Speaker 1 (00:00):
And we continue on on a Monday afternoon, Rodney pet
Fred Rogan and we will we are, I believe we're
gonna take your calls and just kind of get an
opinion about what you think about Game three. And also
we didn't we didn't touch on this, Fred, and we

(00:21):
touched on the team and the players and all that stuff.
Otani playing today, talked a little bit about what that
would Bill Plunkett last hour. Go back and listen to
the interview on the app if you can. It was
a good a good interview with Bill. What do you think, Fred?
Do you think that O'tani should play tonight or should
not play tonight?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
If he can go, he plays. That's how I look
at it. If he can go, he plays, You're not.
He's not gonna get hurt any worse. It's just pain tolerance,
pain management. And if he says I can go, he's going.
And by the way, Rodney, look at it like this,
I'm gonna throw this back on you for a second.
You're playing, all right, you get dinged, whatever that injury is,

(01:04):
you now know it's just gonna be pain tolerance, all right.
We know it's not gonna get worse. You're gonna tell
them I'm sitting. You're gonna tell them I'm going in.
I'm going in.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Do you have to carry me out? And you know
you would do that. Yeah, there's no way you would sit. Yeah, yeah,
you know. I look the way we what we've heard
and what they've said, and what you know, you know,
people going into this, and if that's the case, that
is just you know, pain tolerance. And he popped it
back in and and and all is good. And the

(01:39):
only downside is that if something happens again, it could
pop out again. And I know that, you know kind
of firsthand. I got two digits on my fingers that
if I hit the wall the wrong way or touch
something the wrong way, they dislocate. And it's very easy
for them to dislocate. And I pull it out and
and all is good. The question is it's point in

(02:00):
the offseason will he have to have some surgery on
that to kind of strengthen it up, and that that
is to be determined. But absolutely right, frett if if
I'm not risking something that gets put me out for
two years or really you know that I have surgery
that's gonna really you know, damage me going forward. I'm

(02:21):
risking that and I can't hurt it worse. Absolutely, I'm
in there playing.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Right, You're gonna play, He's gonna play. And look at
all like this, you go, well, you know, might effect
is hitting. Well, he's not been turning the cover off
the ball, so how bad is it gonna affect it?
You know? And maybe he gets hot, Maybe this is
the moment. Here's the thing with the Dodger lineup. Anybody
at any moment can get hot. Ask Freddy Freeman. He'll

(02:50):
tell you anybody at any moment. And that's why it's
such a daunting task now to pitch to them.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, but you say he's not been in to cover
out the ball. Doesn't because he's at the top of
the lineup. And we all know and and and one
series or two series is not going to take away
from what teams think about him and how they approach
him and how fearful they are of him getting getting
a hit or hitting a home run to start the
game or lead off in any and and by the way,

(03:19):
he did drill one off the top of the wall
last game, So you know, he's still that tremendous threat.
And you still have to worry about him, and so
him being in the lineup, even not at full strength,
is a good thing for the Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
By the way, when you had your fingers dislocated, yeah,
they had to pop back in right. Yeah, Okay, how
painful is that? Initially the first time?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
It's painful, But you know now, I mean, like I said,
I'd go reach for the door, and if I misguide
my hand and I hit it straight on, then it's
my middle fingers and they will dislocate and they'll pop out,
and it'll be like the form looking and I show
it to my kids, and I tease my kids and

(04:07):
all that stuff, and my wife and all that. They're
all nasty, you know, creeped out. But the first time
I did one, I was I remember it distinctly, and
we were playing in Jacksonville. I was in Philly and
through a path, got hit, went down, tried to brace
my fall, finger got caught under knee, dislocated it. It

(04:27):
was crooked pointing to the left, and I went to
the huddle, you know, try to get ready for the
next play. And I was like, God, one of you
guys got pulled my finger. I pulled my finger, pull
it out, pull it out, pull it out, because it
was it was that when you do it initially, it
does hurt.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
It really does hurt.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
And as they pull it out, and these three hundred
and thirty pound linemen that was in front of me
in the huddle, not one of them would touch my finger,
not one of them, and.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Not the running back, not even they were They all
looked at it.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
And one of them almost threw up because they looked
at my finger, and the other guy was like, I
am not touching it.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Oh no, hell no, heo.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
We had to call time out because none of those
guys would pull my finger out of socket. Had to
call time out to get the trainer on to pull
my finger out. He taped it real quick, and I
stayed in the game.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
What did he say when he saw it?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
He had say He's like, oh, you just look at
your finger. Let me let me pull it. Just turn
your head turn, turn your head, turn your head, turn
your head, turn your head. Boom, and then you know
it's It swells up a little bit and they they
tape it, do a little figure a tape on it,
and it's good.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
It's good.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
It hurts, you know, for a few days after that
and swelling goes down, and you're good. But the problem
with that is that every little thing after that, his fingers.
You don't really go repair, you know, surgically repair a
finger if it's dissipated, But every little thing after that
it pops out. So after that, it would happen all
the time. And I just do it myself. I just
pull it, pull it myself.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Oh my god. All right, let's go to the phone
lines after that. Un happiness. Uh well, let's see if
he's drinking already. Jona and Virginia on the app. Come on, Gino.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Thank you, gentlemen, Thank you, gentlemen. I love you, guys.
Can I go on a little extra, A couple of
second sextra I'm not doing. I'm gonna drink one after
I leave you, guys. That's all I'm happy, I said.
Dodgers and six it might be a sweep. All my
Yankee friends over here and my people in California are

(06:30):
telling me, oh, it's a Gibson thing, and I says no.
Gibson was three and two with two ELTs and two
runners on okay, Freddie Freeman was bases loaded, one hit,
one grand Slam, and one more thing. Can I say,
Bueler hasn't had his day off yet, and I hope

(06:51):
he doesn't take.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
It all right. Thanks Gino, thanks for your optimism, greatly appreciated.
Bueler hasn't had a day off yet, and I hope
he doesn't take it all right. Well, he's not going
to have a day off. Let's be positive, you know,
let's be positive. All right, Let's go Joe and Joe
appreciate you holding go.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Ahead, Rodney fight on a long time.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Thank you, guys. I'm probably one of the oddball callers
you're getting. I'm a Giants fan married to a Dodger family,
and what I'm witnessing is something that I saw with
my Giants sweeping Detroit, and I truly believe as a
baseball fan. First, you guys can sweep the Yankees. Everything
is going for you guys, your bullpin, your five, six,

(07:32):
seven egg hitters.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
It's incredible, and especially seeing something that I've never seen
in my whole lifetime. So the grand Slam from Freddie Freeman,
then hating another grand slam Tommy Edmunds doing an amazing job.
You can deny it, you can't hate on it. You
just got to respect the game of baseball, and it's
pretty remarkable seeing what I'm seeing right now. And Giants fan,

(07:56):
you say, look, I'm gonna tell you how it all went.
You're a Giants fan, right, big time Berry Bonds fan.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, so you remember, you remember when they faced the
Tigers in Verlander, when they had the pitching staff and
the panda went deep three times. It was just it
was a Giants moment. It's a Giants moment. I feel
the same way about the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
You gotta you gotta respect it. You guys are on fire,
it's hot, everything's going well for you. You guys are
seeing the ball like a beach ball, and it's it's remarkable.
Do I like them?

Speaker 1 (08:34):
No?

Speaker 4 (08:34):
But you know what, I'm not dumb. I'm gonna realize
when you guys are on fire and you guys have momentum,
and I really think you guys could sleep because I
honestly thought it was gonna be in six. But after
seeing how how the momentum is going for you guys,
you could truly, truly, truly, truly sweep them right.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Appreciate it, Joe. Thanks for the call, Jerry and Attwater Villa. Jerry,
you were there night one.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
Right, I was there night one, I was there night two.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
So you must have sold your house to form in
the ticket, so you love it in your cargo, right.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Well, so here it is.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Well.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
I liked what you guys said earlier about the memories. Right,
I was on the fence. I already was going. I
was on the fence with taking my son. My son's
a basketball guy. But I thought about being a little
kid jumping on the couch in eighty one, and remember
my dad. I lived down the street from Dodger Stadium,
and my dad opened the door and was a loud

(09:31):
yeller and whistler when the Dodgers would win. And I
was jumping on the couch screaming, but I don't know
what I was screaming for. Was just doing it because
he was doing it. Fast forward to Friday, my Dad's
passed away. So I thought, man, I want to take
my son to experience something like that, you know. So
we're in the stadium and the whole LCS. I kept

(09:51):
telling people because I went to all the LCS games
except one. I went to the DS games, and I
told everybody no game at Dodgers was as loud as
Game five. Against San Diego None. I'm holding onto my
son's shoulder on Friday, and I remember thinking I took
him anyway, and I remember thinking, God, if he could

(10:11):
just experience like a walk off. I'm sitting in Low's
left field, and I just remember thinking, just let him
experience just a base hit. I was thinking the same
thing just Friday, get a base hit. And when I
seen that ball fly off that bat, I already knew,
and I just stared at the ball and I was
jumping and he was jumping, and we were screaming, and
I was more excited that he got to see that.

(10:33):
And I remember when I dropped him off at home,
I said, when I die, you make sure you tell
him about that day. So I love the memory I was.
I told him he knows I was there for twenty
eighteen Max and walk off home run. So I've got
to see some things in my life at the World Series.
And I don't want to go to Game six or seven.
I just want them to get it over with today.

(10:54):
My stomach is on a knock waiting for this game
to start.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Hey, hey, Joey, how old is your son?

Speaker 6 (11:01):
My son's twenty four?

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Oh, what a great moment. Very cool.

Speaker 6 (11:05):
But I haven't stopped. I haven't stopped like watching videos.
He's excited I got got us on video. I'm just
more excited that he got to experience that.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yeah, you're so right. Ye, you're so right, Jerry, thanks
for sharing that story. We appreciate it. All right, let's
go Hovio al ham Broke, Javier, you're related, right.

Speaker 7 (11:26):
Just what a rollercoaster of emotions just to you know,
I couldn't be there because I don't I like my
arms and I like my legs. I want to keep
them on my body. But what an experience to just
live through all of that, right, just seeing it on
TV with close family and friends and just going, like
I said, going through the motions of that. Just the
whole thing I want to say is the dogs in

(11:48):
the bullpen, the dog town. That is the bullpen they're
playing because everybody's been doubting them all year. The Dodgers
are good, but the bullpen is where we lack it.
We have we have so many injuries. Right, Well, they're
out there throwing fire, right, and I think that's what's
gonna win us the World Series. It's it's obvious at
this point we're gonna end it over there. They might
get one, but we ain't coming back to LA to

(12:10):
play games, is what I feel, because that ship on
the soldiers on their shoulders so deep in that bollten
that they're just savages. Also, kudos to Freddie Freeman everything
he's done and the you know, rough year he's had
in the last few months with you know, his kids
and stuff. But just this is a different team. You know,

(12:33):
I didn't get to experience any Dodgers championships. Right, I'm
twenty nine years old, so I've yet to see one.
Okay it you counts twenty twenty, right, whatever, But don't
do that.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Don't do that. Don't do it now.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 7 (12:46):
But but what I'm saying is it's just a different team.
The mindset is just way different this year and you
can feel it.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, a parade this year, that's the difference. Yeah, what
do you what do you say to fred the people?
I don't know if you guys have people coming to me, man, Yeah,
I'd like to see them, you know, win it and
back there, but I sure would love to see them
winning at Dodger Stadium and bring it back here to
win it here. Which means they would have to lose

(13:13):
two games there. What would I say to those people? Yeah,
shut up.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
What I would say to those people I really want
to I can predict, and I really want to see
them win it here.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
You know what that would be cool. I would really
want them to see it here. Can't they win it here? No,
they're gonna win it there. No, don't start that. Well,
you know if they just lose a couple there?

Speaker 2 (13:36):
What are you doing? This is it? There's no Well, God,
to be really sweet, No, it's not what's sweetest to
win it now right now and not put yourself in
a position where God knows what could happen and something
bizarre occurs and all of a sudden, now you don't
win it. No, be happy, be happy, happy where they're at,

(14:01):
and be happy for him to want it as soon
as possible. And Circus is in Santa Clarita and he
seems to agree what a gentleman's sweep here?

Speaker 8 (14:08):
Sarcus, Yeah, I think I think so, Fred. I mean,
I don't want him to come back to La just
because anything could happen. I don't want to see that,
but it could happen. In five I'd love to see
him sweep, but it could happen in five. But I
really want to make a comment on Juan Soto. This
wan subtle thing. You think the Dodgers are sitting around saying,

(14:30):
you know what, We're about to win a World Series.
Let's go kick the tires on want Sola. Now, this
is his agent, Scott Boris throwing garbage out there.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
We don't need wa so we need to re.

Speaker 8 (14:41):
Sign Tayo and we need to move on and maybe
get another picture. But as far as tonight goes, Walker
Bill is going to show up tonight. He's a big
game pitcher. The Yankees are the Yankees for the front
of their jersey. We play the second best team and
we beat him. The Padres were the second best team
in baseball and we beat him. The Yankees are iconic.

(15:01):
I get it, but we got this, all.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Right, thanks Sarcus, appreciate that. Yeah, I thought the Padres
were the second best team too. All right, Rick and Riverside,
you don't think it's gonna be a sweep, right?

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (15:15):
First of all, fellas like say, thank you man, you
get me through my LA drive.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 9 (15:20):
Yeah, man, you guys are Lifestais.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
This damn traffick.

Speaker 9 (15:23):
But anyways, this is my thought. Okay, everybody, I love
a sweep, but we're playing the Yankees, the second the
second best baseball team out there.

Speaker 7 (15:31):
They're built.

Speaker 9 (15:32):
I think it's gonna come down to you if you
look at the Dodgers. The Dodgers play baseball the way
it's supposed to be played. Each individual player is a professional.
They do what they've got to do. Whether we're gonna
manufacture runs, we got a driver run in, maybe go
for the fences. The Yankees they're not playing it.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Oh no, sorry, Rick, I'll go Ishan Riverside, come on.

Speaker 10 (15:57):
Ish Hey, best man. I hope you guys will been good. Fred.
I've seen some clouds out there. I think it's gonna rain.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Man.

Speaker 10 (16:04):
I am agreeing with you. I say, just get it done.
Wrap it up up there in New York. And you
know what, I have a better response if I can't,
instead of telling him to shut up, win at Dodger
Stadium next year. But yeah, Bueler, I think he's gonna
be good man. He's gonna go at least five, and yeah,
we're gonna be one game closer to to to hitting
that parade.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
You guys, all right, Bob and longbeachs, let's wrap it up.
Come on, Bob, what do you got Bobby there? Or
do we now?

Speaker 3 (16:31):
We're gonna be Now, we're gonna be done in New York.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Team Fred and not only that, I believe Freddy Freeman
should win the MVP. He has two vulcan frontires, probably
a broken ankle.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
And he is playing his behind off.

Speaker 11 (16:42):
That's what I got.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
Man, have a good one.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Okay, appreciate it. Kevin, you say we got one more? Yeah,
let's go to Felix and San Diego. All right, Felix
is down in San Diego. Come on, Felix, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Gentle?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Then Rodney fight on.

Speaker 12 (16:57):
Yeah, hey, guys, I went to Game two, third row seats, well,
third rows from third base. I got the experience of
a lot of time. Just before the seasons or the
postseason started, I called you guys and said, Dodgers in six.
But I agree with you, Fred No, no, no, no, no.
We got to wrap that up as much as I want.
You know what, whatever, four games about, they're gonna come

(17:22):
in tonight. They're gonna wrap it up. Hopefully we got
six strong innings from Beulah tomorrow. We already saw we
got the bullpen. It doesn't matter who they have on
the plate. We got this four games. Sweet, sweet, sweet gentlemen,
we'll talk tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
You got it, Felix be some spirituality, Rodney, Yeah, we do.
Somebody's got to do cable for tonight that somebody will
join us next. Come on.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
We are a few hours away from Game three in
the Bronx Dodgers Yankees. Before that, though, we need to
get this beard in place. Gotta have our spirituality, Freddy, Yeah,
to provide that. Let's bring him on right now. Victor
break with an ale haikup too victed afternoon.

Speaker 11 (18:12):
He's loving him some Beulah tonight in the Bronx Estanoche, fred.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Rogan, Hello, Vic damn right.

Speaker 11 (18:20):
I am riding the bullet train, the Shinkansen of Dodger Love.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Rodney Pete, Oh yeah, I love riding that train. Vict
p d Pete.

Speaker 11 (18:39):
His baby O continues to cool Dodgers in six Kevin
Figure come on now, and he is banned Sinatra and
Bronx's Fat Joe from his playlist this week.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Roddy Fascio King Flavor in the house, y'all hot from
the borough of Queens. Y'all.

Speaker 11 (19:04):
Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and I can tell
you the Bronx is gonna be nuts tonight. But you
guys ask me how I feel. You always say, VIC,
how do you feel?

Speaker 2 (19:17):
How do you feel?

Speaker 11 (19:18):
Let me channel some GFO or some godfather of soul.
I feel right, yeah, so good?

Speaker 1 (19:38):
We got you.

Speaker 11 (19:40):
Wow, That's how I feel. Fellas, I feel so good.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Sounds like you're in pain. Sounds so riper.

Speaker 11 (19:47):
Help listen. Dodgers, Yankees one, Epic, Freddy, Freddy and more.
Freddy first ever world walk off Grand Slam. I call
it the primal scream Slam. But fellas, who did I

(20:08):
predict to be the World Series MVP on Friday afternoon?
With you guys? You did it?

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Vic, you did call it. I'll give you that.

Speaker 11 (20:16):
Let us go back in time. MVP will be Freddy Freeman.
We all forget. Freddy Freeman's back in the mix. Freddie
Freeman your MVP, and we'll.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Talk local angles.

Speaker 11 (20:30):
You know, Flowery and g Cole. Freddy's was born in
foul Fountain Valley, Westminster, Orange, Anaheim. I mean, Freddy Freeman
is as as la as it gets I'm going with
Freddy Man as the MVP, so inspirational man playing through
an ankle.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Yeah, I was so dismiss it all right, yep, Now
whatever you say, Vick, what do you mean I was
dismissed it. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
I cut off the part at the very end of
that frad where you said, all right, Vic, that brings
us to what so dismissive?

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Well, Kevin, we had like thirty seconds left. I understand
you're not the one that gets yelled at for that.
I mean I'm the one that does the yelling to
you exactly.

Speaker 11 (21:18):
Just a good feel I had about Freddy, and I
think old Dodger fans really had had that incredible Freddy
Freeman feeling that all that he's been through.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Been through a lot.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Don't definitely have enough time to hear everything he's been through,
but we'll try to figure it out when we come back. Oh,
there it is, Freddy, there it is. This is in
the Grammy Hall of Fame right here. Gotta go with
this again, fred Rogan, come on, let's get it back Freddy.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Hey, Rodney. Before we get to Vic, I just want
to say, and we didn't mention it earlier wherever you
were Friday night. People are at the Laker game, they
were at the Elo concert, they were all over And
the funny thing was all of a sudden because everybody,
no matter where they were, was kind of keeping an
eye on it on their phones. When Freddie Freeman hit

(22:16):
that home run, you heard people cheer a multiple venues
throughout southern California, and the performers didn't even know what
was going on because everybody was watching on their phone.
Right the Elo concert, people lost the Laker.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's captured everything. And like I said,
you know, look, Dodger Yankees is big deal, but overall
games are exciting. Make League Baseball is winning right now,
and everybody's captivated.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
This team has captivated the city. It is the Dodgers.
We love the Dodgers, but.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Man, the way they played, played with heart have been
check this year.

Speaker 6 (23:01):
It is.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
It is a beautiful thing to watch. All right, Let's
bring fake back on, Vic.

Speaker 11 (23:11):
Moss. Freddy Freeman can't get enough of Game one. Game
two is insane as well. Tommy Edmund the home run
the way of tay Te Oscar Hernandezi tumongous two runs
out and then Freddy again going deep and im a mono.
Son was brilliant six and a third in the bullpen

(23:32):
as always lights out, but Moss Freddy remember Freeman knocked
down seven times, he got up the eighth the messed
up right ankle from hell, had a broken finger during
the season, played through that and of course the emotional
turmoil of his three year old son Max undergoing the
massive health issues I mean, Freddy Alah Gibson in Game

(23:53):
one of the eighty eight World Series created an la
seminal sports moment, greatest moment in l A sports history,
greatest Dodger game in franchise history.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
I'm calling it the.

Speaker 11 (24:05):
Greatest game in any sports period. This crazy drama, the
grandest stage, the two out blast that still has the
ravine rocking. I'm calling it the greatest game in any sports.
Was Game one of this twenty twenty four World Series
at the Crown Jewel Chevez Ravine. I'm still pussed out.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I don't know if the greatest ever president of the
moment a little bit victim.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Not even the greatest World Series. Didn't Joe Carter win
the World Series on a walk off home run?
