Available here exactly right. Did you know we were out
at Monarch Beach yesterday? Many of you may know that,
but did you know there are two types of monarch butterflies.
Those are born West of the Rockies, which just kind
of hang out and cruise, mostly here in warm climates
southern California. I had a lot of the monarch butterflies
(03:22):
and those born east of the Rockies, known as Eastern monarchs,
predominantly living in the north east US and Canada. If
their summer berths, they'll hang out and then die, you know,
after their short lives. But if they're born late summer
or the fall, they will fly over three thousand miles
(03:45):
to Central Mexico in order to survive. A monarch butterfly.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
I learned all about that east of the Rockies, West
of the Rockies, and I think you know where it's
right air on that machine right there that you got
there Coast PMS. That's where I learned West of the Rocky.
Speaker 3 (04:04):

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah. Dodgers twenty nine and nineteen they've lost four in
a row. Tonight, Yoshi, I'm a motto on the mound.
Matt says he's gonna be the stopper.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Stopper, slow buster. Here it comes.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
It makes me want of blue lose. The Angels are
winners of four in a row.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
There's an angel right now.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
He's just arrived and he's gonna help. They're in Sacktown tonight.
Uh uh.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
The Halo Hanks are honking their honks, the Halo Hanks.
What's up? Halo Honks.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Angel with you right now, just got here and he's
gonna help. I like watching the Angels. I like I
like the excitement of the Dazzler. I watched some Angels
last night after the Dodgers went down, and watched the
Dazzler up in that minor league stadium up by the
bridge there?
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Did you Dazzler for cats? Saw you want the Dazzler
on the show? Because I've been asked by Apple TV
if you want the Dazzling? I do not.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
I don't want to. You never want to. You never
want to meet your heroes. Try to hear you never
want to meet your heroes. Try to hear, Matt h. Pittsburgh,
not just not just did a guy fall almost to
his death? And not just the uh the usher whipping
a man with his belt is but pirates ace Paul
(06:29):
skens He's pissed, tired of los understandable over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Added to what has been a rough month, Schemes is
zero and three in his four starts this month. Last
two games, he's giving up one earned run in each start,
struck out a combined fifteen with zero run support. It's
(06:57):
very sad.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Quote.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Not everything is within any other individual. And here's power
within your heart. I'll turn it.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Play your part. Come on, baby, I have a home
in Pittsburgh. It's not race is so right for me,
not for skin. He loved me with it's mighty heart.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Well he did say, just gotta keep going, just gotta
keep going.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Trees, trees, I've got this. Not one of our heroes,
Yassl Puig. That's my father singing about Pittsburgh. Uh with
the great saxophone player Richie Cole. Former Dodger outfielder Yassel
Puig was released by the Key Womb Heroes of the
KBO League in South Korea, sending a social media post
(07:47):
He's coming back to the US Jesus to dance at
the congreer room and get treatment on his injured soldier.
I mean shoulder.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Oh, I like to get treatment on my injured.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Well, I mean, I'm sure he worked it out now
in South Korea. He's now thirty four and struggled in
forty games this season in Korea to thirteen, batting average,
two eighty five on base percentage. That's not it's not
like he's worse than Mounsie uh pueakers at the Dodgers
from twenty thirteen to twenty eighteen. We miss weak.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
We do first English language interview ever with David Vesse,
a wild horse seminal moment in Dodger media history. Fine,
it's time for do your baseball. Fine, it's time for
do your baseball.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Let's go. Oh peek, huh, right, you really take it
for baseball, Let's go.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
We did right about these bill, He did take it
to bill.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
NFL owners have approved a proposal for players to participate
in the flag football on twenty twenty eight in the
LA Olympics. Oh took place in today's league meeting in Minneapolis.
And it's stupid.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
You're all idiots, you're all stupid food. Just let the
other kids play, for god sakes, throw on the flags
and run around out there. If you don't win golden
flagged football. I can't believe we lost school school did
flag flipball slip away? The little Mexican guys, guys, Filipinos
are all over the place, Charles, Yeah, Mexican, Philippines and
(09:16):
I believe we were in the bronze.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
They were tough.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Two seats in the podium, Mexico and Philippines.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Hall.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
How do you get down so low to get those flags?
All guys are so tall? And then what do we
pull in the bronze medal game? Freaking Canada a giant,
hulking mess people. We were ready for tack there at
Hall of Favorite. Charles Woodson has been approved as a
limited partner in the Brawl Congratulations Neil not high on
Native in the state's Measter football in ninety four. Woodson
(09:45):
has the first minority owner added since Jimmy D. Jimmy
and Day Jimmy and d Hasslim. Hey Day, get on
over here. We got to talk to these people. Became
the team's controlling owners in twenty twelve. Talk to him
about the pilot trucks I flown. Come on, didn't get
on over here. You got a neck tattoo and you
own the team. Uh Matt, the worm turns for Belichick.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
H He is the head football coach, of course at
University of North Carolina and speaking of a Jimmy and
d up Bubba Cunningham, North Carolina Athletic director recently said
the Heels has sold out our alignment of twenty thousand
season tickets program did not do that in twenty twenty four.
This sellout happened even with a twenty five percent increase
(10:34):
in season ticket costs. Cunningham said, there's no pushby I
could have jacked that process for it. People wouldn't have cared.
They want to put their eyes on his arm, Candy,
that's what they're looking for. You ever seen a coach
with you.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
I hate that argument where people are like, hey, I bit,
you would like to hear it.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
It's like, no, no, I wouldn't. No, I wouldn't. She's
twenty four. I absolutely would not. She's a child.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Any other news.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yes, Trouble Cub Enterprises Trouble Cub TC taken care of
everything Trouble Cub Enterprises. Jordan Hudson is their CEO founder nice.
She filed fourteen trademark requests on April third with the
(11:28):
Federal Trademark Office. Phrases commonly used are attached to head
coach Bill Belichick in his days with the Patriots, and
they're owned by the team and team owner Robert Kraft,
like no days off, do your job. Oh ignore the
noise orchids of Asia.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
I sucked that one.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
In there, But apparently, being twenty four, is taking the
Taylor Swift approach and just putting Bill's version next to
them so she can file the trademark chapel Bill, I
would assume she can get away with unless it was
already filed, which it probably has been, which is why
that's got to have the Bill's version. Two. She sucks
(12:14):
good luck to Jordan.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Well, yesterday we talked about her, Matt. You remember she's
having a hard time piercing the armor of Nantucket's society.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Nantucket.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Huh, everybody likes Belichick's hot acts and not the young Linda.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Can you justsu Mishaw out here? Just Lett, Jordan have
like two blocks in Nantucket, And I'm not asking you
to turn over the whole island door. It would just
give her a little slu there's a slice, Yeah, back off,
this is below you.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Matt's got more in the very next segment his baseball
thoughts with the top story of the day.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Woman, grown woman, This is not okay, she's a child.
I'm happy, all right, Linda, For once in my life,
I'm happy. We weren't happening. We're not talking about this.
This is outside. This is outside the lines.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Right.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
No, you're seventy three and she's twenty four. We are
talking about it, as you can podcast him on the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
He ohee. People were drinking. They weren't drinking that much.
Oh what, we had a great time and uh we're
onto baseball now though. Dodgers on deck at six, first
pitch at seven.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Ten, isn't this great?
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Snakes in town? Yamamoto on the mound. Dodgers got blown
up last night. A couple solo home runs after life.
They were hard. But that's not gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Yeah, Corbyn Carroll, you know he hits for power and
he's fast.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
That's true, man, Is that right? Yes? You know, why
don't you just continue with that baseball talk? Matt, let's
go but that that's good baseball talk. Why don't you
talk about it?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Is that right?
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Sorry?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Of it?
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Tip of the cap to our David Vasse under the weather,
Tim Kates gonna be doing some heavy lifting tonight. Dodgers
on Deck and postgame Dodger Talk. Dave did a great
job with us yesterday putting something into perspective. So we
are the panic brothers. We should be You should be panicked.
And it's not just that the team lost four games
(14:17):
in a row.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Now, well, everybody had to wear it from that one
dormant Angel fan in their lives exactly. That's not pleasant.
They got swept by one of the worst teams in baseball.
Certain Someone's on social media saying, all right, Halo Hawks,
Certain Someone and Roger Lodge from the Lodge, honk your Halo.
I mean, there was smoke popping out of the chimney
of the Lodge like they just picked a new pulpe,
(14:40):
which they did.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
The Lodge was about to close for the season, but
you sweeped the Dodgers for the first time in fifteen years.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
And now Trent Rush is saying stuff like cos we're
overbooked at the Lodge. I mean, don't get me wrong,
I love the extra work, but we weren't prepared for that.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
I was not We are not staffed We've won four
straight Halo Hawks Hawk your Halo's and look, we should
have seen this coming. Sure, yeah, no problem. The Dodgers
did it again this offseason. I took a look at
the four biggest contracts signed by free agent pitchers that
(15:17):
changed teams this offseason. Dodgers did four years, one hundred
and ten mil with Blake Snell. They chose not to
make a run at Corbyn Burns, Max Freed or Jack Flerty,
our old friend Flarity. I suppose I could understand a
little bit because, yeah, noodle Legs solely the he's got
a drinking problem. Guys, hey you saw him at the parade.
(15:41):
But you look at the other two. Corbyn Burns absolute workhorse,
top ten CY Young vote getter in each of his
four seasons going into free agency this offseason, including winning
the Cy Young Back in twenty twenty one through one
hundred and ninety four innings last year, one hundred and
ninety three the year before, two hundred the year before that. Yeah,
(16:02):
you got a seven year deal thirty mil per. That's
three million per season more than Blake Snell. But again
two hundred, two hundred, two hundred, top five Cy Young
Vote getter in each of the last four seasons. Point
being when you hand him the ball, he's able to
(16:24):
take it and go make a start. Max Freed one
hundred and seventy four innings last year, was down with
an injury in twenty three, two years prior to that,
one eighty five second place in the cy Young one
hundred and seventy before that, what did he get? Basically
the same deal Snell got, but a five year instead
of a four one forty over five, one ten over
(16:46):
four for Snell. And then you look at Snell when
he's healthy, great one hundred and eighty innings, two cy
Young Awards, but outside of those two years, oh No.
One and four and last year one hundred and twenty eight,
one hundred twenty eight fifty innings when he was injured
in twenty twenty. But twenty twenty was a weird year.
(17:09):
Oh yeah, you know what, that's right, That's right. That
was June the third, So no, never mind that that
was the good call COVID year. But in a ten
year career, you're looking at a lot more seasons where
he's missed time and about seven to ten starts than
pitching like a front line Ace, But as Dave told
us yesterday, the Dodgers don't care. I mean, it's crazy
(17:30):
and it's a little weird and it's hard to understand,
but that's just their deal. What's your deal? That's their deal.
Can we figure out a way to have you ready
to pitch like a third of the season and in
October and it's so, we'll figure it out. Manage the
regular season with a bunch of bullpen games in the
Oklahoma City Express, punch our ticket to the tournament, and
(17:51):
then you're ready to go.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
That works out. I mean, it worked out last year,
but I don't think it's a It wasn't fun. It's
not safe to live on the edge like that, as
Arrow Smith taught us, living on the edge. But Dave
told us yesterday.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
They don't care.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
If Sizzu is ready for October, we'll be worth every penny.
And he's right. If snell Zilla is worth, will be
worth every penny as twenty nine million dollars a year
if he's healthy, because when he is, he's pretty exceptional,
no question, someone you'd want on the mount in a
playoff game, although I dug into it playoff record not
as sparkling as some would lead you to believe. Now
(18:28):
the game his manager pulled him out of in the
World Series against the Dodgers in that June, the third
David Covid year. He was throwing pretty well, but he
typically throws around five innings, typically gives up a few runs,
walks way too many guys which gets them out of
the game early. But overall, I would say just about
any team if he were healthy, would take him to
make a postseason start. He's got a winning record and
a three three three eer a.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Not a lot of guys like that with that kind
of experience, Matt.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
It's exactly right, Prue, And that's all the Dodgers care about.
Can we put you on the mound in October with
our offense? Can you give us five? Can you give
up three or fewer runs? Because if you can, we
are likely going to win that game. This is the
weird thing for me though. It's an analytical approach that
(19:12):
they tend to take, but they don't really look for
it when it comes to pitching like the Pedro Martinez,
Tom Glavin, Kurt Shilling, Randy Johnson. I'm gonna throw eight,
I'm gonna give up a run or two and I'm
gonna be able to get out there for one hundred
and forty pitches and that's why you're paying me all
this money. But they just, I guess, don't care and
you can't go I don't care.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Well, look at last year, I mean, Walker Buehler was
an afterthought right and ended up being the World Series hero.
Yamamoto gone for two months. That would be like the
equivalent of Roki Sasaki coming out and becoming a postseason
hero this year after disappearing in the early part of
the season like Yamamoto did with injury. I guess, I
(19:53):
guess that's what they're banking on. But it's not the
rotation that we felt was going to be in place
when the season.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Starts, most definitely. And the thing that I can't figure
out is here as a team that's supposed to be
on the cutting edge, right like they're a step ahead
of everybody. They've got this stuff figured out and other
teams are just playing catchup. How do they sign Tyler
glassnow with all of their.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Analytics David Vassay's Late Night It was at the Urbans
with the Brad Paisley and Brad Paisley outside of Nashville,
a late night drive home with the two gms.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Let's do it. Let's just do it to say we
did it. They did the deal. Let's do it. Let's
say we did the deal at Paisley's house and his
speakeasies that we can tell. How does a team that
is so heavily invested in analytics hand over more money
to Tyler Glass now than they did to Blake Snell
four years. One hundred and fifteen million bucks is what
(20:52):
they gave him after the trade. And this guy, in
ten postseason starts, has a five to seven to two ERA,
has given up ten home runs thirty earned runs as
a three and four record, and the Dodgers teed off
on him personally in twenty twenty in his two starts
personally a nine to six' FOUR era in The World,
series gave up ten earned run to The, dodgers and
(21:16):
he doesn't. Bitch one hundred and thirty four innings last
year was his new career, high and he couldn't even
make it into the postseason save nips and, apps drinking,
beers nips and, apps.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Drinking, beers snorting.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Coat in nine, seasons he has made it over one
hundred innings twice and. Barely SO i don't know what they,
want what we're supposed to. Want the point is it's
not that. Surprising fans can, panic the panic brothers can.
Panic but The, DODGERS i would, imagine knew this was gonna.
(21:51):
Happen they assume this is gonna happen when they traded For. Glass,
now when they handed him one hundred and fifteen million
bucks for a team that relies on analytics as much
as they, DO i guess they knew. That, yeah you know,
what he's probably gonna throw about one hundred, innings but
we'll figure it. Out it's got great, nips he's got beautiful,
abs and he knows how to hold a can of.
Beer The dodgers do a lot of things very very.
(22:13):
Well there was no question this team is plenty good
enough to win A World, series just, treadwater make the.
Postseason but right, now pee through this. Swoon they are
no longer on pace to win one hundred games this.
Year they're now on a ninety seven game win, pace
which is for somebody who thought they were going to
go one hundred and sixty two and oh that's about Sixty,
(22:35):
YEAH i. Do and that's WHY i take this.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Personally you Got i'm surprised people don't throw tomatoes at
you when you're walking around at this.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Pace they're gonna come up sixty five games short of my.
Projection that is way. Off how CAN i be considered
a seam head moving forward when they're going to be
sixty five games off with my projection? Exactly AND i
should have heeded that one wat you.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Did.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Uh they are in the best division baseball and they
have barely touched. It playing The diamondbacks tonight tomorrow one last,
time and they have not played The Padres. Giants rocky.
Suck they played. Them they'll have Dustin may. Tomorrow he's
lost it his last three. Starts and then over the,
Weekend Kershaw gonsolin Landon nack as you, said not what
(23:21):
we signed up. For three. Dudes they couldn't handle The
angels over the. Weekend maybe The angels are. Hot they.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Are you got an angel with you right, now just got.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Here and that's why the angel he's gonna. Help and
that is Why Halo hawks Clauncher.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Halo that's why they're ordinary ordering the linen truck to
get over to the lotch because they need to do some.
Launder they're busy as.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
HELL i say it every year and it works both.
Ways there's two sides to the.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Coin there's a flip side to that.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
COIN i enjoy the regular. SEASON i am not A
World series or. BUST i like to watch the game
aimes night in and night. OUT i like to Watch
dalton rushing high Saw kim early in their. CAREERS i
like to watch Shoe Hail pani's at. BATS i enjoy regular.
Season base you're a, Purist, matt Like vic's a hoop.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Purist, right you are a seam head, purist which is
why your prediction for an undefeated season was so. Respected exactly.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Right people really hailed me for. THAT i made national.
News was, uh what they're trotting out?
Speaker 3 (24:28):
There?
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Now it hurts your? Credibility really? DID i took a?
Hit but you, know sometimes you gotta take.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
Risks, yeah you. Did you took a, risk like a high,
risk like a man keep.
Speaker 2 (24:37):

Speaker 1 (24:55):

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Unmarried uh it appears as though they have taken the said.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Prostitution yes you.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Married NO i was not anymore after some things came.
Out uh keep. Scrolling, sorry too many inside things, there but,
hey just Whatever my point. Is B apparently The dodgers
don't approach the regular season the WAY i. Do maybe
