Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, here we go, Fred Rogan, Rodney Pete on
a five seventy LA Sports run a little earlier than
we thought would be today. I've got to be honest
with you. Apologies to Colin and for those of you
that wanted to hear him break down the Browns defensive line.
I'm sorry we're interrupting at this point. Everybody needs to
know who's, you know, the reserve cornerback for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

(00:22):
But we cannot do it now. We've got to talk
Dodger baseball. We didn't think we'd be on early. We
thought we'd be on at our regular time, but given
what happened last night, here we are for one hour.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Rodney. How are you feeling today? I'm feeling good, Fred,
feeling good. Why are you taking shots at Colin and
then breaking down the Browns Man? You didn't want to
talk and everybody wants it. Thursday Thursday Night football safe today?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Rodney? Yeah, No, I guess not. Man.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Everybody's catching some straight bullets today. Man's And again I
go back to blaming you, Fred with the guarantees, Man,
why are you guaranteeing things?

Speaker 1 (01:06):
See?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
See, we're on short show today, we're only on for
an hour. Because we're on for three we take calls,
and people would yell at you.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
We're still going to take calls. We're still gonna take calls.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Why Yeah, but it'll be short calls because we're only
on an hour. When people can't ramble. We got to
get them on and off. But I want to know
how many of the calls are going to be. Don't
addict anything, Fred, don't say anything, Fred.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Look, let's be honest here. I missed once. I missed once. Okay,
that's it. And I've got a good feeling about tonight
and it's very important play. I didn't say anything, but
I have a good feeling. When have you not said
you had a good feeling? I can't remember. Has there
ever been a time he said game, big game? Dodger's

(01:53):
playing a big game? You did, I don't. I don't
feel good about this one tonight. No, I would have
you ever said that? No? I I would have concerns though, Okay,
no concerns tonight. No. I don't have any concerns tonight.
But Bill Plashki wrote this morning. My god, you know
Bill listens all the time. I thought he's got guys

(02:15):
burying the Dodgers. Oh no, he's got guys bearing that.
He said, Dodgers in a must win situation or they're
done or yeah, basically that's what he said. That amazing
one game does to people and their their confidence level
or whatever they thought an hour before the game, or

(02:38):
even a minute before the game started, or even after
Tommy Edmund hit the home run, you know, and then
it goes from that and Shoreber hits the home run
and the Phillies go on a run, and all of
a sudden, now there's no confidence in the Dodgers, and
the Dodgers backs against the wall, and all of a sudden,
the Dodgers can't play, and it's it's pretty amazing. It's
pretty amazing.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
And then you hear the players like, well, game, we
gotta go out there and we're still up to one
and we're gonna go win, right.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
So a couple of things in the game last night. Yeah,
im Amodo struggled. That hasn't happened in a while, but
he did. He struggled, and I felt it early and
even in that first inning, he just seemed like he
was a little off in the first inning. So that
didn't help matters. But I and Otani is struggling hitting now.
If you remember we kind of went through this last

(03:25):
year in the playoffs. He didn't hit, No, he didn't.
He's got a hit. And it's not from a lack
of effort or he doesn't want to hit, or he's
too exhausted to hit. He's just not hitting. And he's
got to come around. I mean, even if they had
won last night twelve to nothing and the Dodgers advanced,
Otani's got to hit.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
He looks uncomfortable. I'm just gonna say he looks very
uncomfortable at the plate. He doesn't look he doesn't look
sure of himself. He's swinging at bad pitches. He's getting
into he's getting into the hole early. I mean, he's
every time you look up, he's down two or he's
now is one to two on him. And and I

(04:04):
don't know if he's got to have a different approach
about you know, I want to get jump on the
you know, first strike, I see as opposed to being patient.
But it just and I don't know the real numbers
to them looked it up, but it just feels like
almost like the moment he's in the box, he's down
oh two, and now you somewhat are a little bit

(04:25):
of a defensive hitter. And now the pitcher's got his
whole arsenal to throw at you, and he's had some
ugly strikeouts in these first three games. He's got to hit,
he's got to get it together, he's got to figure
it out, and hopefully tonight will be the night he
will do that. We do have to say one thing, though, Look,
everybody wanted the Dodgers to win, and if you're a

(04:48):
Dodger fan, you're an upset. You know, the top three
in the Philadelphia lineup, we're not hitting, and that was
a problem for them. I mean, they weren't.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Can we just take a minute and just as a
pure baseball fan, just as a fan of the game,
if we don't have a dog in the fight, we
just liked baseball. That home run that Kyle Schwarverer hit
last night, Holy god, Oh that was monstrous. There have

(05:16):
been a lot of home runs hit a Dodger stadium.
That thing hit the roof in the right field pavilion. Yeah,
that was a blast, and I kind of felt like
the Dodgers were in trouble after that. To tell you
the truth. I thought, oh, I think, I mean, he
didn't your home run. He almost hit it out of
the stadium. That was a bomb.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
That was a bomb. And I heard people referencing Willie Stargell.
I remember it to this day. I was a little kid,
but I and people often talked about it when they
mentioned Dodger Stadium and players that have gone through, the
opposing players home runs, whatever, and Willie Stargell was the
guy that hit it out of the stadium, and they
kept referencing him because that was a absolute bomb, a bomb.

(06:00):
I don't know if he can hit it further than that.
I mean, that was he got it on the sweet spot.
He got everything on that one. It reminded me almost
like you remember in World Series last year Gien Carlos
Stanton hit that that bomb and the and the I
think it was the first game hit a bomb that
went over the dugout, I mean over the bullpen of

(06:21):
the Dodgers bullpen, and it was the whole stadium was
like gasping because it was so deep and so far
as soon as he hit it, and the sound off
of it. It was a similar thing last night with
Kyle Schwarber that thing was gone. I mean right off
the bat, it just was launched. And so yeah, you
got to appreciate that, but you had to have known,

(06:42):
and I know the Dodgers did, but you know you
were wishing that that they didn't. They didn't wake up.
But those guys are too good Schwarber, Harper, Turner, too
good to just keep down. You know, throughout this whole series,
they've had great years and at some point you knew
that they were going to come alive, and they did

(07:03):
last night. Now let's hope they go back cold again.
But I just never I just was holding you're holding
your breath, thinking, okay, can we just keep those guys
at bay? And they did the first two games. But
at some point the stars are going to be stars,
and they showed up last night. We just need our guys. Now,
Otani has got to go and post his will and

(07:23):
take over a game.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
So during the game, y'all, Momoto's out. They're down three
to one and go to the bullpen. Now I was
watching with some people, doesn't matter who the people are,
And I don't know if you felt the exact same way.
And that's why I bring this up. As you listen
the minute at the bullpen door opened and Bonda came in.
They were like, Dave Roberts is conceding the game right now.

(07:51):
He is conceding the game by putting somebody from the
bullpen in. And I said, he's not conceding the game
right now. Why would you use any reliever in the bullpen.
If you do, you are conceding the game. Well, guess
what he did well. Not only did well, he got
out of a basis loaded jam, right, and then Jack

(08:14):
Dryer appeared. Guess what he did well? And then the
moment occurred. And I was really excited about this. When
I saw Kershaw warming up, I went, okay, all right,
like I was, I thought the complete opposite.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Did you really? Oh yeah, I told somebody that when
he was warming up. It's like, I don't feel this
right now. I don't feel this right now. The Phillies
are feeling it right now, their bats are waking up,
and I just I just had a gut down. I
just didn't feel that moment that was going to be
good for him, and I know the crowd did because

(08:50):
they gave him a standing no coming in. And you know,
Holly went to the game and I watched it here,
but you know, see Sandy Kofax stand up and ye,
you know that was kind of cool and them all
ready for it. But just I just I just didn't
feel the moment was gonna be right for him.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Well, you were right, you were right. He had a
tough night so much so. But then the people I
was watching with were going, why is he leaving him there?
Why is he making him stand out there like this? Why?
Why why wouldn't you take him out? Why are you
putting him through that? Well, of course I think everybody
got really emotional.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Yeah, I didn't know if he was gonna come back
because he got out of that jam right and then
got out of the inning, and then he came back
for the second inning. I was I was like, oh,
let that be it. Let that be it. You know,
he got out, he got the one inning, and it
was close, but he came back for the second inning
as is ooh and it and it grew that that

(09:51):
gut feeling grew when he came out for the second inning,
and sure enough, you know, five runs later.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Yeah. Uh. One of the reasons he was in apparent
language no one knew, but now we all do. Tanner Scott
has not been with the club. He has been dealing
with a personal issue, and we hope, first and foremost
everything is okay. That's the most important thing. But he
wasn't there. But that leads you to think, if he

(10:17):
had been there, does that mean he would have put
him in, because that's the one thing you don't want
to see. You don't want him to be in. There
was a moment last night where Blake Trannon was warming up. Yeah, yeah, thought,
oh god, no, don't do that.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
And he was warming up when I think the game
was still three to one, right, I think he was
still It was like still you know, and a striking
distance moment for the Dodgers. It wasn't like the game
was out of hand when he was warming up, So, yeah,
wouldn't he warming up before they brought in? Uh yes,

(10:54):
brought in Benda, right, Yeah, we brought in Yeah, so
he was warming up well, and so it was Dodgers
is still right in it and they decided to go
with Banda.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
But yeah, I was like, ooh type ball game.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
And did you feel like even though it was three
to one and felt like the Phillies you know, kind
of had got it go and had the momentum. Sworeber's
home run was still lingering around the stadium, and and uh,
but three to one that it is just a matter
of one inning the Dodgers gonna explode and go back
and take the lead. I felt that all the way
through until that that explosion on the fifth inning on them.

(11:29):
But when they were down three to one, I was like,
no big deal. You know, a lot of game left.
So it was three to one for a while. I mean,
Yallammodo held it, held it together, you know, after that,
and and really kept them at bay. And so three
to one and the sixth seventh inning, and I was saying, Okay,
this is gonna take one big hit and you know,
one thing here and one thing there, like the Dodgers
always do, and and they're gonna overtake them. And they

(11:52):
certainly had their chances. That's the point. And that's when
I became concerned. I was thinking the same way. All right,
it's sorry one, it's nothing. Look at them. They'll got them.
But the Dodgers were leaving runners on base last night.
They were stranding guys, guys in scoring position. That's when
I knew we'd got a real problem. Here tonight because
they did have guys on that wasn't a problem. They

(12:15):
didn't have a ton of them, but they had him
in position they couldn't move him in. That's when I thought,
now we're gonna be in trouble tonight. When that started,
I don't did Mook even score in the first Inny? No,
he hit the triple, right, he didn't score. O Tani
strikes out, he hits the triple, So it's he's on
third base with one out. Got gotta score there, Gotta

(12:36):
score there. And uh, I don't know what ti Oscar
did after that, maybe he struck out or whatever, but
you gotta get Mookie home.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
You gotta score.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
He hits a triple and you you're sitting there at
third base with less than two outs. Fly ball to
the outfield scores and you know, ground ball to the
I think they well, I think early on Philly was like,
we're gonna play infield in so they were in. But
anything you gotta over him in that situation. They got
nothing from that. And when he hit that triple and
Mars which was a bad play, bad judgment played by

(13:08):
him first in and you don't die for a ball
like that, you keep it to a single and and
live to fight another day. But he made a terrible mistake.
And the Dodgers usually make teams pay for that, and
they didn't. And I was like, oh man, they came
up they came up empty on that big play because
crowd was in it. When Micky hit that triple, they
were ready to go. It's like, okay, here we go

(13:29):
and nothing. Nothing, And so that was that was That
was a bad start.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Uh. Well, also, Will Smith two k's and he froze
them on each one. Yeah, and he had a chance
to knock somebody in two. It just wasn't a great night.
Wasn't a great hitting night. Uh. And the sharp me
but it I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Sometimes the Dodge Dodgers when they face certain guys, you know,
the ones you think that they're going to struggle against,
they hit like crazy, and the ones you think, oh
my god, they're gonna light this guy up for whatever reason.
Ranger swores to me is like a guy that hitters
would look, you know, eyes get wide open. Now, Okay,

(14:13):
I can't wait to go hit this guy me And
and he he was unhittable for the Dodgers for the
most part. They couldn't hit him. You know, I thought
when Tommy Edmunds hit the home run, right first pitcher,
first at bat, it's like, oh, they've got tee off
On Ranger Swars. This whole plan of Nola going one
inning and and Swars coming in is gonna backfire. And

(14:33):
Tommy Edmonds hit the home run, it said, okay, yeah,
they've got tee off On Swars. He didn't have overwhelming stuff.
He's a he's a really good picture though, you know,
hitting his spots and knowing when to change speeds and
all that.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
But man I thought he was. He's an extremely hit
able pitcher and the Dodgers can't do anything with him. No, no,
And and so after edmund hits the home run, if
you're at the stadium last night or watching or listening,
you're thinking, as you said, Rodney, here we go, here
we go. You know what call it now? Because this

(15:05):
one is over. You just watch what happens. They get
this war as the first guy boom, it didn't work.
And then he just systematically picked the corners, fooled them
with what he was throwing. He really had them off balance. Yeah,
that's what he did. He had the Dodger hitters off balance,

(15:28):
and we've not seen that in a very long time.
And watching him, as you point out, he doesn't look
like he has overpowering stuff. He doesn't look like he's
gonna blow it by you. But he just did a
really good job of pitching. Yeah, and the Dodgers couldn't
catch up. So, Dodger fans, if you were at the

(15:48):
stadium last night, we do need to hear from you.
I mean, we're on for an hour today, but we're
gonna be all Dodgers. Come on, we have to be right.
Every day at noon we do like an hour of Dodgers.
We're on for one hour eleven to noon. We're doing
an hour of Dodgers. So if you were at the
stadium last night, give us a call, tell us what
you think and anybody that would like to weigh in
on this, or how are you feeling? What is your

(16:09):
confidence level right now? Right now? You saw what happened.
We know what's gone before the game. You know, I
almost said, thank god I didn't say this, or you
really would have been mad. I'm not sure I think
they'll sweep every series. I was gonna say that yesterday
and I didn't. Oh yeah, now, I'm glad I didn't
say that, But I was really feeling that way. Even

(16:34):
when Edmund hit his home run last night, I was going,
they're gonna sweep every series. I don't think they're gonna
lose a game in the playoffs. That's what I was thinking.
I didn't tell anybody that. I mean, that's how confident
I was. So what is your confidence level? You know?
Real quick?

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Even when you said Yama Moto didn't look like Yama
Moto either. You know, from the start he was he
was exulting himself. You know, he was taking I mentioned
Otani being down oh two, every every batter seemed like
he was three two or three to one, or you know,
through eight pitches to every batter. Is like he was
working extra hard and just didn't have it, just didn't

(17:16):
have it.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
All right? What is your confidence level? Eight six six
nine eighty seven two five seventy eight six six nine
eighty seven two five seventy And this is at Dodger
fans today, It's time to support your boys in blue
at the stadium. We need your energy. Get your tickets
for today's game at Dodgers dot com. Slash postseason. Today,
the Dodgers take on the Fills at the Stadium Game
four the NLDS. The first pitch is three oh eight.

(17:39):
Here's the game on AM five seventy LA Sports and
n HD on the iHeartRadio app. The keyword AM five
seventy LA Sports eight six six nine eighty seven two
five seventy. What is your confidence level as we go
into game four? Okay, yes, welcome back to the Sprint,

(18:05):
Rodney Pete.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Fred Rogan only on for an hour today as the
Dodgers played the early game today starting at three eight
specific time or no, yeah, three oh eight, right, yep?

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Three oh eight. Tyler Glives now goes for the Dodgers.
By the way, I do have to point this out
real quick. During the break, I turned on the TV
for a second and I saw your wife on Jennifer Hudson.
Oh you did? Oh yeah? Who's he doing talking? First
of all, are you aware of the fact that she
was even on that? I think that's the most important question. Well,

(18:38):
I'm assuming.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
That was a it was a repeat, because he certainly
isn't on live today. Oh okay, do I know where
my wife is? Is that what you're asking me?

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Fred? Well, listen, I'm not trying to cause trouble. I mean,
I think we're friends. I just wondering if you knew.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Yeah, no, I didn't know she was on Jennifer Hudson Today.
But uh but I know she did that show not
too long ago. So maybe they're Aaron today are airing
something else again. He's been on it a couple of times.
And here's the funny thing. So the TV's on and
I go, look everybody. There were some people, look everybody,
you see her? And I go, yeah, I said, I

(19:13):
work with her husband. I work with her husband. I said, yeah,
her husband's the star of the family. I work with
her husband every day. And I told him, they go really,
I said, oh yeah. And also one other note, I
talked to King Freak today. He came and saw, oh
you did you. Yeah, that's my man John Page.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Yeah yeah, the pager. Yeah yeah. And here's the thing
I said, I said to King Freak, I guess there's
some stories. Huh. All he would say to me loose lips,
and you know what that means?

Speaker 2 (19:49):
All right, okay, King King King King had fun during
his college years at usc FRED.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
What position did he play? He played offensive line. Yeah,
he was. Uh, he was.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
It was when I left tackle, when I was there.
He's a little bit older than I was, so my
freshman in sophomore year here he was there and then
he uh then he graduated. Yeah, he was offensive lineman.
Then uh then went on to did some h did
some pretty good things.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
You know. Worked.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Uh he was living in Philly too, actually when I
was playing there, working with sprite.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Yeah yeah, Okay, here we go. What is your confidence level?
How are we feeling? Let's go to Tony in l
A Tony Ellie's. But what is your confidence level here? Tony? Yes? Hey,
how are you doing? We're fine? How are you?

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Thanks?

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Tourney? Are you there? Okay, Tony, thanks for the call. Uh,
let's go to one in Arcadia one. What is your
confidence level?

Speaker 4 (20:56):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Good? Uh good?

Speaker 5 (20:57):
Afternoons fellas my confidence was, it's pretty good. I'm not
I'm not afraid about the weight class. Now it's gonna pitch.
I think it's gonna come out great. And I was
gonna be his first postseason starting as long as you
don't guarantee it eighty Fred all.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Right, there you go. That's what I'm talking about. That's Jesus,
that's not necessary. All right, thank you one. Good call.
Good call. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but nobody seemed to
have a gripe when I was right, nobody seemed to
have a concern. Then I missed one. I missed one,
and I didn't say what I was going to say yesterday,

(21:36):
thank God that they could go on beating throughout the playoffs.
I didn't say that. All right, okay? Uh, Edgar Edgar's
in Anaheim. Hello Edgar, how was your confidence level?

Speaker 6 (21:51):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (21:52):
How you guys doing?

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (21:55):
I think I think today's game, Oh, Taani needs to
be the difference maker. He's been quiet the whole the
whole time, but I think today he's gonna wake up.
But the under pressure, he knows this is the time.
I predict that Tani drops a couple of bombs, comes
in the seventh inning, pitches a seventh and eight, and
then Sasaki coses a freaking game.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
That's my prediction.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
All right, there, it is there, It is what any
think of that? Rodney? Okay, Yeah, he needs to come through.
He needs to come through. You know.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
First of all, you know, I go back to the
ridiculous prayer that we actually played on airs. Unbelievable. But
he gets a path. Why is Tony get in the pass?
We're so hard on Muki and Freddy a couple of
years ago and their struggles. But he's got to come through.
He's got to come through. He's been the guy if

(22:47):
Schwober comes through for them, He's got to be the
He's got to be the counterpuncher.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
He's got to be that guy.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
And and and they need him Pessi from the lead
off position to set the tone and get it going.
And so it's going to be critical for him to
get going for the Dodgers to be successful today and
going forward.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yeah, I don't think you can give him a pass.
I don't believe you can give him a pass. It's
a problem. Now. The problem was masked by the fact
that they were winning, but it's a problem and it
becomes more magnified when they get beat. Yeah, he's got
to step up. But correct me if I'm wrong, Rodney.

(23:28):
Thinking about last year, he struggled in the playoffs as well.
I think against the Yankees in the first game, I
think he doubled. I can't remember exactly, but he started
off kind of hot. Again, Remember the padres. He hit
the home run on the you know, in that first
game and kind of got it going. It was like,

(23:49):
it's welcome to the playoff moment. And then after that, Yeah,
you're right, he did struggle. He did struggle, and you know,
it was the others that got hot and that and
thank god, and then obviously Freddy doing what he did
was incredible, But yeah, it was different. It was a
variety of guy.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Tommy Edmund was the MVP of the NLCS and then
Freddie the MVP of the World Series. So, yeah, it's
time for old Tony to step up and really impose
his will. And he can be intimidated, but right now
he's not striking any fear in the pictures of the
opposing pictures right now.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
No, all right, let's go to downy Anthony. How is
your confidence level.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
At a fellas? I love the show. I do you
wanted to say that? My confidence is pretty high. We
have the California kids. He's coming out tonight. I'm pretty confident.
I think we might need to douce a switch up
to the lineup. I don't think Otani's doing too good
as the leadoffs. I would like to see the number
one being Booky Betts and he's doing pretty good, so

(24:52):
I'd like to see that.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
All right, thanks Anthony. I don't think that's gonna happen.
Probably not, but not a bad idea though. I mean,
they've done it in the past, where you know, Muki
was struggling or one of them struggling, they switched them up.
Maybe it is maybe it is a good thing that
they may, you know, switch it up. Let Muki lead
off and see how that works. You think we'd be
opposed to that. But do you think they would do it.

(25:17):
I don't think they would, you know, not at this stage.
I mean if they depending on how today goes. If
unfortunately today you know, doesn't go well for the Dodgers
and Otani struggles again today, I wouldn't I wouldn't be
shocked to see that happen in game five if it does,
go to the game five and Philly.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
But remember it was a big to do earlier in
the year. Oh we can Muki will lead off and
Otani'll hit second. Wait a minute, if we switch him,
it'll lead to this and then it was fine. But
I remember the conversations like, oh, don't don't switch them
what's it going to do to either one of them?
You know, if Mooki's hot and Otani's not, let Mooki

(25:56):
lead off. Yeah, pretty simple. Yeah, I think it's interchangeable.
I mean it's it's really good when Otani can lead
off with a home run and and he's going good.
That's that's that's great. But we've seen it before, even
with the Phillies. You know, Showarber let off for the
most of the season for them, and they went back
to Trey Turner leading off now and Showober hitting second,

(26:18):
and and Freddie's hitting you know, he's hit anywhere from
second to fourth. You know, he's gone in most season,
he was hitting third, and now you know he's hitting
fourth because tay Oscar has kind of got hot. So
it's you know, those those first four spots are are
a little bit interchangeable. But for Muki and for old Tani,
I think those are I think for either one of them,
I would say that both of them are probably cool

(26:40):
with it. All right, no flake, would we go? We
appreciate your holding, Kevin, how was your confidence level?

Speaker 8 (26:47):
Hey, fred Rodney, good morning. More as you're talking to
you both, I would say on an eight out of
ten scale, I'm about an eight. I do believe you
guys are right. O'tani does have to pick it up
a little bit. But so as the rest of that offense, they,
like you mentioned, they struggled last night runners in scoring position,
we didn't do a good job.

Speaker 6 (27:08):
So if they can.

Speaker 8 (27:10):
Change that, pitching stays tight, I think we'll be in
good shape.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Lall right, appreciate it. Thanks for the call. How do
you think Phillies tonight? Who goes to the Phillies? I
forgot who goes for the Philly Sanchez? Sanchez and come
back with him again? Yeah, all right?

Speaker 1 (27:25):
How do you think last now? Will do? I think
you did well? I really do. I think that.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
First of all, I think good. It's good that he's
he's going at home. He's gonna be good for him.
He'll he'll get to start the game on the mound.
And I think his is coming out in in out
of the bullpen the other day or the other game
than one game he did. H was good for him.
But I think he's gonna be amped up and I
think he's gonna be ready to go. I'm I'm confident

(27:54):
because I think they have everybody in their Arsenal today.
This is this is it? See the tank game as
far as I'm concerned for the pitch game seven, yeah,
you got to go win this one, you know. And
if she ends ready to go, and then Sazaki is
ready to go in the back end, you got to,
you know, depending on how Glass now, hopefully he can

(28:15):
give you length, he can get you to you know,
through six or seven. But i'd have she and ready
to go, you know, at any moment, and he can
give you length to and then you've got you know,
you've got Bessie still and and then you can, uh,
you know, save Sazaki for the ninth. But I think
you empty the tank. And I think Glass, now, now
here's the thing. The Dodgers got to get him some runs,

(28:37):
you know. That's that's the thing. I think the Dodgers
got to get him a lead. And if he pitches
with a lead, I think he's be pitches much better.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
All right, let's see, let's go to a riverside. Ruben's
out on riverside. Reuben, appreciate your holding. What is your
confidence level?

Speaker 6 (28:55):
My confidence level is pretty good. I think we're going
to do pretty good today. But Glass needs to be great.
You have to be perfect today pretty much trying to
take over and the offense used to course some runs.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
All right, appreciate it, Thanks Uber, thanks for listening. Here's
the thing innings, right, you can't have any walks. You
gotta eliminate the big innings. You know again, those those
big three for them, Uh, you know that one of
them is gonna one of them or two of them
are are gonna hit the ball. They're gonna they're gonna
be okay. They've done it all year, so there's no

(29:29):
sense of hope and of praying that they're they're gonna
be what they were in the first two games. They've
woken up and you just got to keep them at bay.
And if Schwarber does hit a home run or hit
a bomb like he did last night, that'd be a
solo not a three run bomb. You know, that's the
thing they've got to avoid. Well, here's the thing about
glasnow too. He's sort of the forgotten soul. He's a

(29:50):
forgotten man. Yeah, let's go back to last season. Remember
he was the big pitching free agent acquisition. They're paying
him real money. They believe that he is one of
the better pitchers in baseball. Remember last year he was
the best pitcher on the staff. Before he they shut

(30:12):
him down and he got injured and couldn't go anymore.
But throughout the summer he was just when the Dodgers
were struggling and he came in and it was his turn.
He was their stopper. He was their guy that gave him,
you know, the confidence, and gave him the length and
got that win.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
And so he is.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
He has full capability of doing all of that. And
again I think Jesus gotta they gotta get him some
run support.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yeah, I mean, but that's why they signed him, right, Yeah,
he's kind of been the forgotten man. But you understand,
on any other staff in the playoffs if he would
not if he's not number one, he's number two. So
remember that. It's not like, oh god, now Glasnow's got
no no, no, no, no, no. He would be the

(30:58):
ace of many staffs. It just so happens that the
other well two, Well, my modo struggled last night, but
certainly Snell is in a league all of his own.
Oh Tani did not have a great outing, but they won.
But now you have class now, so it's okay. It's
not like, yeah, well, we better cross our fingers tonight.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
No.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
That that's why he gets paid. He's one of the
better pitchers in baseball. Let me ask you this, if
it happens to do go game five? Istany start game
five and Phili I think so? Yeah, I'll tell you
who I'd start.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
It's it's Snell. Really would you would you come back
with Snell?

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Yes? Yeah, I would, because I'm not full of laugh
he pitched what he pitched Monday? Right, Yeah, so Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
That would be five days, four days of rest. Right,
I'd go Snell.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Six days for Tani. Yeah, all right, Uh, well here
we go, Mitch. Oh, it's gonna get better too, Mitch,
Mitch in New Jersey. Yes, Mitch, how was your confidence level?

Speaker 6 (32:14):
What's covin?

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Fred?

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Ronnie Adam, how are you guys doing?

Speaker 6 (32:20):
Conference?

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Is pretty good?

Speaker 6 (32:22):
For today's game, the ghost of Saturday?

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Well, I believe it.

Speaker 7 (32:27):
Hitting's gonna wake up today to square ten runs today,
so we'll be fine for the Costa Saturday.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
I'm gonna be really I'm gonna be sweating between the
Dodgers and USC having to have the rebound fight on right, Ronnie.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
That's right, Mitch, that's right Michigan.

Speaker 6 (32:43):
Today, and so be well rested for game one of
the Division Series series. And Ashley, what do you think?

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Good Mitch? Good God, goodbye? Wow? Well that was fine.
Otani is starting in game five. Period. Kevin just sent
me a message. It is Otan. That's good, all right.
We got to wrap it up with a voice of reason.
This person speaks people. Listen, you understand the true feeling

(33:11):
as a Dodger fan when you hear this person hang
on every word Isabelle, Oh, how is your confidence level?

Speaker 4 (33:23):
It's good, it's good. I think they're gonna win tonight.
I really do. But but why did he let that
guy go on? He was on Dodged Talk last night.
David didn't even let him get past the second sentence?
Why did he did let him go on? It was

(33:43):
why is he? And why is he? Blamer? Oh the
day Dave Roberts pitchy? Is he the ball? It just
if it ta me the dodge of always blame that
Dave Robert He's the problem in the players on tonight.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Still okay? All right? Is he? That's good? Listen. We
can't let her get that upset anymore. No, you know
what could happen if she gets that upset. We cannot
allow that. So Ronnie, you're gonna have to jump in
sometimes too. If Isabelle gets that upset, it's not good
for her health. All Right, we're not gonna let that happen.

(34:23):
Is she still there? Oh my god? All right, you're
gonna be fine. Fine, Just don't get too upset, Isabelle.
We don't want that. That guilt. We can't take it.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Dodger fans, time to support your boys in blue, needs
your energy. Get your tickets for the game at Dodgers

game on a M five seventy l A Sports and
in HD and the iHeartRadio app. The keyword a M
five seventy l A Sports. All right, in a very

(35:05):
brief hour, we will be back to conclude the proceedings
in a moment.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
All right, finish it up this sprit on a throwback
Thursday riding Pete Fred Rogan Dodges Game four.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Let's go, let's close it out tonight, Fred, Yeah, gotta
do it. I would say this, and I noticed it
watching some of the other playoff games. I'm not suggesting
you do it, but fans in other stadiums are on
their feet far more than we are here in Los Angeles.
I will say that they are up far more than

(35:41):
we are here. Everybody gets up here when you can
close the game out, that's not an issue. Everybody gets
up ninth in ain't okay, and then we play I
Love La and everybody heads out. Maybe do it a
couple of other times during the game.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
You maybe just create that energy from the first pitch
you wanted to be rocket that's up and ready to go.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Get there early.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Yeah, you know what it should be. It should be
like a hundred. Everybody should have been three o'clock to start.
Everybody get there at noon. Oh it's new now, right,
so everybody can't get there now, get there too. Everybody
be there too, Get there too, right, and be be

(36:23):
up and in the game. It does make a difference.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
You can just feel it when if you're watching on TV,
there's a different energy, and if you're experiencing it there
then you really know the difference. So let's try to
be up. Everybody up, up and in the game. Uh. Fortunately,
I've not noticed as many people in the home plate
seats on their phones during the game. Thank you. That's

(36:48):
very kind. That is very kind, because during the regular season,
it's like, HEYI you see me, I'm sitting right here.
I'll wave at you. Don't do that in the playoffs, Seaton,
everybody be ready tonight everybody dies.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
I don't think it's gonna be a prob. I think
everybody will be into it tonight. I think they feel
like this is a in most most fans, in most
home cities, they want to close out the series and
in their home park. So I think Dodge fans will
be ready to go. And uh, it'll be a great
scene when they when they do close it out and
close out the Phillies and and get ready for the

(37:24):
championship series.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
You know, Chicago's making a series of it too. Now.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
I hope they do, you know. I hope they keep
winning and we'll get a little extra rest and that
that series goes five games.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
We hope. Yeah. Well I miscalculated on that. That that's
that's when I missed. I said the Brewers they'd be
done fast, just the moment would be too big. But
apparently it's not so. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Everybody roots for the Cubs, so that thing goes another game.
Yeah yeah, Brewers. I mean they're playing with a lot
of confidence. Even though the Cubbies won the Brewer they
with every with every wind. That whole notion of they've
not been there before, it kind of goes out the window.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Well we'll find out, all right, Ronnie, thank you really
appreciate it. Thanks for working this hour for us. Kevin,
terrific work today, exemplary, very well put together Dodger broadcast.
We appreciate that. And Rodney, we're back tomorrow at our
normal time at noon, and hopefully we will be looking
forward to the l c S. Yes, sir,
