Morongo Casino Resorting spat less than ninety minutes down to

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Did you know the earliest Sony Walkman's were made to
be listened to by couples. They had two jacks that
said guys and dolls and had two jacks for microphones
where you could hit a button and sing along with
the music you were sharing with each other.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
One was the male component, right, and one was the
female component. That's right, yeah in the water.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
The original intent of the Walkman was intimate listening with
your favorite romantic partner.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Romance and yet to turn into what we have today,
people ignoring each other and not interact that's exactly right.
All right, it's time for the word of the day.
How he's worried. The word of the day. Today's word
is kviva happon long lived Japan. When I say Kviva,
you say Hapon. Kvivava. Pearl Harbor was so long ago

(05:19):
in Japan. There are twelve sewer caps now around town.
When Matt and I first started the show, sewer caps
were what we used to refer to nipples. David Vasse's
nipples player. He's got gigantic nipples the size of sewer caps,
like you ordered a Pepperoni pizza right there on his chest,

(05:39):
right there. Anyway, davell join us next. There are twelve
with his nipples, Twelve very special sewer caps being debuted
in Japan as anime guys sewer cap anime cartoons celebrating
MLB players who are also Japanese, and it's coming throughout.

(06:02):
If you were in Japan this month, you will have
a series of sewer caps to look at all around
the country. Who's in an honor. It's the stupidest idea
I've ever heard, but here we go. Sho Hao Tani's
sewer cap debuts on Monday. They go throughout the month.
Roki Sasaki another great Dodger. I believe he's on the IL.

(06:25):
Don't remember him. He's there. We threw a big party
when he signed. Oh yeah, we did. Kavi Mahapong, Yoshi Amamoto.
They have a sewer cap for him all over the country.
Yuki Matsui, the Padre. You say, Kukuchi from the Angels,
You say Kikuchi. You made that up. It's a guy,

(06:46):
you made that up. You're testing us. I watch him
play the other day, and how about this The Ultimate
And there's a local connection here. Warrior The Ultimate Japanese
anime baseball star Lars Newtbar, Yes, Lars Mutbar, usc Trojan

(07:10):
baseball player, born and raised in El Segundo. Lars Nutbar
born and raised in El Segundo, California. He is an
El Segundo High School Eagle. What's he doing running around
Japan acting like he's a hapone. Well, his mother, Kumiko

(07:31):
and Okaida is Japanese. There we go, so that makes
him eligible as a Japanese guy. He plays on the
Japanese WBC team, but he's from El Segundo. Lars Newtbar
is going to have a manhole cover dam Japan, along
with Shoe Altani, Kikuchi and Matsui and Yamamotoma and Yoki

(07:59):
and ro Rokie Sosaki. So good luck. If anybody goes
to Japan or is listening on the stream or whatever,
I want to see one of them sewer taps and
then we'll have them photoshopped onto David Bess bears exactly right,
and we'll have a little fun with them. It's exactly right.
All right, It's time for the Number of the day.
Remember number of The.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Number of the day is one thousand, one thousand. How
many y'all know what Deloit is? You remember Deloitte and Touche.
The smart dude that took econ in college got a
gig being.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
A consultant for Deloitte and Touche. This this guy knows everything.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
But he's the only guy that's right, making six figures
coming out of college that Meanwhile, we're struggling at enterprise. Rentakar,
the Cuban hat guy knows too, wearing Hollywood suit outlets,
suits and pockets squares while we're getting paid twenty seven.
Grand Man just fell off stage like Steven Tyler, like
like Madonna got blown off stage.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Priesty.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
The folks over at Deloite have decided that their employees, Look,
you're traveling. Sometimes, you're setting up shop as a consultant
in another town for months at a time, leaving your
loved ones behind.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
It's not the easiest gig, I get it.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
But they have decided that they're gonna give their employees
a grand a year. Now you have to submit expenses Deloitte, Deloitte,
this is a company company consultant for mental wellness. Mental wellness.
So you can expense your yoga, you can expense your
SPA treatments. And this year, what if I go to

(09:34):
the Orchids of Asia. Hey, it's just spa as far
as I'm concerned, exactly right. This year they added you
can buy a thousand dollars of Legos. Yeah, one thousand
dollars of Legos. Expense to Deloitte for your mental well being.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Legos with therapeutic We are regressing as a society. We know.
I was watching a live the other day of the protest,
you know, like these guys that run around and the
cops surrounded him and it's like okay, like yeah, you know,
good protest it's surrounded by the cops. You kind of
you know, that's kind of what you're looking to have happened.
And one of the guys like, I'm having a panic attack.
I'm freaking out. I need a panic I can't feel

(10:16):
my head and they threw lego. Cops are like, yeah, man,
I don't know. You're standing in the middle of Wiltshire
and Western hered I can't feel my hands. I'm having
a Panica's like, what happened to us? We got so soft?
You heard James Worthy talking about Eastern airlines, eating hot
dogs and drinking beer and carrying Kevin McHale up and
down the court like a man.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Coin operating television, God, we suck smoking in the fourth row,
thousand dollars for legos.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Kareem trying to watch Jack Hannah in the morning, put
coins and all right, amazing Drunker Matt gets better, he
doesn't casting It's time for Rodney with a song of Hey,

(11:01):
this is a song of the day.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Gone Fishing is our song of the day from an
artist called Benny Boatman, with a tune that fits well
for a frogman. Fridays Royalty, The Petros and Money Show
has gone deep Sea fishing with a live remote broadcast
from the Rock and Bruise and the city of El
Segundo side of Stop number one on the twelfth annual

our promotions man, will be right back with Mark Petrosen Money.
David Vassa will join us from Dodger Stadium and we'll
get the latest and don't forget Marongo Casino Dodgers on
deck from right here on the desk, and Tim Kates
will have prizes to give away.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
We've made it even easier to take LA Sports with

Speaker 2 (13:24):
El Segundo Rock and Bruise. We love Rock and Bruce.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
We love El Segundo and we have got about twenty
minutes Leve Pee.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Twenty minutes to talk to David Vase with an inside
look at the Dodgers. This is the Vass Report with
David Vasse on.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
And only David Vasse, our Dodger reporter. I can see
it in all your eyes. You love David Vasse. You
need David Masse, his information, Yes, his paramount to our
existence here in Los Angeles with the Dodgers. Nobody does
a better job Spectrum Sports at LA MLB Network and
here on your home of the Dodgers, AM five to

(14:07):
seven are going to be a hell of a series
this week with the Giants. Dave is out there live
right now, brought to you by Service Tight. What's cracking, Dave?
How are you?

Speaker 5 (14:16):
I'm doing great. I'll late arriving crowd here at Dodgers Stadium,
but everybody very excited. I'm actually behind home plate on
the loage level getting as much of a flavor for
the Dodgers and Giants fan rivalry. And I see a
lot of Dodgers year and I see some Giants gear
sprinkled in. But everybody's really excited for the first meeting

(14:39):
of the season between these two teams.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Kelly pulled the mic up in front of them. What
do you want to ask? Dave? Hey, Dave, what's up?
Bre's what I'm talking about. It's Callie, Dave. No, it's Callie.
You know her, the one you got the help you.
It seems like they he said, huh okay, I know Dan,
not Dad. This is going swimmingly. It's a rehab day

(15:07):
out of Dodger Stadium, Dave, and I'm not talking about methadone.
There's a lot of pictures out there, glass Now trying
and Snell. Where are these guys at?

Speaker 5 (15:16):
Yeah, it felt like we were at camel Back Ranch.
When I got to Dodger Stadium. Tyler Glassnow was warming
up in the bullpen to faith hitters. He simulated in
single inning, which is significant considering he has and done
that since he went on the injured list, and I
don't expect him back before the All Star break. He's
probably four weeks away, but certainly is feeling good and

(15:39):
feels good about what he did today. Blake Snell told
me he threw twenty pitches in the bullpen. He hit
ninety four miles an hour with his fastball, so he's
feeling good and encouraged as well. And Blake Trenton was
really letting it fly today in full batting practice uniform,
and he said that he's pain free and he's pros

(16:00):
still in spring training mode, he's said, even though he
was going at Max Zefferts.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
What about Logan web Dave, what do we take away
from his season thus far? Dominated the Dodgers in that
playoff series back in twenty twenty one that they ultimately won,
But regular season, he's just kind of been okay against him, Right?
Is this someone that gives them problems or what do
you expect to see tonight?

Speaker 5 (16:21):
Yeah, And he's human here at Dodger Stadium, And that's
kind of the trend with a lot of Giants pitchers
over the last ten years. They're at sption in their
home ballpark, which is Taylor made for pitching and defense,
but once they leave that ballpark, they become a mere mortal.
But tonight's a great pitching matchup Yamamoto against Logan Webb,

(16:43):
and the Giants are without Matt Chapman, who's out at
least a month with a hand injury. They're without Patrick Bailey,
So I think we're all curious to see how the
Giants stack up against the best team in the National
League West.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
What do you think the kind of deal is with
Hi Song, with Haysong Kim and just the platoon and
when they play him and when they're playing Mickey Ross.
Do you think he's starting to earn more and more
time as maybe a regular considering how much better he's
been hitting against Lefti's Dave.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
I feel like the Dodgers are matching him up against
pictures they believe he can handle them. What we've seen
so far from Kim is that it's been spotty when
he faces pictures that throw high octane philosophies, and he's
done better with it since eliminating the lague taking spring training,
But it kind of feels like he's the type of

(17:37):
player that you don't want to put out there every
day at this stage of his career, or he possibly
could get over exposed. So the Dodgers are doing a
great job of matching him up against the pitchers that
his back speed matches up well against.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Yeah, Dave, how are the Giants really? Diskly?

Speaker 5 (18:02):
What's that? Kelly?

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Now?

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Dave?

Speaker 2 (18:06):
How are the Giants?

Speaker 5 (18:10):
I don't know how they're this good. We're gonna find out.
I want to know how they are this good? They
pitch their staffy Alray is a top two, Their starters
eras tops with the Mets. They're bullend. Elray is tops
in baseball as well. So what that tells me is
the Dodgers don't want to be down late in the game,

(18:32):
even though their offense has more comeback wins than any
other team in baseball. So they pitch and they catch
the ball. The Dodgers cannot give them extrauts.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
How long is Casparius going to be a starter for Dave?

Speaker 5 (18:47):
I believe until the All Star Break? Petros. They haven't
given Casparrius any timetable. All he knows is is that
he's a starting pitcher the next turn around in the rotation,
with last name and Snell likely not coming back until
the All Star break. But Emmi Shean's still not stretched out,
and if he does get stretched out, maybe a sixth starter.

(19:09):
Feels like Casterius is in this role until the All
Star Break at least.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
All right, Dave, what's the you said it's a late
arriving crowd. Do we expect it to be sold out
all week? And I know you got bucket hat day
even though it's not a bucket hat. It's more of
a sun hat with a chin strap than a bucket.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
I'd just like to point that out.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
But are we expecting a standard Dodger Giant Rivalry series
crowd this weekend?

Speaker 5 (19:34):
Without a doubt, A lot of demand for this series,
a lot of demand for the podres series. So get
your ticket snow or beg petros for some at the
end of the show.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
That's exactly right. I got nothing. I still have a
handful left, all right, Dave, Well, have a great weekend
and we'll see a Dodger Stadium on Monday. Matt and
I will be out there from Dodger Stadium in the suite,
and I think we even have an upgrowth.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
It's super exciting, is that right?

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Guess he's on Monday? Did you believe that? I didn't
know that? Is that right? I guess we'll see you
guys out there on Monday. Thank you, Dave, and God
bless thanks for doing it, Dave, Thank you, Dave. He
hung up.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Dave seemed to be kind of busy. You had something, Kelly,
that was a great question. I've been wondering the same thing.
How are the Giants this good?

Speaker 2 (20:20):
They can't hit? Doesn't make any sense to me. All right,
well we'll be right back with Mark. Great sports talk
CALLI will help Mac give away the final prizes here. Yeah,
great idea. You can't like hang on like you're like
on a plane like you know.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
That's good. You know what they tell you. They say
you're supposed to widen your arms when you're at the desk.
You're you're a natural Cali. That's what you do.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
You have a larger presence when you sit at the desk.
I don't know if she's all dressed up like the
going with very big men. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:49):

Speaker 2 (23:10):
