Speaker 2 (00:41):
Brother Kates is politely waiting. I think I did. I
think being a lord talked to him for like twenty minutes.
I'm not exaggerating, give us nuts, and then he finally
broke free and I was talking to a gentleman. Kates
is being polite. He seems like a very nice guy. Yeah,
did not seem like he was trying to get out
of that interview at all. Now it's not cruising and
here we go. Kates is going to try to give
(01:02):
them no not.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Jo Jo jo Jo mas Let's se jo jo jo
jojo mass jo jo jo jo Jo.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Do mass But you know no. Nomarra was with a
friend of mine, Fredy, when somebody told him to pick
up the pace at Old Ranch and Fredy threatened his
life and his children's lives. Wow, that's a true story.
He was reprimanded and still has the letter on file
at the club. All right, but you know, you win
(01:30):
the US Open, you play on the Ryder Cup team,
you rally on a Sunday during a singles match to
nearly capture the cup back, people are going to get
excited to talk to you.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
So what's this situation? Okay, okay, I'll wait a minute.
Let's see I've worked it up. Two words, fine, right now.
It took a long time getting ready to exist. Petersting
Money Show Live for our final hour, getting a little
loose with it at Dodger Stadium Live in the suite.
(01:59):
We have some sponsors walking into their placards and checking
their area.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
The Daniel seat.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yeah, well, the Daniel jeweler guy threw me out of
my seat and then he threw his sweatshirt down, you know,
like throwing down a gauntlet like it's the old days
like it's the the night. Oh, joining us right now?
Is up there in the suite holding it down, James,
Jason Spaun, what's crackings? Don you know the Petrosen Money
Show on amp by seventy KLA. If you don't, it's
(02:26):
no big deal. We love your san dimas high school
football rules. That's right, and we are proud of you
and you represent the Dodgers and great American golf. Thank
you for joining us right now and just talk a
little bit about your experience down here.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Having a good time.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Yeah, I mean, I couldn't imagine a better way to
kind of cap off my season, my year to come
here and watch a Division Series game hopefully get those
brooms out tonight.
Speaker 6 (02:50):
But yeah, it's been it's been an honor.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
You know.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
I got to hang out with Dave a little bit
on the on the field, and uh.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
We're just soaking it all in. We're having a good time.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
David Vassy or Dave Robert Dave Rock doc doc Well
you know they're both a big deal.
Speaker 6 (03:04):
Yes they are.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I see pretty cool sweatshirt your friends got on here,
like we all predict you.
Speaker 6 (03:08):
Uh we want to see your sweater.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yeah, exactly. He's got a sweatshirt that says, like we
all predicted holding one of the most.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
In animate right. Oh, that's like like an AI.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's like it almost just like an AI photo of you,
although you know, pretty strong resemblances. Comment, but I'll take
it absolutely, absolutely beautiful. What a year for you man?
Pretty all?
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (03:30):
Yeah, it's been incredible.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
It's not an easy sport. It's not an easy thing
to do. Would oh yeah, they say it. I got
a battle lot of demons, you know, to get a
victory like that. But give us an idea of, you
know that the road to get there and what it's
like to exhale putting a major on your resume.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Yeah, like you said, it's not an easy sport. I've
been at this for you know, about a decade. It
is my ninth year on the PJA Tour, and uh
it's it's such a fickle sport where you never know
when greatness is around the corner, honestly, and uh I
I've been playing great all year, had a lot of
really close calls to some big events and it was
just almost like a fairy tale where it all kind
(04:07):
of blossomed at the US open, and uh, just so
happy to have another opportunity this year to win such
a big event and actually close it out. So you know,
it just goes back to years of hard work and
having the right team and family support behind me to
make these dreams come true.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Did you know that you were going to be here
tonight or did you have to like, h like to
talk to somebody or like, what is how does it
work when you're a professional golf star and you want
to go to a Dodger game?
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Do you, oh, you not have your pr call their pr?
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Like?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
How does that work out?
Speaker 1 (04:42):
No?
Speaker 3 (04:43):
I was coming.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
I bought tickets. I'm like, I'm not I'm not letting
anything hang in the air. I'm I'm booking my seats tonight.
Once that wild card was was punched, that ticket was punched,
I was like, I'm going to be here game three,
Uh to cheer on the boys in Blue.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Did you make a run with them last year in
the World Series? Did you come to game? Did you
travel at all? Go see him?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
What was I like?
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Unfortunately I didn't.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
I was actually in Japan playing a tournament in Japan
when when Freddy hit that that home run, and No,
I was on the course, but I was falling on
my phone.
Speaker 6 (05:13):
I was on a tenth pole. Never forget very professional.
You know, I've been playing in the middle of a
PGA Tour event.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
I'm like, crap. Uh, you know, they's like two outs
or something. Uh, and uh, you know, I had to
go hit my shot. So I put my phone back,
my bag, hit my shot, put it out, go to
the green.
Speaker 6 (05:31):
I saw final game over.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
I don't remember the score, but we won, and I
was freaking out and I just I think I'm bogied.
The next couple holes out just so freaking much adrenaline.
So everything was a just snapped everything. I was at Bethpage.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
We worked with the Chargers, so we were off playing
the Giants, so we cruised out to Bethpage on Saturday. Uh.
I know it wasn't the greatest day, but just what
an incredible environment experience. The fact the rally on Sunday
was just stupid. Yeah, kind of walk as through, you
know what that's like. And because it's an individuals of sport,
but it's like the coolest team event in all of
(06:06):
team sports totally. You know.
Speaker 6 (06:08):
It was my first Ryder Cup just to be just
to be on a team.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Keeth and Bradley, our captain, made such a big deal
what an honor it is and how hard it was
to make that team, to kind of make us realize
what we've accomplished. But throughout the week, it was just
it was so much fun being in a team atmosphere. Uh,
week in and week out, we're all on our own
we have our own coach, our own physios, whatever we're doing.
Speaker 6 (06:32):
We're all kind of isolated on and off the course.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
So you know, to go from bus rides to team
dinners to you know, you know, being there for each
other whether things didn't go our way, it was it
was a different it was a different vibe for sure,
and I really relished that and and looking back, it
was definitely one of the top moments of my life
playing professional golf, and what an honor it was to
(06:56):
be along the alongside those guys and to represent the
United States, of course was a huge honor.
Speaker 6 (07:02):
But uh, especially at that course like Yeah, New York,
Beth Page.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
Uh, we emphasized a lot how the working man kind
of plays there every day and waits at three in
the morning just to get a tea time, and you know,
we just we gave our best, We fought really hard.
We we made things interesting on Sunday, and uh, you know,
at the end of the day, we just we just
got beat by a really good European team.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
JJ spond chopping it up in the background.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Did you hear what he just said?
Speaker 3 (07:30):
What did he say? What you wanted to? That's right?
Speaker 7 (07:37):
Sorry, you had to slum it with these guys, you know,
they get starstruck. Yeah, we're having a good It's great
to see you in person. Thanks, you too, follow each
other and I g he called in after he won
his big tournament.
Speaker 6 (07:49):
So yeah, awesome that. You gotta make time for the Dodgers.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
I gotta make time for David.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
JJ.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
You thank you.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah, you guys, get back to it. I just what second, Dave,
You're We're not done. We're going to you next.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
Dave, You're next. You're up next.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
JJ.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
You represent the area so well.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
You represent San Dimas, you represent the United States, you
represent Filipino Americans right everywhere, which we are your tagala
show of record.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Here, Matt and I a couple of white guys.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
That chick can tell.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
But but when was the last time you put on
your full Aztec Regalia and went down to San Diego State.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
They're having a heck of a year in football this year. Yeah,
they are.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
It's been a while. I do take a little victory
lap tour every time I play the Farmer's Insurance down
to Torrey Pines. I love to kind of drive by
my old hood and see if my old you know,
college house.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Is still there, and it is.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
It hasn't fallen.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yeah, exactly has been burnt to the ground, but yeah,
everything's still there and it's grown so much. But yeah,
I'd love to get to some Aztec games for sure.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
All right, don't get you out of here, Ja, don't
tell Matt you're a Raider fan.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
I gotta go hit some VP.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Sorry, go get them there you go.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
That was awesome, Thank you very much. Time now for
David Mass with an inside. This is the Mass Report
with David Maassi.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Yet alongside Tony Gwynnet Marshall fall. The twenty twenty five
US Open Golf champion, JJ Spahn is one of the
greatest astexts of all time.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Pingle Are kept him for like thirty minutes and then
he was like showing him some video. We're like, come on, dude,
let's freaking go.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, you got to move people along.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
Yeah, it's like, come on, man, Bringer gives this local
TV guys a little bit too much rope, Yeah, a
little too much.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Brenter, thanks for coming up and eating our carrots. Ten
bucks apiece. It's David Masse Love Dave, our Dodger reporter,
Spectrum Sports Net, MLB Network. But our conduit, our key
to the Dodgers. That opens up the boys in Blue,
and we are grateful to Dave. Just overall, Dave, the
(09:53):
vibe down there, you've been doing this for a while,
the vibe around the team. You were at the workout
last night, Pershawn joined you. We played some of the
highlights from that. What's going on? Yeah, a couple of things.
Speaker 7 (10:05):
Everybody is still in disbelief that the Phillies are starting
Aaron Nola. A lot of people can't believe that, even
some with the Dodgers, but they'll take it and say
thank you very much. I don't expect Nola to be
in this game for very long. Ranger Suarez is lurking,
and you know, here's an angle that nobody's talked about.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Let's get it.
Speaker 7 (10:24):
I can't believe the Phillies would not pitch Walker Buehler
in this game instead of Aaron Nola, who has not
had a very good season. Walker Buehler at Dodgers Stadium
against his old team. You're telling me he wouldn't channel
everything he had to pitch.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
The game of his life.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
It's a good thing you're not working for him. I'm
with you.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (10:44):
So, I mean this is all set up for the
Dodgers to close this out tonight.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
What could the Dodgers have protested the Philly Blues. Could
they have said, no, we're not letting them put on
their fancy uniforms that look so freaking sweet in the
game three. Don't wear their road rays like gold. How
would that work? No, it's a major League baseball It
does look freaking great. It's a major league baseball call.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
And I love it too.
Speaker 7 (11:08):
I mean, this brings me back to when the Dodgers
beat them in the seventy seven and seventy eight Championship Series.
So I know the players went to their manager and said,
we want to wear these, but it's not like they
have some freaking magic. It's still Aaron Nola wearing that uniform.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Dave, we talked about it. We talked about it earlier,
and what about that blue magic if? If it is,
if Nola is to pitch to his numbers zero and
six with a seven era on the road. The Dodgers
built a little something up, did a little vibe in here.
If twenty two comes out of the bullpen right well
last night, do you think that's a possibilit Yeah, it's
a very good possibility.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
I really do.
Speaker 7 (11:45):
I believe that Kershaw could be the bridge from Yamamoto
to Sasaki seventh, eighth, and then Sasaki gets the ninth,
especially if you know they've used a lot of their
left handed hitters. Kershaw's better against righty's this year, so
I could see that, and him on the show last
night sounded like he was he had his mind that
(12:10):
he was going to be pitching tonight. So it feels
like Kershaw wants a piece of this game and he
may very well get it.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
So the last three outs in a safe situation, you
believe goes back to Sasaki.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
Yes, because the Dodgers are up to to oh, they
would not pull the trigger on Otani closing out the game,
especially when you're playing with house money and it's not
even the World Series, World Series situation, close out game
more of a greater possibility, not something like this.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
What about Miguel Rojas, Dave, was he heard on that
tag play with Trey Turner?
Speaker 3 (12:45):
How's he doing?
Speaker 7 (12:46):
He was he was hurt, They said, left hamstring strain.
It looked like he injured the right side of his
chest on the collision. So he told me he's much
better today than he was even feeling yesterday and is
available to come off the bench in any capacity. But
I would imagine in a defensive replacement situation.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
We talked about Otani's one for nine, said it kind
of lines up where this could end up being like
a three for four, four for four. He gets out
of the series hitting two eighty or something like that
and looks like Otani numbers. But how have they managed
to keep Trey Turner, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Shober two
for twenty one shober Over with five strikeouts well number one.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
The way Snell was pitching and his history against Shoarber
speaks for itself. Right, Otani was really good against Shoreber two.
They were busting him inside with a lot of fastballs,
not allowing him to extend his arms.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
So that's part of it. Same with Harper.
Speaker 7 (13:41):
They're pitching Shorber and Harper a lot differently, so Harper
may be trying to get some intel while he's on deck,
but they're going a different round against him. As far
as the Dodgers and Otani hitting, you got to give
the Philly starters a lot of credit. Sanchez and Luzardo
are really tough on lefties, and Tony's a He's not
(14:01):
superhuman all the time, not.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Like you, David Massey superhuman every single time.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
US Open champ was all geeked to meet him.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Well, who is all right, David mass Are you all
ready for another big uh celebration tonight?
Speaker 3 (14:18):
How does that? How does that work tonight? Well, if
if it happened.
Speaker 7 (14:21):
It's awkward because I'm wearing a Dodger polo that was
given to me by the team when I do sports
in at LA games, and I gotta be honest with you,
if this shirt gets ruined, I don't really care. And
it was free, so that's why I'm wearing it. I
don't just stride around every day with a Dodger logo
on the left side of my polo.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
But this is a Champagne Champagne attire, but Dodger shoes on.
Speaker 7 (14:47):
No, These pandas have been through two Champagne celebrate sandas.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
That's what they call the the low top.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
We wear the nikes.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
The nikes, yes, be dunks or something like that. Yes,
there you go. The pand is black and white is
what he's wearing. And you can see the leather's been weathered.
The leather has been weathered.
Speaker 7 (15:03):
I dried him out in the backyard. They're ready to
go again. This belt from Travis Matthew also has been
through it.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
So what about the black jeans?
Speaker 3 (15:11):
The jeans I did jeans.
Speaker 7 (15:16):
I didn't believe these jeans would make it through, but
I soaked them in the sink with water courtesy of
Rick Monday tip okay, and put them in the washer
and they survived another day.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Wonderful Page Page jeans. May they be douched again? Davey's
the Magic Johnson jeans?
Speaker 1 (15:32):
No?
Speaker 7 (15:32):
Oh, maybe he wears Yeah, yeah, he wears Page. Oh
you mean the Grand Marshall the twenty six Rose Parade.
Magic Johnson. I did not know that was announced today.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Maybe they'll announce you as one of the commentators. Oh,
they got magic. It is the Grand Marshall me drive
that car. Oh, you could drive the car exactly right.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Hold on Magics, the new Bob You Banks, David mass Sight, Dave,
have a great night and thank you. We'll have Marongo
Casino Dodgers on deck coming up right at five o'clock
six oh eight. First pitch from Dodger Stadium. Yoshinobu Yamamoto
and Aaron Nola is the pitching matchup. But you might
(16:12):
see Kershaw and you might see that Ranger Suarez guy
as well.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Matter you gonna come back up or you just come
back up?
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Yeah, it seems like it's really emptied out everybody for
whatever reason. It's just like all right, we're calling it.
So I'm gonna all as us up there. Well, you've
done some great get back to the suite. Yeoman's work.
Will do me fur fun fact. We'll do the uh
fun fact and we'll have quick hits. There we go.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
In the very next segment, it's Pettersen Money Live from
Dodger Stadium on AMPI seventy. LA Sports, your home of

who will be defeated tonight, Yamamoto versus NOLA. A big
thank you to JJ Spawn, Steve Garvey, PA Brian Anderson
calling the game tonight on TBS. What a fruitful second
hour because of Matt Smith and Tim Kates's willingness to
(17:37):
go down and fight in the media scrum in front
of the Dodger dugout.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
It's a beautiful night.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
First pitch from the Gallpin Motors Broadcast booth is at
six oh eight. Kate's had to punk Pingolore.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Did it get that man?
Speaker 4 (17:53):
Dude?
Speaker 2 (17:53):
He talked to him for like ten minutes and then no,
it's longer than that. It was longer than ten minutes.
And then when we were off to talk to him,
he was like, hold on a second, and he like
showed him some video on his phone.
Speaker 6 (18:02):
Yeah, I don't know what that was about. That he
wanted his number.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Yeah, so really they got his number, you know, King
the Lord tried to get Spawn's number. Well, it's okay, dude,
it's freaking spots. It on the US Open, it's on
the Ryder Cup. It's freaking move Hey.
Speaker 8 (18:17):
Buddy, text me to say tell him thanks for showing up,
because nobody else did.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
At the Ryder Cup, a lot of people were happy
they had spat on. Buddy.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Text a buddy of mine.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
All right, it is time for the final hour fund fact.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
Fact, Yeah, we're three.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
But what are several Olympic athletes, former NFL players, and
many of the best college and high school coaches across
the nation have in common? They are graduates and current
students in Concordia University Year Ends Masters in Coaching and
Athletics Administration program. Found out more at CUI dot edu
slash coaching. Why do we call a young or I
shouldn't say why? I don't know? Oh, I actually I
(18:53):
do know. Why Why can I call it young?
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Fact?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Yeah? Young female horse of Philly. Uh, it is spelled
differently than the Phillies with a ploy, but still a
Philly old Norse p the language of the Vikings called
female horses philia, and as it moved through Europe it
eventually became philly. And if you are keeping score at
home and want to get your horse terminology right, a
(19:15):
full is a horse male or female under a year.
A year lean is a horse male or female between
the age of one and two. A colt is a
male horse under the age of four, and a philly
a female horse under the age of four.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
That's great horse information, man, I'm ahoy, and it's not
even I'm a horse Monday. Great stuff? Was it as
good as our hour two with JJ spawn David Vasse
and Steve Garvey and ba I'm not sure, but we.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Have had a heck of a show thus far. It
is time now really holding it down up here. We've
got a lot of people moving around here.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Yeah, it's a whole thing up here because it's the NLDS.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Brother.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
If we're getting here early, man, first pitch another hour
and a half away, Daniels Jewelers, doesn't mess around.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
No, it's time for quickeasms quick heads.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
I'll make it quick, y'all.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
Oh yeah, Dodgers with the two to oh series lead
NLDS Game three is coming up.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Is there anything that we haven't said?
Speaker 4 (20:19):
I mean, we expect to see Clayton Kershaw, We expect
to see Rajers Suarez. Is there anything any insurance anything
we haven't discussed up.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
To this moment.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Harrison Bader working on that hammy in the outfield. He
was grabbing one of the coach's asses as he was
showing him where the hammy was pinching, and he went
way there. He went through that field workout. He then
took a little bit of BP. But I'm gonna say
he's moving around like a guy that probably is not
going to be out there save a pinch hit situation.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
All right, Well, there'll be a lot of arguments on
Philadelphia television, radio and podcasts that we will try to
find if that comes to cruation. The Chargers travel to
mid me on Sunday to take on the Dolpholds. That
means Matt Smith will be with him, just like he
was with him in New York when he went to
see the Ryder Cup and jj'spond. The Chargers look to
(21:09):
snap a two game losing streak. Whoa and times have
been hard for the Chargers, but they are pretty beat.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Up, Matt, Yeah, they are, and they're trying to resolve
some of those issues, trading for Odafe Oway. The starting
edge had eleven sacks last year in Baltimore to fill
the gap that k has been there from Khalil Mack.
The absence of Khalil Mack, they just signed Nahem Hines,
so probably gonna add him to the backfield without a
Mari and Hampton who was put on ir and I
(21:35):
would assume there could be even more moves made this
week as they are on their fourth and fifth tackles
and their third and fourth and fifth now running back,
so suspect something else is going to happen there.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
The Rams travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens
on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
The Ravens a dangerous team, a desperate team.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
We'll see what happens with the Ram and after the game,
they're going to stay in Baltimore and flying to London
to take on the Jaguars.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
They're not coming home for week No.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
When we went to London, they stayed in Cleveland. Glorious.
The Rams stay in Baltimore, glorious before they make their
way to the London game. International schedule continues to expand.
Remember next year, the rams are going to be in Australia,
so doing London this year, Australia next year. And the
(22:26):
Jackson they let you move to La right, you got
to go where they tell you exactly right, p ESPN
analyst You Kates were talking about this at length earlier.
Dan Orlofsky was one of these guys posted video breakdowns
on x on Mondays after the NFL games. It turns
out the video he was using is not allowed and
(22:49):
he had to take them all down, and then he
kind of bitched about it.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
Former Pettersen Money guest dan Orlofsky in a little bit
of hot water with the league in ESPN. I don't understand, you.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Know, he does it.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
He does the is. They like to call him the
exo every day on NFL Live. So I assume he
just figured he could apply that to his social media.
But he was taking it off of his personal computer
and it looked like he was logged into NFL Pro,
which is a premium that anybody can pay for it,
so you can pay for that the year, and then
you get I think you I don't know if you
(23:21):
can post it.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
You can't.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
I guess you can't, and that's what he learned.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
But it's odd.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
I would assume or Lofsky has access to NFL films
and their giant library of all those plays. So for
him to do it through that on his personal computer
maybe the reason why he got in trouble. So maybe
he'll be back with those breakdowns moving forward. He'll just
have to get the video from a different source. Well, well,
I do without your Lobsky breakdown. I got two words
for you, fualdy breakdowns.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
Okay, UCLA one and four, one and one in the
Big ten. A lot of momentum though, traveling to East
Lands and to take on Michigan State, who've lost a
couple in a row. Nine am Pacific time kickoff. I
don't know if that'll be a point of conversation at
Spartan Stadium.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
I don't know. Maybe Lincoln Riley will went away in
on that.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
He might.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
I feel so bad for UCLAM to kick that ball
off at nine am.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Eight and a half point home favorites are the Spartans
Thinking of Lincoln Riley, he is complaining about a holding
call from a game that was two weeks ago that
his team lost despite taking a lead.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
With two minutes left.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
Stuck in my cra and despite Illinois having fumbled twice
in the end zone, one of those fumbles not a fumble,
but Lincoln Riley still felt the urge to complain about
a hole. Hey, USC's four and one, two and one
of the Big ten. Some might argue that UCLA has
(24:47):
more momentum. We'll see, though they're at home versus Michigan
on Saturday afternoon. The coliseum is going to be sold out,
and the Trojans are a two and a half point
home favorite over Michigan, and they're young, inexperienced, yet very
talented cornerback.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
How about deciding at least it's sold out, it's gonna
be high energy, a lot of juice in the building. Good,
even if it is a bunch of Michigan fans feel
like it's been a minute.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Right, well game?
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Yeah, yeah, you know, a Notre Dame UCLA. That's the
kind of thing that sells out the coliseum. It should
sell out every week if USC football is up and
run it and it's not even as big as it
used to be, but that's what it is right now.
The Stanford football program received a fifty million dollar gift
from a former player from the sixties to help revive
(25:38):
its program. They were called the Indians back then. The
donation comes from a player named Bradford M. Freeman who
graduated in nineteen sixty four, and he's been a major
donor for decades. If you've never seen the old Stanford
Indians' mascot or logo, you were doing yourself a great discservice.
(26:00):
That is who this guy, Freeman used to play for
the Stanford Indians. And Matt there's bad Belichick news out there.
We brought this up, I feel like on the show.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
According to The Guardian, Bill Belichick is said to have
discussed his exit plans with North Carolina is even willing
to trigger his own one million dollar buyout should he
find a better alternative with another team or return to
the media. Apparently, members of his staff already getting ready
to flee. Some have already reached out the programs that
(26:33):
are expected to make it to the college football playoffs
about potential roles. The report added. Staffers have predicted that
the overhaul could come in the next two weeks, one
saying quote, the Rats are leaving the ship.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
I could not have imagined that this would go so
badly for Bell Belichick at North Carolina. I mean, I
know he's got the young girlfriend and it was a
little bit of a side show, but this is a
guy that knows exactly how to coach football. I mean,
this is a Hall of Fame coach, arguably one of
the greatest football coaches of all time, maybe the greatest
pro football coach ever, like Vince Lombardi level in.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
The ACC It's not like he's in the SEC facing
Georgia CC is getting killed by Central Florida, right and
he's getting blown out thirty eight nothing after one quarter
for twenty eight nothing at the end of one quarter.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
So a very precarious situation.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Really loud, right, yeah, I got really.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Really I don't know.
Speaker 8 (27:29):
We went a great day, guess, but you're talked about
rats and ships. We do have Craig here. If you
need an expert on rats, good point, as they leave ships.
Good point and what that's all about.
Speaker 4 (27:38):
Well, I would imagine like it would be a raccoon
or a rat or any animal you know, trying to get.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Out to say.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Craig could comment on that if you need it. Is
it necessary, No, just's out there.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
I've had our final story.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
The Quick Kits is not Bill Belichick related, and we
will be watching Bill Belichick to see what happens.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
The nca LI said today Division one administrative idiot and
Drew introduced a proposal that would allow schools to sell
advertising space on their uniforms for games not during NCAA Championships. Currently,
the only logos allowed on school uniforms are the logos
of the uniform manufacturer.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
Well, yeah, I mean, you know, Michigan, that's one of
the crazy things since Michigan's coming to town.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
I'll never forget.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Yeah, I went to the University of Michigan to do
a game at the Big House, and I had played
at Notre Dame Stadium. But being there, you look around
the stadium and there's a real lack of advertising. There
is nothing. There is absolutely nothing. There's just an m
and maybe they have some advertising on the big screen
while they're doing timeouts and things like that. But it
(28:45):
was seriously a very very naked lady. But that they
had the jumpman on the jersey. Now you know, they
could have tinder or something on the jersey bumble and
even grinder jadate. It was to stop anybody, and you know,
usc has always had a bunch of advertising at the
Coliseum Dodger Stadium when the O'Malley's sold it to Fox,
(29:10):
they always had the seventy six and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
But that's changed a lot. I mean you see all
the advertising.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Oh yoh Jin ro security benefit, Yakul justin. I mean,
he's just thanks for not mentioning yamabah. We are a
Morongo show, yes, so glad we didn't.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
Very interesting kind of machinations in the NC double as
everybody is striving and stretching and moving to make more money.
And that's part of the reason you're not seeing guys
like James Franklin fired right away or guys like Lincoln
Riley fired right away, because you have to pay players.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
You have to have money.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
You can't just come up with ninety million dollars to
pay one of these guys off and move forward. But
very interesting stuff in the NC double a. But the
most important thing is Dodger Stadium tonight and the Dodgers
versus the Phillies. Once those in stadium mcs start taking
(30:11):
over Matt they really kind of hurt the Petros and
Money show.
Speaker 8 (30:14):
Just an idea because I'm the idea guy around here,
you don't have to necessarily, you know, advertise on football.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
We don't have the budget for that.
Speaker 8 (30:21):
But what if the Petros Money Show advertised like on
UCLA water Apolo put like the PMS logo on the
speed of women or men.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Do we have underwater cameras? Because if it's on the
speedo and it says PMS on a speedo, I'm gonna
want to see that poost underwater.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Well, we have to be money show. We don't want
people to be confused.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
A fair point. You know they're nationally they will have
to read Petro's like right across the ass Petros and
Money Show.
Speaker 8 (30:42):
Or UCLA Golf which is very successful, you know, is
it televised online? But you know the guy's teeing off
with the PMS hat on.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Right.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
You look what the Strouss don, Matt, you interviewed that CEO.
I mean, look what the Strouss has done for major bons.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Doing the commercials they're in now.
Speaker 8 (30:59):
Yep, right, just an idea, Petro, some money doesn't have
to be football or basketball, for.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Baseball, field hockey.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Yeah, it's funny different since our billboard days are over,
this seems like kind of.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
A frog or like lead. It's like a seven year
run of us having billboards seems to come to a
crashing hole the last decade.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Who needs billboards when you've already established yourself fair as
great sports talk? You're smooch to Yamamoto versus Aaron Nola.
But we might see some other pitchers. We most likely
will see some other pitchers, but not Otani. To close
it out, David Massey says, this isn't the World Series
and the Dodgers already have a series lead. Will the
(31:41):
Phillies Powder Blues have anything to do with some momentum
their way. We're gonna have to wait and see, but
we're not far away from it. First pitch about an
hour and ten minutes away the Petrosen Money Show on
AM five seventy LA Sports giving way to Tim Kaits
and Marongo Casino Dodgers on deck. We'll say goodbye to
the next segment live from a bustling Dodger stadium as
(32:04):
things are really starting to get cracking in the suite
and beyond.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Hello, PMS listener, did you know AM five seventy LA
Sports has a wide range of LA Sports podcasts. There's
Rogan and Rodney.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
That one is my favorite. Dodger Talk with.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
David Vassei, the Dodger Podcast of record, Clipper Talk Without
a Muscle, follow us all and many more. Just go
to Am five to seventy LA Sports on the iHeartRadio WIP.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Personally.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
Coming to an end is the one and only Petro
Send Money Show Live from Dodger Stadium. Tim Kaits with
Marongo Casino Dodgers on Deck coming up next. It got
really loud with the PA and stuff about a half
hour ago, but what a show we had. We talked
to Bartender Brad in the first hour. In the second hour,
(33:01):
we talked to BA Brian Anderson calling the game tonight
on TBS Night, and then we talked to JJ Spawn,
the winner of the US Open. He just competed in
the Ryder Cup that Matt was at. And then we
talked to Vassay. We talked to Steve Garvey in there
as well. Everything could be podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
(33:22):
A great deal of anticipation as things are about to
get cracking here at Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Matt a very different vibe from the Wildcard round.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
No doubt, especially down on the field and look you
want to close this thing out. As we talked to
Steve Garvey, a guy that knows a little bit of
something about playing your best in the most crucial moments
of a season, particularly a postseason. Brian Anderson just kind
of hearkening back to the conversations we had that he
detailed p telling us, you know how this is a
(33:52):
completely different Dodger team than he saw calling games for
the Brewers in the regular season, and how they look
as formidable is any bunch in all of Major League Baseball.
It's been a lot of fun. And David Bassey said
he thinks, based on Clayton Kershaw's tone when he called
him last night on Dodger Talk, that he's going to
be pitching today, So get ready for that moment.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
I'm ready.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
And a big thank you to Tim Kats, our executive
producer who is the host of Scam.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
You'll hear him tomorrow morning at six am. Win or Lose,
Rayner Shine Times Slot Terror with Steve some Sacks, the
Saxon Dancer Time Slot Terrorists, Dan Patrick.
Speaker 8 (34:33):
Oh it feels weird, right, I don't want to say it, Adam,
how about I'm not a terrorist?
Speaker 4 (34:36):
How about I'm just doing my job like time slot taker,
our engineer Craig, and then you're Ronnie Fossil back at
the station. At Ronnie Fossil, he'll post the playlist. Big
time Dodger fan doing a great job holding it down.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
How's that fruit plate looking over there?
Speaker 3 (34:53):
A little beat up? Yeah, Brian Blackmore hung in the
whole show.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
Dave Weeese so social, Matt from social media, Matt and Becky,
we really appreciate everybody being part of it.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
We started the show with sixteen bags of Lais kettle.
We currently have sixteen bags of Lays kettle cooks.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Waste of four hundred dollars. It really is and we'll
be back on tomorrow, but we're not sure when. If
the Dodgers win, it'll be two o'clock before Thursday Night Football.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
Have a great night, everybody,
