because
he didn't want to come on the phone so we
can go on in person. But he wasn't gonna be
on in person until today. And he knew we would
react like this like scorned lovers hell half no fury,
like a radio show, scorn for Justin Turner. He was
with us yesterday he did and what happened? Instead? We

(01:49):
got antonio'll be.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Our Tonio Viragosa, Yes, we got the mayor. We're like, hey,
what do you do?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Like, like, what do you do in that situation when
Clint's talking to him and he's looking at us and
he starts walking up to walk behind, like.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Do you just let him stand there?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It's like, I guess we gotta put a Clints already
standing out the microphone.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
This guy's the best here he is. And then Barry
comes on, as I love that Gillian Sucker man.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
He really got cocked yesterday. I mean, thank God that
Pastor Matthew was fantastic toward the end of the show,
gave us a little bounce on our step after two
and a half hours out in the whipping winds and
having to talk about Gillion and to former Mayor Antonio Biragosa,

(02:38):
take off those glasses. You know what I noticed about him?
By the way, what's that matt.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Incredibly small hands. He did have an actor's hands. Yes,
he in the hands of the thespian. There's no doubt.
He was diminutive, but also very.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Attractive, like very good looking man.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, he could be in a like movies, you know,
like old school movies, like Western movies and things of
that nature. That's that's the vibe by God from the
former Mayor Antonio via.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Ragosa intimidating looks was as an older gentleman, that that older,
handsome vibe. When he took off those sunglasses and just
laid those browns on you, it's.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Like, yeah, it inspired, it inspired you, a man of
Latin flavor to say his name like that.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
You know, I just remember the John and Ken Antonio vlar.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Well because yeah, that was his name. And then he
and then he merged his name with his wife. But
he was getting that good Telemundo side love. It's hard
to deny the bulbousy flesh of Telemundo side love. Gordo,
she was there with the way. Oh she was there

(03:51):
the Telemundo that was.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
That wasn't that was?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
That was Laca she there was a young lady there
that was yeah, had the phone out was when he
was on with you guys.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Oh that that wasn't like pr. That was the Telemundo.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
I don't think that was pr. I'm looking at a
picture right now. It looks like the same lady we
saw yesterday.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Yeah, so he's still there, Like, why does any change
his name to Antonio Villa Ramundo?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Her name is Patricia Govilla?

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Well, yeah, via gooia via go Villa. Like if I
were her, I'd be like, why did you name the wife?
And now you are with me and you will not
change your name again? Why will you not do this? Antonio? Right?
Wouldn't you think that he wouldn't she say that?

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
It looks like is she is she the Telemundo lady though?
Or is this a different one because it says now.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Okay, well Divorceilla.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
According to the Radar online last January they got divorced.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
So that was a new MoU Herald. I don't know, well,
like you're saying that he was good looking.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yes, his previous novia was Merthala Salinez, so we would
have and Antonio bel Salinis. She was the TV news
there was another TV news reporter, las Atonio took it
up with lou Parker.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
V Larker V Larker v Larker. You gotta cut both
in half.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
That's right, you got you gotta merge it.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
How many women are there?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
The guy you saw? You saw the guy?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
You sound good looking?

Speaker 5 (05:27):
He is?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
What do you want him to do?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Those eyes on, those teeth just dry?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Not since sal mineo if we had a mid Wilshire
sex machine like Antonio Via.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Go right, I'm trying to get a look at this. Patricia. Yes,
that's who was there with him yesterday, Patricia Govea.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
So we're talking about a reels and that's just what's documented.
I mean, what a stable, what a stable?

Speaker 2 (05:51):
And she is a real estate agent. It looks like,
oh really that's not her. That is definitely not different. Differently,
click on that one. Yeah, so he would be Antonio
vi Arbea.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
For'd be something. I mean, I didn't know. I thought
that was like a pr chick, But I guess it
wasn't it was. It was his lady of the moment. Moment.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Oh, here we go gets married. I got it now,
the La Daily News gets married again is what he says.
Potential candidate for governor tis the nat Patricia Govea, Central
Mexico one hundred friends and family black tie event, Hotel
San Miguel de Allende, popular tourist destination, historic buildings. Govea

(06:41):
works in the fashion industry. She was born in four
He had a Canadian tuxedo on yesterday.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
That was beautiful. Yes, it was tight jeans too. Oh
come on, you could see that. You'll packing?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Check it out? Then check out what I'm packing. My
little hands up your Look at what I'm packing here?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Did you say my little hands up your butthole? I
thing what I'm packing here? Is that what you just said? Matt,
I may have and the kids are home. I should
be quiet, my little hands up your butthole. I'm thinking
about the snl skit with the yeah sure sure, Kristin,
remember those yeah in the in the the Lawrence Welk Show,

(07:29):
Lawrence Welk. In the Little Hands or the Burger King
commercials where the guy's holding the whopper and it makes
his hands look even smaller, that's what happens. That's what
that chick has to do. She has to feed the
mayor's whopper so his hands don't look so smoot. Perhaps
perhaps my monos look small to you and Porkito, but
my Shouldio, I assure you he's known from Union all

(07:55):
the way into Pico, Piko Pia has nothing on my tree.
He's so schlanko.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
So Antonio Barba, why do you have to run?

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Why do you have you? Why? Why?

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Because that's how we would be introduced. Antonio Bira.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Brigoza mixes out, there's somewhere between my god, it's a
frogman Friday, everybody. You cannot swim for new horizons with
little tiny hands until you have the courage to lose

(08:34):
sight of the shop. Tetrason Money Show Happen to be
with you on AMBI seventy A Sports Your Home. I'm
the Dodgers. We're gonna talk to Chris Taylor in the
very next segment. He's a frogman of swords and he's
got a polar plunge coming up, like he does every
year for charity Frogman, and we also celebrate the greatness

(08:55):
Frogmen of the One and Only. I just got a
text from Alisha of Delbier that said, did you just say, Toriso.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Thick, I'm happy, Of all the things to pull out,
that's the one you decided to go away.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Pull your tiny hands out of your bottle. Lloyd Bridges,
the Great Mike Bell said, see how.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
The covenor San Diego. We were giving the midgets a
real workout. Bill was developing it to sell of the Navy.
He'd done a good job with its silent electric motor.
It could carry two men equipped with diving lungs about
fifteen miles at a fair speed. It still had some flaws.
The doors designed for quick escape and emergencies were sometimes
opened by changes and pressure, and the controls weren't perfect yet.

(09:40):
I enjoyed helping Bill, especially as I could see the
value of the small craft for surprise attacks and secret missions,
not that I intended to go on any I figured
those days were in the past for me. I thought
that we were testing the subsecretly, but I was mistaken.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Oh, sadly Lloyd Bridge's house house that Jeff Bridges and
all them dudes grew up and burned down in the
Palisades fire. But you know whose house remained standing? And
he wrote a heartfelt article about it in the La Times,
And there's videos attached and all that stuff on the
Times website. Our hero, one of the great living writers
in sports of our time, Bill Platt. What are you nuts?

Speaker 6 (10:21):
Were still gotta take that to Florida? You know what
that's like these days? You got the f and Navy everywhere.
You got frogmen, you got e C two's with the
satellite tracking sh you got the effinge bell two to
nine assault.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Choppers, got the ass.

Speaker 6 (10:39):
We're losing one out of every nine loans. That's no
duck walk anymore. Me tell you forget about the money.
What do you suggest that is reasonable?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
What's reasonable? Sea Lab. We got a lot going on

(11:15):
on the show today, Matt. We got a lot of
dishes to wash wash up.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Just Chris Taylor coming up in the very next segment.
We are monitoring the Rokie Sasaki sweep steaks as the Padres, reportedly,
according to someone from Baseball America, are out. They have
focused on other international signings and are beginning to sign
a shortstop and a pitcher from the d R as
they essentially decided no chance for getting Sasaki. They do, however,

(11:42):
say the Blue Jays are back in potentially so the.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
The corporate Canadian connections that are pulling them away is
the word.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
That's what some say. They're going to give him that
big tower in Toronto DVR, all.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
The stuff that Drake had before Kendrick Lamar canceled him.
They're gonna give it to Sasaki. Maybe, but fascinating. We'll
have the Latest, Yeah, the Latest at fourth.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
That'll be at four o'clock, Don McClain at three point thirty,
and Chris Taylor in the very next segment. That is
our interview schedule today. Of course you get top stories,
you get your dead and the Live Guy, Birthday today,
the Number Word song, all of those things as well,
but three interviews today. Don McLain, who celebrated a birthday yesterday.
We'll talk Lakers Clippers, who will be playing one another.
By the way, on Sunday, you'll hear that game right

(12:31):
here on AM five to seventy LA Sports at six
o'clock will be the Tip Clippers Lakers, Chris Taylor will
talk some Dodgers baseball. They were doing great work today
out at Dodger Stadium, very similar to what they were
doing at the Dream Center that we witnessed first hand yesterday.
And we continue to do it here at am five
seven day a sports dot com with the keyword donate.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
But not cool man, God, you just had to come on
a telephone. We're staring at the sign that says that
Justin and Courtney turned. Who cares if you do it twice?

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Right, it's so nice you do it im And it
would have been at five pm versus twelve thirty.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Sheesh, it's wrong. Anyway. I just got a text that
says when I went to Cathedral High School with him,
his name was Tony Vara co fantoms Zoe. I mean,
somebody comes on our show and we're like, oh, we

(13:31):
love your mayor, you're the best, and then the next
day we're like, all Telemundo Theresa pants come on. You know.
I mean, but it was a wonderful day at the
Dream Center yesterday, and he would oh what a what
a what a minch? Yes, you know, we had a
good time. We had a like Clint sprung him on
us away sometimes when yeah, well Clinton, you know, between

(13:53):
that and the Gillian Zucker, my goodness. But either way,
overall it was a wonderful day and then inspirational day,
and it was really something to see the work that
they're doing. And like you said, they're doing that this
morning at Dodger Stadium. It's a one time thing. This
is day nine at the Dream Center, and people are
desperately in need and they're not stopping. The line is

(14:15):
not stopping, and they're doing it day in and day out.
So go to m I seventy la sports dot com
keyword donate if you want to give some money, if
you want to go down there and bring gift cards,
or like Claudio, our listener did, filled up that beautiful
jeep full of stuff and brought it out just inspired
by the show listening to it yesterday. You can do
that too, get on down to the Dream Center. Or

(14:36):
if you need something as a listener, I mean one
of our listeners. I met a guy who listened to
the show and he was in a one year program
at the Dream Center for sobriety, and he said, they
don't let me have a radio. I missed the show.
I said, well, get out of here. You can start
listening to this show again. So it really was an

(14:57):
inspirational day. Kates did go right home from the Dream
Center to the station and podcasted, so all three hours
are up, including or impactful interview with former mayor Antonio
via Rigosa.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
I didn't go right home, guys, because I was stuck
in a little bit of traffic there around Alvarado in Sunset,
I believe, or that kind of area, and that's surprising
to me. Some really cool food spots I'm gonna go
back to. I was telling my wife, there's a pizza
place on one of those streets and the Echo Park, Yeah,
there was.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Echo Park's got all kinds of cool stuff, man. That's
why they had to scoop the poop at the park
because they were like knife fights and like homeless pilates
and all kinds of crazy things going on.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
This was on the wrest side of the park over
kind of on the front side of Dream Center on
Alvarado Waterloo kind of that area over there.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Kate saw pizza place and got really excited. I didn't understandable,
what what what was it about? The what that they made?

Speaker 4 (15:55):
It's called Pitfire Pizza in Echo Park, converted theater, the
Marquee out there like a movie market.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you're talking about. The
cool spot made Kates want to go and buy a
bottle of a weed punch, you know, down the street
at one of the dispensaries.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
It is dry January, you know, but I can still
drink my weed punch.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
That makes you damp gen. So it was a fabulous show,
and we appreciate everybody for listening, podcasting and all that,
and great work being done with iHeart Radio and iHeartMedia
and the Dream Center, and that is a relationship forged,
well originally forged because David Vasse got really close with

(16:35):
Justin Turner, which added Dave Weese, our promotions guy to
the world. Clint and the Dream Center came along. And
now it's amazing that just through the AM Sports station,
the Dream Center and the global network of iHeartMedia are
connected here in Los Angeles. So that's really something. Does

(16:59):
it quelled bitterness that Matt and I have that Justin
Turner didn't join us yesterday but Jeine, Fred and Rodney
instead today? No, No, it does not.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
No, I'm still very upsetive not okay, especially since we're
the ones picking up their final hour. Don't mind picking
up your final hour, but picking up your final hour.
And Justin Turner shows up at the Dream Center and
goes on Live with you guys, and you keep him
for twenty five minutes. You gotta pick up the final
hour when he was scheduled to join us at five
pm straight out the Gate primetime radio drive time. You
kidding me now here? I am talking about tiny hands

(17:32):
and big Chariso.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
I would say, we do mind picking up that hour
either way, But yeah, tiny hands and cheriso pants. That's
where we're at right now. Speaking of that, Matt, the
plot thickens on the international man of mystery known as
Tony Vara. Tony v This is from a source at
Cathedral High. It says he got booted from cat High
for starting to fight after a football game. That's kind

(17:57):
of cool, and that was Little hands are in the
private sector.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
What do you think he do? You think he was
like a third down back or slot receiver. I think
he was just probably there. Oh he's just a dude.
Oh I got it. He started making to fight.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Third down backs. Third down back's going to catch a
ball out of the backfield slot receivers got to catch
a ball as well. Stair point right. What are we doing?

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Matt catching up on the album you know fight after
a football game. I'm thinking like you know, handshake line
and here he comes like with his helmet, pop cheap
shot and now you got to get out of here.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
It's not like he's Jim Abbott out there catching the ball.
Mab No, his hands are not that sure.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
You got some old listeners. The mayor's seventy one years old.
He wasn't a cathedral like twenty years ago, like forty.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
We have old listeners, Kates kidding me. We got old,
we got blind.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
We've been on for twenty years. Jeez, that guy was
fifty when he started listening. What's your problem, Kates? But
we got dead listeners, dead ones, we say, Chargers out
there to Okay, we'll be right back with one great

(19:08):
sports dock right here on amby seventy LA Sports. You're
home of the Dodgers. Chris Taylor joining us next.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Petro saying money. AM five seventy LA Sports live everywhere
on the iHeartRadio app. Remember tonight we are going to
UCLA basketball out of Paul Pavilion. They are hosting Big
Ten rival Iowa and they will tip it off at
six with a pregame at five thirty. Play by play
all weekend as well. We have got both Divisional round
games tomorrow starting at one pm. It'll be Texans in

(19:40):
Kansas City taken on the Chiefs, followed by the Commanders
taking on Alliance in Detroit. And then Sunday we will
have that Clipper Laker showdown a six pm tip right
here on your home of play by play, bing bang boom.
Three days in a row, AM five seventy LA Sports.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Dodgers haven't got started yet, but it's been a heck
of an off season. Joining us right now. One of
our friends, Chris Taylor, just talking about his alma Manter
yesterday with Danielle Collins, the tennis player. Let's go who's
two time World Series champion. Coming up Sunday, February second

(20:16):
is the second annual CT three Foundation Polar Plunge at
the Manhattan Beach Pier, where you could see the muscles
and the swolness of some of these people involved with
the Dodgers that you just wouldn't expect. Fans are invited
to come out and participate. Everybody can jump into the
sea with Chris Taylor. Tickets are available at CT three

(20:38):
Foundation dot org. It is Chris Taylor back on the
Petrosen Money Show on your Southern California Toyota Dealer Celebrity Hotline.
What's cracking? Chris? How are you?

Speaker 7 (20:48):
What's up? Guys? Thanks for having me.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Yeah, it's great to have you. First and foremost, how
are you doing. How's the off season? Ben? It's been
a wild week in LA. We know about that, but uh,
it's great to hear your voice.

Speaker 7 (21:04):
Yeah, you know, it's been a great off season, mainly
just you know, trying to balance being a dad and
then getting ready for the season and then obviously some
of dealing with some of the excitement and things after
the World Series. So it's been very busy, a lot
of traveling for us, but enjoying it. It's going by quick, though.

(21:28):
It feels like spring trainings right around the corner.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
It's because it is.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Spring training is right around the corner, because you've got
to take off for you were out at Dodger Stadium today, Chris,
and and certainly it's it's great to see the entire
city rally and try to help those in need, but
also a lot of our athletes and a lot of
our professional organizations leading the charge on that front. Kind
of what's that been like? And and you know, I

(21:55):
guess if the responsibility maybe that that you feel, if
you do feel one to to kind of get out
there and let the city know that maybe the faces
they do recognize are part of pitching in and doing
whatever they can to help out.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (22:07):
No, it was a really cool event. Obviously, like so
many people are trying to rally around our our city
and you know, support those that lost their homes and
lost so much.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
There was a.

Speaker 7 (22:22):
Ton of tents and different companies providing clothes and all
kinds of things to these families, and it was good
to uh, to be out there in person, you know,
being able to interact with them and the kids. I
feel like as a Dodgers player, that's like the biggest
thing we can do is really just you know, try

(22:43):
to be there and interact with the kids, sign autographs,
take pictures. You know, I think that goes a long
way with them. And yeah, it was great. I enjoyed
being there. It's obviously devastating what's happened to our city.
So being able to help out any way we can
is important.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Chris, you mentioned, you know, just the kids and being
a Dodger and you know what the team means to
the city. Give us an idea of what it was
like walking around, you know. Twenty twenty was one thing.
It was great obviously win the World Series, but a
little bit different here. You get the parade, you knock
off the Yankees, fans get to go. There's fifty five
thousand at Dodger Stadium every playoff game. You're a huge

(23:22):
part of that series against the Mets, especially that close
out game that you knock them off in six to
take on the Yankees in the World Series. Was it different?
I mean you seem like someone who gets out a
little bit. Was it different? Just kind of the feeling
around town after that one compared to you know, like
what this team had a little bit earlier, and to
be able to deliver a championship to this city.

Speaker 7 (23:43):
It was different. Twenty twenty. Obviously, that whole season was weird.
Being in the bubble and then not having fans winning
the World Series, not being able to celebrate that was
it was strange, and I think seeing the pact we
had on the city this year where we're not blocked

(24:03):
off from all of that, and the parade and seeing
I don't even know how many people were out there,
but it was insane. It kind of opens your eyes
to how much support we have and how many people.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Watch us.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
You know, we obviously see the fans in the stadium,
which is like fifty thousand or whatever, but there's so
much more support from fans in LA and everywhere that
don't go to the games, and sometimes you know, of
course we're aware of that, but to see it in
person is a whole different ballgame, and it was eye opening.

(24:45):
It was really cool to see. We obviously like kind
of craved that celebration ever since twenty twenty, especially the
guys that were on that team. You know, that was
a huge motivation for us to win another one because
we didn't get to do the parade, we didn't get
to celebrate, so finally being able to do that, it
almost felt for me like we were celebrating two World

(25:06):
Series and yeah, it was just a lot of fun.
That was a special group. Both those World Series teams
are special groups, so this year obviously unique and special
in our own way. I felt like we played with
a chip on our shoulder in the postseason and that
was the difference for us, like kind of that tech

(25:27):
factor that at every championship team needs.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
And yeah, it was.

Speaker 7 (25:32):
It was fun. We had a great time.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
The great Chris Taylor from the Old Dominion joining us
right now on the Petros and Money Show. He's got
his plunge coming up before we get into that, because
it is exciting to see you dive into the ce Chris,
with all your people and what it's for. But the
off season is tough to beat when it comes with
the Dodgers, especially the last couple of years for the fans.

(25:56):
I mean, well, Tani, that's a huge thing. This year's
snell and and everything happening. How much attention, like you
say you're figuring out how to be a dad, how
to get ready for the season. How much attention do
you normally pay to all the moves made in the
off season with the Dodgers.

Speaker 7 (26:12):
I mean, I definitely pay attention. I'm not ahead of
it like some people might think. I feel like a
lot of times people will ask me what we're gonna do,
and like what's happening, And I'm usually the last to
find out. Uh So I always tell them like I
find out when you find out, I have no idea,

(26:34):
but of course you know, I'm I'm a fan of
us improving our team and trying to win another World Series.
So I get very excited, Like when we re sign
some of our guys, you know, ta Oscar and and
Barns and all these guys, and then we bring in
Snell and you know we're going after Sasaki and all

(26:56):
this these moves. You know, all of that is great,
and it's great to be part of an organization that
wants to win year in and year out. I know
not every organization is that way, and we're blessed to
be part of this group that our goal every year
still win the World Series no matter what. And yeah,

(27:18):
that's why I guys love playing for this organization.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
For the people listening, Chris as Chris Taylor joins us
right now, was out at Dodger Stadium. They had a
huge event out there to help families in need get
them the things that they need, as many of them
are homeless or maybe out of a job now business
burned down, all that sort of thing, rallying all these
teams in town, rallying to try to help out the
city as they recover from the devastating wildfires. I think

(27:44):
for the people listening Chris when you say, you know
kind of when ta Oscar is resigned, when they signed
Blake Snell, Like, how do you find out about it?
Is there a current player text thread? Is it just
scrolling through Twitter and Instagram?

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Like?

Speaker 2 (27:57):
How does Chris Taylor find out that Taoscar's coming back
back and that Blake Snell has signed as a free agent.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
For both?

Speaker 7 (28:04):
I guess with Snell, I've found out on Instagram like
most people might find out with Kaoko. Actually, I think
Tayo posted it on his Instagram story that he was
coming back, and Maggie Rowe was the first to see it,

(28:24):
and he snapped snapshot of it or screenshot of it
and then sent it to our group, like our Dodger group.
So that was when the first I found out about it.
That's probably the fastest I found out about anything, because
Maggie kind of sent it to all of us. And yeah,

(28:47):
obviously once he posted out on his story, it kind
of blew up on Instagram. So maybe found out minutes
before everybody else, But.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
You got your foundation you got the plunge coming up.
Everybody always excited for it. It's a second year and
the buzz is palpable. February second at at Manhattan Beach
by the Aquarium. There the peer, Uh, tell us about
the second go round to this, Chris, and and is
there anybody that we can really look forward to seeing
in a bathing suit like vess A.

Speaker 7 (29:22):
I don't know. That would be great. I would love
it if it would join. I think maybe we should
put some pressure on him. Can we start that? Can
you guys push for that? Let's get vass out therespito.
I think everybody everybody would love to see Vassa out
there in hospuito. Maybe do a live interview as he

(29:44):
comes out of the water. I'm all for that, But yet, no,
last year, you know, my team showed out, My teammates
showed out, they were almost all of them are there supporting.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (29:57):
We're fortunate to have the event the same weekend as
our dog refeests, so almost everybody's in town for that.
And yeah, I can't stay specifically like exactly who's gonna
be there. I kind of just invite the team and
then I sort of find out who's coming that weekend.

(30:20):
But I'm expecting most of the guys to show up
like last year, just because I have great teammates that
support each other, and yeah, it should be fun. Like
for those who don't know, we basically have an event
on the beach and we all go into the ocean,

(30:40):
we do the polar Plunge. We're raising money for the
Friendship Foundation, which helps kids with special needs, and then
we're also we added another beneficiary, the LA Fire Department
Foundation with the recent fires. So it's gonna be it's
gonna be fun. We have a the IP event after

(31:01):
where Brett Young is going to perform at the Shade
Hotel nearby. Yeah, so it's a good time. Last year
is a great turnout. I'm expecting even better this year.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Tickets are available at C T three, the letter C,
the letter T, the Number three Foundation dot org. It
is Sunday, February second, the second annual CT three Foundation
Polar Plunge. We know you surf, Chris. I don't know
if you've been surfing lately, but it has been an
incredibly unseasonably cold winter. Any any concern about the ocean

(31:33):
being somewhere in the low fifties to mid fifties, as
it has been the last couple of weeks for your
polar plunge.

Speaker 7 (31:39):
The colder the better, it's the polar plunge, right, and
we're in La So to me, I mean, they do
these on the East coast where I'm from, in Virginia
Beach and the water temperatures in the forties, and people
get all jacked up for it, you know, they're so
to me, the colder the better. Last year, I think
the water sample was like fifty eight fifty nine. It

(32:02):
was not that bad. I think once your adrenalinees go in.
You know, we had guys out there for like twenty
thirty minutes, just like she's taken out in the waves.
So and then there's gonna be We're gonna have towels
on the beach for you when you come out of
the water, beanies, coffee, We'll have all kinds of food.

(32:23):
It's we'll make sure you're taken care of.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
And hypothermia treatment for David Vase Chris Taylor. Sunday, February
second second annual CT three Foundation Polar Plunge at the
Manhattan Beach Peer Tickets available at CT three Foundation dot org,
Jo go jump into the sea with CT three. Thank
you Chris, congratulations on everything. We hope you're enjoying the

(32:49):
off season. And we'll see out there in Manhattan Beach
in February.

Speaker 7 (32:54):
All right, so good, thank you guys, and.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
We'll be right back with more Petro Send Money Secret
tex s also Rodeo round up reaction on this frog
Man Friday. We got a lot of shows, still a
cup like three hours left, stay with.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Its big thank you to Chris Taylor, always great and
the petros in Money show came out to a summer
tour stop at El Segundo. Appreciate the CT three Foundation
regularly promote the event. It went from a golf tournament
to a poker tournament to now a polar plunge out

(33:30):
there at the Manhattan Beach Pier.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Again.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
If you want information, how you can buy tickets, how
you can be part of the celebration, it is CT three.
Just the letter see the letter T and then the
number three Foundation dot org.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Yeah, all his teammates will be out there. And a
couple of years back they had the one at the
top golf right, Matt, right, we promote that and movie
didn't show up and invastiators like where was Mooky?

Speaker 2 (33:55):
He was bowling in Indianapolis and Rob Stone refused to
talk to us about it.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
That was That was a point. It's a very unfortunate
thing that happened, but it did happen, and it cannot
be ignored. There's no doubt about that. It can.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Never forget Stone, never forget.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
You know. Speaking of forgetting Stone, we were talking about
all the Dodger pitchers in your want versus Need Diet
tried the other day, Matt and the rookie Sasaki sweepstakes
and we're still on Sasaki watch and all that. We
forgot to mention the Stone Bone, Gavin Stone. Oh yeah, yeah,
there's another guy, you know, one of our favorites. I mean,

(34:33):
the Dodgers have such a plethora of arms and they're
injured arsenal that we we we forgot to mention the
stone Bone.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
One of our favorite Arkansas right. I believe it is
the stone Bone.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
And a big fan of David Vassays.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Yes, so, uh, Dave always believed in me. Dave always
believed in me.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
That's what we said. He said, Vassa believed in me
when no one else did. We were going to talk
to Dave at some point day because we are still
on Sasaki Watch. Yeah, everything is I routinely, and I'm
sure Kates is doing the same thing. Kate, are you
doing the same thing?

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Refresh on the news?

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Are you refreshing the news just to every minute? Don't
miss it.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
The last thing we want is for Alana Rizzo to
scoop us on the Sasaki news for people who follow
her on her social media channels. The most recent bit
of news comes from the New York Post that says
Blue Jay's trade hints at Final Push and Rokie Sasaki sweepstakes.
They have acquired an extra two million dollars they can
give him per year based on I guess some trade

(35:38):
they just made with the Guardians of Cleveland. If you
forgot that their mascot is now a bridge called the
Guardian Bridge.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Well not for long. They're not going to be alone
in that beautiful bridge. Mascot love what do you means
the Tower Bridge for the a's's word on the street mat,
We're going to talk about it. That's big news for you. You
love coming tower Bridge?

Speaker 3 (35:58):
Which baseball guy gets it first? Who gets to scoopage?
Is it a Rosenthal passing.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (36:06):
I was trying, Yeah, exactly right, Matt. I was trying
to take a nap and I got a I got
a text from David Vasse earlier and it said, oh
kid no, And I wrote back a little Canadian flag
and then he wrote back, wait scratch that. Oh come on,
So I mean it's really I mean, it feels like

(36:27):
it's really teetering on the point on the on the
it could go either way. Well, I'm at the edge.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Do you think these baseball guys want to get it
wrong like they didn't your No, certain they don't want
to get it wrong.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
But put something out there. It looked like a fool,
like a But who did that?

Speaker 1 (36:41):
Anybody do that? Anybody? We know? Anything?

Speaker 4 (36:43):
We talked about last last year, there was that Friday
that for eight hours we were, you know, speculating, we
were watching that plane that had Robert Hirskovich on it
from a shark tank. All that was happening, and people
were speculating. People were tweeting that you're pulling off that
guy's name Herskovich.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Yeah, you like that, Yeah, I know that, dude, Damon
and Cuban and Kevin Herskevich Damn, that's impressive.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
He was on the plane with his two kids and
he got off and all those photogs were there at
the airport in Toronto.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
He's like, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Had my pol out of your boy JP from sports Net?

Speaker 1 (37:15):
Hey man's jad peg. I said, out tis up.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Story where I'm getting at? You think these baseball insigners
a little uh yeah, gunshy, I should.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
Say, uh huh. I don't want to put something out
there that maybe makes you look foolish. At the end.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Well, our guy down in San Diego was willing to
stick his his crash out and say, hey, look at this.
He ain't coming to the Padres. So you got that
guy out there saying the Padres are going to sign
a couple Dominican guys.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
I don't know if that guy's out there, but his
cross certainly is. That's right. Look at this. Padres aren't
gonna get Sazaki. Get a load of this guys.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
He's ready here. Guess what I'm about to tell you. You're
looking you see it. They ain't getting Sasaki, but will
ask you whether or not. I mean that would be
Look the Blue Jays if it happens again, where everybody
gets all excited in Toronto about a Japanese superstar. And

(38:17):
again it's the Dodgers that are like, you know, he
wasn't on a plane. He's just sitting here at uh
at Nobu. We're about to we're about to eat. No
one's about to sign.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
No one will take Canada's money, well stupid looking money, exactly.
I have.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
You know, I did a whole thing about Otani and
that Friday from a year ago that I submitted for
a Golden mic.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Oh you did? Was it accepted? Uh?

Speaker 4 (38:40):
It was nominated. They haven't announced anything as far as
all coming down to buy. We'll see if I win
or not.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
You know, well, yeah, you know I just got a
text speaking of that. Let's get to some Textoso's kates,
if we could, please, jeez, And this one brought to
you by your so called Toyota dealers. We make it easy.
This is from Isabelle, one of our great listeners and
it's and contributors, and it says, it feels like last year.
I got a feeling it's gonna happen tomorrow. I had

(39:07):
a feeling about that all week. Guys. Oh interesting, Uh,
this says way to go pee. Talk about a real
puzzo slapped to the face Rogan and sometimes Rodney got
JT in person, and you guys get emotionless. Two hundred
strikeouts a year. CT three money should have brought up

(39:29):
his take about not bringing back Seeger because the money
we wasted on this bar. Oh, it's unfortunate. Well, Matt,
you know we have had some pretty hot Chris Taylor
takes over the year. Yeah, yeah, just like we have
about Antonio villar and and then Cherisa Pants is sitting

(39:49):
in front of us and we're like, mister man, hey, man,
you're such a good looking dude. Look how good looking
you are. Look at that man, good looking, good looking
good And then the next day it's like, man, look
at your hands, look at hands.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
It was a slow walk up those steps. And I
know you guys are liking me, Like, what is happening
right now?

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Well, I know what he is. He's a moth to
a flame, right Those local politicians they see a microphone,
they see a camera, and they move toward it. It's
in their nature, it's who they are. It's like they're
moths like Kurt Shilling. All right, Uh this says I
just heard a coworker say what's up on the phone?
And I almost said, my Poots, I am a fifty

(40:32):
year old woman, great sports talk forever.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Story got even better, God bless you.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
What's up my Poots? Who said that nobody the stone
bone was most that was the most consistent and healthiest
the whole regular season until he wasn't. That's good insights, sir,
that is yes, that is great insight. As a matter
of fact, dude, what's up Kates? He's interrupted Petros calling

(41:03):
us listeners old be on Kate's watch for a smack
to the back of the head. Plus he didn't get
justin Turner, I don't know, man, Wow, not not a
vote of confidence from the text? Does so for the
great Tim Kates, one of the great executive producers of
all time.

Speaker 3 (41:20):
Smacked to the back of the head?

Speaker 1 (41:22):
And well, how much does it feel like that when
when Turner doesn't come on? It does?

Speaker 3 (41:28):
You know?

Speaker 4 (41:28):
I mean I thought we were gonna have yesterday and
it didn't pan out. Next thing, you know, he's showing
up in person. You know, it hurts a little bit,
it does, It stings, It.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Does Remember that remember that was he an Australian or
an English politician that that kid threw the agg at
and then the Australian Australia, that's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
On his head and the guy just turned around, slapped
the hell on him, slapped him hard and then overhand right.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
That's this guy in the case, right, like a seventy
year old is just gonna come and then whip Haim.

Speaker 1 (41:59):
Calling him the guy that Kate's called old, texted back
he said, I'm not old. I'm sixty two.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
Elvira Goes is seventy one, So how are you high school?

Speaker 1 (42:08):
At the same time, pal, maybe it was like me
he was a water boy. Oh young, geez Pale. Now
you're like softy. Uh well, Kate's one thing we did
have yesterday on the show that Rogan and Rodney did
not have today was a crazy biker boys dirt bike
gang car chase that sort of just faded into the night.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
With Yeah, we never saw how that concluded.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
Dozens of riders that joined the two perpetrators that started that.
We're moving around the one oh five or the seven
to ten when we picked up the chase, this text says,
do you guys know what resulted in that motorcycle chase? Yesterday.
That have set Tim Kates so much. That was crazy
Kate's do you know what happened?

Speaker 4 (42:52):
I don't think they got arrested. I think they're still
out there. I think they went into downtown LA. From
when I heard I was listening to KFI after the
Sho Show last night, Tim Conway Junior ding Gong dig
The last I heard him say was that they went
into downtown LA and they just sort of dispersed, they
lost them all.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
Is that right? That's terrible case.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
I mean one of the suspects report he tried to
ram a motor officer with his bike. That's kind of
got this whole thing started. Yes, Oh is that right?

Speaker 5 (43:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (43:21):
The riders, we dad, we see him trap and get gassed.
We let him stop and gas up, and no one
did anything about him.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
CHP units ended their part of the pursuit when riders
began traveling into oncoming traffic on the seven to ten Freeway,
even though media airships and the CHP airship continued to
monitor them.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
Here it says I have it from Fox News quote.
The chase lasted approximately a half hour before officials called
it off.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
I mean, I thought we had a new tough on
crime da.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
I don't know when you got to do it on
a dirt bike doing a weeli with one knee.

Speaker 1 (43:59):
I guess you're right. This text says, remember the time
Kate's booked Al Stewart me, neither.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
Must be an old listener, a nice al Stewart reference.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
Come on, al Stewart's poetry and pros and music transcends generations,
You bastard, you bested Turner doesn't visit the kids table.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
Anymore, apparently not. And if we're at the kids table,
I got no idea what table wrote in it?

Speaker 1 (44:35):
Rod near eating that. That's the adults man. Decency is back, really, Al.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
Stewart coming to La at the end of February.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
He lives in La to play.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
That's why he always plays here, Octor, he just plays
in La ox Nart.

Speaker 4 (44:55):
On the twenty sixth of February, he's playing Nardcore, and
then he's playing the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills on
the twenty seventh of February.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Miss Terry's gonna be playing piano with him.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
I'd love that. This says, I'm fifty, but I'm not
a chicken effort.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
I don't know sir, I'm fifty one and I am
a chicken. Effort had nothing to do with it.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
You've made a living f and chicken. That's right. We'll
be right back with your word number song of the day,
Petra said. Maddy continues on a FI seventy LA Sports
Don McClain will join us next hour.
