(04:36):
The competitive eating vacuum and that isthe word of the day. Competitive
eating vacuum that was opened when JoeyChestnut left or was banned. I guess
they're still trying to figure it out. But the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest
on July fourth, I mean, are we not a nation of compromise?
At least we used to be?Can we not find a compromise here.

(04:58):
Well, he signed with somebody thatmay not real meat, and Nathan's is
all about the real meaty meat. You want the meat. We got the
real meat, and they're saying youcan't do it if you signed with those
heretics and those, as Vick wouldsay, vegans. The vegans. I
believe it's a vegan dog. Butwhether or not they figure that out,

(05:23):
thank god. And I thought thisguy retired, but Joey Jestnut in his
longtime nemesis Kobayashi, and we hada lot of name checking for the competitive
eaters of the world yesterday, dancebooker, let's go. They're going head
to head in a hot dog eatingcontest once again. But it's not going
to be the Labor Day Extravaganza. It's not going to be the fourth of

(05:44):
July. But it is a LaborDay extravaganza, and it's fifteen years in
the making. These guys haven't facedoff in a competitive eating contest since O
nine at the traditional Nathan's competition inConey where the Warriors spot so hard to
get back to that one night. And Joey Chestnut, you know what his
nickname is, Matt Warriors, BigUh Balls, McGhee, Jaws, Jaws.

(06:12):
He beat Kobayashi to defend his mustardbelt and then Kobayashi went off into
obscurity. It was the greatest eatingdisplay of all time. And now they're
going to be head ahead in September. I don't know who's going to air
the event, but it's a rivalrythat's been brewing for a long time,

(06:35):
or maybe Netflix. It makes sensethey're trying to get into the live the
live event game. You know.I heard it's going to be like Rocky
four. It will stream on Netflix. Chestnut's going to Japan on Labor Day,
can be trading out in Hokkaido Septembersixth. I came here, I

(07:00):
saw a lot of people not likingJaws, and I guess I didn't like
yous, so we got that goingfor us. Man. I'm not gonna
let Rogan and Rodney just sit thereand do an hour on competitive eating.
You know, before Fred can talkabout somebody's death. You can't step the
me, not with Sonya the BlackWidow, not with Eater Rex, not

(07:23):
with Eric Badland's book or pe.You cannot step down, no step into
Bruno it has been a stellar weekfor the Tony Bruno Show. I'm just
not not comparing us to Bruno andMiss Robin. I'm saying I didn't like
Fred and Rodney and Vic live fromDestin, Florida. I didn't like them
eating our hot dogs and throwing theirhot dogs on our face when our eyes

(07:45):
were closed and our mouth was kindof slack, like just wearing the hot
dogs. So that is streaming liveon Netflix. Chestnut versus Koba Yashi.
I know Colin Yee of some Japanesedescent. I know who he will be
supporting. Hey one, please moveover there. Huh yeah. I could
see him in the stands at theTokyo Dome wearing the Buster Posey jersey wrapped

(08:09):
in the Japanese flag, screaming forKoba Yosha, oh yeah against And I
could see Kate's o the Douglas likewearing the Yeah. And I could see
Kate's in uh Buster posey because he'sa Giants fan. I could see Kate's
wearing a full shark outfit for Jaws. Oh the crowd as well, Oh
with that big Uncle Sam American flaghat. Oh like James Brown Rocky four

(08:33):
exactly one of the many montages. It was really just a performance. That
wasn't a montage, that was justa performance. It's a beauty. We're
gonna put a musical performance in themiddle of this film, and it's gonna
last three and a half minutes.Let's do the number of the day.
Here's my number. Number of theday is corrections and retractions. Corrections.

(08:56):
And you know it pains me tosay it, but I cannot run.
I cannot run from father time.I am beginning to have the senior moments
in my life and it's very disconcerting. And yesterday I had one just trying
to do some fireworks, follow upa story about a guy whose kids led

(09:20):
his bathroom on fire, and youfollowed up with a simple observation, Hey,
Mario Balatellian, that's the black guyfrom Italy, right, because you
don't you know, when you thinkof the Italian national team, you think
of dudes with big noses and mustaches, right, Basio. And then this
is a black guy with a mohawklike demolition. Yeah. And I was
like, no, no, nothim, that guy that looks like Eddie

(09:43):
Garcia, And of course the Twitterblows up. You idiot, that is
the black guy Balaatelli. I waslike, oh, who the hell am
I thinking of them? What hashappened to me? I used to watch
Balaatelli play all the time, andI was like, wait a minute,
Oh, no, I have confuseda Bulgarian gentleman froman Italian gentleman. Berbatov.

(10:09):
Oh is the man I was thinkingof the Uh, the dappelganger of
Andy Garcia. Not the chef whogot canceled by me too. No,
not not that dude, but DimitarBerbatov, longtime manu short time spur.
For whatever reason, was the imageI had in my mind's eye as I
read the fun fact about Balatelli, who apparently finds himself in the news regularly

(10:35):
over Yes, I think he droveinto a women's prison to see what it
was like. He did, hedrove his car into a woman's visit to
see what was going on. Yeah, just the one on the chick it
Out. You know, I said, a movie a women are behind bars.
I love Linda Blair and I wantedto see you what it goes on.

(10:56):
So my mistake. Thank you forall the corrections through the social media
channels. Everybody my apologies. Well, you know, there's worse things that
have happened, certainly than misidentify andobscure black Italian soccer player for an obscure
Bulgarian soccer player. It's just aninteresting thing to get confused. I'm certain

(11:20):
I was confused, but you knowI've been live in a perpetual state of
confusion. I have a senior momentevery day ever since I was attacked by
that tree. Ronnie, this isthe song of the day. Poolside is
the name of a local LA bandwith our song of the day called to

(11:41):
Feel all Right because the Petros andMoney shows on your AM radio transmitting live
from the Pinnacle Building and beautiful SonnyBurbank, California, moving quickly through the
middle of the week where three hoursof great sports talk will make everything feel
all right, leading into Dodge Baseballwith the Texas Rangers at the stadium and

Marongo Casino Dodgers on Deck program. It's coming up at the top of the
six o'clock hour. Thank you,Ronnie, and you're welcome. As we
mentioned, James Worthy last hour payingtribute to Jerry West passed away earlier this
morning, Doug Crecory and our oldfriend. We'll do the same thing next

(12:28):
going till six. We'd love tosee on Friday three to six pm we
will have the first event of thetwenty twenty four PMS Summer Tour and it
will be at the Rock and Brucein Buena Park, right off the ninety
one on Beach Boulevard, giving awaya fifty inch westing House HDTV, five
hundred dollars, Dodgers Clubhouse store giftcard, two hundred and fifty dollars gift

(12:50):
card to Burke Williams, knots BerryFarm tickets, Dodgers tickets, and a
whole host more, and you canqualify to be the first finalist to have
a shot at eleven thousand dollars atthe end of it all. All right,
man, joining us right now onyour Southern California on Toyota Dealers Celebrity
Hotline. A man who lived Lawhen Bunker Hill an Angel's flight was a
thing. A man who lived thehistory that we talk about so much.

(13:15):
A great person, a great writer, a great radio and TV personality,
and the work he did pave theway for people like us, of course,
a legend our dear friend Doug Crekorianonce again on the Petrosen Money Show.
A sad day but also a greatday to celebrate a great la icon

(13:39):
and beyond globally in Jerry West,Dougie, how are you? God bless
you? Thank you for joining us. That was the greatest introduction I've ever
had in my long, very longlife. Thank you very much. I
appreciate it. Well, we goway back, you know, our families
go way back. And I rememberthe first time I ever saw Jerry West

(14:01):
in person, my goodness, wasat your wife's funeral, right and I
was in awe to see him inperson, to see him walk in,
and just to be in his presence. What was your relationship like with him
over the years, and and howdid it change? What can you tell
her? I can tell you aboutmy relationship. He's probably among the closest,

(14:26):
most loyal friends I've ever had inmy life. That no one has
been that close to me. Ican tell your story after story what he's
done. He came to my weddingwith my late wife, Jillian, He
came to the funeral, you know, he came to my retirement at the

(14:46):
boat House in the Long Beach. He came to my introduction induction I'm sorry,
into the National Hall of Fame acouple of years ago in Montabello.
He stayed four and a half hours. Can you believe that? I mean
four and a half hours. Andhe turned out to be the biggest star
of the Hall of Fame. Peoplewere lined up to take pictures and get

(15:09):
his autograph and Cigaret Leonard was there, Michael Sphinx was there. A lot
of big fighters are there and he'syou know what could I say? It
was? Anything I ever wanted fromhim he would do. He's the most
generous, nicest guy that I've everknown in my life. And he's someone
you covered Doug professionally as well. You had that relationship with him, and

(15:33):
you know, what can you say, as someone who's seen so much in
the city, You know the importantfigures that have built and you know craft
the sports landscape, how does JerryWest fit into all of them? Well?
Jerry West, when when I firststart covering him, money was in
nineteen nineteen sixty eight October sixty eight, chicker and introduce them, to introduce

(15:56):
them to me. When we gotan airplane to go to Filhiladelphia. That
was the first game Chamberlain played withthe team, and from that moment on
we played. You guys would likethis. I was twenty four years old
at the time. They needed afourth partner in Hearts and played. I
played Hearts with WILF Chamberlain, JerryWess in Elgin, Baylor. Can you

(16:18):
imagine that. I'm not kiddy. That is a true story. It's incredible.
Little kid from you know, SanwalkinValley in the middle of California,
little town called Fowlers, seventeen hundredpeople and here I am playing hearts with
guys that I had a better Youhad a better military press, and all
three of them combined. Dougie, you got to give yourself the credit.

(16:40):
Yeah, oh well, I don'tknow about that one. Thanks, that's
all. But Jerry West was themost generous, nice. It's just a
great guy. He was nice topeople. I'm not sure there's any superstar.
And you know, guys, Icovered sports in LA for fifty years.
I met every famous athlete in Americaat the time. I can't think

(17:03):
of anyone was nicer to the publicthan Jerry West. And you know,
Magic has been great, and alot of people have been, but Jerry
was the best. Doug, Whatwhat do the Lakers look like? Because
you talk about, you know, they move west, and they moved west
with Elgin and Jerry, and Jerry'syour superstar. The NBA is trying to
expand to the western markets. Theyget this superstar and Jerry West, and

(17:26):
then you think about the teams thathe built. How dramatically different is the
history of the Lakers. If JerryWest is not on that team that moves
from Minneapolis to Los Angeles, well, it wouldn't have been the same Laker
tea because he built you know, obviously he's responsible for Kobe and O'Neil.
His friendship with Leonard o'mono bought O'Neillhere and Kobe. He was the only

(17:48):
guy that thought, you know, enough of him the draft him as high
as he did, and he theimpact was incredible. I mean when Jerry
came out of here, Elgin wasreally a great, great player. He
was my boyhood idol, Elgin Baylortoo. I had two boyhood idols,
Jim Gilliam and Elgin Baylor. Isaw Jim Gilly one time at Seal stadium

(18:10):
and I with the Dodgers. Hismanners is everything I like. But anyway,
that's another story. Elgin Baylor wasunbelievable. Jerry was also. He
was incredible and the impact he hadwas incredible. Guys. I mean,
you know, he was a greatplayer. And he wasn't six' three.
He was six' four. Healways used to laugh about that.

(18:32):
He said, keep it at sixthree down and I you know, but
he had the longest arms. Hewas a great, great player who's quick.
As you know. He was reallyquick. He could play great defense,
he could rebound. He led usto West Virginia and rebounds. He
was a tremendous jumper. I laughedwhen people say he couldn't play today.
You got to be kidding me.With the rules when he played, they

(18:55):
used to rough them up, CaseyJones, Larry Seagfreed having to chick all
of them. They hung on himall the time, and somehow he got
away. What he could have donein this ear I think incredible. He'd
have been great three point shooter. He had that. Have you ever watched
him shoot? He had the perfectshooting rhythm. You know, we love
it. Doug Griccoryan joining us rememberingthe great Jerry West. We love talking

(19:21):
to Doug Gricoryan, and we're goingto do it more often because it's fun
to do and great to connect thisin this way. It really is.
It really is wonderful to hear yourvoice. You know. It's very interesting
because we all live and worked inla for our lifetimes, and you know,
it's kind of hard to rise abovethe fray and for everybody to think

(19:44):
you're a great guy, you know, and Jerry, you know, especially
when you're working with the Lakers andmaking impactful decisions and trading players and drafting
players. How did he do it? How did he maintain a level of
dignity that no one else really seemedto be able to maintain, None of
us, none of these guys, none of his peers, Nobody, nobody,

(20:08):
And he never talked about himself, you know, guys. I'd go
out with him three four times ayear. We used to go to Dan
Tanna's, who went to a placeyou know Petros of course, Phil trainees
in Long Beach in the Delaway, and he just acted like a regular guy.
He'd meet you, he'd shake yourhand. I'll tell you guys a

(20:29):
great story. Two years ago,I was inducted into the National Boxing Hall
of Fame Mountain, Montabella. There'ssix hundred people there, and I said,
Jerry, come on out. Andhe came out there four and a
half hours. Guys, you knowhow those things go. I was the
last guy. Oh, one ofthe last guys called up. He stayed
there that he laughed as the USBhow could you keep it here? And

(20:52):
there was a big long line andthere's six hundred people boxing people and they
were, oh, my gosh, you can't believe. I mean they're big,
right, you know, they're thebig boxes there. Ray Leonard was
there and Michael Spinks and other people, and the people were more interested in
Jerry West. He signed autographs,he smile, he took pictures. But

(21:15):
that was Jerry. I mean,he was the most generous guy ever.
Petro, if you get a kickout of this. We took him out
the Dowray one time, and ofcourse eight people, my friend, you
know, Bernie Shelmans, some ofthe Southern Winding spares. We went out
there and Bernie said, I'm pickingup the tab and you know, we

(21:37):
all put in our credit cards. There were eight of us there and he
said, we're picking up the tabdesign because Jerry always picked up the tab
with me that you know, DanTannah's and all the places I meet him.
And he said, guys, hegot tired of we were trying to
we were fumbling in our pockets. He said, guys, I made million

(22:00):
on oil today, I'm picking itup. And he did it. That
was Jerry. He was the mostgenerous kind. He was very loyal to
me. I mean very loyal, very loyal. What about Doug the competitor
that he was not on the court, not in basketball, but you mentioned
as you're rolling around Long Beach andat Nico's or Crows or wherever you guys

(22:21):
are playing cards, what about likehe was competitive in it, like really
competitive at everything. Right. Well, I heard he did very well in
general at the bell Air Country Club, and I hear he did very well
on the Links South there too.I never got I didn't ask him what
he did there, but you know, he was he was just such a
fuss. He was the greatest evaluatorof a basketball talent ever. He basically

(22:48):
I give him credit for building theWarriors and you know, worked for them
from twenty eleventeen to twenty and seventeen, and you know he obviously have to
play Thompson, and he drafted DraymondGreen and he got Alodolla. I mean,
he was the no one. Theyknow what he did up there when

(23:11):
Bob Myers one of the trade KlayThompson for Kevin Love the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Back. I was with Michael Thompsonlast week having dinner and you said this.
He told me the story, andThompson was going to Cleveland and Jerry
West went to the owner there andsaid, well, I'm resigning right now.

(23:32):
You can't make that trade. Andthey didn't make the trade. Of
course, Klay Thompson went the GreatGuards and is who you know, maybe
the second best shooting guard ever.I don't you know, maybe the best
thirty eight points in one quarter. But that was Jerry. He had a
knock for putting together teams. Hereally did. Look when he did the
Lakers, they're probably you know, showtime, and then he brought the right

(23:56):
right people in all the time.Byronn he knew how to build teams.
Michael Thompson, he knew chemistry.Michael Cooper. You could go on on
Ac Green I could spend the restof your show talking to the lookly you
get down to Memphis. Memphis neverwon a game until he went down there,

(24:17):
so so importunately that he ever hadto go down to Memphis. But
Jerry Buss didn't pay him what hewas and what he deserved to be paid.
And that's what we'll talk about thenext time we bring you on,
Dougie, maybe his relationships with theLakers and how they kind of blew it
over the years. But we absolutelylove having you on, having your talk.

(24:40):
Heavy day, but also a wonderfultime to remember a great friend of
yours. Dougie, thank you somuch and God bless you. Have a
great night. Okay, Hey,thank you very much. Always nice coming
wrong with you, guys, Appreciateyou, doug Okay, guys, bye
bye. Stylish guy too. Ohyeah, he'll come out to Buena Park.

(25:02):
I'd love to have them send thecar, send the packer to pick
up Gregorian. Right. Think aboutGregorian, you know, hanging out Jerry
West, his pal Soshia, hispal Joe Madden, like they all just
hang out in Naples and take themto Nicos into the boat house there in

(25:22):
Long Beach and they all just hangout and drink. That's what the relationship
used to be like with them.Well, and he's an exceptional person too.
I had that experience with Barry Tompkins, my old uh you know.
I I found that he had similarrelationships my because he was an old time
media guy and the pay gap wasn'tthe same, you know, right,
So people were friends. You know, these guys didn't have they protected each

(25:45):
other. They'd have so much toto hide. I guess, well maybe
they did, but they would hideit for him. Maybe they played.
Maybe they played hide the brisket man. Whoa invest abel Join us from Dodger
Stadium next Thattrow some Money AM fiveto seventy LA Sports Live Everywhere on the
iHeartRadio app. Come see us onFriday this Friday three to six pm going

(26:10):
into Dodger Baseball against the Royals whereat Rock and Bruce in Planta Park.
Not only do we have a fiftyinch Weston House HDTV to give away,
not It's Berry Farm tickets too, hundred fifty dollars gift card to Burke Williams,
but we also have Dodger tickets toDodger games and also a five hundred
dollars Dodgers Clubhouse Store gift card. All right, Matt, let's get out
to Dodger Stadium where the one andonly David Vasse is waiting to give us

(26:33):
the exclusive. Not only the onlyone on one interview with Corey Seeger offered
all week long Javas reb but informationabout Dodger moves and what's new and excited
with the Kansas City Royals who arehot headed to town and the defending World
Series champs in town with one ofthe Dodgers owned Corey Seeger, David Basse

(27:00):
the home of the Dodgers with aninside look at the Dodgers. This is
the Vasse Report with David Basse, and he's got the exclusive with the Texas
X Corey Seeger, the one andonly David Vasse at the real Underscore DV
on your Southern California Toyota Dealer,Celebrity Hotline, Spectrum Sports Net, MLB

(27:25):
Network, but right here on MFIseventy LA Sports and he's working double time
tonight with the Morocango Casino, Dodgerson Deck and Dodgers. Hello, Dave,
how are you great to hear from? Yeah? I'm doing great.
Petros and money. A beautiful dayout here at Dodgers Stadium, and certainly
a big night here at Dodgers Stadiumwith the offense exploding for the most runs

(27:48):
they have scored all season long.Dave, what was the atmosphere like with
Corey Seger? It certainly looked likehe got a nice ovation from the crowd
and the Dodgers paid their respects forhis time spent here, which obviously helped
the liberal World Series. Matt,I was pleasantly pleased, or I would
I should say I was very happythat the Dodgers did the right thing and

(28:11):
saluted one of the best players wehave seen take the field in a Dodger
uniform in the last fifteen years.I mean, Corey Seger was the first
round pick in twenty twelve, hewon Minor League Player of the Year.
He played in the twenty fifteen NLDSas a rookie, he won the World
Series MVP. He's a two timeWorld Series champ and a fan favorite above

(28:37):
everything else, and you know itwas bittersweet for Seeger. I'm sure that
he was not able to play lastnight, but it did give him the
opportunity to take in the video montagethey played at seven oh one pm last
night, and also reciprocate the appreciationhe had for the Dodger fans giving him

(28:59):
the ovation they did and really soakingin those Seeger highlights. And it was
a really special night and I'm lookingforward to catching up with him day two
at Dodgers Stadium. Despite many Dodgersbeing very jealous of my relationship with a
high caliber player like Corey Seeger, who was the most jealous like other high

(29:19):
caliber caliber players like Mookie Betts, who basically is here because Corey Seeger isn't,
or vice versa or whatever, ButI mean, who's jealous? Well,
I do get a lot of sideeyes when players see me stand in
front of the opponent's dugout. They'realways wondering what the heck's going on there.
But Austin Barnes and I had anice back and forth about my loyalty

(29:42):
to Seeger, and he was questioningwhether or not Seeger even remembers me,
and I put it to the test. I said, hey, I'll call
him right now FaceTime of all things. He said, he will not answer
your FaceTime call. Well, threerings later, Corey Seeger appeared outside of

(30:03):
the batting cage on the Rangers side. Well, it could have been too
Petros. I'm trying to be humblehere, but you know, well Austin
Barnes was shamed, shamed in hisown clubhouse that Segar would answer the phone,
and you know, Seegar hung upon him when he first saw it
was Barnes and not my fat face. Well, Dave, I say,

(30:29):
humiliate him further. Make Barnes FaceTimehim tonight and see if it goes to
voice. That would be that wouldbe so sweet, so sweet. But
you want to be careful. MaybeBarnes is going to start tonight and then
he goes oh for and he justcan't get his mind off the humiliations.
Barnes is not starting. I mean, that's the most ridiculous thing to even
suggest a night game. After anight game, Barnes knows he's not sniffing

(30:55):
catching until Sunday afternoon. All right, Dave, the doctor did make a
move with Cavin Vigio coming from Canada. They make moves like this all the
time, bring in guys that aren'tworking out other places. And maybe the
Dodgers feel like they have the magictouch. Do they need to have the
magic touch with this guy. He'splaying right away tonight, right He's starting

(31:18):
at third base tonight. And myunderstanding talking to people with the Blue Jays
is that Vigio can play high leveldefense at all positions outside his shortstop,
and he's a left handed hitter.I was looking at his splits, you
know, since the Dodgers like todo platoons. He's not really great against
righty. So I was a littlesurprised by that. But my understanding is

(31:41):
there was a lot of unfair expectationson Vigio coming up with Bob Bishett and
Vladimir Guerrero Junior. I was readinga column into Toronto's Sun that wanted Vigio
to be a clubhouse leader, bethe leadoff hitter, be all these things
that he's not. He's a roleplayer, and with the Dodgers he can
be that role player. And look, I'm not saying this is going to

(32:05):
be forever. I mean, he'sgoing to get paid by the Dodgers two
point two million dollars the rest ofthe year in this trade, but it
feels like this is a back endroster move to see what they got and
also some insurance for third base andwhatever else may pop up. Uh,
you mentioned the number Dave, andit's something we're going to get into a

(32:27):
little bit later in the show. How many like how exclusive is this to
the Dodgers? It seems like theyare willing to take on, like you
said, two point two million here, one and a half million there?
Is that normal for all organizations?Or does that? Is that something that
separates them these fringe players like youknow twenty three, twenty four to twenty
five, that they are willing tospend millions of dollars on to see if

(32:50):
one of them pops. That's whatseparates them In a lot of ways,
that goes under the radar mat Manyteams cannot afford to pay a pitch like
JP fireheus In or Daniel Hudson orBlake trinon a year to rehab for the
following season. That's specifically a separator, and other teams can't make mistakes on

(33:12):
giving Chris Taylor that kind of contract. Would it would completely neutralize a mid
market or low market team. Butas far as like a guy like Visio,
Yeah, that's another great example. How many teams out there would give
Cavin Bigio two point two million dollarsthat would be the remainder of his contract.

(33:34):
The Blue Jays owed him. Butthat's what separates the Dodgers from a
lot of other teams. They havea lot more resources that other markets don't
have. Matt's upset about Biggie Vargas, Dave, can you help make him
feel better? Why Meggie? He'shitting four straight games, Dave, He's
got three doubles in eight games. What the hell? Why Meggie? I
know, well twenty two million reasons? Why Matt tired of this guy?

(34:00):
I'm tired of this Chris Taylor guy. Weren't you out there surfing with him
the other day? No, henever followed up, Hattie. I wouldn't
be tired of him, but henever did. He left me high and
drive. How were we going tohelp Hi? He's such a great guy,
Dave, How are we going tohelp Taylor out? He's got to
help himself and stop being so stubborn. What worked in twenty seventeen obviously is

(34:21):
not working in twenty twenty four. And it's hard to make drastic changes during
the middle of the season, andthat's what it seems like it's going to
take. So look the thing inthe back of Andrew Freeman's mind. I'm
sure is even though Chris Taylor haslooked unplayable the first three months of the
season, he is a really goodplayoff player, and I'm sure that's in

(34:45):
the back of his mind. Butthey are buying Taylor more time to see
if he can figure this out andif better players present themselves. At the
July thirtieth trade deadline, the Dodgersare going to be at a crossroads with
Chris Taylor. Last one for me, Dave, I feel like we ask
it all the time, but untilthere's some consistency, we'll probably keep asking

(35:07):
what do we want to see fromWalker Bueller to and I what would be
a qualified success for this start?Number one? Throwing strike one. The
numbers against him are drastically different whenhe's ahead into the count with a first
pitch strike and when he's behind bynot throwing a first pitch strike. And

(35:28):
going back three or four years,Mike Soosha pointed out to me to keep
track on how many pitches a pitcherthrows behind in the count, and I've
been doing that more with Walker Buehler, and it's astonishing to see how underwater
he is during a game, andsometimes during a specific inning, throwing five
to seven pitches behind in the count. He has to throw strike one and

(35:52):
that will make things a lot betterfor him. David Vasse, he always
throws strike one down the d Weappreciated Massey doubling up tonight in more than
one way. Thank you, Dave, and have a great night. Corey
seeger on the pregame show, DavidVase will take you home all night with

(36:15):
Colin. Ye right with him.Thank you, Dave, Thanks guys,
and we'll be back with another hourof the Petros and Money Show, as
compelling as Chestnut Versus Koba Yashki. You bet your sweet ass,
