Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, let's continue on and let's get going.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Fred Rogan Rodney Pete on AM five seventy LA Sports
later this hour, Kevin Wiby along.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
A lot has happened in the.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Last two hours plus, and he'll get has caught up
Rodney with its lit.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Now let's bring on Alan Sliwa, who will discuss all Lakers.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
He's got his own YouTube show, he's got his own podcast,
he's embedded with the Lakers. I think he dreams about
him every night. Whoa he should be working with them.
I think he's a quasi member of the front office.
So let's bring Allen on right now.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Hello, Ellen, thinking about them a lot. You're right, You're right, Fred,
They're always there, always in the back of my mind here.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
All right, So in the back of your mind right
now when you think about them. I'm not saying you
dream about him, but I'm saying, when you think about him,
what do you think?
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Allan goodness, I think they I think they're a good team,
certainly not a great team. I think getting off to
that eighteen and seven start on paper, I don't think
there's a Laker fan would have been upset with that
type of a start. This many games through the season,
over a quarterway through the year. But I think they
(01:15):
also got some glaring holes. I think it's fair to
say that you can have a record where on paper
it looks good, you're top three in the Western Conference,
but I think if you want to make a real
deep run this season, and you look at just how talented,
how young, how tough the Western Conference is, especially these
top five teams or so, you're not going to have enough.
(01:35):
And if you guys know it, just watching all these
different types of sports, if you're not able to play defense,
I don't care what sport it's in, but if you can't,
if you can't be a respected defensive team, certainly in
the NBA, it's gonna be tough to make a real run.
And I think that those are some of the things
that stand out to me early on. Even though their
(01:56):
record is it's a phenomenal record, eighteen and seven, I
think you should be happy with that record.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Yeah, you got to be happy with it. I'm just
wondering is it sustainable. Is it sustainable for the Lakers
to keep this up when they're so dependent on the
top three guys, you know, I know they they've had
runs with Lebron's been out, you know, Luca was out
a couple Austin Reeve was out the other day. Can
(02:25):
they sustain this because it feels like it's so contingent
on all three of those guys being healthy.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah, a lot of it, I think outside of even
the health of the three players. But you're right, they've
had some moments so far this season where they've been
able to still win games and one of those guys
are out or two of those guys are out. I
think what can make it sustainable is it has to
be collective. It has to be you know, Marcus Smart
(02:53):
has been back now for a couple of games. Lakers
used Van do Oh in the last game. They hadn't
really used them in games. I think the way it's
sustainable is you've got multiple guys contributing and not everything
is on the shoulders of Luca, Austin Reeves, and I
think Lebron and might be just up and down throughout
the season. We'll see. He's played better these last couple
of games. But I think for anything to be sustainable,
(03:16):
they they're the players, their role players have to be there.
On a night in Basis, night and night out basis,
and like I said a little bit earlier, you're gonna
have to have some type of identity on defense. If
your goal is we're gonna put up one hundred and
twenty five points a game, that's I don't think that's sustainable.
I think you're going to have to depend on players
(03:37):
to step up that maybe we're not talking about on
a consistent basis. And I'll continue to emphasize this. You've
can also have to be a team that gets stops,
because you're just not gonna if you're depending on Luca,
Lebron and aar to outscore other teams every single game.
I don't think that's a good game plan.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
You know, I only sit here and we talk about it,
and we kick it around and we agonize over every game,
and you know, we try to figure out what's going
to happen, and we know they need to play better defense.
To me, and I've brought this up to Rodney, I
think the Lakers are pretty good. I think at the
end they could be standing. But you know how I
look at it, can they beat when it really comes
(04:16):
down to it, Houston or Okase? Now you might throw
san Antonio into that mix. I don't know you'll toss
Denver in, But I look at it like Houston Okac
in a seven game series, if it really counts, can
they beat those two teams? If you tell me yes,
you believe they can, then we have to have a
conversation about what could be an NBA Finals appearance. But
(04:39):
if you tell me in the conversation, I don't think so.
I just can't see that down the road, then we
know where we're at. So my question is, right now,
where are.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
We I think I don't think they can. I think
probably their ceiling is getting to the second round and
if everything goes there away, they may be able to
get to the Western Conference finals. But I don't see
this team representing the West. And you know, like you
(05:08):
just mentioned, you said the two teams that stood out
to you was Okac Houston was in that conversation for you,
I think Denver probably in my mind, is the second
best team in the West. I just really like their
death Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, Jamal Murray. They they're they're phenomenal.
We'll we'll see how how sustainable the Spurs are. But
(05:30):
I think here's the beauty. The beauty is you don't
have to be the best version of your team in
mid December. They have about seven weeks or so to
approve the roster, and I do think if they are
going to be legitimate, hey, there's there's two three teams
here that can come out of the West. I don't
think it's this roster. And I think they have some
(05:52):
time to add some pieces to be one of those
couple teams left where you would feel good about. Hey,
they got a legitimate chance to be one of these
new teams left in the Western Conference.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Yeah, now, I hear you.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
But when you look at the Western Conference, what are
you and what impresses you? I mean, obviously, okay, see, okay,
see is taking You know, they've they've they're the best
team in basketball, and it's it feels like it's not
even close. But when you look at the West, who
(06:26):
else do you think is going to be left standing
as we start to enter late February.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
March, Well, I think this is what we have. I
think right now you're looking at the Western Conference is
showing and I agreed, let's put let's put Oklahoma City
in their own kind of category and let's leave them
to the side and they're on a one game losing streak,
so we'll see how they recover from that one. Just
one game and all of a sudden, that's a big deal.
(06:52):
But I think you start looking at look how talented
san Antonio is. And we got to see the Lakers
and the Spurs go at it in the order finals
of that NBA Cup and the Spurs kind of set
the tone the entire way, and they didn't have Wemby
in that game. He comes back and they actually beat
the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA in the semi finals.
I think, how can you not look at Houston and Denver,
(07:16):
those two teams, and they're both perfectly positioned to compete
with OKC. And I'm not telling you that they would
beat them in a seven game set, but they have depth,
they have defensive players. Both teams have an identity. The
Denver Nuggets have the best player in the world and
Nakotle Jokics. They got champions already on that roster that
(07:37):
have proven and Lakers have seen this clutch playoff performances
in Jamal Murray. Aaron Gordon, I think continues to be
one of the more underrated players in the NBA. I
think those are your teams. I think the Western Conference.
And that doesn't mean that Minnesota can't be a headache.
It doesn't mean that other teams out there in the
West are saying to themselves, well, we got to be
(07:57):
aggressive of the trade deadline because we're a player or
two behind. But I think you're looking at the three
teams that you thought coming in are still I think
the three teams that you're gonna have to go through,
and that's okay. See Denver and the Houston Rockets and
San Antonio is making their own case. I think people
thought San Antonio is a year away or so, and
(08:18):
they're starting to make the case that no, we're ready
right now.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yeah, I agree with you. I agree. I think the
Furs are tough. I think Wendy's a stud.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Oh no, he if he can stay healthy, I think
he oh the domination that he has, we're just seeing
the tip of the iceberg with him.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
He is phenomenal. I think he's got the right.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
And they haven't it and they have and I think
this is one of the things that we're all starting
to realize too. And I know you guys know this
because the Lakers and the Kings. Every year you're playing
four times. Darren Fox is on their team. That guy's
been through a lot in the NBA. They got all
these other players that maybe they're not household names around
(08:59):
the league yet, but they're young, fearless. I think they
I think all of them got something to prove. And
Saturday was such a fun game because you got to
see that matchup in December. The Spurs aren't scared of
the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Lakers or any of
these other teams out there. It's even outside of Lemby.
I think they got some players that certainly are are
(09:20):
showing that they might be a team to reckon with.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
What do you think of the NBA Cup?
Speaker 6 (09:25):
Ellen, So there's some.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Things I like, some things I don't like. What I
don't need to hear is, hey, the players get five
hundred extra thousand dollars. Should you should be more interested
because there's money, there's money on the line. It's like, yeah,
I don't think that's going to draw my attention. But
I will say the third year of doing this, I
do think it's gaining some momentum. You can tell that
the you could tell that the players and there's certain
(09:51):
teams out there that there is a little bit of
whether money is the motivation or it's just a chance
to win this tournament in the middle of December that
maybe didn't have as much pool, or people weren't really
paying that close of attention to the NBA in November
and December. But it's grown on me, it really has.
(10:12):
I think we're getting some unique matchups early in the
season that we don't typically get. I think tonight is
a great example. We get Wenby in the Spurs versus
the New York Knicks on Tuesday, to standalone game by itself,
it's in Vegas. I like some of it, I really do.
I think it's kind of catching some attraction. It's not
(10:32):
taking away from any of the regular season anyways. You're
playing eighty two games to begin with, certainly trying to
compete against the NFL or the college football playoffs that's
going to start this Friday. It's not. It's I don't
think it's taking anything away from what the NBA already had.
I think it adds an element to it. So it's
grown on me a little bit. I think three years
(10:53):
in you're starting to kind of see what exactly it means.
I think it was confusing in the beginning for a
lot of people. But I think there's probably a lot
of NBA fans out there that don't have an issue
with it.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
I was one of those guys that was very skeptic
about it. And Fred Fred Fred knows, Fred was a
big he was a big cheerleader for for this Cup.
And but now I'm I'm I'm, I'm into it when
when you think about you know, as as as the Lakers,
we just did a conversation with with fans and talking
(11:30):
about the pulse of l A and we had Lakers
Dodgers and then who was three? And a lot of
people said the Rams. Some people said USC Football said,
are the Lakers? Is this a critical time for the
Lakers to continue to solidify their place in LA with
(11:51):
all that's going on. I mean, they've been there for years,
and it's been a Laker Dodger town for years, But
it feels like the Dodgers now are separate themselves from
everybody else. Are the Lakers in fear of that being
the case? And going forward?
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Well, I think the Dodgers have kind of separated themselves
from every team in major League Sports. So I think
it's not even a I really do. I don't think
it's like a it's much of a Laker Dodger conversation.
It's more of a Dodger versus. I mean, just think
of any other franchise now right now in sports, at
least in the States. And you know, obviously we've seen
(12:29):
what the Dodgers have been able to do. But I
think it's an interesting question of all right, you're trying
to keep your relevancy in the city, and I think
the Lakers will always always have unbelievable relevancy. I think
the question just becomes what level are you at? Are
you at the level we know back in the day,
you're thinking the Shack and the Kobe days. It's like,
(12:51):
all right, you can't get any bigger than this. And
every single year there's these unbelievable expectations and most of
them were being met at least once Phil Jackson aboard.
You know, Lebron comes to the Lakers, Lakers trade for
Anthony Davis, you got the Luca trade last year. I
think the attention is always there, but I think how
the Lakers get to another level or get back to
(13:13):
that level of all right there, this is all anybody
talks about, not just in LA but across the country.
I think it's an interesting point in the franchise's history
because it's really the first time that a completely new
regime is coming in, and we know the success of
the regime with the Dodgers. You got to start building around.
(13:35):
I think from a Laker perspective, it's easy to just
be caught up in the moment. You gotta win right now,
got to win right now, got to win right now.
I wonder how much this new regime is saying, yes,
the present is important, but you know what's just as
important is a year from now, and two years from
now and three years from now. And I just got
a feeling new ownership is always looking at the big picture.
(13:56):
And yes, the Lakers will continue to be the talk
of of the town and the talk of you know,
obviously Los Angeles. But I think just as important as
build around Luca, what's it looked like over the next
couple of years. And I think they'll always be, you know,
the attention will be on the Lakers.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
All right.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Allan good stuff, appreciated, man, Thanks for coming on.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Thanks guys, I appreciate the time.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Yeah, I like it.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
Come on, let's get caught up when everything that's going
on in the world, Freddy.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
Let's go.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
It's lift stories lighting up their sports headbox.
Speaker 8 (15:19):
So we now have more even more details about Edwin
Diaz's contract with the Dodgers and more specifically, why he
decided to rebuff the New York Mets. So we have
hoy Ksto of ESPN kind of broke this down in
an article this morning. He said that Diaz was looking
for an average annual value of at least twenty million
dollars in his contract, but he wanted less deferred money
spread over a shorter period. Now, the Mets were not
(15:41):
willing to do that, and apparently the Braves, who are
also in on him, were willing to offer a longer contract,
but also did not want to meet that criteria. The
Dodgers did offer him that, and he decided to sign
with the Dodgers. I don't know if that was ultimately
the deciding factor, but it sounds like that was a
big reason why he decided to choose the Dodgers over
apparently the Mets and the Braves.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Both Okay, you know what that says to me?
Speaker 2 (16:06):
What you snooze, you lose. I mean, your Dodgers gave
him what he wanted. How difficult is that to.
Speaker 9 (16:14):
I don't know it.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
To me, it's so fundamentally simple. Hey, here's what I want.
We're not willing to do that, or you're not willing
to do this. These guys are willing to do whatever
I want. I'm in and I want to win on
top of it. That's why the Dodgers or the Dodgers Rodney.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
Yeah, sounds like a team that you know, or a
couple of teams that are worried about text implications or
figuring out, you know, the deferred money situation. It's all
going to come out in the wash. And the Dodgers
were willing to work with him on the deferred money.
You know, some guys want it the way they want it,
and if you can come to those terms.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
Then we got a deal.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
It just to me, it's it's it's if you really
want them, then you make that happen. He's not asking
for more money, he's asking for the structure to be different.
And if that's the case and you can't come up
with the structure, it might have been a test Fred
at the end of the day, a test for these
(17:11):
other clubs. Are you willing to work with me? How
bad do you really want me? And the Dodgers were
the one that came through and said, yeah, we'll work
with you. We can do it.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
It's a no brainer. Of course I'll work right. I mean,
it's so fundamentally simple. Here's what I want, Okay, we
can do that?
Speaker 6 (17:29):
Is that what you need?
Speaker 1 (17:30):
What I need done?
Speaker 4 (17:32):
I don't need more money. I don't need more money.
I just needed structured a little bit different. Whatever you need,
sit on down. All you got is time to fix
it for you. If anybody else wants to do that,
they can, they don't, And there he is. The Dodgers
have the best closer in the game.
Speaker 8 (17:49):
We talked to Ali Sleu the last segment talking about
the NBA Cup a little bit. We do know the
final is tonight between San Antonio and the New York Knicks. So, Fred,
you were such a huge proponent of this NBA Cup.
So are you actually going to watch the final tonight?
Speaker 9 (18:02):
No, of course not. No, of course course not. Why
would you know?
Speaker 2 (18:06):
My point was, And I think it's well taken, and
I think everybody listening agrees.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
Not well taken. Well I haven't even.
Speaker 9 (18:13):
Said it yet, but we know what you're gonna say.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Okay, if you've got a team in the NBA Cup,
it's the greatest thing in the world.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
What what'd you say? In the notes, Kevin, I saw that,
like the numbers were down.
Speaker 8 (18:23):
Yeah, so the numbers for group play to actually qualify
to get into the quarterfinals, those numbers were up overwhelmingly
over the last the couple last couple of weeks. Now
the actual quarterfinal numbers, so once you know, you separated
the weed from the chaff, if you will. The numbers
plus plummeted, so there was interest from teams or from
fans around the league to actually watch their teams participate
(18:45):
in group play. But once group play ended, the individual markets,
I guess, ended up taking over and the general fans
stopped caring.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
What did I tell you? If your team's in it,
you love it. If you got a shot, we're gonna watch.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Once it's over.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
It's over.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
So I'm saying, it's great got a.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Team in it. If not, who cares?
Speaker 9 (19:01):
Is that what the NBA's intention was when this started.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Yeah, no, of course not. That's just how it played out.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
We only carey, We only care about your viewership. If
your team's in it, that's the that's the intention of
the NBA.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
It doesn't matter what their intent was. That's how it
played out.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
Yeah, but that's come on, that's ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
It's supposed to be one of those things where if
you're a basketball fan NBA fan, that you watch and
you want, you're interested in it, and it turns out
they're not interested in it only if their team is involved.
People are interested in these college football playoffs that come
up this weekend. Regardless of the teams, people are gonna watch.
(19:44):
And so it doesn't matter if you're an Indiana fan
or you're a Oregon fan or JMU fan, You're gonna
watch the college football playoffs, not just because oh, my
team USC is not in it, so I'm not gonna watch.
Speaker 5 (19:59):
No, no, you can't tell me that that was the
intention of the NBA trade.
Speaker 8 (20:03):
And by the way, Alan brought this up last segment
too literally, the only redeeming quality that comes out of
this matchup is that the players are getting paid. Fans
get nothing out of it. I guess there's a banner
you can hang in your arena if that's something you
choose to do. I don't think the Knicks would do that,
to be honest with you. But there's nothing in it
for the fans decide. It doesn't even count as a
regular season game. This is essentially an exhibition, is what
(20:24):
it amounts to. So no one really does care except
for the players on the court. Even if you're a
fan of the team, do you care if they raise
an n season tournament manner?
Speaker 9 (20:32):
You know what you care?
Speaker 8 (20:33):
Jalen brunts In turns an ankle and gets hurt and
he's out for a while playing in an exhibition game.
Speaker 9 (20:37):
You care about that. I've always said it from the beginning.
Speaker 8 (20:39):
Forrad when it comes to the tournament, it's fine as
long as there's something in it for the fans, and
right now there isn't right. I think that as much
as anything, is a big reason why the quarterfinal numbers
and the final numbers are probably not gonna end up.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
Being very good.
Speaker 9 (20:52):
USC. You'll be fleased about this, Rodney.
Speaker 8 (20:54):
You see this Jade Mayava could have declared for the
NFL Draft, could have transferred out, decided not to.
Speaker 9 (21:00):
Is going to be back next season for USC as
our quarterback.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Absolutely absolutely coming back one more year. I think it's
a good idea. I think it's a good strategy. You know,
obviously you know, uh, Fernando, heis, Mendoza is coming out
the number one pick. Probably Dante more is probably coming out.
If I'm if I'm advising him, I'm I'm sure he
(21:24):
comes out too, because he's going to be the second
pick in the draft.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
And nope, we don't know how high that is. But
for for for my my Catada. See, you know, you've
got a chance.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
To to really be dominant next year and become actually
the number one pick in the draft. And I think
right now it's a it's a smart decision. Plus nowadays
keV the n I L money. It's just as good
as being a rookie.
Speaker 9 (21:53):
In the NFL, if not better, depending on where you
get drafted.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
You So so why not stay bottom line? And Rodney
nailed it. You can get paid in college. You go
to the NFL too soon, you could be done before
you start. So why risk it? Come back, get better,
get paid, and grow. That's what nil does, by the way.
It gives a guy like that a chance to come
(22:17):
back and grow more and not force it, not push it,
not rush it. Yeah, imagine Rodney, if you were playing
and you had a shot to go and you were okay,
you're okay.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
You knew you could get better.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
You knew one more year would help you.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
And anybody that goes to the pros early, they're well
aware of the fact of whether they need another year
or they don't. Okay, So if somebody leaves early, well
I'm just great, not me. You might need another year.
If they're going to get paid, they'll get that other year.
It's good for him and it's good for USC. Yeah,
I would like it too. Between my junior year and
(22:55):
senior year. My junior year we had a really good year.
We ended up beating you and we were big time underdogs,
had a chance, and we beat him and went to
the Rose Bowl.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
And then the next year we were projected. We had
everybody coming back for my senior year, everybody, and we
were preseason top five and had a chance to win.
Going into the last week against Notre Dame, we were
number two in the country. They were number one, but
we dominated throughout that whole season my senior year. So
it was if I was in that situation again, it
(23:29):
would have been like I could have been a whatever pick,
but having a chance to win a national title, win
a Heisman Trophy and be a number one pick, yeah,
I would have came back for sure. So I'm glad
he's doing it. I'm glad he's doing I'm happy for him.
Speaker 8 (23:44):
We know the Rams have a huge game on Thursday
night against Seattle and still up in the air. As
a status of DeVante Adams, he did not practice today.
He reaggravated his hamstring injury and Sundays went over Detroit.
Still no work kind of murky news coming out of
the Rams campus to whether or not he'll be available
to play. But when you're dealing with a hamstring with
a player as important as he is, I think you're
probably trying to exercise as much caution as possible.
Speaker 9 (24:06):
Despite how big this game on Thursday night's going to.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
Be, one percent you do you do not play him.
I would be shocked if he plays the rest of
the season. You know it depends. I mean, this is
the game right Seattle. This is a big game and
can determine the division and where everybody's seated. Uh. I
think he's a guy that's going to be a difference
maker once you get to the playoffs. You need him
(24:29):
at as close to one hundred percent as possible, so
you do not risk him playing at all. That would
hamper him being in the playoff. He's too valuable, too
big a weapon for Matthew Stafford and the Rams, And uh,
I'd play it with caution.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
And dude, they're doing the right thing. Oh, I agree.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 9 (24:49):
I'm just gonna say, I guess Frederick reason.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
No, I know, you know what.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I was sitting here thinking I'd already said that listening
to Rodney. Honestly, I'm not kidding. He's like, yeah, that
makes sense. No, you don't push this, you don't rush this. No, no, no, no, no,
he's too valuable. As a matter of fact, I would suggest,
and it's not my call, I would suggest to take
Thursday off. It's a short week. Wait a minute, it's
a short week. Don't don't go out there and force this.
(25:16):
Just take it off. Get better.
Speaker 9 (25:19):
It sound as if you're saying the Rams like.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
This is a big game for the Ram. You can't
do it, you know, Rams.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Packet it.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
No, Davonte Adams, Davante Adams, just take it easy, Relax,
We'll get to the following week.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
I see no reason to rush this at all.
Speaker 8 (25:34):
And on the way out, congratulations to Sean mcway and
his wife. They gave birth to their or she gave birth,
I should say, to their second son earlier this morning.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
They go, dad, congratulations.
Speaker 9 (25:45):
And that's what's lighting up the headlines.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
All right, we're back to wrap it up.
Speaker 7 (25:55):
Make AM five seventy l a sports a preset before
you plug in your phone, and the iHeartRadio app now
available with Apple car Play and Android autom just another
easy way to listen to LA's best sports talk.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
Come on, let's go, Freddy, finish it up on a
beautiful Tuesday in December. There's some folks that have snowed in,
Freddy on a December what is it sixteenth snowed in
and can't get outside zero degrees saw some of those
football games this past weekend zero degrees minus two minus one.
(26:32):
Here we are at seventy two degrees out here. Well,
here's the thing, here's the deal.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Uh, since I was back in the Midwest, I understand
the snowy conditions.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
And it's great to be honest.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
You know, if you have a chance to see some
of the snow during this holiday season, you should because
there's something magical about it and something romantic about it.
And after you've seen it for a day, get the
hell out of there and get back to the warm way.
You know, it's magical in a romantic if you get
to go and see it. It's a very different story
if you're stuck in it. And that's why we have
(27:09):
Mammoth and Big Bear. You want to see some snow,
you know where to go. Get it right back to
the warmth, because that's where you want to be. Trust
me after what I went through in Cincinnati over the weekend.
All right, Ronnie, thank you, thank you for a terrific
job today. You know you are exemplary always. And Kevin,
thank you for all your hard work on.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
This day as well. Ronnie, did you buy that? Ronnie?
Speaker 2 (27:33):
He doesn't believe me. He thinks I'm just babbling. Okay, Rodney,
we got him again tomorrow, Yes, sir,
